- 0:21Speaker 1: April is done.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Oh my god, a quarter of the way through the year?
- 0:27Speaker 1: Was it a third? Whatever?
- 0:29Speaker 2: I think April is the prettiest looking month.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm definitely biased, but in terms of words, oh yeah,
- 0:38Speaker 1: like in terms of like the ape, like the way
- 0:41Speaker 1: April looks as a word, I think it's the prettiest month.
- 0:43Speaker 2: I like September.
- 0:44Speaker 1: September is good. I was also gonna say November is
- 0:47Speaker 1: potentially up there. What do you think is the ugliest
- 0:50Speaker 1: looking March? No, January is pretty ugly.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Yeah, January is not great.
- 0:58Speaker 1: January has a good vibe to it, so it's okay.
- 1:01Speaker 2: So I don't know if I love January.
- 1:03Speaker 3: I think I've been trying to convince myself that I do,
- 1:05Speaker 3: and I think I don't like it.
- 1:06Speaker 1: But we can we can get into that next year.
- 1:08Speaker 3: It's crazy review next year and we can come back August.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, June and Angela are also not great. I
- 1:19Speaker 1: think April, September.
- 1:21Speaker 2: November, sexies, hot months.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Hot months.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Yeah, just just the word.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Have you seen that TikTok friend and people are like
- 1:29Speaker 3: ugly birthdays?
- 1:32Speaker 1: Oh no, it's hurtful. I think one's really pretty, so yeah, scovery,
- 1:36Speaker 1: but yeah, it's also biased. You think you're really pretty? Yeah?
- 1:42Speaker 3: Well, speaking of your birthday?
- 1:43Speaker 1: Was this month? What a fabulous month? And the poor
- 1:45Speaker 1: cheeks they're probably sorry sick, They're like, we know what mine?
- 1:50Speaker 1: This is our super Bowl? Okay it was alex Is thirtieth.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Yeah, but as usual, we're going to get into our
- 1:56Speaker 3: favorites from the month, our rex the things we've loved
- 1:58Speaker 3: and enjoyed and want to.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Share with you chickies.
- 2:00Speaker 1: So do you want to kick us off with your
- 2:02Speaker 1: first one? I would love her. So my first favorite
- 2:07Speaker 1: of the month is this brand that has been all
- 2:10Speaker 1: over my feed and it's called Enna Play. So we
- 2:15Speaker 1: were talking about this earlier this week in the office
- 2:18Speaker 1: and this brand has been around for like a little bit.
- 2:20Speaker 1: They're an Australian brand based in Melbourne and designed in Melbourne,
- 2:26Speaker 1: and they are just so cool. It's like this small
- 2:31Speaker 1: very unique, elevated basics that it's like definitely the type
- 2:37Speaker 1: of brand where when you wear something, someone will go,
- 2:40Speaker 1: where's your jacket from? Where's your top from. It's like
- 2:44Speaker 1: they've added in a sparkle of cool gst to the
- 2:49Speaker 1: pieces and the outfits that I'm like, I'm just obsessed,
- 2:53Speaker 1: think like really quirky like jackets, check print shirts, denim.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I just want everything. Like the silhouettes of this brand
- 3:03Speaker 1: are just really funky and you can shop them on
- 3:06Speaker 1: the Iconic or you can shop them like direct from
- 3:09Speaker 1: the brand, and I just love it. Have you seen them? Yeah?
- 3:12Speaker 3: I also really like the look of their like crew
- 3:15Speaker 3: necks and sweats and stuff.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Yes, they also have a bunch of like graphic teas
- 3:20Speaker 1: or graphic long sleeves that are just viby. Yeah, they're
- 3:25Speaker 1: just cool.
- 3:26Speaker 4: They're cool.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Yeah, Australia is really lucky.
- 3:29Speaker 3: I do see that a lot on TikTok as well,
- 3:31Speaker 3: like people saying that Australia has a lot of really
- 3:34Speaker 3: cool brands. And I do think we take it for
- 3:36Speaker 3: granted a little bit because we're just used to it.
- 3:38Speaker 1: But there are some incredible small businesses in stry I
- 3:41Speaker 1: put them in the same like breadth of like Naked Vice. Yeah,
- 3:46Speaker 1: and like maybe a bit more of an elevated, higher
- 3:49Speaker 1: quality like.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Bronze Snake Shop, like that kind of vibe.
