- 0:00Speaker 1: I always talk about relationships and actually everything. It's the
- 0:03Speaker 1: little things that matter to me, right? I think the
- 0:05Speaker 1: little things are important.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:07Speaker 3: And they actually just came out with a list of
- 0:09Speaker 3: the little things that can signal that you're in a
- 0:12Speaker 3: strong relationship.
- 0:13Speaker 4: Sure, you can show.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Off the big things to people, but there are actually
- 0:17Speaker 3: little things that show everyone else that you are in.
- 0:20Speaker 4: A strong relationship.
- 0:20Speaker 3: So I'm going to tell you guys these and I
- 0:21Speaker 3: want to know if you think, yeah, you agree or
- 0:24Speaker 3: I think that's kind of overrated.
- 0:25Speaker 5: You know what? Jen is calling right now. Should we
- 0:27Speaker 5: start off with Jen?
- 0:28Speaker 6: Yeah, Jen.
- 0:29Speaker 5: Jen, the little things in a relationship that prove that
- 0:31Speaker 5: it's stronger.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Morning.
- 0:33Speaker 2: So I guess being able to just sit and hang
- 0:38Speaker 2: out and just do your own thing together in the
- 0:41Speaker 2: same area and comfortable silences, like without having to entertain
- 0:45Speaker 2: each other and just compromises on.
- 0:50Speaker 7: Anything, whether it be food or events or whatever. whatever,
- 0:54Speaker 7: just compromising and then comfortable, comfortable, like hang out, I guess.
- 1:00Speaker 4: I think you just.
- 1:01Speaker 6: Nailed it, Jen.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Cause like the number two on the list is that
- 1:04Speaker 3: you can sit in silence without feeling awkward.
- 1:07Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:07Speaker 4: And that, that right there, it shows comfort and security.
- 1:10Speaker 5: Thank you, Jen.
- 1:11Speaker 7: Everyone likes to talk all the time and, and you know,
- 1:14Speaker 7: like that's just some people that that's how they are.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Some people are quiet. Some people are, you know, and
- 1:20Speaker 2: the worst is what's wrong.
- 1:21Speaker 5: What's wrong. Why are you quiet?
- 1:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:23Speaker 7: I just want.
- 1:24Speaker 4: To chill for a minute.
- 1:26Speaker 8: A little bit of confidence in your quiet relationship is
- 1:28Speaker 8: a good thing. That's good. I like that.
- 1:31Speaker 5: Thanks. Thanks, Jen.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Okay, so these are little things in your relationship that
- 1:36Speaker 1: can prove that it's strong?
- 1:37Speaker 4: Yes, that signal you have a strong relationship. You have
- 1:41Speaker 4: inside jokes.
- 1:43Speaker 3: They say inside jokes show that you kind of built
- 1:45Speaker 3: your own little shared world. You can laugh with each
- 1:47Speaker 3: other and nobody else has to know what you're laughing at.
- 1:50Speaker 4: That's perfectly fine. That can show that you actually have
- 1:53Speaker 4: a strong relationship.
- 1:54Speaker 5: Well, that's good.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Inside jokes are the best.
- 1:56Speaker 6: I was going to say, I feel like that's you
- 1:58Speaker 6: and your husband to the T. You guys always have
- 2:01Speaker 6: the fun little insiders.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Yeah, and then you look at each other and you're like, yes, apple.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Everyone's like, who cares about an apple?
- 2:08Speaker 5: I like the inside jokes we have on the show. LOL, Barra.
- 2:12Speaker 5: That's my newest one.
- 2:13Speaker 8: Hey, did I tell you that somebody at the pharmacy
- 2:15Speaker 8: told me that just the other day? I went to
- 2:17Speaker 8: go pick up a thing for Stacey and he's like, LOL, Tara.
- 2:20Speaker 8: That's amazing.
- 2:22Speaker 4: I also love when inside jokes can become everybody's jokes too.
- 2:24Speaker 8: Yeah, they have been now.
- 2:25Speaker 3: So one little thing that can signal that you have
- 2:28Speaker 3: a strong relationship is that you can complain about each
- 2:31Speaker 3: other without being cruel. You can have frustration without contempt.
