- 1:47we've got some great calls. I got some great emails I saw this morning
- 1:49as well. Let's just talk a little bit Tim about the Healthy Place and
- 1:53for folks, I often forget this, but there are people that are newcomers
- 1:57to the show. Welcome to the program. Who may not have heard you
- 2:00and I chat over the past couple of years, and a little bit of
- 2:04background on the healthy place and a little bit about what makes you guys so
- 2:07special? Awesome. Yeah, So, my mom fought through cancer when I
- 2:12was just a little guy, and much of her recovery was through natural alternatives.
- 2:15So we grew up just learning about natural alternatives. She got a job
- 2:19at a health food store in a little town called Mesqugo, Wisconsin, which
- 2:23is about ten minutes from mcquanago, Wisconsin, where I grew up, towards
- 2:28Wakashoff. You haven't heard of those, and you know, we just learned
- 2:31about, Hey, if you have this issue, there's a natural alternative to
- 2:36consider before going the medical route. And we'd go to the medical route sometimes
- 2:38too, So it was like an integrative approach growing up. And by the
- 2:42time I graduated high school, I wanted in. I liked helping people.
- 2:46I liked encouraging people, inspiring people, just for life in general, like,
- 2:51hey, life is a gift. And then combined with knowledge around natural
- 2:54alternatives, you know, health is a gift. And those two sort of
- 2:58married, and then I married Becky in two thousand and nine and we set
- 3:01out to open the Healthy Place in Fitchburg have thirteen years ago goodness and now
- 3:07thankfully, gratefully we have three stores. We never thought we'd get there or
- 3:13even had the desire. We didn't think that we would even grow that much.
- 3:16And you know, the community said, hey, we are suffering and
- 3:21we want more quality of life, and it seems that there are there's information
- 3:27and education that can both end suffering and increase quality of life in the natural
- 3:30alternative space. And we took that torch and we've been running, running hard
- 3:35ever since. So if you ever have any questions health wise, for me,
- 3:38it's not about convincing people to go a natural way. It's about educating
- 3:43people so they are the CEOs of their own health, making their decisions that
- 3:46they believe are best for their lives and for their loved ones. And if
- 3:50you have any health issues, small, medium or large, give a shout
- 3:53stop on by hit our live chat feature on our website. It is an
- 3:58opportunity to get guidance. Our army of wellness consultants are hired for passion,
- 4:03integrity, knowledge and we don't do commission because that just muddies the waters and
- 4:10can be a distraction in the area of health. So we run hard to
- 4:13serve our community. And you know, the coolest part, Sean is when
- 4:16new customer comes in and they're like, well, I've heard of you guys,
- 4:19I've heard that yet yet help you know, you help my aunt with
- 4:24her art rightness or something like that, and they have another issue connected to
- 4:28their health and they're sort of a little shy about it, but they bring
- 4:30up the issue and all of a sudden, you know, twenty minutes later,
- 4:34we've had a conversation, We've asked a number of questions, we have
- 4:36a couple of recommendations, a choice is made, and my very favorite part
- 4:41is, you know, some weeks later when that customer comes back in and
- 4:44they're like, you know, man, my symptoms have improved. I feel
- 4:47a little bit better, and it's like high five. We've fanned that flame.
- 4:51We've we've moved the needle on the quality of their life. And that's
- 4:55what we do every single day. It's amazing seeing that impact. And we
- 4:58get callers from time to time. People will call in one week and call
- 5:00back a couple of weeks later, talk about their experience and just the rave
- 5:04reviews. We talked with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place online finds your Healthy
- 5:08Place dot com even better, stop on in. They'd love to see you,
- 5:11whether it's the West Side location here in Madison, Fitchburger, Sun Prairie
- 5:15and the phone lines are open for you right now at six eight three two
- 5:17one thirteen ten. That's six o eight three two one thirteen ten. And
- 5:21our good buddy Bill from Stonton, thanks for calling back. You're on there
- 5:24with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place. Mister Bill, Good morning, Good
- 5:28morning guys. How are we doing great? Pretty good? How are you
- 5:30doing today? I'm doing okay. The question they have is my wife has
- 5:34vertigo and basically she's been suffering from it pretty much NonStop since April. So
- 5:41it's really been a change in our lives because she's lost her job and you
- 5:46know, just lost her you know, she's lost forty pounds. It's just
- 5:49all kinds of crazy stuff that's happened. And we've been through the vestibular rehab.
- 5:55We were doing acupuncture that we're doing all different types of things to try
- 6:00to get some alleviate this and from a from a you know, from from
- 6:06a natural standpoint. Is there anything that you can kind of, you know,
- 6:11help us to try to get something done or get some relief from that.
- 6:15Yeah, dude, that is brutal. How long has she been battling
- 6:17this since the middle of April? Middle of April, man, So that
- 6:23has just been brutal. Yeah, it's you know, for those listening vertigo,
- 6:27it's a sensation of spinning, you know, tilting, imbalance associated with
- 6:30feelings of movement when there is none, and it can be just terrible.
