- 0:14Speaker 1: have fun and just ask God for another You already
- 0:18Speaker 1: know what it is and then you know it's about
- 0:21Speaker 1: to get real. So be sure to show your girl
- 0:24Speaker 1: the love and like, come in.
- 0:27Speaker 2: God for another day. Hey, hey, I know we could
- 0:33Speaker 2: be another way.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Hey, we need to take this off the holder.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Because when I was listening back you could hear, but
- 0:42Speaker 1: you can also hear a lot of the backgrounds.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Just to make sure you know.
- 0:46Speaker 1: So just yes, that is yo, yo. Yo is a girl,
- 0:49Speaker 1: Jessica as Smith, and I am here with my girl.
- 1:00Speaker 1: If you don't know where you have entered, you enter
- 1:03Speaker 1: the safe space for where influencers decompressed, have fun and
- 1:06Speaker 1: guess what just just oh, I mean spirit.
- 1:13Speaker 4: That was y'all.
- 1:15Speaker 1: I'm in a sinking spirit because we we have we're
- 1:18Speaker 1: in a space. It's live in here to y'all. I
- 1:20Speaker 1: hear a lot of extra it is it.
- 1:25Speaker 3: It's our first.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Time doing a live on location location. Were at the
- 1:32Speaker 1: location is the location desil Ray. We in Georgia at
- 1:36Speaker 1: the State Farm Arena for woman Evon yes, yes, yes,
- 1:43Speaker 1: So we are honored that they gave us some credention.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Man, we had we had press passes, y'all.
- 1:48Speaker 1: We was pressed.
- 1:49Speaker 3: So we we ain't just attendees.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Look, we attended, We attended, but we attended on the
- 1:53Speaker 1: other end as we pressed out waiting.
- 1:56Speaker 3: I like that.
- 1:57Speaker 1: You ain't see the little boy doing that brush your
- 2:02Speaker 1: He pressed his way to the convocation. We pressed our
- 2:06Speaker 1: way to Woman Evolve, hosted by the wonderful Sarah Jakes Roberts. Listen,
- 2:11Speaker 1: don't she bums down every time? Man, Listen. It's the
- 2:14Speaker 1: it's the outfit changes and it had changes. But I
- 2:17Speaker 1: think her hosts changed wigs.
- 2:21Speaker 3: She did. She changed about two three times today and
- 2:25Speaker 3: the house she.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Had a short wig, a long within down alarund about everything.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I got it going. But listen to you, guys. We
- 2:34Speaker 1: know that we're not in our normal atmosphere, but we're
- 2:36Speaker 1: in the space that we're supposed to be. And so
- 2:38Speaker 1: you know, we do not go anywhere without doing a
- 2:40Speaker 1: community highlight. And that's the way. I think it's only
- 2:44Speaker 1: befitting to shout out the ladies that decided to race
- 2:48Speaker 1: the freedom this week. This weekend has been so phenomenal.
- 2:52Speaker 1: So if you were here at Woman Evolved, we want
- 2:54Speaker 1: to see, uh, connect with you, talk to you, see
- 2:57Speaker 1: how you you enjoyed your just knowing the comments if
- 2:59Speaker 1: you if you attend it, yes, because we want to
- 3:02Speaker 1: know and we want to follow you back, like follow
- 3:04Speaker 1: us and we're gonna follow you back because we ain't.
- 3:06Speaker 1: We ain't bougie like that. We we ain't.
- 3:09Speaker 3: We ain't holding the love.
- 3:10Speaker 1: But shout out to the women that chose to invest
- 3:12Speaker 1: in themselves in this weekend.
- 3:15Speaker 3: This was does a race first, this is my first time.
- 3:17Speaker 1: This first time, how did you enjoy it? So as
- 3:20Speaker 1: an introverted person, this is just from my point of view,
- 3:23Speaker 1: I am glad I was pressed because I mean I
- 3:26Speaker 1: get to stay in the background, you know what I'm saying.
- 3:28Speaker 3: But that also gave us the opportunity to enter into
- 3:31Speaker 3: the space.
