Transcript
- 0:00Just been running. What it do, what it do, what it
- 0:05do? It is your boy Andrew Schultz
- 0:09AKA Mr. Goody 2 Shoes AKA the Irish Elvis.
- 0:15Who am I with? As always Joseph Huggins AKA old
- 0:20man Huggy. Talk shit or get off the pod.
- 0:23Episode 190, No title. Oh, I labeled it Grand Theft la
- 0:32Boo Boo. Oh, I didn't see that.
- 0:35That's. Why?
- 0:36I, I, I, I didn't put, I put it everywhere else.
- 0:39There's been a clusterfuck of a couple of days.
- 0:42So yeah, but I labeled it Grand Theft la Boo Boo.
- 0:46Welcome, motherfuckers. How you doing man?
- 0:53Dude, my life, I'm telling you is crazy.
- 0:59Just AC like how your boy like goes from like the like just
- 1:06riding the roller coaster life. Everybody knows who listens to
- 1:10the podcast like and I was like heartbroken for a couple of
- 1:14months or whatever and now it's like, holy shit, dude.
- 1:18Like I'm just crushing of rushing life.
- 1:25That's good, man. Well, congratulations to you.
- 1:28Thank you. It's always good when you can
- 1:33take a second. Sometimes you need low points to
- 1:36make you appreciate the highs. Everything's ebbs and flows and
- 1:40highs and lows. But you know you, like I said
- 1:42before, as you put yourself in a great position in so many other
- 1:45aspects, don't hyper fixate on this one because this one in the
- 1:50long run could potentially be holding you back from other good
- 1:52shit. So.
- 1:53Fuck, it definitely was definitely was like, well, I
- 1:56don't know if it was holding me back, but like it just like at
- 2:00the same time as good shit was happening, that shit happened
- 2:07and and and then it's just like your boys on the heater right
- 2:12now. Heater dropping hits, new job
- 2:19hanging out was like cool cool cool cool women.
- 2:27Well, that's good. Well, just leave it at that.
- 2:29We're just, we're all very happy for you.
- 2:33I'll give you a cheer right now. A cheer and a clap.
- 2:36Thank you. I appreciate that.
- 2:38Well that's good man, I'm glad to hear that everything seems to
- 2:41be going better. Positive vibes only.
- 2:44That's right, positive vibes tribe.
- 2:46We want to put out positive vibes because the world creates
- 2:49enough negative vibes for us. We don't really have to put any
- 2:51more effort into that. It will do it for you.
- 2:54That's right. I tell people that all the time.
- 2:56Life's about balance and sometimes it'll give it to you
- 2:59whether you ask for it or not. It'll be like, hey, hold on, I'm
- 3:01going to balance you the fuck out for one second.
- 3:03Well, you know, what's funny is, is, is like, that's like the
- 3:06first thing I told my sales team, because like, I'm running
- 3:10a sales and marketing team now is don't get too high.
- 3:15Don't get too low because somebody will just hang up on
- 3:18you and then you'll drop $20,000 like 10 minutes later.
- 3:23And you can't ride the fucking roller coaster because because
- 3:26you'll just die. Like you just got to just like
- 3:30things are going to happen, like where it's bad and things are
- 3:34going to happen where it's really fucking good.
- 3:37Yeah, yeah. I mean, yeah, I not just because
- 3:42of played it, but corner is a great example.
- 3:45I use that for like the teams that I'll manage and I tell them
- 3:48like, look, man, like when you are like if they played football
- 3:51or knew anything about it, I'm like, dude, you're out there,
- 3:53you get scorched for like a 60 yard bomb.
- 3:57There is a field goal, there is a kickoff and you are back the
- 4:00fuck out there covering the same dude that just scorched you.
- 4:03And if you're worried about how he beat you last time, you're
- 4:06he's going to beat you again. You just got to get the fuck
- 4:08over it. Short term memory on the
- 4:10mistakes that we make, long term memory on the lessons we learn
- 4:14from those mistakes. That's what you want to last is
- 4:17your your perspective or your perception of the situation
- 4:20should grow because of the because of that fuck up or
- 4:23because of that hang up. But at the end of the day, like
- 4:26you can't just focus on that one hang up bro, because then you're
- 4:28going to get happening. If you do, everyone will hang up
- 4:31on you. But.
- 4:32But even even but like the also the point is like, if you torch
- 4:36somebody, don't don't like just type like you got to like
- 4:41realize like you have to do it again.
- 4:45That's what I'm saying. No, I hear you man.
- 4:49I hear you. Well, I'm doing good.
- 4:51Thanks for asking. Oh, sorry.
- 4:55Obviously I have more stuff set up so I have the lights on, but
- 5:00also just kind. Of like, you're talking about
- 5:01your house, right? Yeah, well, in like my office
- 5:04space, like I have like stuff shit on the walls, my shelf.
- 5:07There's no clothes anywhere. It's been just like a process
- 5:10actually. I built your boy.
- 5:12I've been going crazy with the landscaping and I built I think
- 5:16I sent you a picture of it. Yeah.
- 5:18No, you did. Well, I know.
- 5:19I just the audience doesn't know.
- 5:21OK, well so there's this spot on the side of my house where I got
- 5:25this huge mega fence put in, but it's like Dead Space.
- 5:27Nothing grows there. I've had to like dig out and
- 5:30chop out these stumps that were hella deep in the ground like
- 5:34but I levelled it out and I put put in my own stone path like
- 5:38pavers I guess, but I did big grey ones and then it's all
- 5:41white marble that matches the white marble that I did up
- 5:44front. So it looks good like it like
- 5:47I've done. It it does, I saw the.
- 5:49Picture it does like there's time.
- 5:50I have two French drains that I built and put into it.
- 5:53So on the front of the footpath, in the back of the footpath, I
- 5:56put in some PVC piping with drainage and then that runs out
- 5:59to the yard so it won't ever flood.
- 6:02If it ever gets higher than the rocks, it drains out into the
- 6:04grass. But I mean, it looks like I
- 6:06fucking paid somebody to do it. And it's wild because I've never
- 6:10done it before and I'm really fucking winging it.
- 6:13And but I'm just like determined to do it.
- 6:16So there's times where I like forget that I did, I walked by.
- 6:18I'm like, that looks really fucking good.
- 6:20Like I send it to that you pictures or other people that
- 6:23you know. I don't really share a lot of
- 6:25the stuff that I'm doing here. I talk about it more on the pod.
- 6:27Barely even text me. Or dude, I'll be grinding.
- 6:31We both be. Grinding.
- 6:32No, I know. I.
- 6:33Know but and like I'm on my phone 99% of my day with work
- 6:37it's very fucking frustrating it's fun it's fun but I sent you
- 6:42but I sent you pictures because I was like hey like if it looked
- 6:46like shit you'd probably tell me and be like hey like this looks
- 6:48really good right like I didn't fuck this up 'cause that's like.
- 6:51No, no, no, no. It looked good.
- 6:53It looked good. Yeah.
- 6:54I thought I got late to you. Like back on like telling you
- 6:58that it looked good. Oh you're fine.
- 6:59I would do. We're both busy.
- 7:00We both like run. Large groups for work.
- 7:03And like I would say, like, you know, people are always asking
- 7:06me to do stuff for him or need something and it's all urgency
- 7:09for other people that I'm like, but I'm not working.
- 7:12No, no, no, you don't have to apologize.
- 7:13Just. Crash out, sleep well.
- 7:15You got to guilt me. No, no, no, I just, I'm just
- 7:18letting people know that like even when like it's like him and
- 7:23I are like best friends like it's, it's like your boy might
- 7:28not get a tax back unless it's urgent.
- 7:30Well, obviously, I mean, if there's some shit going down, I.
- 7:33Would Right, right, right. You're on point.
- 7:35What? I'm doing but like if it's but
- 7:37if it's just. Random random shit like.
- 7:40You're sending me some random screenshot that's like to the
- 7:43moon and back. I'm like and I'm like balls deep
- 7:47and a bunch of work stuff. Like that?
- 7:48No, I know, I know. I.
- 7:50Know I'm just, you know, I got your back.
- 7:52I got your back. I got you.
- 7:55But so that was so that's been super awesome and rewarding.
- 7:59I'm totally become that old man that like looks at his grass
- 8:02when it's about to rain. I'm like, please let it rain so
- 8:04it could water my yard. Like I've become that person.
- 8:07But I've always been really, I enjoy challenges.
- 8:11I think I've talked about it fuck for forever on this podcast
- 8:14where it's like, you should be challenging yourself and shit.
- 8:16That's not your day-to-day. That is very difficult.
- 8:19That will test your mental fortitude because most of our
- 8:22lives are comfortability at this point.
- 8:24And that's that's really what this been is.
- 8:26It's just like, dude, I mean, I showed you before and after
- 8:29pictures and it's like fucking wild, Like it's like it was a
- 8:33like I'm not even a jungle. If we should do a daytime pod
- 8:37because like my yards, just right out this window is a huge
- 8:40fucking window, but it's pitch black, but it's just like a big
- 8:43open empty space. I'm going to put stuff back
- 8:45there and do more. But I've started like close to
- 8:48the house and like I'm working my way out, but it's been the
- 8:51transformation. My real estate guy who helped me
- 8:55get the house is like fucking baffled.
- 8:58He's like, dude, this looks insane.
- 9:00I'm like, I know, right? And I was kind of cool with the
- 9:05guy that I bought it from. He was like a flipper.
- 9:08And I think if I haven't sent him any pictures, because if I
- 9:11did, I think he'd be pissed. Because because of how good it
- 9:15is. Because it looks good, because
- 9:17it already appraised more than what I paid for it.
- 9:19Because he never got an appraisal done.
- 9:21So he just like threw it on the market.
- 9:22That's what he. Said though though.
- 9:24No, there was no, no like I had to pay to get one done because
- 9:27there was not one done. Like it was like.
- 9:30That's part of the. Like like part like whenever you
- 9:32had said that, like I just didn't trust him, I was like.
- 9:36No, like, I have that. So I'd have the county come out
- 9:39and they were like, Oh yeah. But we'd already agreed to
- 9:41terms. That was part of the close.
- 9:43So we, they would have to go back and renegotiate.
- 9:46That's why whenever I wanted to get repairs done on a couple
- 9:49things, they basically were like, look, we'll do these two
- 9:52things and then that's it. Because if you wanted, if you
- 9:55want the house and you want more than those two things fixed,
- 9:58we're going to have to renegotiate the price basically
- 10:01being like this motherfucker. And I was like, I want a new
- 10:03water heater, got it. And I want a brand new water
- 10:07heater. I want them to fix the chimney.
- 10:11The chimney had some cracks in the mortar, so they redid the
- 10:13inside of that. They did that and they were
- 10:14like, that's all we're fucking doing.
- 10:16Because I, and now it and then I then I find all the thousands of
- 10:20dollars of stones buried in all this jungle weeds and stuff.
- 10:24Like I'd be pissed if it was me. I'd be fucking pissed.
- 10:28But he was cool. He was like some Rastafarian
- 10:30former reggae singer turned house flipper.
- 10:34And like I follow him on Spotify.
- 10:36He's got songs with millions of plays, so he like showed up and
- 10:40he was like a white guy, like super rosted the fuck out he
- 10:44was. Bullshit.
- 10:45He used to and on his Spotify did he cut them all off?
- 10:48He's like I, he's like, I cut him off doing this job touring.
- 10:52Let like I'm trying to like transition out of that 'cause I
- 10:54have kids, family, I'm trying to be more stateside.
- 10:56But he would do like shows in Africa and shit.
- 10:58Like he was showing me all these pictures.
