Off-Duty Cop Shoots Suspects in Robbery | Venice Beach News
An off-duty Long Beach cop was ambushed by two suspects near Bixby Road and Orange Avenue around 1:30 PM— one flashed what looked like a gun, the other attempted a robbery. The officer returned fire multiple times, unharmed, while the suspects fled. Police are still investigating whether shots hit the suspects, what was stolen, and are canvassing the area for witnesses.
