- 1:33Speaker 1: The key player in a high profile.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Murder case out of Texas is giving his first in
- 1:38Speaker 2: depth TV interview to our Nurissa Knight.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Hey Narissa.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Chris A Sun walks into a nightmare of a scene
- 1:48Speaker 4: his mother stabbed to death inside their apartment and drenched
- 1:54Speaker 4: in blood from forty eight vicious knife wounds. And first,
- 2:00Speaker 4: it's a mystery why anyone would want to so savagely
- 2:04Speaker 4: kill this much loved and admired single mom.
- 2:08Speaker 5: One of the hardest things for me to wrap my
- 2:11Speaker 5: mind around was the motive in this case.
- 2:14Speaker 4: But as CoP's investigate, they uncover a Texas sized murder
- 2:18Speaker 4: plot hatched at this high school by the most unexpected
- 2:22Speaker 4: person caught hiding in plain sight.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Was all captured on tape.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Tmosum Khan was a forty three year old divorced mother
- 2:32Speaker 4: of two who had immigrated from Pakistan to raise her
- 2:35Speaker 4: kids on her own in suburban Houston.
- 2:38Speaker 5: Tibosom Khan was a mother first and foremost. Her whole
- 2:42Speaker 5: world revolved around her children.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Timosum had devoted her life to them.
- 2:48Speaker 5: She worked in order to provide for them. All of
- 2:52Speaker 5: her energy went to raising her children and providing them
- 2:58Speaker 5: a safe home and a comfortable home.
- 3:04Speaker 4: And the apple of her eye was seventeen year old
- 3:07Speaker 4: son Danish to Bossum's youngest child and the only one
- 3:11Speaker 4: still living at home. She gave him everything every teenage
- 3:15Speaker 4: luxury her modest income could buy.
- 3:18Speaker 3: She gave him a card, she gave him a credit card.
- 3:21Speaker 3: She took care of every one of his needs.
- 3:25Speaker 4: But to Bossum was a dedicated, hands on mom who
- 3:28Speaker 4: also made Danish earn his privileges.
- 3:32Speaker 5: She wanted to make sure that his school work was done,
- 3:36Speaker 5: that he was at school.
- 3:38Speaker 4: And Danish was living up to his mother's high expectations
- 3:42Speaker 4: at Robert E. Lee High School, where he was a
- 3:44Speaker 4: straight A senior who was immensely popular with his teachers
- 3:48Speaker 4: and fellow students.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Danish was the class president. Danish was the high school
- 3:55Speaker 3: principal student helper. Danish was perceived as the student leader
- 4:01Speaker 3: in the school.
- 4:03Speaker 4: With a bright future ahead of him.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Danish Manhaus was the type of kid that was going
- 4:07Speaker 3: to be a winner. He was going to be very
- 4:09Speaker 3: successful in life.
- 4:11Speaker 5: Danish dressed immaculately, fingernails you know, filed at just everything perfect.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Most likely to be president, most likely to become Euston
- 4:22Speaker 3: police chief, most likely to be attorney general, most likely
- 4:27Speaker 3: to be a millionaire.
- 4:29Speaker 7: But Danish's world was about to suddenly and tragically come
- 4:34Speaker 7: crashing down when he returns home to find his mother,
- 4:39Speaker 7: the woman.
- 4:39Speaker 8: Who lived for him, lying dead on the living room floor,
- 4:45Speaker 8: her head and upper body covered with a blanket, and
- 4:49Speaker 8: what lies beneath the blanket.
- 4:53Speaker 4: Is like a scene from a horror movie, one that
- 4:57Speaker 4: will be seared into the teenager's memory for the rest
- 5:01Speaker 4: of his life. A distraught Danish calls nine.
- 5:06Speaker 1: To one one on the floor between the sofas. That
- 5:09Speaker 1: blood on Okay, she is she mading normally, She's gone.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Danish can barely speak through his tears. We have help
- 5:19Speaker 4: coming for you.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Okay, down the lane, let me know.
- 5:27Speaker 4: Even veteran homicide detective Brian Harris is shocked when he
- 5:31Speaker 4: arrives at the crime zee.
- 5:34Speaker 3: It was such a brutal crime.
- 5:36Speaker 5: Tabossom Khan was stabbed repeatedly, over and over and over again,
- 5:41Speaker 5: dozens and dozens of times. She had injuries all over
- 5:46Speaker 5: her body. The majority were around the neck the face area.
- 5:51Speaker 5: She had some defensive wounds, clearly trying to prevent her death.
- 5:56Speaker 3: She had stab wounds on her forearm, She had stab
- 5:59Speaker 3: wounds on her legs, gouges on her legs, but.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Her killer had left behind a telltale clue.
- 6:09Speaker 3: It looked as though we had bloody fingerprints around her ankles,
- 6:13Speaker 3: as if she was kicking and somebody was holding her
- 6:15Speaker 3: legs down while they continued to staff.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Investigators initially think to Bossam may have been murdered during
- 6:23Speaker 4: a burglary, and it.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Was clear based on the evidence the envelopes being moved,
- 6:28Speaker 3: the killer was looking for something, which was backed up
- 6:31Speaker 3: by the blood spatter and transfer blood on several white envelopes.
- 6:37Speaker 4: But cops couldn't find any sign of forced entry at
- 6:40Speaker 4: the apartment.
- 6:41Speaker 3: The doorframe was not damaged at all. There was no
- 6:45Speaker 3: fresh wood as if somebody pried the door open.