- 11:00He was cool as fuck all. Right, so like your boy went to
- 11:03a so you know the band tool. Yeah.
- 11:06Oh yeah. OK so Maynard from Tool has a
- 11:09side project called Pussifier. Pussifer I should say like
- 11:14Lucifer. But Pussifer.
- 11:17Private Show just released a new album.
- 11:22Got tickets, went and watched it at Exchange LA last night.
- 11:28Fucking amazing. Crazy shit.
- 11:34And then I went to dinner, but one of the girls who were at the
- 11:41dinner is like a birthday. She had dreads.
- 11:46And then she was like deeply describing like how she gets the
- 11:53dreads. And I had no idea.
- 11:56I just thought like you just, it just happens.
- 12:01Like if you just let it happen. But she was like telling us the
- 12:07process of like how it works, you know, how she has to like
- 12:12lock them and do all this shit and.
- 12:14Oh yeah, that's funny. Crazy.
- 12:16Yeah, I had no fucking clue. I was like, I was so interested.
- 12:21I was like, wait, what? I used to work with this guy.
- 12:25He was a manager when I waited tables at Trudy's Town in Austin
- 12:31and his name was Mikey. He was cool as fuck, bro.
- 12:35I loved Mikey and he had dreads, like down to his fucking knees,
- 12:40dude. It was crazy.
- 12:42And they were so long. And when I would go hang out, we
- 12:45would, he lived kind of around the corner for me.
- 12:47So I'd go over there, chill, we'd like to smoke out whatever,
- 12:49drink some beers and he would like.
- 12:51Would he wash them? The process of him like washing
- 12:53them, drying them, it was crazy. He would have to.
- 12:57He would wash them and wring them out and then he would lay
- 12:59out in the sun and just like spread them out.
- 13:02It was like these like octopus tendrils.
- 13:04It was fucking crazy looking because he would have to sit
- 13:07there until it dried and if he didn't he'd get like mildew and
- 13:09fungus for growing. Yeah, it's it's fun.
- 13:11Crazy. It's weird because I thought,
- 13:13like it was like the whole thing of dreads was like, you just
- 13:18didn't do shit with your hair and just let it do that because
- 13:23I'm a white. I'm a white guy.
- 13:24Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
- 13:26Oh, yeah. You know, so that this guy had
- 13:28some really long dreads used to. And then we, I met because he
- 13:33was fixing something after we'd already bought the house.
- 13:36So like, that's how we crossed paths.
- 13:37And he ended up being pretty chill because he showed up with
- 13:40his construction team with all these Hispanic guys and I speak
- 13:43pretty damn good Spanish. And they were like, what the
- 13:46fuck? And he was like, what the fuck?
- 13:48And I could talk to them just as good if not better than he
- 13:51could. So when they were talking about
- 13:52where stuff was like they realized I understood them.
- 13:55It was actually kind of tight. And then he ended up hanging out
- 13:58just talking to me. No that.
- 14:00Soft flex. No, it's tight because most
- 14:04people don't. I mean, I'm in Texas and it's
- 14:07probably just ignorance and kind of like, I don't know, like
- 14:12stereotypical like social norms, but like black, black guys
- 14:16speaking Spanish is not commonplace.
- 14:20Obviously. So the IT catches them off
- 14:23guard. So there's time for oh, like if
- 14:26I wanted to talk shit right now like I normally do in front of
- 14:30people because they don't speak Spanish, I can't do that right
- 14:32now because this motherfucker knows exactly what I'm saying.
- 14:35So it's like one of those, you know what I'm saying?
- 14:37Like you catch a kid stealing candy and you're not going to
- 14:40tell him, but he's like 00 and you're like, and then you just
- 14:43kind of let it. I was in HR the other day like
- 14:46trying to get my bank account information right because your
- 14:49boy just got on boarded and they spoke like in Armenian like the
- 14:56CEO in HR in front of me and I was like what the fuck y'all
- 15:02just say you know? It was like obviously about me.
- 15:06You got to get those headphones that translate in real time
- 15:10they. Have those, but it's like, but
- 15:11it's like you're only speaking in Armenian because you don't
- 15:16want me to know what I'm what you're saying.
- 15:19Like, so it's just like, I was like, what the what the fuck is
- 15:22that? True, Yeah, yeah, it's like
- 15:27pretty obvious I. Know.
- 15:29So there's some to all rattle off like a paragraph in Spanish,
- 15:34like work related, asking for something or giving directions
- 15:38and looking for something. It's so specific that if they're
- 15:41not used to it or they don't know it, like kept they're like
- 15:43what what Like what the fuck? I could make some pause for a
- 15:46second and I'm always asking like how to say stuff, but half
- 15:50of the time it's like stupid shit.
- 15:52I'm asking how to say something really dumb, but I could say
- 15:54some pretty wild shit that's like not like out of bounds or
- 15:57inappropriate, but it's super funny that like they get that
- 16:01other people wouldn't get so I can be in the inside jokes.
- 16:04It's great. It's great.
- 16:06Too bad it failed. Failed Spanish.
- 16:08You loved it. Miss Denny, you'd be proud.
- 16:10Miss Vendetti, how at your boy? Miss Puezo Fuertes.
- 16:16Miss Richardson? No.
- 16:18Miss Armstrong. Is that Armstrong?
- 16:21Yeah, yeah. Stole, stole one of her tests in
- 16:25Spanish, too, off her desk, got the homie to fill it out, and
- 16:32then sold the answers for $20 apiece to people so they had the
- 16:38answers to the test when they took it.
- 16:42The boy's not going to get Spanish.
- 16:44I heard about that. Actually.
- 16:45I'm ever hearing about that through the Grapevine that
- 16:47allegedly you did. No, not allegedly.
- 16:50No, I know, but allegedly you did.
- 16:52There's a couple times where like I thought it was funny that
- 16:55I was getting called down to be like a character witness for you
- 16:59on some super shit and I'm like y'all are calling me down like
- 17:04I'm some credible fucking witness.
- 17:06Like I was just down here like 3 days ago because.
- 17:09I was out here like stealing. Because we, because we hid
- 17:11somebody's fucking $200 Iverson's in the ceiling tiles.
- 17:16Like what are you talking about? And that was September 11th,
- 17:182001. This is when I was in the office
- 17:20for that, which I've told that story before many times.
- 17:24But people like where were you? I was like, oh, I was in
- 17:26trouble. Your boy, your boy, your boy was
- 17:28in trouble. But.
- 17:29Because of me. Not that that was me and Johnny
- 17:33Nelson we still met Matt Moody's at, but there's times where I
- 17:36got called down for you. Because I was like, I don't
- 17:37remember that. Or that time we the bell rang
- 17:40and we all walked out of the. No, no, no, I get that part.
- 17:44Tech, Tech Ed and they had like Ted, Ted, like 12 of us in a
- 17:47conference room. They were like, bro, guys.
- 17:49We were like, I don't know, We just fucking got up and walked
- 17:52out and then we had to go back like.
- 17:54Someone someone on this podcast might have started that fire.
- 17:58Oh well, that was the that was a different fire.
- 18:00This one was whatever. We just walked out of class.
- 18:02We had Tech Ed and we had some substitute teacher.
- 18:05Oh, that's right, that's right. That's.
- 18:06Right. And then it was like I was in.
- 18:07Computer arts whenever I walked out on that class.
- 18:09Everybody left the classroom. Nobody stayed.
- 18:13And it was not just like, I mean, we had a pretty rowdy
- 18:17class. We had like P Thorn Seawolf, we
- 18:19had baleen. We had a wild like that's a.
- 18:22We're just, we're just name dropping people.
- 18:25Well, I just, I kept them short. No, I agree.
- 18:27I agree, but. We had, but we had like a a
- 18:29plethora of people that you would not want to have like in
- 18:32the same room together, same bus, same group on a field trip,
- 18:37like guys and girls. And then there was people who
- 18:39had who were just the homies. Like our grade was kind of
- 18:41tight. Everyone was homies.
- 18:43I agree. The nerds. 20th anniversary
- 18:46coming up, like it's going to be super fun.
- 18:48And they weren't even necessarily nerds, but there's
- 18:50so many people that just got up and walked the fuck out that
- 18:52when they had us all in the office, like a conference room
- 18:55office, y'all, they had a whole entire class in the conference
- 18:59room office being like, what the fuck are y'all doing?
- 19:02And they wanted to like, RIP my head off you, your usual
- 19:06suspects. They were like fucking Schultz,
- 19:08fucking Huggins. But then they're like, you know,
- 19:11random. This is not a name, but like a
- 19:13made-up name like Johnson, what are you doing in here?
- 19:15Like, you know better? What did they get you to do it?
- 19:18They're like, Nah, man, I just like wanted to fucking leave
- 19:20class. It was the craziest shit we got
- 19:23in 0. Trouble also also also the tech
- 19:28Ed teacher had rumors that he had like porn stashed like in a
- 19:32closet which wasn't true. But he was off, so he was a
- 19:36substitute teacher. So he got set.
- 19:39Because it was, it was the bell. It was the bell for like the the
- 19:42grade below us to get out of class and not our class.
- 19:45We just acted like it was ours. She was like, oh, that was a
- 19:47really short class period. We were like, Oh yeah, it's real
- 19:50quick, like. Right, because they joined our
- 19:52junior high with like, I mean we ran like they joined the high
- 19:56school with the junior high is what happened.
- 19:58So it was like 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th grade.
- 20:02And so like high school was different than 10th and 8th.
- 20:05Yeah, they Sprint. We sprinted out of that
- 20:07classroom and then they didn't do shit to us.
- 20:09They're like just don't ever do this again because they couldn't
- 20:12send us all to in school suspension.
- 20:14You know, there's a limit to that.
- 20:15Now you can only put someone into in school suspension.
- 20:18For like a week. I have no idea what's going on
- 20:20with schools right now. It's.
- 20:22All. It's like you just hear like
- 20:24bullshit like, and it's like, is that really happening or, or
- 20:28people are just stupid? And then I realized like all of
- 20:32the parents are like our age. And it's like, how are we the
- 20:36ones acting crazy? You know, I thought it was
- 20:41Boomers. Oh no, they they just put a
- 20:44limit. No, I know.
- 20:46I know what you're saying. I'm just.
- 20:47Before they could have like 28 days there.
- 20:50There would be no limit, no fucking limit when we were like.
- 20:54That was like, fucking dude. It was that was crazy.
- 20:56It was like your boy got locked up using the hole and your and
- 20:59you go like lunch and like look in the window and they'd be at
- 21:02their desk and they'd look up and coach pray there and be like
- 21:05get out of here. And you're like, oh shit, the
- 21:07the one black coach and they don't even let you coach the
- 21:11men's basketball team. But Coach Prather was the shit.
- 21:14He was a baller. I'm just saying.
- 21:16No. OK.
- 21:17OK, good point. He was a Hooper, he could hoop
- 21:21the other basketball coach. They wouldn't have hooped him
- 21:23hoop for shit I I bet. OK y'all, there'll be questions.
- 21:29Don't doubt. Shout out Coach Prather.
- 21:32The shoe game was on point too. Dude.
- 21:33He always had some sick ass JS. Well.
- 21:36Mr. Goody 2 Shoes is out here for that for sure dude.
- 21:39He was probably crushing it back in the day.
- 21:41Like I don't even think about it.
- 21:42Probably he was crushing it. Slamming.
- 21:46Slamming it at that. I'm telling you, I now that I
- 21:49think about it, like in the moment, I'm getting more excited
- 21:53about how hard that dude was crushing it.
- 21:56Because, you know, he was, there's no doubt.
