- 2:44Speaker 5: to have baby head y'all. Okay, but before we get

- 2:54Speaker 5: Does it?
- 2:54Speaker 2: Ray?
- 2:55Speaker 5: It's community shoutout time, It's community highlight time. And baby
- 2:58Speaker 5: this week, this week, this is a little bias. I'm
- 3:02Speaker 5: gonna go ahead and sad to tell people it's a
- 3:03Speaker 5: little bias. It's a little bias. Why because this young
- 3:07Speaker 5: lady has been holding us down. Okay, listen, sometimes as
- 3:13Speaker 5: well as you grow, the Lord will send you help.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Okay, the Lord's gonna send you help. And baby, she
- 3:19Speaker 2: has been helping.
- 3:20Speaker 5: She was already supporting, but then the Lord sent her
- 3:23Speaker 5: our way and she has been serving in the background.
- 3:26Speaker 5: And so we just love some and not the one
- 3:32Speaker 5: for Friday. She is not close to the one for Friday, baby,
- 3:35Speaker 5: baby bad. Okay, just go check her Instagram.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Felicia underscore raw.

- 3:50Speaker 5: I just hear the Lord say more and more and
- 3:52Speaker 5: more for you, more and more and more for you
- 3:53Speaker 5: in twenty twenty five, not only just more for you,
- 3:56Speaker 5: but more for your children, more for your legacy. More
- 3:59Speaker 5: and more is coming to you, and not only to you,
- 4:01Speaker 5: but through you. Hallelujah. I see the Lord just using
- 4:04Speaker 5: you in a mad, a mighty, mighty mighty way, even
- 4:08Speaker 5: ways that you could not predict for yourself. And God
- 4:11Speaker 5: is saying he is taking the limits off. No longer
- 4:13Speaker 5: will you have to break them yourself. God is partnering
- 4:16Speaker 5: with you in this season. So girl, keep on moving,
- 4:19Speaker 5: keep going up.
- 4:20Speaker 2: We love you, y'all. Give it up for police. You
- 4:25Speaker 2: gonna find your button? Did you find it? Did you
- 4:27Speaker 2: touch it? They're gonna change some stuff up over here.
- 4:29Speaker 5: I'm glad because you and this button is working. It
- 4:33Speaker 5: it worthing, y'all, y'all, y'all. Let me tell y'all something
- 4:36Speaker 5: I know. Yeah, yeah, yeah, warn you.
- 4:42Speaker 2: I'm hum yeah.
- 4:45Speaker 5: She she came in hot and Reddy fun baby, busts down.
- 4:50Speaker 2: I can't wait for this Camel season. Bust down. Okay.
- 4:53Speaker 2: The woman that we have here is the total package. Okay.
- 4:58Speaker 2: She is a survivor, a fighter.
- 5:02Speaker 5: She fins, she fins, she finds. Okay, she is representing
- 5:09Speaker 5: you guys for the forty and overs. Okay, baby, she
- 5:13Speaker 5: don't look it. She smooth, smooth like bottle. Okay, is
- 5:18Speaker 5: when I tell you she's multi faceted, fashion, comedy, finance,
- 5:25Speaker 5: what else?
- 5:26Speaker 2: Health, women's health, like everything.
- 5:28Speaker 5: I think I can ask her a question about anything
- 5:30Speaker 5: that she could have an answer for it.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Why.
- 5:31Speaker 5: Because the Lord has taken her through some things, brought
- 5:34Speaker 5: her out of things, out of some things, and she
- 5:36Speaker 5: is more than conquerors because she chose God. She's a
- 5:38Speaker 5: daughter of the King, the child the most High. None
- 5:41Speaker 5: other than doctor shan Quynette got too excited. I got
- 5:49Speaker 5: two let me break up. That is so embarrassing, wen Seantaquette.
- 5:57Speaker 5: What did I say running back? Oh, we're gonna to
- 6:01Speaker 5: edit it out to chant to collet. I just got
- 6:05Speaker 5: hot in the face and ready like the little ready,
- 6:10Speaker 5: How did how you do that? I know this lady name,
- 6:14Speaker 5: Let me start, Let me try to get.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Literally what for this? And I just like, how did
- 6:23Speaker 2: I just mess it up? Anyway? How you doing?
- 6:26Speaker 4: I'm doing well?
- 6:26Speaker 2: Doctor?
- 6:27Speaker 5: Here you you you shopped. I know it's gonna be
- 6:32Speaker 5: good because the enemy was just trying to miss get
- 6:39Speaker 5: out your head because I'm shoulder get out of Let's talk.
- 6:41Speaker 5: Let's talk about get Let's talk because I'm about to
- 6:44Speaker 5: go straight into that. But before we go straight into that,
- 6:46Speaker 5: how are you?
- 6:47Speaker 4: I'm doing well? Thank you so much for it was amazing.
- 6:50Speaker 4: Here you got. You got a small.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Little airport, this cozy staying in your business, your business,
- 6:58Speaker 2: stay gone. You look good.
- 7:02Speaker 5: Now this this, this, this jacket. Now you gotta give
- 7:05Speaker 5: us y'all.
- 7:06Speaker 4: Y'all never would.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Never could have made it.
- 7:13Speaker 4: The Lord knew better than make me a single.
- 7:15Speaker 5: I think I think you probably can if you go,
- 7:17Speaker 5: get you some listen on.
- 7:19Speaker 2: You won't keep you now. I see you were there
- 7:25Speaker 2: for me.
- 7:27Speaker 5: Let's talk about what just happened. I feel like this
- 7:29Speaker 5: is about to be an untie moment. This is about
- 7:32Speaker 5: to be an untie moment. I really feel it. You
- 7:34Speaker 5: have mastered overcoming the moment I just had. I am
- 7:40Speaker 5: so like, I am so bad at like just beating
- 7:43Speaker 5: myself down, and maybe that was the Lord he just
- 7:47Speaker 5: want to hit hit that on the head. One thing
- 7:49Speaker 5: I admire about you and what I've studied about you,
- 7:51Speaker 5: is that anything that has come your way, I mean,
- 7:54Speaker 5: you've been through it. You you've been down through there.
- 7:58Speaker 5: How have you master to the art of overcoming?
- 8:03Speaker 4: I couldn't do anything without God. Oh it's all God.
- 8:08Speaker 4: A lot of times I surprised myself because being so
- 8:15Speaker 4: young and going through so much, so fast, stroke, heart attack, stroke, retirement,
- 8:24Speaker 4: forceful retirement, being a mom, trying to still be a wife,
- 8:31Speaker 4: trying to be a mother, trying to be a sister,
- 8:34Speaker 4: all while trying to still take care of me. It
- 8:37Speaker 4: was difficult. It was difficult, but I couldn't have got
- 8:39Speaker 4: through it without God. He had his hands all on me.
- 8:44Speaker 4: And like they say, there was the people who've been
- 8:46Speaker 4: gone a long time ago that have covered me, the
- 8:49Speaker 4: prayers that are still covering me to this day.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Did you grow up in the church?
- 8:55Speaker 4: I did? I did? I did. My grandmother is an evangelist,
- 8:59Speaker 4: grew up Church of God in Christ. And I think
- 9:04Speaker 4: it was when my so my brother passed away when
- 9:09Speaker 4: I was fourteen years old and he was one years old,
- 9:13Speaker 4: and just seeing he.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Was one, he was one, Oh wow, was he ill?
- 9:17Speaker 4: Medical malpractice? And seeing my mom how she handled that
- 9:25Speaker 4: and how she prayed day and night and I never
- 9:29Speaker 4: see her lose a beat, miss a step, just gave
- 9:33Speaker 4: it all to God all the time. Even my grandmother
- 9:37Speaker 4: just just covered us all the time and just prayer
- 9:40Speaker 4: and worship and going to church. It was just just
- 9:45Speaker 4: still very very very very very early off in my
- 9:50Speaker 4: in my young age.
- 9:51Speaker 5: Yeah, I grew I grew up in church a lot too.
- 9:54Speaker 5: I'm a I'm a PK. I'm a PK. So growing
- 9:57Speaker 5: up in church it really teaches you something. But I
- 10:00Speaker 5: did not learn how to have a relationship with God until,
- 10:05Speaker 5: like I started going to church that because I wanted to,
- 10:09Speaker 5: not because I was forced to. At what point in
- 10:12Speaker 5: your life did you realize that you needed your own
- 10:14Speaker 5: relationship with God like and what did that look that
- 10:16Speaker 5: development with your relationship with Him look like?
- 10:20Speaker 4: I thought it a long time. I thought it a
- 10:22Speaker 4: long time because I know my grandmother. I remember being
- 10:25Speaker 4: maybe about five or six and my grandmother saying that
- 10:28Speaker 4: I She saying that I spoke in tongue and.
- 10:31Speaker 2: That I had this gift and got it at five
- 10:33Speaker 2: or six.
- 10:33Speaker 4: She was speaking years old, And I remember my grandmother
- 10:36Speaker 4: said that I had a special calling on my life.
- 10:39Speaker 4: And the one thing I remember her saying that it
- 10:41Speaker 4: would be a gift and it would be a curse,
- 10:43Speaker 4: But I never followed that gift always followed the curse.
