- 2:00Speaker 6: We've got a new sting Pugs has made. I haven't
- 2:02Speaker 6: listened to it. And if this is a stitch up,
- 2:04Speaker 6: I swear to God, here we go. What's happening on
- 2:10Speaker 6: the Big Show with old Mogu.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Jeez, who did that voice?
- 2:15Speaker 6: It was good?
- 2:15Speaker 4: That was really play. Oh that was good.
- 2:17Speaker 7: Coming up on the show today, fellers, we'll be talking
- 2:20Speaker 7: about the fact that I got a man in around
- 2:22Speaker 7: at my house to do a bit of work around
- 2:23Speaker 7: the joint. Some might say shameful behavior. Also, we'll be
- 2:28Speaker 7: talking about the celebrity scale and where we fed on
- 2:30Speaker 7: it A to D talking to Paul Douglas, a comedian,
- 2:34Speaker 7: and later on the show talking to a bloke who
- 2:36Speaker 7: is running six hundred and seventeen kilometers for mental health.
- 2:40Speaker 6: That is one hell of it.
- 2:41Speaker 7: That's a good way to start the show, right, Yeah, okay,
- 2:43Speaker 7: So there's something for everyone there. So if you're thinking
- 2:45Speaker 7: to yourself, I'd rather kill myself than listen to this show.
- 2:50Speaker 4: No, you know that something to stick around. Yeah, definitely
- 2:52Speaker 4: know what I mean.
- 2:53Speaker 6: Now say what you said before, Jason.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Let's get back to the counter.
- 2:57Speaker 6: So we're got and smell the names.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Smell nothing but nineties countdown on.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Hold AKA thanks to Super Liquor.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Celebrating thirty years of chairs.
- 3:06Speaker 6: Sorry man, I cut you off there.
- 3:07Speaker 5: No, that's okay, man, I'm all g hey, let's get
- 3:10Speaker 5: back to it. We're up to number one hundred and twelve.
- 3:14Speaker 3: The Nothing but Nineties Countdown.
- 3:16Speaker 8: On Radio Hodarky, Number one hundred and twelve Iram.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Drive The Hiarchy Big Show week days from four on
- 3:25Speaker 2: Radio Hodarkies.
- 3:26Speaker 5: Indeed, it's an emergency on the countdown there one one
- 3:29Speaker 5: one on the countdown. Rage against the machine.
- 3:31Speaker 6: Gorilla Radio's cool man. Yeah, thanks man, Hey mog you
- 3:35Speaker 6: do you remember at the start of the year we
- 3:37Speaker 6: came in. We were fresh as daisies, were fizzed up
- 3:39Speaker 6: for the Big show, and Jace made a promise. Oh,
- 3:42Speaker 6: he said, for every month this year, He's going to
- 3:45Speaker 6: learn a new song on keyboard on piano. As a
- 3:48Speaker 6: result of that, we got in right behind him. We
- 3:51Speaker 6: even organized one of our good friends of the show,
- 3:53Speaker 6: Nick to come in. He organized a lesson. He even
- 3:56Speaker 6: provided a state of the keyboard. Yeah, big bastard, how
- 4:01Speaker 6: are you going with your news resolution, Jace?
- 4:04Speaker 5: That particular one. Look, I haven't been at.
- 4:08Speaker 4: My best fellows.
- 4:09Speaker 6: The keyboard has been at hodaki for four months.
- 4:11Speaker 5: And I've been coming in early every day and tapping away.
- 4:13Speaker 4: You touched it once.
- 4:18Speaker 5: Look, I feel terrible about it, and I still haven't
- 4:22Speaker 5: given up, my dream will not happen, and I am
- 4:28Speaker 5: determined to live up to my expectations of myself at
- 4:33Speaker 5: the beginning of the year.
- 4:34Speaker 6: Right, Okay, Well, with that in mind, we've got a
- 4:36Speaker 6: friend of the show, Joe Jerry from the ACC on
- 4:38Speaker 6: the line, Joe, how are you going?
- 4:39Speaker 4: Man?
- 4:40Speaker 9: What the good guess hers tomorrow about three thirty? Is
- 4:44Speaker 9: that all good? To come? Pick up that the keyboard?
- 4:47Speaker 9: Is it?
- 4:47Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 4:48Speaker 6: That'll probably work for me because what's happened here. Jason
- 4:51Speaker 6: is someone who's known for their work ethic, their determination
- 4:54Speaker 6: has come through. Spotted the keyboard, asked who it was?
- 4:57Speaker 6: Who who belonged to? I think prem Am I right
- 5:00Speaker 6: in saying Joe that. Preeb said, yeah, man, just take it.
- 5:02Speaker 6: It's just been sitting there for ages.
- 5:04Speaker 9: Yeah, the breakfast guys that I saw, though, I don't
- 5:06Speaker 9: have a clean out of the studio, so I swung by,
- 5:09Speaker 9: and you know, I had a few memories of that
- 5:11Speaker 9: studio and a few demons actually more than anything. And
- 5:14Speaker 9: I saw that keyboard there and I asked for him,
- 5:16Speaker 9: what's who's got the keyboard? And where's that going? He said, Oh,
- 5:18Speaker 9: isn't you can have it?
- 5:19Speaker 5: So free?
- 5:20Speaker 9: Do a good home.
- 5:21Speaker 6: That's right.
- 5:21Speaker 9: I'm a tomorrow again.
- 5:24Speaker 6: Honestly, that should be perfect. Joe'll give you a left
- 5:26Speaker 6: of the man. Basically, Joe, Jury has come through. That
- 5:29Speaker 6: keyboard's been there for so long no one remembers whose
- 5:32Speaker 6: it is. Greg literally just said, ye, take it. He
- 5:34Speaker 6: assumed it was just a freebe Joe Jury. He wants
- 5:38Speaker 6: to learn, was it, Hans Zimmer? You want to learn
- 5:40Speaker 6: to play, Joe?
- 5:42Speaker 9: Yeah, I want to learn the entire and distell a
- 5:45Speaker 9: soundtrack so then I can just play there and romance
- 5:48Speaker 9: my my lovely partner with it.
- 5:50Speaker 5: Yeah right, Well just hang on a second. First and foremost, Joe,
- 5:55Speaker 5: keep your filthy hands off it.
- 5:57Speaker 4: But what I am prepared to do here we go, Well,
- 6:01Speaker 4: what you're prepared to promise?
- 6:03Speaker 5: What I'm preparing to do for you, Joe? Ten boxes
- 6:06Speaker 5: of chips, ten boxers, and it's all yours.
- 6:13Speaker 9: Ten boxes, ten boxes.
- 6:15Speaker 5: Of chips and it's yours. So they were just just
- 6:19Speaker 5: I'm taking it home tonight.
- 6:22Speaker 6: Just sorry, you're talking about ten boxes that are full
- 6:24Speaker 6: of packets of chips. Yes, okay, the ones you've been stealing.
- 6:27Speaker 6: Is that like, is that durable?
- 6:28Speaker 10: Joe?
- 6:30Speaker 9: This is Western Facebook Marketplace. I made a deal with
- 6:34Speaker 9: primble to picked that thing up at the three thirty tomorrow,
- 6:37Speaker 9: I think he said. And now I've got some mother
- 6:39Speaker 9: guy changing the deal.
- 6:40Speaker 4: You've turned up on the doorstep, and there's some other bastard.
- 6:43Speaker 5: There Prebonada had no rights to be negotiating on my behalf, Joe,
- 6:49Speaker 5: all right, so just back off, Pale.
- 6:52Speaker 9: What about that, Jase? What about if we have a
- 6:55Speaker 9: what if we have a playoff? Yeah, we play you
- 6:58Speaker 9: play your best number on the piano, make keyboard. I'd
- 7:03Speaker 9: play my best number and.
- 7:05Speaker 5: The worst gets to keep it and the practice.
- 7:09Speaker 6: Yeah all right, Joe, would you actually be open to
- 7:11Speaker 6: doing that?
- 7:11Speaker 5: Man?
- 7:12Speaker 9: Absolutely?
- 7:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:13Speaker 9: Put it to the people and he's you on and
- 7:14Speaker 9: we can we can they can vote who gets the keyboard.
- 7:17Speaker 6: All right, let's do that. Maybe the next week we'll
- 7:19Speaker 6: do that and the winner will get to take it home.
- 7:21Speaker 6: Thank you very much, Joe, Yeah.
- 7:25Speaker 11: It all you've stolen it up.
- 7:27Speaker 6: Anyway, Joe Jury from the ACC. Can't wait to hear
- 7:29Speaker 6: perform next week?
- 7:30Speaker 9: Man, thank you, every breakwake fellows, you.
- 7:32Speaker 6: Two have you any chips? Now? You are so greedy?
- 7:37Speaker 3: Norman that nineties countdown.
- 7:39Speaker 8: On radio Hodaky number one hundred and ten. She Hurd
- 7:43Speaker 8: Dev's Night Out.
- 7:47Speaker 2: The hold Aking Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keyzy.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Tune in week days at four on Radio Hold.
- 7:53Speaker 5: I nine there on the countdown The Prodigy fel So.
- 7:56Speaker 4: I think they should be in the top twenty.
- 7:58Speaker 6: I'd probably agree with that.
- 7:59Speaker 5: It takes me back that song to my sort of
- 8:02Speaker 5: school social days.
- 8:04Speaker 6: Really Prodigy, Yeah, man, there would have been way after
- 8:07Speaker 6: that when I was.
- 8:07Speaker 5: Cut in shapes. Now listen, you know you feel as
- 8:11Speaker 5: we're having a bit of a go at me about
- 8:13Speaker 5: whoa Kesy was having a bit of a go at
- 8:16Speaker 5: me about, you know, not sticking to my New Year's resolution.
- 8:18Speaker 5: Come out first and foremost. Yeah, I point out there's
- 8:21Speaker 5: a few resolutions I have stuck to. But I want
- 8:23Speaker 5: to say this, who amongst us can cast a stone
- 8:27Speaker 5: when it comes to New Year's resolutions? I mean, we
- 8:30Speaker 5: make New Year's resolutions pretty much to break them, don't
- 8:34Speaker 5: we know?
- 8:36Speaker 6: Your resolution was to learn a song, like you said,
- 8:39Speaker 6: even one song would have been great.