- 21:59He was so unassuming and quiet, bro Coach Prather was like
- 22:03piping everyone. There's no.
- 22:05Doubt, of course. Well, not in the high school,
- 22:07not in the high. School.
- 22:08No, I know, just saying like he. Was just just out there in.
- 22:11General like he was just out. I'm sure they're like, hey,
- 22:14coach Prather, he's like hey, he just says in school suspension.
- 22:17That's why he's in there because he's trying to protect himself
- 22:19from on the bitches outside. So he's like now y'all look, I'm
- 22:22going to do I'm going to do in school suspension.
- 22:26Don't look in the window back up.
- 22:28I'm going to take him to lunch when nobody else is in the
- 22:30lunchroom. Just just to say what?
- 22:33I'm the exact same way. OK.
- 22:35I hung out with him on 9/11. Like I'll, I'll just say it,
- 22:38dude, something, something happened with one of my
- 22:44employees and I just happened to run into her like coming into
- 22:49the office and it was like inappropriate, like what
- 22:53happened? And I called the meeting with
- 22:56her and she ended up quitting. I like walked her to her car
- 23:03like crazy crazy. She was just like, I just have
- 23:06too much self respect for my like to deal with this bullshit.
- 23:11And it was just like I'm in Week 2.
- 23:15Like, oh, now I'm in week 3. But like, it's like, damn.
- 23:21Like first day on the job, you feel like, Oh yeah, you felt
- 23:25like. I was just like, how?
- 23:27Like, like I just wanted her to be like, now I feel weird at
- 23:31work, but like I thought and she was like one of the best sales
- 23:35people on my team and it was just like, fuck, like this
- 23:40happened to her and then this and then she's leaving.
- 23:44Damn. Yeah, well, it's the end of the
- 23:48TQS. There'd be question #1 would you
- 23:54rather every time you laugh you float 6 inches off the ground,
- 24:02or every time you cry it rains for 5 minutes?
- 24:08I mean every time you laugh you float 6 inches off the ground.
- 24:13That'd be tight as fuck. They'd be very self-serving.
- 24:16But people be like oh shit. So you could like play
- 24:20basketball and jump and then start to laugh and get another 6
- 24:24inches on your vert. They'd be like every time he's
- 24:26dunking on people he's just laughing and like that would be
- 24:30cool. But I do feel like every time
- 24:32you cry, it rains to be more beneficial for like the planet,
- 24:36but then you just be like super sensitive all the time.
- 24:38So it'd be like you in like a drought in like a drought.
- 24:41Like your yard's Great. I see what I'm saying.
- 24:43Like like what's the range on it?
- 24:44Because that'd be cool. You could be like, hey, I got to
- 24:46go. You like, force yourself to cry?
- 24:48He cries all the time. Yeah, I got to go cry, walk.
- 24:50Gotta save the city. OK, well, like I see like where
- 24:54I like, I feel like crying and laughing are not like things
- 24:58that you can do on command unless you're like it an actor,
- 25:05you're good. At being manipulative.
- 25:07OK, an actor. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 25:10Which, you know, your boy might be not not not manipulative, but
- 25:14like, I mean, I hope one day that I could cry in command and
- 25:19laugh. I pray for the day I could be
- 25:22more manipulative and cry in command.
- 25:23Not manipulative, just like an actor, but I feel like I just
- 25:29laugh way more than I cry, so I would just go with the cry part
- 25:37right 'cause I'm laughing all the time.
- 25:41True, but that'd be tight. They're like, yo, I didn't my
- 25:45boy have. It reigned for 5 minutes.
- 25:47My boy Huggie, this this fool can fly dog I've seen.
- 25:51It that is cool too. You gotta see, like you go
- 25:53viral, you get there's some like that'd be very self-serving,
- 25:56being able to laugh and. You go viral.
- 25:58Yeah, dude, I mean you. Would you?
- 26:00Definitely. Would you can fly?
- 26:01I didn't think about that part. I didn't think about that.
- 26:05This motherfucker can fly. Not fly, not fly, float.
- 26:08You just might as well fly is closer to flying than anybody
- 26:11other motherfuckers getting. That's true.
- 26:13Bitch be floating. And the longer I laugh, the
- 26:15longer I float, son. Like what it's like I have.
- 26:18Dreams where I fly but like it's like floating.
- 26:24So it's like it's like I'm flying but like I don't really
- 26:29have control over it. It's like a reoccurring dream.
- 26:32It's weird. I have crazy reoccurring dreams
- 26:35now that the dreams are reoccurring but the backdrops
- 26:38are reoccurring. So there's like 1 airport that
- 26:41I'm always at. If I'm at an airport and I'm
- 26:43like I got to travel or go do something, there's the same
- 26:46mall. It's like the weirdest shit.
- 26:48The weirdest, the craziest is there's times where I dream
- 26:52about like our hometown. I'll bump into random people,
- 26:55you know, like stupid weird dreams like that.
- 26:57But it'll be in neighborhoods that don't exist, but they're
- 27:01attached to neighborhoods that do.
- 27:02So it'd be like driving into your neighborhood and we're
- 27:05like, there's that stop, four way stop.
- 27:07There'd be like a five way. And so where we're all going is
- 27:10at your house, but it's not here.
- 27:12You guys moved off of the street on the five way.
- 27:14So then it's like, I'm in a neighborhood that I know, but I
- 27:16don't know, it's fucking weird, man.
- 27:18And I'll wake up being like, God damn it, like why am I thinking
- 27:21about this place that doesn't exist?
- 27:23And then I ended up moving back to the area.
- 27:24So I'll go figure. I used to have dreams where all
- 27:28my teeth fell out, but that's. Not that just means you're
- 27:32insecure. What was that?
- 27:33What they? Say I don't know what it means,
- 27:35but you know, like I've I've googled the fuck out of it and
- 27:40point is I don't have those dreams anymore.
- 27:43It's. The floating ones I still do.
- 27:46See, I have dreams where I can fly and I'm aware there's times
- 27:49where I wait. I'm like aware of the fact that
- 27:52I'm dreaming, that I have control.
- 27:53But as that happens, it's almost like letting a balloon go that
- 27:57it's like, like it's slowly fleeting.
- 27:59Like by the time I reach that, my, my brain's like, abort,
- 28:02abort, abort. He's knows too much.
- 28:05Who knows what the fuck this guy's going to do?
- 28:07Get out. Pull out.
- 28:09Yeah, always pull out. And then I wake up.
- 28:12I'm like. Damn right there.
- 28:14I was about to inception some shit.
- 28:17OK. Therapy question #2 Would you
- 28:27rather your dreams be broadcasted live on YouTube or
- 28:36your Internet search history printed in the local paper?
- 28:46I feel like the same thing. I Dreams Dreams live broadcasts
- 28:49would be fucking crazy dude. I know, but the local paper, who
- 28:52the fuck reads it that that's kind of like that?
- 28:55That true, but what your dreams would be would be fucking
- 29:00insane. Like, I mean, that could be
- 29:02really bad for you. Really good.
- 29:04You don't really have that much control.
- 29:05It's just subconscious. It's like free thinking.
- 29:08So, so it would be, it would be almost as crazy as that musical
- 29:12show that you went to. Like it would be fucking tripped
- 29:15out. That was crazy.
- 29:16Like in a good ass way. It was just super fun.
- 29:19But it wouldn't make sense to a lot of people, so it'd be crazy.
- 29:22And then if you could watch your dream back, that's what would be
- 29:26wild, is if you could go back and watch much a dream you had
- 29:28that you struggled to remember and you remember fragments of
- 29:31it, but not all of it. And it's really like splotty,
- 29:34you know? And then you sometimes you have
- 29:35dreams that are very vivid that you'll remember your whole life.
- 29:38I probably got like 8 or 9 then I could.
- 29:40Just like your traumatized but. Yeah, in some way, shape or
- 29:43form, it was traumatizing in a good way, in a bad way,
- 29:45whatever. But you walked away from it and
- 29:48made an imprint on you. But if you could watch back one
- 29:52that would be like the most impactful because you'd just be
- 29:54like, what? There'd be all these weird clues
- 29:56and it would be. So it would only make sense to
- 29:58you. There'd be some stuff that would
- 30:01be probably weird. It's like, why is there a valley
- 30:03of butts? There'd be all sorts of weird
- 30:05shit like that that wouldn't make sense.
- 30:07Valley of Butts. Just saying that's possible.
- 30:10It's a dream. Anything's possible, but and
- 30:13what's that from where there's. Anything is where.
- 30:14There's like a valley where there's a valley.
- 30:16Of like Kevin Garnett shit. All all the time go sees Right
- 30:20now it's go bird. It's go.
- 30:21Other way Go birds. Right now it's go.
- 30:23Birds. Obviously that, but yeah, I'd do
- 30:27dreams for sure. I'd want to do dreams it.
- 30:32Mine would be like memes on this, memes on that, meme news,
- 30:36breaking news, BBC News articles.
- 30:38It'd be like the most random shit.
- 30:41How? Build your own stone patch.
- 30:44Is like just not that bad like so I could give a fuck.
- 30:47I thought it's bad, it's just not important.
- 30:50I don't want to do something cool man and be like, look, hey
- 30:52everybody, do you want to see a recorded dream?
- 30:55So there'd be did talk about that for forever to be studying.
- 30:58Yeah. Yeah, like this, this like.
- 31:02I like the take. I like did.
- 31:03You see the video? That black guy's dream on a
- 31:05Wednesday night? Bro, that shit changed my life.
- 31:09I identify with that motherfucker hard.
- 31:11And they're somebody else like. That go viral again that.
- 31:14'D be the most horrifying thing I've ever seen in my life.
- 31:16Like the reactions, they'd be like an inkblot test for people.
- 31:20OK, see This is why I put these questions in.
- 31:22It's because like, I don't know what your take is going to be.
- 31:25And I'll. But yeah, OK, that's fair.
- 31:27Yeah, there's precaution #3 would you rather everyone you
- 31:34meet immediately know your most recent purchase or your last
- 31:42text message? Either worse fine.
- 31:48I really wouldn't care if it'd be like you spend too much money
- 31:51on ghost energy drinks. I've like heard on God, but
- 31:54everybody got to have a. No on pod.
- 31:56On POD. Everybody got to have a vice.
- 31:59On on on Ezekiel. On on Casper, 'cause we on that
- 32:02ghost, bro, that's how we doing that.
- 32:04We on that we on that booshit. You know what I'm talking about
- 32:06on that spooky spooky ooky Watch out, watch your back puffing on
- 32:13that Ichabod pack do. You I would definitely have to
- 32:16save my last purchase 'cause I don't buy anything crazy.
- 32:19Yeah, but but with my last text message it would be totally
- 32:22worth. It could be crazy for me, like I
- 32:26think come on, like like not usually, but like it could see.
- 32:30If mine would be something about work where you'd be like, oh,
- 32:33that person's in trouble, like that'd be about it.
- 32:36It'd be I'd feel bad for the person that text is about
- 32:41because. I'm usually like screenshotting
- 32:43my text messages and like sending them to either like you
- 32:46or like the group. Like like I've been sending them
- 32:50to like the fantasy football group text, which is like 16
- 32:53people. And, and this like it's just
- 32:57like, because somebody made like a gay joke like about me, like,
- 33:01which is hilarious. But so I had to like prove
- 33:07myself like that. I and and then I just kept going
- 33:11with it And and then it's just like so I don't really give a
- 33:16shit about sending text messages, but I get what you're
- 33:19saying. Last purchase of either way,
- 33:22it'd be very impactful, just like I said and like I normally
- 33:26on diesel, I want to do the one that's is the most impactful,
- 33:30makes the most impact leave the biggest crater.
