- 0:29Good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:31So today we are talking about the fact that it's never too
- 0:34late. So, what do I mean by that?
- 0:36Well, as we age often times, we start to believe and I'm are
- 0:41quoting as I say things about ourselves or believe things
- 0:45about what is age-appropriate, or we start to believe things
- 0:49that are just not true because someone else had that experience
- 0:54happen, you know, when I started this farm with my husband and we
- 0:58made this decision that we were coming here I had quite a few of
- 1:02my friends and clients. I might add that said to me, why
- 1:07would you want to do this at your age?
- 1:10Why would you want to go and put all that hard work on your
- 1:14plate? I got to tell you.
- 1:16The last thing that I was thinking about when we moved
- 1:19here and we're talking about starting a farm and doing the
- 1:25things that we had always dreamed about doing the last
- 1:29thing I ever thought about. About was the fact that my age
- 1:34had anything to do with it. I just, I never think of it that
- 1:37way. The last thing I think about in
- 1:41my head is age years ago. I can remember sitting at one of
- 1:46the events that I was working for Tony Robbins and a friend of
- 1:50mine was at the table with me and we were in between, everyone
- 1:55was in the room, listening to Tony work his magic and she said
- 2:00to me, You know, my eyes all of a sudden I can't see well you
- 2:04know you get to that age and I just started laughing and she
- 2:07said what, you know you get to an age and your eyes start
- 2:09working. Stop working the way they should
- 2:11and I said, you know, I don't I don't buy into that and she said
- 2:15what do you mean? I said yeah I mean okay your
- 2:18eyes might stop working. Well, you might need glasses but
- 2:21it could be because you're staring at a computer screen
- 2:24for, you know, eight hours a day and not just because you have
- 2:29eyes going bad because you're old.
- 2:30Getting older. I mean yeah, sure it could be
- 2:32that, but why do we have to make it be?
- 2:34The worst case scenario and say oh it's about aging and let
- 2:37alone accept it. And I just live by the premise
- 2:41that if I, if I am not willing to accept those conditions and I
- 2:46focus on other things that other things occur, I mean, I am in
- 2:51better shape now. Then I've ever been in my life.
- 2:55And I know that for a fact, because I can walk more, I can
- 3:00lift more. I mean, work in a farm is not
- 3:02easy, trust me, it's not easy. And being able to say, you know,
- 3:08that I can do 20 thousand steps a day every day.
- 3:12Like, it doesn't even bother me. There was a time when I was in
- 3:16my late 20s, early 30s. And I went to Amsterdam and I
- 3:21walked around and walked around and walked around.
- 3:23And I got to tell you I I know I was completely beat up for just
- 3:28the walking that I was doing and I couldn't believe how out of
- 3:32shape I was and I was supposed to be a healthy young person.
- 3:35So this whole thing about aging is the very first part of it is
- 3:41what are you accepting? I mean, what are you doing to
- 3:43yourself at this point in time? What are we doing to ourselves
- 3:46thinking that this is what we have to accept.
- 3:48It's never too late whatever you want to do you know Louise Hay
- 3:53Who was just a an amazing if you never know, have know anything
- 3:57about Louise. Hay, she was an amazing woman,
- 3:59she created a publishing company called, Hey house.
- 4:01She published her own books and she brought in all other authors
- 4:05from the spiritual side of the world and the inspirational side
- 4:10of the world. And it's a, to this day, it's an
- 4:12amazing publishing house for just, those types of things.
- 4:17Well, she didn't start that until she was in her late 50s,
- 4:21and then she turned it into Something and she lived the last
- 4:2535 years of her life in astounding different ways than
- 4:31she did, the front part of her life and she was at the point
- 4:35when she started it, whether people would have been giving up
- 4:37and she just started it off. I think we really have to
- 4:41re-examine our values of well, is it too late?
- 4:45Have I screwed up? I can't do something now.
- 4:48Well, why would I start it now? I mean, it is never too late if
- 4:52you have it in your Your heart and you're motivated to do, it's
- 4:55never too late. If you're willing to push
- 4:57yourself and say hey I want to thank differently.
- 5:00I'm starting this whole thing with balance right because I've
- 5:03never been a particularly coordinated person and it's
- 5:07always been a joke that I'm kind of clumsy.
- 5:10So now I'm starting all this. This balance the balance
- 5:13exercises. So my son gets this little board
- 5:17and it's on like this half balloon.
- 5:19I'm not even sure what it's called.
- 5:20I'm sure it has a name and I can't think of it right?
- 5:22This moment. But you balance on it and it's
- 5:24hard as hell to do it. And at first, I couldn't do it
- 5:28but I'm like, no, no, no, I'm going to do this.
- 5:30So I started balancing on it. Now I'm able to do not only
- 5:34balance on it but I can do squats on it now.
- 5:36So I am like astoundingly proud of myself.
- 5:40I will stand on one foot and I will pick the other foot up and
- 5:43I won't hold my other foot and I'll just stand there like a
- 5:46pelican for minutes at a time because it's good for your body.
- 5:51It's good for your brain to have to Balance you that way.
- 5:54And you fight it off. But there are other people who
- 5:56would say, okay, you shouldn't even be able to do that at this
- 5:59point in time. So if you have it in your heart
- 6:02and you really want to do something do it, don't go out
- 6:06passive. You know what does that line
- 6:08from the Def Leppard song you? It's better to burn out than
- 6:13fade away. I 100% 100% believe that and
- 6:18there's nothing worse than just fading away and making a
- 6:20decision that you're just going to play.
- 6:23Lee and math I'll just die without ever having put in the
- 6:28effort come on. Our life is a gift from the
- 6:31universe from God. And what you do with it is a
- 6:33gift back, play it fully push yourself, do the things that you
- 6:37want to do. No matter when.
- 6:40You think it is go out, be creative and do the things that
- 6:43you want to do with yourself because I promised you the
- 6:45rewards are huge. I hope this helps you guys and I
- 6:48hope that you don't take no from the answer for yourself because
- 6:52nothing is more important. Horton than that, piece of
- 6:55listening and saying this is what I really want to do, it
- 6:58doesn't matter where I am in my life, I can make this happen.
- 7:01All right, my friends, I will see you tomorrow and I hope you
- 7:03have a very blessed day. Goodbye.