- 2:35Speaker 3: And that actually means that you have a strong relationship
- 2:38Speaker 3: because you're comfortable enough with each other to be honest
- 2:41Speaker 3: and truthful.
- 2:41Speaker 5: That's good.
- 2:42Speaker 6: Like sometimes I need you to shut up and leave
- 2:44Speaker 6: me alone. Okay. And he's okay with that. And I'm
- 2:46Speaker 6: going to tell you that. And you are going to
- 2:48Speaker 6: be fine with it.
- 2:48Speaker 5: So I'm on the couch.
- 2:49Speaker 8: Don't make me cry.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I'm on the couch yesterday watching the newest episode of Mobland.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I don't know if you guys watch Mobland. It's freaking fantastic.
- 2:55Speaker 1: It's on Paramount Plus. I'm watching Mobland. There's 10 minutes
- 2:58Speaker 1: left of Mobland. My wife comes down and sits down
- 3:00Speaker 1: in the chair next to me. And starts talking to
- 3:03Speaker 1: me about some health issue that she had because she
- 3:05Speaker 1: just came back from the doctor. And I pause it.
- 3:07Speaker 1: And I let her talk.
- 3:08Speaker 5: She talks.
- 3:09Speaker 1: And I'm thinking, okay, she's done. And I look and
- 3:12Speaker 1: I go, may I? And I press play on the remote.
- 3:16Speaker 5: And she goes. Okay. I'm like, I pause, I go,
- 3:19Speaker 5: are you not done? Are you, are you done? Cause
- 3:21Speaker 5: she's like, yeah, I'm done. I'm like, okay. And I went, bing,
- 3:23Speaker 5: and I hit play and I watched the rest of it.
- 3:24Speaker 5: Highly recommend. But I think that's what I think you're,
- 3:27Speaker 5: what'd you say was like complaining, but not.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Being, but not being cruel.
- 3:31Speaker 5: I wasn't cruel. I just said, may I?
- 3:33Speaker 3: You were also doing something else without even realizing it
- 3:36Speaker 3: that does signal you have a strong relationship. And what
- 3:39Speaker 3: that is having separate hobbies. And friends, they say independence
- 3:43Speaker 3: without feeling threatened. Like, yes, you can go watch your shows.
- 3:46Speaker 3: She doesn't have to be sitting next to you every
- 3:47Speaker 3: second of the day. And she can go do yoga
- 3:49Speaker 3: with her girlfriends and play Mahjong.
- 3:51Speaker 5: She's playing Mahjong right now, I think.
- 3:53Speaker 6: Really?
- 3:53Speaker 8: That's so early.
- 3:54Speaker 5: She's got a Mahjong thing now and then she's got
- 3:55Speaker 5: a Mahjong thing tonight. Isn't that sad? My hobby is
- 3:58Speaker 5: watching TV.
- 4:00Speaker 8: But you're so good at watching TV. that is your,
- 4:02Speaker 8: what are your best skills is watching a TV show.
- 4:04Speaker 6: That is so important though. You do have to kind
- 4:07Speaker 6: of have your own life and your own thing. And
- 4:08Speaker 6: then when you're able to come together and do it together,
- 4:10Speaker 6: it makes that time just that much sweeter.
- 4:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree. Um, I like this one, but it's
- 4:15Speaker 4: also like, it's, it's tough. So you can say, I
- 4:20Speaker 4: need a minute during an argument.
- 4:21Speaker 3: They say this shows emotional regulation and I don't know
- 4:25Speaker 3: how I feel Because I'm really like.
- 4:27Speaker 4: If we are starting this, we are finishing it. So
- 4:29Speaker 4: that's hard for me to do.
- 4:30Speaker 3: But it's also like, yes, if your partner says, hold
- 4:33Speaker 3: on a minute, like I'm going to say something I'm
- 4:35Speaker 3: going to regret and it's going to hurt.
- 4:37Speaker 4: And I don't want to do that. You have to
- 4:39Speaker 4: be able to say that. So that can show that
- 4:41Speaker 4: you have a strong relationship.
