Luna: Oh, the post office. I actually need to send a letter to my friend in Norway. Lucas: Perfect. So let's start there. 'Jeg må sende et brev.' Say it with me: Jeg må sende et brev. Luna: Jeg må sende et brev. Lucas: That means 'I need to send a letter.' Good. Luna: Jeg må sende et brev. So 'brev' is letter? Lucas: Exactly. And 'sende' is to send. You already know 'må' from earlier episodes — must or need to. Luna: Right. Jeg må sende et brev. Lucas: Now, if you want to buy a stamp, you say: 'Jeg vil kjøpe et frimerke.' Try it. Luna: Jeg vil kjøpe et frimerke. That's 'I want to buy a stamp'? Lucas: Yes. 'Frimerke' is stamp. 'Jeg vil kjøpe' — I want to buy. Luna: Jeg vil kjøpe et frimerke. Good. Lucas: And if you're sending a package, you might ask: 'Hvor mye koster det å sende en pakke?' Repeat after me. Luna: Hvor mye koster det å sende en pakke? Lucas: That's 'How much does it cost to send a package?' 'Pakke' is package. Luna: Hvor mye koster det å sende en pakke? Great. And what if I'm sending it abroad? Lucas: Then you can say 'til utlandet.' Listen: til utlandet. Luna: Til utlandet. So 'to abroad' basically. Lucas: Right. And you might ask: 'Kan jeg sende dette med flypost?' — Can I send this by airmail? Luna: Kan jeg sende dette med flypost? Lucas: Yes. 'Flypost' is airmail. Luna: Kan jeg sende dette med flypost? That's a handful. Lucas: You'll get it. Let's put it all together. Imagine you're at the post office counter. Luna: Okay, I'll start. 'Hei, jeg må sende et brev til utlandet.' Lucas: Nice! Then the clerk asks if you need a stamp. Luna: Yes, so I say 'Jeg vil kjøpe et frimerke.' Lucas: And then you ask about the price for a package. Luna: Right. 'Hvor mye koster det å sende en pakke til utlandet?' Lucas: Perfect. And if you want it faster, you add 'Kan jeg sende dette med flypost?' Luna: Kan jeg sende dette med flypost?