- 6:49Speaker 4: That, along with the particularly savage way to Bossom was
- 6:53Speaker 4: murdered and the fact that her head was covered by
- 6:56Speaker 4: her killer makes investigators look in another direction.
- 7:01Speaker 3: That's an indication that perhaps has a relationship, that the
- 7:04Speaker 3: person knew who their victim was. It is also an
- 7:07Speaker 3: indication that the person may be shameful.
- 7:10Speaker 4: Now, cops try to figure out who.
- 7:12Speaker 3: That may be, breaking down the life that she had led,
- 7:19Speaker 3: who she was, who she was dating, who she knew,
- 7:22Speaker 3: what she did for work, what was her relationship with
- 7:25Speaker 3: her family.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Next, cops follow the trail of bloody clues on the
- 7:32Speaker 4: front door.
- 7:33Speaker 3: That wasn't Tabson's blood that we were looking at, and.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Even they can't believe where it leads them.
- 7:39Speaker 3: The hair on the back of my neck stood up.
- 7:44Speaker 2: A single mother of two is stabbed to death in
- 7:46Speaker 2: her Houston area apartment. She's found by her distraughts on dating.
- 7:50Speaker 2: It's a popular high school senior our nurse and I
- 7:53Speaker 2: picks up the story from.
- 7:54Speaker 4: There, Chris, who would want Texas mother to bossom con debt.
- 8:00Speaker 4: The killer's identity may have been a mystery to this
- 8:03Speaker 4: day had he not made a huge mistake. He left
- 8:07Speaker 4: his bloody hand wrench on the door handle.
- 8:10Speaker 3: That wasn't Tabson's blood that we were looking at.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Cops pour over the forensic evidence and they go back
- 8:19Speaker 4: to the nine to one one call to search for
- 8:21Speaker 4: more clues.
- 8:23Speaker 1: There's but over his face, her hair and lag the
- 8:26Speaker 1: sofa of the carpet.
- 8:27Speaker 4: One of them is in the voice of seventeen year
- 8:30Speaker 4: old Danish, who called for help after discovering his mother's body.
- 8:34Speaker 9: This is okay, you don't know what happened.
- 8:38Speaker 4: I just got I just got it from Dallson.
- 8:40Speaker 1: I just watched it this morning.
- 8:43Speaker 4: Right there, a clue that tips off homicide detective Brian Harris.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Even before being asked where he was that night, Danish
- 8:51Speaker 4: offers up an alibi.
- 8:53Speaker 3: If the killer is actually the one calling nine to
- 8:56Speaker 3: one one, they will try to lay out their alibi,
- 9:00Speaker 3: and on this none one one tape, he mentions he
- 9:04Speaker 3: was in Galveston.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Harris says. Danish then offers more unsolicited information to cover
- 9:10Speaker 4: his tracks.
- 9:11Speaker 3: He also mentions that the door was open.
- 9:14Speaker 4: I can the door was unlocked.
- 9:18Speaker 3: The door a lot, so either the victim opened up
- 9:24Speaker 3: the door or the door was left open for the killer.
- 9:29Speaker 4: But even with all of that, this season cop recoils
- 9:32Speaker 4: when he comes to suspect that tell taled bloody handpread
- 9:36Speaker 4: on the door will turn out to be long to
- 9:38Speaker 4: Debossom's own seventeen year old son, Danish.
- 9:42Speaker 3: The hair on the back of my neck stood up.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Harris says, he noticed something else suspicious that the bloody
- 9:49Speaker 4: crime scene. Danish's spotless clothing. There was no blood stains,
- 9:55Speaker 4: so he looked clean as a whistle.
- 9:58Speaker 3: He was completely clean. He he looked as if he
- 10:01Speaker 3: could be in a magazine modeling for prep university.
- 10:06Speaker 6: But you knew there was something there.
- 10:08Speaker 3: There was something there because you don't find your mom
- 10:11Speaker 3: and not go to them, not hold them. There was
- 10:13Speaker 3: no staining on his hands. Danish was the type of
- 10:16Speaker 3: person that truly believes he's the smartest person in the
- 10:19Speaker 3: room and that he has seen enough crime scene shows
- 10:22Speaker 3: about blood evidence that if he didn't have any on him,
- 10:26Speaker 3: he certainly wouldn't be a suspect.
- 10:31Speaker 4: Investigators also learned that Danish had a fierce argument with
- 10:35Speaker 4: his mother just the day before her murder.
- 10:38Speaker 3: The argument, ironically, was over whether or not she would
- 10:42Speaker 3: sign his paperwork to do an internship for the Houston
- 10:46Speaker 3: Police Department.
- 10:49Speaker 5: To Danish, it seemed that it was all about him
- 10:53Speaker 5: wanting to be this man and that his mother was
- 10:59Speaker 5: this obstacle for him to do what it is that
- 11:02Speaker 5: he wanted to do with his life.
- 11:05Speaker 4: And detectives asked Danish about it when he's brought in
- 11:09Speaker 4: for questioning.
- 11:10Speaker 9: She wanted me to go and say more on medical
- 11:12Speaker 9: professional lawn and I want to do law and law enforcement.
- 11:16Speaker 4: Danish admits he had had other arguments with his mother
- 11:19Speaker 4: about her being overprotective and too strict in regards to
- 11:22Speaker 4: his social life.
- 11:24Speaker 10: She was scared losing her son.
- 11:26Speaker 5: The things that he wanted were things like to go
- 11:30Speaker 5: out with his friends at night.