- 3:32Speaker 1: And so it's it's a lot of women here, like
- 3:35Speaker 1: over how many twenty three three thousand women? Over twenty
- 3:39Speaker 1: three thousands? This event sold out last year. Last year
- 3:43Speaker 1: at the event. Okay, so my introvert itself was like,
- 3:47Speaker 1: oh my gosh, it's so many women here. But I
- 3:50Speaker 1: just remember standing the I think it was Friday night.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I remember standing there, was getting ready to leave, yeah,
- 3:56Speaker 1: and the spirit was high, and I just remember stay
- 4:00Speaker 1: and just looking around, like at all the women and
- 4:02Speaker 1: apparently this is only half of what was there the
- 4:04Speaker 1: year before, right, like a little bit underhlf to be honest,
- 4:08Speaker 1: because the baseball field the first year it sold out,
- 4:12Speaker 1: it was over forty thousand women, over forty thousand justice.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Just to be in that space, and I was just
- 4:18Speaker 1: in a moment of like awe of like the glory
- 4:21Speaker 1: of the Lord. But also I was I was really
- 4:24Speaker 1: thinking about and praying for Pastor Sarah, Yeah, because just
- 4:27Speaker 1: to stand there and just imagine the weight that she
- 4:30Speaker 1: feels carrying this mantle of not only woman evolved, but
- 4:34Speaker 1: also now stepping into the role of being a pastor
- 4:37Speaker 1: over a mega over a big church and a ladacy.
- 4:39Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I'm just like, Wow, Lord, like the love and to me,
- 4:43Speaker 1: that's love, right, because that just shows that the Lord
- 4:46Speaker 1: really trusts her, yeah, with his people, with his sheep.
- 4:49Speaker 1: And these women came houngry man and every speaker was amazing,
- 4:54Speaker 1: like the race to freedom, Like if you didn't leave,
- 4:57Speaker 1: if you didn't leave here free.
- 4:59Speaker 3: It was because you chose not.
- 5:00Speaker 1: To leave her bread and it's on big Grit. That's
- 5:02Speaker 1: as our brother said, as Trisian McFarland say, that's on
- 5:07Speaker 1: big Grit. Listen, I agree with you, like I think
- 5:12Speaker 1: this year was different for me. If you don't know,
- 5:14Speaker 1: I've been the woman involved the past two years and
- 5:17Speaker 1: I served for on the press team, so I served
- 5:20Speaker 1: as a volunteer for to pick the space that I'm
- 5:23Speaker 1: in right now, which I consider a blessing and walking
- 5:27Speaker 1: in you guys, I don't know. I don't know what
- 5:30Speaker 1: I thought I expected, but I didn't expect. I don't
- 5:33Speaker 1: know if I knew I was loved so much. Like
- 5:36Speaker 1: Deseil Ray and Liz shout out to our sister, listen,
- 5:38Speaker 1: she's not here yet. She's she's on the media in
- 5:42Speaker 1: the media department as well. But she was saying to
- 5:46Speaker 1: desel Ray, she was like, no, just to do know
- 5:49Speaker 1: everybody knew, but I didn't know. I didn't know who
- 5:52Speaker 1: I knew. I didn't know who was keeping up with me.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Because the enemy of trying to trick you in your
- 5:56Speaker 1: mind to say, like the enemy will try to really
- 5:58Speaker 1: make you think that you're not love. Yeah, but it's
- 6:02Speaker 1: it's a suggestion. It's like, do people really like you?
- 6:05Speaker 1: Do they really love you? Do they really mean what
- 6:07Speaker 1: they say about you? And the truth is like God
- 6:09Speaker 1: has really placed people in our spaces and on our
- 6:12Speaker 1: path to really show show us Him and in a
- 6:15Speaker 1: human form, you know what I'm saying. And if we
- 6:17Speaker 1: just believe the life we take it, well, think that
- 6:19Speaker 1: nobody like us. But just go walk into space and
- 6:21Speaker 1: people was like, oh Jessica, Like what's that? Good to
- 6:24Speaker 1: see you? It's like, oh, she just lever. I was surprised.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I was surprised. And then people were like, oh, you're
- 6:31Speaker 1: so humble and da da da da. And I'm like,
- 6:33Speaker 1: but why not? Like I don't in my mind, if
- 6:36Speaker 1: y'all walk up to me, just be just for one,
- 6:38Speaker 1: be gentle, be gentle, don't be rough for me gentle,
- 6:43Speaker 1: but I'm gonna speak back. I'm just like, oh, my gosh,
- 6:45Speaker 1: that's Keana, my girl Keana. Like I won't say that
- 6:49Speaker 1: yet but will now say it later. But my girl Keana.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I don't know if y'all follow me, but last year
- 6:54Speaker 1: at I met her at Target and she talked to me.
- 6:59Speaker 1: She's spoke to me, and she was like what are
- 7:01Speaker 1: you doing here? You live in Alabama.
- 7:03Speaker 3: I was like, who is she talking to?
