- 0:00Speaker 1: Let's go to Britain and Rold Erld Mikevin Graves. Whether's Devin,
- 0:03Speaker 1: Very good morning.
- 0:04Speaker 2: To you, hi, Mike.
- 0:05Speaker 1: This peace summit in Switzerland, so a lot of people
- 0:07Speaker 1: gather around a table and they all decide that Russia
- 0:09Speaker 1: shouldn't have done what Russia did. Is that about it?
- 0:11Speaker 1: I mean, is anything going to come out of it?
- 0:12Speaker 2: Apart from that, Well, it's going to be very tough,
- 0:15Speaker 2: isn't it. Our main Russia wasn't invited, China didn't turn up,
- 0:18Speaker 2: and America didn't send Joe Biden instead of the President
- 0:22Speaker 2: Deputy Kamala Harris. So although more than ninety countries and
- 0:26Speaker 2: international organizations attended summit, in the end, the communicate that
- 0:32Speaker 2: was the result of this two day hearing in Switzerland
- 0:35Speaker 2: didn't really say much more other than effectively, the Ukraine
- 0:40Speaker 2: is entitled to its territory and there is right to
- 0:44Speaker 2: affirm that it has a right to committing to its
- 0:47Speaker 2: territorial integrity. So basically giving a Russia a slap on
- 0:51Speaker 2: the hand, I can't see it's going to make very
- 0:53Speaker 2: much difference. But what did come out of this, I
- 0:55Speaker 2: think was a show of strength for the Ukrainian efforts,
- 0:59Speaker 2: and also a plea from Zelenski for yet more arms
- 1:02Speaker 2: and yet more longer range missile.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Yeah wasn't I mean, you know, I'm a royalist, Kevin,
- 1:08Speaker 1: but that those shots of the Princess of Wales, I mean,
- 1:11Speaker 1: how fantastically uplifting.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Yeah. So, she hadn't been seen in public since January.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Then we got to after a while speculation on social
- 1:20Speaker 2: media about the cause. Then we heard, of course she'd
- 1:22Speaker 2: got treatment for cancer. She was due to be back
- 1:26Speaker 2: at East but that seems a long time ago. So
- 1:28Speaker 2: for the first time we saw her the Trooping of
- 1:30Speaker 2: the Color. That's the King's official birthday celebration. It has
- 1:34Speaker 2: been held for two hundred and sixty years and all
- 1:37Speaker 2: the senior royals are normally there. So it was absolutely
- 1:40Speaker 2: great to see her there. I have to say she
- 1:42Speaker 2: looked a little thin, a little drawn, but she did
- 1:45Speaker 2: look still pretty amazing, and after all the chemo that
- 1:48Speaker 2: she's been enduring, perhaps that is no surprise at all.
- 1:51Speaker 2: It is Father's here a day here Mike as well,
- 1:54Speaker 2: and the first time Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince
- 1:58Speaker 2: Louis we sent a message. Their first there were social
- 2:00Speaker 2: media posting to their father, Prince William, and Prince William
- 2:03Speaker 2: has sent one to the King, Prince Charles, who of
- 2:05Speaker 2: course also was at the trooping of the Color and
- 2:09Speaker 2: traveled in a carriage there, said to avoid any bugs
- 2:12Speaker 2: that might be going around, as he's got that chemotherapy.
- 2:15Speaker 1: On going exactly good to catch up. Well see you
- 2:17Speaker 1: so might appreciate it. Gavin Gray out of Britain's Morning End.
- 2:19Speaker 1: As I mentioned earlier on beautiful photos of William and
- 2:22Speaker 1: the kids as well, and a very nice photo a
- 2:24Speaker 1: retrospective photo of William and is dead while worth looking
- 2:28Speaker 1: up if you're a fan of the royal family. That
- 2:29Speaker 1: peace summit, by the way, Mark Mitchell was our representative
- 2:32Speaker 1: in that part of the world, So I'll look forward
- 2:33Speaker 1: to many mit Zelensky and I'll look forward to chatting
- 2:36Speaker 1: with him on Wednesday and as regular slot when he returns.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Putin's idea that he sort of put forward a few
- 2:41Speaker 1: ideas for a peace plan, and that involved basically the
- 2:43Speaker 1: Ukrainians leaving Ukraine. If they did that, Russia would be
- 2:48Speaker 1: happy to sit down and talk, so they didn't really
- 2:50Speaker 1: go anywhere. Dumb. I put that in the file of
- 2:53Speaker 1: dumb ideas for more.
- 2:55Speaker 2: From news Talks. It'd be listen live on air or online,
- 2:58Speaker 2: and
- 2:59Speaker 1: Keep our shows with you wherever you go with our
- 3:01Speaker 1: podcasts on iHeartRadio
