- 2:24Speaker 2: Are you all right?
- 2:25Speaker 4: Oh, I'm fine, I'm absolutely fine. But she's been a
- 2:27Speaker 4: hot day. As you know, phil across America is going
- 2:31Speaker 4: to be in the nineties, maybe even in the one hundreds,
- 2:34Speaker 4: and a lot of people are worried about that. All
- 2:36Speaker 4: Its feel a little warm here, but I'm not sure yet.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Are you okay?
- 2:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm okay, but I'm monitoring the heat. And I
- 2:43Speaker 4: was walking around. I was waiting to go on the
- 2:45Speaker 4: air with you, and I had my remote kid. I
- 2:47Speaker 4: have my remote kid in on my my You know
- 2:50Speaker 4: the fanty pack that I have. I got my microphone.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Hein't fanny pack. Let's have a butt shut up? Oh well,
- 2:57Speaker 2: oh so you think because I don't take the bait.
- 3:03Speaker 4: No, no, no, you'll think because I wear a fanny
- 3:06Speaker 4: pack that I got stuff from there for my fanny
- 3:09Speaker 4: Is that?
- 3:09Speaker 2: But just here, you're the guy who said it, Bud,
- 3:12Speaker 2: shut up. You know what a fanny pack is.
- 3:14Speaker 4: Yeah, fanny pack is something who keeps suplies in when
- 3:16Speaker 4: you work something you would know you would know nothing.
- 3:19Speaker 2: About I know about working me. You have to tell
- 3:21Speaker 2: me about that.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Yeah, oh really, do you wear a fanny pack or
- 3:24Speaker 4: you just keep a supplies there for your fanny? God
- 3:27Speaker 4: damn it.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Phil, all right, everybody calm the hell down. And that
- 3:29Speaker 2: was not even necessari Oh it was good natured jack, So.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Come on, oh oh, I'm sure you, Jackie was good nature.
- 3:36Speaker 1: But nonetheless, we appreciate you being there for the World Cup.
- 3:39Speaker 1: And you say it's getting warm.
- 3:41Speaker 4: It's getting a little warm. That's all I tried to
- 3:43Speaker 4: say to your film. I'm trying to say that to
- 3:44Speaker 4: the general when I was on earlier. I'm feeling the heat.
- 3:48Speaker 4: I feel you know.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Well, then what you need to do is get off
- 3:51Speaker 2: the air right now, because I don't want you getting hurt.
- 3:52Speaker 2: I don't want you to, you know, get get off
- 3:54Speaker 2: the air, find some somewhere cool to sit.
- 3:56Speaker 4: I'm fine, I'm fine. Listen. One thing about Jack Armstrong
- 3:59Speaker 4: is pushing through you know, mator what I'm in a
- 4:02Speaker 4: nice shaded pavilion right now. I'm looking at the box doors.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Throw just let me get my breath.
- 4:09Speaker 2: You don't sound good at all.
- 4:11Speaker 4: No, No, it's fine. I think one of the problems
- 4:14Speaker 4: feel for me at the World Cup as we are
- 4:16Speaker 4: excitedly looking forward to the United States playing Bosnia Herzeglobinia,
- 4:20Speaker 4: which is going to start at five PM. Now, I
- 4:22Speaker 4: know that Thissh is airing the day after, so I
- 4:24Speaker 4: won't tell you nothing about how the game went, even
- 4:26Speaker 4: though I don't know how the game went on account
- 4:28Speaker 4: it ain't started yet.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Are you laughing?
- 4:32Speaker 4: Yeah? I just did.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Jack Armstrong with us from Santa Clara Stadium, which is
- 4:37Speaker 2: where the San Francisco forty nine ers play.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Let me just tell you one thing about the heat,
- 4:41Speaker 1: very very strange.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Jack. We're here in Sierra Madre. It is right about
- 4:45Speaker 2: the time where you're feeling all that heat in San
- 4:47Speaker 2: Francis go and it's temperature can't be a much more
- 4:49Speaker 2: than seventy five.
- 4:51Speaker 4: Well, you're talking about it.
- 4:53Speaker 2: I'm telling you we haven't felt any heat here yet.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Now it's expected to go What but tomorrow it's gonna
- 4:57Speaker 2: go up in the in the eighties, It's gonna go
- 4:59Speaker 2: in the ninety maybe the eighties.
- 5:01Speaker 1: What do you mean is going into the nineties maybe
- 5:03Speaker 1: the eighties?
- 5:04Speaker 2: Wow, what you mean it's gonna go into the eighties
- 5:06Speaker 2: maybe the nineties? Yeh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, A
- 5:09Speaker 2: nice one.
- 5:10Speaker 4: Okay, thanks a loving for that, But well I knowed
- 5:12Speaker 4: it'll get into the nineties, maybe even the eighties.
- 5:16Speaker 2: You know something, man, you know?
- 5:17Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah, what about it?
- 5:19Speaker 2: You guys cease fire? As Dale Die said famously in
- 5:22Speaker 2: the movie Platoon. All right, yeah yeah, okay, So I
- 5:27Speaker 2: have with me and I want to waste this opportunity.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Jack Armstrong at the World Cup, do you have a
- 5:32Speaker 2: prediction for us? Jack? Have you seen any of the games?