- 3:53Speaker 1: They're definitely a little bit more towards like maybe a
- 3:56Speaker 1: mid tier range. Yeah, I wouldn't put it amongst the
- 3:59Speaker 1: price range of like glassons. I would put it more
- 4:01Speaker 1: towards like Naked Advice or like dish pricing. But yeah,
- 4:05Speaker 1: I just think they're so cool. And I was like
- 4:07Speaker 1: on their website and I was like, ah, yeah, it's
- 4:12Speaker 1: so cool. They had this shirt that's like gone viral
- 4:15Speaker 1: this week, which is like this, you know, I would
- 4:17Speaker 1: have seen it, and I was like, give me that.
- 4:19Speaker 1: It's so cool. And it's this like asymmetrical check print
- 4:25Speaker 1: shirt where it like kind of crosses over the chest and.
- 4:29Speaker 3: I just yeah, it's like an elevated flannel. Yes, so
- 4:33Speaker 3: so sweet, the flannel.
- 4:35Speaker 1: She's bad. She's back.
- 4:36Speaker 2: She don't have to bring her back back. She is
- 4:38Speaker 2: so bad with a vengeance.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I love it, so good back it.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Okay, my first one is a book.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Wreck and it's a Luca by Cassie Stroud.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Okay, tell me everything.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Yeah, so this is her debut novel. She's an Australian author,
- 4:55Speaker 3: and it was a case of I judged a book
- 4:59Speaker 3: by its cover. It has a beautiful cover that's like
- 5:03Speaker 3: I think it looks like an oil painting of like
- 5:06Speaker 3: a coastal scene. And I immediately saw it in the
- 5:09Speaker 3: bookshop and I was like, oh, that looks really good.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Flipped it around, read the blurb and I was like,
- 5:13Speaker 3: oh my god, I'm hooked. So it's set in like
- 5:16Speaker 3: a fictional coastal town in Australia.
- 5:19Speaker 2: But it is very clearly influenced by the South Coast.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Oh oh wow y yeah. So I looked it up.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I was like, where is imagine if you secretly wrote this,
- 5:30Speaker 1: oh no around like a pseudonym.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Yeah, So a Luca is actually a real town, like
- 5:34Speaker 3: in the Central Coast or something. But from the descriptions
- 5:37Speaker 3: and when they're talking about like surrounding towns and stuff,
- 5:39Speaker 3: I'm like, this is one thousand percent about Wollongong, or
- 5:42Speaker 3: at least really, I am like ninety nine percent sure.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 5:47Speaker 3: The way she's describing things, and that was one of
- 5:49Speaker 3: the reasons I love the book is she is very
- 5:51Speaker 3: vivid descriptions about the landscapes because I think so much
- 5:55Speaker 3: about the landscape and the weather and the ocean like
- 5:57Speaker 3: really informs, you know, it reflects like the characters moods
- 6:00Speaker 3: and things that are happening in the story, which I
- 6:02Speaker 3: always love in a book. But I was like, I
- 6:05Speaker 3: know this, like so a bias always loved that. But
- 6:09Speaker 3: when I did read the blurb on the back of
- 6:11Speaker 3: the book, I was like, this is juicy. It's about
- 6:13Speaker 3: three adult siblings who when they were growing up, they
- 6:17Speaker 3: live with their grandparents. They move away, and then both
- 6:20Speaker 3: of their grandparents pass away, so they come home to
- 6:22Speaker 3: pack up the house and as they're packing up, they
- 6:25Speaker 3: find letters written by their mom, who apparently passed away,
- 6:30Speaker 3: but they're dated after the date that she supposedly died.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Yeah, oh my god, I just got full body chills.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Yes, So when they were growing up, and I think
- 6:40Speaker 3: like maybe I think it would have been like the
- 6:42Speaker 3: eighties or something. Their mom had like substance abuse issues
- 6:47Speaker 3: and allegedly left them, And when I moved up to
- 6:49Speaker 3: the city, and then their grandmother told them that she died.
- 6:54Speaker 3: But then they're going through and reading all these letters
- 6:56Speaker 3: and they're like, wait, if she still brought you I wrote.
- 6:59Speaker 1: To you every day for a year.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Yeah, but then the last one is dated in like
- 7:03Speaker 3: twenty eleven or something, so they're like, is she alive?
- 7:06Speaker 1: Isn't she?
- 7:07Speaker 3: And so the book is written from multiple perspectives, including
- 7:11Speaker 3: the children, then it goes to the mum like in
- 7:15Speaker 3: the seventies, so when she was young, and then it
- 7:17Speaker 3: goes to the grandmother at the end.
- 7:20Speaker 2: It is so so good and.