- 8:40Speaker 4: I have learned one song. No you haven't.
- 8:42Speaker 5: I No you haven't.
- 8:44Speaker 6: You cannot okay, Paul Buchanan, The song that you tried
- 8:46Speaker 6: to learn on piano. If he heard you playing that,
- 8:48Speaker 6: he would be like, what the hell's that you do
- 8:50Speaker 6: it with one finger instead of playing the whole chords,
- 8:53Speaker 6: which is fine for a beginner. But you didn't even
- 8:55Speaker 6: learn one song, let alone the twelve that you promised us.
- 8:58Speaker 6: We organize you listens and a keyboard, and you just
- 9:00Speaker 6: left your keyboard here for the last four months at work.
- 9:02Speaker 5: I would like to have the audio on this because
- 9:05Speaker 5: I don't remember promising. I remember saying I have this
- 9:08Speaker 5: dream of learning a song per month. Okay, No, I
- 9:11Speaker 5: have this idea that I want to learn one of them.
- 9:13Speaker 4: So I don't think.
- 9:14Speaker 5: I don't think I said I promise you, fellas, I'm
- 9:16Speaker 5: going to learn a song a month.
- 9:17Speaker 6: Do you know how easy it is to find that audio?
- 9:19Speaker 4: Because I'd like to hear it. Do do?
- 9:21Speaker 6: Okay, So what he's done here is just throw it
- 9:23Speaker 6: back to us to do even more work, even though
- 9:25Speaker 6: he knows that he has promised it.
- 9:26Speaker 4: It's not the first time.
- 9:27Speaker 6: Yeah, so you've broken your New Year's resolution, Jason Mogi.
- 9:31Speaker 6: You wouldn't have done that, right, Ah, Look, I had it.
- 9:36Speaker 7: I had a I had a news resolution this year
- 9:39Speaker 7: was to not drink.
- 9:40Speaker 6: Yes, you didn't you have like a didn't you have
- 9:44Speaker 6: like a sting made up and everything there It is
- 9:50Speaker 6: Mogi's sobliety updates.
- 9:54Speaker 4: I've been hitting it hard. That's the end. I think.
- 9:58Speaker 7: I had the first three months off and I went
- 10:00Speaker 7: to a mate's fiftieth and that was it. Because for me,
- 10:03Speaker 7: it's either all or nothing. If it's nothing, I'm fine
- 10:07Speaker 7: as soon as I do it once. Then I'm making
- 10:08Speaker 7: excuses for myself left, right and center. Although you know
- 10:12Speaker 7: I have been a million times better than I normally am.
- 10:16Speaker 7: So I've found some kind of a middle grade. I
- 10:18Speaker 7: just sort of look at a New Year's resolution key
- 10:20Speaker 7: with and Jason, you understand this, man, sure, man, it's
- 10:23Speaker 7: something to aspire to. Indeed, it's something to attempt to
- 10:27Speaker 7: hold yourself to. Now, if you don't hit the stars,
- 10:30Speaker 7: you know, at least you're still hit the clouds.
- 10:32Speaker 4: Kesy.
- 10:33Speaker 7: So I think in my own defense and the reason
- 10:35Speaker 7: why I wanted to, you know, sort of pull back
- 10:39Speaker 7: on the drink, you know, as I said, you know,
- 10:41Speaker 7: not do it at all, was because I wanted to
- 10:42Speaker 7: be a lot more, get a lot more done this year,
- 10:45Speaker 7: be a lot more productive. Because I had a lot
- 10:46Speaker 7: of work to do, and I have done that, so
- 10:50Speaker 7: I'm happy about that. But certainly I would have been
- 10:53Speaker 7: far more proud of myself had I have managed to
- 10:55Speaker 7: stick to the rules that I had, which was I
- 10:58Speaker 7: think overseas Australia and I did that magic ground and
- 11:04Speaker 7: then Europe which I did.
- 11:06Speaker 4: There has also been some New Zealand based drinking. Yeah.
- 11:09Speaker 6: Well, yeah, you went in a plane though.
- 11:13Speaker 4: I went to Wellington year so that doesn't count.
- 11:17Speaker 5: Yeah, But I will say in my defense, keys Y,
- 11:19Speaker 5: I also made other resolutions which I have kept about.
- 11:22Speaker 5: Have you kept about being more sociable, about going out,
- 11:26Speaker 5: more about making more of an effort on? That's one resolution?
- 11:29Speaker 4: That's a couple.
- 11:30Speaker 6: No, it sounded like three, but it was the same
- 11:31Speaker 6: resolution I recall.
- 11:33Speaker 5: I recall you saying that you wanted to only be
- 11:37Speaker 5: steamed once a week instead of four times a week.
- 11:40Speaker 5: That was two years ago.
- 11:41Speaker 4: Do you stick to that?
- 11:42Speaker 6: Yeah? I did at the time. Yeah.
- 11:45Speaker 4: I want to put it out there to the lesters
- 11:47Speaker 4: and be honest.
- 11:48Speaker 5: On three four eight three, did you make a New
- 11:51Speaker 5: Year's resolution and did you stick to it? What was it?
- 11:54Speaker 4: Yeah? Give us a call.
- 11:55Speaker 7: Eight hundred Hodake we'd love to talk to you about it,
- 11:58Speaker 7: so you can tell us what it was you said
- 12:00Speaker 7: you were going to do and then how quickly you
- 12:04Speaker 7: made an abomination of it. Yeah, And I think most
- 12:06Speaker 7: of them go out the window before the end of January,
- 12:08Speaker 7: generally speaking, you're back to work. Yeah, because you're making
- 12:11Speaker 7: them when you're esteemed.
- 12:12Speaker 4: Yeah, you know what I mean, you guys, mid tire
- 12:15Speaker 4: Fellows midnight on the thirty fifth of December is the
- 12:19Speaker 4: last time that you should be making any kind of
- 12:21Speaker 4: promise exactly.
- 12:22Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Do you know what?
- 12:23Speaker 6: My resolution was? Just to be a you know, loving,
- 12:27Speaker 6: faithful husband, and I'm still doing that.
- 12:32Speaker 5: Apart from the dudes on the sidide.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Yeah, the whole archy Big show was Jason, Mike and
- 12:38Speaker 2: Kyzy tune in.
- 12:39Speaker 5: Four on Radio hud Eat Sound Garden there and nothing
- 12:43Speaker 5: but the nineties countdown when I wait, Fellows.
- 12:45Speaker 6: There's a tune.
- 12:47Speaker 4: It is a chune.
- 12:48Speaker 6: We don't play that song enough, no, you know what
- 12:49Speaker 6: I mean, We need.
- 12:50Speaker 7: That as a I like that little that little breakdown
- 12:54Speaker 7: that they do at the end of the actually saw
- 12:56Speaker 7: them live at the Big Day.
- 12:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:57Speaker 7: It was the last gig they ever played before they
- 12:58Speaker 7: broke up and god back together again?
- 13:01Speaker 6: Did they break up because of that Gig I.
- 13:03Speaker 7: Could assume yeah, oh wow, Yeah, Me and Hoidy j
- 13:06Speaker 7: were that's where we met Jose remember that man the
- 13:09Speaker 7: moshi Yeah, down the moshie there?
- 13:11Speaker 6: Did you have your dreadlocks?
- 13:12Speaker 5: I had dreadlocks? And then did he shows out like
- 13:14Speaker 5: a light ke smack.
- 13:16Speaker 6: Me, bogie cowed, punched him. Hey, just just quickly, Fellows,
- 13:20Speaker 6: if I could, don't forget. Tomorrow is daffital Day and
- 13:24Speaker 6: we've teamed up with our mates at A and Z's
- 13:26Speaker 6: to help support the Cancer Society. If you would like
- 13:29Speaker 6: to donate instantly three dollars, Text the word donate to
- 13:32Speaker 6: three four nine three. It is donate to three four
- 13:36Speaker 6: nine three. Jason, I know you're not going to do it.
- 13:38Speaker 6: Don't even bother. And tomorrow we're gonna be holding a
- 13:40Speaker 6: bit of a ping pong competition as well, just to
- 13:43Speaker 6: sort of get people talking. Pang pang, that's right, pang pang.
- 13:46Speaker 5: Hey, before that, we were talking about who actually kept
- 13:48Speaker 5: their New Year's resolutions, because the Fellows were hammering old
- 13:51Speaker 5: Hoody j about not learning the piano. Ah, do we
- 13:55Speaker 5: get a response on three four eight three there keasy.

- 14:07Speaker 7: That I had a mate like that. He went through
- 14:10Speaker 7: so many jobs. The boss was a deck. The boss

- 14:27Speaker 7: It's pretty good.
- 14:28Speaker 6: Yeah, what if next years want us to kick vaping?
- 14:31Speaker 5: M Oh look, I can't do it all at once, feels.
- 14:35Speaker 6: Or anything at all.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Get a Sarah from Wallly. How's life?
- 14:40Speaker 10: It's pretty windy down here?
- 14:41Speaker 5: But yeah you're joking, but we were just down there, actually, Sarah,
- 14:45Speaker 5: last week it was beautiful down Wellly. I won't have
- 14:48Speaker 5: anyone saying anything about the weather and Wellington it's a
- 14:51Speaker 5: magnificent place.
- 14:53Speaker 10: It's always like that, Sarah.
- 14:57Speaker 6: Tell us about your new year's resolution, man.
- 15:00Speaker 9: A classic, you know, start the new Year's going to
- 15:02Speaker 9: lose some weight, eat healthy, join the gym two weeks
- 15:06Speaker 9: and got pregnant.
- 15:07Speaker 10: Have gained fifteen k.
- 15:11Speaker 4: I'll tell you what.
- 15:12Speaker 7: And of all the excuses I've heard of not doing
- 15:15Speaker 7: you and not getting your New Year's resolution, you're going
- 15:17Speaker 7: to some length by getting pregnant. There was that deliberate
- 15:20Speaker 7: just so you don't have to go to the gym.
- 15:22Speaker 9: Oh I commit, I commit to failing my new year's resolution.
- 15:25Speaker 5: Yeah, well it is actually a remarkable phenomenon. Gym's in
- 15:30Speaker 5: January are always shucker and then it just gradually falls
- 15:35Speaker 5: away as the year goes on.
