Speaker 1: which are actually false followers. They have a lot of followers,

Speaker 1: and that grees me, and I'm sure it agrees the

Speaker 1: heart of the Lord as well, because they're going into

Speaker 1: a direction that's not really true, that's not authentic, that's

Speaker 1: not really Christ's like, but their appearance is there. So therefore,

Speaker 1: since the appearance is there and it's appealing and attracting

Speaker 1: people's flesh, they have a lot of followers, tremendous amount followers.

Speaker 1: Actually know some people who only invite people to their

Speaker 1: church events based on their followers on Instagram and on

Speaker 1: social media. How dangerous is that, right, because gimmicks are

Speaker 1: out there, and people who study psychology know how to

Speaker 1: manipulate and know how to get followers and know how

Speaker 1: to get likes and responses due to the behavior patterns

Speaker 1: of people. Or you could just be pressing those those

Speaker 1: pain points they call it in marketing, right, just present

Speaker 1: the pain points and then tell people that you have

Speaker 1: the solution. And we know the solution to our problems.

Speaker 1: We know our solution to our sins. We know the

Speaker 1: solution to our pain is the Lord Jesus Christ. Even

Speaker 1: that a man, we're going to experience things that we're

Speaker 1: going to know who's true or who's false. We're going

Speaker 1: to know for sure through our own experience with the Lord,

Speaker 1: I can hear social media. Social media is dangerous. Social

Speaker 1: the grain on social media, forget it, you're the target.

Speaker 1: But let's take this into prayer and allow God to

Speaker 1: speak to our hearts, allow God to speak to our minds. Amen.

Speaker 1: continue to transform us into the image of His son.

Speaker 1: You know that God is moving according to his will

Speaker 1: and purpose for the community, for his sake, for the

Speaker 1: Gospel's sake. Jesus said, I wish none would perish, but

Speaker 1: everyone have eternal life. So the grace of God is

Speaker 1: allowing us to repent, allowing people who have not repented

Speaker 1: yet to repent a man. That's the mercy, that's the grace,

Speaker 1: the patience of God, all of it. A lot of

Speaker 1: people might be thinking, why does God allow X y

Speaker 1: Z to happen? If God is a good God, why

Speaker 1: does he allow so much evil in the world. Well,

Speaker 1: I like to flip that question. Why does He allow

Speaker 1: evil in us? Amen? And keep us alive? It's the

Speaker 1: great God is an amazing grace, And sometimes I struggle

Speaker 1: with it too. I'm like God, like, those people are

Speaker 1: mocking you. They're torturing people, they're doing evil things to children,

Speaker 1: they're trafficking people. You know, are you going to do

Speaker 1: anything about it? You know, sometimes I think that way,

Speaker 1: but then I have to realize and I already know

Speaker 1: that God is a god of grace, and that's the

Speaker 1: amazing grace that we see. Even though it might seem

Speaker 1: like he's not doing anything that's not working, He's not

Speaker 1: working things for good, for the good for those who

Speaker 1: love him. He is, Amen. It's just that we can't

Speaker 1: see as far as the Lord sees, God sees the

Speaker 1: beginning from the end, or we see things on a

Speaker 1: day to day. We only know about our past. We

Speaker 1: don't know too much about our future. Amen. But we

Speaker 1: know what we have right now. We have the gift

Speaker 1: of God's grace, and that's what I settled in my heart.

Speaker 1: And I know that sometimes challenge challenge that grace because

Speaker 1: I'm like, but look at all of what's happening out here,

Speaker 1: all that was happening inside my own heart, and yet

Speaker 1: God allowed me to live another day as well. So

Speaker 1: amazing that we just don't get a grasp of it.