- 7:22Speaker 3: It's I would say it's a slow build, as some
- 7:25Speaker 3: of those books can be, especially when they're jumping between perspectives,
- 7:29Speaker 3: but that like twist comes in very very early, and
- 7:32Speaker 3: it's also on the.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Back of the books. I'm not getting anything away, but
- 7:35Speaker 1: it's tell me really okay, if you don't want to
- 7:38Speaker 1: hear what happens, skip like the next sixty seconds.
- 7:40Speaker 3: I'll tell you after I tell you after coming out,
- 7:42Speaker 3: because actually I want you to read it. It's really
- 7:45Speaker 3: really good and it's it's sad, but it's also very
- 7:50Speaker 3: very moving. I was gripped, but it isn't like a
- 7:54Speaker 3: thriller that you're you know, it's not like super anxiety
- 7:56Speaker 3: and juicing or anything. And again, like I've been saying,
- 8:00Speaker 3: I've been trying to get around some more Australian authors
- 8:04Speaker 3: and musicians and stuff this year, so I definitely recommend.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Now, was it funny reading a book based on like
- 8:11Speaker 1: where you grew up? Yeah? I loved it.
- 8:13Speaker 2: It was so good.
- 8:14Speaker 1: And if I know that Chicken Chop I worked there.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Yeah, and even because they lived in like this old
- 8:20Speaker 3: firebro like beat shack, and even that.
- 8:23Speaker 2: I was just like, oh my god, just really really
- 8:26Speaker 2: took me back.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I loved it. Oh my god, how fine?
- 8:28Speaker 2: Yeah, really really good.
- 8:30Speaker 3: It's on Spotify as well, included in the premium or
- 8:32Speaker 3: audio ball so yeah, if you're not a big reader,
- 8:35Speaker 3: also give it a go there too. Yeah.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Do you know there was a new study that just
- 8:39Speaker 1: came out that it's not necessarily better to whether you
- 8:43Speaker 1: read a book or listen to it. Oh really, so
- 8:46Speaker 1: when you because there's always been this thing online that
- 8:49Speaker 1: you know, read like listening to an audiobook is like
- 8:52Speaker 1: cheating quote unquote, But there was a neuroscience study that
- 8:57Speaker 1: showed that whether you listen to a book or whether
- 9:01Speaker 1: you read a book, the way that it goes into
- 9:04Speaker 1: your brain is through different pathways, but where it settles
- 9:07Speaker 1: and finishes is actually in the same place. So it
- 9:10Speaker 1: doesn't actually make a difference whether or not you read
- 9:12Speaker 1: a book or listen to a book. I love that
- 9:14Speaker 1: because that is a.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Little bit of a stigma around listening to an audiobook
- 9:18Speaker 3: versus reading even a kindle or like a digital copy
- 9:22Speaker 3: versus a physical book. I feel like there is a stigma,
- 9:25Speaker 3: and obviously reading a physical book is like I'm better
- 9:27Speaker 3: than everybody else.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Kindle is just under that, and.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Then audiobook is like you may as well be watching TV,
- 9:33Speaker 3: lazy slob, but it's not true.
- 9:35Speaker 4: It's not true speaking your books.
- 9:56Speaker 1: One of my favorites for the month is also one
- 9:59Speaker 1: that I've read. Oh and I literally gobbled this up
- 10:04Speaker 1: in two seconds. It's so delicious. It's called Star Side
- 10:09Speaker 1: by Alex Astar. It came out in March, and it's
- 10:14Speaker 1: like a romancey enemies.
- 10:16Speaker 2: To lovers, and like I was biting through the book.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Basically halfway through it, I was like, this is so good.
- 10:23Speaker 1: It's set in like this obviously fantasy world that split
- 10:28Speaker 1: between like the gods and like an immortal world and
- 10:32Speaker 1: then like the mortal world, and basically every so often
- 10:36Speaker 1: every couple of years, they get to go and they
- 10:39Speaker 1: send fifty humans into the immortal world to go on
- 10:42Speaker 1: like a quest and they can steal or they get
- 10:45Speaker 1: given if they finish a cup of magic a goblet
- 10:48Speaker 1: of magic that they can bring back, and it basically
- 10:50Speaker 1: can make them rich or it can make them like
- 10:54Speaker 1: it makes them, you know, be able to harvest their lands,
- 10:57Speaker 1: and that they don't actually go through any of the
- 10:59Speaker 1: turmoil that's so many mortals do. And anyway, she ends
- 11:03Speaker 1: up having to make this like quest with like her
- 11:06Speaker 1: mortal enemy and then actually work together and sexy and
- 11:12Speaker 1: they hate each other and there's one line where he
- 11:16Speaker 1: literally she literally goes, I hate you and they're like
- 11:19Speaker 1: fighting and he goes, well, hate me harder, and then
- 11:21Speaker 1: they Anyway, we're gonna have.
