A Wisconsin welfare check uncovered a nightmare scene: a home choked with filth, maggots, and animal waste where dogs and cats starved amid overflowing litter boxes. Five horses and an alpaca also suffered in filthy stables. The woman, Lauren Madsen, who lived rent-free caring for the animals, was found intoxicated and now faces 15 animal cruelty charges after her sister reported her missing.