- 10:47Speaker 4: So I was always running running from God. You know,
- 10:52Speaker 4: every opportunity that he was giving me to come to
- 10:55Speaker 4: him and to surrender, I wouldn't do it. I kept
- 10:58Speaker 4: snatching the pin while he was right and like this
- 11:01Speaker 4: is this is I know you got this, but this
- 11:03Speaker 4: is how I want to do it. And it wasn't.
- 11:06Speaker 4: Literally I've been I've been stabbed, I've been held at gunpoint.
- 11:12Speaker 4: It wasn't until I had my stroke, until I have
- 11:16Speaker 4: my stroke, that I finally surrendered to God. Like when
- 11:21Speaker 4: you have to face your own mortality in a way
- 11:25Speaker 4: where you you're meeting death face to face. And I
- 11:28Speaker 4: had to think, is this is this how I want
- 11:33Speaker 4: to be? Is this is this what I want my
- 11:36Speaker 4: my my legacy to be? And it wasn't. It wasn't.
- 11:40Speaker 4: God truly pulled me up by my lapels and showed
- 11:43Speaker 4: me the light I saw. I truly saw the light
- 11:50Speaker 4: and it and it took some time. It took, it
- 11:52Speaker 4: took some time. It wasn't it wasn't overnight, but just
- 11:56Speaker 4: being able to truly call on him and to see
- 11:59Speaker 4: his work and act yeah, and to see what he
- 12:02Speaker 4: could do because at first I thought, you know, I
- 12:04Speaker 4: thought I was being punished. I really thought I was
- 12:07Speaker 4: being punished when I heard God say, if you don't
- 12:09Speaker 4: come to me, if you don't come to me in
- 12:11Speaker 4: this moment, then I can't no longer use.
- 12:13Speaker 2: You come to you as in be obedient to.
- 12:17Speaker 4: What obedient to him?
- 12:19Speaker 2: So what were you? What were you running away from?
- 12:26Speaker 4: I I was just just scared, just being scared of
- 12:30Speaker 4: of that's the devil again, Like I didn't know what
- 12:39Speaker 4: to do.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Bring mic closer.
- 12:45Speaker 4: Yeah, it was just I was just I was just scared.
- 12:51Speaker 4: I can't truly tell you what I what, what I
- 12:54Speaker 4: was truly going through, But it was like it was
- 12:58Speaker 4: like the work that God was putting in front to me,
- 13:00Speaker 4: I felt like was too big for me.
- 13:02Speaker 5: M okay, okay, we got to dig deep in that,
- 13:06Speaker 5: because that's not by a happenstance, as you say that,
- 13:09Speaker 5: because this is a season that Desiree and I have
- 13:12Speaker 5: talked about being were currently and like wait, hold up,
- 13:14Speaker 5: what so how are you navigating through that? How did
- 13:18Speaker 5: you navigate from the point of being fearful? And how
- 13:22Speaker 5: are you navigating through that daily to continuously show up?
- 13:25Speaker 4: I'll come out of it. I'm like, this was you know,
- 13:28Speaker 4: so this was five years So this was five years ago.
- 13:32Speaker 4: So I had my stroke in twenty nineteen. So really
- 13:36Speaker 4: surrendering and allowing him to work, I mean just releasing
- 13:40Speaker 4: all of me and giving and giving myself to all
- 13:43Speaker 4: of him. And that took prayer. I mean that took
- 13:47Speaker 4: constant prayer, that took meditation, that it took therapy.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it took.
- 13:56Speaker 4: It took so much to get to this point and
- 13:59Speaker 4: just try and truly loving him, truly loving him and
- 14:03Speaker 4: knowing and knowing what he had what he has for me.
- 14:09Speaker 4: And the moment that I did, that thing started opening up.
- 14:11Speaker 4: Because I had this career that I absolutely loved that
- 14:15Speaker 4: I thought I was going to retire from my good
- 14:17Speaker 4: government job. I knew my pinsion, I knew when my
- 14:19Speaker 4: pension was like you know, and so I thought I
- 14:24Speaker 4: thought that I had been doing everything right. You know,
- 14:26Speaker 4: I had opened up a nonprofit, I was, you know,
- 14:29Speaker 4: really giving myself and being vulnerable to women. But I
- 14:37Speaker 4: think the thing that God was working with me with
- 14:42Speaker 4: on was empathy. It's really truly understanding who my what
- 14:49Speaker 4: my purpose was, who I was talking to. And so
- 14:53Speaker 4: when he whipped me down and had my knees buckled
- 14:57Speaker 4: and put me in a vulnerable position, put me in
- 15:00Speaker 4: a position where all the only thing I could do
- 15:03Speaker 4: was call on him. Yeah, that's when the breakthrough. That's
- 15:07Speaker 4: when the breakthrough truly happened.
- 15:09Speaker 5: You said something in the midst of that, you said
- 15:11Speaker 5: that you started to be open with women. At what
- 15:16Speaker 5: point weren't you open?
- 15:18Speaker 2: And what was you know?
- 15:22Speaker 4: I wasn't. I can't truly say that I was one
- 15:24Speaker 4: hundred percent being my authentic self because there was so
- 15:29Speaker 4: much that I was. I guess there was shame, maybe
- 15:35Speaker 4: a little bit of shame of who I who I was,
- 15:40Speaker 4: or who I thought I should be. M hm. You know,
- 15:44Speaker 4: I grew up in a very modest home, two parent,
- 15:48Speaker 4: two parent household. But you know I was. I was
- 15:52Speaker 4: a single mother. I was, I was, you know, a
- 15:56Speaker 4: team mother. You know all these things that I didn't
- 16:00Speaker 4: at some point, didn't envision my life as big and
- 16:04Speaker 4: so my family made me. Not my mom and my dad,
- 16:09Speaker 4: but you know, my aunts and uncles and stuff. They
- 16:12Speaker 4: made me. They made me shame of that I was.
- 16:14Speaker 4: I was kind of shamed of who I was because
- 16:17Speaker 4: I didn't fit this I didn't fit this picture. I
- 16:20Speaker 4: didn't go I didn't go to college. I didn't go
- 16:22Speaker 4: to college right out of high school. You know, so
- 16:25Speaker 4: I was I was a little shamed of that, you know,
- 16:28Speaker 4: but I didn't realize what God was doing, you know,
- 16:32Speaker 4: every step from being there's not I can say probably
- 16:36Speaker 4: probably one person who's probably been through everything.
- 16:38Speaker 5: Yeah, I think I will agree with that statement because
- 16:41Speaker 5: I was, like.
- 16:45Speaker 2: You said you had the stroke twice.
- 16:49Speaker 5: Okay, we're gonna get into that, because I'm just like,
- 16:53Speaker 5: how do you like you?
- 16:55Speaker 2: In my mind? Like I'm looking at you now, there's
- 16:57Speaker 2: a way you create me if I'm wrong.
- 16:58Speaker 5: You look healthy, like healthy. I know it's taking some
- 17:02Speaker 5: work or whatever. I can't look.
- 17:04Speaker 2: At you until that you had a stroke and you
- 17:07Speaker 2: say you had too.
- 17:08Speaker 5: And normally like people that I've seen with like multiple strokes,
- 17:11Speaker 5: that the face are lopside or anything, they're almost spoken to.
- 17:18Speaker 4: Out.
- 17:18Speaker 2: There is no evidence.
- 17:21Speaker 5: Well, I mean from the from you what I'm looking at.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Put me inside out, put me inside out. Let me
- 17:32Speaker 4: show you the doctor record. You want to you want
- 17:35Speaker 4: to take you want to visit me on a you
- 17:37Speaker 4: want to go with me on a doctor's visit?
- 17:41Speaker 2: Evidence she said, hold on, let me let me clock
- 17:48Speaker 2: you real quick.
- 17:49Speaker 5: You can't see it, but I can't side out. But
- 17:52Speaker 5: that's the I think that's the coolest thing about the Lord,
- 17:55Speaker 5: Like how he'll cover and protect you and you have
- 17:58Speaker 5: to tell you have to tell that part of listen
- 17:59Speaker 5: to people.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Yeah, so walk us down.
- 18:02Speaker 5: Like I know you said the aftermath of the of
- 18:05Speaker 5: the stroke, but I know I've heard you say that
- 18:08Speaker 5: you on a treadmill list you were actually working out.
- 18:10Speaker 2: You're trying to be healthy.
- 18:11Speaker 4: That was so I was healthy. So I worked out,
- 18:15Speaker 4: worked out. It was very adamant about going to the gym,
- 18:19Speaker 4: taking care of myself. And then one day I was running.
- 18:22Speaker 4: I was running on the treadmill and I started feeling
- 18:25Speaker 4: fluttering in my chest. This was around twenty eleven, twenty twelve,
- 18:29Speaker 4: and so immediately I knew something was wrong. I shouldn't
- 18:32Speaker 4: feel fluttering in my chest. I started. I kept running
- 18:36Speaker 4: on the treadmill. The fluttering continued, so I stopped, went home,
- 18:41Speaker 4: called my doctor the following day, got an appointment and
- 18:45Speaker 4: got sent to a cardiologist. Cardiologists what I will say,
- 18:53Speaker 4: it did not properly, properly diagnose me. So I went
- 18:57Speaker 4: about eight years going back and forth with doctors regarding
- 19:02Speaker 4: chest pain, shortness of breath, and was only told that
- 19:07Speaker 4: it was stressed. It was due to stress. And because
- 19:10Speaker 4: I worked for the I R S, people automatically think
- 19:13Speaker 4: you're stressed. We have no reason to be stressed. We
- 19:16Speaker 4: pay our taxes. So that's when you have to pay
- 19:22Speaker 4: your taxes when you work for the I R S.