- 11:24Speaker 2: To watch this wash this after this, but it's.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Just so good.
- 11:29Speaker 2: And then the other series that I read this month
- 11:31Speaker 2: was Off Campus.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Oh yeah, so this series is getting adapted into a
- 11:36Speaker 1: TV show on Prime and I think this is going
- 11:40Speaker 1: to be our knew the Summer I Turned Pretty. Thank God,
- 11:43Speaker 1: I'm not even kidding. It's basically like heated Rivalry meets
- 11:49Speaker 1: the Summer I Turn Pretty. And then maybe like a
- 11:51Speaker 1: little bit of Bridgitton in there, because it's based on hockey,
- 11:55Speaker 1: so that's why the heated rivalry comes in. And then
- 11:58Speaker 1: we've got the Summer I Turned Pretty, where it's romas.
- 12:02Speaker 1: It's romance where you're like, oh, I want it, it's
- 12:04Speaker 1: do it now, and they like don't want it, but
- 12:07Speaker 1: they do, but they don't want it, but they do.
- 12:09Speaker 1: And then every book is where the Bridgeton comes in,
- 12:13Speaker 1: is based on a different character. So there's like four
- 12:16Speaker 1: hockey players and every book is the different hockey players.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Yeah, and the hockey players the castings they've done well.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Thank you. I just want to say thank you because
- 12:28Speaker 1: I want it to be I want them to be
- 12:30Speaker 1: unreasonably hot. I want to be watching a TV show going,
- 12:35Speaker 1: how is that person even real? I don't want it
- 12:38Speaker 1: to be realistic whatsoever? I want hot people on my
- 12:41Speaker 1: screen and I want what's wrong with that?
- 12:45Speaker 2: That's not Yeah, it's not too much, believe.
- 12:47Speaker 1: I just want to watch hot people kiss. Okay, I
- 12:51Speaker 1: know there's other websites for that, but I don't like them.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Okay, you got to log in for them now, yeah, exactly,
- 12:56Speaker 3: they're not even legal.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Subscription. And my sexy Cooky player is so true. But
- 13:04Speaker 1: I read like four of these books in the sped
- 13:06Speaker 1: of a week that was so easy to read if
- 13:08Speaker 1: you need, Like I'd say, sometimes I go into smooth
- 13:12Speaker 1: brain reads, like I go in smooth Brain Error, where
- 13:14Speaker 1: I'm like, I can't go into a new world, I
- 13:17Speaker 1: can't meet new people.
- 13:18Speaker 2: I just need a book that.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I can smooth brain it and be like where this
- 13:23Speaker 1: is so fun. Page turner, page turner. I was reading
- 13:26Speaker 1: it on the plane and I was going down to
- 13:28Speaker 1: Melbourne and it was a scene and I swear I
- 13:31Speaker 1: was got the man next to me for life. You
- 13:34Speaker 1: probably learned I think two welcome sir. Also, don't look
- 13:39Speaker 1: I put the brightness down.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Yeah, need that for his own good and yours.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Seriously.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Okay, my next wreck or my next monthly favorite.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Is a beauty wreck and it's.
- 13:50Speaker 2: The Hourglass Vanish airbrush Concealer.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Yes, you have been talking about this a lot. God,
- 13:56Speaker 1: it's goorn.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Yeah it is sixty six dollars, Like I know, I know,
- 14:01Speaker 3: but it already has almost one thousand and five star
- 14:04Speaker 3: reviews on Sephora, and like they only just dropped into Sephora.
- 14:08Speaker 1: What was that last month?
- 14:09Speaker 2: Yeah, and it was also just on the sale exactly.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Yeah, so now that hourglass is stocked in Sephora.
- 14:15Speaker 3: We can finally shop it on sale when they do
- 14:17Speaker 3: their Beauty Pass sales, which is multiple times a year.
- 14:20Speaker 1: And I just.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Really like it because it is super pigmented, but.
