- 0:00Culture wants weak men, but God calls you to be strong.
- 0:07God created you with the noble and intentional purpose, a
- 0:11purpose rooted not in confusion, not in cultural trends, and not
- 0:17in the shallow promises of modern ideology, but in His
- 0:21design from the very beginning. So from Genesis onward,
- 0:26Scripture makes it clear you were created in the image of
- 0:31God, says that in Genesis 127. That means that your identity is
- 0:37not random, it's not accidental and not disposable.
- 0:44It is sacred. But our culture has been lying
- 0:48to us from all directions. We've got the lie of modern
- 0:53feminism. Modern feminism has tried to
- 0:56convince men that masculinity is toxic, dangerous, or
- 1:01unnecessary. It has told us that strength is
- 1:06oppression, leadership is domination, and fatherhood is
- 1:10optional. It has tried to strip men of the
- 1:14very qualities God designed them to embody.
- 1:19Yet Scripture says the opposite. In First Corinthians 1613.
- 1:25It says be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men and
- 1:30be strong. God calls men to strength, not
- 1:35to suppress it, not to apologise for it, but to channel it
- 1:40towards righteousness, protection and sacrificial love.
- 1:46But then you also have the lie of the menosphere.
- 1:49You know, on the other side, the menosphere has fed this
- 1:53different type of lie, one that looks like strength but is
- 1:57actually weakness dressed up as bravado.
- 2:00It tells us that masculinity means becoming a barbarian.
- 2:06Sleep around, dominate, chase pleasure, chase status, chase
- 2:12women, chase wealth. It it tells us that our worth is
- 2:18measured by conquest. But Scripture warns us plainly
- 2:23in first John 216. It says for everything in the
- 2:27world, everything in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust
- 2:31of the eyes, and the pride of life comes not from the Father,
- 2:36but from the world. Hedonism is not strength,
- 2:41domination is not leadership, and pleasure is not purpose.
- 2:49For every man who chases these things eventually discovers the
- 2:55same truth, the actual truth, and that is that these things
- 2:59leave us, leave you empty. We have God's design for men.
- 3:07We weren't created for hedonism. You weren't created to be a
- 3:12brute. We we weren't created to measure
- 3:16our worth by conquest or money or ego.
- 3:21God designed us for something far greater.
- 3:25In Ephesians 210 it says For we are his workmanship, created in
- 3:30Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand.
- 3:35That's because you were created for a noble purpose, a purpose
- 3:40that reflects God's character, not the world's confusion.
- 3:46So yes, be strong, yes, be capable, and yeah, cultivate
- 3:52discipline, courage and resilience.
- 3:56But understand this, your deepest joy and truest identity
- 4:02will never come from power, pleasure or performance.
- 4:06It comes from knowing Him, the One who created you, and living
- 4:13out the purpose that He gave you.
- 4:16For many men, that calling will be lived out most fully as a
- 4:21husband and a father, roles that demand strength, sacrifice, and
- 4:26devotion. Scripture honours these roles.
- 4:29In Ephesians 525 it says, Husbands, love your wives, just
- 4:35as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.
- 4:40That is not domination, That is not barbarism.
- 4:44That is sacrificial leadership and fatherhood.
- 4:49Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring
- 4:54them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
- 4:58That's in Ephesians 64. Fatherhood is not weakness.
- 5:03It is one of the highest, if not the highest, calling a man can
- 5:08walk in. Your identity isn't found in the
- 5:12lies of culture, it isn't found in feminism's distortion of
- 5:18masculinity, and it is not found in the manosphere's counterfeit
- 5:24version of strength. Your identity, our identity is
- 5:30found in Christ. 2nd Corinthians 517 says if anyone is in Christ,
- 5:38He is a new creation. He defines you, He'd shapes you,
- 5:44He calls you, He empowers you, and He created you for a noble
- 5:50purpose, not a hedonistic one.