- 7:05Speaker 1: I would have never known. She was my first person
- 7:08Speaker 1: that would looked at me. I didn't know who had
- 7:10Speaker 1: heard from a canapaign, but she knew me. And now
- 7:13Speaker 1: she's not only a part of the community, but she's
- 7:16Speaker 1: helping us grow the community outside of just this podcast.
- 7:20Speaker 1: And so I'm excited to meet you guys. I'm excited
- 7:24Speaker 1: to just do this.
- 7:26Speaker 2: You know.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I walked in here not expecting anything but to just
- 7:30Speaker 1: get not just get content, but the the tools and
- 7:36Speaker 1: strategies to remain free. Because if you watched last week,
- 7:39Speaker 1: you saw that and heard that I came out abundane
- 7:44Speaker 1: and stopped doing relationship. Come on now, and I'm not
- 7:48Speaker 1: ashamed to tell my testimony. I'm not gonna say it
- 7:51Speaker 1: right now because you should go look at the episode
- 7:54Speaker 1: because the episode was rich. It was rich, and so
- 7:58Speaker 1: to come here and not really no forget that this
- 8:03Speaker 1: was the race of freedom God was. I just feel
- 8:06Speaker 1: like God is very tuned into us being free as
- 8:10Speaker 1: a community. Yeah, as you were talking about, you know,
- 8:14Speaker 1: meeting Keana, what came up was the importance of really
- 8:19Speaker 1: being obedient and just going like even going into unknown, right,
- 8:22Speaker 1: you didn't know, like why the Lord would have you
- 8:25Speaker 1: start a podcast as a branch manager working for enterprise.
- 8:29Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, This doesn't.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Make sense, right, But it's always going to be so
- 8:33Speaker 1: much bigger than the moment, and it's always going to
- 8:35Speaker 1: be so much bigger than the limitations that we believe
- 8:37Speaker 1: about ourselves, you know what I'm saying, Like we had
- 8:39Speaker 1: some I remember reading a comment from a young lady
- 8:42Speaker 1: that's in Virginia that has genuinely been listening and gleaning
- 8:47Speaker 1: and learning, and honestly, I ain't nobody, you know what
- 8:50Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like I look at myself, not like I
- 8:52Speaker 1: ain't nobody.
- 8:53Speaker 3: But I'm just saying, like who am I?
- 8:55Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, But just to see, like
- 8:57Speaker 1: the magnitude that our voices are reaching not because it's us,
- 9:02Speaker 1: It's because the Lord that already had a plan. There's
- 9:04Speaker 1: already people that are attached to your voice. There's already
- 9:06Speaker 1: people that are attached to the thing that God has
- 9:08Speaker 1: caused you to do.
- 9:09Speaker 3: And if you're not.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Obedient in that, we can't keep complaining about resources. We
- 9:13Speaker 1: can't keep complaining about finances. We can't keep complaining about
- 9:16Speaker 1: not having the help if we have not hit go yet.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Come on now, as soon as we hit go, like
- 9:20Speaker 1: the race, the race, the journey is already out there.
- 9:23Speaker 1: You don't go, you gotta get You cannot race if
- 9:28Speaker 1: you have no movement. You have to get up, plant
- 9:33Speaker 1: your feet and move forward. Oh oh, and this is
- 9:36Speaker 1: what I love. I've never ran a marathon. Come on now,
- 9:38Speaker 1: I fee little annoying and coming. I've never ran a marathon.
- 9:41Speaker 1: I've seen them right, and let's say it's like a
- 9:43Speaker 1: you know, they got five k's and twenty k's, right,
- 9:46Speaker 1: so after you start, they have checkpoints all along the way.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Right at these checkpoints you can get water, you can
- 9:52Speaker 1: get the things that you need to help you continue
- 9:54Speaker 1: on to the rest of the race. So that's just
- 9:56Speaker 1: like life, like we have to go and along the
- 9:58Speaker 1: way like God has already had the checkpoints, He already
- 10:00Speaker 1: has the people, he already has the resources that are
- 10:03Speaker 1: already in place for us to continue to walk out
- 10:05Speaker 1: the standing. He's already getting us. Yeah, I think that's
- 10:08Speaker 1: so good. And even y'all come over here, y'all come
- 10:11Speaker 1: over here, hey, let them excuse me I'm sorry, this
- 10:14Speaker 1: is a little ghetto.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Excuse me.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Let them all. We rerecording live though I have not
- 10:21Speaker 1: seen you, y'all. This is my family, y'all. And that's fine, y'all.
