  Speaker 1: God works Today. We're gonna dive into sixteen all the

  Speaker 1: way through nineteen, where we see a powerful confrontation between

  Speaker 1: light and darkness. We're gonna look at a slave girl

  Speaker 1: possessed by a spirit of dimonation. Now, this passage teaches

  Speaker 1: us about spiritual discernment, authority in Christ, and boldness and ministry.

  Speaker 1: as we went to prayer that a certain slave girl
• 5:31
  Speaker 1: possessed with a spirit of divination met us who brought
• 5:36
  Speaker 1: more masters, I mean, who brought her masters much profit
• 5:41
  Speaker 1: by fortune telling. Now check this out. These men were
• 5:47
  Speaker 1: in a habit of prayer, even in our time of prayer.
• 5:50
  Speaker 1: The enemy likes to attack us and our time of prayer.
• 5:56
  Speaker 1: Now we know that a praying Christian is a dangerous Christian.

  Speaker 1: And also a church that does not pray is a
• 6:05
  Speaker 1: church that is just playing right. You can either play
• 6:09
  Speaker 1: church or you can be the church. That is a difference.

  Speaker 1: And this was a bold step by the enemy to

  Speaker 1: even attack them in their prayers. Now, how many times

  Speaker 1: in our prayer life do we struggle with distractions, distracting thoughts,

  Speaker 1: intrusive thoughts, phone ringing you think of things that you

  Speaker 1: gotta do. I always think of stuff to I need

  Speaker 1: a update on the website, on his hot site, or
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: you know, just different thoughts come into my head. And

  Speaker 1: I just thought this was interesting that in a time

  Speaker 1: of prayer, this girl, this demon possessed girl, wants to
• 6:44
  Speaker 1: come up and trip. Right now, let's check out what's

  Speaker 1: happening here. A slave girl. She's a slave for one,
• 6:55
  Speaker 1: doubly slave because she has a demon. She's slave. She
• 6:58
  Speaker 1: a slave on the enemy, and she's got some masters.

  Speaker 1: So that's this girl's in a poor condict predicament right here.

  Speaker 1: But as the slave girl follows Paul in the ministry team,

  Speaker 1: declaring messages that seemed like she's prophesying over them. She

  Speaker 1: seems as if she has a prophetic gift. Right. But

  Speaker 1: she was controlled by a demon, and the title of
• 7:27
  Speaker 1: this demon was the Spirit of Dimonation, and she was
• 7:33
  Speaker 1: a fortune teller and she brought her owner's much profit.

  Speaker 1: It's sad, beloved, when you can profit, you can profit
• 7:44
  Speaker 1: off of the kingdom of darkness. I mean, let that
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: hit your spirit, because it's all around us. We see
• 7:54
  Speaker 1: it in business. How do you think these people amass
• 7:59
  Speaker 1: all this wealth. A lot of them sell out to
• 8:04
  Speaker 1: the devil to get that. Not all of them, but
• 8:10
  Speaker 1: there's a lot of them. We see a lot of
• 8:12
  Speaker 1: celebrities in their careers, artists, they sell out. And all
• 8:19
  Speaker 1: you have to do is look on YouTube and you
• 8:21
  Speaker 1: can see the testimony of people who used to serve
• 8:25
  Speaker 1: the devil and they had great wealth and great careers,
• 8:32
  Speaker 1: but they were miserable and they were demonized. So yeah,
• 8:36
  Speaker 1: there's an element of profiting and the kingdom of darkness,
• 8:41
  Speaker 1: and it's sad. People are willing to sell their souls
• 8:44
  Speaker 1: just to profit or even to make a profit. They
• 8:47
  Speaker 1: could care less about this serving girl as long as
• 8:51
  Speaker 1: their money was rolling. Right now, as I said, the
• 8:59
  Speaker 1: spirit was now from God, it was demonic. Now, many
• 9:03
  Speaker 1: people can confuse phenomena with God's work now, especially when
• 9:15
  Speaker 1: there is a prophet or attention that comes from this. Now,
• 9:21
  Speaker 1: Paul recognizes the source of her power immediately, that all
• 9:28
  Speaker 1: spiritual signs are from God. That's one thing that we
• 9:32
  Speaker 1: got to really get into our hearts, because in the
• 9:37
  Speaker 1: last days there's gonna be miracle signs and wonders, but
• 9:40
  Speaker 1: they're gonna be demonically inspired to further deception that's going
• 9:45
  Speaker 1: to come up on the world. Now, profit or influence
• 9:51
  Speaker 1: can sometimes mask deception. Right, there's things that we wouldn't
• 9:58
  Speaker 1: do and if it wasn't for someone else influencing us.