- 11:34Speaker 4: And Danish says he and his mother also clashed over
- 11:37Speaker 4: that the day before she was murdered. When he told
- 11:40Speaker 4: her he wanted to stay out late that night, she.
- 11:43Speaker 11: Treats me as if you know, I was like the
- 11:47Speaker 11: only son in the horns how.
- 11:48Speaker 4: World detectives asked Danish straight out if he might have
- 11:53Speaker 4: killed his mother in a rage.
- 11:55Speaker 10: Did you hurt your mom as in her feelings? I
- 11:58Speaker 10: think I heard a feeling he talking about physically hurt.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:02Speaker 11: No, I can't even do that.
- 12:05Speaker 3: I can't.
- 12:05Speaker 10: I can't do that. That's my mother.
- 12:08Speaker 4: And Danish offers an alibi, saying he took a girlfriend
- 12:12Speaker 4: to the movies and near Vy Galveston, dropped her home
- 12:15Speaker 4: at four thirty am, and stayed out all night, just
- 12:19Speaker 4: like he wanted, before returning to his own home nearly
- 12:22Speaker 4: four hours later to find his mother stabbed to death.
- 12:28Speaker 3: I came hot.
- 12:28Speaker 4: You've got little versions unconscious. Detectives don't buy his story.
- 12:35Speaker 3: You saw a lead little creature walk in here.
- 12:39Speaker 4: And again they suggest Danish killed his mother.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Kind of had a big bill on it, and it
- 12:44Speaker 3: went quack quack, quack quack. What would that creature be called?
- 12:48Speaker 4: Ure?
- 12:49Speaker 3: Okay? But you would call it a duck if you
- 12:52Speaker 3: saw a little creature like that, right, you said that, right?
- 12:56Speaker 10: I called the duck.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Right. It walks like a duck, cracks like a duck,
- 13:02Speaker 3: looks like a duck. It's what duck.
- 13:04Speaker 4: And now they try to get him to crack it's a.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Duck, okay. And with your mom's debt screaming and it's
- 13:14Speaker 3: somebody very close to her screaming, and it's the one
- 13:19Speaker 3: time her son goes out all night long, why don't
- 13:22Speaker 3: you go home? At four point thirty in the morning.
- 13:25Speaker 10: Oh, I was with a friend and after he dropped off,
- 13:27Speaker 10: I drove around.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Why that was just too late already, you know, I
- 13:32Speaker 3: was like, I was just doing my mom in the morning.
- 13:34Speaker 4: When I see her detectives now feel sure Danish is lying.
- 13:40Speaker 3: This is a kid that his mom would say, you're
- 13:43Speaker 3: not allowed to drive at the freeway, and you're not
- 13:45Speaker 3: allowed to be out after eight o'clock at night, And suddenly,
- 13:48Speaker 3: on a Tuesday, during the school night, he's going to
- 13:50Speaker 3: be allowed out all night. It just didn't make any sense.
- 13:55Speaker 4: They accuse him of killing his mom.
- 13:58Speaker 10: The fact of the matter is that it happened, and
- 14:03Speaker 10: you're never going to be free of it until you
- 14:05Speaker 10: let it go.
- 14:09Speaker 11: It happened.
- 14:10Speaker 10: My mom's dead, but I didn't do it.
- 14:15Speaker 4: But he sticks with his story.
- 14:18Speaker 10: I didn't kill a letter.
- 14:21Speaker 11: I can't even go there.
- 14:23Speaker 10: Why would I kill my mother when she's done.
- 14:25Speaker 11: So much for it?
- 14:26Speaker 4: That only makes Brian Harris even more certain Danish is
- 14:31Speaker 4: their man.
- 14:32Speaker 3: He was accused of killing his mother or hiring somebody
- 14:35Speaker 3: to kill his mother, and he continued to take it
- 14:37Speaker 3: an innocent person. They're only going to take just so
- 14:41Speaker 3: much of accusations like that. But minhas he would have
- 14:45Speaker 3: stayed there all night if he was allowed to, so
- 14:49Speaker 3: we now had potential evidence.
- 14:54Speaker 4: Next, the fingerprint report leads investigators straight to the beast
- 14:59Speaker 4: who steps have to bossom to death and.
- 15:02Speaker 7: Guess what, snap, it's not Danish.
- 15:08Speaker 2: We returned to today's murder mystery. The hard working single
- 15:12Speaker 2: mother is stabbed to death inside her hall. At first,
- 15:15Speaker 2: police zero in on a very unlikely suspect, their son, Danish,
- 15:19Speaker 2: the well like class president of his high school.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Our nurse to night is back.
- 15:23Speaker 4: With more detectives know this bloody handprint on the front
- 15:28Speaker 4: door handle of the apartment was left by the beast
- 15:31Speaker 4: who stabbed loving mom to Bossom Khan to death.
- 15:34Speaker 3: That wasn't Tavison's blood that we were looking at.
- 15:38Speaker 4: And even when forensic tests fined it doesn't belong to
- 15:42Speaker 4: her son Danish, they still won't believe he's innocent.
- 15:47Speaker 3: He definitely was involved in this crime up to his eyeballs, but.
- 15:52Speaker 4: They have no evidence to link Danish to his mother's
- 15:56Speaker 4: murder until one of his class is arrested on an
- 16:01Speaker 4: unrelated drug charge.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Normahmad was a crook. He was a criminal. He was
- 16:06Speaker 3: a gang member. He's been involved in robberies and other
- 16:09Speaker 3: types of crimes.