- 19:25Speaker 4: That's not a word non negotiable. It is a requirement, okay.
- 19:30Speaker 4: And so so I wasn't. So I didn't consider myself stressed.
- 19:34Speaker 4: But when you have a health professional, somebody with expertise
- 19:38Speaker 4: telling you that you're stressed, that's what you go with.
- 19:41Speaker 4: And so I continue to live my life coexisting with
- 19:47Speaker 4: all these symptoms. I was having all these things I
- 19:49Speaker 4: was going through, not only creating more stress because I
- 19:54Speaker 4: know in my mind there's something else going on. Yeah,
- 19:58Speaker 4: but I'm an able to articulate that to a doctor
- 20:02Speaker 4: where he can understand it or believe me because I
- 20:05Speaker 4: tried Google. I tried to google my symptoms. I remember
- 20:08Speaker 4: going to my doctor and saying, hey, maybe it's this,
- 20:13Speaker 4: and he looked at me and he said, you're an accountant, right.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Wow, Now what did I'm not trying to.
- 20:21Speaker 5: Yes, I'm not trying to be biased, but can you
- 20:26Speaker 5: was the doctor of our Okay, I've heard and you
- 20:31Speaker 5: can correct me in my room that there is a disconnect.
- 20:36Speaker 4: There's a huge there is a huge disparity in health
- 20:39Speaker 4: when it comes to not only black individuals, but specifically
- 20:44Speaker 4: black women. Yeah. So, uh, I felt unheard. I you know,
- 20:50Speaker 4: there wasn't a time where I could say that I
- 20:52Speaker 4: was angry, but I was sad. I was sad because
- 20:55Speaker 4: I knew that there was more going on and it didn't.
- 20:58Speaker 4: It took my stroke for them to actually take me serious.
- 21:04Speaker 4: And that's actually after this doctor is gone, because I
- 21:06Speaker 4: had to fire my whole my whole staff, that's what
- 21:09Speaker 4: I considered my doctor is my staff, and I had
- 21:11Speaker 4: to fire my whole staff and ended up getting a
- 21:14Speaker 4: black neurologist that took me serious. Was had no choice.
- 21:19Speaker 4: I had a stroke, yeah, but was able to give
- 21:22Speaker 4: me the right cardiologists, give me the right testing, which
- 21:26Speaker 4: was months and months of testing to finally come come
- 21:29Speaker 4: down with a diagnosis of what was actually going on
- 21:32Speaker 4: with me, which was a heart condition that I had
- 21:36Speaker 4: that I have now. And it's just lucky I'm lucky.
- 21:43Speaker 4: It's it's God's grace that I'm still here.
- 21:46Speaker 5: So what's the what's the language? Did they ever give
- 21:48Speaker 5: you language to use so that you could know.
- 21:54Speaker 4: I have a condition called ASCVD?
- 21:55Speaker 2: Okay?
- 21:56Speaker 4: And so it's basically where.
- 21:58Speaker 2: You're your blood your arteries.
- 22:02Speaker 4: Your arteries close up and they closed. They caused blood cloths.
- 22:05Speaker 4: So as a result of high cholesterol.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Mmm, so is this after the this is the first stroke?
- 22:13Speaker 4: No, this is the second. This is the second. So
- 22:16Speaker 4: the first one was a mini so I had a
- 22:17Speaker 4: t I A. So it was a mini stroke, but
- 22:19Speaker 4: it was also misdiagnosed at that time.
- 22:22Speaker 5: I was just about to ask that, like, so okay,
- 22:25Speaker 5: because obviously that was a that was a disconnect.
- 22:28Speaker 2: So you still had your first first.
- 22:30Speaker 4: Dark And then about ten months later, had a mild
- 22:37Speaker 4: heart attack, had a heart attack, was in the hospital
- 22:40Speaker 4: about six days. UH. Had a stress test.
- 22:45Speaker 5: Uh.
- 22:45Speaker 4: They found that at that time there wasn't anything major
- 22:48Speaker 4: going on with my heart that I had an exercis.
- 22:52Speaker 4: I had exercise induced art arrhythmia. That was the only
- 22:56Speaker 4: thing that they had diagnosed me with, but still related
- 22:58Speaker 4: it to stress. I was told to quit my job
- 23:02Speaker 4: with my good government job and find something else to do,
- 23:05Speaker 4: because that was I was basically causing my own my own.
- 23:09Speaker 5: Demise, even though you never complained about your job to them,
- 23:15Speaker 5: never never.
- 23:16Speaker 4: Mentioned my job, even though I had my stroke on
- 23:19Speaker 4: the job.
- 23:20Speaker 5: But well, let me tell you, they probably thought that
- 23:26Speaker 5: what I feel like.
- 23:27Speaker 4: You know, here's the thing. I was adding stress, So
- 23:32Speaker 4: the stress of so there's so much stress that I
- 23:34Speaker 4: was adding to myself, not only having a having a
- 23:39Speaker 4: condition that I didn't know I had, like them telling
- 23:43Speaker 4: me nothing's wrong. Then having to go back to work,
- 23:47Speaker 4: saying that I'm having these issues, but on paper the
- 23:49Speaker 4: doctors are saying nothing's wrong. So so now my job
- 23:53Speaker 4: is is hounding me like, well, there's nothing wrong with you,
- 23:56Speaker 4: so you can come to work. You can. You don't
- 23:58Speaker 4: need to be missing days, you don't need to be
- 24:00Speaker 4: taken off. So it's that stress, you know. And then
- 24:04Speaker 4: the doctors when I had my I remember when I
- 24:07Speaker 4: had my heart attack, the doctor who I had at
- 24:11Speaker 4: the time came in and told my family that it
- 24:14Speaker 4: was that I was it was nothing wrong, that I
- 24:16Speaker 4: was stressed out. I told her that I needed and
- 24:18Speaker 4: at the time I had started gaining weight because I
- 24:21Speaker 4: stopped exercise because of the exercise induceter rhythmia that I
- 24:24Speaker 4: was scared of the fluttering that I was having in
- 24:27Speaker 4: my chest. So it was all these things going on
- 24:30Speaker 4: that was just on top on top on top on
- 24:34Speaker 4: top of the existing condition that I had.
- 24:38Speaker 5: So I see that you're you're I would call you
- 24:41Speaker 5: an advocate, would you?
- 24:43Speaker 2: So how do you teach women to navigate for themselves?
- 24:48Speaker 5: Like?
- 24:48Speaker 2: What what should we be asking doctors when we go?
- 24:50Speaker 5: We go because I'm I'm thirty two, she knocking on forty,
- 24:56Speaker 5: she knocking on forty?
- 24:58Speaker 2: What should we like?
- 24:59Speaker 5: How can we be proactive to make sure that we
- 25:02Speaker 5: don't have these conditions or things are not going on
- 25:05Speaker 5: with us?
- 25:05Speaker 2: Like we can think everything is normal.
- 25:07Speaker 5: It's like, oh, it's just this or that, Like what's
- 25:09Speaker 5: what's should we What's what should the conversation look like
- 25:13Speaker 5: with our doctor?
- 25:13Speaker 4: First, you knowing your body and trusting yourself. You know
- 25:16Speaker 4: your body better than anybody else, right, and so when
- 25:20Speaker 4: you go to the doctor, you can't be scared to
- 25:22Speaker 4: talk to them, you know, let them know what's going on.
- 25:24Speaker 4: I always say to make sure that you are making
- 25:29Speaker 4: a list of any symptoms that you have before you
- 25:33Speaker 4: go to the doctor, because it's easy to forget when
- 25:35Speaker 4: you get to doctor. Once you get to the doctor's office,
- 25:37Speaker 4: when you start naming symptoms. But make sure you know
- 25:40Speaker 4: your body, make sure you know your numbers, make sure
- 25:43Speaker 4: you That was another thing I had. My cholesterol was high,
- 25:47Speaker 4: and when my doctor went back to look at all
- 25:50Speaker 4: my records, it had always been high. It was just
- 25:52Speaker 4: getting each visit it was getting higher and higher and higher.
- 25:55Speaker 4: Nobody was addressing it. I was just taking a doctor's
- 25:58Speaker 4: word for it. There was no reason for me. I
- 26:00Speaker 4: felt like there was no reason because I wasn't knowledgeable
- 26:04Speaker 4: at the time. There was no reason for me to
- 26:06Speaker 4: go behind a doctor to see what he was saying.
- 26:09Speaker 4: I really trusted my doctor. But then when I went back,
- 26:12Speaker 4: all my numbers were high. Everything was showing that I
- 26:15Speaker 4: was leading to have a heart attack and a stroke.