  Speaker 1: In the enemy uses a lot of celebrities and artists
• 10:09
  Speaker 1: to further his deception upon the world. Discernment is essential
• 10:16
  Speaker 1: for every believer. I wish I had more discernment in
• 10:20
  Speaker 1: my earlier days of my ministry, but it's not too late,
• 10:25
  Speaker 1: and Beloved, that's something we all need to pray for
• 10:29
  Speaker 1: and pray to grow in. Amen. Now, we live in
• 10:35
  Speaker 1: a culture where everyone claims prophetic insight, but God always
• 10:41
  Speaker 1: points to the truth, freedom and obedience. If someone is
• 10:49
  Speaker 1: prop a scientier life and it doesn't bring you to freedom,
• 10:53
  Speaker 1: or if it doesn't encourage you to more obedience to God,
• 10:58
  Speaker 1: then I would say that that could possibly be a
• 11:02
  Speaker 1: false prophet. Right, we have to test every spirit Verse seventeen. Now,
• 11:14
  Speaker 1: this girl followed Paul and us and cried out saying,
• 11:20
  Speaker 1: these men are the servants of the Most High God
• 11:25
  Speaker 1: who proclaimed to us the way of salvation. Now, this
• 11:32
  Speaker 1: girl spoke the truth, but noticed her source was not
• 11:37
  Speaker 1: faith but demonic influence. And she recognized God's servant, but
• 11:45
  Speaker 1: she did not know them. She recognized them, but she
• 11:50
  Speaker 1: did not have a relationship with them. She was not
• 11:53
  Speaker 1: a part of them. Amen. Even a demonic spirit can
• 12:02
  Speaker 1: recognize Jesus's authority. Let me say that again, even a
• 12:07
  Speaker 1: demon can recognize Jesus's authority. That doesn't mean it is
• 12:17
  Speaker 1: saved or in submission.
• 12:21
  Speaker 3: Lost another one.

  Speaker 1: Just because you recognize the authority of Christ doesn't mean
• 12:27
  Speaker 1: that you're saved or submitted to a life of Christ. Amen.

  Speaker 1: Now this is the dangerous part. Truth can be proclaimed

  Speaker 1: by wrong sources, but salvation and freedom come from obedience
• 12:46
  Speaker 1: to and from faith. Let me say that again. Truth
• 12:51
  Speaker 1: can be proclaimed by wrong sources, but salvation and freedom
• 12:59
  Speaker 1: can come can only come from obedience to the Gospel
• 13:05
  Speaker 1: and faith in Christ. Now, even Paul wrote in one
• 13:11
  Speaker 1: of his epistles that some preach Christ out of contention,
• 13:16
  Speaker 1: but he rejoices for the fact that Christ is being preached.
• 13:20
  Speaker 1: There's still power in the message. God will use a
• 13:23
  Speaker 1: false prophet or someone who's not right with him to
• 13:28
  Speaker 1: get the message out. Now, all right, all right, all right,
• 13:47
  Speaker 1: I had to take a quick break. But where was I?

  Speaker 1: So we were talking about salvation. Freedom comes only by obedience. Right. Now,
• 13:58
  Speaker 1: this is a reminder to believers to recognize God's work

  Speaker 1: in God's people. Now, we can't mistake spiritual recognition for
• 14:13
  Speaker 1: spiritual transformation to faith will produce freedom. It will not
• 14:21
  Speaker 1: lead us back into bondage. Amen, alright, verse eighteen. And

  Speaker 1: this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed,
• 14:36
  Speaker 1: turned and said to the spirit, I command you, in
• 14:39
  Speaker 1: the name of Jesus Christ, to come out of her.
• 14:43
  Speaker 1: And he came out that very hour. Hallelujah. Now Paul
• 14:51
  Speaker 1: sees that this poor girl is in bondage, he decides
• 14:58
  Speaker 1: to speak authority in Jesus' name, and the girl is
• 15:05
  Speaker 1: instantly set free. Right, true faith will bring you, will
• 15:11
  Speaker 1: bring you to freedom. Believers have authority over demons through Christ.
• 15:24
  Speaker 1: Let me say that again. Believers that are submitted to
• 15:27
  Speaker 1: God can't resist the devil and he must flee. We
• 15:31
  Speaker 1: have authority through Christ. Deliverance is immediate when commanded in
• 15:47
  Speaker 1: the name of Jesus. Now, Paul did not argue or
• 15:53
  Speaker 1: negotiate with this demon with this spirit. Right, he acted
• 15:59
  Speaker 1: in bold faith. Amen, Where is your bold faith today?