- 15:39Speaker 10: Maybe everyone's pregnant.
- 15:40Speaker 4: Wow, that's right.
- 15:41Speaker 6: A lot of babies born in September. Actually, that explains it.
- 15:44Speaker 6: Thank you so much for your input there, Sarah will
- 15:46Speaker 6: flick your reburg about you for participating.
- 15:48Speaker 4: Mate, that'll help.
- 15:49Speaker 10: I'll be hungry.
- 15:50Speaker 6: Yeah, good stuff, floody awesome. Shall we get back to
- 15:54Speaker 6: the countdown there, fellas?
- 15:55Speaker 4: Yes? Please?
- 15:56Speaker 5: Man?
- 15:56Speaker 6: What number are we up to there? Jason Hoyt one
- 15:58Speaker 6: O seven What.
- 16:00Speaker 2: The Hierarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hdarchy.
- 16:04Speaker 5: Stone Temple pilots there on the radio? Ho Donkey Big
- 16:08Speaker 5: Show coming in at number one hundred and five on
- 16:11Speaker 5: the countdown?
- 16:13Speaker 4: Was it so I didn't have my glasses on?
- 16:14Speaker 6: You could just put them on before you. Yeah, it
- 16:19Speaker 6: was in the hundreds.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Keep you New Year's Resolution, don't do it.
- 16:22Speaker 5: Yes, it's all comes out of the wash, doesn't it
- 16:25Speaker 5: feel as what was Let's talk TV? What's on the
- 16:31Speaker 5: Telly with Mike Minogue?
- 16:36Speaker 7: Yes, I don't know if you guys know, but I
- 16:39Speaker 7: went over to Europe.
- 16:40Speaker 5: Wow, really, you're joking.
- 16:42Speaker 7: And while I was on the plane, man, I watched
- 16:44Speaker 7: all of these different shows, et cetera, all of these
- 16:47Speaker 7: different movies, et cetera. This one I watched was called
- 16:50Speaker 7: ex Husbands ex Husbands Interested in three Buzzies. Because it
- 16:55Speaker 7: was one hour, thirty nine minutes. It's not wasting my time.
- 16:58Speaker 7: I'm busy on the plane. You know what I mean?
- 17:00Speaker 7: Him to get me out?
- 17:01Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 17:02Speaker 7: The cast Griffin Dunn, you might remember him. He's been
- 17:07Speaker 7: a lot of stuff, more of a supporting sort of
- 17:08Speaker 7: a dude. But the idea of it is he's a dentist.
- 17:12Speaker 7: He's facing the middle life crisis after his wife of
- 17:15Speaker 7: thirty five years leaves them.
- 17:17Speaker 4: You'll be able to relate to this. Jason.
- 17:18Speaker 7: A few years on the spur of the moment, he
- 17:21Speaker 7: books a trip to Mexico and crashes his son's bachelor party.
- 17:27Speaker 7: That sounds like a fun romp, doesn't it.
- 17:30Speaker 4: It's not a fun rop. It's perfectly fine.
- 17:33Speaker 7: Three stars for being in our thirty nine and that's
- 17:36Speaker 7: the best comedy in the comment of comedy drama.
- 17:39Speaker 4: There's a couple of little lolls in there. It's it's
- 17:41Speaker 4: very average.
- 17:43Speaker 7: I've been offended by I get offended by the length
- 17:46Speaker 7: of things. Mostly yes, And this is so if it
- 17:50Speaker 7: was on there, if you see it in front of you,
- 17:53Speaker 7: check it on, don't. I wouldn't say search it out?
- 17:55Speaker 7: Much like Kezies Downstairs What was it called again? X
- 17:58Speaker 7: husband's ex husband In the vein.
- 18:01Speaker 5: Of you guys banging on about Grand Designs New Zealand,
- 18:04Speaker 5: I watch a program quite regularly, much to my shame,
- 18:08Speaker 5: called Selling Houses Australia.
- 18:10Speaker 6: Love that show.
- 18:11Speaker 5: I love that. What really annoys me about this show
- 18:15Speaker 5: genuinely as they basically the premises people want to sell
- 18:19Speaker 5: their home it's looking a little ratty. They get some
- 18:21Speaker 5: designers and they do a design, they sort of renovate
- 18:24Speaker 5: it and then they sell the house and hopefully for
- 18:26Speaker 5: more money. And they always say what's your budget and
- 18:29Speaker 5: they go, oh forty K And then they come and
- 18:33Speaker 5: do all of this work. Yes, that there is no
- 18:37Speaker 5: way in the world would cost forty krs.
- 18:40Speaker 6: The TV show that the trade off is the labor
- 18:42Speaker 6: is all free.
- 18:43Speaker 4: The labor is all free. All the things they buy
- 18:46Speaker 4: are free for.
- 18:47Speaker 6: This gifted stuff. But yeah, so that's but as a
- 18:50Speaker 6: trade off, you have to be willing to go on
- 18:51Speaker 6: this television show.
- 18:52Speaker 4: It's just stupid. But I want it.
- 18:54Speaker 6: I love it though.
- 18:55Speaker 5: I love that Living Channel. Yes, Living Channel, Yes, so good.
- 19:01Speaker 5: One point seven busies.
- 19:02Speaker 6: It's better than that, you love it?
- 19:05Speaker 5: Two point two busies, Keezy, I'm not going high.
- 19:08Speaker 6: I'll take it sold. I watched the first episode of
- 19:12Speaker 6: Taskmaster in New Zealand last night. Yeah, I don't know.
- 19:17Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 19:18Speaker 6: It hasn't grabbed me this season.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know. One episode I know.
- 19:20Speaker 6: But the issue that they have right because I really
- 19:23Speaker 6: really like Taskmaster and I'm used to the UK one
- 19:24Speaker 6: where Greg Davies, who hosts it, is so high energy
- 19:27Speaker 6: and stuff. Z Island is so low energy, like Jerry's
- 19:30Speaker 6: so chill, Paul Williams is so chill. A lot of
- 19:33Speaker 6: the comedians are chill. It's nice to have people like
- 19:35Speaker 6: Paksasati on their Bree Thomas Sell as well, like high
- 19:37Speaker 6: energy people. Yeah right, they need more of that. I
- 19:41Speaker 6: just think, yeah, I don't know.
- 19:42Speaker 5: They need some hoiy j iff And and Jeff.
- 19:46Speaker 6: It's on TV and Z. If you need something, crack
- 19:48Speaker 6: up with great New Zealand talent and you go watch.
- 19:50Speaker 6: I think I've just watched too much of it.
- 19:52Speaker 7: Yeah, okay, yeah, keep trying it, though, Ezy. When I
- 19:54Speaker 7: hear about this every week.
- 19:55Speaker 6: Two point three busies, I'll give it. No, it's been there.
- 19:57Speaker 6: It's like three and a half busies out of five.
- 19:59Speaker 6: Whoa yea yeah, yeah, one more tune in the countdown
- 20:01Speaker 6: before five fouls and wonder what it is but a
- 20:03Speaker 6: sublime now that this is.
- 20:05Speaker 8: Nothing that nineties on Radio Hurdarchy number one hundred and
- 20:09Speaker 8: five Sublime, Wrong.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Way, the Hiarchy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keyzy.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Tune in four on.
- 20:17Speaker 5: Radio Holucky Sublime there on the Radio Hodarchy Big Show.
- 20:21Speaker 5: The countdown is going to continue after five o'clock. Also,
- 20:24Speaker 5: we're going to get into a bit of celebrity chat
- 20:28Speaker 5: speaking of TV, because I was watching a TV program today,
- 20:30Speaker 5: you know, the A Listers and the B listers insteads
- 20:33Speaker 5: it's about murder. Actually in this context, I'm just curious
- 20:37Speaker 5: to know where you and I and Mogi are on
- 20:40Speaker 5: the scale of New Zealand celebrity.
- 20:42Speaker 6: Ah, I would be up there, I think.
- 20:44Speaker 4: So I had an experience today that I know exactly
- 20:46Speaker 4: where I say, You're nice.
- 20:48Speaker 6: Also, after five o'clock, Paul Douglas coming friend of the show,
- 20:51Speaker 6: great comedian. He's going on tour soon, so Cowen's chat
- 20:54Speaker 6: to him.
- 20:55Speaker 5: Feels good stuff.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Mate, Acually Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keyzy.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio.
- 21:04Speaker 5: Hold Ike, welcome back to your massive backbones. How's your
- 21:07Speaker 5: Thursday going? Let us know on three four eight three
- 21:09Speaker 5: you're listening to the Big Show, brought to you by Reburger.
- 21:12Speaker 6: Beef checking vegan and vegetarian options to Reburger redifighting.
- 21:15Speaker 4: The norm's how you do it, you're the man.
- 21:22Speaker 6: The hell was that?
- 21:23Speaker 7: I was going to say, that's how you suck it,
- 21:25Speaker 7: but then something heaven between my brain and my mouth
- 21:28Speaker 7: didn't come out.
- 21:29Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 21:29Speaker 4: Right, so that's behind the scenes of the Big Show.
- 21:32Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean you don't have to say that. You
- 21:34Speaker 6: can say that is how you do it.
- 21:35Speaker 7: No, I know, And that's what I thought, and that's
- 21:38Speaker 7: split second. I made no decision at all. Really, yeah,
- 21:41Speaker 7: it came out a little bit weird, like you at
- 21:43Speaker 7: the top of the show, and we'll be talking about
- 21:44Speaker 7: that after the show. Really that abomination when you first
- 21:47Speaker 7: introed you know there.
- 21:49Speaker 6: Doney, he's gone back to when I cocked it up
- 21:52Speaker 6: an hour ago.
- 21:53Speaker 4: Do you like that? Well, we can talk about that
- 21:55Speaker 4: after the show. That's how you do. It's just a
- 21:57Speaker 4: radio technique we use. But we're talking about Hi, I
- 22:02Speaker 4: need a cock up?
- 22:03Speaker 5: So how you feel us must be spaing about that?
- 22:06Speaker 4: Forgurs, you're the man.
- 22:12Speaker 5: Thanks feelings did Yeah, I just try to make you
- 22:24Speaker 5: feel feel better about your screwups.
- 22:28Speaker 7: I feel a bit of Jayson something funny because I
- 22:31Speaker 7: think we're going to be spaguen.