- 16:11Speaker 4: But Noor as he was known, would never have been
- 16:14Speaker 4: connected to the killing of Tabossam Khan. Had the arresting
- 16:18Speaker 4: officer not noticed something odd.
- 16:21Speaker 3: While he was being arrested and walked to the car.
- 16:24Speaker 3: He kept on shouting to fellow schoolmates, tell Donish, Tell Donish,
- 16:29Speaker 3: tell Donish, give me a call, Tell Donish, I'm going
- 16:31Speaker 3: to jail, and the officer snapped to.
- 16:33Speaker 4: That, alerting homicide detective Brian Harris, who observes something else
- 16:40Speaker 4: a little strange about Nor.
- 16:42Speaker 3: He's wearing one glove like Michael Jackson on his hand.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Then he takes it off and I see the stitches.
- 16:48Speaker 3: I asked him to explain, how'd you get that cut?
- 16:51Speaker 3: And he says he was cutting turkey.
- 16:53Speaker 4: But Harris claims Noor really did it while cutting to
- 16:56Speaker 4: Bossom Khan, and his blood is found to that on
- 17:00Speaker 4: the door handle of her apartment.
- 17:03Speaker 3: And it was a huge home run for He says
- 17:05Speaker 3: it was a positive match.
- 17:07Speaker 4: Confronted with that and other forensic evidence against him, Nor
- 17:12Speaker 4: confesses that he murdered to Bossom. But then the biggest shocker,
- 17:17Speaker 4: Newor claims Danish paid him to do it.
- 17:20Speaker 3: How much money was he promising you with this whole
- 17:22Speaker 3: deal with his mom.
- 17:23Speaker 12: At first he was promising five g's and then that's
- 17:27Speaker 12: when I did it, And then he saw my thumb
- 17:28Speaker 12: when I hopped back in the car, and I was like, man,
- 17:30Speaker 12: what the he's all that man for five g's.
- 17:33Speaker 10: He was like, man, I got you, I got you.
- 17:34Speaker 10: Don't worry, man, I throw some extra mount I'll give
- 17:35Speaker 10: you another five Jesus and that. And I was like okay.
- 17:38Speaker 10: I looked at him like okay, okay.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Then so ten thousand.
- 17:41Speaker 4: Yes, Nor tells detectives the money was to come from
- 17:46Speaker 4: robbing Danish's mother.
- 17:47Speaker 3: But did he pay you any money up front?
- 17:49Speaker 10: And as he paid me one thousand up front.
- 17:52Speaker 4: Nor says, Danish drives him to his Houston apartment complex.
- 17:56Speaker 10: When he dropped me off, she said, he opened the
- 17:58Speaker 10: trunk in to the clothes.
- 18:01Speaker 3: What else did he give you?
- 18:02Speaker 10: And there was a nice in the trunk I picked up.
- 18:04Speaker 4: According to new Danish then goes to the apartment ahead
- 18:08Speaker 4: of him.
- 18:10Speaker 12: Listen that he explained to me that, uh, once I
- 18:12Speaker 12: get inside the house, he'll open the door for me.
- 18:15Speaker 4: And when Danish returns to his car, Nor says he
- 18:19Speaker 4: goes in to rob to bossom.
- 18:22Speaker 12: I kind of panicked cause I was like, I thought,
- 18:23Speaker 12: first secd, I'm not I shouldn't do this, but they
- 18:26Speaker 12: already seen me, and so I just jumped and I
- 18:28Speaker 12: I just attacked and I.
- 18:29Speaker 10: Started I grabbed him. Kay started stabbing her in the stomach.
- 18:33Speaker 12: I think in the stomach, and then she sh pulled
- 18:36Speaker 12: me closer, biting me, and okay, I'm gonna be her.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Okay, I'm sitting on the couch. Okay, I'm sitting on
- 18:43Speaker 3: the couch.
- 18:44Speaker 10: Like, let's say, you you grab me what your left,
- 18:46Speaker 10: You're praying me close. I'm just stabbing you right here.
- 18:49Speaker 11: But you're like just choking.
- 18:50Speaker 3: You're trying to choke me.
- 18:51Speaker 10: Okay, and I'm I I I start moving and.
- 18:53Speaker 12: I played my my mouth right here and started stabbing
- 18:55Speaker 12: you in the neck.
- 18:57Speaker 4: He continues stabbing to Bossom a total of forty eight
- 19:01Speaker 4: times until she's dead.
- 19:04Speaker 10: I saw her eyes rolled over.
- 19:05Speaker 4: I'm like, oh, Nor tells detectives. He then started looking
- 19:11Speaker 4: for the cash that Danish said he would find in
- 19:14Speaker 4: a white envelope.
- 19:15Speaker 12: Would you start going through all the envelopes like I
- 19:17Speaker 12: started looking a round. I'm like, what the heck is it?
- 19:19Speaker 12: I saw a white envelope, but I didn't think there
- 19:21Speaker 12: was no money in it. But then after that, I
- 19:23Speaker 12: just I just like I didn't want to be in there.
- 19:25Speaker 4: No mark blood on envelopes would be found to be
- 19:29Speaker 4: his from that cut he got on his hand while
- 19:32Speaker 4: stabbing to Bostle, and detectives had no reason to doubt
- 19:36Speaker 4: Nor's confession was the truth.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Nord's a sociopath, a Ted Bundy kind of person, very
- 19:43Speaker 3: likable guy, but he knew he was caught, and he
- 19:46Speaker 3: said once he gave us our fingerprints, if we ever
- 19:49Speaker 3: came back to him again, he knew he was done,
- 19:51Speaker 3: and he said he knew that we had too much
- 19:53Speaker 3: evidence on him.