  Speaker 1: Where is my bold faith today? Amen. Now, family, there's
• 16:18
  Speaker 1: power in the name of Jesus. You can confront fear, addiction,
• 16:24
  Speaker 1: and you can confront oppression. God has given you authority
• 16:30
  Speaker 1: over all these things. Authority is not earned. There's nothing
• 16:36
  Speaker 1: you can do to earn this authority. It is a gift.
• 16:40
  Speaker 1: It is given in Christ. Once you put on Christ,
• 16:44
  Speaker 1: his authority comes with him. Let me say that again.
• 16:50
  Speaker 1: When you put on Christ is exactly what God wants
• 16:55
  Speaker 1: you to do. Wants us to do everything that is
• 16:59
  Speaker 1: in Christ. We inherit. We become heirs of Heaven, and
• 17:04
  Speaker 1: a part of that is His authority. We are able
• 17:09
  Speaker 1: to wield against the force of darkness. If that doesn't
• 17:13
  Speaker 1: make you bold, I don't know what will. Amen. Now,

  Speaker 1: boldness requires annoyance with wrong, compassion for the oppressed, and
• 17:33
  Speaker 1: faith and action. Let me say that again. Boldness requires
• 17:37
  Speaker 1: annoyance with what is wrong. Right, We got to be annoyed,
• 17:43
  Speaker 1: get annoyed with what the devil is doing to our
• 17:47
  Speaker 1: brothers and sisters. We need to have compassion for all
• 17:53
  Speaker 1: those who are oppressed. That will provoke us to action
• 18:01
  Speaker 1: in faith. Amen. All right, Verse nineteen. But when her
• 18:06
  Speaker 1: masters saw that her hope for profit was gone, they
• 18:11
  Speaker 1: seize Paul in Silence and dragged them into the marketplace
• 18:16
  Speaker 1: to the authorities. Now this girl is set free, but
• 18:23
  Speaker 1: her owners lose profit. That's all they cared about. That
• 18:29
  Speaker 1: is sad the human heart. Right. Then they retaliated against
• 18:34
  Speaker 1: Paul and Silence. They wanted their demons. It's sad when
• 18:39
  Speaker 1: people love their demons, right, It's a sad thing when
• 18:44
  Speaker 1: people love their demons. Now, ministry often triggers resistance when
• 18:56
  Speaker 1: the enemy's power is removed. This can happen even in church, beloved,
• 19:04
  Speaker 1: when you want to rise up, and I've seen it.
• 19:06
  Speaker 1: People want to rise up in new ministry, or rise
• 19:10
  Speaker 1: up in a new area, in a new era, a
• 19:12
  Speaker 1: new need, and they're fulfilling that need. People will get annoyed.
• 19:17
  Speaker 1: They will either get jealous or they'll hate on you.
• 19:21
  Speaker 1: All kinds of things can happen, right. Deliverance can create
• 19:27
  Speaker 1: opposition from those invested in spiritual deception. Let me say
• 19:35
  Speaker 1: that again. Deliverance can create opposition from those who invest
• 19:40
  Speaker 1: in spiritual deception. Think about all the witchcraft that is
• 19:44
  Speaker 1: on the rise in our generation today. Think about all
• 19:51
  Speaker 1: the evil that is happening. People are invested. You know
• 19:55
  Speaker 1: that a lot of these spells, these books in a
• 20:00
  Speaker 1: a lot of material that is needed to perform their witchcraft.
• 20:06
  Speaker 1: You know that this stuff is expensive. It costs a
• 20:09
  Speaker 1: lot of money. They have to truly invest in this
• 20:15
  Speaker 1: wickedness that we see run rampant. There's a whole I mean,
• 20:21
  Speaker 1: that's a whole nother podcast, But there's a whole another
• 20:25
  Speaker 1: movement in underworld that is moving in our generation today,
• 20:31
  Speaker 1: and they're moving against us, the believers the Kingdom of God.

  Speaker 1: It won't be too long beloved before Christianity will be

  Speaker 1: outlawed in the United States. It's already outlawed throughout the

  Speaker 1: whole country if you've been paying attention. It just has
• 20:50
  Speaker 1: not hit the United States yet. And we got to

  Speaker 1: be prepared. Most of myria are selfish, self centered people.