- 10:26Speaker 1: We all okay a.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Little different, but this my family has come around.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Just come around this week, y'all. This is my family, y'all.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I' gonna introduce y'all. But no, you remember the times
- 10:37Speaker 1: where they had the baton. Yeah, they had the baton
- 10:39Speaker 1: and at one point they were dancing, and at one
- 10:42Speaker 1: point they were giving away the batons and everybody had
- 10:46Speaker 1: their turn to hold their baton, but the last person
- 10:49Speaker 1: had to wait until their perton was in their hand
- 10:52Speaker 1: and they were holding theirs. Sometimes we don't go because
- 10:56Speaker 1: we always feel like we have to share.
- 10:58Speaker 3: What we're giving.
- 10:59Speaker 1: But at some point, you're gonna get to hold the
- 11:02Speaker 1: thing that God has given you, and you're gonna be
- 11:04Speaker 1: able to run and not get rivered. You're gonna able
- 11:07Speaker 1: to walk and not faint because it's your turn. I
- 11:10Speaker 1: don't know who this is spared us, but it is
- 11:12Speaker 1: your turn to not only hope your patn but to
- 11:16Speaker 1: go with your pa ton because in the actual race,
- 11:19Speaker 1: when you're thinking about track and running and stuff like that.
- 11:22Speaker 1: It's always somebody else's patime. But when you it's your
- 11:25Speaker 1: turn turn to run, you have to go because you
- 11:28Speaker 1: got a job to do. Like we all as a
- 11:30Speaker 1: body of believers, we all have a particular job to do.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I ran I remember in college, I ran the four
- 11:35Speaker 1: by one right, So that's a straightaway, a curve, a
- 11:38Speaker 1: straightaway in another curve right. So there's four of us,
- 11:41Speaker 1: and each one of us had a part on the
- 11:43Speaker 1: track to run, right. So when it was my turn,
- 11:46Speaker 1: my job I ran a curve, you know, leaning on
- 11:48Speaker 1: this side. I ran that second leg curve, and my
- 11:52Speaker 1: job was to get from that straight point around to
- 11:54Speaker 1: the other curve.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Yeah, and to be able to pass the baton off. Yeah.
- 11:57Speaker 3: If I dropped the baton, guess.
- 11:59Speaker 1: What, our team is just qualifized. Now I don't know
- 12:03Speaker 1: that sport, but no, but it's true. If you drop
- 12:05Speaker 1: the baton, your team is disqualified. So in that moment,
- 12:09Speaker 1: you just have to do I know, I know sometimes
- 12:11Speaker 1: you're like, oh lord, I don't know, like I don't
- 12:14Speaker 1: know if I can do this? Why meet all these things?
- 12:16Speaker 1: But the Bible says that Jeremiah twenty nine to eleven
- 12:20Speaker 1: before I know the plans that I have for you,
- 12:22Speaker 1: said the Lord. Their plans to prossip you, to give
- 12:24Speaker 1: you hope in the future, and they're not to harm you.
- 12:25Speaker 3: So if he.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Already knows your future, right, I keep thinking about it.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I'm like, we be so scared to go. So we
- 12:34Speaker 1: be so scared to go? Says that he already has
- 12:37Speaker 1: a plan for us. That means he already knows the outcome. Yeah,
- 12:40Speaker 1: all we have to do is continue to walk the
- 12:42Speaker 1: plan until keep leaning into him. We can't do it
- 12:44Speaker 1: on our own. We have to lean into him for
- 12:46Speaker 1: the directions for the plan. And that's so good because
- 12:49Speaker 1: it goes back to what we said last week that
- 12:51Speaker 1: we don't own our freedom. God owns our freedom. That
- 12:55Speaker 1: we steward our freedom. And when you run like you're
- 12:58Speaker 1: managing versus ownership, when you run in the freedom of stewardship,
- 13:02Speaker 1: that is freedom and stewardship. That was some trip Fontaine,
- 13:08Speaker 1: because I always said, almost said fortune trip Fontaine, shout
- 13:14Speaker 1: out to you, my brother.
- 13:15Speaker 3: We did.
- 13:15Speaker 1: We did an interview with him, but it was a
- 13:17Speaker 1: lineup of press and we just listened to his answers
- 13:20Speaker 1: and one of the things that he brought up was
- 13:23Speaker 1: that he's learned how to allow God to be God
- 13:26Speaker 1: and allow him to do it in the mess, the
- 13:29Speaker 1: missingness that he is because he understands that God has authority,
- 13:33Speaker 1: that God has given him the permission to to to
- 13:37Speaker 1: do it in failure like to fail and he said
- 13:40Speaker 1: he has to trust God to just basically gather him
- 13:43Speaker 1: and keep him in perfect peace. We don't allow God
- 13:46Speaker 1: to do his job. That's why we don't get to
- 13:48Speaker 1: experience the freedom that God owns. Because the question was
- 13:52Speaker 1: I think he was getting a little irritated with I
- 13:54Speaker 1: think he gets irritated when people make the.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Comment of how strong he is. That's what it came from.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Honestly, I'm not strong and I don't want to be
- 14:01Speaker 1: strong because in my weakness, that's when the Lord is
- 14:04Speaker 1: able to show her if we're strong, like, where's there
- 14:07Speaker 1: place for God to move and to do his cho
- 14:08Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying?
