- 0:00SPEAKER_00: 2 Corinthians 12.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: A special blessing in Paul's life.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: There's more that I have to say about myself.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: It won't help.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: But I will talk now about visions and revelations from the Lord.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: I know a man in Christ who is taken up to the third heaven.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: This happened 14 years ago.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: I don't know if the man was in his body or out of his body, but God knows.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: And I know that this man was taken up to paradise.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: I don't know if he was in his body or away from his body, but he heard things that he is not able to explain.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: He heard things that no one is allowed to tell.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: I will boast about a man like that.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: But I will not boast about myself.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: I will boast only about my weaknesses.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: But if I wanted to say more about myself, I would not be a fool because I would be telling the truth.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: But I won't say any more because I don't want people to think of me what they see me do or hear me say.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: I must not be too proud of the wonderful things that were shown to me.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: So a painful problem was given to me.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: An angel from Satan sent to make me suffer, so that I would not think I am better than anyone else.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: I begged the Lord three times to take this problem away from me, but the Lord said, My grace is all you need.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: Only when you are weak can everything be done completely by my power.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: So I will gladly boast about my weaknesses.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: Then Christ's power can stay in me.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: Yes, I am glad to have weaknesses if they are for Christ.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: I am glad to be insulted and have hard times.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: I am glad when I am persecuted and have problems because it is when I am weak that I am really strong.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: Paul's love for the believers in Corinth.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: I've been talking like a fool, but you made me do it.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: You people are the ones who should say good things about me.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: I am worth nothing, but those super apostles are not worth any more than I am.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: When I was with you, I patiently did the things that prove I am an apostle.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: Signs, wonders, and miracles.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: So you received everything that the other churches have received.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: Only one thing was different.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: I was not a burden to you.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: Forgive me for this.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: I am now ready to visit you for the third time.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: I will not be a burden to you.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: I don't want any of the things you own.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: I only want you.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: Children should not have to save things to give to their parents.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: Parents should save to give to their children.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: So I am happy to give everything I have for you.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: I will even give myself for you.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: If I love you more, will you love me less?
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: It is clear that I was not a burden to you, but you think that I was tricky and used lies to catch you.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: Did I cheat you by using any of the men I sent you?
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: You know I didn't.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: I asked Titus to go to you and I sent our brother with him.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: Titus did not cheat you, did he?
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: No.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: You know that his actions and his attitude were the same as ours.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: Do you think we've been defending ourselves to you all this time?
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: No, we say these things in Christ and before God.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: You are our dear friends, and everything we do is to make you stronger.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: I do this because I'm afraid that when I come you will not be what I want you to be, and I am afraid that I will not be what you want me to be.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: I am afraid that I will find arguing, jealousy, anger, selfish fighting, evil talk, gossip, pride, and confusion there.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: I'm afraid that when I come to you again, my God will make me humble before you.