- 6:34And I am like super sorry about that. So hard. And the hard
- 6:39part is is that she was a computer person. She was a project manager
- 6:43and so remotely so everything she does is on a computer. Well you know,
- 6:46twenty months on a computer and everything swims, you know, and then
- 6:49you know, I feel like you got a hurl. So yeah, it's
- 6:54it's been a major inconvenience to life. My gosh. Yeah. So she
- 7:00literally, I mean computer job, she can't do it currently, dang dude.
- 7:04Yeah, vertical vertigo is intense and I've chatted with a number of customers
- 7:10around the topic, and it's can be very difficult to treat ginger tea ginger
- 7:15in a capsule ority as anti nausea properties, so that can be helpful for
- 7:19the nausea side of things. Ginko bloba helps with the blood flow in the
- 7:25brain, so that's one of the top herbs that's recommended for vertigo, and
- 7:29I've seen that help and minimize symptoms over the years. Hydrations a surprising benefit.
- 7:35You get some electrolytes. I take one called the Nowton tabs it's n
- 7:40U N and you drop it in water. It dissolves that natural sweeteners and
- 7:44it tastes good. But hydrations pretty huge. Essential oils have been another one
- 7:49that has helped a number of my customers. Peppermint lavender essential oils. You
- 7:56can get like a diffuser going I'm wondering, Bill if you should shoot me
- 8:00an email if you think of it, Tim at find your Healthy Place dot
- 8:03com. Because this is one of those types of the terrible burdens that need
- 8:11conversation and development and we can try. We have a sweet return policy,
- 8:15so when we're dealing with something like vertigo, where you know you make a
- 8:18recommendation, you're like, man, I think this has a good chance of
- 8:22helping you. If it doesn't help, you can bring that back and trade
- 8:26it out and there's about four to five good strong approaches to vertigo that the
- 8:31Healthy Place has seen relief for our community. And I would invite you into
- 8:35that conversation and I'd connect you with a wellness consultant too, and we'd try
- 8:39to get your wife some breakthrough because this is terrible and it would be cool
- 8:41if we can even if we could take the edge off, you know,
- 8:45right right, well, you know the whole thing is is that it's it's
- 8:48because it's such a life altering thing, because you know, even the even
- 8:52TV sets it off. She really can't read a book. You know,
- 8:56she should read a little bit, but you know when you get twenty minutes
- 8:58in and then the wheels come off. So yeah, it's pretty fol right
- 9:01right, yeah, my goodness. We should we should keep the conversation going
- 9:05if you're willing, Jim Matt find your Healthy Place dot com. Yeah all
- 9:09right, thank you much, Bill, keep us posted. Great to hear
- 9:11from you, and that freeze open a line if you've got a question for
- 9:13Tim O'Brien, love to get you on the air, just like Bill.

- 10:37At six to eight three two one thirteen ten, back to the phones
- 10:41we go, heading down to McFarland where McFarland where John is standing by John,
- 10:45Welcome to the program. You're on the air with Tim O'Brien from The
- 10:46Healthy Place. Hey, good morning John, Hey, good morning Jim.
- 10:50Thanks for building the ball by Ado. I've got a good friend who as
- 11:00vertigo for four to five years. Uh, he just durned seventy and he's
- 11:07had everything he evaluated you can possibly evaluate. He just lives with it,
- 11:13but I persist problems. They've done medically everything you can who MRIs. There's
- 11:22a minor vascular changes that they've identified, but it really just doesn't get better.
- 11:28And I suppose that after working in the medical field for forty five years,
- 11:37there's something that knows and there's a lot that they don't know. So
- 11:41I watch, just what how that helps get him connected to a healthy place?
- 11:48Great question, Yeah, dude, I mean that is also a story
- 11:52I've heard often. You know, vertigo. A lot of the times,
- 11:56it's it's finding ways to live with it and taking the edge off and minimizing
- 12:01symptoms. And we'll try. You know, I mentioned ginkobloba. You know,
- 12:03Vitamin D deficiencies are common connected commonly connected with vertigo. Same with B
- 12:09twelve magnesium. So I like that your friend has been tested. And I
- 12:13was going to mention that to Bill actually too for his wife, like like,
- 12:16getting a blood draw seeing if there are any deficiencies is often a good
- 12:20starting place. But for you, John, uh, you know, I
- 12:24I'd recommend getting him connected with a wellness consultant, just to start the conversation.
- 12:28You know, Tim at find Yourhealthy Place dot Com is my email.
- 12:31I'm happy to start the conversation popping into our store and asking specific questions because,
- 12:37like you said, we might not be able to cure vertigo. You
- 12:41know, sometimes we hear those stories and hey, praise God, I'll take
- 12:43it. Like a lot of times, it's it's taking the edge off and
- 12:46reducing the symptoms and finding ways to live with it. So even like like
- 12:50if there's sleep problems related to vertigo, we're really good at helping people get
- 12:54and find deeper sleep through natural alternative supplements, different nutrients formula. Uh say,
- 13:01say that nausea is what really plagued somebody with vertigo, then then we
- 13:05can go in with some ginger and magnesium and there's a variety of approaches to
- 13:11nausea. And so that's that's my favorite way to help a customer is is
- 13:15meeting them, connecting with them or with our wellness consultants and asking them questions
- 13:18like what what's plaguing your life connected to vertigo or connected to your health issue.