- 26:21Speaker 4: It was all there. So know your numbers, know your numbers.
- 26:25Speaker 4: And if you don't trust what the doctor saying, get
- 26:27Speaker 4: you another doctor, Get you another doctor. It is okay
- 26:31Speaker 4: to find I say, be the CEO of your health.
- 26:33Speaker 4: Doctors are your work to be. And if you don't
- 26:36Speaker 4: feel confident in what the doctor's saying it's okay, get
- 26:39Speaker 4: another doctor. It's okay to question. It's okay to sit
- 26:42Speaker 4: down with the doctor and say, hey, you're paying, you
- 26:44Speaker 4: pay the doctor. It's okay to sit down and say, hey,
- 26:47Speaker 4: let's go over this, you know, and question him. So
- 26:51Speaker 4: if it's not this, what could it be? So if
- 26:54Speaker 4: you're saying it's not this, what else could it be?
- 26:55Speaker 4: What other testing could I do to rule this out
- 26:59Speaker 4: or to rule other things out?
- 27:01Speaker 5: That's really really, really really important, very important because now
- 27:06Speaker 5: I'm like it's almost like my my spiritual father told
- 27:10Speaker 5: me I was going through a transition, like with churches, right,
- 27:13Speaker 5: and he was like, Jessica, you can date the churches, like,
- 27:16Speaker 5: go if you go to different churches, just see you
- 27:19Speaker 5: don't have to commit to them, just.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Date them to see if you like them.
- 27:22Speaker 5: It's almost like you're saying the same thing, like figure
- 27:24Speaker 5: out research the doctors and they not because if you
- 27:29Speaker 5: look good, you can.
- 27:34Speaker 2: She made a point.
- 27:34Speaker 4: Eight.
- 27:35Speaker 5: Okay, she made a point, but no, for real, like
- 27:38Speaker 5: we need to not just say, oh, let me just
- 27:40Speaker 5: choose them because they said that they're a doctor. We
- 27:43Speaker 5: need to really go to like if something's really going
- 27:45Speaker 5: on and be like really specific with ourselves and care
- 27:47Speaker 5: about ourselves enough I see a specialist.
- 27:50Speaker 4: Yeah, this is so good.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Okay.
- 27:54Speaker 5: So I'm just trying to figure I'm trying to connect
- 27:57Speaker 5: the dots to how long you been funny?
- 28:00Speaker 4: Like?
- 28:00Speaker 2: How long? Where? Where did this comedic release come from?
- 28:05Speaker 4: I have been funny all my life, and I believe
- 28:08Speaker 4: I have been fun I believe all my life.
- 28:10Speaker 5: So did you start to because I know, I know
- 28:15Speaker 5: that you you started your TikTok journey with your kids
- 28:19Speaker 5: with which is just amazing. I love I love her TikTok,
- 28:24Speaker 5: and I think it's just because it's almost like you're
- 28:27Speaker 5: bridging a generational gap, like the language that is being used.
- 28:32Speaker 5: You making it makes sense to us. You're making it.
- 28:34Speaker 5: You bring us back some old school for for us.
- 28:37Speaker 5: But then the kids that are coming up.
- 28:39Speaker 4: His name is Tan, Who's that's my mama?
- 28:48Speaker 2: And I love it? So can we can we start
- 28:50Speaker 2: from the beginning from there?
- 28:51Speaker 5: How did you develop the desire to get become this
- 28:55Speaker 5: influence or did you even know that you was going
- 28:57Speaker 5: to become this influence?
- 28:58Speaker 1: No?
- 28:58Speaker 4: No, so I so I always knew I had a gift.
- 29:01Speaker 4: I always knew how to gift I was always funny
- 29:05Speaker 4: as far as I could go back. It's the second grade.
- 29:09Speaker 4: Mishappy h a p P I. She had red nails,
- 29:11Speaker 4: just like this p T. White lady. And I would
- 29:15Speaker 4: be in the back of the class trying to tell jokes.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Uh.
- 29:19Speaker 4: My daddy used to listen to Dolomite and my daddy
- 29:22Speaker 4: way down and junk way down the stepped on the elephants.
- 29:31Speaker 2: I know the name, but I don't know nothing about that.
- 29:34Speaker 2: You trigger her, you trigger her age.
- 29:36Speaker 4: She knows what I'm talking about. So my dad used
- 29:39Speaker 4: to My dad used to repeat those poems what he
- 29:43Speaker 4: called was poetry, inappropriate, inappropriate poetry, And so I would
- 29:49Speaker 4: try to repeat them, and Mishappy would come up to
- 29:52Speaker 4: me and she'd take her little finger and she'd go
- 29:55Speaker 4: like this in my head, and she say, Ms Carter,
- 30:00Speaker 4: take your show on the road, not my classroom. And
- 30:04Speaker 4: as I think about that now, she saw something to me.
- 30:07Speaker 4: She didn't tell me to stop her class in her class,
- 30:12Speaker 4: not in her classroom, not in her classroom. And so
- 30:17Speaker 4: little does she know how much life she was speaking
- 30:19Speaker 4: over me at that time. And so I always always,
- 30:24Speaker 4: no matter when the teacher, when the teacher called my
- 30:26Speaker 4: mama's house. That's what she would say when she called
- 30:30Speaker 4: my mama. Dadds. Shanta is very talkative, she's very silly,
- 30:37Speaker 4: but not in the classroom. In the classes room, and
- 30:43Speaker 4: so it's just been who who I've been all my life.
- 30:47Speaker 4: And so the comedy that has now turned into a
- 30:54Speaker 4: full time gig for me was not intentional. I use
- 30:59Speaker 4: comedy as an hour. I use it as an outlet
- 31:02Speaker 4: because when I was going through this transformation, when I
- 31:05Speaker 4: was in my metamorphous stage, I was really just trying
- 31:11Speaker 4: to figure things out and figure out myself and figure
- 31:14Speaker 4: out where I was going and who God was calling
- 31:17Speaker 4: me to be. And my daughter, my daughter and my
- 31:21Speaker 4: son came to me one day and was like, Hey,
- 31:24Speaker 4: do you want to get Can you get on TikTok
- 31:26Speaker 4: with us and do a video? And it was during
- 31:28Speaker 4: the pandemic. They were home, and I was like, sure,
- 31:31Speaker 4: what is tiktac? I don't know what ticktack is, but
- 31:34Speaker 4: I'm gonna get on and I'll get on. I get
- 31:37Speaker 4: on ticktac with you. I get on tiktac with you.
- 31:39Speaker 4: And so I did a video with them, and then
- 31:42Speaker 4: they got my husband involved, and then we just started
- 31:46Speaker 4: doing TikTok videos and then I asked them to download
- 31:49Speaker 4: it on my phone and I was a watcher. I
- 31:53Speaker 4: was just watching videos and I was just like, oh,
- 31:55Speaker 4: I just got so inspired. So I started creating my
- 31:58Speaker 4: own videos. At first, they were not comedy related. I
- 32:01Speaker 4: was doing voiceovers, I was talking about my nonprofit. I
- 32:04Speaker 4: was cooking food, doing all these things. And one of
- 32:08Speaker 4: my girlfriends was like, girl, you should get on there
- 32:10Speaker 4: and tell them jokes and that stuff you'd be telling us.
- 32:12Speaker 4: And I was like, girl, nobody want to say we're
- 32:14Speaker 4: gonna getting stuff. I was like, I can't get I'll
- 32:17Speaker 4: get canceled. I know what it means now. I know
- 32:20Speaker 4: what it means.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Now said I get cancer.
- 32:23Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 32:23Speaker 4: I don't think that was the word I used, but
- 32:25Speaker 4: I know it canceled now. And one day I was
- 32:29Speaker 4: coming from therapy. I was in therapy for two years,
- 32:32Speaker 4: four days a week, three to four hours a day, occupational, physical, cognitive,
- 32:37Speaker 4: and speech therapy. And so I am someone who loves
- 32:42Speaker 4: to look beautiful, loves.
- 32:44Speaker 2: To dress up because you bad bad and give them
- 32:54Speaker 2: were doing one time bound.
- 32:59Speaker 4: She did asked for that, but I it was like extra.
- 33:01Speaker 5: It was.
- 33:03Speaker 4: But when I tell you. My aunt uses My aunt
- 33:06Speaker 4: uses this phrase, you might y'all, y'all from the South,
- 33:09Speaker 4: rolled hard and put up with.
- 33:12Speaker 2: Now, m don't hard put up with.
- 33:15Speaker 4: Just think about a white a rag, a wet rag,
- 33:19Speaker 4: rolled up and dry, and when you take it out,
- 33:22Speaker 4: you know how it look ragged. That's rolled hard and
- 33:25Speaker 4: put up. And so that's how I felt hard. I
- 33:32Speaker 4: just I didn't recognize myself. I didn't recognize myself. And
- 33:37Speaker 4: I came home.
- 33:39Speaker 5: I was feeling mighty bad, feeling muttery. Look, I was
- 33:47Speaker 5: feeling mighty bag. That's all you do at home? Quote
- 33:54Speaker 5: quote all scripts out of the.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, got a movie.