- 22:35Speaker 5: Hi, should we get back to the countdown?
- 22:37Speaker 6: Oh, the countdown?
- 22:39Speaker 12: Wake up and smell the nineties now than nothing but
- 22:42Speaker 12: nineties countdown on.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Hold AKA thanks to super Liquor.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Celebrating thirty years of cheers.
- 22:48Speaker 6: That's right, celebrating thirty years of super Liquor by throwing
- 22:51Speaker 6: it back to the nineties, the decade where they where
- 22:53Speaker 6: they were.
- 22:56Speaker 4: Come on.
- 22:58Speaker 6: In the middle of the sponsors red Man shout out
- 23:02Speaker 6: to super Lucky. They've got special deals and also prizes
- 23:05Speaker 6: to be one in store all week two to celebrate
- 23:07Speaker 6: plus Big Countdown which actually wraps up tomorrow about this time.
- 23:11Speaker 5: Actually it'll be about this big.
- 23:14Speaker 6: Tomorrow's a big day, so make sure you tune in.
- 23:16Speaker 6: What number were up to there, Jason.
- 23:17Speaker 5: We always have a really good party for these things.
- 23:21Speaker 11: It is huge.
- 23:21Speaker 4: It just goes off.
- 23:23Speaker 6: Do not into the Auckland, the CPD of Auckland unless
- 23:27Speaker 6: you want to get just smacked over. That's just a
- 23:32Speaker 6: general thing for anything. To be honest, it's pretty dodgy
- 23:36Speaker 6: in the city.
- 23:36Speaker 5: Sent as to what we're up to, Keyzy one O four,
- 23:39Speaker 5: I believe.
- 23:41Speaker 3: This what is nothing at.
- 23:43Speaker 8: Nineteen nineties on Radio one hundred and four undone The Sweater.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Song, The Huriarchy Big Show week days from four on
- 23:54Speaker 2: Radio Hold.
- 23:55Speaker 5: One on the Countdown There Ivana for your listening. Please
- 23:58Speaker 5: have this Thursday afternoon, fellows. I was watching something after
- 24:02Speaker 5: a little round of golf this morning when I got home,
- 24:04Speaker 5: and it was basically a less celebrity murders, which got
- 24:09Speaker 5: me thinking just in general about sort of you know,
- 24:12Speaker 5: the A list Bliss sort of celebrity thing and whether
- 24:15Speaker 5: or not we kind of do this in New Zealand.
- 24:18Speaker 5: We like overseas, for example, it's to.
- 24:20Speaker 4: Big that if you're an A lister, you know what
- 24:22Speaker 4: I mean?
- 24:22Speaker 5: And what I've discovered is that overseas, for example, in
- 24:26Speaker 5: order to become an A lister often if you're not
- 24:29Speaker 5: like a big actor or whatever, it requires a bit
- 24:32Speaker 5: of busy action, a bit of of action. Only fans
- 24:37Speaker 5: or something like I'm talking about influencers here who get
- 24:39Speaker 5: into the A List by totally.
- 24:42Speaker 7: Oh yeah, I don't think there is anyone on any
- 24:45Speaker 7: fans who's an A lister. Ah right, Yeah, I don't
- 24:48Speaker 7: think so.
- 24:49Speaker 6: No, You've searched thoroughly.
- 24:50Speaker 7: I mean I've tried to find them, yes, I mean
- 24:53Speaker 7: you know, I've spit thousands.
- 24:56Speaker 5: Explained that in terms of getting followers and being no,
- 25:00Speaker 5: being an influence.
- 25:01Speaker 7: But yeah, you're right, they're not getting invited to the
- 25:04Speaker 7: latest red carpet.
- 25:05Speaker 4: They're not going to carn are they They're not you
- 25:07Speaker 4: know what I mean?
- 25:08Speaker 5: Yeah, Yeah, no, I think that's fair.
- 25:10Speaker 6: Actually, So so are you trying to figure out who's
- 25:13Speaker 6: an A List or in New Zealand?
- 25:14Speaker 5: Well, yes, whether we have the sort of equivalent you
- 25:17Speaker 5: know over seas it's your George Clooney's your Brad Pitts,
- 25:20Speaker 5: your Angelina Jolies. What's the New Zealand equivalent?
- 25:23Speaker 7: Well, I think there's two ways of looking at when
- 25:25Speaker 7: to decide which one we're doing. There's there's a list
- 25:27Speaker 7: who on the international stage are considered, a list which
- 25:30Speaker 7: I would say would be your Tiger, Yes, who else
- 25:34Speaker 7: would be maybe to a lesser degree, Calban Sam Neil?
- 25:41Speaker 7: Or are we doing the New Zealand Well a list
- 25:44Speaker 7: New Zealand, I'm thinking I guess no, international. You know
- 25:49Speaker 7: that's not the prerequisite. That's what not what we're measuring
- 25:51Speaker 7: them against.
- 25:53Speaker 6: Okay, so a list I'll put it.
- 25:56Speaker 4: Was it Tiger? Wait, yes, he would be what does
- 25:59Speaker 4: he do he? Jermaine Reese Derby? It would be in
- 26:05Speaker 4: New Zealand, like everybody knows who he is?
- 26:07Speaker 6: Fair Sam Neil, I see Sam, I'd go like Jon.
- 26:13Speaker 7: Also on there. Yeah, there's not a limited amount of
- 26:16Speaker 7: spaces in the alert.
- 26:20Speaker 5: Barrett which body he because he because he's McCaw, he'd
- 26:28Speaker 5: be on.
- 26:28Speaker 4: The A list. I think you're about the bird.
- 26:30Speaker 5: No, you know, Richie, Richie mcaur yes, a.
- 26:34Speaker 7: Woman on your list, or you're just going to be
- 26:35Speaker 7: sexist about it. I would say, Lord, absolutely, Lord, who
- 26:40Speaker 7: you're going to allow that?
- 26:41Speaker 5: Yes?
- 26:41Speaker 11: Oh the singer.
- 26:44Speaker 7: Kiddy to Canada, Yes, the song bird. I guess what
- 26:51Speaker 7: I'm more interested in really is where's is Hillary Barrier?
- 26:57Speaker 4: Everybody knows it well.
- 26:58Speaker 6: If Hillary Barry's A. But does everybody know who?
- 27:01Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 27:01Speaker 6: No, she is?
- 27:02Speaker 4: She is?
- 27:02Speaker 6: I mean Jeremy Wells as A well because he's on
- 27:05Speaker 6: Hoduck so that would suggest he's not A.
- 27:07Speaker 7: YEAHS slightly, maybe a B plus A minus, but it's okay,
- 27:10Speaker 7: B plus.
- 27:10Speaker 5: Jeremy Jeremy Wells B plus and that's great.
- 27:14Speaker 6: Yes, B is good with B. But Heller is definitely
- 27:17Speaker 6: a Jeremy Wells as B. Who else would be B? Like,
- 27:24Speaker 6: there's a lot of it, mostly bees an't we.
- 27:26Speaker 5: I'd say we're a predominantly B celebrity country.
- 27:29Speaker 7: But I feel like Matt Heath is probably the best
- 27:32Speaker 7: known outside of Jeremy Wells on even though he's not
- 27:36Speaker 7: on here anymore. Yeah, he's not on the same level
- 27:39Speaker 7: as Jeremy Wells's c Lee Hart.
- 27:43Speaker 4: Lee Hart, are you being closer to B? Yeah, he'd
- 27:45Speaker 4: be sort of in your bees.
- 27:46Speaker 7: Yep so, but then also so then Hoidy j you're
- 27:51Speaker 7: not as well known as Matt Heath.
- 27:53Speaker 4: No, oh, you might be a C.
- 27:54Speaker 5: Though I'm thinking if I'm a C, it's a minus,
- 27:59Speaker 5: and if I'm a D at A plus. Yeah, No,
- 28:02Speaker 5: I go D plus.
- 28:04Speaker 6: I think though, because the good thing that you've had
- 28:06Speaker 6: for your career is that clip of you and Nadia Limb.
- 28:09Speaker 6: So people definitely, Oh, you're the cook the man eggs guy.
- 28:12Speaker 5: Oh look, I'm pissing every day on the street. Look,
- 28:14Speaker 5: there's no question about it.
- 28:16Speaker 4: That's B.
- 28:17Speaker 7: But no, because by and lad you can walk down
- 28:19Speaker 7: the street and the vast majority of people don't know
- 28:21Speaker 7: who you are, but there are some people who do.
- 28:24Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, okay, cool.
- 28:26Speaker 4: So I'll put Jason was he C C minus? D plus? Okay?
- 28:30Speaker 4: What do you put yourself jameson? You put yourself D plus?
- 28:33Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 28:34Speaker 5: Yeah, I put you C plus.
- 28:36Speaker 4: I think.
- 28:39Speaker 7: I think maybe when the shows were coming out, maybe
- 28:42Speaker 7: more people then, but now people.
- 28:43Speaker 6: Are like, who well into paranormal?
- 28:46Speaker 7: Yeah, I had I had an experience today that absolutely
- 28:48Speaker 7: puts me as far down the bottom as of d Well.
- 28:52Speaker 7: There is no E goes as well as D and
- 28:54Speaker 7: if you're not on D, then you're not on the
- 28:55Speaker 7: list at all. So maybe that's right. And maybe I'm
- 28:57Speaker 7: not on the.
- 28:57Speaker 4: List, you're D.
- 28:58Speaker 6: So I'll chuck you in and I guess I'm c
- 29:00Speaker 6: all right, we'll wrap things up. Do you want to
- 29:01Speaker 6: come back?
- 29:02Speaker 7: I think we'll come back. I'll tell you this yin
- 29:03Speaker 7: about what him to me today. But it was funny
- 29:05Speaker 7: because then you brought this up in the chat Jose
- 29:07Speaker 7: about celebrity and I had just that minute, had an experience. Yes,
- 29:11Speaker 7: that really put me in my place.
- 29:13Speaker 6: I wish I was there for it. What number were
- 29:14Speaker 6: up to?
- 29:15Speaker 4: Chase one O two?
- 29:15Speaker 5: I believe the Nothing.