- 4:42Speaker 8: The I need a minute thing is good. My aunt Dot,
- 4:45Speaker 8: who was married for 75 years, they never fought. But
- 4:48Speaker 8: she said that she would say, I'm going to need
- 4:51Speaker 8: a minute. I'm going to go pray. And hopefully when
- 4:53Speaker 8: I come back from the prayer, you will do the
- 4:54Speaker 8: right thing. Oh, my gosh.
- 4:56Speaker 6: Dang.
- 4:57Speaker 8: That is challenge. That is checkmate right there. I'm going
- 5:00Speaker 8: to go pray for you.
- 5:01Speaker 6: And when I come back, I hope you buy it together.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Yes.
- 5:04Speaker 3: I don't necessarily know if, like, projecting guilt on your
- 5:07Speaker 3: partner is going to help.
- 5:08Speaker 8: But, I mean, if you're Uncle Joe, you're like, okay,
- 5:11Speaker 8: I guess I'm going to do the right thing. It's
- 5:13Speaker 8: a good one.
- 5:13Speaker 5: It's pretty good.
- 5:14Speaker 8: I mean, for sure.
- 5:15Speaker 3: I also say if you ask your partner's opinion, even
- 5:19Speaker 3: when you already know what you want, that can be
- 5:22Speaker 3: a little thing that signals you have a strong relationship
- 5:24Speaker 3: because you are valuing their perspective. I wonder if this
- 5:27Speaker 3: one's overrated because if you already know what you want
- 5:30Speaker 3: and then you ask them their opinion, but what you
- 5:33Speaker 3: wanted wasn't their opinion, it can almost backfire on you
- 5:36Speaker 3: a little bit because you're not choosing what their advice was.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Sure.
- 5:39Speaker 6: Right. I feel like that one would definitely be an
- 5:41Speaker 6: issue in my relationship.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:43Speaker 6: Because I feel like Kadeem, my husband, he disagrees with everything.
- 5:47Speaker 8: He has a different take on everything.
- 5:50Speaker 6: And it just doesn't make me happy. I'm like, what
- 5:51Speaker 6: do you mean? Anyway, but I think that that could
- 5:54Speaker 6: be tricky for sure. But it makes sense that you
- 5:57Speaker 6: value your partner's opinion.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Yeah, because I'm sure you'd be like, why wouldn't you
- 6:01Speaker 3: ask me about that?
- 6:02Speaker 4: I'm an expert in that field. You know what I mean?
- 6:04Speaker 4: I would have advice for you in that situation. You
- 6:07Speaker 4: want your perspective to be valued.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I got all excited when my son asked me
- 6:11Speaker 1: for advice yesterday. I thought it was so great.
- 6:13Speaker 5: That's the best.
- 6:13Speaker 6: I mean, you are his dad.
- 6:15Speaker 5: Yeah, I know.
- 6:16Speaker 6: So that makes sense.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I know, but you don't want to, everything you learn
- 6:19Speaker 1: about being a parent is, you know, when you're like,
- 6:21Speaker 1: when Kyle and your kids get in the car and
- 6:23Speaker 1: you ask them how their day is and they go, fine,
- 6:24Speaker 1: what they say is don't ask them about their day.
- 6:27Speaker 1: And eventually they're going to start telling you about their day.
- 6:29Speaker 1: So when my son comes home from work or from
- 6:31Speaker 1: school and I'm like, how was your day?
- 6:33Speaker 5: Whatever.
- 6:34Speaker 1: But I didn't say anything. And then he's in there
- 6:36Speaker 1: making dinner and he goes, dad, can I ask you
- 6:38Speaker 1: some advice? And I was like, this worked i'm like
- 6:42Speaker 1: yeah of course you can totally and i was like
- 6:46Speaker 1: yeah grill the steak that wasn't the advice that was
- 6:50Speaker 1: by the way we need call 104 right now for
- 6:52Speaker 1: free disney tickets 877-937-1047 and there's.
- 6:55Speaker 3: One more uh little thing that can signal you have
- 6:58Speaker 3: a strong relationship i'm sure there's more of course if
- 7:00Speaker 3: you have one you can call us and let us
- 7:01Speaker 3: know but um You know what stresses them out before
- 7:05Speaker 3: they even say it. Experts say that this is emotional attunement.