- 34:02Speaker 4: Bad. And I turned on my video. I turned on
- 34:06Speaker 4: my TikTok uh video and I started talking about a
- 34:13Speaker 4: time where my mom it came to my school and
- 34:16Speaker 4: also making it relatable to how I was feeling in
- 34:21Speaker 4: that moment. And I did a video called me without
- 34:25Speaker 4: Me Without my Wig.
- 34:27Speaker 2: Oh okay, Now.
- 34:31Speaker 5: Now I'm interested in the story you without your wig with.
- 34:35Speaker 4: Me without my Wig. And so basically it's about my
- 34:38Speaker 4: daughter Sona and how the school calls and says it's
- 34:44Speaker 4: that there's a strange man picking her up from school
- 34:47Speaker 4: every day and they don't know who this strange man is.
- 34:51Speaker 4: And so they describe the man. They say, hair is fragile,
- 34:55Speaker 4: he's got a light mustache. Uh, he's out of shape,
- 35:00Speaker 4: and I'm just shocked. I don't know who it is.
- 35:03Speaker 4: And I demand that they send me a picture because
- 35:06Speaker 4: I don't believe it. I say, send me a picture.
- 35:08Speaker 4: There's no way you know she's coming home every day.
- 35:10Speaker 4: There's no way a man is picking her up. And
- 35:13Speaker 4: if it is, I need to know who it is.
- 35:15Speaker 4: And they send the they send the picture.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Please don't tell and it's me. I felt that in
- 35:23Speaker 2: my spirit.
- 35:24Speaker 4: I was like, without my wig on, help was Jesus?
- 35:35Speaker 2: Oh man? He said, please don't tell me. That was
- 35:42Speaker 2: no way, okay.
- 35:44Speaker 4: He said the hall was fragile, My hair was fragile, fragile,
- 35:48Speaker 4: light mustache. Sha.
- 35:53Speaker 5: And what was your response when you and I'm sorry, I.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Was like, please don't say it was her? So you
- 36:02Speaker 2: recorded that, you told the people that it.
- 36:04Speaker 4: Was recorded it. I recorded it, and I had a
- 36:07Speaker 4: preface on the screen. Have you seen my daughter? And
- 36:12Speaker 4: so have you seen my daughter? And first it got
- 36:15Speaker 4: it got removed, it got removed. The ladies were like, oh,
- 36:19Speaker 4: my God, this is so this is so dangerous, This
- 36:23Speaker 4: is so scary. You know, you know, we got trafficking,
- 36:26Speaker 4: we got children that actually you know, this is just so.
- 36:31Speaker 5: I was like, Okay, maybe I went overboard, and maybe
- 36:36Speaker 5: I'm I know, I'm endearingly inappropriate, but I.
- 36:40Speaker 4: Kind of have I have a dark I have a
- 36:42Speaker 4: dark mind and I love dark comedy, and so I
- 36:47Speaker 4: appealed it. Though I appealed it, and they I won
- 36:51Speaker 4: the appeal. I reposted the video, but I changed the
- 36:55Speaker 4: preface and God, in that moment told me, no, change
- 37:03Speaker 4: it back to what it was. M change it back
- 37:05Speaker 4: to what it was. And I'm gonna tell you something.
- 37:07Speaker 4: A little bit before this, God said, change it back
- 37:10Speaker 4: to what it was. I changed it back, went to bed,
- 37:15Speaker 4: woke up the next morning. My phone is like going crazy,
- 37:20Speaker 4: I mean crazy, Like I didn't even know what was
- 37:22Speaker 4: going on. Like I was just like notifications was coming.
- 37:24Speaker 4: I was like, what is going on. One of my
- 37:28Speaker 4: friends out of state called me and was like, there's
- 37:34Speaker 4: a video. I'm gonna send it to you. Is this you?
- 37:39Speaker 4: And I'm like he's like, dude, you viral. I was like,
- 37:45Speaker 4: what does that even mean? Yeah, it means I'm home
- 37:48Speaker 4: on disability. Oh wow, And I looked like I was
- 37:51Speaker 4: real healthy in that video.
- 37:53Speaker 2: They don't send me back to work.
- 37:55Speaker 4: I don't want to go back to work black people.
- 38:03Speaker 2: I gotta come in there with a limp in the.
- 38:08Speaker 4: Speech therapy.
- 38:12Speaker 2: She need But you didn't know. You didn't went viral.
- 38:20Speaker 2: You don't know what viral and viral.
- 38:22Speaker 4: And then from there so and I got I was
- 38:24Speaker 4: actually because I didn't know what it meant. I didn't
- 38:26Speaker 4: know what the virality was. I did not even know
- 38:29Speaker 4: what that meant. I was like, okay, I got to
- 38:32Speaker 4: keep my good government job. I don't know what's going on.
- 38:35Speaker 4: And I remember my boss, my boss who's a good friend,
- 38:39Speaker 4: a good friend of mine. It was like, oh my god,
- 38:42Speaker 4: you're putting up numbers. Oh my god, you are so funny.
- 38:45Speaker 4: But we always know. He calls me Deuce. That's my
- 38:48Speaker 4: nickname because the movie quoting movies, uh cold movies in
- 38:53Speaker 4: the in the office place. But he was like, this
- 38:58Speaker 4: is dope, This is dope. And the people started asking
- 39:01Speaker 4: for more, and I was like, well, it's this gonna
- 39:04Speaker 4: be Like I was worried about my job, but God
- 39:07Speaker 4: was doing something else. Because just a week before that,
- 39:11Speaker 4: I posted on Facebook, God, make my name known to
- 39:16Speaker 4: the world. Wow, I just got so I can serve
- 39:24Speaker 4: the people that you want me to serve.
- 39:28Speaker 5: That's so interesting that you just you say that, because
- 39:32Speaker 5: it seems like she is literally telling us what we're
- 39:35Speaker 5: going through right now, Like okay, so no, like this
- 39:41Speaker 5: this time last year, this time last year, and we'll
- 39:46Speaker 5: talk about moing after the camera. The Lord had me
- 39:49Speaker 5: leave my job to do this, and so I'm about
- 39:54Speaker 5: to tell you something. Oh my gosh, uh uh, don't
- 39:56Speaker 5: cry when you say this, girl, won't he do it?
- 40:01Speaker 5: So I had and I don't even think I told
- 40:04Speaker 5: you this, Desiraate. I had a moment toward the end
- 40:08Speaker 5: of the year, like in December, and I was I
- 40:14Speaker 5: was questioning myself like, Okay, did I make the right move?
- 40:18Speaker 2: Did I hear you right? Did I?
- 40:20Speaker 5: You know? Am I being selfish? Am I serving like
- 40:24Speaker 5: you want me to serve?
- 40:25Speaker 2: Am I doing like? Am I give you my gifts? Like?
- 40:27Speaker 5: Because this journey is not easy God, And I'm just
- 40:29Speaker 5: trying to make sure my heart is in the right
- 40:31Speaker 5: place because the numbers not numbering, the this is not
- 40:34Speaker 5: doing this And I'm working like we work hard like this,
- 40:37Speaker 5: this is cute, this recording and cute, this part is cute,
- 40:41Speaker 5: But am I really like you gotta show me something?
- 40:45Speaker 5: And you hit me up in my dim Now we
- 40:49Speaker 5: had already scheduled, but God had to remind me and
- 40:53Speaker 5: then he allowed me to like you were just you
- 40:55Speaker 5: were on my timeline, but you had started just being
- 40:57Speaker 5: really really heavy on my timeline and so in my mind,
- 41:01Speaker 5: I was like, well you in my mind, you already
- 41:03Speaker 5: at a million million followers because I guess I was
- 41:05Speaker 5: paying attention to the TikTok more than the Instagram because
- 41:07Speaker 5: I love TikTok.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Hope they don't meet you.
- 41:13Speaker 4: This is a calling to the people.
- 41:17Speaker 5: Call him, call him please and tell him what you
- 41:21Speaker 5: want please do. But no, And I was looking at
- 41:25Speaker 5: and God just really highlighted you for me, and it
- 41:28Speaker 5: was big for me because he used miss tab in
- 41:31Speaker 5: the beginning of the year and then you you at
- 41:33Speaker 5: the end of the year says keep going like keep
- 41:36Speaker 5: like and I just listened to your story. I know
- 41:38Speaker 5: it took you time, Like in those moments where I'm
- 41:41Speaker 5: like I'm having like what was your what was your
- 41:44Speaker 5: push like? What was your push through? Because this is
- 41:46Speaker 5: this is not easy at all, Like, well, this is easy,
- 41:49Speaker 5: but like the consistency part of it. Especially, I dealt
- 41:53Speaker 5: with shame, I dealt with doubt. I deal with it
- 41:56Speaker 5: a lot. That's why I was like, I got to
- 41:57Speaker 5: get out of my head. I have to get out
- 41:58Speaker 5: my head about the early Yeah, because I was like,
- 42:01Speaker 5: you see what I don't deserve none of this. Like
- 42:03Speaker 5: the enemy will really like psych you out. What do
- 42:07Speaker 5: you do when you about to have them psych out?
- 42:10Speaker 4: Moments? Cause I say, my my affirmation that I say
- 42:14Speaker 4: every day is God showed me how good it can get.
- 42:16Speaker 2: Ooh, and I allow him.
