- Lucas: Luna, ready for another episode? I've been looking forward to this one. Luna: Yeah, me too! I think we're getting pretty good at this Telugu thing. Lucas: You are doing great. And today, we are going somewhere really useful — a bookstore. Luna: A bookstore? I love bookstores! What phrases will we learn? Lucas: First, let's learn how to ask where the book section is. In Telugu, 'Where is the book?' is 'పుస్తకం ఎక్కడ?' Listen: 'పుస్తకం ఎక్కడ?' Luna: పుస్తకం ఎక్కడ? That sounds like 'pustakam ekkada?' Lucas: Exactly. పుస్తకం is book, ఎక్కడ is where. Put them together: పుస్తకం ఎక్కడ? Luna: పుస్తకం ఎక్కడ? Okay, I've got that. Lucas: Good. Now, if you want to say 'I want a book', you say 'నాకు ఒక పుస్తకం కావాలి'. Let's break it: నాకు means 'to me' or 'I want', ఒక means 'one' or 'a', పుస్తకం is 'book', కావాలి means 'want'. That's a bit longer but I think I can say it. Lucas: Perfect. Now, when you find a book you like, you'll want to ask 'How much is this book?' That's 'ఈ పుస్తకం ఎంత?' ఈ means 'this', పుస్తకం is 'book', ఎంత means 'how much'. Luna: ఈ పుస్తకం ఎంత? So 'ee pustakam entha?' Lucas: Right. And finally, when you decide to buy it, you say 'నేను ఈ పుస్తకం తీసుకుంటాను' — 'I will take this book'. నేను means 'I', ఈ పుస్తకం is 'this book', తీసుకుంటాను means 'will take'. That's a mouthful! Lucas: You said it well. Now let's put it all together in a little scene. Imagine you walk into a bookstore. You go to the counter and say... Lucas: The shopkeeper points to a shelf. You pick one up and ask... Luna: ఈ పుస్తకం ఎంత? Lucas: He says '200 rupees'. You decide to buy it and say... Lucas: Excellent! You just bought a book in Telugu. Luna: That felt really natural. I can imagine doing that for real. Lucas: And that's the goal — to make these phrases feel like second nature. Before we wrap up, let's do a quick review. Repeat after me: పుస్తకం ఎక్కడ? Lucas: You've got it. And you know, if Fexingo has been helping you make real progress with Telugu, consider supporting the show. A couple of dollars a month genuinely keeps these episodes coming — buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo. Luna: Yeah, even a small contribution makes a big difference. We love making these for you. Lucas: Alright, now back to our phrases. One more time, all together: imagine you're at the bookstore. Ready? Luna: Ready. Lucas: Beautiful. You're ready for your bookstore adventure. Keep practicing these, and see you next time!