- 14:24Speaker 3: It's very lightweight, which can be hard to get a
- 14:28Speaker 3: balance of those two qualities in a concealer, which I
- 14:32Speaker 3: definitely need. I have dark circles but also have fine lines,
- 14:36Speaker 3: so I don't want anything that's too thick that will
- 14:38Speaker 3: settle in. But it's really really beautiful. And because I
- 14:43Speaker 3: went to like the when they launched our glass in Australia,
- 14:46Speaker 3: I went to an event for it and they did
- 14:47Speaker 3: like a shade match for me, which was really really helpful.
- 14:51Speaker 1: But they also showed.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Me that when you pull the applicator out, it gives
- 14:55Speaker 3: you the perfect amount on the applicator to do a
- 14:58Speaker 3: little dot on the in side of your nose next
- 15:01Speaker 3: to your eye and then a little swipe underneath your
- 15:04Speaker 3: eye and that's all the concealer that you need, and
- 15:06Speaker 3: then you blend it out that way using like the
- 15:09Speaker 3: the little like blending brush as well.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Because he's putting too much cancala what makes you can
- 15:14Speaker 1: see it look like shit?
- 15:15Speaker 3: Yeah, it's what makes it really cakey, Whereas I'd been
- 15:18Speaker 3: being like, stripe, stripe, stripe, give it to me, yeah,
- 15:21Speaker 3: and he was like me, he was like, literally, and
- 15:22Speaker 3: you don't have to be like like, you know, pull
- 15:24Speaker 3: it in and out. He's like, literally, just pull it
- 15:26Speaker 3: out and then dab on the inside of your nose
- 15:29Speaker 3: and then one swipe under your eye and that's all
- 15:31Speaker 3: you need.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Anything else is too much.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:34Speaker 1: So I was like, well, that really shook.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Me to my core.
- 15:38Speaker 3: But I did also want to give like probably a
- 15:40Speaker 3: more budget friendly recommend beauty recommendation.
- 15:44Speaker 2: As like a you know, got to got to give
- 15:47Speaker 2: the broke chicks what they want as well.
- 15:49Speaker 1: And it's also from Sephora. And we were talking the
- 15:51Speaker 1: other day about how nobody.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Talks about the Sephora Collection products, and I was talking
- 15:56Speaker 3: about how I do really like their lip liners, but.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Also their eyeliner.
- 16:01Speaker 3: I've been using their cream eyeliner from the Sephora Collection
- 16:05Speaker 3: like every single day, probably I think for almost a
- 16:09Speaker 3: year and it still hasn't run out. It's really good,
- 16:12Speaker 3: and it's a really good brown eyeliner for like an
- 16:14Speaker 3: every day But if you aren't like really really good
- 16:18Speaker 3: at eyeliner, which I think a lot of people do
- 16:20Speaker 3: struggle with it.
- 16:21Speaker 2: I know I do because it is creamy.
- 16:24Speaker 3: I sort of just like apply it really messily and
- 16:26Speaker 3: then you can if you have long nails, you can
- 16:28Speaker 3: either use the tip of your nail to wing it out,
- 16:31Speaker 3: or you can use a little brush and a.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Cotton bud proper or a cotton bud.
- 16:36Speaker 2: And it's really really easy to move.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Some eyeliners when you put them on, like it won't shift,
- 16:41Speaker 3: whereas I find this one actually does move. That you
- 16:44Speaker 3: can like blend it out a lot easier than some others,
- 16:48Speaker 3: but it actually stays on.
- 16:50Speaker 2: How yeah, it's only twenty six dollars God wow.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Yeah. I also have a beauty wreck from this month
- 16:56Speaker 1: and it is body milk. So you've very likely seen
- 17:02Speaker 1: the road glazing milk, the bubble milk, the TBH skincare
- 17:09Speaker 1: milk that all goes on your face. But as we
- 17:12Speaker 1: always know, like skincare doesn't stop just at your face.
- 17:16Speaker 1: And as a dry skin girly, I've gotten so into
- 17:20Speaker 1: like the body milks and like milky body washes, and
- 17:23Speaker 1: if you have dry skin, especially going into winter, you
- 17:27Speaker 1: need to start using milky body wash. And milky like
- 17:31Speaker 1: body toners or even just milky body moisturizers because they
- 17:37Speaker 1: absorb into your skin so fast, they make your skin
- 17:40Speaker 1: feel so soft. They smell amazing, and they're just ten
- 17:45Speaker 1: out of ten. I was like using a body wash
- 17:49Speaker 1: that ID just like picked up from the shops and
- 17:53Speaker 1: it was like scented and more of like that gel
- 17:56Speaker 1: foamy type. Yeah, instant breakout like X everywhere, including my nipples,
- 18:02Speaker 1: and it's actually Helen here, it's hell. In here, it's hell.