- 42:19Speaker 4: I allow him to use me and everything I do.
- 42:22Speaker 4: So every thought that I get comes from God, every
- 42:26Speaker 4: every thought, every suggestion, everything I do, whether I reach
- 42:31Speaker 4: out to people, it's all God. And I remove I
- 42:35Speaker 4: removed out because He showed me when I when I
- 42:39Speaker 4: put on Facebook, God make my name visible in the
- 42:43Speaker 4: work to the world. He did it in a week.
- 42:46Speaker 4: He did it in one week. Oh, I can show
- 42:53Speaker 4: you better. And I was so worried about God knew
- 42:59Speaker 4: that I would so worried about the money. Yeah, I
- 43:03Speaker 4: was so worried about I was so worried about the money.
- 43:06Speaker 4: I was like, and and I have a I have
- 43:09Speaker 4: a good man at home. I got a I have
- 43:11Speaker 4: a wonderful man, and that he had never asked me
- 43:16Speaker 4: anything about my paycheck. And he was like, listen, you're good.
- 43:22Speaker 4: You don't have to worry. But I like making my
- 43:25Speaker 4: own I like being somewhat independent in my own in
- 43:30Speaker 4: my own realm. And God knew that I was. I was.
- 43:35Speaker 4: I was worried about that, but he was like, I
- 43:38Speaker 4: gotta show it again, Buffalo wild wings in my inbox.
- 43:44Speaker 4: They're like, hey, we want to offer you this for
- 43:46Speaker 4: you to do this, and I'm like, man, this is
- 43:50Speaker 4: this is more than I was making in a paycheck.
- 43:54Speaker 4: You asked me to do something for fifteen seconds. You
- 43:58Speaker 4: want me to do a fifteen second video for what
- 44:01Speaker 4: I will for what I was making making more there
- 44:05Speaker 4: than I was making in.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Two paychecks with the government.
- 44:10Speaker 5: With the government and the government they say, the government,
- 44:13Speaker 5: the government paid well.
- 44:14Speaker 4: Good government job that I've been on a long time,
- 44:19Speaker 4: and it just it just kept getting better, it kept
- 44:23Speaker 4: kept increasing, kept increasing. And then then I get the
- 44:27Speaker 4: celebrity endorsements, you know where you know people reaching out
- 44:31Speaker 4: like Snoop Dogg just posted you snoop. Steve Harvey just
- 44:34Speaker 4: posted you. God said, I see you. I can make
- 44:38Speaker 4: your name visible. Just trust me. You w on national.
- 44:43Speaker 4: I'll get you global. See all these little thing you
- 44:48Speaker 4: asking for little things, I got big things. What I
- 44:52Speaker 4: got for you is you can't even see you can't
- 44:55Speaker 4: even see that far. And it was, it was, it
- 45:02Speaker 4: was that right there. So anytime that the enemy tries
- 45:07Speaker 4: to lurk up.
- 45:10Speaker 5: Elbowing and how you do it, I was about to say,
- 45:16Speaker 5: give me that look again, doesn't stop the game, stop
- 45:22Speaker 5: stop because he gonna go forward.
- 45:25Speaker 4: I'm gonna do it.
- 45:25Speaker 2: I can't keep together.
- 45:29Speaker 4: He's just he's just amazing, and and and it and
- 45:32Speaker 4: it built a closer relationship with everyone in my household,
- 45:41Speaker 4: including my son, because I believe my son was hit
- 45:44Speaker 4: the hardest because he's the youngest. He was hit the
- 45:47Speaker 4: hardest with me having a stroke. And and I know
- 45:52Speaker 4: this because I remember one one time I was sleeping
- 45:56Speaker 4: the I was sleeping the bed and I woke up
- 46:01Speaker 4: and he was standing over me, and I was like, oh,
- 46:03Speaker 4: what are you doing? And he was He said he
- 46:06Speaker 4: was trying to see if I was cold, and I
- 46:09Speaker 4: was like, oh, you want to you was trying to
- 46:11Speaker 4: give me a blanket, and he was.
- 46:13Speaker 2: Like, no cold, Mmmm, whoa cold? What did that do
- 46:20Speaker 2: to you?
- 46:27Speaker 4: It hurt? No, it made me. It made me sad,
- 46:30Speaker 4: you know, it made me face my mortality even more. Yeah,
- 46:34Speaker 4: and it made me value life a lot more and
- 46:42Speaker 4: to create memories because at that time, I was like,
- 46:48Speaker 4: you know there, you know, we don't we don't know
- 46:51Speaker 4: when our expiration dated.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Yeah, you know.
- 46:54Speaker 4: And so while I'm laying comfortably in my bed, I
- 46:58Speaker 4: need to start living life, truly living life. And everything
- 47:03Speaker 4: that I do with my son is intentional because I
- 47:08Speaker 4: want him to have those memories and those moments that
- 47:11Speaker 4: he can always look back on. All my children, I
- 47:14Speaker 4: want them to be able to look back on, you know.
- 47:19Speaker 4: So that it was it was really important for me
- 47:22Speaker 4: to leave that legacy behind because, like I said, we
- 47:26Speaker 4: we all, we all on a timeline.
- 47:29Speaker 5: Yeah you know, you know, yeah, you bring your son
- 47:34Speaker 5: up and I'm so glad y'all.
- 47:35Speaker 2: Be y'all be having too much fun.
- 47:37Speaker 5: Okay, I want the way you come to his room
- 47:41Speaker 5: and just starting kicking.
- 47:42Speaker 2: Thum how like? So was he the was like, how
- 47:48Speaker 2: did that dynamic come about?
- 47:50Speaker 5: As far as y'all doing a lot of y'all's reels
- 47:53Speaker 5: together because I look, I think those are my favorite
- 47:56Speaker 5: ones because it seems, it seems it brings like I said,
- 47:59Speaker 5: it bring, it brings just a gap.
- 48:00Speaker 4: And exactly it's authentic.
- 48:04Speaker 5: It shows that all black boys don't do the same thing.
- 48:07Speaker 5: But he's a respectable young man like everything. So how
- 48:11Speaker 5: how is it for you guys? Like do y'all come
- 48:14Speaker 5: up with the skits before, like y'all brainstorm together? Like
- 48:17Speaker 5: how does that work? And is he trying to be
- 48:19Speaker 5: inspired like a comedian too?
- 48:21Speaker 4: He's so addicon is funny. He is, Well, my whole
- 48:24Speaker 4: family is funny. Everybody is funny in my family, my husband, everybody.
- 48:29Speaker 4: But it's improv We improvise. It's all improvisation. We don't.
- 48:35Speaker 4: We don't. When I come in his room, a lot
- 48:37Speaker 4: of times he's just laying in the bed and he
- 48:40Speaker 4: may he may just be waking.
- 48:41Speaker 2: Up, you disturbing the piece.
- 48:46Speaker 4: So he sleeps. So like you know, so a lot
- 48:48Speaker 4: of times, well if he's if you hear him, that
- 48:51Speaker 4: means he's up, a lot of times if you don't
- 48:52Speaker 4: hear him, he's he's he's sleep. So we still gotta
- 48:55Speaker 4: get you know, we still got to get that that
- 48:56Speaker 4: camera time. But I just say, hey, this is this
- 49:01Speaker 4: is the topic, and we just flow off of each
- 49:04Speaker 4: other's energy. Our chemistry is solid.
- 49:08Speaker 5: It's tight because I really thought, y'all like, we don't like, okay,
- 49:11Speaker 5: let's do this lah like, no.
- 49:13Speaker 4: We don't rehearse. We don't. We don't rehearse any script.
- 49:17Speaker 4: Now we are starting to work on we did uh.
- 49:21Speaker 4: I don't know. If you see the video with me
- 49:22Speaker 4: with the glasses on top.
- 49:23Speaker 2: Of my head, yes, I just so.
- 49:25Speaker 4: We so we are working on a mockumentary type style series,
- 49:31Speaker 4: and even though we still use a lot of improvisation,
- 49:34Speaker 4: there's a little bit more that goes into it than
- 49:38Speaker 4: when I just like when we just come up with
- 49:40Speaker 4: something off the off.
- 49:41Speaker 2: The off, the cuve. I love it.
- 49:43Speaker 5: I just love seeing you can tell it's like not fake,
- 49:48Speaker 5: like you go back home and he really don't like you,
- 49:51Speaker 5: but he's just doing it just like being the camera,
- 49:53Speaker 5: like it seems like he genuinely likes to be around you.
- 49:57Speaker 2: Genuinely. They seem like all your kids you got, you
- 49:59Speaker 2: got to going in.
- 50:00Speaker 5: Here like it's it's just a beautiful thing because honest
- 50:03Speaker 5: to god, I didn't have that relationship with my mom. Yeah,
- 50:07Speaker 5: and that's something that I like when I see mothers
- 50:11Speaker 5: able to do that. And I love my mom and that,
- 50:12Speaker 5: like we have a great relationship now, but growing up,
- 50:15Speaker 5: there was no there was no connection. That's probably why
- 50:19Speaker 5: I'm having a therapeutic moment right now. That's probably why
- 50:21Speaker 5: I like those videos so much, because you're you're there's
- 50:24Speaker 5: a bond that's being created.