- 29:17Speaker 8: But nineties Countdown on Radio Hdarchy one hundred and two,

- 29:32Speaker 5: Ozzie Osbourne for your feelers. We're talking New Zealand celebrities, A, B,
- 29:37Speaker 5: C and D list.
- 29:38Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right.
- 29:40Speaker 6: We've kind of established that the A list celebs are
- 29:42Speaker 6: like your takeaway TC's you're really famous famous, all black
- 29:45Speaker 6: Rachel Hunter of course three four eight three Lord is
- 29:49Speaker 6: on there. Jase allowed that to happen. Jimmy Wells is
- 29:52Speaker 6: B list along with Lee Hart, et cetera, Matt Heath
- 29:55Speaker 6: CE List with wap to the B. Jase is also
- 29:58Speaker 6: he's put himself on the sea then Keezy of course,
- 30:01Speaker 6: and Mikeno, you're you've got a feeling today that you've
- 30:04Speaker 6: been bumped down to the D maybe you.
- 30:06Speaker 7: Know, it's hard to it's hard to tell through one experience,
- 30:09Speaker 7: but yeah, I had I had a man over today
- 30:12Speaker 7: and he came over and we got to you know,
- 30:16Speaker 7: he started doing the work I had.
- 30:18Speaker 4: I'm doing some work around the house.
- 30:19Speaker 7: He was high a habby actually excellent, really really good.
- 30:24Speaker 7: But anyway, after about fifteen or twenty minutes, he goes, oh,
- 30:27Speaker 7: so it is a backbone, you know, sort of our
- 30:29Speaker 7: sort of a backbone, sort of a felowy And he says, oh, so, so,
- 30:34Speaker 7: so what do you do for a job for a crush.
- 30:37Speaker 7: And I'm like, oh, here we go, here we go,
- 30:39Speaker 7: and I said I'm on the I'm on the radio.
- 30:41Speaker 4: Goes oh here which station?
- 30:43Speaker 7: And I said radio Hodechi and he said, oh yeah, man,
- 30:47Speaker 7: I used to listen to that all the time back
- 30:49Speaker 7: in the day.
- 30:50Speaker 6: So yeah, you do get a lot of that.
- 30:54Speaker 7: So yeah, I sort of thought, because it asked the question,
- 30:57Speaker 7: that he had a feeling that he'd seen me before
- 30:59Speaker 7: or something like that or sort of knew me somehow,
- 31:01Speaker 7: but it wasn't because he hadn't listened to us for years.
- 31:03Speaker 4: So that was good. Yeah, And then he kept on
- 31:07Speaker 4: doing some more work. Now.
- 31:08Speaker 7: One of the jobs that he had to do keyser.
- 31:09Speaker 7: You'll be happy about this, brother. He also went to
- 31:11Speaker 7: our office and he's fixed the toilet door because you
- 31:14Speaker 7: blew the door over ages ago, but it's been bagging
- 31:17Speaker 7: for a long time. Anyway, he's fixing away. There is
- 31:20Speaker 7: fixing way. He has done that, and I'm waiting for
- 31:22Speaker 7: him to finish so I can leave. And you know,
- 31:26Speaker 7: he's sort of been yelling away all day and walk
- 31:28Speaker 7: out the door. He's finished, he's packing up his track.
- 31:31Speaker 7: I come out the door and I've been I'm locking,
- 31:35Speaker 7: locking the door, locking up, and he goes, ah, man,
- 31:38Speaker 7: can I just get a quick photo?
- 31:40Speaker 4: And I was like, yeah, man, no worries, no worries.
- 31:43Speaker 7: And I sort of wept to my arm around the
- 31:45Speaker 7: show and He's like, oh, of you. Nah, No, I
- 31:50Speaker 7: mean of the job I've just done.
- 31:55Speaker 5: No, that's so good.
- 31:58Speaker 6: That is aish, that's excellent.
- 32:01Speaker 4: I had been let all that.
- 32:02Speaker 7: There's a couple of other comments that made me think that,
- 32:05Speaker 7: you know, he did know me from something, and so
- 32:07Speaker 7: normally I would never ever Yeah, but when somebody says
- 32:11Speaker 7: to you, can I just get a photo? Yes, you
- 32:14Speaker 7: assume that they want a photo with you, not your
- 32:18Speaker 7: door on your shitter. So I think that puts me
- 32:23Speaker 7: somewhere around D E.
- 32:25Speaker 5: No, i'd say, you're like me C minus D plus.
- 32:30Speaker 5: My favorite one of that, and I've told you this before,
- 32:32Speaker 5: was an a petrol station and the guy behind the
- 32:35Speaker 5: behind the counter there said, ah, do I know you men?
- 32:39Speaker 5: And I went here we go a labyrinth. I don't
- 32:44Speaker 5: know men, But he said, oh, you just got a
- 32:46Speaker 5: really familiar face. And I said, ah, you know a
- 32:49Speaker 5: lot of people say that to me. And he said
- 32:51Speaker 5: to me, have you ever been to prison?
- 32:56Speaker 2: The Hdarchy big show was Jason, Mike and Kyzy tune
- 32:59Speaker 2: in on radio.
- 33:02Speaker 5: Welcome back to your Massive Backbones with us is a
- 33:05Speaker 5: special treat and actually fellows have been thinking about it.
- 33:07Speaker 5: We've had a lot of comedians in this week. Hasn't
- 33:09Speaker 5: it been great? Have you guys been loving it?
- 33:12Speaker 6: It's been so good man, I love it, man, it's
- 33:14Speaker 6: just awesome.
- 33:16Speaker 5: Speaking of great comedians, we've got Paul Douglas in the
- 33:19Speaker 5: studio with us, get a massive backbone house life.
- 33:23Speaker 13: Oh life's good man, And thanks for supporting the comedy
- 33:26Speaker 13: industry because we're clearly not struggling at all. No, and
- 33:29Speaker 13: desperately clamoring to our radio friends.
- 33:32Speaker 5: Well, I you know, I have a very good friend
- 33:34Speaker 5: who's quite a well known comedian. I won't go into
- 33:38Speaker 5: his name. He was obsessive about ticket sales and banging
- 33:43Speaker 5: on about. He was constantly ringing people finding out how
- 33:46Speaker 5: many tickets were sold, always disappointed with the answer. By
- 33:50Speaker 5: do you know what I mean? It was like okay,
- 33:53Speaker 5: But producing him you would have just been going, oh god,
- 33:59Speaker 5: what did I What was I thinking.
- 34:01Speaker 13: The same, same same jokes twenty years later? Of course, yes, yeah, yeah,
- 34:05Speaker 13: And where.
- 34:06Speaker 11: Is he now? I don't know, do you guys do
- 34:08Speaker 11: you broadcast to.
- 34:09Speaker 5: Oh no, no, we don't just on that front. I mean,
- 34:13Speaker 5: there must be there is a threeshold for comedians. Surely
- 34:17Speaker 5: when you reach a point where you go, ah, you
- 34:18Speaker 5: know what, I'm just going to do the same old
- 34:21Speaker 5: material over and over again because I can't be asked
- 34:24Speaker 5: and creatively I'm burnt. I'm burnt out completely.
- 34:27Speaker 6: Is that you, Paul Douglas.
- 34:29Speaker 13: I would argue that stand up comedy invented phoning it in. Yes,
- 34:34Speaker 13: in fact, in fact there's it's run rampant because of
- 34:37Speaker 13: crowd work. All that is is phoning it in at
- 34:39Speaker 13: the moment.
- 34:39Speaker 6: Yeah, I've heard that. So if you're a crowd work
- 34:41Speaker 6: comedian from where ice because Mogi crowd work Mogi, Yeah,
- 34:44Speaker 6: famously an expert at crowd work, which.
- 34:46Speaker 4: Was exactly that reason is why I did it because
- 34:49Speaker 4: it was fun.
- 34:49Speaker 6: Because it didn't prep anything. And but then you go
- 34:52Speaker 6: watch a really good crowd work comedian, you go, wow,
- 34:54Speaker 6: they're but that I didn't realize this in the stand
- 34:58Speaker 6: up comedy world, that's kind of like you have an
- 35:00Speaker 6: actually prepped anything, We'll just go and see how it goes. Situation.
- 35:03Speaker 13: Well, it's actually more of a monster that developed over
- 35:05Speaker 13: recent years that didn't crowd work was just a byproduct
- 35:09Speaker 13: of people being difficult. Yes, yes, right, And then somewhere
- 35:14Speaker 13: along the line somebody was like you know what this is.
- 35:16Speaker 4: Really, I can force the.
- 35:18Speaker 13: Crowd into being difficult, they will say the majority of
- 35:22Speaker 13: the funny things, and I will reap the benefits.
- 35:25Speaker 6: Yeah, it's genius.
- 35:26Speaker 5: Really, it's interesting, how you know, because there's always been
- 35:30Speaker 5: the fery too with stand up comics, and I got
- 35:32Speaker 5: this a lot. Was that stand up comics. I mean
- 35:35Speaker 5: you basically can't do any other job, you know what
- 35:37Speaker 5: I mean.
- 35:38Speaker 11: You're at least you're scared to.
- 35:40Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, stand up comedy is one of those
- 35:42Speaker 5: things you go, oh, you know, as Brandon used to say,
- 35:44Speaker 5: I can get up at three in the afternoon and
- 35:46Speaker 5: then sleeping, you know what I mean. Yeah, but that
- 35:50Speaker 5: wasn't the case. Well, have you had other jobs, Paul.
- 35:52Speaker 13: Yeah, I mean I've I've been a deputy REGISTRAI at
- 35:55Speaker 13: a courthouse.
- 35:56Speaker 4: You got it all the way up to deputy.
- 35:58Speaker 13: Yeah, deputy No, I didn't, actually, but I used to.
- 36:03Speaker 13: I used to wear big suits on purpose.
- 36:08Speaker 4: Judge.
- 36:08Speaker 13: Yeah, well I used to just see how big I
- 36:10Speaker 13: could get the suit before the judge and he did.
- 36:13Speaker 13: He snapped me because I turned up looking like David
- 36:15Speaker 13: Byrne and talking heads and he was a site. No,
- 36:20Speaker 13: you've got to get out of here. So it was
- 36:21Speaker 13: my previous job. There was the last time I had
- 36:23Speaker 13: a unquote normal John was he like, what you.