- 14:09Speaker 3: And I was, I was chucking a little bit. I
- 14:10Speaker 3: was like, Oh, you don't like that, you don't like.
- 14:12Speaker 1: No, he was very pad he was too. It was
- 14:14Speaker 1: two things he was passionate about. That's being strong, but
- 14:18Speaker 1: also them kids. Was the kids. And one of the
- 14:21Speaker 1: things that the young lady brought up last night, I
- 14:25Speaker 1: think it was Bishop Chaelle or Bishop Sho Well, she
- 14:30Speaker 1: was old, ancient oil, she said. She looked ancient like
- 14:37Speaker 1: wisdom like you from the Yeah, she said, in that
- 14:40Speaker 1: drank water, she said, yeah, yeah. One of the things
- 14:44Speaker 1: she brought up to to I remember is is that
- 14:47Speaker 1: there were three generations here her generation, our generation, and
- 14:51Speaker 1: the direct generation of girl evolved. And why it's so
- 14:54Speaker 1: important for us to be in one room and for
- 14:57Speaker 1: a trip to have so much passion for the X generation.
- 15:01Speaker 1: You gotta know how to manage your freedom so you
- 15:03Speaker 1: can teach your children's children how to manage their freedom.
- 15:06Speaker 1: At one point, our ancestors was fighting for something that
- 15:09Speaker 1: was rightfully theirs. Right, we ain't fighting You're fighting yourself
- 15:13Speaker 1: at this point. And so now when we when our
- 15:16Speaker 1: children don't experience experience us being free, then that limits
- 15:23Speaker 1: them from being further along in their freedom. Because you
- 15:27Speaker 1: decided not to actively activate your freedom, You decided not
- 15:30Speaker 1: to properly manage your freedom. You decided to limit yourself
- 15:35Speaker 1: in your freedom. That's good. I think we're going to
- 15:37Speaker 1: take a small break right here We're gonna get some
- 15:39Speaker 1: opinions from some of the leaders that has attended the conference. Y'ah,
- 15:42Speaker 1: come on, come on, in, come on, come on, in.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Come on, come on, come on. Andy.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Y'all know, yes, no speak speak to the people, speak
- 15:55Speaker 1: to them. Okay, So y'all always hear me talk about Jesus.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Remember we were recording now okay, well remember let me
- 16:03Speaker 1: off shell the mike. Y'all. Always you can sign any
- 16:10Speaker 1: consent right now, y'all always hear me talk about my
- 16:14Speaker 1: sister Stacy. I've been trying to get her on this
- 16:17Speaker 1: side of the camera for a minute. If I not
- 16:21Speaker 1: come yeah, she and she here, she's present. And this
- 16:25Speaker 1: is my mother, my other mother, Mama Doss. Because so
- 16:29Speaker 1: this is Stacy and this is mother dos So she
- 16:33Speaker 1: does she look seventy.
- 16:35Speaker 3: This is seventy. She is fine.
- 16:37Speaker 1: We had a we had a good time. We had
- 16:39Speaker 1: a good mama. Make sure you pull push the micaelup
- 16:42Speaker 1: just a little bit. Okay, So, Mama, I want to
- 16:44Speaker 1: hear about your experience. You've come every year in the
- 16:47Speaker 1: past three years. How have you been enjoying woman.
- 16:50Speaker 5: It's been an amazing experience.
- 16:53Speaker 4: You know, at seventy you still have a desire to
- 16:57Speaker 4: learn and get closer to God and strip what you
- 17:01Speaker 4: thought may have been to learn something new and just
- 17:06Speaker 4: make yourself available to grow and teach and learn and share.
- 17:12Speaker 4: You know, all of that, you know, you get all
- 17:14Speaker 4: of that here.
- 17:14Speaker 5: Plus more, plus more, plus more, plus more.
- 17:17Speaker 1: I'm interested in knowing what you thought about doctor Phillips's
- 17:22Speaker 1: speech yesterday, her topic on grief. I thought about y'all
- 17:27Speaker 1: when we were talking about that, because y'all have been
- 17:29Speaker 1: through some things the past several years. What did that
- 17:33Speaker 1: do for you? When she talked about freedom and grief, It's.
