- 0:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Hi everyone, it's Justin here, Voices for Voices.
- 0:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Thank you very much for watching, listening here in the United States or across the world.
- 0:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're very grateful to have you with us and grateful to hit a pretty big milestone here with our uh Voices for Voices podcast and TV show uh this month, so August of 2026 is the uh as the current dates from when uh the show started.
- 0:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We are uh having the second greatest month of downloads and views on our podcast and TV show.
- 0:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So it's you know, just when you couldn't think it could continue to rise.
- 1:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh it it is, and we have nobody but you to thank for that.
- 1:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, because again, as I mentioned a lot, I try to mention all the time, but I don't always get around to it.
- 1:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh yeah, we don't have a show, we don't have an organization if it's not for you.
- 1:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh if you could give us a big thumbs up, like, follow, subscribe, share, reshare, repost.
- 1:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, and if you're not on your phone, pull it out.
- 1:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And if you're on your phone, maybe if you can reach out to 25, 50, maybe 100 contacts in your phone, share the voices for voices, podcasts, and TV show with them.
- 1:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: They can get the voices for voices show anywhere that they get their podcast, just like you're able to get our show and podcast anywhere you get your podcast.
- 2:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, even if it changes, we're everywhere.
- 2:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So thank you.
- 2:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh yeah, looking looking at the analytics, you know, that's that's one way to look at look at things, but it's not it's not always the best.
- 2:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh what it can do is it can inflate somebody's head.
- 2:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Go, oh wow, look at what we're doing.
- 2:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And yes, we're we feel like we're doing good work.
- 2:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're not perfect, nobody is.
- 2:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um, but as far as what the numbers reflect, that that's not really for me to say anything other than that's what the numbers say.
- 3:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um doesn't mean that it's millions and millions, which I know uh some individuals, organizations believe that we have this huge network and we have you know millions and millions and millions of followers, uh, which we don't, and even if we did, it still doesn't change who we are.
- 3:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yes, we do want to reach and help three billion people over the course of my lifetime and beyond, but really it's uh you know, we look at numbers, they tell us a snapshot in time.
- 3:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So they tell us for August of 2026, here's where we're at.
- 4:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We still got a day or so to go.
- 4:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, I look at numbers for our show specifically.
- 4:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I look at I look at the these numbers much the same way a uh teacher, professor, student looks at a grade on a particular assignment.
- 4:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Maybe maybe a student did poorly on an assignment.
- 4:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Does that reflect who that person is?
- 4:42Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: No.
- 4:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's a point in time, and that's that's what it is.
- 4:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's a point in time.
- 4:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh a student does very well, that's great.
- 5:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We want more of that, but it's it's still just a point in time.
- 5:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's only when there's that continuous flow of again, I'll use the school analogy, you know, it's only when there's a pattern of low grades, bad grades, not great grades.
- 5:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And on the other side, it's when a lot of good grades start stacking up on each other, and that pattern is mostly positive, then that's the grade that's reflected at the end of a nine weeks or end of a quarter, end of a semester, what however you want to break break it down by a period of time.
- 6:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But again, yes, that grade was a pattern over a period of time.
- 6:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So let's say a student gets a D, right?
- 6:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: A, B, C, D, F.
- 6:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We want A's, we want less F's.
- 6:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so let's say I'll just use myself as an example.
- 6:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's say I get a D in a certain class.
- 6:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So over the course of the entire class period, whether that's nine weeks, whether that's a semester, whether that's a quarter, even if that pattern is good or bad, it's still a snapshot in time.
- 7:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because if you take that individual or take myself and go through the same course, same class at a point in the future, there's a chance that there could be a movement either way of the pattern and you know how many points were earned out of the total points available, which would give us the said grade.
- 8:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: A A, B, C, D, F.
- 8:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so I just bring this up for perspective because I'm I'm I'm working really hard to be present in the moment.
- 8:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Good, bad, and different.
- 8:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I've been at the I've been at the places where I get too big of a head.
- 8:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: People say, oh, you're an airhead.
- 8:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Okay.
- 8:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That that's not where really was it where I was going, but you know, too big of a head, too big of an ego.