- 18:08Speaker 1: And now I'm using vasaline for everything. You listen to
- 18:12Speaker 1: Tuesday's episode, that's another one. You can use it for
- 18:16Speaker 1: true another list And anyways, there are so many now
- 18:20Speaker 1: that are hitting the market, so Banging Body They've just
- 18:24Speaker 1: released one and it's like a toning body milk. It
- 18:27Speaker 1: smells incredible, but it's uncented. It's just like the natural
- 18:30Speaker 1: scent that comes from the ingredients, which I love. You
- 18:33Speaker 1: can also use it on your face, which is what
- 18:36Speaker 1: I like about it because it's like a double whammy.
- 18:38Speaker 1: I sit it next to my bed and before I
- 18:41Speaker 1: go to bed, I just whip it everywhere and then
- 18:43Speaker 1: I go slap on my face. That done, because I
- 18:48Speaker 1: can't stand spending too much time in the bathroom doing
- 18:51Speaker 1: a routine. Lazy Lazy Girl Beauty for the Wind and
- 18:56Speaker 1: also TBH skin have also just launched a body milk
- 19:00Speaker 1: and a body wash range and they are so in
- 19:03Speaker 1: mind for the sensitive skin girlies like pron Girlies, Active
- 19:08Speaker 1: pron Girlies and sensitive Skin Girlies. So those are two
- 19:11Speaker 1: that have just hit the market. Baging Body I believe
- 19:14Speaker 1: you can get from Sephora, and TBH Skincare you can
- 19:17Speaker 1: get from price Line, so both amazing. The Banging Body
- 19:21Speaker 1: is a little bit more expensive, I believe, but check
- 19:23Speaker 1: the unit price because so often we just look at
- 19:27Speaker 1: the price for like the overall product, but the unit
- 19:33Speaker 1: price is actually where you're going to be able to
- 19:34Speaker 1: know what you're getting for what you want. Yeah, so
- 19:37Speaker 1: I highly recommend that.
- 19:57Speaker 3: My final monthly favorite is the new Loving Tan ten
- 20:01Speaker 3: minute Express.
- 20:03Speaker 1: I know, I know, oh yeah, didn't you not like it?
- 20:07Speaker 2: I've come around.
- 20:10Speaker 1: That's rare for you, I know, to even go back
- 20:13Speaker 1: to even go back on your.
- 20:14Speaker 4: Word, I know.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:16Speaker 3: So when this first dropped, everyone was talking about it
- 20:21Speaker 3: and I was like, oh my god, I got to
- 20:22Speaker 3: get around this and I used it, and I was
- 20:25Speaker 3: like I feel like this didn't work properly or I
- 20:29Speaker 3: don't know what I was thinking it would do.
- 20:32Speaker 2: I also have never used a tan quite like this before.
- 20:36Speaker 3: Yeah, so it has a more like creamy, sticky texture
- 20:40Speaker 3: as opposed to like a moose or a tanning water.
- 20:43Speaker 3: So when you apply it, you really have to like
- 20:46Speaker 3: rub it in and work it in, otherwise it's going
- 20:48Speaker 3: to be really really patchy, which was the.
- 20:51Speaker 1: First mistake that I did.
- 20:53Speaker 3: So I was like looking and I was like they
- 20:55Speaker 3: were like literally like white patches all over me, and
- 20:58Speaker 3: I was like, what the fuck is going going on?
- 21:01Speaker 1: So my fault.
- 21:03Speaker 3: And then the other thing is that I think I
- 21:05Speaker 3: thought of it more as a like ten minute.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Express instant tan.
- 21:10Speaker 3: So I used it on like an afternoon, going out
- 21:15Speaker 3: that night, being like, oh great, it's like a ten
- 21:16Speaker 3: minute ten that I can pop on and tonight like
- 21:18Speaker 3: I'll be bronzed and glowing, and it's like, no, that's
- 21:22Speaker 3: not really how it works. It's a ten minute ten
- 21:24Speaker 3: that you wash off and then it develops after like
- 21:27Speaker 3: six to eight hours and continues developing the following twenty
- 21:30Speaker 3: four hours.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Whereas I was like.
- 21:34Speaker 4: Where's my tan?
- 21:35Speaker 2: I was thinking of it as an instant tan.
- 21:37Speaker 3: It is not that I feel like this product is
- 21:40Speaker 3: perfect for when you're doing that mind map of your
- 21:43Speaker 3: tan routine and you're like, okay, so I've got something
- 21:46Speaker 3: on Thursday, but then I also I'm going out on
- 21:48Speaker 3: Sunday afternoon for a birthday, and then.
