First up... the EU Parliament greenlit Chat Control 1.0, and boy, privacy people are reacting like somebody put a Ring camera in the junk drawer. The plan is framed as child safety, which, sure, nobody is against that, but the worry is scanning private messages becomes one of those “temporary” government tools that lives forever…