- 19:55Speaker 4: But when confronted with norse confession, Danish still denied he
- 20:00Speaker 4: had anything to do with his mother's murder, and even
- 20:03Speaker 4: denies knowing Nor until he's presented with this security video
- 20:09Speaker 4: showing the two walking and talking together at Robert E.
- 20:13Speaker 4: Lee High School not long before to Bossom was stabbed
- 20:16Speaker 4: to death.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Once we're able to identify Nor and Dnish and put
- 20:20Speaker 3: those two together, it was clear it was all captured
- 20:23Speaker 3: on tape.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Still Danish blames it all on Nor.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Trying to claim that Nor Muhammad was a big bad
- 20:32Speaker 3: man who held them at knife point, kidnapped him and
- 20:35Speaker 3: said you're gonna help me rob somebody today, and so
- 20:39Speaker 3: Danish led him to his mother and said, please don't
- 20:43Speaker 3: hurt her.
- 20:44Speaker 4: But Danish finally comes clean, confessing to cops.
- 20:49Speaker 3: I mean, you may not have done the act, but
- 20:51Speaker 3: do you see how your actions were? I mean, do
- 20:55Speaker 3: you take responsibility for that?
- 20:58Speaker 5: I think what is hard for me to grasp is
- 21:02Speaker 5: that this is a seventeen year old who planned out
- 21:07Speaker 5: the execution of his mother, and that is just chilling.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Another shocker in this case. According to investigators, seven other
- 21:18Speaker 4: people at this high school knew about the murder and
- 21:21Speaker 4: didn't step four.
- 21:23Speaker 5: What I find interesting about the people who knew about
- 21:26Speaker 5: this is that none of them knew of it from
- 21:29Speaker 5: Danish Minhas.
- 21:31Speaker 4: They say the leaker was Danish's hired killer who told
- 21:35Speaker 4: seven school pals what he did, but still managed to
- 21:39Speaker 4: keep his dark secret from school officials.
- 21:43Speaker 5: Everyone who knew about it came from Nourmuhammed, who actually
- 21:47Speaker 5: was openly struggling with the act that he did.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Nor Mohammed pleads guilty and gets forty years. Danish Minhaas
- 21:56Speaker 4: fesses up to being the mastermind behind the murder of
- 22:00Speaker 4: his mother and his sentenced to fifty years behind bars.
- 22:05Speaker 4: And this twisted stories not over yet.
- 22:08Speaker 11: The whole plan was I go in, hey and just
- 22:12Speaker 11: this this gonna happen.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Next.
- 22:15Speaker 4: From behind bars in his first ever TV interview, Danish
- 22:19Speaker 4: Minhass tells Crime Watch Daily that he never intended for
- 22:24Speaker 4: his mother to be killed or even armed. So you're
- 22:27Speaker 4: saying that your plan wasn't to kill your mother, but
- 22:31Speaker 4: to rob her, and you come in as the savior.
- 22:34Speaker 11: Yes, ma'am, as she was never supposed to die.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Now, to the conclusion of today's murder mystery, let's head
- 22:42Speaker 2: back to Houston and our nurse a Knight Chris.
- 22:45Speaker 4: It was a shocking headline, A Texas teen hires his
- 22:49Speaker 4: high school classmate to murder his mother. Today that teen
- 22:53Speaker 4: danish Minhass is talking to me from inside prison walls
- 22:56Speaker 4: here for his first ever TV interview. Now, danish Minhaus
- 23:02Speaker 4: shuffles through the prison halls and shame serving fifty years
- 23:07Speaker 4: for his role in the murder of his mom to
- 23:10Speaker 4: Bossom and he would tell me her death was a
- 23:13Speaker 4: crazy teenage plan gone tragically wrong.
- 23:16Speaker 11: She was never supposed to die.
- 23:18Speaker 4: Danish says. His classmate nor Mohammad, who confessed to doing
- 23:22Speaker 4: the killing and is serving a sentence of forty years
- 23:24Speaker 4: behind bars, was only supposed to rob to Bosom to
- 23:28Speaker 4: make him look like a hero.
- 23:30Speaker 9: Were supposed to stage robbery. Basically, I was supposed to
- 23:34Speaker 9: come home nighting shiny on.
- 23:37Speaker 11: Hey, Mom, what happened? I'm here for you.
- 23:39Speaker 9: Hey, you know what, this is my time to be
- 23:41Speaker 9: your adult son. I'm going to take care of you.
- 23:43Speaker 4: Danish tells me his hope was that his mother would
- 23:46Speaker 4: then treat him like a man instead of a child.
- 23:49Speaker 9: She doesn't realize I'm senior in high school and I'm
- 23:51Speaker 9: going to college and be a cop.
- 23:53Speaker 11: I'm being mad at the house instead.
- 23:56Speaker 4: Danish claims he walked into their Houston apartment to find boss,
- 24:00Speaker 4: I'm dead and drenched in blood from forty eight stab wounds.
- 24:05Speaker 6: What did you think when you saw your mother lying
- 24:07Speaker 6: there motionless?
- 24:08Speaker 11: What was going on in your head at that time?
- 24:13Speaker 9: I thought she might still be alive. That's why when
- 24:18Speaker 9: I touched her, there was no response to me that
- 24:25Speaker 9: that was the end of everything that I knew.