- 7:09Speaker 3: You know your partner well enough to know that if
- 7:13Speaker 3: you're going to say X, Y, Z, they're going to
- 7:15Speaker 3: fly off the handle and then maybe you choose not to.
- 7:18Speaker 3: So knowing what stresses them out without them having to
- 7:21Speaker 3: say it signals.
- 7:23Speaker 4: You actually have a strong relationship.
- 7:24Speaker 6: That's good.
- 7:25Speaker 8: Those are all good.
- 7:26Speaker 4: I think so.
- 7:26Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 7:27Speaker 4: Except for the one.
- 7:28Speaker 6: Except for those one or two that we didn't agree with. Yeah.
- 7:33Speaker 3: I mean, I think it's, it's fun to see like
- 7:35Speaker 3: people in their relationships and how they deal with stress
- 7:37Speaker 3: and arguments and stuff.
- 7:38Speaker 4: Cause I do think that is a big deal.
- 7:41Speaker 5: Okay. So where are we looking for color 104? What
- 7:44Speaker 5: do we got?
- 7:45Speaker 6: You're calling 26.
- 7:46Speaker 5: Ooh, 26. Good.
- 7:48Speaker 1: After we get our winner or maybe I could do
- 7:50Speaker 1: it now. I saw this is really crazy. I think
- 7:54Speaker 1: the headline is, Places in the United States.
- 7:57Speaker 5: You should avoid if the world goes haywire.
- 8:02Speaker 8: Ooh.
- 8:03Speaker 5: Avoid.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Okay.
- 8:04Speaker 6: So that we should not be evacuating.
- 8:06Speaker 4: I would think it would be like all of the
- 8:07Speaker 4: major cities.
- 8:08Speaker 5: Like L.A.
- 8:08Speaker 8: Because those would be the targets.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I think you'll be surprised at some of the answers,
- 8:12Speaker 1: I think, and the reasons why, which.
- 8:14Speaker 5: So.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Here's a cheerful little topic for you today. A writer
- 8:20Speaker 1: on Substack listed five places in the United States you
- 8:23Speaker 1: want to avoid if society's critical systems start breaking down.
- 8:27Speaker 5: Okay. So what does that mean?
- 8:28Speaker 8: Internet goes down, you know, that kind of stuff.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:32Speaker 5: Okay.
- 8:33Speaker 1: So number one, the Northeast, because it depends heavily on
- 8:37Speaker 1: complex infrastructure and supply chain. So the dense population can
- 8:41Speaker 1: cause big problems.
- 8:42Speaker 4: So like New York-ish area?
- 8:44Speaker 5: Yeah, that's right.
- 8:44Speaker 6: Okay.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Number two is California. You want to stay away from
- 8:48Speaker 1: California because of wildfires, earthquakes, and water shortages.
- 8:51Speaker 5: Okay?
- 8:52Speaker 2: Okay.
- 8:52Speaker 5: Number four is Florida.
- 8:55Speaker 1: It could be in trouble due to hurricanes, sea level rise,
- 8:57Speaker 1: saltwater intrusion, and limited evacuation routes.
- 9:00Speaker 8: So far, Arizona's good.
- 9:03Speaker 1: The industrial Midwest, it could be a problem due to
- 9:07Speaker 1: its aging infrastructure and harsh winter weather. Okay, so the
- 9:11Speaker 1: world goes to hell. Where do you avoid?
- 9:14Speaker 8: Like electricity's out, internet's down, all that stuff.
- 9:16Speaker 5: Okay, now listen to this. This is the last one
- 9:18Speaker 5: on the list. The Southwest Desert, specifically Phoenix. Come on.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Yeah, because the air conditioning, if you have no air.
- 9:25Speaker 1: It'll cause problems due to extreme heat and the dependence
- 9:28Speaker 1: on imported water.
- 9:30Speaker 6: What? I never heard of that.
- 9:31Speaker 5: What do you mean imported water?
- 9:32Speaker 8: What are you talking about?
- 9:33Speaker 4: The Colorado River?
- 9:34Speaker 1: I don't understand.
- 9:35Speaker 5: Does it run right through here?
- 9:37Speaker 8: Yeah, we got water problems.
- 9:38Speaker 4: We don't have the Colorado River.
