- 0:19venture out into the last minute shopping chaos.
- 0:22And if you're all done, hopefully all your gifts are
- 0:25wrapped and ready to go so you aren't up late tonight wrapping
- 0:30presents. Anyways, today is National
- 0:33Eggnog Day, rich, creamy and traditional.
- 0:37Whether you spike it with rum or not, eggnog makes you feel
- 0:42warmer, cozier and at home, especially paired with some
- 0:46classic Christmas music. Which brings us to today's quote
- 0:49from actress Zoe Deschanel, who once said one thing I love about
- 0:56Christmas music is that it has a tradition of warmth.
- 1:01An eggnog has that same tradition.
- 1:04Not just the taste, but a feeling of warmth.
- 1:08The warmth isn't temperature, it's family connection,
- 1:11belonging. Traditions carry warmth forward,
- 1:14generation to generation. So today, honor the warmth.
- 1:19Make eggnog, St. Carol's, whatever tradition
- 1:22brings connection. And if you just don't like
- 1:25eggnog or never got into that tradition, substitute it with
- 1:29some hot chocolate, with or without the Bailey's Irish