- 24:27Speaker 1: I came home, gottle bird, is she bleeding normally?
- 24:30Speaker 13: Mercy?
- 24:30Speaker 1: She got there, She's gone.
- 24:34Speaker 4: I listened to your nine one one call?
- 24:36Speaker 6: Was it an act?
- 24:37Speaker 5: Was that?
- 24:37Speaker 9: Sincere I knew what happened, and I knew that was
- 24:39Speaker 9: the cause of that, So that was on when I
- 24:42Speaker 9: was really able to let go of my emotions.
- 24:45Speaker 4: He said he hid those emotions when he was questioned
- 24:48Speaker 4: by detectives, but then vented them privately.
- 24:51Speaker 9: I sit in my car in the jahway and I'm crying,
- 24:54Speaker 9: or I'm in shower. I'm crying because I wouldn't cry
- 24:56Speaker 9: in front of them.
- 24:57Speaker 4: Danish now twenty four says that look looking back, he
- 25:00Speaker 4: sees how foolish she was to hatch such a plot
- 25:03Speaker 4: against his own mother.
- 25:05Speaker 9: I don't think I understood the consequences of if you
- 25:08Speaker 9: do this and things are supposed to go according to plan,
- 25:12Speaker 9: Murphy's law comes into play, and that's what happened, and
- 25:16Speaker 9: you can't control what the next person might do.
- 25:21Speaker 3: That happens.
- 25:22Speaker 4: You didn't understand the consequences of life actions, of what
- 25:26Speaker 4: you were doing.
- 25:27Speaker 9: Right because, according to me, since I orchestrated this and
- 25:32Speaker 9: no one's supposed to get hurt, you know, everything's supposed
- 25:34Speaker 9: to go down this way, and then.
- 25:38Speaker 11: I guess turn of events happen. You understand that now,
- 25:42Speaker 11: just ma'am most definitely unfortunately.
- 25:45Speaker 6: Too late for her. Yeah, do you consider yourself a murderer?
- 25:51Speaker 4: Do you consider her blood on your hands?
- 25:54Speaker 11: Yes, I'll wrestle with that f few palms. I guess
- 25:58Speaker 11: you feel like you're a better person now.
- 26:00Speaker 9: To be honest, I don't think I was a bad
- 26:02Speaker 9: person in the beginning, and the letter of the law committed,
- 26:04Speaker 9: but I don't have a criminal mindset.
- 26:06Speaker 11: I don't believe that.
- 26:08Speaker 4: But Danish admits there have been times when he's thought
- 26:11Speaker 4: of killing himself out of guilt over what he did
- 26:13Speaker 4: to his mother.
- 26:15Speaker 9: And I think to myself at Thomas about that, and
- 26:18Speaker 9: that's when I get depressed. I've contemplated her to myself.
- 26:24Speaker 4: I asked Brian Harris, the homicide detective who put Danish
- 26:27Speaker 4: behind bars for his reaction.
- 26:30Speaker 3: That doesn't surprise me that Danish would talk about taking
- 26:34Speaker 3: his own life, but Danish would never do anything to
- 26:37Speaker 3: harm himself, because Danish still believes in his own head
- 26:41Speaker 3: that he's the best looking and smartest guy in that prison.
- 26:45Speaker 4: He also scoffed at Danish's claim that he never intended
- 26:49Speaker 4: for his mother to get hurt.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Danish is still trying to manipulate you. He's still trying
- 26:54Speaker 3: to be the author of his own story, and the
- 26:56Speaker 3: story of the murder of his mom has already been written.
- 27:00Speaker 3: Book is closed on who Danish minhas is, yet he
- 27:04Speaker 3: keeps on trying to reopen it and rewrite his own story,
- 27:08Speaker 3: and he just can't get it right.
- 27:10Speaker 4: Danish has plenty of time to work on it. His
- 27:13Speaker 4: first chance that parole won't come until twenty thirty five.
- 27:17Speaker 4: How will you be?
- 27:19Speaker 9: It's between forty two and forty three, the age your
- 27:21Speaker 9: mother was when she was murdered.
- 27:23Speaker 11: Yes, are you remorseful for what you did?
- 27:26Speaker 4: Are you shameful for the hand you played in this?
- 27:30Speaker 11: Yes? Most definitely.
- 27:32Speaker 9: I'm not the only one that's actually doing tom My
- 27:34Speaker 9: family's doing time with me, but they were essentially robbed of.
- 27:38Speaker 11: My mom's presence.
- 27:40Speaker 4: Brian Harris offers Danish some final words of advice.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Until Danish unlocks and grapples with what he did to
- 27:48Speaker 3: his own mother, he'll forever be in prison, and then
- 27:52Speaker 3: at least his soul can be free.
- 27:55Speaker 1: All right now? A story we followed very closely here
- 27:57Speaker 1: in Crime Watch Daily Mystery.
- 28:00Speaker 2: On a moonless night, headlights from a truck to purist
- 28:05Speaker 2: the dark, California, Scott.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Driving into a walnut orchard.
- 28:10Speaker 6: It doesn't make sense, a random act.
- 28:13Speaker 2: It's Allie Yeoman's truck stuck in the mud. But where
- 28:18Speaker 2: is aled?
- 28:19Speaker 14: Ali has just vanished in the thin airs.
- 28:24Speaker 1: The beautiful twenty year old college student gone.
- 28:27Speaker 5: Where was she?
- 28:28Speaker 1: Her family desperate to find her, the.