- 33:32It's like, see my dreams? That'd be fucking crazy for
- 33:35everyone, see. My dreams.
- 33:37For everybody involved. That might be the title of the
- 33:39of the audio. That'd be fucking crazy and who
- 33:43knows what it'll be. I have no control.
- 33:44It'd just be like, roll the dice.
- 33:46What was the dream last night? That'd be crazy.
- 33:48And then, yeah, for sure. I just, yeah.
- 33:53Where did you pick? I'll show you both text.
- 33:56I like it, I like it. OK, final therapy question.
- 34:03Question #4 would you rather only be able to run backwards or
- 34:14walk on tip toes forever? And now I talked to a person who
- 34:21is a champion track athlete just like Joseph is, and she I'm.
- 34:31Not a champion. Track well.
- 34:32Did you guys not win? And not not.
- 34:38I thought you guys been there like.
- 34:39State or in there, but I want some ribbons and shit.
- 34:41For sure. OK.
- 34:41Well, OK. Well, that's OK, OK.
- 34:44Competitive runner back in the day.
- 34:46There we go. How about that?
- 34:47So was I, but like, I sucked. Like you guys were actually
- 34:50putting up. No, I was like, so I was like
- 34:52fat. I was like, what?
- 34:55The longer the race to, the faster like. 200 I was faster, I
- 34:58ran competitively it it just didn't work out for me.
- 35:03But it but like no like like I. Remember you running having like
- 35:09like 9 bracelets on or some shit and they made you take them off?
- 35:14Yeah I remember that shit stuff. Yeah you can't.
- 35:17Like the guy was like what the fuck are you?
- 35:19Like I'm fast, but I'm not fast like you.
- 35:21Like like. But anyway, it doesn't even
- 35:23matter. Puka's on, puka shells on.
- 35:25Yeah, for sure. Like why is this kid wearing all
- 35:29this jewelry? Because I'm stupid.
- 35:31They're like, I don't know, they asked me to get on the bus this
- 35:33week, so I guess I'm running like that's kind of.
- 35:36Somebody backed the fuck up. All the fast kids are playing
- 35:39baseball this week so they couldn't fucking make it so.
- 35:44But I won my. Heats I won.
- 35:45My heats last. Week.
- 35:46OK, well what this person said was that either way, you're
- 35:50getting shin splints. True.
- 35:54Yeah, you're definitely getting chimps.
- 35:56Running backwards is fun and I think people can actually, if
- 36:00you know how to do it correctly, you can run backwards pretty
- 36:03fucking fast. And when you're doing it fast,
- 36:05it looks weird. Everybody tries to like do short
- 36:08steps, but you actually have to like lean forward and like kick
- 36:11your legs backward. It looks fucking goofy.
- 36:13But for sure I'd probably do tip toes.
- 36:17No. Oh, like, are we talking like
- 36:19tippy, tippy toes? Every time you walk, which is
- 36:23wherever the fuck I need to go. Can I walk on the ball?
- 36:26Like basically the balls on my feet?
- 36:29You'd have some huge calves. I know, but you have to think
- 36:31about like how often as a man in like that's 38 or whatever, you
- 36:39know, how often do you have to run, you know?
- 36:44Like when it's not by choice. Right.
- 36:46Well, I don't. I would never run.
- 36:49Well, no, I I take that back. Someone's like, hey
- 36:52motherfucker, I'm gonna rob you and you're like, oh, I could
- 36:54outrun this fat fuck. You're going to run.
- 36:56But you have to go backwards. Yeah.
- 36:59It's or you're always walking on tip toes and you always have to
- 37:06walk. That's that's the that's what.
- 37:09Yeah, if that makes sense. I can.
- 37:10See that? Yeah, it's like, I get what
- 37:14you're saying, but. If you had to do both, if you
- 37:16walked forward it had to be a new tip toes and if you ran
- 37:20backwards, if you went backwards it was only running and yeah,
- 37:24you could only go backwards. That would be tough.
- 37:28That would be almost worse. Is the only time you could go
- 37:30backwards. Yeah, the only time you could
- 37:33run is go backwards, no. No, no, OK, that that would
- 37:36suck. But I'm saying if you're moving
- 37:37backwards at all, it has to be in a runner's face.
- 37:41Like you would just like, run people the fuck over.
- 37:43You couldn't like be like up, excuse me?
- 37:45Like you would just like boom. You'd just be taking people the
- 37:48fuck out, dude. Like a step would be so
- 37:50powerful. That'd be insane.
- 37:53One time I was in college and like B was like about to attack
- 37:58me and I had like my backpack on like full of like 5 like
- 38:03textbooks and I just like jumped out like backwards hit like a
- 38:09tiny little girl who was like probably like 18 knocked her
- 38:13like on the ground because I was scared of a fucking bee.
- 38:16It was like the most disappointing like shit that
- 38:19ever happened to me. I was just so upset because like
- 38:22she like fell on the ground because I like knocked her back
- 38:25because I was scared of a fucking bee.
- 38:27And I was just like, Oh my God, I can help you.
- 38:31There was a time I was waiting tables at Trudy's, second
- 38:34Trudy's story. And man, if you're there's, if
- 38:37you were at a restaurant, like keep your fucking kids seated.
- 38:41There are these kids running the fuck around like crazy, just
- 38:44running around and I'm running food.
- 38:46I'm carrying a big ass tray of food.
- 38:48And at this restaurant I used to work at, and this was like a
- 38:50long ass time ago, there were these booths and they were
- 38:53pretty high and it was like there's a 2 rows of them and
- 38:56they ran parallel with little aisles.
- 38:58I'm coming up the stairs. There's these little like 3 step
- 39:01thing. I come around the corner on this
- 39:02food. This kid is sprinting full
- 39:05speed. Dude, if I I'd be lying if I
- 39:08didn't say I just like ended up drop me in this kid like right
- 39:12in the chest because he comes around the corner full speed and
- 39:14I'm coming upstairs. I take a step and I turn and
- 39:17when I turn with my step my knee just hits this kid like boom and
- 39:21he just goes flying backwards matrix style.
- 39:24Just gets the wind knocked out of him and I feel terrible.
- 39:27Almost drop a burrito on this kid and thank God the mom was
- 39:31like, dude, I told you to sit down because I was like, I
- 39:34wanted to be like, get your kid bro.
- 39:35Whose man's is this? Like come get this.
- 39:38Come get your boy. Come.
- 39:40Get your boy. You need to come get your boy
- 39:42because your boy is pushing it right now.
- 39:44And like he just got steamrolled by a Lenny Kravitz impersonator
- 39:49and like he is fucked up. And his kid was just like, but
- 39:54he couldn't. He was like he got the wind
- 39:55knocked out of him so he couldn't cry.
- 39:57And it didn't even hurt. Like it was one of those hits
- 39:59that was so smooth or it was just like.
- 40:02But being. Knocked out of him.
- 40:04It's tough. It's.
- 40:05Tough, but I mean like, it's not like he got like whiplashed.
- 40:08Or anything or. Yeah, yeah, it wasn't.
- 40:09It was just like he just got hit, like right in the sternum,
- 40:12got knocked. Back 'cause your boy got your
- 40:14boy got his rib broken recently now and I got the wind knocked
- 40:17out of me at the same time and it was the the last time that I
- 40:21got the wind knocked out of me was when I got my rib broken
- 40:24playing basketball. I played three more fucking
- 40:26games and then went to the hospital.
- 40:29But getting the wind knocked out of you is it's just tough.
- 40:33It's. Like, and if you haven't had
- 40:35none of most of us haven't had that happen in an extremely long
- 40:39time. So when it does, you're like,
- 40:41it's like fucking hurts. I know, but like, but, but I
- 40:46don't know about you, but like, I definitely have had that
- 40:48happen, like a lot like playing hockey and football.
- 40:52Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And so it's like, it's like I
- 40:55knew how, like I knew. It's kind of like a panic
- 40:58attack. It's like where you feel like
- 40:59you're going to die and it's like if you've, if it's your
- 41:04first one, like it's scary as hell.
- 41:07But like if you know what's happening, it's like, OK, you're
- 41:12not going to die. You just got to get to do this
- 41:16for like a minute and you're going to be OK.
- 41:19Yeah. That that's all like getting the
- 41:21one knocked out of you as it's like this is scary.
- 41:25What? What's wild too, is, if I
- 41:28remember correctly, getting kicked in the nuts hurts more
- 41:32than getting the wind knocked out of you one. 100% hurts more
- 41:36but maybe. We've been hitting the nuts so
- 41:38many times. You get past the getting the
- 41:40wind knocked out of you stage. I don't know when that
- 41:42transition happens, but that doesn't happen as much.
- 41:45You're going to get like tapped in the nuts by like a doorknob
- 41:48when you bump into it weird. You're going to someone's going
- 41:50to throw you their car keys and just go and you're like, oh,
- 41:52motherfucker. And you're like.
- 41:54Feel like in a sexual like situation?
- 41:57Like you used to like want to vomit whenever that you're like
- 42:00oh man that really fucking hurt as we're getting the wind out of
- 42:02you. Wind knocked out of you sucks
- 42:04when you catch your. Breath.
- 42:05See, that would have been a better therapy question.
- 42:08Would you rather get the wind knocked out of you or kicked in
- 42:09the nuts? Yes, it's weird.
- 42:11Is just some people who are like, oh, kicked in the nuts.
- 42:14Bro for sure. I mean like I.
- 42:20Can talk about this in therapy. You're like, whoa, dude.
- 42:23I I had to like, we haven't really talked about it, but like
- 42:26I had like the Chinese like like 21 year old sex trafficked
- 42:33person. I remember.
- 42:34You. Yeah.
- 42:35No, I you and I talked about it. Yeah, those are times when I
- 42:38answer the phone. Yes, exactly ask.
- 42:41Me to kick you in and that's it I'm like are you fucking kidding
- 42:44me? You need to leave like I'm
- 42:46trying to get you an Uber like to to save your life, like and
- 42:50you're just going to ask me to kick me and then that's get the
- 42:53fuck out of my face. Straight to the point, that's
- 42:56what she likes. That's crazy.
- 42:58Yeah, that is pretty wild. No, But also I would tell people
- 43:03whenever they'd ask, they're like, oh, you watch football,
- 43:05I'll tell them some of those big hits that you see that are like,
- 43:09clean, those hurt the least. And I always tell people too, it
- 43:13hurts more to tackle somebody than it does to get tackled.
- 43:18It hurts more to try to stop somebody going another
- 43:20direction. And.
- 43:21Make totally, totally like what you were saying what you're
- 43:23saying like on like the kick return, like I used to be on the
- 43:27kick return, like yeah, not the yeah, the kick return team.
- 43:32And then I remember our board bow, just who was a beast who
- 43:38like played like college football over in San Diego.
- 43:43I just remember him just like just going ham.
- 43:46And I went to go block him and it was just like, dude hit me so
- 43:51hard. Like I was like.
- 43:53Because he was all he was a gunner, so he was like going
- 43:55down to make a tackle. Oh yeah, See, I was always a
- 43:57gunner. So I just got to run as fast as
- 43:59I could and try to like take someone out.
- 44:02Yeah. Like if you're if you're
- 44:03blocking on it, that shit sucks. But it but like it hurts more
- 44:07when you did get blocked. Yeah, that shit hurt.
- 44:10Like it hurts more to tackle than it does to make the tackle,
- 44:18than it does to be the tackle. Because I get to adjust, I get
- 44:21to make moves. I get to try to avoid.