- 9:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I've been there so much.
- 9:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So much, so much of my life I've been there.
- 9:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so I'm trying, not trying, I'm working, I'm doing the best that I can.
- 9:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So again, just be present in the moment, and so when I see certain analytics, I see certain analytics that are just putrid, they're just not great.
- 9:42Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then I see analytics, like I mentioned, that are fantastic, and so whether it's Hollywood, whether it's entertainment, I mean, an entertainer, traveling on you know, uh a world tour, a movie, anything working at a company, those are snapshots in a point in time.
- 10:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so if I and us as voices for voices, if we get that big head and go, oh wow, look at this, you know, do we want things to go well?
- 10:47Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yes, we do.
- 10:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So do you so do just about anybody I meet.
- 10:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We wanna wanna do well.
- 11:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And if we're parents, you know, we want to talk about our children, be like, yeah, my child, my children did this, they did that, and and so we had one of those days today where our child played her sport.
- 11:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And it was just again, just to be present in the moment just to watch, to be a listener.
- 11:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But I was I I I wasn't the person that was speaking like this.
- 11:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: A child was with her team.
- 12:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And it was just so fun to watch them have a good time.
- 12:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Not no nobody talking about politics, and it was just kids being kids.
- 12:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so it's e it's easier to be lazy and to not be present and make everything about politics or about this topic or that topic.
- 12:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I've gotten to be a little better observer than I I've been in the past.
- 12:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yes, I still speak, yes, I still share, yes, we still have our show or podcast.
- 12:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Pass it pass it down the line.
- 13:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Keep that legacy of the show in the podcast.
- 13:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Voices for voices, keep it going.
- 13:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so by being present at that event earlier, it really helped me reflect when I saw these analytics.
- 13:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Oh wow.
- 13:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Look at us.
- 13:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like it's easy to do that, right?
- 14:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Cause a lot of us are competitive.
- 14:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But I I learned at an earlier age in the weight room, and there's this gentleman who he tended to be there when I was there, and so he was spotting me, making sure I didn't drop the weight on myself and helped keep me safe.
- 14:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: His name was Taco.
- 14:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It was I I I I can't forget a name like that.
- 14:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And Taco told me about getting a big head.
- 14:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: About how just as soon, and we're talking, and this is the weight room, okay?
- 14:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So how much we can lift, how much weight we can lift for certain exercises, bench press, squat, curls, whatever you want to call it.
- 15:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That the moment we get that big head, somebody else comes along, and they lift five more pounds or one more pound than what we did.
- 15:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I wish I would have taken his advice for more things, not just the weight room.
- 15:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because it's so true in life.
- 15:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So for the weight room, yeah.
- 15:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yeah, I lifted this mud.
- 15:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so if we make it about are we are we being safe, we're not dropping heavy weights on ourselves, we're we're not trying to lift too much, or whatever it may be.
- 16:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If we just keep it to like, how am I doing?
- 16:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Am I increasing the weight I'm lifting if that's my goal?
- 16:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Am I not?
- 16:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Instead of going, oh, I can lift this.
- 16:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, like I said, like Taco told me.
- 16:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You know, the the one once you get a big head like that, it's almost that divine providence or somebody else comes and they lift again a pound, five pound, ten, whatever the amount is, more than what we we did.
- 17:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then it automatically takes the head and shrinks it like oh okay, so I'm not the strongest person in the world, and I it sounds a little silly for me to say this, uh yeah, to think that I I I would be the strongest person in the world.
- 17:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's nowhere near even at the peak of my lifting and that over over the years.
- 17:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I've lifted a lot of weight at times, but it was.
- 18:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But we could be sick, we could be injured.
- 18:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There can be things that are maybe a certain uh weightlifting machine is not available, and we're doing that particular body part, so then we have to change.
- 18:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Then it's like, oh, now I my plan of what I was gonna do at the gym shifted, so I gotta shift with it.
- 18:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So to bring all that back from the gym to you know the numbers that you are seeing, they're good.