- 5:34Speaker 4: I think it's what I'm watching it on television with
- 5:36Speaker 4: a lot of you, because we just seen the game
- 5:38Speaker 4: from Seattle, which was Senegal and what do you call it?
- 5:42Speaker 2: What's the team Senegal was playing?
- 5:45Speaker 4: You know Belgium, Yeah, Senegal and Belgium. And I've seen
- 5:48Speaker 4: where Belgium come back. I don't know. I can tell
- 5:51Speaker 4: you the games like from yesterday or two days ago
- 5:54Speaker 4: that everybody knows about it. I think it was a
- 5:57Speaker 4: fantastic win by England to be who beat the Congo.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Harry Kane kicked them wool kicks in and I think
- 6:05Speaker 4: that's who America from America gets past.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Bosta, Bosta, Hobo, Bosnia, Hurtzegovinia is the way I understand.
- 6:13Speaker 4: Yeah, Okay, Bosnia Herzegovinia. That's what America is gonna be playing.
- 6:17Speaker 4: I think England in the next uh round the sixteen.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Are you kidding me?
- 6:24Speaker 4: No, that's what I understand.
- 6:26Speaker 2: That'll be an epic game. Man. I don't think it's
- 6:28Speaker 2: gonna be US in England. I think it's England and Mexico.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Well, I don't know, you.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Know, I'll give me shy look Jack, you know, if
- 6:36Speaker 2: you don't want to be there.
- 6:37Speaker 4: It's just phil. I mean, it's just that it's high.
- 6:41Speaker 4: I don't have to you know, if I'll just say
- 6:43Speaker 4: it right, I don't have the big I don't care
- 6:46Speaker 4: about the soccer.
- 6:47Speaker 2: You know it's called football.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, I know it's called football.
- 6:52Speaker 4: People saying that to me all day long. I don't care.
- 6:56Speaker 4: The game bores me to tears. I'm here because you
- 6:58Speaker 4: asked me to come up here, so I'm here. I'm
- 7:01Speaker 4: looking at these.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Chokes more chumps.
- 7:04Speaker 2: So you have no respect for the game at all.
- 7:06Speaker 4: You look feel they're running around in their little short
- 7:08Speaker 4: shorts and they're going way and they're kicking the ball.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Look the ball.
- 7:13Speaker 2: I think it's an extremely exciting and skill to get
- 7:15Speaker 2: it takes a lot of skill. Yeah, you are you
- 7:17Speaker 2: watching the same game we're watching? Man? Are you sitting
- 7:19Speaker 2: there playing pad? You know? Are you playing? Are you playing?
- 7:22Speaker 2: You know, pocket paddle?
- 7:25Speaker 4: Playing pocket paddle? I work for a living. Give okay,
- 7:28Speaker 4: you understand.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Listen, don't insult the guy. What what are you doing? Man?
- 7:32Speaker 2: I mean you're watching soccer and not digging it. Huh.
- 7:34Speaker 4: Oh I think it's boring. Okay, there, I just said it.
- 7:38Speaker 4: It bores me too dead to look at this and
- 7:41Speaker 4: I got to sit here. Oh man, I'm sorry. Feel
- 7:46Speaker 4: like I should be a professional.
- 7:47Speaker 2: I would say that you should be a professional, even
- 7:50Speaker 2: if you hate it, even if you despise soccer football,
- 7:53Speaker 2: what the hell you call it? You should be there
- 7:55Speaker 2: reporting objectively and giving us the color and the pageantrate.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Okay, okay, I'm sorry, I'm watching. I watched the Senegal game.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Oh will you quit crying? Blow your nose or something.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Okay, hold on, I watched the Senegal Belgium game. I
- 8:12Speaker 4: dug the game between Oh you know the game that
- 8:14Speaker 4: was funky? Man was Norway. They got their ass kicked
- 8:18Speaker 4: by like Paraguays. So Norway's done. They're done. How do
- 8:22Speaker 4: you like that man, they're not even in it no more.
- 8:24Speaker 2: You sure that's Norway? Wasn't Sweden?
- 8:26Speaker 4: Sweden played France. They got beat by France.
- 8:28Speaker 2: So you got the scores going, Yeah, I got the scores.
- 8:31Speaker 4: I can read a ticket tape as well as anybody else.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Is there a news area that you guys can gather
- 8:36Speaker 2: and get information.
- 8:37Speaker 4: There's a place over here. They said you can go
- 8:40Speaker 4: over here and get a glass of water if you
- 8:41Speaker 4: you gotta pass out. And we got some Lewis so oh.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Jack Armstrong with us from Santa Clara. The game buzzny

- 8:52Speaker 2: Any predictions, I you know, I.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Don't have no prediction in my own way, and in
- 8:57Speaker 4: my I kind of hope I love them, I love America,
- 9:02Speaker 4: but I kind of hope America loses because all these
- 9:04Speaker 4: jibass everywhere I go in USA, Hey, USA.
- 9:09Speaker 1: You know, people are proud of the country, and I
- 9:11Speaker 1: want to cheer. What's wrong with that?