- 21:50Speaker 2: I've got this when do I tan?
- 21:52Speaker 3: Yes, So I wouldn't necessarily use this product in my
- 21:55Speaker 3: weekly tan routine because it is fifty five dollars and
- 21:59Speaker 3: it's like a pretty small tube, and I do think
- 22:02Speaker 3: that you do have to use like quite a bit
- 22:04Speaker 3: of it to cover your whole body, and because you
- 22:07Speaker 3: do really have to work it in. This product is
- 22:09Speaker 3: more so for those times when you're like I don't
- 22:12Speaker 3: have time to do a full six hour sit in tan,
- 22:16Speaker 3: or I don't have time to or I don't want
- 22:18Speaker 3: to sleep in my tan, and you.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Kind of dirty grub like me. You just sleep in it, yeah.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Yeah, and you don't want to like sleep in.
- 22:24Speaker 1: It, or maybe you put your nice fresh sheets on
- 22:26Speaker 1: it and you're like I don't want to sleep in
- 22:27Speaker 1: my dad at all.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Exactly, yeah, or like I literally did it last night
- 22:31Speaker 3: because I was like, my hands are stark, my hands
- 22:33Speaker 3: and my neck was stark white, but the rest of
- 22:36Speaker 3: my body was okay, And I was like, I need
- 22:39Speaker 3: something to kind of like piece it together.
- 22:40Speaker 2: But I cannot be fucked doing a full tan tonight.
- 22:43Speaker 2: That's what this product is for.
- 22:46Speaker 3: It's for those nights when you can't be fuck doing
- 22:48Speaker 3: a tan. And I was like, Okay, I eat my words,
- 22:52Speaker 3: and I actually do like it.
- 22:55Speaker 1: I love that. I feel like you never walk back
- 22:58Speaker 1: on not liking a product as much. Yeah, Like if
- 23:01Speaker 1: you don't like something like NAP, yeah, but I'm happy
- 23:04Speaker 1: to concede that I was using you tried again, yeah,
- 23:08Speaker 1: because I was like, I'm seeing people saying that they
- 23:10Speaker 1: like it. I feel like that's such a good life
- 23:13Speaker 1: lesson though, because so often we try products and we
- 23:17Speaker 1: go NAP doesn't work for me, didn't like it. Maybe
- 23:22Speaker 1: you just weren't using it, brought That's been me. And
- 23:26Speaker 1: also like sometimes these things they're not instant results as well,
- 23:29Speaker 1: Like even when we try new skin care products, like
- 23:31Speaker 1: for most products, it takes up to twelve weeks to
- 23:33Speaker 1: know whether or not it's working. But we go out
- 23:36Speaker 1: and buy like seventeen products and then we're like, why
- 23:39Speaker 1: on I, why are I beautiful? Why don't I have
- 23:41Speaker 1: leglass skin? Yeah, where'd you go?
- 23:44Speaker 2: You said, legalless skin. I was like, yeah, he has
- 23:46Speaker 2: great skin.
- 23:47Speaker 1: You're so right, the Immortal Eleven Archer from Lord of
- 23:51Speaker 1: the Rings. Let's bring that back, new trending aesthetic Lego skin.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Love it? Yeah, totally, Okay. My final is actually a
- 24:01Speaker 1: podcast wreck. I know the call is coming from inside
- 24:05Speaker 1: the house that hit me. It's after Dark Myths, Misdeeds
- 24:10Speaker 1: and the Paranormal. No, it's so good. So I have
- 24:15Speaker 1: like I wanted, I wanted to listen to something that
- 24:18Speaker 1: wasn't as long as a book, because I was like,
- 24:20Speaker 1: I'm already reading something and I don't want to not
- 24:23Speaker 1: in the mood to chop and change between books at
- 24:25Speaker 1: the moment, because I was so engrossed in Star Side.
- 24:27Speaker 1: And then I was like, I don't really want to
- 24:29Speaker 1: listen to like a Girlipop podcast because I was like
- 24:32Speaker 1: I just wasn't in the mood for that either, And
- 24:35Speaker 1: I was like, I want something that like is a
- 24:38Speaker 1: fun and it's like a story, but it's not. It's
- 24:42Speaker 1: just one episode that's a story and I can just
- 24:44Speaker 1: chop and change into whatever topic I want. Basically, this
- 24:47Speaker 1: podcast is all about like myths and mythology and so
- 24:52Speaker 1: like think like mermaids, the history of mermaids, or like
- 24:56Speaker 1: the history of witches and like the Salem witch Trials,
- 24:59Speaker 1: or like like Jack the Ripper, like all of those
- 25:03Speaker 1: I swear topics that girls like, yes, yeah, like we
- 25:07Speaker 1: fucking love it.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Tell me about this eighteen hundred serial killer.