- 28:31Speaker 10: Ma heart of hearts.
- 28:33Speaker 15: I think she's out there somewhere.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Her father Daniel, too distraught to.
- 28:37Speaker 6: Talk, has taken it extremely.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Does this surveillance video hold clues to her disappearance? And
- 28:46Speaker 2: who is the mystery man seen with her just before
- 28:48Speaker 2: she vanished? A man her mother Paula, never heard of
- 28:53Speaker 2: until now.
- 28:55Speaker 16: I didn't know about him and I didn't know old
- 29:00Speaker 16: that Keevin existed. He's old enough to be her father.
- 29:05Speaker 2: She was named Alisia, but everyone called her Ally, as
- 29:09Speaker 2: her aunt Martine tells Our Melissa McCarty.
- 29:12Speaker 6: What kind of girl is Allie? Allie is.
- 29:16Speaker 15: A twenty year old that really looks sixteen and wears
- 29:20Speaker 15: makeup to look twenty years old. A very sweet, gullible,
- 29:24Speaker 15: beautiful girl, and stubborn.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Allie works two jobs at both Starbucks and McDonald's all
- 29:32Speaker 2: while attending college.
- 29:34Speaker 16: She wanted to be a nurse.
- 29:36Speaker 6: What about nursing is her passion?
- 29:39Speaker 16: She loves making sure people are happy, and I think
- 29:42Speaker 16: she wants to put that effort into doing that for others, and.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Her other passion riding quad bikes on her grandfather's farm.
- 29:52Speaker 6: We're the dynamic two of the Yemens.
- 29:55Speaker 2: The farm in Gridley, California, about sixty miles north of Sacramento.
- 30:00Speaker 2: It was a playground for Ali and her cousin Melanie.
- 30:02Speaker 6: I remember Ali would just go way too fast.
- 30:06Speaker 15: It would freak me out, and I'd find they're doing
- 30:08Speaker 15: donuts everywhere, and.
- 30:11Speaker 14: I don't know.
- 30:11Speaker 6: It's it's really tough to talk about past tense, you know,
- 30:15Speaker 6: because you just want you want answers.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Yeah, answers that could be found by tracing Allie's last steps.
- 30:22Speaker 2: On the night she disappeared, Ali met a man for dinner,
- 30:26Speaker 2: a thirty seven year old man.
- 30:28Speaker 17: Do you know of the person she was last seen with?
- 30:31Speaker 17: I do not personally know of him, but I not
- 30:35Speaker 17: your crowd, wasn't your friends, No, oh.
- 30:37Speaker 13: God, no, no, no, no.
- 30:38Speaker 6: I he came out of nowhere. I feel like it
- 30:42Speaker 6: just seems so random that night. You mean random that
- 30:45Speaker 6: she would be having dinner with him.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Random?
- 30:48Speaker 15: I mean, yes, just that everything that happened that night
- 30:51Speaker 15: was very strange.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Allie and the man were seen eating at this Indian
- 30:57Speaker 2: restaurant in Yuba City. Then they reported went to his
- 31:00Speaker 2: house and joined by other partiers. She drank some wine
- 31:04Speaker 2: and then later headed home, but Ali apparently took the
- 31:07Speaker 2: back roads to get there. Her ex boyfriend Leo Altamonte
- 31:11Speaker 2: tells our Sacramento affiliate KEYTXL she often does that when
- 31:15Speaker 2: she's been drinking.
- 31:17Speaker 12: She didn't want to get caught by the cops and
- 31:18Speaker 12: have put on more problems than it already has.
- 31:20Speaker 6: Probably so she wants to take the back of us
- 31:23Speaker 6: to be safe.
- 31:24Speaker 2: When she doesn't show off for work the next morning,
- 31:27Speaker 2: a frantic search is underway.
- 31:30Speaker 1: They find her truck stuck in the mud in the
- 31:32Speaker 1: middle of this walnut orchard.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Investigators see a single set of footprints leaving a trail
- 31:38Speaker 2: from her truck.
- 31:39Speaker 14: There were items ufts in the vehicle that you would
- 31:41Speaker 14: think someone would take with them.
- 31:42Speaker 2: I'll say that surveillance video from a nearby farm shows
- 31:47Speaker 2: Ali's truck driving up to and around a gate leading
- 31:50Speaker 2: into the orchard.
- 31:51Speaker 17: Ali or someone in her truck, we just know her
- 31:55Speaker 17: truck was driving down this way right in it appeared
- 31:57Speaker 17: it's correct.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Sutter County Sheriff's Lieutenant Dan Butler took us to the
- 32:02Speaker 2: exact spot where Allie's truck was found.
- 32:04Speaker 14: How did it get to this location, Well, that's a
- 32:08Speaker 14: matter of speculation. We can tell up until the levee
- 32:14Speaker 14: here at approximately twenty two to fifty five hours, she's
- 32:18Speaker 14: seen approaching the levee and surveillance at igry to speed
- 32:21Speaker 14: and then she drives around a gate or whomever is
- 32:24Speaker 14: in the truck drives around a gate.
- 32:26Speaker 17: But at this location, it wasn't enough water for her
- 32:28Speaker 17: to say fall in and get swept away. No, absolutely not, Okay,
- 32:32Speaker 17: so that's ruled out.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Look at this aerial view shot by Ketxl's drawn you
- 32:38Speaker 2: can see tire tracks where Allie got stuck in the mud,
- 32:42Speaker 2: and just a few feet away on the levee Allie's
- 32:45Speaker 2: cell phone that was right.