- 50:26Speaker 4: Yeah, that's your heart posture.
- 50:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:27Speaker 4: Well, because I can see that in the comments all
- 50:29Speaker 4: the time. Either it's either oh you remind me and
- 50:32Speaker 4: my mom. A lot of times people will say their
- 50:34Speaker 4: moms have passed on and it's like, oh, this just
- 50:37Speaker 4: brings up some nostalgia with my mom, or others saying, oh,
- 50:40Speaker 4: I wish I had a mom like you. I wish
- 50:42Speaker 4: I had a relationship like that with my mom. Or
- 50:45Speaker 4: like sometimes like people honestly think that Adison don't get
- 50:48Speaker 4: in trouble, but Addison dies, Addison still gets treated like
- 50:51Speaker 4: he well he grown now, yeah before that, he he
- 50:54Speaker 4: still gets treated like he's a child, like you know,
- 50:58Speaker 4: so he still get disciplined. Uh, he's still getting you know,
- 51:02Speaker 4: he still had curfew, even though he still tests me
- 51:06Speaker 4: like any other teenager would try to test their mom.
- 51:09Speaker 4: But other than that, the dynamic is is pretty good.
- 51:15Speaker 4: I was like.
- 51:18Speaker 2: The and I saw that.
- 51:20Speaker 5: I just saw that bottle that you was put you
- 51:22Speaker 5: put on the TikTok about the acid reflux.
- 51:25Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I have to try because.
- 51:27Speaker 4: That time is good. It's good.
- 51:28Speaker 2: It's getting older.
- 51:29Speaker 4: Like my grandson said, it's good for your stunach and
- 51:35Speaker 4: you know he said that on his own. You know,
- 51:36Speaker 4: he said that on his own.
- 51:37Speaker 5: And that's and you It's like, you have the perfect
- 51:41Speaker 5: Like we just need to put these cameras in your house.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Yeah, just go around and uh recording what you do?
- 51:46Speaker 2: What you do?
- 51:47Speaker 4: What?
- 51:47Speaker 2: What is it called the reality TV show?
- 51:49Speaker 5: You?
- 51:49Speaker 4: I would not do. I've been approached about a reality show.
- 51:54Speaker 5: Uh.
- 51:54Speaker 4: And I remember my daughter. They were the ones saying, mom, like,
- 51:58Speaker 4: you will not be able to control the narrative on
- 52:00Speaker 4: that show. That is not even you like, And I
- 52:04Speaker 4: was like, yeah, I don't want you know, because a
- 52:06Speaker 4: lot of times people do reality shows and it tears
- 52:09Speaker 4: them apart. You show people they end up in divorce,
- 52:12Speaker 4: and I'm like, no, if I were to do something
- 52:15Speaker 4: like we're doing now a documentary style, it would be
- 52:19Speaker 4: I would control the narrative. I would control the narrative.
- 52:22Speaker 4: I would I would be able to show what I
- 52:24Speaker 4: want to show and not allow somebody to edit it
- 52:27Speaker 4: and make it look like it's something.
- 52:29Speaker 2: That you want to do.
- 52:30Speaker 5: Yeah, I totally agree with you, Like, yeah, they be
- 52:34Speaker 5: wilding out here.
- 52:35Speaker 2: So I know you just I know you just hit this.
- 52:38Speaker 5: Big milestone on Instagram and there's a lot of things
- 52:41Speaker 5: that you want to do. So in the next five years,
- 52:43Speaker 5: I want you to give us a description of where
- 52:45Speaker 5: you see yourself.
- 52:46Speaker 4: Oh my God, acting, writing, producing my own show. We're
- 52:54Speaker 4: probably on the four times five, so we be on
- 53:00Speaker 4: like the twentieth twenty fifth season.
- 53:03Speaker 2: Okay, okay, yeah.
- 53:05Speaker 4: Twenty fifth season, and just allowing God to use me
- 53:10Speaker 4: for I'm done snatching the pin while God is writing
- 53:14Speaker 4: and I love what he's doing and I love the
- 53:16Speaker 4: chapters that he's creating, and I'm just turning the pages
- 53:21Speaker 4: as they go. You know. I used to overthink things
- 53:25Speaker 4: and say, oh, well, I need to do this and
- 53:28Speaker 4: I should do this, and then I think about it
- 53:30Speaker 4: and I'm like, everything is going well, Everything is going well,
- 53:37Speaker 4: and I'm at ease, there's no sense of urgency, there's
- 53:43Speaker 4: no pressure. I control my own atmosphere. I don't want
- 53:49Speaker 4: to put myself in a situation where it feels like
- 53:51Speaker 4: it's work and that I'm running myself down trying to
- 53:56Speaker 4: meet all these these deadlines and goal.
- 54:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:01Speaker 4: I just say my affirmation. I say, God, show me
- 54:05Speaker 4: how good it can get and allow me to serve
- 54:10Speaker 4: my purpose with favor and grace. That's that's that's, that's
- 54:18Speaker 4: what it is. I tried it my.
- 54:20Speaker 2: Way, and like literally, like you said, just.
- 54:25Speaker 4: Doing the work. He gives me, He tells me, hey,
- 54:27Speaker 4: and I do.
- 54:28Speaker 5: The work, because when we don't do it, we end
- 54:30Speaker 5: up in a whole lot of And then it was
- 54:33Speaker 5: it was interested in you. I think you said something
- 54:36Speaker 5: recently where you was like, we give the devil too
- 54:38Speaker 5: much credit?
- 54:39Speaker 4: Well, and we give it's a part of a uh
- 54:43Speaker 4: of an anthology chapter I I I was in a book.
- 54:46Speaker 4: I was in anthology I was in and my chapter
- 54:49Speaker 4: was called I gave so much credit to the enemy.
- 54:52Speaker 4: I was discredited in God and a lot of times
- 54:55Speaker 4: because we already know the enemy can't do nothing without right.
- 55:00Speaker 4: And so I remember this tumultuous time that I was
- 55:05Speaker 4: that I was going through at my job, and I
- 55:09Speaker 4: just kept I just kept blaming the enemy. I just
- 55:12Speaker 4: kept saying, the enemy is doing this, and the enemy
- 55:14Speaker 4: didn't want me to have his job, and da da,
- 55:16Speaker 4: and I was saying all these different things. And at
- 55:19Speaker 4: the end of it, it was just like big surprise,
- 55:24Speaker 4: and I, you know, I ended up getting relocated, you know,
- 55:28Speaker 4: getting everything that I had asked God for in the beginning.
- 55:32Speaker 4: But God was like, no, I'm gonna give it to you,
- 55:34Speaker 4: but I'm gonna give it to you my way, not
- 55:36Speaker 4: your way, so you're gonna have to go through X
- 55:38Speaker 4: Y Z. And at the end of it, I remember
- 55:43Speaker 4: talking to my deciding official and this incident that happened
- 55:47Speaker 4: at work, and I started crying, and he said, Ms. Carter,
- 55:51Speaker 4: why are you crying? I said, because I was given
- 55:54Speaker 4: so much credit to the enemy. I was discredited. God
- 55:57Speaker 4: all this time has been God. Every situation that I've
- 56:01Speaker 4: been in at this job was all God, and He
- 56:05Speaker 4: was preparing me. And everything that I asked for in
- 56:09Speaker 4: the beginning didn't compare to what He gave me. It
- 56:17Speaker 4: didn't compare to what He gave me. Again, what you're
- 56:20Speaker 4: asking for is little stuff. Yeah, that's little stuff. Yeah,
- 56:24Speaker 4: it's like our minds are the more and more I
- 56:28Speaker 4: listen to people that really got money but also have
- 56:30Speaker 4: a relationship with God. It's like, I really think about
- 56:35Speaker 4: how small, how small my thoughts are. Like what the
- 56:40Speaker 4: word says is for your ways are not my ways
- 56:42Speaker 4: and your thoughts are not my thoughts. So God, bring
- 56:45Speaker 4: me up to where you're thinking, Like we have to
- 56:48Speaker 4: really like be intentional about that because I love your
- 56:50Speaker 4: affirmation because it just reminds me personally and hopefully the
- 56:54Speaker 4: views can relate to this. It reminds me personally that
- 56:58Speaker 4: even the big thoughts I can think, God still out
- 57:00Speaker 4: thinks those.
- 57:01Speaker 5: Yeah, Like even the things that I think I can
- 57:04Speaker 5: do well in or control. But I won't say manipulate,
- 57:08Speaker 5: but that's probably the best word I can think about
- 57:10Speaker 5: right now.
- 57:11Speaker 2: He can still do more.
- 57:13Speaker 5: Like he's still gonna He's still gonna do what he
- 57:16Speaker 5: wants to do in my life. And when it's submitted
- 57:18Speaker 5: to him and we say God, I submit to you.
- 57:20Speaker 2: Got to give you my years. God, this is We're
- 57:24Speaker 2: in a campaign right now, Yes three sixty five.
- 57:26Speaker 5: We say yes to God every day of the year
- 57:29Speaker 5: because we want to obey God and want to see
- 57:31Speaker 5: God move like literally, we have to be submissive. And
- 57:35Speaker 5: that's what I that's what I get from you. Like
- 57:37Speaker 5: you really say, you know what, God, you ain't.