- 36:25Speaker 6: Think you some kind of comedian?
- 36:27Speaker 13: And you were like, hang about, That's exactly what Judeth
- 36:29Speaker 13: Colin said to me. Actually really Yeah. She came up
- 36:32Speaker 13: to the desk and I made a joke and she says,
- 36:34Speaker 13: what do you think you're a comedian? Then my weork
- 36:35Speaker 13: mate said, he's actually just started about good luck.
- 36:40Speaker 4: She's got a great tis of humor.
- 36:41Speaker 11: Yeah she does. She didn't scowl at me at all.
- 36:44Speaker 5: I did did an interview with her on a TV
- 36:46Speaker 5: show once, Jude of Colin's Colin Colin.
- 36:50Speaker 4: I love the idea of Colin.
- 36:53Speaker 5: She's quite an intimidating woman in her own way, but
- 36:56Speaker 5: she does have a sense of humor. So tell us
- 36:57Speaker 5: about this tour of yours. Could be because I was
- 37:00Speaker 5: reading your little blurb.
- 37:02Speaker 4: There, not to minimize what you're doing anyway, boy, Well yeah.
- 37:12Speaker 5: Because you I mean, you know, we're all sort of
- 37:14Speaker 5: back in the day we were party animals, but we're
- 37:17Speaker 5: getting of an age now where Paul and I, what
- 37:25Speaker 5: could you know, could be keen because you know, we
- 37:28Speaker 5: can't push the boat out like we used to.
- 37:30Speaker 13: That's exactly what it is. You've nailed it on the head.
- 37:32Speaker 13: It's really I just don't like that you see on
- 37:34Speaker 13: social media. Tell me why is the opposite of somebody
- 37:37Speaker 13: who's a party animal now all of a sudden, like
- 37:40Speaker 13: endurance sports marathons.
- 37:42Speaker 11: Ultra marathons.
- 37:43Speaker 13: Yes, it's like there's a whole middle ground in there
- 37:45Speaker 13: of just drinking a few beers and a fun run.
- 37:49Speaker 11: You know what I mean. That's what I'm preaching is
- 37:51Speaker 11: you don't have to give it all up.
- 37:54Speaker 7: Well, if you've got a monitor self control, which I don't.
- 37:59Speaker 7: That's what my wife's saying to me. It's so nice
- 38:01Speaker 7: just having a glass of wine. Why don't you just
- 38:03Speaker 7: have a glass of wine. It's not well because I'm
- 38:05Speaker 7: an insane addict.
- 38:06Speaker 11: That's true.
- 38:08Speaker 7: Finish the bottle off and then another couple of bottles
- 38:11Speaker 7: and that's just as good. You know, it's even better
- 38:13Speaker 7: than having one glass of wine. It was having three
- 38:15Speaker 7: bottles of wine responsibly.
- 38:17Speaker 11: System you're running there.
- 38:19Speaker 4: I love it. I was absolutely the same.
- 38:22Speaker 5: In fact, I would go to a dinner party and
- 38:25Speaker 5: if there are only two bottles of wine and like
- 38:27Speaker 5: sex adults, I wouldn't bother drinking really because there wasn't
- 38:30Speaker 5: enough to satisfying.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Yeah, because I'm not having a glass.
- 38:33Speaker 5: Of wine your losers.
- 38:35Speaker 13: You know what they say? One is one is not enough, yes,
- 38:41Speaker 13: and a million is no. One is one is too many,
- 38:45Speaker 13: and a thousand's not enough.
- 38:48Speaker 11: Yeah, when you get it right, it is.
- 38:51Speaker 4: I came back.
- 38:51Speaker 6: Hey, we've got comedian Paul Douglas here with us. But fellers,
- 38:54Speaker 6: should we take your break and go to a quick chin?
- 38:56Speaker 6: Oh no, it's too late, I've started, So I reckon
- 39:01Speaker 6: and then just come back in. Yeah, and we'll leave
- 39:02Speaker 6: it in the same yep.
- 39:04Speaker 7: Cool.
- 39:06Speaker 5: Yeah, welcome back. We've got comedian Paul Douglas who's doing
- 39:09Speaker 5: his tour. Could be keen, Now, I've got to be
- 39:11Speaker 5: honest with you, Paul. When if I were to say
- 39:14Speaker 5: could be keen, that means no.
- 39:17Speaker 4: That's funny, isn't it.
- 39:19Speaker 13: Yeah, well it's I mean you can air on the
- 39:20Speaker 13: side of because your four levels you're dealing with is
- 39:22Speaker 13: not keen, could be keen, keen and too keen yes, okay,
- 39:26Speaker 13: and so theoretically too keen and not keena, like I
- 39:32Speaker 13: could be keen of like hyper positions you know what
- 39:33Speaker 13: I mean, you're kind of existing in the middle, so
- 39:36Speaker 13: you air on the side of always no.
- 39:38Speaker 5: Yeah, well no, because I've forced myself now because I
- 39:41Speaker 5: was becoming such an anti social bastard, you know what
- 39:44Speaker 5: I mean, that I had to actually go and actually
- 39:47Speaker 5: do things, you know what I mean. Otherwise I was
- 39:50Speaker 5: seriously becoming a hermit.
- 39:52Speaker 11: Well, this is something.
- 39:53Speaker 13: This is just to let you know if you listen
- 39:54Speaker 13: to this, Like I apply this to the party lifestyle,
- 39:56Speaker 13: but you could apply this to anything. You know, if
- 39:58Speaker 13: you're not getting out there to you taekwondo classes and
- 40:02Speaker 13: you know, the boys are like, where are you now?
- 40:04Speaker 13: Then well I'm sorry, I just haven't been that keen
- 40:06Speaker 13: lately and they're just asking you just get that up
- 40:08Speaker 13: to a kid.
- 40:09Speaker 11: Yep, we'll work on a keene.
- 40:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:11Speaker 6: Where are you going for your tour? Paul?
- 40:13Speaker 13: Okay, So we actually had a little we ran it
- 40:16Speaker 13: back because it's technically the show I did in the
- 40:17Speaker 13: comedy Fist. We're the first one in Auckland last week.
- 40:19Speaker 13: We are going to christ Church this Saturday.
- 40:23Speaker 5: Might yeah nice.
- 40:26Speaker 13: Then we're in Fidianger on September twelfth. No good, ye
- 40:30Speaker 13: mighty monkey House. It's a great little venue over there
- 40:33Speaker 13: that puts on all sorts of wicked stuff, so check
- 40:35Speaker 13: them out. Then I'm down at the Sherwood Hotel in
- 40:39Speaker 13: Queenstown on Friday, September nineteenth, twentieth and one occur at
- 40:43Speaker 13: the Rhyme and Reason Brewery, and then the last show
- 40:48Speaker 13: I believe.
- 40:49Speaker 4: Listened to how slow you're saying it so you can't
- 40:51Speaker 4: remember what it is is October.
- 40:53Speaker 6: I'm impressed that you've got the dates and names of
- 40:55Speaker 6: the venues committed.
- 40:56Speaker 11: To twenty third Yes, San Francisco.
- 40:58Speaker 6: But to know, well done, man, well done.
- 41:01Speaker 11: I got a hell of a memory, guys, it's pretty amazing.
- 41:04Speaker 5: Yeah, that is.
- 41:04Speaker 6: It's a huge till you're doing, man.
- 41:06Speaker 5: I mean it is his tour.
- 41:07Speaker 4: I mean he did.
- 41:09Speaker 7: Just because we're giving Paul a little bit of credit
- 41:11Speaker 7: and a little bit of kude, it doesn't mean we
- 41:12Speaker 7: don't love you, man, Man, We love you, Yeah, I know,
- 41:15Speaker 7: And I mean.
- 41:16Speaker 5: It feels like you're not giving me any I mean,
- 41:18Speaker 5: I mean, if I was touring, i'd remember where I
- 41:20Speaker 5: was touring.
- 41:20Speaker 4: I know you wouldn't.
- 41:22Speaker 5: Where do we go?
- 41:22Speaker 6: Last week with the show Pardon Paul Douglas, comedian friend
- 41:27Speaker 6: of the show, I'd say, when are you going to
- 41:29Speaker 6: invite me and Jason how to play golf?
- 41:31Speaker 5: Man?
- 41:33Speaker 4: I told you this.
- 41:34Speaker 6: He plays all the time with your old comedy buddies.
- 41:37Speaker 13: Now when I hold on hold on all the time
- 41:39Speaker 13: is like an old thing. I've actually just had to
- 41:41Speaker 13: throw in my membership. Really yeah, well, I did the math,
- 41:46Speaker 13: and I was going to maybe be able to get
- 41:48Speaker 13: for two weekends. But then when you're not on the
- 41:50Speaker 13: road gigging and stuff, you can't exactly go out golfing
- 41:52Speaker 13: and annoy your wife. So I was like, I don't
- 41:55Speaker 13: know how much I'm going to be able to play.
- 41:56Speaker 13: So I'm now actually is a good thing, though, I'm
- 41:58Speaker 13: a free agent. So I come out, come out to
- 42:00Speaker 13: the mighty what tuckety range.
- 42:02Speaker 5: We play out. Yeah, I'm looking for golfing buddies. I
- 42:06Speaker 5: get to play on Monday and Keys he pulled out last.
- 42:09Speaker 11: Let me know, man, I'm all over it and I
- 42:11Speaker 11: love him midweek which suits you guys.
- 42:12Speaker 6: Yeah, he actually, yeah, it could be keen to join Jason.
- 42:16Speaker 6: That means I'm not going to come Ah got hey,
- 42:23Speaker 6: Paul Douglas Man, thank you so much for coming in, bro.

- 43:21Speaker 4: Oh nixt so I thought you're talking about number one
- 43:24Speaker 4: for tomorrow.
- 43:24Speaker 5: Yeah, that's not next.

- 43:34Speaker 7: If there's yeah, yeah, yeah, that'll be Lenny Kravitz all
- 43:38Speaker 7: of my life.
- 43:39Speaker 4: No, we had not that one.
- 43:40Speaker 5: I'm pretty more than one song. I'm pretty certain I
- 43:43Speaker 5: know number ninety four.

- 44:24Speaker 6: that Pugs has made for you.
- 44:25Speaker 4: Can you do that again for you?