- 44:23You embrace as we're like, I'm aiming for a spot, I'm going to
- 44:26hit it, this person's going to react.
- 44:28We'll see what happens. Yeah, that shit hurts.
- 44:32And, and we're talking about Texas football, so it's like we
- 44:35like we went hard. But like, so I mean, you can get
- 44:38the wear and tear on being tackled can add up, but that's
- 44:42apples and oranges. It can't on the other side.
- 44:44But that shit hurts. Like you like a lot of people,
- 44:46like you get your bell rung, you get concussions making tackles.
- 44:51Like I think it's some of my worst. 100% I got concussed
- 44:55making a tackle with the boy. Cameron woke up just on like on
- 45:02on the field after after it man, they just went back and played
- 45:08like no idea, no idea what happened like came to nobody
- 45:12cared. Like came to like 30 minutes
- 45:14later I had one. Not 30 minutes later, like I
- 45:17have no idea like how much later to be honest.
- 45:19Like but like. I would assume like a minute.
- 45:22I had one of those in 8th grade. I got my bell rung and then woke
- 45:26up. I remember looking, no, it was,
- 45:30it was wild. I remember I forgot my football
- 45:32pants so I had to borrow someone else's.
- 45:35And then like, I remember coming to in the back of the easy go
- 45:38with Doc Hanson being like, and I'm like, what am I doing over
- 45:42here? And then I remember being like,
- 45:44who's fucking football pants are these?
- 45:46These aren't mine. Like I'd forgotten that I'd
- 45:48borrowed somebody. Like that's how hard I got my
- 45:50bell rung. It was like what the fuck?
- 45:52Basically what we're trying to tell y'all is that your boys
- 45:54have CTE coming. No, I'm just glad we didn't go
- 45:57any much further because we might have that's.
- 45:59Not possible, I know. OK, we're going on to the
- 46:02topics. We are going to take a break.
- 46:04I do not want an eye roll from Joseph.
- 46:07There we go. That was like a flutter but on
- 46:12the audio. The audio will be right.
- 46:15The fuck? Back, what can I say?
- 46:17You're you're on a heater right now.
- 46:18I am on a. Heater making a warm warmer in
- 46:21Texas if it's if that's possible.
- 46:23You know, I'm Chef Curry in the kitchen right now.
- 46:25Oh my. And now we're back with the
- 46:29topics. All right, get into it.
- 46:36I'm just fucking with you. I was like like you.
- 46:39What the fuck bro? So this happened recently.
- 46:44Obviously this is just another Epstein files distraction, but
- 46:49Donald Trump's released has seized control of the DC Police
- 46:54Department and has deployed the National Guard.
- 46:57He is. So this is from the AP and it's
- 47:02Trump's domestic troop deployment test the limits of a
- 47:04nearly 150 year old law. As President Donald Trump pushes
- 47:10the bounds of military activity on domestic soil, a debate
- 47:13emerged over 150 year old law that regulates when federal
- 47:16troops can intervene in state issues.
- 47:19About 800 National Guard troops filed into DC on Tuesday after
- 47:23President Trump said without substantiation that there that
- 47:29they that they, that they were needed, sorry, this looked
- 47:33weird, that they were needed to reduce crime in the lawless
- 47:37national capital thousands of miles away.
- 47:39A judge in California is hearing arguments over whether the
- 47:42president's recent decisions to federalize Guard personnel in
- 47:46Los Angeles during protests was against immigration raids
- 47:50violated federal law. What's wild too about this is DC
- 47:54has right now having as the lowest crime they've had in like
- 47:58exactly like 3536 years ago. It makes.
- 48:02No like it. Other than fascism, it makes no
- 48:06sense. Yeah, he has also created
- 48:08militarized zones along the US Mexico border as part of a major
- 48:12shift that has thrust the army into the immigration enforcement
- 48:15like never before. Now, this is something that
- 48:18we've discussed before, and I've said if you really give a shit
- 48:22about immigration and people crossing illegally, then you
- 48:25just need to militarize the border.
- 48:26Otherwise you're full of shit. Like, unless you're going to.
- 48:28I'm not saying that you have tanks there to shoot people, but
- 48:32if you really wanted to use the technology we have on our hands
- 48:36that like drops a Cortana wielding missile from the sky
- 48:41and chops people up about hitting somebody 2 inches
- 48:45sitting next to them. Like you could use that same
- 48:48stuff to patrol the border and actually catch coyotes bringing
- 48:51in people through. The well what about just
- 48:52arresting the fucking owners of the businesses?
- 48:56Like I got into an argument with somebody recently who employ
- 49:01them. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 49:04It's like, because they don't want to.
- 49:06That's the fucking thing. Yeah, I mean, if the the the
- 49:09ripple effect, I mean we're already seeing some of it, but
- 49:12if they're. Why are we arresting the like if
- 49:14the jobs don't exist? Right?
- 49:18If if if the employer is getting arrested for employing illegal
- 49:27immigrants then it will stop. The fact is they don't want it
- 49:32to to actually stop. This is like a power move.
- 49:36Oh it's always the border and open borders and all that stuff
- 49:40has been an issue since the 80s. This is like the same debate
- 49:43we've been having in circles for damn near 40. 50 It just bothers
- 49:46me. It's like it's like there's
- 49:48people here who like contribute to this country who just want to
- 49:52like live and we're and then just recently were acting like,
- 50:00oh fuck these people, they have to go.
- 50:03And it's like, OK, I get if you're in an illegal immigrant,
- 50:11if that's the term we're going to use, they you shouldn't be in
- 50:16the country, right, OK, fine, good.
- 50:21The fact is that there's jobs and houses and everything
- 50:28available. These people pay into Medicare
- 50:32and Social Security, never going to collect it.
- 50:35They don't have a Social Security card.
- 50:38So what are we doing? Like if we want to stop this,
- 50:43arrest the fucking white owner who employs them.
- 50:50Like that's it. Yeah.
- 50:51But that's, I mean, that's also not the answer because then if
- 50:54you did that and those jobs went away, you'd still lose that
- 50:56revenue. So.
- 50:56But I see what you're saying. No, no, no.
- 50:58I understand. Like if you want to end the
- 51:00problem and like, that's how you, yeah.
- 51:02That's like saying like, are we going to keep arresting the same
- 51:04crack dealer on the street? Whatever I know he's getting,
- 51:08he's dealing drugs for the dude in the mansion down the way.
- 51:11Why don't I just arrest the guy in the mansion and then the.
- 51:13Cracker No, I'm saying the different.
- 51:14I'm saying I'm saying arrest. The no crack dealer, well,
- 51:18obviously, but I'm saying is it's like it's repeat, repeat,
- 51:21repeat, but it's but it's on purpose.
- 51:25But the crack dealer is selling some drugs for somebody else.
- 51:28So why wouldn't you just go for the the guy who's just actually
- 51:31distributing the drugs? It's like.
- 51:33That's what I'm saying, yeah. Yeah.
- 51:34So. I I get what you're saying, but
- 51:36I mean that's still the ripple effects of that would be huge.
- 51:39Yeah, well, guess what? So that's.
- 51:41So how about let's just not do it in general?
- 51:44But I've said that if you want to actually stop the shit at the
- 51:47border and take it serious, and that's what you were wanting to
- 51:50do is to. But why?
- 51:52But why? If you want, well, I've always
- 51:55said you should just, I mean, we're getting a little off
- 51:57topic, but you should all, you should just streamline it and
- 51:59make it easier for people to come here if they want to be
- 52:02here and coming here illegally shouldn't be the basically the
- 52:07only viable option for people to come here.
- 52:10That's what so that's what I'm saying.
- 52:12So if you make it to where it's militarized and they can't, and
- 52:15then you streamline it so that they can come in here legally
- 52:18and you expedite the process. So does it take like 7 to 8
- 52:21years to process? And then that would then OK, but
- 52:25like, I'm like, but you can't you, you can't just be like, oh,
- 52:28we're not going to do anything. They're they're crossing through
- 52:30the mountains and we've got drones that could see a fucking
- 52:33freckle on the back of so you. Are you kidding me though?
- 52:35Are you kidding me? Like you're trying to drop
- 52:38drones on people coming. No, not bombs, just to surveil.
- 52:42You could track people in the mountains.
- 52:45Like like I'm saying like the people that are crossing
- 52:47illegally. There's coyotes transporting
- 52:49people here, making them go on these long death walks through
- 52:53the desert and shit. Like you could find those people
- 52:55and easily track them the entire time if they wanted to.
- 52:58That the that's. But they don't want to.
- 53:00Exactly. But so that's where.
- 53:02That's why this whole thing is so stupid.
- 53:06That's dumb, but he did do that. The cases, both in California
- 53:10and Washington, mainly hinge on the Posse Comiteus Act.
- 53:15I'm going to say that Komitatus Act Komitatus Act, which passed
- 53:18in 1878 and largely prevents the military from enforcing domestic
- 53:23laws. Experts say that in both cases,
- 53:25there are clear limitations to the law enforcement.
- 53:29Here's what to know about the law.
- 53:32And the reason, the reason why it's 1878 is it's right after
- 53:35the Civil War. And that's like, so Abraham
- 53:37Lincoln like is the first person who enacted the income tax and
- 53:43it was to pay for the Civil War. And then that's when we had like
- 53:47a full military like for the United States.
- 53:52There is an exception. I'm sorry that it is a criminal
- 53:56statute that prevents the military from enforcing domestic
- 53:58law, which also prevents the military from investigating
- 54:01local current crimes, overriding local law enforcement, or
- 54:04compelling certain behaviors. It can be bypassed by a
- 54:08congressional vote or in order to defend the Constitution.
- 54:12The insurrection of 18 O 7 can also trigger the suspension of
- 54:17the ACT and allows the president to deploy military domestically
- 54:20in cases of invasion or rebellion.
- 54:23There's an exception for the US Coast Guard, which has some law
- 54:26enforcement responsibility. That's like hardcore Coast Guard
- 54:29dudes are hardcore just like a game wardens in Texas.
- 54:32They can just like walk onto your property and be like, what
- 54:34are you doing? Like game wardens are crazy.
- 54:37Look like there if you one of those guys walk up on you,
- 54:39that's worse than what is a. Game warden like like for like
- 54:43wildlife. Yeah, like wildlife hunting,
- 54:46fishing. So they so they could be like, I
- 54:48think you've been fishing and you fished over your limit.
- 54:51I'm going to search your car. And that's all they need like
- 54:54that. That's it.
- 54:54They can't really do shit. Private property kind of exists
- 54:58'cause it's like he's there to protect the land and the animals
- 55:02in the land and make sure you're not like destroying the planet.
- 55:05But it's a cop game. Wardens are scary as fuck.
- 55:07I just heard somebody, I'm not even kidding, just heard
- 55:10somebody say that they dress up like a game warden when they
- 55:17fish. And then just like if the game
- 55:20warden shows up, they're like, yeah, dude, I'm here like
- 55:24investigating. But they're actually like.
- 55:28That's crazy 'cause that's. I swear to God I heard.
- 55:32That's like impersonating a federal officer 'cause they're
- 55:35sue as like, they can arrest you.
- 55:37You're like, you're like, they're like BMX.
- 55:40They can basically search you, search you with no cause because
- 55:44they can just create cause like they're crazy.
- 55:46Like they can do some super wild shit.
- 55:49So if you ever in the woods smoking weed and you get rolled
- 55:51up on by a game warden, like you're fucked.
- 55:54It's not like, oh, I hope this cop's cool.