- 9:12Speaker 4: Jack? It's just in my ear us. I walk by,
- 9:15Speaker 4: this guy goes like that, and I wanted to My
- 9:19Speaker 4: first instinct was to bury my fist right in the
- 9:23Speaker 4: area where his nose would have been and there would
- 9:26Speaker 4: be no nose. You see what I say? You see
- 9:28Speaker 4: how I say film, Yes, I hear you. Okay. That
- 9:30Speaker 4: was my first instant. When the guy Thurst mees USA,

- 15:34Speaker 2: Is that your pet?
- 15:35Speaker 4: No? Will you just let me finish for a crush
- 15:37Speaker 4: not a crutch. What I was gonna say, Phil, is
- 15:41Speaker 4: I have a dog by the name of Ray Morton.
- 15:45Speaker 4: And it's a wonderful It's.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Just like kurbing the dog's name.
- 15:49Speaker 4: What I knew you'd do this. The dog's name is
- 15:52Speaker 4: Ray Morton. The reason why I gave it a human
- 15:53Speaker 4: name is because I can relate to the animal. It
- 15:56Speaker 4: makes me feel like maybe there's somebody after that gives
- 15:58Speaker 4: a shit.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Phil, Older, Phil, I'm not going to ask you if
- 16:03Speaker 2: you're married. You asked me not to ask you any
- 16:04Speaker 2: of that stuff. I have to assume, though, that you're
- 16:08Speaker 2: kind of living a solitary life.
- 16:09Speaker 4: Oh not at all. If you know anything about me,
- 16:12Speaker 4: which you don't even though you're me, You apparently don't
- 16:16Speaker 4: know me because you know that I like to have
- 16:18Speaker 4: people around.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Well, I never necessarily liked having people around.
- 16:22Speaker 4: But you're not going to go more than a couple
- 16:24Speaker 4: of days without having people to see and to go
- 16:27Speaker 4: and to see. Eh. Okay, yeah, so no, there's people
- 16:32Speaker 4: in my life and that's the way I like it.
- 16:35Speaker 4: You think I'm antisocial because I'm old. I'm not anti
- 16:39Speaker 4: social because i'm old. I'm anti social sometimes because I
- 16:43Speaker 4: don't like people. Eh, as you you don't get that.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I understand. But you have a dog.
- 16:49Speaker 4: You have a diet a dog.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Yes, you have a dog named Ray Morton. And you
- 16:54Speaker 2: were going to say something about Kirby.
- 16:55Speaker 4: Yes, it's an Irish terrier. It's a big, beautiful Irish
- 16:59Speaker 4: terrier just like doesn't look like Kirby. It's a little
- 17:01Speaker 4: got longer hair, but God rest his soul. Kirby was
- 17:04Speaker 4: an inspiration for so much. And so when I saw
- 17:07Speaker 4: this beautiful animal is a rescue and.
- 17:10Speaker 2: I okay, so all right, so you got him as
- 17:12Speaker 2: the rescue.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Good yeah, I did. I got him as a rescue,
- 17:15Speaker 4: and so I said, Actually, I say, as a lot
- 17:18Speaker 4: of people do. He rescued me from being bored to
- 17:22Speaker 4: tears like I am right now, I'm Phil Henry at
- 17:25Speaker 4: the age of ninety three.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Phil. Hold on, wait a minute, Oh no, but I
- 17:29Speaker 2: ask you just a few more questions. How often and
- 17:32Speaker 2: what opportunities do we get to speak to ourselves in
- 17:35Speaker 2: the future. You know what I'm saying, Yes, I get
- 17:37Speaker 2: in the future.
- 17:38Speaker 4: I understand, Phil, I understand.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Okay, I'm talking to myself at the age of ninety three,
- 17:44Speaker 2: and he's telling me I can't ask him anything specific.
- 17:48Speaker 2: That's against the rules. But who set these rules up?
- 17:51Speaker 4: By the way, don't worry about it. It's against the rules.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Okay. So I can't ask about you know, whether I'm married,
- 17:56Speaker 2: who's in my life, or any like that, but you
- 17:58Speaker 2: can give me some general ideas as to yourself.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I tell you about my I've got this. I've
- 18:03Speaker 4: got Ray Morton, and I have a cat by the
- 18:06Speaker 4: name of the of the Boomerang, and it's a beaut
- 18:08Speaker 4: It's a long haired cat, just like just like a
- 18:11Speaker 4: thunder was.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Wait, the cat's name is the boomerang.
- 18:14Speaker 4: Yeah, so I've got the boomerang and Ray Morton. I
- 18:17Speaker 4: guess if here's Phil going.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Well, if you're me, then you think it's funny too, of.
- 18:22Speaker 4: Course I do. I think the whole thing's are right.
- 18:24Speaker 4: But I you know, I've got to maintain some decorum.
- 18:28Speaker 4: So if you laugh, I have to give you, you know,
- 18:30Speaker 4: a what for?
- 18:32Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I understand. Phil. Phil Henry twenty
- 18:35Speaker 2: years into the future talking to me, Phil Henry here
