Some people are simply too spiritually sleepy to hear anything, and writing to them is like talking to a drowsy friend who pretends to listen but is nearly unconscious. I recently heard a farmer dismiss every moral and social crisis Chavez, crime, riots, lawlessness because none of it touched him personally; but let a tire blow out and suddenly the whole world is conspiring against him.