Speaker 1: I don't get a grasp of it sometimes a man,

Speaker 1: when I see things happening all over the world. So

Speaker 1: let's go for it. Let's see what the Lord has

Speaker 1: for us today. Amen, false followers. And then I just

Speaker 1: picked a pick of somebody social media influencer. Amen. Probably

Speaker 1: this person is not what I figured. You know, the

Speaker 1: way this person looks. It's like seducing and all that,

Speaker 1: because it attracts people. A man, it attracts people to

Speaker 1: their platforms, and a lot of them are using the

Speaker 1: name of Jesus and the name of Jesus Christ the

Speaker 1: Church of Christ. Amen, to lure people into their platforms,

Speaker 1: and they're not even real followers. It's dangerous on these platforms.

Speaker 1: Let's be aware of that. First John, chapter two, verse

Speaker 1: number nineteen, the Bible says they went out from us,

Speaker 1: seeming at first to be Christians, to see that, but

Speaker 1: they were not really of us, because they were not

Speaker 1: truly born again and spiritually transformed. For if there had

Speaker 1: been of us, they would have remained with us. But

Speaker 1: they went out teaching false doctrine, so that it would

Speaker 1: be clearly shown that none of them are of us. Now,

Speaker 1: if I heard this scripture being used in churches. I've

Speaker 1: heard this being preached on TV from some popular preachers

Speaker 1: that say that they're using the scripture to say that

Speaker 1: when people leave their church, they were not really one

Speaker 1: of us, and that's a shame. That's not what this

Speaker 1: scripture is talking about. The scripture is not talking about

Speaker 1: and this person left my church, so therefore they're not

Speaker 1: really true followers. They're not one of us, know when

Speaker 1: God said they went out from us when he inspired

Speaker 1: John to write this, seeming at first to be Christians,

Speaker 1: but they were not really of us because why they

Speaker 1: were not truly born again and spiritually transformed. And we

Speaker 1: could see that. You know, the evidence the fruit will

Speaker 1: of messing up everything up. That's why I stay hidden

Speaker 1: God because if I stay outside of the Word of

Speaker 1: God for too long, Amen, I could cause harm to

Speaker 1: see a lot of people with a lot of followers. Amen,

Speaker 1: and sometimes it's time for you to step in those

Speaker 1: platforms and just warn people a man and been like, listen,

Speaker 1: I don't think this is the true doctrine of the

Speaker 1: Lord Jesus Christ. I don't think that this is lining

Speaker 1: up with the scripture. So we warn people in love

Speaker 1: and in kindness. And if the leader of the pack,

Speaker 1: or the influencer, or the online expert or the online

Speaker 1: preacher or somebody that does what I do, is preaching

Speaker 1: a false gospel. It's okay for somebody to push back

Speaker 1: on that as Actually that shows love is when you

Speaker 1: present the truth to somebody, you're actually presenting the fact

Speaker 1: that you love somebody. Amen. And it's not a truth.

Speaker 1: what's the difference between a false follower and somebody who

Speaker 1: God is in the midst of transforming and men, I

Speaker 1: believe the difference is this, when you see somebody being

Speaker 1: transformed and you know the person personally, you actually know

Speaker 1: that there's someone working in their life. And sometimes like

Speaker 1: a person who doesn't believe in God, who would see

Speaker 1: a transformed person that believes in Christ. Now they look

Speaker 1: at that really like they're curious about how did that happen? Amen?

Speaker 1: And they know that they're in the beginning stages. When

Speaker 1: I was in the beginning stages, forget you could you couldn't.

Speaker 1: You couldn't probably tell that I was born again yet

Speaker 1: because I was really arrogant. Now I knew the truth,

Speaker 1: I wanted everybody to follow Jesus no matter what. A man.

Speaker 1: I had the truth, but no love in there. So

Speaker 1: I was just growing. I was in the beginning stages

Speaker 1: of my faith. But it wasn't that I was a

Speaker 1: false follower. It's just that I was a believer of

Speaker 1: new believer, full of zeal and wanting to help others

Speaker 1: find this truth that the Lord revealed to me. Amen.

Speaker 1: So I think the difference between false followers and somebody

Speaker 1: who God is in the midst of transforming is that

Speaker 1: a false follower says they're already following Christ. That's number one.