- 32:46Speaker 14: Where we're standing.
- 32:47Speaker 6: Her cell phone was here.
- 32:48Speaker 14: Her cell phone was here on the levee. I don't
- 32:51Speaker 14: know if it was placed for us to find or
- 32:53Speaker 14: if it was dropped by her. I don't know. That's
- 32:58Speaker 14: it with all the other mysteries in this case.
- 33:02Speaker 1: It's a mystery Allie's family wants solved.
- 33:06Speaker 6: She's a dark, a dear devil.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Oh yeah, she takes.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Risks remembering the good times. Her father Daniel, too upset
- 33:14Speaker 2: to speak, gets up and walks away in tears.
- 33:18Speaker 11: He's taking it in an extremely.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Yeah, understandably, emotions are still raw.
- 33:27Speaker 11: This is not a celebration right here.
- 33:29Speaker 15: Now, we just need to bring a home.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Next, we track down the mystery man, believed to be
- 33:35Speaker 2: the last person to see Ali before she vanished.
- 33:38Speaker 6: Did you have anything to do with the disappearance of Ali?
- 33:45Speaker 2: Allie Yeoman has been missing for five weeks and no
- 33:48Speaker 2: one is more upset than her father Daniel.
- 33:52Speaker 15: Every night he goes in a room, he says, good
- 33:53Speaker 15: night Ali.
- 33:58Speaker 10: Tough.
- 34:00Speaker 1: The family is rallying around Daniel.
- 34:03Speaker 6: Daniel's having a tough time. How's he doing?
- 34:07Speaker 16: He tends to keep things in.
- 34:11Speaker 6: It's hard for him.
- 34:13Speaker 16: It's really hard for him.
- 34:15Speaker 6: That's his baby girl.
- 34:17Speaker 16: He's used to seeing her running out of the door
- 34:21Speaker 16: going Okay, I'm gonna be back and da da dah,
- 34:23Speaker 16: or i'll see you later, dad, or I love you.
- 34:25Speaker 16: You could talk about a person and tell them you
- 34:29Speaker 16: love him so much, and when you don't.
- 34:32Speaker 6: Hear it back, it's terrifying. So yeah, he's having a
- 34:39Speaker 6: tough time.
- 34:45Speaker 2: The night, Allie vanished. She met a mystery man for dinner.
- 34:48Speaker 2: He's the last person believed you have seen her alive.
- 34:53Speaker 6: Did you have anything to do with the disappearance of Alley?
- 34:55Speaker 13: I had nothing to do with the disappearance of ALLEI.
- 34:59Speaker 2: We tracked down thirty seven year old Mike Lizarraga, a
- 35:02Speaker 2: contractor in Yuba City, California.
- 35:04Speaker 1: He agreed to speak with Crime Launched.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Daily, telling us he met twenty year old Alley only
- 35:09Speaker 2: once before, when she was on a date with his nephew.
- 35:13Speaker 6: So did she actually reach out to you?
- 35:16Speaker 13: She said, I'm coming to Uba City? You know, what
- 35:20Speaker 13: are you going to be doing either Wednesday or Thursday?
- 35:22Speaker 6: Why do you think she reached out to you only
- 35:24Speaker 6: meeting you once?
- 35:26Speaker 3: I asked her.
- 35:26Speaker 13: I said, hey, why out of nowhere, Jesus hit me
- 35:29Speaker 13: up and like, hey, I'm coming to town. You know
- 35:31Speaker 13: you want to I was like, well, I just really
- 35:34Speaker 13: liked the way that you talk to people. You seem
- 35:36Speaker 13: like you listen pretty well.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Mike says all she wanted from him was some dating advice.
- 35:42Speaker 13: She did talk about how she had a crush on somebody,
- 35:44Speaker 13: and she's just like, I just want to know, you know,
- 35:46Speaker 13: am I trying to.
- 35:47Speaker 2: Hurt Mike says, after dinner at this Indian restaurant in
- 35:50Speaker 2: Yuba City, she invited herself to his house.
- 35:53Speaker 1: He says, his son and one other couple were there too.
- 35:56Speaker 13: She's like okay, She's like, well, I got a bottle
- 35:58Speaker 13: of wine. And I was like, I got some wine too.
- 36:00Speaker 13: She's like, well, I'm gonna come by it.
- 36:01Speaker 11: I'm like yeah, she was.
- 36:02Speaker 13: Chugging, you know, my bottle of wine. I was like, okay,
- 36:05Speaker 13: maybe she's in party mode right now. You probably should
- 36:07Speaker 13: just pass out on the couch for a while, get
- 36:10Speaker 13: some sleep.
- 36:11Speaker 3: No, I can't.
- 36:11Speaker 13: I gotta wake up at five o'clock in the morning,
- 36:13Speaker 13: get ready. I gotta be at work by six.
- 36:15Speaker 11: So I was like, okay, I get it. I get it.
- 36:17Speaker 13: And I said, but you have been drinking.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Oh I know, you know, but I know the back
- 36:21Speaker 3: roads really well.
- 36:23Speaker 2: But when Allie took the back road, somehow her truck
- 36:27Speaker 2: ended up stuck in the mud at this orchard.
- 36:30Speaker 1: That's when she vanished.
- 36:34Speaker 6: And you actually offered a polygraph.
- 36:36Speaker 13: No, I was at a sheriff's department. I said, I
- 36:38Speaker 13: don't care whatever it takes. You guys can do whatever