- 17:36Speaker 4: Just confirmed what I had already came walked into myself,
- 17:42Speaker 4: because the world allows you to grieve in different ways,
- 17:46Speaker 4: and just knowing that it's okay to grieve, you can't
- 17:50Speaker 4: cut it off.
- 17:51Speaker 5: I mean, you can cut it off and cut it off,
- 17:52Speaker 5: but it's always there.
- 17:53Speaker 3: Yeah, you know.
- 17:54Speaker 4: It could be a song, it could be a picture,
- 17:57Speaker 4: it could be an image of something that's gonna remind
- 17:59Speaker 4: you of that person that's no longer here, but you
- 18:03Speaker 4: rejoice that they're up there because that's a role that
- 18:07Speaker 4: we all have to take. And you know, when you
- 18:10Speaker 4: know what the word of God say about dying, you know,
- 18:14Speaker 4: to be absent here to be present with him.
- 18:16Speaker 5: And who would want that loved person that.
- 18:18Speaker 4: You love to be present with the Lord and know
- 18:21Speaker 4: they're up there just cheering you on, and you get
- 18:24Speaker 4: another chance to get it right so you can join
- 18:28Speaker 4: that person in here.
- 18:29Speaker 5: Because I've lost.
- 18:30Speaker 4: A sister, my grandmother, my grand my grandmother and my grandfather,
- 18:35Speaker 4: my husband and my mother, and they're different. You know,
- 18:39Speaker 4: it's a different grief when you lose a parent. It's
- 18:43Speaker 4: a different grief process when you lose a sister or
- 18:46Speaker 4: a sibling, and it's a different process when you lose
- 18:51Speaker 4: your spouse.
- 18:52Speaker 3: You know.
- 18:52Speaker 5: So they're all different.
- 18:54Speaker 4: You know, because I saw my father lose my mom,
- 18:58Speaker 4: his wife, my mom.
- 19:01Speaker 5: Almost sixty seven years of marriage. And but I order
- 19:07Speaker 5: how he grieved her still with joy.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Yeah you know, you he missed the memories, but the
- 19:15Speaker 4: joy I see him because she still have grandkids in
- 19:18Speaker 4: life and to share his love for mankind and for
- 19:23Speaker 4: the love of God. So I order to see how
- 19:26Speaker 4: he more my mom, and it helped me to more
- 19:30Speaker 4: my hustan.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, because you because being able being an actual
- 19:36Speaker 1: weakness to how y'all choose to love y'all. This is
- 19:39Speaker 1: probably the most loving family I've been around with y'all.
- 19:43Speaker 1: I tell y'all this quick story. I had Christmas one
- 19:46Speaker 1: Christmas my family. I don't know what my family was doing,
- 19:48Speaker 1: but my girl Stacey invited me, and she ain't tell
- 19:51Speaker 1: me that they do gift squaps and stuff. So I
- 19:54Speaker 1: just start would come and eating fellowship and this one
- 19:56Speaker 1: of my first time fellowship with him and baby. I
- 19:59Speaker 1: was crying so hard they had gifts for me. I
- 20:02Speaker 1: didn't know. I was like, this, what did you tell me?
- 20:05Speaker 1: She was just like, I just wanted you to learn
- 20:06Speaker 1: how to receive, and so I want I want you
- 20:09Speaker 1: to lean into that.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Stacey.
- 20:12Speaker 1: I know I get on your nerves and I'm finna
- 20:13Speaker 1: get on your nerves some more. Mama, pants and pants
- 20:15Speaker 1: are like the Stacey. How has your experienced been here?
- 20:18Speaker 1: Woman evolved?
- 20:20Speaker 6: Actually, I'm not a comforts person at all, and so
- 20:23Speaker 6: my first year coming to a woman involved really opened
- 20:25Speaker 6: me up to some areas I didn't even think that
- 20:28Speaker 6: needed to be tapped into first of all.
- 20:30Speaker 3: So the experience is being great.
- 20:32Speaker 6: Each year you get something different, you experienced something different,
- 20:35Speaker 6: you meet new people to hear their law, walks to
- 20:37Speaker 6: hear kind of where they are on their journey. So
- 20:40Speaker 6: I just like the fellowship most of all. The speakers
- 20:42Speaker 6: have been great, the worship has been great, the Word
- 20:45Speaker 6: has been great. But I think I've been really being
- 20:46Speaker 6: enjoyed and I really haven't enjoyed the fellowship most of all.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Yeah, because the Stacey, for one, she the Queen of Birmingham,
- 20:53Speaker 1: and she knows everybody, so when she comes out of
- 20:55Speaker 1: state and then she still know people's and.