Speaker 1: They said they're already believing, they're already born again. And

Speaker 1: the catchphrase they uses that God told them to tell

Speaker 1: you X y Z. But a new believer, Amen, that's

Speaker 1: being transformed is evident to the people who really know

Speaker 1: that person that they are being transformed. Amen. Amen. What

Speaker 1: could ask questions, hey, how long you've been saved, how

Speaker 1: long you've been serving the Lord? And if they say, oh,

Speaker 1: two weeks, and then you look at their Instagram. They

Speaker 1: got two million followers and they're preaching the gospel. That's

Speaker 1: a little dangerous because the Bible says that we shouldn't

Speaker 1: put a novice in ministry. In other words, if I

Speaker 1: was running into ministry as soon as I got saved,

Speaker 1: like two weeks after I'm saving, I'm running a ministry.

Speaker 1: There's going to be a lot of follow ups. Amen.

Speaker 1: There's gonna be a lot of mishaps and mistakes. But

Speaker 1: it's okay. That's what the grace of God is all about.

Speaker 1: That's why we need to be in communities that follow

Speaker 1: the lead of the Holy Spirit, that believe in Jesus crucified,

Speaker 1: we would know them by their fruits. Amen. So this

Speaker 1: just says, now, how do you tell the difference between

Speaker 1: a Holy Spirit and your emotions towards that person. Amen.

Speaker 1: That's a good question. The Holy Spirit is the lead.

Speaker 1: So if you're being led by your flesh, you'll get

Speaker 1: the results of the flesh. If being led by the Spirit,

Speaker 1: the flesh leads to death and destruction, and the Bible

Speaker 1: says Holy Spirit leads to all truth. Right, that's how

Speaker 1: you could tell if somebody is in error, Amen, And

Speaker 1: the fruit of the error is showing up by means

Speaker 1: of followers, by means of lights, by means of emojis

Speaker 1: all over. Amen. You can discern that. Said, where's it

Speaker 1: coming from? What's the topic? There's some topics out there

Speaker 1: that I won't speak about on these platforms, but on

Speaker 1: There's certain topics that people go on YouTube and talk

Speaker 1: about testimonial things that attract a lot of views and

Speaker 1: a lot of clicks, a lot of likes, and a

Speaker 1: lot of listeners and a lot of viewers based on

Speaker 1: those topics. But that doesn't mean that they're truly being transformed.

Speaker 1: It just probably means that they're following the algorithm to

Speaker 1: get clicks and likes and followers and views. Amen, if

Speaker 1: that makes any sense. So, when I'm talking about false

Speaker 1: followers and basically talking about what they're doing on platforms

Speaker 1: like social media platforms, YouTube pages and things like that,

Speaker 1: although I might not know them, personally, but you can

Speaker 1: see the result of what they're saying and what they're

Speaker 1: saying if it's outside of the scripture. Amen, we shouldn't.

Speaker 1: We should be very very careful. Amen. Yeah. May God

Speaker 1: have mercy on them? Yes, of course, God is always merciful.

Speaker 1: And we could be praying because I'm I bump into

Speaker 1: direction because they're basing it on likes, followers, views, and clicks,

Speaker 1: So the temptation is master, just stay right here and man,

Speaker 1: this is working. And it might be something that God

Speaker 1: has not told them to do. It might be they're

Speaker 1: not praying about what they should be doing, or it

Speaker 1: just might be, you know, they're being led by the

Speaker 1: flesh not by the spirit. False followers are people who

Speaker 1: appear to follow Christ outwardly, but inwardly they have no

Speaker 1: true faith or love for God at all. They speak

Speaker 1: Christian words, they attank Christian gatherings right, and even perform

Speaker 1: religious acts, but their motives are self centered and you

Speaker 1: can see that right away. You can see if people

Speaker 1: want personal praise, or if they're praising the Lord, Amen,

Speaker 1: and they want people to praise God. You can see

Speaker 1: if they need personal praise. Like I've seen ministers in

Speaker 1: song wanting XYZ, demanding XYZ before they get to the venue. Okay,