- 44:30Speaker 6: That was my spaguring because he said it wrong. That's
- 44:35Speaker 6: right time, and now it's sting out of it.
- 44:41Speaker 5: It's so good that we've decided to make stings out
- 44:44Speaker 5: of all of our stuff.
- 44:48Speaker 7: That was really recognizable. Yes, yes, we'll put that on
- 44:52Speaker 7: a T shirt as well, will we?
- 44:53Speaker 5: Spaguring?
- 44:54Speaker 6: I guess that's I mean, Jason made a mistake once
- 44:57Speaker 6: and now it's a stinger on a T shirt.
- 44:59Speaker 5: I think so, Fellows. You know I did that deliberately, don't.
- 45:02Speaker 4: You come on? Man, you're full of nobody.
- 45:05Speaker 5: I just wanted you guys to feel better about all
- 45:07Speaker 5: your stuff up.
- 45:07Speaker 4: You don't want us to feel better, man, Yeah I do.
- 45:12Speaker 5: I want you to go away from the show feeling
- 45:15Speaker 5: really top of your game.
- 45:17Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, hey, speaking top of our game. The Old
- 45:21Speaker 6: Wars there, Yes, they're playing a game of foot. They're
- 45:24Speaker 6: playing tomorrow night, aren't they.
- 45:25Speaker 4: Against the Eels at eight pm kickoff?
- 45:30Speaker 6: And I've just just speaking of Pugs there in studio
- 45:32Speaker 6: be and he was saying that we've got a double
- 45:34Speaker 6: pass to give away to that game, and no, I
- 45:37Speaker 6: think we should.
- 45:38Speaker 7: People don't even want to go on to the Wars.
- 45:41Speaker 7: With the season, it feels like the shine's gone off
- 45:43Speaker 7: at man. People aren't talking about the Wars like they
- 45:45Speaker 7: used to be. I think you're right, Jase, No the Wars.
- 45:48Speaker 7: We're top four. Man, this is a bloody exciting game.
- 45:51Speaker 7: We need to win this to stand in the top four.
- 45:53Speaker 6: And if you are in the Auckland area or driveaball
- 45:55Speaker 6: and you would like a double pass, give us a
- 45:57Speaker 6: call now on eight hundred holder.
- 45:58Speaker 5: Hey, Keezy, the Eels.
- 46:00Speaker 6: It they are that literally like bottom of the table,
- 46:04Speaker 6: one of the worst teams. However, they have started to
- 46:05Speaker 6: play really well.
- 46:06Speaker 7: Right Okay, I've got a really good half back. It's
- 46:09Speaker 7: starting to come together. The coach last year got rid
- 46:11Speaker 7: of a few players, made some big calls, but the
- 46:12Speaker 7: young fellows starting to go good. Jason, looks like things
- 46:15Speaker 7: are starting to make scenes down there. Parameta brother, Yeah, man, but.
- 46:18Speaker 6: Hopefully we still pump them by. Yeah O one hundred
- 46:21Speaker 6: Hodak if you like a double pass to that game.

- 47:35Speaker 5: Speaking of prizes, we've got to double pass to the
- 47:37Speaker 5: Wars tomorrow night. Who I believe even playing the Eels
- 47:40Speaker 5: at Mount Smart Stadium with that of mine. We've got
- 47:43Speaker 5: Harry on the line. Good eight, Harry, you mad barth At?
- 47:45Speaker 4: How's live? Good sellers? How are you? Yeah? Good? Thanks?
- 47:48Speaker 5: Mate?
- 47:49Speaker 4: What do you do for a crust? Harry?
- 47:52Speaker 10: I'm a data engineer?
- 47:53Speaker 4: Mate? Ah, back line? Jeez, man, tell me all about it, Harry, brother.
- 47:59Speaker 4: Who's your favorite Warriors player? Man?
- 48:02Speaker 5: Favorite Warriors currently?
- 48:07Speaker 9: Probably here he is.
- 48:10Speaker 4: I just got to get it. That was a tear
- 48:11Speaker 4: in your past.
- 48:12Speaker 6: Who's your favorite data engineer?
- 48:14Speaker 10: That's a good one, good question, mate, Probably none of them.
- 48:18Speaker 4: Yeah, hey, Harry, who are you going to.
- 48:23Speaker 5: Take with you?
- 48:23Speaker 4: Mate?
- 48:25Speaker 6: To take my partner?
- 48:27Speaker 5: Well, you don't have to sound so pained about it, man,
- 48:34Speaker 5: All right, Harry? What's the score? Warriors thirty two twelve? Nice?
- 48:43Speaker 6: I like it sitting place. I hope that happens, Harry.
- 48:46Speaker 6: Enjoy the game, mate, You and your partner have a
- 48:48Speaker 6: great time, right.
- 48:49Speaker 4: Yeah, man, awesome, Thank you so much. Guys, appreciate it now. Good.
- 48:54Speaker 5: So what was his job?
- 48:55Speaker 7: He was a data engineer, right, so that's you know,
- 48:59Speaker 7: when you're on your own, Jason, you don't know what's
- 49:01Speaker 7: going on.
- 49:02Speaker 4: Yeah, he does that.
- 49:03Speaker 6: Yeah, so you know when your phone is out of data?
- 49:06Speaker 4: Ah, okay, back you buy more data?
- 49:09Speaker 6: Yeah, you call him, he'll bring around more data.
- 49:11Speaker 4: I thought data was like stuff.
- 49:13Speaker 6: Yeah, stuff what the website?
- 49:15Speaker 5: No, not like stuff the website like but you know
- 49:18Speaker 5: you've got data on Yeah, okay, it makes sense.
- 49:20Speaker 6: So next time you need more data, call Harry and
- 49:23Speaker 6: he'll bring you some more and he'll sort of engineer
- 49:25Speaker 6: it into your phone.
- 49:26Speaker 9: Well.
- 49:26Speaker 5: Funnily enough, I got a message today saying I've used
- 49:29Speaker 5: one hundred percent of my data.
- 49:30Speaker 7: There you go, Harry, Yeah, bugger, it sounds like he's
- 49:35Speaker 7: knocked off for the night. You have to wait till tomorrow.
- 49:36Speaker 6: God, you watch a lot of porn. One hundred percent.
- 49:40Speaker 2: The Hdarchy Big Show week days from four on Radio
- 49:43Speaker 2: Hold ik.
- 49:44Speaker 5: Harry, Am there on the Radio Hodarchy Big Show this
- 49:47Speaker 5: Thursday afternoon.
- 49:48Speaker 4: Other person we're about to tap to chat to.
- 49:52Speaker 5: His name is Morgan Bartram, and he's an absolute backbone
- 49:55Speaker 5: and he's about to cycle six hundred and seventeen kilometers
- 49:59Speaker 5: for a ver very important and good cause he joins
- 50:02Speaker 5: us on the show.
- 50:03Speaker 4: Now, gooda Morgan, your mad Barstard?
- 50:05Speaker 5: How's life hey mate?
- 50:06Speaker 11: How are you?
- 50:07Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 50:07Speaker 4: Very good? Thanks?
- 50:08Speaker 6: Yeah, very good Morgan. Get a kezy here. When Jay
- 50:11Speaker 6: says cycle, he does, of course mean run.
- 50:14Speaker 4: Ah is it run?
- 50:15Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 50:15Speaker 6: Even harder? Jason's insane. That is insane. And it's one
- 50:20Speaker 6: hundred kilometers a day for six days and you're finishing
- 50:23Speaker 6: off on the seventh day. Man, how did this idea
- 50:25Speaker 6: come about?
- 50:27Speaker 10: So six hundred and seventeen is the number of kiwis
- 50:31Speaker 10: switched to be like last year, And when I saw
- 50:34Speaker 10: it at stat I was like, man, that's way too
- 50:36Speaker 10: many kiwi's, so I can't keep happening. So I was like,
- 50:40Speaker 10: I was going to do some I think, and what
- 50:42Speaker 10: better way than put myself through that one one k
- 50:46Speaker 10: per person?
- 50:47Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 50:47Speaker 9: Right? Have you?
- 50:49Speaker 6: I mean, what's your experience with like long distance running, man,
- 50:51Speaker 6: because that's pretty brutal stuff.
- 50:53Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 50:53Speaker 10: I've done a few autramaripons, but never backed that like
- 50:56Speaker 10: day after day after day. But man, it's just one
- 50:59Speaker 10: step at a time, isn't it. Sorry, I could just
- 51:01Speaker 10: push myself.
- 51:02Speaker 6: Yeah right, I mean I have no idea. The furthest
- 51:04Speaker 6: I've run is like five kilometers and even then, once
- 51:07Speaker 6: I passed that one kilometer mark, I'm deep in the
- 51:09Speaker 6: hurt locker. What are you?
- 51:11Speaker 4: Like?
- 51:12Speaker 6: What do you do to even get past that stage?
- 51:13Speaker 6: Because it's like such a brutal stage to be in
- 51:15Speaker 6: when you're thinking about what's ahead of you? How do
- 51:16Speaker 6: you block it out?
- 51:18Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 51:18Speaker 10: You just have to break it down, man. It's like
- 51:21Speaker 10: you can't think, oh, I've got four hundred k to go,
- 51:23Speaker 10: three hundred k to go. You just have to think, now,
- 51:26Speaker 10: I'll do one will app, just one will ap at
- 51:28Speaker 10: the time, and break it down that way and eventually
- 51:31Speaker 10: you'll get there. But yeah, after purpose as the purpose,
- 51:35Speaker 10: this is something that's congered than the pain, You'll see
- 51:37Speaker 10: you always get something done.
- 51:39Speaker 5: Yeah, right, that is actually phenomenal. One hundred k a
- 51:43Speaker 5: day And my apologies, Morgan, I thought you were cycling it,
- 51:47Speaker 5: but ae hundred k a day running? Yeah, this phenomenal.
- 51:50Speaker 5: And let's be let's be frank Man. Six hundred and
- 51:53Speaker 5: seventeen suicides. That is an horrific figure. And mental illness
- 51:58Speaker 5: and mental health such a significant issue in our society today.