- 20:58Speaker 6: I have ran into a couple of people that I'm like, wait,
- 21:00Speaker 6: hold on, So yes, I have ran to a couple
- 21:02Speaker 6: of people that I've known here.
- 21:03Speaker 1: So which session has spoken to you the most? I
- 21:08Speaker 1: don't know if I can be a point.
- 21:09Speaker 6: One session last night was amazing, So I don't know.
- 21:13Speaker 6: I think I get something different out of each session.
- 21:15Speaker 6: I sat in on the podcast kind of Sessions yesterday
- 21:18Speaker 6: where they were speaking about women knowing how to take
- 21:23Speaker 6: care of themselves. I am a brisk cancer survivor, so
- 21:25Speaker 6: they spoke on early detection, on knowing how to listen
- 21:29Speaker 6: to your body and being tested and if you go
- 21:31Speaker 6: to one doctor and they don't give you what you need,
- 21:33Speaker 6: advocating for yourself to kind of go and get the
- 21:36Speaker 6: answers you need from other places.
- 21:37Speaker 1: So that was interesting.
- 21:38Speaker 6: Then also just being in the atmosphere just seeing lives
- 21:41Speaker 6: being transformed. It's always exciting for me to see just
- 21:45Speaker 6: women just coming into just new seasons of their life. So,
- 21:48Speaker 6: I don't know there's been a favorite. I've just enjoyed
- 21:50Speaker 6: everything's thus far.
- 21:52Speaker 1: You know, my favorite for both of us because I
- 21:54Speaker 1: know the season. You already know what.
- 21:57Speaker 3: I know the.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Season that we've both been in, and I can't who
- 22:00Speaker 1: was that that was talking about praying basically praying without.
- 22:04Speaker 6: Correct and going back and asking God again.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Yeah, that was really good.
- 22:07Speaker 6: So she and I were tax some kind of points
- 22:10Speaker 6: like did you hit his?
- 22:11Speaker 3: Did you hit this? You hit his? So that was
- 22:12Speaker 3: really good.
- 22:13Speaker 1: And then to hear it tied in again.
- 22:15Speaker 6: It was like basically asking again, going back and just
- 22:20Speaker 6: reminding God of the promises that he made to you.
- 22:22Speaker 3: And sometimes it doesn't.
- 22:23Speaker 6: Look like the way that we wanted to look, but
- 22:24Speaker 6: it's okay to go back and kind of asking again
- 22:27Speaker 6: and remind him again and going through that process.
- 22:29Speaker 1: So that's been interesting as well. Man, Mama dass, I
- 22:32Speaker 1: got to ask you this with you being a beautiful seventy,
- 22:38Speaker 1: a beautiful setding when you'll tell you fine, you fine girl,
- 22:42Speaker 1: you fine. I wonder to give Mama the monkey. I
- 22:50Speaker 1: wonder what it looks the race looked to freedom looks
- 22:53Speaker 1: like for you at this age.
- 22:55Speaker 4: At this age, freedom for me is only how to
- 23:01Speaker 4: get up every morning and choosing to have a good day.
- 23:07Speaker 5: It's a choice, no matter.
- 23:09Speaker 4: What it is, no matter where you go, I get
- 23:13Speaker 4: to choose. If I'm allowed the lady at Walmart to
- 23:17Speaker 4: get on my nerve or the man at the service station,
- 23:21Speaker 4: I get to choose.
- 23:23Speaker 5: So that's what freedom looks like, no worries.
- 23:26Speaker 4: If I come across anybody having a bad day, I'm
- 23:30Speaker 4: gonna let you have that, and I'm gonna go on
- 23:32Speaker 4: with my happy self, your happineslf with my happy saf
- 23:35Speaker 4: because God has been too good to me to allow
- 23:39Speaker 4: someone to come and snatch my joy. Because here's my joy,
- 23:44Speaker 4: and I can only give it to you if I
- 23:46Speaker 4: allow you to come take it. So life for me
- 23:49Speaker 4: is about it's just choosing to stay happy no matter what,
- 23:52Speaker 4: no matter what it looks like, no matter what it
- 23:54Speaker 4: tastes like, no matter what it feels.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Like, you still I still to choose. I still choose
- 24:00Speaker 1: to have jow Man.
- 24:01Speaker 3: That's so good.