- 18:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's a point in time, there are others that are crushing it, have much higher numbers, much many more subscribers, many more followers, have sponsors, have all these things, and here's me going, oh whoa, we've had our second greatest month of views and downloads.
- 19:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You hear somebody say that, you expect them to go say that there's again, like there just millions or hundreds of thousands, and it's not even that, that's the thing.
- 19:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: People think that they go, Oh, yeah, you just you just talked about you know, they said, you know, their second highest month, so it's gotta be in the millions now, or it's gotta be this, or it's gotta be that.
- 19:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's not if we had one view, one download, and then the next month we had two, that would be doubling.
- 20:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So somebody's like, wow, they doubled in size from how many people watch and listen.
- 20:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So it's very, it's very important for us, myself included, not to get ahead of ourselves.
- 20:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's not about, oh, um we we reached, you know, we doubled our downloads and views this month.
- 20:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Again, could have started at one and been like, yeah, we now we have two.
- 20:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then if we had two more, then now we have four.
- 20:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Now we have four more, then we have eight.
- 20:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we have to be careful when we're when we're looking at these analytics, and even when we talk about them, like I'm doing right now, whether you're watching or listening, no matter where you're at, we thank you for tuning in.
- 21:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So many countries across the world were just uh we're just so grateful to have you with us.
- 21:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh so if you're watching and and listening to whether it's you know our podcast or another, you gotta think like think about that.
- 21:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If they say we doubled in size, and again, it's like we we had 10 10 views and downloads this month, and then next month we had 10.
- 21:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Right?
- 21:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You're still going in the same, you're go you're going in the you and I are going in the positive direction.
- 21:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're going in the direction we want to go.
- 21:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But it doesn't mean that oh, they they must be just so many people must be watching, so many people must be listening.
- 22:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And even if that is the case, I gotta stay grounded.
- 22:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I have to be I have to be present in the moment.
- 22:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Life's not about me.
- 22:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's about how I can help others.
- 22:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I'm just I'm just a person.
- 22:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm just one human being.
- 22:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We have eight billion plus human beings in the world spanning across all aid all age groups.
- 22:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's why I wanted to wrap up with that because it's good that we we talk about celebrating the wins.
- 22:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like, yeah, it we want to celebrate.
- 22:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like I don't I don't drink alcohol, so I don't know.
- 22:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Maybe I'll have a maybe I'll have a soda.
- 23:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I don't know, maybe I'll have a Gatorade.
- 23:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like that's for me, that'd be like you know, the celebration that we'd be doing.
- 23:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But it's also keeping us grounded, us present in the moment, and not to think that you know we're the best thing since sliced bread.
- 23:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We didn't we didn't invent the podcast, we didn't invent the TV show, we didn't invent all these topics.
- 23:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: A lot of them are repetitive.
- 23:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You know, we talk to our guests, we want we're we want to hear from them.
- 23:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You hear from me on enough, right?
- 23:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like watching and listening.
- 23:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You're watching listen to me a majority of the time.
- 24:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's because we have such high standards now with with our guests that we're we don't we are sending our love and our support to every single person in the world, but that doesn't mean that every single person that we come across has what we're looking for.
- 24:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's like for example, somebody who wrote a book and is looking to get publicity.
- 24:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So what I've learned is the person that wants to come on your show or my show, and they reach out, they're coming because of our audience, our viewers, our listeners.
- 25:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because they're tapping into like a new market, I guess you can call it.
- 25:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: They're not coming on to bring their followers in their I mean that's not the case.
- 25:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Doesn't mean they might not put a social media post out, but they're not you know actively advertising for us.
- 25:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We don't have anybody who does that.
- 25:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You know what we have to do that?
- 25:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I have I have to do that, and we have somebody at the front door, and so so Lucy is barking like so loud, so loud.
- 26:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh but we'll leave it at it, we'll leave it at that on on the high pitch, the high pitched bark.
- 26:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So thank you for joining us.
- 26:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's celebrate all the voices in the world, and let's be a voice for not only ourselves, but somebody else in need.
- 26:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And thank you so much for a record setting August 2026.
- 26:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We'll talk to you.
- 26:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We'll see you later.
- 26:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Bye bye for now.