- 52:04Speaker 10: Yeah, man, And like through this event, I just want
- 52:06Speaker 10: to raise them awareness and like, I'm just a kid
- 52:09Speaker 10: doing it. So through like you guys and the community
- 52:12Speaker 10: people coming down to run with me, we can make
- 52:15Speaker 10: a difference. Look, I listened to Jason Mike's podcast with
- 52:20Speaker 10: Angie and you guys are talking about your battles. It's
- 52:23Speaker 10: pretty cool to see people like that out there. And yeah,
- 52:25Speaker 10: it's just like no one's alone in this battle.
- 52:28Speaker 6: So yeah, so Morgan there is chatting about the Mental
- 52:32Speaker 6: as Anything podcast and you did it and you guys
- 52:35Speaker 6: spoke on it of course.
- 52:36Speaker 4: Yes, Morgan, have you got a.
- 52:37Speaker 6: History of any of the stuff yourself?
- 52:39Speaker 4: Man?
- 52:40Speaker 10: What's that? Sorry?
- 52:40Speaker 6: Have you got a history of dealing with mental health
- 52:43Speaker 6: issues and things yourself?
- 52:44Speaker 10: Yeah? Yeah man, yeah, Like and by doing this event,
- 52:48Speaker 10: I'll be labeled as a bit of a weapon or
- 52:51Speaker 10: a savage.
- 52:51Speaker 4: But even now, backbone, Yeah, I.
- 52:54Speaker 10: Still get I still had my days and get low
- 52:56Speaker 10: time to time.
- 52:57Speaker 7: And yeah, well that's the thing though, isn't as well?
- 53:00Speaker 7: It's finding the things that can help you manage your
- 53:03Speaker 7: mental health. And I think a big part of that
- 53:05Speaker 7: is fitness. There's other crutches that people use, you know,
- 53:11Speaker 7: alcohol and all those sorts of things which are only
- 53:13Speaker 7: really a temporary remedy and then the next day you
- 53:16Speaker 7: feel even worse. I think that the fitness side of
- 53:20Speaker 7: things is a big helper, and I'm assuming it's the
- 53:21Speaker 7: same for.
- 53:22Speaker 9: You, yeah, man, Yeah, definitely.
- 53:24Speaker 10: When I was a bit younger, I was a bit
- 53:26Speaker 10: of a drink and now I've just sort of changed
- 53:30Speaker 10: into running and digits through the left in and yeah, fitness,
- 53:34Speaker 10: even though it could suck at the time, you're always
- 53:35Speaker 10: kind of feel one hundred better afterwards, and you'll be
- 53:39Speaker 10: proud of yourself and if you're part of yourself or
- 53:40Speaker 10: then you feel good.
- 53:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 53:42Speaker 7: And also there's you know, I guess, the awareness around it.
- 53:46Speaker 7: It can happen to anybody and really normalizing that conversation.
- 53:51Speaker 7: Of course, the news coming through in the last couple
- 53:53Speaker 7: of days about the multi all black Shane Christie who
- 53:56Speaker 7: passed a suspected suicide, So this isn't some think that's
- 54:00Speaker 7: exclusively happening to people that might be regarded by society
- 54:04Speaker 7: as down and out.
- 54:06Speaker 10: Yeah, for sure, man, Like, and that's why I was
- 54:09Speaker 10: like brilliant to see you guys go on a podcast
- 54:11Speaker 10: and talk about your experiences, because people will look up
- 54:15Speaker 10: to you and think as a comedians and there's like
- 54:17Speaker 10: no way. But everyone goes through some stuff one way
- 54:20Speaker 10: or another. And yeah, it's just community and raising awareness.
- 54:25Speaker 6: Yeah, Morgan Bartram about to I believe Monday you set
- 54:29Speaker 6: off Morgan running six hundred and seventeen kilometers. That is
- 54:34Speaker 6: one kilometer for every person who's on their own life
- 54:36Speaker 6: last year. How can people keep up with what you're doing, Morgan?
- 54:39Speaker 6: And also if they would like to donate to the cause,
- 54:41Speaker 6: how can they do that?
- 54:42Speaker 10: Yeah, so it's on my Instagram Morgie Bartram and there's
- 54:47Speaker 10: a link to donate otherwise, South Hagley Park seven am
- 54:52Speaker 10: start every day.
- 54:53Speaker 4: Wow, I'll be there counting rats.
- 54:55Speaker 10: Come on down and have a yarn. More people to
- 54:59Speaker 10: better and I'll say the Thursday Friday they are going
- 55:02Speaker 10: to be long days. So if you're coming at night time,
- 55:04Speaker 10: we'll be still there.
- 55:05Speaker 6: Good on you, Morgan. We'll share your video on our
- 55:07Speaker 6: story on Ducky Big Shows. Instagram will also flick your
- 55:10Speaker 6: fifty old reburg about you for your recovery man. Right,
- 55:12Speaker 6: Oh yeah, awesome mate, get on here, mate.
- 55:17Speaker 5: Yeah, they do amazing, amazing price more than all the
- 55:19Speaker 5: best of your backbone Ja.
- 55:21Speaker 2: Yes, the Whoarchy Big show was Jason, Mike and Kyzy
- 55:27Speaker 2: tune in four on radio.
- 55:30Speaker 4: Man, that's a tune. I do like that song actually
- 55:35Speaker 4: in the sun.
- 55:36Speaker 6: Then they've got their first album. I think it might
- 55:39Speaker 6: even be their only album. Was it an absolute doozy?
- 55:41Speaker 6: It's some great summary tunes.
- 55:42Speaker 4: On Oh Man?
- 55:45Speaker 7: I mean, you guys could It just makes me melancholy
- 55:49Speaker 7: thinking about it because that was such a great time
- 55:50Speaker 7: of our lives, Jos.
- 55:51Speaker 4: Wasn't it?
- 55:52Speaker 5: I guess?
- 55:53Speaker 9: So?
- 55:53Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 55:53Speaker 5: When was that again?
- 55:56Speaker 4: About fifteen year ago? Was it far? Hours?
- 55:58Speaker 6: While ago?
- 55:59Speaker 4: Twenty four? But yeah, twenty for you when that album
- 56:02Speaker 4: came out was well, no, I mean.
- 56:04Speaker 5: The best time of my life?
- 56:05Speaker 6: Oh yeah?
- 56:06Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah. I mean that's the thing, isn't it.
- 56:08Speaker 8: Man?
- 56:09Speaker 4: It's music. I don't know if you find this joke,
- 56:11Speaker 4: but it brings back memories, it does. It does.
- 56:13Speaker 5: That particular song brings back the memory of when I
- 56:16Speaker 5: used to have a hot rod.
- 56:17Speaker 4: Yes, used to a hot rod. It was a hot rod?
- 56:20Speaker 6: No, but what was it a car? No?
- 56:22Speaker 7: No?
- 56:22Speaker 6: But what model was it? What make? Was it?
- 56:24Speaker 4: Really cool?
- 56:25Speaker 6: No?
- 56:25Speaker 9: No? No?
- 56:26Speaker 6: What year was the hot road?
- 56:27Speaker 5: This is about twenty years about twenty years ago.
- 56:30Speaker 4: Yeah, it was cool.
- 56:32Speaker 6: It's just give me a year of the car.
- 56:35Speaker 5: Well, I made it, so twenty years ago it would
- 56:39Speaker 5: have been two thousand and five.
- 56:41Speaker 6: So it was a two thousand and five hot rod. Yes, no,
- 56:43Speaker 6: but what year was the original car that you started
- 56:45Speaker 6: with to turn into a hot road?
- 56:47Speaker 4: I wasn't an original.
- 56:48Speaker 5: I made it myself.
- 56:48Speaker 6: You felt it yourself?
- 56:50Speaker 5: What I was called?
- 56:50Speaker 10: Again?
- 56:51Speaker 4: Hot rods?
- 56:53Speaker 6: Hey, fellers, have you heard of Cranking the Hogs?
- 56:55Speaker 4: Seventeen years ago that album came out.
- 56:56Speaker 6: Yeah, it's actually even longer. I can't believe that're walking
- 56:59Speaker 6: on a dream and great album.
- 57:00Speaker 5: I'm Cranking the Hog?
- 57:01Speaker 4: Yes, I have geezy.
- 57:02Speaker 6: Yeah, it's basically what Jason was trying to allude to there,
- 57:04Speaker 6: where you take a car and then you sort of
- 57:06Speaker 6: hold it up. You crank that hog. And our good
- 57:09Speaker 6: mates at Panhead with the new road Hog I p
- 57:12Speaker 6: a and they've got some cash and they'd like to
- 57:14Speaker 6: put it towards anyone out there who needs their hog cranked,
- 57:17Speaker 6: their car done up.
- 57:18Speaker 4: Yeah. Man, it's an unbelievable deal, isn't it.
- 57:20Speaker 12: Jay?
- 57:20Speaker 4: Do you think about all the things.
- 57:21Speaker 7: Like for me, I'd take my my aqua, oh toyota.
- 57:26Speaker 7: At the moment it's got the old refurbished batteries, shit
- 57:29Speaker 7: the beard. After twelve months, I'll get a new one
- 57:32Speaker 7: of those. Man should be absolutely humming.
- 57:34Speaker 6: But is that really like cranking a cool hog of it?
- 57:37Speaker 5: Did you also call cranking the hog souping it up? Yeah?
- 57:43Speaker 4: Souped up?
- 57:43Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 57:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 57:44Speaker 5: Well, like I say, I'd put on my mas to
- 57:48Speaker 5: axel a couple of mud some mud flaps, mud flaps,
- 57:52Speaker 5: And would you have on those mud flips?
- 57:53Speaker 7: Would it be that the picture of that lady who's
- 57:56Speaker 7: sort of reclining, long leaded leggered lady one because it's
- 58:00Speaker 7: a very popular one amongst the truckies, doesn't it always
- 58:02Speaker 7: see that?
- 58:03Speaker 4: You see that all over?
- 58:03Speaker 6: You must know this Jase is a guy who had
- 58:05Speaker 6: a hot rod.
- 58:06Speaker 5: I tell you what I would to have too, Because
- 58:07Speaker 5: you just reminded me I've changed the subject of the
- 58:10Speaker 5: old truckies. There the old get one of those in
- 58:13Speaker 5: the car. You know how they do the horn and
- 58:17Speaker 5: they do the Hong Kong's.
- 58:18Speaker 7: Nobly when they drive past and there's a like a