- 9:39Speaker 5: Yeah, in Yuma.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Where?
- 9:41Speaker 2: Right there.
- 9:41Speaker 5: You go through Yuma.
- 9:43Speaker 8: Colorado River, right there.
- 9:45Speaker 5: I cross it all the time.
- 9:46Speaker 8: Yeah. Yeah, but, you know, we still got water problems.
- 9:51Speaker 8: When everything's fine, we got water issues. Like, even as
- 9:53Speaker 8: of yesterday.
- 9:54Speaker 5: I would think that, what happened yesterday? Like, political stuff.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Oh.
- 9:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:59Speaker 2: I know.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Well, news to me. I was like, if all hell
- 10:02Speaker 1: breaks loose, this is the place to be.
- 10:03Speaker 8: That's what I was thinking.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Where does it say where to go?
- 10:07Speaker 5: No, there's probably a hundred articles.
- 10:09Speaker 8: I feel like if all hell breaks loose, it's going
- 10:11Speaker 8: to be like in November and it's lovely here in November.
- 10:13Speaker 5: So you're fine. Don't worry about it.
- 10:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I guess it would depend. It depends on the
- 10:17Speaker 4: time of year where all hell breaks loose.
- 10:19Speaker 8: You don't need to AC in November. Leave your windows open.
- 10:21Speaker 8: You're fine.
- 10:23Speaker 5: So what number are we at? Looking for caller 104.
- 10:24Speaker 5: Where are we, Dylan?
- 10:28Speaker 6: You're caller 99.
- 10:29Speaker 8: Oh, good.
- 10:30Speaker 6: You're caller 100. You're caller 101.
- 10:33Speaker 7: You're caller 102.
- 10:35Speaker 6: You're caller 103. All right, caller 104 is on line 25.
- 10:39Speaker 7: Okay.
- 10:39Speaker 8: I want to remind you.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Something very cool is the John Jane Rich YouTube channel.
- 10:50Speaker 1: So go to YouTube, search John Jane Rich, follow our channel.
- 10:52Speaker 1: We got lots of stuff.
- 10:54Speaker 5: Oh, hey, Dylan, you're on the air.
- 10:56Speaker 1: I got to hear you.
- 10:57Speaker 5: Okay. So the John Jane Rich YouTube channel, you can
- 11:01Speaker 5: get everything. You can see everything. You can see us live.
- 11:03Speaker 1: You can see all kinds of like you see second
- 11:04Speaker 1: date update while it happened yesterday. Also, if you go
- 11:08Speaker 1: to our Instagram and you type in the word date,
- 11:11Speaker 1: we will send yesterday's second date update directly.
- 11:13Speaker 5: To your phone. All right, so we're looking for caller
- 11:15Speaker 5: 104 right now. Hello, good morning. Who's this?
- 11:22Speaker 2: Liana.
- 11:23Speaker 5: What? I'm sorry, what's your name?
- 11:25Speaker 2: Liana.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Liana, you're caller 104.
- 11:28Speaker 2: You're lying.
- 11:29Speaker 5: No, you are caller 104, Liana.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Oh, my God. I've been trying for so long.
- 11:36Speaker 5: Where are you? What part of town?
- 11:39Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 11:44Speaker 2: I'm in Tucson.
- 11:46Speaker 5: All right.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Okay, so Leanna, you've already made step one, which is
- 11:51Speaker 1: to be the right caller. Yes.
- 11:55Speaker 5: Now you've got to give us three of the magic words.
- 11:58Speaker 5: Give us one.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Workshop.
- 12:01Speaker 5: Okay, give us another one.
- 12:05Speaker 7: Food.
- 12:06Speaker 5: I'm sorry?
- 12:07Speaker 6: Food.
- 12:09Speaker 5: Spell that.
- 12:11Speaker 6: Okay, okay, hold on, hold on.
- 12:12Speaker 5: Let's do celebration.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Yes.
- 12:17Speaker 2: And pole.
- 12:19Speaker 5: Yes.
- 12:19Speaker 6: Yes, you got it.
- 12:20Speaker 2: You scared us.
- 12:21Speaker 5: You got it.
- 12:23Speaker 8: Food.