- 13:24And so that's how I'd encourage your buddy stop on in, give a
- 13:28call or an email, whichever is the most convenient for him, and we
- 13:31can we can do our very best to help John. Great call this morning,
- 13:35and of course you two can be like John if you ever have a
- 13:39question, they'd love to see you all. I got to do a stomp
- 13:41on end a healthy place, whether it's West side of Madison, Fitchburger,
- 13:43Sun Prairie Online finds your Healthy Place dot Com that's fine your Healthy place dot
- 13:48com. I know Bill's probably when he mentioned vertigo. I think a lot
- 13:52of folks spotted I've in my how many years if I've been organ We're working
- 13:56since I was twelve. I got my first job, you know, no
- 14:01way wait, yeah, and I've missed one day of work in my entire
- 14:05career. And it wasn't yeah, and it wasn't because I was sick.
- 14:09It was because I had something going on with my ear that gave me vertigo.
- 14:13And it was an interesting It was a Wednesday morning in twenty twenty because
- 14:16I remember texting you saying, Tim, I don't know what's going on,
- 14:20but I'm not going to be in this morning, right, Yeah, it
- 14:22was, And I was terrified because I like, you know, you feel
- 14:26a little dizzy, and I just remember going down the stairs and like next
- 14:28thing I know, I'm like on my back and like the room is spinning,
- 14:31and I'm like, oh my god, my god, what is going
- 14:35on? So these are important things in Tim, We've got we've got a
- 14:37couple of minutes, and I think it's important to talk about, you know,
- 14:41as we as we as we've been discussing today, primarily vertigo. But
- 14:43we've talked about so many different things over the years. I think it's important
- 14:46to remind people that that, you know, I know you used the phrase
- 14:50being the CEO of your health. That's an important thing. Is is just
- 14:54because somebody says, well, I'm you know, I'm gonna give you this
- 14:56or that the other thing. There's always something to be said for taking control
- 15:01of your life and taking control of your own health and saying, you know
- 15:05what, I want to live better. I want to make this year the
- 15:07year of doing good things for me, and by doing good things for me,
- 15:11I can do good things for others. Others and starting that conversation,
- 15:13starting that journey. It's it's a very rewarding one, isn't it, you
- 15:18know dude. I picture what we do at the healthy place like fanning the
- 15:22flame. Everybody has a little flame of the pursuit of health, I might
- 15:28call it, and it might just be a barely a flicker, or it
- 15:31might be a like raging flame. And our job is to fan the flame
- 15:35of your pursuit of health. And I believe that that each person should be
- 15:41the CEO and equipped to be the CEO of their own health. And what
- 15:45I mean by that is, if they're in the middle and they have a
- 15:48team around them, medical doctor, you know, pharmacists they got there there,
- 15:52they might have a natural path, they might have a chiropractor, and
- 15:58you know, we want to be that peace around you that guides you in
- 16:02the supplement space. You know, we don't pretend to be medical doctors.
- 16:06You know, we don't pretend to be naturopathic doctors. We don't pretend to
- 16:07be pharmacists. We are really good at knowing which forms of ingredients absorbed well,
- 16:14which brands are good, better, best, and what's working for our
- 16:18community. And there is a lot of people suffering out there, shown a
- 16:22lot of chronic pain, a lot of stress, anxiety, depression, a
- 16:26lot of sleep issues. And you could go on for an hour with the
- 16:30diseases and chronic conditions that our community in Dane County here are facing and battling.
- 16:37And our job is to end suffering and to increase quality of life and
- 16:42provide education that leads to hope, because they're the human body is an incredible
- 16:48thing. And once you work with a supplement that helps one of your conditions,
- 16:53like minimizes your pain. For example, the light bulb goes off.
- 16:57My goodness. Natural turntis can play a role in the big picture of my
- 17:02health. Doesn't mean it always takes the place of pharmaceutical drugs or a surgery
- 17:07or doing this or that. It's a part of the story and it equips
- 17:10you, it empowers you. It impacts you to lead a better life.
- 17:14And your health matters, your life matters, and they're both worth fighting for.
- 17:17I love speaking on that topic and it's such an important journey to begin,
- 17:21and you don't want to wait another day. And that's the great thing
- 17:22about working with the team at the Healthy Plays. They are there for you,
- 17:26those wellness consultants, they are on location, whether it's West Side of
- 17:27Madison, Fitchburger, Sun Prairie, be able for you as well online at
- 17:32finds your Healthy Place dot com. That's finds your Healthy Place dot com.
- 17:36Today is the day get in get yourself a happy, healthy New Year,
- 17:38and it all starts with planning right now to get that ball rolling again.