- 55:57Game wardens are not cool. Like they're grumpy asshole
- 56:00white dudes who drive around in these tricked out trucks by
- 56:03themselves. They don't roll around with
- 56:04partners any like old white dude in his mid 40s to late 50s
- 56:09that's just allowed to walk around the woods by himself with
- 56:11a gun and enforce law. US is like a dangerous person
- 56:16even if and like even if he's on the side for good.
- 56:19Like yeah, get out there. It's 1,000,000 acres.
- 56:22No, I know. And then like, you know, ice is
- 56:24just like on that level right now.
- 56:26So it's just. Yeah, ice, ice out here acting
- 56:29like they're game wardens and they're not.
- 56:32The law was enacted after the Resurrection era, and the law
- 56:36was enacted in 1978, post Civil War, during the Reconstruction.
- 56:40So it was after the Reconstruction Era.
- 56:42Pro segregate segregationist representatives in Congress
- 56:45wanted to keep the military from blocking the enforcement of Jim
- 56:48Crow laws that allowed racial segregation.
- 56:51We don't want the Army telling us that we got to be around
- 56:53black folks. That's crazy.
- 56:55No, I don't think the Army wants to do this.
- 56:58Like and also like what? They didn't say whether or not
- 57:02they were going to be armed when they're in Washington, DC, and
- 57:06they're also not even allowed to be there.
- 57:09Like it's like the whole thing is nuts, dude.
- 57:13Like it's like, I already knew this dude was a fascist but I
- 57:17didn't know that like he was capable of like doing like
- 57:23fascist shit like this quick like this quickly.
- 57:26What if there's some crazy information that comes out about
- 57:30any of this stuff? And then he's like already got
- 57:32him deployed so he's like, all right, everybody stay back.
- 57:35Like he's like prepared, but it's like.
- 57:37Yeah, that's what that's what it feels like.
- 57:39Like he's preparing for Fallout, like hunkering down inside his
- 57:43castle and shuttering the doors. That's what it feels like.
- 57:47Why the fuck else would he be doing this?
- 57:50And does he have the big defense back up around the White House?
- 57:54No and defense came up because of January 6th like remind you.
- 58:00No, I know. I'm just.
- 58:01No, no. No, no, he didn't decide to do
- 58:03that. He already got voted out of
- 58:05office when that happened. Yeah, but the spirit of law,
- 58:11Spirit of law also has roots of going all the way back to the
- 58:14Revolutionary War, when the founders of the United States
- 58:17were scarred by the British monarchy's absolute military
- 58:21control. And William C Banks, a
- 58:23professor, or that's what William C Banks, a professor at
- 58:26Syracuse University, said. We have a tradition in the
- 58:29United States, which is more a norm than a law, that we want
- 58:33law enforcement to be conducted by civilians and not the
- 58:36military. The ethos ingrained in the
- 58:38National Guard personnel starting in basic training
- 58:42becomes especially powerful in the case of this act, because
- 58:46the law has hardly ever been tested before.
- 58:50So, like, they haven't really done this.
- 58:51They're just like, fucking winging it, dude.
- 58:54This dude's fucking winging it, and half of it's a distraction.
- 58:57Well, because he doesn't. I wish, I wish he was winging
- 59:02it. It seems systematic to me.
- 59:08And and and and I just didn't know that he knew how to do like
- 59:15something like Putin this like, you know.
- 59:18We're surrounded by people that that's their whole.
- 59:20I know, but Stephen Miller knows.
- 59:23Stephen Miller. Yeah, I agree.
- 59:24I know that's. Exactly, exactly what I thought
- 59:27when I when I heard about this was like dude what what why why?
- 59:35Like it's so unnecessary. Oh yeah, I mean.
- 59:41So you all just made like $5 billion like in six months on
- 59:46your shit coin and like your, your grift, your, your, your
- 59:51tariffs that you just like change up and then just get like
- 59:54Vietnam to like agree to like a billion dollar golf course.
- 59:58It's like, I just don't get, I don't get like the like, this is
- 1:00:04what I've been trying to say. It's like we're watching people
- 1:00:07addicted to money and everybody needs money.
- 1:00:12So we just let it happen. Being like, oh, they're just
- 1:00:15trying to get money. And it's like, no, we're
- 1:00:18watching crack addicts and now we have one in the fucking White
- 1:00:25House. It's crazy to me.
- 1:00:28It's pretty wild, yeah. I mean, the grift is real and.
- 1:00:35For sure, for sure. And it's.
- 1:00:38Selling bibles bro. Selling Trump watches.
- 1:00:42Ridiculous. Well, the OK that like to me.
- 1:00:46Oh, that was wild. But we were like in the we were
- 1:00:48like in the middle. Of gold shoes, bibles, crypto
- 1:00:52coins like what stakes colleges like what are we doing as a
- 1:01:00country and. Like what universe is this?
- 1:01:03Yes. What timeline are we in?
- 1:01:05It's like, it's like boomers are like, yeah, get it, Get your
- 1:01:08last grab, bro. Like it's like weird.
- 1:01:10But why? But why?
- 1:01:13It's like you're the president of the United States, like you
- 1:01:16don't need to do anything ever again.
- 1:01:19You're good. But no, he can't stop himself.
- 1:01:25It's gross. It's.
- 1:01:26Gross. Yeah, it's like this.
- 1:01:30Gluttonous to the Max like I'm. Triggered.
- 1:01:33The law applies to federalized troop troops.
- 1:01:36The ACT typically does not apply to the National Guard because of
- 1:01:39the Guard members report to the governor and not the federal
- 1:01:42government. But when the Guard personnel are
- 1:01:44federalized, they are bound to bound by the ACT until they are
- 1:01:48returned to state control. Yeah.
- 1:01:51I mean, it's pretty wild. I mean it's.
- 1:01:53Unbelievable. Unfucking believable.
- 1:01:56He's already he's already in charge of the National Guard and
- 1:01:59can legally deploy troops for 30 days without congressional
- 1:02:02approval. There's a lot in the water about
- 1:02:05the Trump administration. Being you think, you think you,
- 1:02:08you think those troops, these troops are leaving in 30 days,
- 1:02:11it's like guaranteed that that that they aren't.
- 1:02:13There's a lot of water in. There's a lot of water in the
- 1:02:19There's a lot in the water about the Trump administration being
- 1:02:21lawless. What is striking is actually how
- 1:02:24much the administration is trying to wrap itself into the
- 1:02:27law. Well, that's how, that's how
- 1:02:30fascism, that's how fascism works.
- 1:02:33It's like, it never. It's, it's like you vote them
- 1:02:36into office. It's a minority.
- 1:02:38They use the bureaucracy to take over the country.
- 1:02:44I just didn't know he was capable of doing it.
- 1:02:48I don't think, I think he's just a good figurehead for it.
- 1:02:50I don't think he's, he's not acting on his own accord.
- 1:02:52He's doing he's, I think that he's surrounded by people he
- 1:02:56had. Four years before and like it's
- 1:02:58like he was a shitty president then, but like he didn't like
- 1:03:04have like these moves like that. That's the problem.
- 1:03:08And it's like, and it's like why?
- 1:03:10Why? Like I don't get why That's
- 1:03:15that's why I struggle like with this shit.
- 1:03:17It's like, why the fuck are you doing this?
- 1:03:20Like why do you even care? Yeah, true.
- 1:03:25That's what I want to know. It's like, what's like when I
- 1:03:28get confused? It's like when it bothers me the
- 1:03:30most. It's just like, I just like, I
- 1:03:33don't understand what's happening.
- 1:03:37Beyond the legal exemptions written in the law, exceptions
- 1:03:39written in the law, there is a practical question of how to
- 1:03:42enforce it. Because the posse could
- 1:03:47comitatus. It's COMITATUS.
- 1:03:52Comitatus Act is a criminal statute, not a civil one. the US
- 1:03:56Department of Justice is responsible for prosecution in
- 1:03:59Criminal Court. It's premised on the executive
- 1:04:02branch policy policing itself. That leaves at unclear legal
- 1:04:06standing for whether a state government like California has a
- 1:04:09right to sue in civil court in the first place.
- 1:04:12The ruling in California case will likely be a narrow
- 1:04:16interpretation based on the circumstances of the Guard's
- 1:04:20deployment in LA. But he said it could dictate how
- 1:04:24the administration uses the Guard in other cities like
- 1:04:27Chicago and New York, where Trump has threatened to
- 1:04:29federalize troop troops. Because he's already said like
- 1:04:32we're going to take over other cities if.
- 1:04:34I already told you your boys are about to be in the streets, like
- 1:04:37for sure. Why would you be?
- 1:04:41Oh, like to protest? No, we ain't protesting anymore
- 1:04:47bro. It's getting way, way crazier,
- 1:04:50all right. Man, just careful.
- 1:04:56No, obviously. But I mean, I'm just telling you
- 1:04:59like I already said this like 1000.
- 1:05:02You are the leader of Antifa. That is true.
- 1:05:07So yeah, I got to do some shit. Leader, I forgot.
- 1:05:12Careful, man. He's probably watching this
- 1:05:14article #2 from NPR. Say bye bye to the beeps and
- 1:05:19bloops of AOL's dial up Internet service.
- 1:05:22That's right, AOL is going away. It starts off beep boop boop
- 1:05:30boop. Such was the sound of AO LS dial
- 1:05:34up service, a marker for trying to connect to the Internet in
- 1:05:38the 1990s. Now the company has announced
- 1:05:40it's getting rid of dial up. AOL routinely evaluates its
- 1:05:43products and services and has decided to discontinue dial up
- 1:05:47Internet. It will run until September
- 1:05:4930th. I didn't know they were still
- 1:05:51doing dial up. I didn't even know AOL was still
- 1:05:53alive. Thechefandy@aol.com Shout out
- 1:05:57your boy. I mean, I had no idea.
- 1:06:00Dial up it. What is dial up?
- 1:06:02Damn dial up. Uses a modem.
- 1:06:04Well that that was the problem with the floods is that they
- 1:06:08didn't have like the Wi-Fi. They had like the dial up.
- 1:06:13It makes sense. Dial up uses a modem to convert
- 1:06:16digital data from a computer into audio signals, which can
- 1:06:20travel over standard phone lines.
- 1:06:22There you go. Actually, I didn't actually know
- 1:06:24that was the thing you just can plug.
- 1:06:27I get it. Oh, I just got something about
- 1:06:29President Trump. Get out of here.
- 1:06:31Well, I would think it was like, you should donate to NPR because
- 1:06:34President Trump's an asshole. You just have.
- 1:06:37AI hate that part because I was in the PR a little time and
- 1:06:40they've been hitting that and they're like.
- 1:06:42They're like, Trump sucks. Well, like, because like,
- 1:06:44they'll go through like, I think, I think it's four times
- 1:06:49like, where they're like looking for money, you know, and it's
- 1:06:54like for a week each time. And I just can't listen to it,
- 1:06:59like during those weeks because it's just most of it is just
- 1:07:02them like asking for money. And it's just like, OK, well,
- 1:07:06this is now unlistenable. But now, now it's all the time
- 1:07:12because of the defunding. Yeah.
- 1:07:16In some, does it say users had to plug their computers in?
- 1:07:19Yep. In some ways it's kind of like
- 1:07:20the sound of the 1990s. I'd agree with that, but it had
- 1:07:23its drawbacks, such as users not being able to use the phone and
- 1:07:27the Internet at the same time. It also had a fraction of the
- 1:07:30speed available in today's Internet Internet landscape.
- 1:07:33Downloading a song took several minutes.
- 1:07:35Downloading a movie was unheard of.
- 1:07:38Several minutes. Sometimes you'd download a song
- 1:07:39and it downloaded a song, it'd take days.