- 12:23Speaker 5: Rihanna, you got it. You're going to Disneyland. Yes.
- 12:27Speaker 2: My daughter is wanting to go for her birthday.
- 12:32Speaker 8: You sound like you're totally out of breath. Are you okay?
- 12:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I woke up. I took my medicine. I woke up,
- 12:39Speaker 2: and I started calling.
- 12:40Speaker 6: Oh, good.
- 12:42Speaker 5: Very good.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Okay, well, you hold on the line because you just
- 12:44Speaker 1: won four two-day, one park-per-day passes, and you qualify for
- 12:47Speaker 1: the grand prize, which is three-day, one park-per-day passes and
- 12:51Speaker 1: a hotel at the Disneyland Resort, Leanna.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Congratulations. And we do it again tomorrow. And all day today,
- 13:04Speaker 1: you listen. Collect the magic words. Collect the magic words,
- 13:09Speaker 1: and you win. Kyle, what was that video I saw
- 13:13Speaker 1: your husband when you were on his shoulders and climbing
- 13:14Speaker 1: all over his kitchen?
- 13:16Speaker 5: I was like... That's so funny.
- 13:19Speaker 6: It wasn't really.
- 13:19Speaker 4: There's not a huge story to it. It was my
- 13:21Speaker 4: daughter's 12th birthday yesterday. I watched it twice, by the way.
- 13:23Speaker 5: I watched it twice.
- 13:24Speaker 3: And she had balloons, and she let the balloons go.
- 13:27Speaker 3: And so they were all the way up on the ceiling.
- 13:32Speaker 3: And so to reach them, I stood on my husband's shoulders,
- 13:36Speaker 3: which is.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Terrifying, by the way.
- 13:38Speaker 3: I'm not really sure how, like, the flying will end
- 13:41Speaker 3: us do it. It was very scary, but we got
- 13:44Speaker 3: the balloons.
- 13:45Speaker 4: It was a success.
- 13:48Speaker 6: Yeah, I didn't.
- 13:49Speaker 4: I was like, I'm about to break my legs right
- 13:50Speaker 4: now if I fall.
- 13:52Speaker 6: I literally saw it. I was like, so no such
- 13:54Speaker 6: thing as a ladder in their house.
- 13:57Speaker 4: I don't have a ladder.
- 13:58Speaker 6: You literally just climbed him like a tree.
- 14:02Speaker 1: There's a couple of trending TikToks where co-workers do something
- 14:06Speaker 1: like that. And I can't remember what. There's like three
- 14:08Speaker 1: or four different ways. Have you seen them? Like you
- 14:11Speaker 1: put your feet on the shoulder and you lean on
- 14:13Speaker 1: a wall. And it's like these really cool things that
- 14:16Speaker 1: co-workers are doing with whatever that's called.
- 14:19Speaker 4: I've seen the one where.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Um, like one coworker stands up and the other one
- 14:24Speaker 3: kind of does like this weird backbend thing and they
- 14:26Speaker 3: put them on like a backpack.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Yeah, that's one of them I saw. That's one of
- 14:30Speaker 1: them I saw. There's like a whole bunch of weird
- 14:31Speaker 1: ones like that. I thought, wow, that's so.
- 14:34Speaker 5: Flexible. Your husband's got to be.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Because the thing about you being on your husband's shoulders is, A,
- 14:41Speaker 1: he's strong enough to do it, but you've got to
- 14:42Speaker 1: be able to balance, right?
- 14:43Speaker 4: No, that's the part. I wasn't worried about him dropping me.
- 14:47Speaker 4: I was worried about.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Me going, falling down.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Rich, I've had it written down here to get to
- 14:53Speaker 1: talk to you about this. You said there's a word
- 14:55Speaker 1: that's pissing you off now or a phrase that's pissing
- 14:57Speaker 1: you off.
- 14:58Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 14:58Speaker 5: Because we talked about it before. Last time it was.
- 15:01Speaker 8: Both things can be true.
- 15:02Speaker 5: Both things can be true at the same time. Well,
- 15:04Speaker 5: both things can be true. Yes.