- 25:10Speaker 1: I'm like, I want to know more about it. Anyway,
- 25:13Speaker 1: So I listened to this episode. It was all about mermaids,
- 25:15Speaker 1: and it was so fun because not only was I
- 25:19Speaker 1: just like listening to a topic that I find so interesting,
- 25:22Speaker 1: but I'm learning, And like how fun is it to
- 25:25Speaker 1: like exercise your free will and realize that you can
- 25:28Speaker 1: actually continue learning even though you're an adult. Totally, I
- 25:31Speaker 1: felt like I was in a history lesson that I
- 25:34Speaker 1: actually enjoyed love that, and it was so cool. It
- 25:37Speaker 1: was they were talking about the different iterations of how
- 25:40Speaker 1: like mermaids have shown up throughout history, so like how
- 25:44Speaker 1: they originated with like Benjamin Franklin, and how that time
- 25:49Speaker 1: there was like this thing called like the Great Enlightenment,
- 25:52Speaker 1: and it was basically how during that time everyone wanted
- 25:54Speaker 1: to be someone to teach someone something and essentially they're
- 25:58Speaker 1: like ruling, was that Benja when Franklin was thirty three
- 26:02Speaker 1: and wanted to kind of grasp people's attention, and that
- 26:06Speaker 1: it really became this thing. But they go into how
- 26:08Speaker 1: it's very interesting that the mythology of like Mermaids was
- 26:12Speaker 1: that it was based on like a goddess who decided
- 26:15Speaker 1: she wanted to live in the ocean, but the gods
- 26:17Speaker 1: decided she was too beautiful to live in the ocean,
- 26:19Speaker 1: so they made her half fish. But then they also
- 26:22Speaker 1: go in how it also has existed in multiple culture,
- 26:26Speaker 1: cultures and countries, and how there was actually the story
- 26:29Speaker 1: of a Nigerian mermaid, and then there was another one
- 26:32Speaker 1: of a woman who like her arms were serpents, and
- 26:36Speaker 1: that throughout all of mythology, the one thing that stays
- 26:39Speaker 1: the same is that mermaids are like shape shifters. And
- 26:42Speaker 1: I was like, tell me more. I was so engrossed
- 26:46Speaker 1: in it. It was such a good podcast, and I
- 26:50Speaker 1: was like, this is on the rotation. Do you know
- 26:53Speaker 1: who would love that?
- 26:54Speaker 3: Any girl who growing up loved those like Egyptology books, Yes,
- 26:59Speaker 3: that's who that podcast.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Guilty found one of those in a.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Shot the other day.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Fuck, it's so good that you open up their little
- 27:07Speaker 3: like the sensory thing.
- 27:09Speaker 1: The dragonology one. If anyone has that, can I please
- 27:13Speaker 1: have it? God?
- 27:14Speaker 2: They were good, good for it, the little scrolls in me.
- 27:18Speaker 1: That's what we need is a coffee table book. Yeah.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Imagine going to someone's house and on the coffee table
- 27:23Speaker 1: they had Egyptology, Dragonology and Wizardology. Please, what's it? The
- 27:28Speaker 1: Holy Trinity?
- 27:29Speaker 2: The serious sacred texts? Right there was like the Deep
- 27:34Speaker 2: which I was there when it was written.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Imagine like some twelve year old being like, do you
- 27:38Speaker 1: want to see my book? And they pulled out Egyptology.
- 27:41Speaker 2: I will wacking with it. No, I wouldn't because that
- 27:42Speaker 2: would be abuse.
- 27:43Speaker 1: I would down kid, that's mine. Would I steal candy
- 27:49Speaker 1: from a baby? No? Would I steal Egyptology, Dragonology and
- 27:53Speaker 1: Wizardology from a child?
- 27:54Speaker 3: Yes?
- 27:56Speaker 1: Well on that note, Chicks, that is a wrap for
- 27:59Speaker 1: today's episode of Two Rash Eggs. Thank you so much
- 28:01Speaker 1: for having us in your ear Hols, and don't forget
- 28:03Speaker 1: to comment your monthly favorites for us below. Bye love
- 28:08Speaker 1: your love you by Chicks