- 1:07:42AOL rolled out its dial up service in 1989.
- 1:07:45Lawmakers were focused on closing the digital divide, the
- 1:07:49idea that people were living in poorer or more rural areas could
- 1:07:52not have had inadequate access to the Internet or equitable.
- 1:07:58The company was known for handling for handing out discs
- 1:08:02and CDs that gave users several hours of free Internet access
- 1:08:05for free. They were so embedded.
- 1:08:06I remember getting those too, seeing them all the time in the
- 1:08:08mail. They were so embedded in the
- 1:08:111990s American cult, American culture, that one of those discs
- 1:08:15now sits in the Smithsonian's CD.
- 1:08:17Collections. OK, so remember, I have to go
- 1:08:21off topic. Remember how I brought up last
- 1:08:24episode about the trophy, the Tennessee?
- 1:08:27We got Sean Gruden to do a cameo and he did it and this
- 1:08:35motherfucker sold it. Did sold it, like went off for 2
- 1:08:441/2 minutes on Max about not giving the trophy, threw his
- 1:08:50glasses down and just like laid into him.
- 1:08:55Fucking great dude Did. You find out anything about the
- 1:09:00trophy? Dude OK, so this is what
- 1:09:04happened. He sends like a picture of the
- 1:09:07trophy as because I asked for proof of life and I got and I
- 1:09:12was ago. I was like Nah.
- 1:09:14I was like I need a newspaper like with the date on it next to
- 1:09:18the trophy. But literally the text before he
- 1:09:21sent us the picture of the trophy, he said he was on
- 1:09:26mushrooms at outside lands like which is like a festival.
- 1:09:31And so I was like, and then everybody was like, OK, so you
- 1:09:34will send it now I go. And then I just clicked like a
- 1:09:38clock with me. And I was like, yo, he just told
- 1:09:42us he was on mushrooms at a festival and acted like he just
- 1:09:45took a picture of the trophy. Open your fucking eyes.
- 1:09:49Like the trophy is gone. But Gruden, I'm going to say
- 1:09:54I'll send you the video. Gruden fucking kills him.
- 1:10:00Kills him. That's pretty awesome.
- 1:10:03I'll have to check it out. You send it to me.
- 1:10:08The company's known for hanging out disk.
- 1:10:09Yeah. Dial up was considered
- 1:10:11accessible at the time as it requires A landline technology
- 1:10:14and many Americans had that. However, it has largely been
- 1:10:17replaced by broadband Internet. As of 2022.1% of American
- 1:10:23households relied on dial up access for the Internet.
- 1:10:27For those people who live in rural communities today, they're
- 1:10:29going to have to find an alternative.
- 1:10:31AOL did not introduce dial up, but it became popular popular
- 1:10:35because of its ease and its use use in interface, which included
- 1:10:40things like news and e-mail on a home page.
- 1:10:43Hey. Max Max John Gruden here, the
- 1:10:47old coach. Max is playing this.
- 1:10:50Here in Tampa, FL, I got a lot of work to do, man, but I can't
- 1:10:56concentrate. I got a message from everybody
- 1:10:59in the dynasty league, the fantasy Football League, and
- 1:11:01it's troubling. You know, this is a 15 year
- 1:11:06league, man. The dynasty trophy is the most
- 1:11:09prestigious trophy there is. I mean, you could say the
- 1:11:13Lombardi Trophy maybe, but the dynasty trophy, it is freaking
- 1:11:17significant, man, and the dynasty trophy is missing.
- 1:11:21Are you aware of this, Max? You're the commissioner.
- 1:11:25You're the king of relentless trash trading bullcrap.
- 1:11:29Where's the trophy? You had it last.
- 1:11:32It's been 2 years since anyone's seen the freaking trophy.
- 1:11:34Now everybody's calling me. Everybody's beat me up.
- 1:11:38They got to get this trophy back.
- 1:11:40So they called me in to call you to tell you get the freaking
- 1:11:44trophy back, man. And I know you look like
- 1:11:46Zoolander, OK? And I know you're walking real.
- 1:11:49Everybody's like, look at that guy.
- 1:11:52And I know it bothers you looking like that, but that's no
- 1:11:55excuse, Max. It's no excuse.
- 1:11:59That's. Awesome.
- 1:12:01And I. Think there should be
- 1:12:02punishments for this trophy under your watch being missing?
- 1:12:06Because it's a very important trophy.
- 1:12:08I think you should get a spray tan on half of your body.
- 1:12:11OK. And I think you should walk
- 1:12:13around the freaking neighborhood with a pair of shorts on and a
- 1:12:17hat, sunglasses. And then I think you go door to
- 1:12:20door with 20 blank CDs blank, and you sell them door to door.
- 1:12:26That's your highlight tape from last year's fantasy football
- 1:12:30that you were the commissioner of.
- 1:12:31Hey, you want to buy my highlight tape?
- 1:12:33No one's going to buy it because they're 1999.
- 1:12:37And when they do buy it, there are no highlights because it's
- 1:12:39blank. That's the kind of crap that
- 1:12:43you're pulling. You need to be punished for
- 1:12:45this. And I'm telling you this too.
- 1:12:47You got a guy, Joey. He needs the trophy, man to keep
- 1:12:54his existence. I mean, this guy's struggling
- 1:12:56without the trophy. How do you deal about that?
- 1:12:59Better get this done, man. I'll check in later.
- 1:13:04Hey, that's epic. How much would that cost?
- 1:13:06$300. That's worth it.
- 1:13:09Totally. It's worth it.
- 1:13:11It's 20 bucks each because there's 16 people, but we kept
- 1:13:14him out 15 * 20. Yeah, that's great.
- 1:13:18That's totally. That's a good use of. 20 I knew
- 1:13:20it was going to be good, I just didn't know it was going to be
- 1:13:22that good. Yeah, I know.
- 1:13:23You look like, did you guys send him a picture of him or
- 1:13:25anything? No, like we sent him the script.
- 1:13:30Oh. I I I your boy, you know your
- 1:13:33boy. You think you didn't have him
- 1:13:35cuss? I would have made him cuss.
- 1:13:36No. Well, maybe he like like he like
- 1:13:41changed it up a little bit, but he he kind of he, he stuck to
- 1:13:44it. But it was like a 300 bucks for
- 1:13:47like 250 characters. Like it was like there was like
- 1:13:51a thing. So I came up with like bullet
- 1:13:54points and then because like, everybody else was like into
- 1:13:58this and I came in late and then I just woke up like in Beverly
- 1:14:02Hills and it was just like, fuck, like, this is amazing.
- 1:14:09It was a genius, Greeden's awesome, but this is the end of
- 1:14:15an era of the dial up, so, I mean, there's still going to.
- 1:14:17Be a because you said burn CDs. That's that's why I thought
- 1:14:20about. It no, no, I gotcha.
- 1:14:21But this is an end of an era for dial up.
- 1:14:23I mean, that's the death of like the one of the original
- 1:14:26dinosaurs of Internet, but that's that's huge.
- 1:14:29Didn't know it was still around. Lasted way longer than I
- 1:14:33thought. Talk about longevity in the
- 1:14:34Internet game. Dial up Wi-Fi ain't even been
- 1:14:37around that long. No, I know my dad actually like
- 1:14:41like put through like copper cables, like from California to
- 1:14:46Japan, like he was in charge of that for, for high speed
- 1:14:54Internet, you know, but it's crazy that like people like in
- 1:14:59West Virginia just don't have it or, or rural Texas or whatever.
- 1:15:03Yeah. But but, but, but then it's
- 1:15:06scary though too, because Elon, Elon Musk is like got 60% of the
- 1:15:11low like orbit satellites that can provide Internet and it's
- 1:15:17like he's got a monopoly on it so.
- 1:15:19Yeah, he's got Starlink, so that's what he's that's what I'm
- 1:15:22talking about, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:15:23So it's like now we have like this asshole who's like in
- 1:15:26charge of like the better Internet and it's just.
- 1:15:31Is it wild on the space? We're we're fucked again.
- 1:15:35Yeah, we're talking in a lot of ways, man.
- 1:15:36I know, I know, but but let's stay positive here on the pod.
- 1:15:42Article #3 I'm going to read the first one first.
- 1:15:46Grand Theft La Boo Boo $30,000 in stolen La Boo Boo dolls found
- 1:15:51in Southern California house Nearly $30,000 of stolen La Boo
- 1:15:56Boo dolls were discovered in a San Bernardino.
- 1:15:58Of course, it's in San Bernardino County home after
- 1:16:01they were taken in a course, Yeah.
- 1:16:05Why you shit on my state like that?
- 1:16:08Under state, just certain parts we're from and I mean no SAN.
- 1:16:14Bernardino No, no, no, no, You're right.
- 1:16:16You're no, it's not. I'm not, I'm not that off base.
- 1:16:19Trust me, I'm not. Yeah, I know.
- 1:16:21It's. Like my sister lives in Studio
- 1:16:23City, my uncle lives in Thousand Oaks.
- 1:16:26Studio City is different, and I was born in Thousand Oaks, so
- 1:16:30we're good. No, Grandma Van Nuys shut up.
- 1:16:35Yeah, they were taken. Oh Jesus Christ.
- 1:16:37The guy who stole them looks insane, bro.
- 1:16:40Whoa, there is a video. That dude looks fucking creepy.
- 1:16:45But you're stealing $30,000 worth of labooboo found in San
- 1:16:48Bernardino Monday. Investors investigators didn't
- 1:16:51say when the dolls were taken, but they did say they were
- 1:16:54recently investigating a warehouse burglary where
- 1:16:57suspects suspects stole boxes containing highly sought after
- 1:17:01blah Boo Boo collectible figurines.
- 1:17:04These items, popular in pop culture, are often sold for high
- 1:17:07prices online. We've taken in multiple trips
- 1:17:10over several days. Well, they were taken in
- 1:17:12multiple trips over several days.
- 1:17:13So somebody hit that la Boo Boo, like, dude, they found like
- 1:17:16access to them and they hit that shit like multiple times.
- 1:17:19That's a lot of la Boo Boo. Not kidding, got a text while we
- 1:17:27were on break. We're late on the LA Boo Boo.
- 1:17:32No, I know this just happened. These guys somebody.
- 1:17:34No, no, no. Just somebody told me that like
- 1:17:37where the wild things are. It was like more of an update
- 1:17:41than the Boo Boo. I have no idea what any of it
- 1:17:45means. Where does Where the Wild Things
- 1:17:48Are like the like the story, that story's tight.
- 1:17:50No, I know. I was like, I like that's.
- 1:17:53Kind of what they look like, they look like creatures from
- 1:17:55Where the Wild Things are, but we'll get into that.
- 1:17:57But I'm just I'm just talking about this.
- 1:17:59No, no, I'm just keeping you updated.
- 1:18:02While investigating the theft, police were served with a search
- 1:18:05warrant for a home in Upland where they found fourteen boxes
- 1:18:09of stolen merchandise. There we were also recovered
- 1:18:11evidence indicating that there were items that the items were
- 1:18:16being prepared for resale across the country.
- 1:18:18One suspect who tried to free from police was arrested at the
- 1:18:21scene. They have not yet identified
- 1:18:23them. Police said the dolls were
- 1:18:25returned to the rightful owners last week.
- 1:18:27Authorities in La Puente, which is about 25 miles from Upland,
- 1:18:33We're looking into a similar theft of Libooboo dolls from One
- 1:18:37Stop Sales, a novelty store, in which in that case, thousands of
- 1:18:42dollars worth of collectibles were also taken.