- 15:06Speaker 8: And now I feel like I especially see it on
- 15:09Speaker 8: the secret lives of Mormon wives where it's like they
- 15:13Speaker 8: say your truth or my truth. Like, well, you know
- 15:16Speaker 8: what my truth is, is that I wasn't cheating. What
- 15:19Speaker 8: do you mean your truth? There is no your truth.
- 15:21Speaker 8: It's just the truth. Your truth is probably a lie.
- 15:27Speaker 8: that's pissing me off.
- 15:28Speaker 5: Is my truth. That's my, my point of view.
- 15:31Speaker 8: Your point of view.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Sure.
- 15:32Speaker 8: But it's not your truth. The truth is the truth.
- 15:34Speaker 4: So you would rather them say my perspective.
- 15:37Speaker 5: Yes.
- 15:37Speaker 8: My perspective is good, but I'm just speaking. My truth
- 15:40Speaker 8: means that you're probably lying to me, but you want
- 15:43Speaker 8: me to believe it as like being the truth.
- 15:46Speaker 1: My thing is people saying all the things. It doesn't
- 15:48Speaker 1: bother me. I mean, it doesn't piss me off. but
- 15:52Speaker 1: I just hear people say it all the time. It's
- 15:55Speaker 1: everywhere now. You know, they got married, they had the
- 15:57Speaker 1: big wedding, all the things. I don't mind all the things.
- 16:01Speaker 1: I'm just saying, it doesn't bother me. I just know
- 16:04Speaker 1: it's something people say all the time now. Kind of
- 16:06Speaker 1: like when TikTok or Instagram people go do that thing
- 16:10Speaker 1: where they go.
- 16:12Speaker 5: Come with me as I go get a facial. There's
- 16:14Speaker 5: just a phrase that people say all the time. Come
- 16:16Speaker 5: with me. To me, it's all the things.
- 16:17Speaker 8: What do you have in your store? We have clothes.
- 16:19Speaker 8: We have pants. We have all the things.
- 16:21Speaker 5: We went on vacation. We went to the beach. All
- 16:24Speaker 5: the things. It's like all the things is the new yada, yada, yada.
- 16:28Speaker 8: Yeah, it kind of is. Did you steal this money?
- 16:30Speaker 2: No.
- 16:31Speaker 8: My truth is that the money was mine to begin with.
- 16:36Speaker 8: That's what I'm telling you. I'm calling it out.
- 16:38Speaker 5: No more my truth. You used to have a problem
- 16:39Speaker 5: with it is what it is.
- 16:40Speaker 8: Oh, it is what it is is the biggest nothing
- 16:42Speaker 8: statement of all time.
- 16:43Speaker 6: But sometimes it is what it is.
- 16:45Speaker 8: But that is– what does that mean?
- 16:46Speaker 3: It's not really a nothing statement. It's a statement of acceptance, of–
- 16:49Speaker 3: the current situation.
- 16:51Speaker 8: It is what it is.
- 16:52Speaker 4: You can't do anything about it.
- 16:53Speaker 8: You're really like you're, you're, you're, that could be, it's
- 16:56Speaker 8: also like the problem I had with the TV show.
- 16:59Speaker 8: This is us. Well, that could be the name of
- 17:01Speaker 8: any TV show about anything. This is us. Well, of
- 17:05Speaker 8: course it is. Say something else about what you are.
- 17:09Speaker 8: But this is us. This is us.
- 17:10Speaker 5: I kind of understand that.
- 17:11Speaker 8: It's the most nothing title ever. And it is what
- 17:14Speaker 8: it is. It doesn't say anything either. In my truth,
- 17:16Speaker 8: you're just lying to me and trying to convince me
- 17:17Speaker 8: that it's the truth.
- 17:18Speaker 3: I kind of feel like for someone who's like Rich,
- 17:21Speaker 3: you're really big on grammar.
- 17:23Speaker 8: Words mean things.
- 17:24Speaker 3: Yeah. So I feel like for the rest of us peasants,
- 17:27Speaker 3: it's okay.
- 17:28Speaker 8: Did you just kill that guy? Well, I guess it
- 17:31Speaker 8: is what it is.
- 17:31Speaker 6: No, no.
- 17:32Speaker 5: It's murder.
- 17:33Speaker 8: Call him something else.