- 57:39Speaker 2: Gotta fight me, right.
- 57:42Speaker 5: You?
- 57:42Speaker 4: Mike Tyson?
- 57:43Speaker 3: Me, I.
- 57:45Speaker 2: I'm a souljah.
- 57:49Speaker 4: Lord, I think I got me.
- 57:52Speaker 5: Listen, it's a it's a real that I saw and saying,
- 57:56Speaker 5: let me see if I'm on the mighty warrior.
- 57:59Speaker 2: Listen, like please say take me out there, please you
- 58:04Speaker 2: out here?
- 58:05Speaker 5: You know?
- 58:05Speaker 4: And then you say, but you think about it, because
- 58:07Speaker 4: that was the thing. At first, It was like why me?
- 58:09Speaker 4: Why me? And then I started saying why not me?
- 58:14Speaker 4: Why not me? He did, he did. He did pick
- 58:19Speaker 4: the strongest. He did pick the strongest. And he gives
- 58:26Speaker 4: you more, you know. You know old church church church
- 58:29Speaker 4: folks will say, God don't give you more than you can't.
- 58:32Speaker 4: God won't give you more than you can handle. Yeah,
- 58:34Speaker 4: I believe. I don't. I don't believe that at all.
- 58:36Speaker 4: I believe he gives you more than you can handle.
- 58:38Speaker 4: Because if he didn't give you more than you can handle,
- 58:41Speaker 4: there would be no reason to call on him, there
- 58:42Speaker 4: would be no reason to surrender. Now big fis there
- 58:45Speaker 4: would be no if if I could God, I would
- 58:48Speaker 4: be if I can handle it on myself.
- 58:52Speaker 2: You're right about that.
- 58:53Speaker 4: So I tried it and it did work.
- 59:00Speaker 2: Falled.
- 59:04Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, listen, yeah, she I feel like we
- 59:10Speaker 5: could we could go around the table like you know,
- 59:13Speaker 5: what's that movie Soul Food and the place be on.
- 59:17Speaker 5: We could just do the place shift and she'll be
- 59:19Speaker 5: talking and giving us a whole bunch of wisdom.
- 59:21Speaker 2: We'll be laughing, we'll.
- 59:22Speaker 5: Be crying because she she almost got me caught up
- 59:25Speaker 5: a few times.
- 59:26Speaker 2: What's your thoughts over there, Sees. I think it's a beautiful.
- 59:29Speaker 5: I'm just you know, I love sitting here listening and
- 59:31Speaker 5: just reflecting and all the things. But I think it's
- 59:33Speaker 5: just a beautiful Your story is a beautiful picture of
- 59:36Speaker 5: God's grace and his redemptive power. Right, So it's kind
- 59:41Speaker 5: of similar, like I have a similar similar story where
- 59:44Speaker 5: like it's like God allowed you to think that she
- 59:46Speaker 5: was in control of your life and do all the things,
- 59:48Speaker 5: like Lord, I'm doing all these things. But until the
- 59:51Speaker 5: moment came, I too found myself on a hospital bed
- 59:55Speaker 5: near death, right, And so it was in that moment
- 59:58Speaker 5: I was like, you know, and this is the crazy thing.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: It wasn't even the thought of dang, I'm about to die.
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: I could die right now, like literally, I was like
- 1:00:06Speaker 5: literally internal bleeding, like had to get like eight unitsbu
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: you know, platelets, all these things. And it wasn't even
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: like dang, lode I could die. It was I don't
- 1:00:15Speaker 5: even think I've done anything, Like I didn't even touch
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: the crass the surface of what I believe that you've
- 1:00:21Speaker 5: put me on this earth to do. So in that moment,
- 1:00:24Speaker 5: I was like, I don't know what that is, but
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: I'm gonna give you my yes. And this was only
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: this was February twenty twenty one, right, so as a
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: I was doing here full time of licensed cosmetologists, So
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: in my mind that's what I did. Now apparently I'm
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: producing podcasts, you know what I'm saying. So it was
- 1:00:42Speaker 5: almost kind of like he just used that moment to
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: really help me to realign to what he really has,
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: you know, and on this earth for to do. And
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: that's kind of like similar it's like, hey, yeah, you know,
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: you got a good gunment job, but I got so
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: much more. Like there's so many people, so many more
- 1:00:59Speaker 5: people that I have that need what you have that
- 1:01:02Speaker 5: I put on the inside of you, and so you're yes,
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: just allows you to begin to flow in His blessings
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: and his graces.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: And I'm just like, Lord, this is beautiful.
- 1:01:09Speaker 5: So I'm just sitting back and I'm just listening, and
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: I can see like parts of me and Jess's story
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: in there. And I do believe like the listeners, the
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: listeners will be able to see themselves too. And then
- 1:01:19Speaker 5: just understand that God can only The truth of the
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: matter is he can really only do as much as
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: we allow him to do.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: So he's waiting on us to say yes, a fool
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: surrender render, a full surrendered yes.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: So I'm grateful.
- 1:01:36Speaker 5: But you're coming on in this thing and blessing us today.
- 1:01:39Speaker 5: You just you just suk you just what was what
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: was that?
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: What was that? Oh? I'm asking I.
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: Used to do hair too. Oh, come on first, cousin.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: I don't want to almost I don't know if I
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: want experience, it's experience, man, Listen. I learned from y'all
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: I would learn. But what was that? That was your
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: connection with her?
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: Okay, I was about to say no because folks, she's
- 1:02:12Speaker 5: speaking tongue.
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: Y'all, y'all know what I say about fo this speaking tongue.
- 1:02:15Speaker 5: I'll yield the flow real quick, she said, She says,
- 1:02:19Speaker 5: he I will yield it. Listen, this has been refreshing.
- 1:02:25Speaker 5: It's been refreshing. You feel like family, like you just
- 1:02:30Speaker 5: feel like family.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: Are fat.
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: All my brothers, sisters and me cousins, cousins, first cousin, second, third, removed.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: You know how we beat, you know how we beat.
- 1:02:46Speaker 5: But no, I really, I really, I really love your
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: story and I can't wait to just see what God
- 1:02:53Speaker 5: exposes to you, like just continues to surprise, like use
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: you as the evidence that he is love, that he
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: is everything that he says that he is. So I
- 1:03:03Speaker 5: know he's talked talked about a lot of things, from
- 1:03:06Speaker 5: women's hell, to bridging a generational gap to just you know,
- 1:03:12Speaker 5: overcoming fear getting your name right. I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 1:03:18Speaker 5: let it go, like in a few minutes. I'm still
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: mad at myself by that. I know you not the
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: Lord then already dealt with me while he was having
- 1:03:26Speaker 5: this conversation. But within all of that, if they didn't
- 1:03:31Speaker 5: hear anything, what is the one thing you want to
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: leave with the viewers today.
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: I'm gonna go back to what I said, stop snatching
- 1:03:47Speaker 4: the pin. While God is writing, trust trust the story
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: that he's writing for you. Trust it. You know a
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: lot of times we we don't see the destination, so
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: we we don't want to drive the car, but understand
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: that there would be detours, it will get bumpy. And
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: make sure on the way you don't never let the
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: enemy in because if you let the enemy in on
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: the door and you let him in on the passenger side,
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: it won't be long before he's trying to drive. Okay,
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: So I just say trust trust what God is doing
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: in your life. There is a there is a breakthrough
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: at the end of that storm. I know it.
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: You are evidence evidence evidence Okay that Naomi so name
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: only rain song just came.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: That's that's the word that passed He gave us for
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: this year. Is you are the evidence?
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: Literally, yeah, Oh I snatched.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: It because you are. You are hotly the evidence doctor
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: shuned to collect.
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: You said it right.
- 1:05:07Speaker 5: I said it right because I practiced it like forty times.
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: With your head. You know that you were sitting here
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: right you was talking. That's how you kind of you
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: was like, no, I praied this boy.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: This the gag.
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: You know that it was a picture where you had
- 1:05:20Speaker 5: your shirt on and you had it's uh, it breaks
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: it down.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: What did you call it? When the word is broken down?
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: The definition the definition, but it breaks your name down
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: the phonetically. I wanted to say that word, but I
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: didn't want to be ignorant in front of the doctor.
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: I lack a local.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: Two F three's. I looked at it.
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: I look, I studied that shirt under you shirt, and
- 1:05:54Speaker 5: I promise you.
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: I was like, Okay, you did good. I've heard a
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: lot worse. Like normally, I don't I don't even correct people.
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: I kind of sometimes just let them go with the flow.
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: Nine is my friend, and I'm not I'm gonna call
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: oufter be like girl, mama and now you're.
- 1:06:19Speaker 4: My Mama's so nice.
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: She's not even gonna be mad.
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: Girl.
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: Don't worry.
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: I know, but no, I really believe that the Lord
- 1:06:28Speaker 5: is allowed that to happen for multiple reasons. But another
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: reason is even if those things happen, we gotta move
- 1:06:35Speaker 5: forward and be the evidence.
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: Evidence. We gotta be the evidence.
- 1:06:40Speaker 5: So you guys, we thank you so much for tuning