- 1:18:45Days after the theft, deputies helped recover some of the
- 1:18:48stolen knives. How are you stealing these
- 1:18:50libooboos and getting like they're catching you the next
- 1:18:52day they're finding like they're just like, oh, there's one of
- 1:18:55them that's. Ring camera bro True.
- 1:19:00It's like. You and I, it's like you and I
- 1:19:02stealing like fucking modellos or something.
- 1:19:05You know, like back in like 2003.
- 1:19:09La Boo Boos are characters created by the artist casting
- 1:19:12Lung from his The Monsters book series.
- 1:19:16They have become especially popular in recent months as
- 1:19:19plush dolls. So what the fuck is a La Boo
- 1:19:23Boo? I'm guessing it.
- 1:19:26I thought you just said it looks like.
- 1:19:28I got on a Libooboo is a plush toy that is causing a frenzy.
- 1:19:32Here's its origin story. This is from NPR.
- 1:19:35It's a plush doll. It's a bag charm.
- 1:19:37It's a collectible that recently sold for six figures.
- 1:19:40But no, it's a wildly popular creature.
- 1:19:43Is it a gremlin or the one of the monsters from the classic
- 1:19:46movie Where the Wild Where the wild things are?
- 1:19:49There we go meet Labooboo. Labooboo comes in a range of
- 1:19:52sizes as figurines, plushies, but the most popular in blind
- 1:19:56boxes, which is like gambling. I was listening to Tim Dillon
- 1:19:59talk about this. He's like, it's like gambling
- 1:20:01for kids. So you don't know what you get.
- 1:20:03You buy a Labooboo and I hope. It's what I mean, that's kind of
- 1:20:05like baseball cards, right? You don't really know what like
- 1:20:10baseball like. You could get a Ken Griffey
- 1:20:12junior rookie. Card.
- 1:20:13That's true. That's true.
- 1:20:14That's true popular in blind boxes and our beloved among
- 1:20:20young adults, considered a popular fashion trend often
- 1:20:24clipped to bags or belt loops. Most most recently, people are
- 1:20:28dressing up as the plushie and at a Pride parade and a protest
- 1:20:33against immigration rates. So people are just running
- 1:20:36around like the boob is dude let.
- 1:20:39Me. See here.
- 1:20:42Life-size Liboo boo's not like a terrible like name.
- 1:20:46I call you Shorty. Last week, a life-size Liboo Boo
- 1:20:51figure sold for more than $170,000 at the first the first
- 1:20:57Liboo Boo art auction hosted in China.
- 1:21:00The event drew nearly 1000 bidders.
- 1:21:03You know what that reminds me of?
- 1:21:04Is like NFTS, like the the, what was it called?
- 1:21:07Like the was it something ape? Oh, Board 8, Board eight.
- 1:21:15Yeah, that's what. That's what it reminds me.
- 1:21:17Yeah, that. Yeah, that's what that shit
- 1:21:19reminds me of. It's like, yeah, this shit, you
- 1:21:21just dropped $200,000 on this shit.
- 1:21:25It's not worth anything. Nobody even is going to give a
- 1:21:28fuck in one year. And be like, oh, you're that
- 1:21:31idiot who bought that little boot.
- 1:21:32But at the same time, like, I gave away my Pokémon cards and
- 1:21:37Magic cards and they're probably worth like hundreds of thousands
- 1:21:41of dollars. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:21:42For sure. They became highly sought after
- 1:21:45collectibles. La Boo Boos were a storybook
- 1:21:47character born in Hong Kong. One moved to the Netherlands
- 1:21:50when he was 7, where he quickly fell in love with Nordic fairy
- 1:21:52tales, especially the ones about elves.
- 1:21:55Inspired by the folklore, he wants an illustration book
- 1:21:58called The Monsters in 2015, A playful trial of featuring a
- 1:22:04playful tribe of female elves known as La Boo Boos.
- 1:22:08That's why I wanted to create something that I've known
- 1:22:10existed in my heart. It's amazing that so many people
- 1:22:14love it. Yeah, Especially, like, 10 years
- 1:22:15later, people are riding near a La Boo Boo Dick.
- 1:22:19La Boo Boo's just. Cannot wait for that.
- 1:22:22La Boo Boo Dick kind of hearted and eager to help, though their
- 1:22:27good intentions can sometimes lead to chaos.
- 1:22:30According to Long, there are about 100 different la Boo boo's
- 1:22:33in the series. One of the stories involves
- 1:22:36around a involves a la Boo Boo, who's dating a shy skeleton
- 1:22:41named Ty Coco and often play fully teases him what became a
- 1:22:49global sensation. So awkward.
- 1:22:53Yeah, I mean long release artistic toy series inspired by
- 1:22:56the characters not long after it came out, but the toy collection
- 1:22:59did not 'cause a global K craze till he teamed up with Chinese
- 1:23:02toy Chinese toy Chinese toy company Pop Mart in 2019.
- 1:23:07According to Pop Mart, the revenue generated from the first
- 1:23:10Monsters series launch broke the record in the art toy category.
- 1:23:15Damn, they've been spotted on the bags of pop singers like Dua
- 1:23:19Lipa, Rihanna, Lisa and KK pop group Blackpink.
- 1:23:24But yeah, shout out BLACKPINK even though I like to shit on K
- 1:23:28pop just because I want them to come after us.
- 1:23:31But Blackpink is the real deal. The Boo boo's come in various.
- 1:23:35That's wild dude. This shit's stupid.
- 1:23:40The blind boxes. Is it new?
- 1:23:41It taps along the long standing fascination with mystery and
- 1:23:44chance. Like I said, think of the back
- 1:23:47of cereal box prizes, capsule toys from vending machines, or
- 1:23:50Chinese Japan's lucky bags which are sealed with random items as
- 1:23:55a way to get retailers to get rid of leftover stock.
- 1:23:58Even trading cards such as Pokémon Yu-gi-oh offer the same
- 1:24:02thrill. Think there's a lot where the
- 1:24:03popularity among among young adults or adults and young
- 1:24:08adults stems from childhood nostalgia, she said.
- 1:24:11It was like reconnecting with your inner child.
- 1:24:13I think play is critical for everyone of all ages.
- 1:24:18It helps us to engage with each other.
- 1:24:21It helps us in a way. It's cliche, but it helps us
- 1:24:24stay young, she said. I don't know, bro.
- 1:24:27I ain't by no goddamn la Boo Boo.
- 1:24:28Oh. Obviously, we are not.
- 1:24:34Like that's crazy. Who, dude?
- 1:24:37It's not that crazy shit. Coins exist.
- 1:24:41Beanie Babies exist. True Beanie Babies are wild.
- 1:24:45I remember that. That was insane.
- 1:24:46I have a Princess Diana bear. I was like everybody.
- 1:24:49Nothing about this is surprising to me.
- 1:24:52But those were kind of those, I guess it's kind of, it's
- 1:24:55definitely the same because that was bullshit.
- 1:24:57With the Pokémon stuff or the Beanie Baby stuff, you can have
- 1:25:00one and it's like, oh, but if you had the felt ears, it would
- 1:25:03be worth like $9000. So you're like, what?
- 1:25:06And this shit's been in my backpack.
- 1:25:08And then some people would bring that shit.
- 1:25:10And what was really goofy is the little plastic cover for the tag
- 1:25:14to keep the tag in pristine condition.
- 1:25:16There's people who had like every Beanie Baby.
- 1:25:18I was like bro, and I thought that was weird as shit.
- 1:25:21I still kind of. Do no, I still do too.
- 1:25:24I'm. So now you see the libooboo
- 1:25:26thing and it's the same thing. Yeah, it's exactly the same.
- 1:25:29But it but it's. But my point is it's, it's, it's
- 1:25:32just that it's not weird because you and I have witnessed this
- 1:25:37happen before. What's weird is whenever you see
- 1:25:40people that are like adults and they all they have like cabbage
- 1:25:44patch baby meet ups or all the like old like Gen.
- 1:25:47X and boomers bring their big meet.
- 1:25:48UPS. Yeah, you ever know, You've
- 1:25:50never seen those videos. And they'll all get together and
- 1:25:52they bring them and act like they're basically their kids.
- 1:25:55It's not no, I definitely have not seen that.
- 1:25:57It's fucking crazy. Might be in my porn search
- 1:26:01history now. Yeah, you just hope for it.
- 1:26:05You can then share it. Yeah.
- 1:26:08I mean, that was just, I just thought it was interesting that
- 1:26:10there's like this epidemic of people stealing la Boo boos in
- 1:26:14California, but then it's like, what the fuck's a la Boo Boo and
- 1:26:19why? Would you spend no clue why?
- 1:26:21Would you? Why would you spend 170 + K on a
- 1:26:26human size plushie? Oh, it's human size.
- 1:26:31Yeah, it was like a like a human size la Boo Boo.
- 1:26:33And it sold for almost 200 grand.
- 1:26:35Well, do you ever watch Dave like Lil Dicky show?
- 1:26:40Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:26:41Yeah, like he like fucks like like a fake human.
- 1:26:48I. Haven't seen that.
- 1:26:53One yeah, yeah, he does that. And so anyways, like it's like,
- 1:26:58I don't know, people are fucking weird dudes like.
- 1:27:02Someone's going to fuck that little Boo Boo dude.
- 1:27:03Somebody, somebody. And by somebody, I mean my
- 1:27:07brother was trying to tell me like that there's AI girls on
- 1:27:12only fans that people like subscribe to.
- 1:27:17And I was like, no, I was like, if your company is making an AI
- 1:27:26like female, why would they have to like Pimper out on only Fans
- 1:27:33and not just have you like directly come to their website?
- 1:27:36Like didn't make sense to me. Yeah, I guess the only fans
- 1:27:43would give it the illusion of like, not.
- 1:27:45Well what I guess what he was saying was that it's like it'll
- 1:27:49be a girl that's on only fans but then she'll do AI where it's
- 1:27:55like her but it's not her is what he was saying.
- 1:28:00But that's not what he said at 1st And I was like Nah dude like
- 1:28:03doesn't even make sense. Like if you're capable enough to
- 1:28:07make like an only fans woman who does like weird shit that people
- 1:28:13want to watch. Like fuck a little Boo Boo.
- 1:28:18Like why the fuck would you like have only fans as like your
- 1:28:21third, like you know, third party involved, Like you would
- 1:28:24just have them just buy the shit from you and you could figure
- 1:28:28that out. Yeah, I could see that.
- 1:28:34And the world is getting whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, weird.
- 1:28:40It's been weird, but it's getting too weird.
- 1:28:42Yeah, I agree. I I, I really, really thought
- 1:28:46that it was like oversold on how weird it was going to get.
- 1:28:52And now I'm now I'm concerned. I like we underestimated the
- 1:28:56weirdness. I did, I did.
- 1:28:59I don't know if I don't know if everybody did like, because
- 1:29:02there's people who think like AI is going to like kill like like
- 1:29:05humanity and I'm not there yet. It could.
- 1:29:10No, no, I'm not saying it. Couldn't it.
- 1:29:13Could want to. I'm not saying that it couldn't
- 1:29:17or it might not happen. What I'm saying is I doubted it.
- 1:29:23Remember I used to say like I thought AI was going to, like,
- 1:29:25eat itself. Yeah, like to me like that was
- 1:29:30more of a possibility than dudes getting only fan subscriptions
- 1:29:38to AI females. Like that's insane to me.
- 1:29:43An only fan subscription subscription is an insane to me
- 1:29:47in general. Facts.
- 1:29:51Big facts. Never understood that.
- 1:29:54It's wild. Yeah.
- 1:29:57Well, you got anything else today, man?
- 1:30:00I would like to say meditate bitches.