- 24:02Speaker 1: It reminds me of the song for this year, for
- 24:04Speaker 1: the anthem for a Woman Involved twenty five. Listen, we're
- 24:07Speaker 1: gonna have to link that. We had to link that
- 24:09Speaker 1: because it's such a powerful song. It says He's given
- 24:12Speaker 1: me authority, yes, to push back the enemy, to push back,
- 24:17Speaker 1: to fight from my victory. And I think that part
- 24:20Speaker 1: is what gets me. And then you got it's about
- 24:23Speaker 1: time I use it like I'm fighting not for my victory,
- 24:28Speaker 1: but from a place of victory because God already won
- 24:31Speaker 1: that for me. You know what I'm saying that song
- 24:33Speaker 1: bus down, Stacey, got a whole library of songs it
- 24:40Speaker 1: should be trying to send folks, and you need to
- 24:42Speaker 1: be sending that one out. So Stacey, leaving the conference,
- 24:46Speaker 1: what are you expecting from your role or your race
- 24:50Speaker 1: to freedom?
- 24:53Speaker 3: Let's see, how would.
- 24:54Speaker 1: I sum that just I just want the people to
- 24:58Speaker 1: hear you if I had to summon up just the unknown,
- 25:04Speaker 1: just allowing God to do what he's gonna.
- 25:06Speaker 6: Do next to the release for me, because I like
- 25:09Speaker 6: to kind of know what's gonna happen next. So the
- 25:12Speaker 6: release of just letting him God and whatever that looks like,
- 25:17Speaker 6: just being able to yield to just whatever he takes
- 25:20Speaker 6: me in or the direction he takes me in next.
- 25:22Speaker 6: I'm excited for that. Just tapping into just what's next,
- 25:26Speaker 6: Just what's what's next. I feel like you're lighter like.
- 25:32Speaker 6: I feel like you're lighter like just being here.
- 25:35Speaker 1: I feel like I'm like, yes, you know, maybe it's
- 25:38Speaker 1: me feeling both of us, you know, and it is.
- 25:40Speaker 6: Because you know, you come in with kind of expectations.
- 25:44Speaker 6: You don't know what's gonna happen, you don't know what
- 25:46Speaker 6: the shift is because you do have expectations of Okay,
- 25:48Speaker 6: I'm ready for the next level. But just those keys
- 25:51Speaker 6: about being able to ask again, go back, ask again,
- 25:55Speaker 6: go back, that was really freeing for me because it's
- 25:57Speaker 6: like you hear those promises and then it's like, okay,
- 26:00Speaker 6: past my time passed. Did he changed his mind about
- 26:03Speaker 6: the promises? But just to hear the reminder that it's
- 26:05Speaker 6: okay to just bring them back to him. So I
- 26:07Speaker 6: think that was that was friend for me.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Yeah, that was so friend. So fridm y'all. I'm so
- 26:12Speaker 1: grateful for y'all. I'm grateful that y'all got on my podcast.
- 26:19Speaker 1: We were trying to go to that yard. Almost. I
- 26:23Speaker 1: almost text y'all and ask se'all to just come over
- 26:25Speaker 1: here anyway, but I was like, you know what, they
- 26:27Speaker 1: probably I'm gonna let them enjoy.
- 26:28Speaker 6: But the Lord knew the Lord and I so than
- 26:32Speaker 6: anything about it is. We walked this way because we
- 26:34Speaker 6: were We normally go out the other door, and I
- 26:36Speaker 6: was like, let's walk this way because it was less traffic.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Yeah, it was just it's time. It's time. I love it.
- 26:43Speaker 1: I love it, y'all. Thank y'all so much for coming

- 27:10Speaker 1: I know we normally are at BGTV shout out to
- 27:13Speaker 1: our family at BGTV, but this time we have been
- 27:17Speaker 1: able to grace the presence of all these women that
- 27:21Speaker 1: have come for an encounter, to have come to alter
- 27:24Speaker 1: their race to freedom so that they can truly be free.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Because guess what, if the Lord set you free, if
- 27:32Speaker 1: the sun set you free, you are truly free. Indeed. Okay,
- 27:39Speaker 1: we made a remix to that scripture, but it is okay,
- 27:43Speaker 1: it's okay. So until next time, until next week, remember

- 28:27Speaker 2: pray thank God for another day. Hey hey, I'm just
- 28:34Speaker 2: thankful for another day. Hey hey another day? Oh, another
- 28:41Speaker 2: day wise, another day to get it right, another day
- 28:44Speaker 2: to rise up, another day living another day we loved ones.
- 28:47Speaker 2: I always remember hold it down for a ball one yuh.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Okay