  Speaker 1: What makes you think that they will be arrested for

  Speaker 1: Christ or even lay down their lives for Christ for

  Speaker 1: the truth? Only a changed heart who will be able

  Speaker 1: to withstand what's coming on the land. Amen. True ministry

  Speaker 1: is costly, but the results are eternal. Life. This world

  Speaker 1: is temporary. Don't trip. Do not trip on this world,

  Speaker 1: this world, this life is passing by. Even if you

  Speaker 1: live one hundred years. What is that compared to all eternity.

  Speaker 1: We need to be preparing for our eternal resting place.

  Speaker 1: The people who go to heaven are the people who

  Speaker 1: are intentional, people who are walking with the Lord. The

  Speaker 1: people who are going to hell are the people who

  Speaker 1: think they're not going, the ones who think that their

  Speaker 1: sin is okay. God means what he says, and he

  Speaker 1: says what he means. You need to look in a

  Speaker 1: book of Galatians where he speaks about the works of

  Speaker 1: the flesh. And if you believe in the word of God,

  Speaker 1: you know that there's many promises given by God, and

  Speaker 1: God keeps his word. And so when Paul goes through

  Speaker 1: this list, there's a promise at the end of the
• 22:32
  Speaker 1: list that those who practice such things will not inherit
• 22:36
  Speaker 1: the kingdom of God. Don't gamble with your soul, beloved,
• 22:41
  Speaker 1: And the things on the list are the works of
• 22:43
  Speaker 1: the flesh. You know, if you live a life and
• 22:47
  Speaker 1: you're dominated by your fleshly desires, if you're always jealous
• 22:51
  Speaker 1: or always angry, are always lustful, if you're living a
• 22:57
  Speaker 1: life of sexual activity outside of marriage, or even if
• 23:01
  Speaker 1: you're living a life of homosexuality, if you're molesting children,
• 23:07
  Speaker 1: That is sexual immorality. Those are the works of the flesh.
• 23:10
  Speaker 1: And how dare you think you're going to heaven. People
• 23:14
  Speaker 1: have the audacity to think they can live a life
• 23:17
  Speaker 1: for themselves, a life of sin, and God will just
• 23:20
  Speaker 1: wink at them and just let them in the kingdom. No,
• 23:23
  Speaker 1: you are going to burn in hell for all eternity.

  Speaker 1: Not to say this, beloved, because I love you a man,
• 23:30
  Speaker 1: but I'm just saying the word. You gotta read the
• 23:32
  Speaker 1: word yourself. The word is going to be what's going
• 23:36
  Speaker 1: to judge you on that day. It's not debate. It's
• 23:40
  Speaker 1: not what you think. It's his word. What did he say?

  Speaker 1: He gave a commandment that all of sin and comes
• 23:48
  Speaker 1: short of the glory of God. We all need a savior.

  Speaker 1: It's not a popularity contest. It doesn't matter how talented
• 23:56
  Speaker 1: or how gifted you are. No, what matters is did

  Speaker 1: you know Jesus? And did Jesus know you? Did you

  Speaker 1: live for him? Did you repent and turn from a
• 24:09
  Speaker 1: life of sin? Because Beloved, we were created to know him.

  Speaker 1: That's the only thing that matters in his life. Everything
• 24:19
  Speaker 1: else is God will add blessings to your life. Your
• 24:23
  Speaker 1: wife and your children and your career and all that. Yes,
• 24:27
  Speaker 1: these are all blessings from God, but this is not
• 24:30
  Speaker 1: the meaning of life. Right. You got to know that
• 24:34
  Speaker 1: there's something missing that you feel empty inside, Well, that's God.
• 24:38
  Speaker 1: God is missing from your life, and he provided the
• 24:42
  Speaker 1: way for you to come to Him. But it's through
• 24:49
  Speaker 1: his son who shed his blood. He died in your place.
• 24:52
  Speaker 1: We deserve the cross, we deserve the death, but Jesus
• 24:58
  Speaker 1: took it for us. And if you refuse that, you
• 25:01
  Speaker 1: deserve to go to hell. I mean, I don't know

  Speaker 1: what to say. You think God is gonna be happy
• 25:08
  Speaker 1: that you rejected his son who suffered, he bled, he
• 25:15
  Speaker 1: was tortured and whiped just to parting you so that
• 25:19
  Speaker 1: you could be forgiven in this life. You think you're
• 25:22
  Speaker 1: not gonna have to answer that for that if you

  Speaker 1: ignore him. I don't know why God has got me

  Speaker 1: on this, but I'm really sharing the gospel right now. Amen,
