54. Dolphins Shake Up the Roster: Bo & Joe React to the Tyreek Hill Exit · Out to Pasture

• 0:10
[SPEAKER_01]: OK, Joe, things are moving and it'll open the land, man.
• 0:13
[SPEAKER_01]: They're moving along, and they're not wasting any time.
• 0:16
[SPEAKER_00]: John Eric Sullivan's been busy.
• 0:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, man, John Eric, and Jeff Haffley, you know, getting his is input into it, uh, and look, I like what they're doing.
• 0:23
[SPEAKER_01]: I like what they're doing, but first we've got to, like, end more sawgrass, automol, our great sponsor, Chris Atkins, you know, I mean, just takes really good care of us.
• 0:32
  [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody goes in.
• 0:33
[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, nothing better than petty Morrison.
• 0:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Again, Cadillac, GMC, Buick, Chevrolet, whatever you want, they've got a ton of inventory and the service is second and none.
• 0:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I can't say enough about those guys at the top that you just mentioned, but it's the products, it's the service.
• 0:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Man, you get great deals.
• 0:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I know we bought different cars, Buick's and Chevy's and everything else from those guys, they really do a great job.
• 1:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so look, I mean, you know, if you're down here in the South Florida area, I think you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you don't stop in the and more sawgrass automole.
• 1:08
[SPEAKER_01]: But so let's go back to the dolphins now.
• 1:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, these guys, you know, I like what they're doing.
• 1:13
[SPEAKER_01]: So so, uh, you know, just just yesterday, uh, Ty Reak, you know that, you know, that was going to be coming.
• 1:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Chub, not officially off, but as soon as I think as soon as the March is the start of the new year, and they get the most out of the dollar.
• 1:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Then I think they will have a dollar account.
• 1:30
  [SPEAKER_01]: Chub is gone.
• 1:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Westbrook and Keenie, Garn, and James Daniels, and James Daniels, so James Daniels was an eight million dollar hit last year, right?
• 1:43
  [SPEAKER_01]: because $8 million.
• 1:44
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:44
  [SPEAKER_01]: Played three plays.
• 1:46
  [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
• 1:46
[SPEAKER_01]: So he got paid $2.6 million.
• 1:48
  [SPEAKER_01]: You did the amount.
• 1:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: Come over here.
• 1:51
[SPEAKER_01]: I did the damn fucking math.
• 1:53
  [SPEAKER_01]: $2.6 million a play.
• 1:56
  [SPEAKER_01]: Joe, $2.6 million.
• 2:00
[SPEAKER_01]: You and I could probably combine our total, all the money we made in the NFL.
• 2:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
• 2:19
  [SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's it.
• 2:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Apparently they thought the same thing that weren't waiting for year two to see if he was going to come back healthy.
• 2:25
[SPEAKER_01]: But, but I like what they're doing.
• 2:27
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I like they're being deliberate.
• 2:28
[SPEAKER_01]: And none of these are really any any surprise.
• 2:32
  [SPEAKER_01]: But I just, I just like, it's a, it's a different feel.
• 2:36
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a different, it's a feel like they've got a plan and they've got a structure and they've got things that they're looking forward, especially now you're getting, you're getting to, you know, you're coming into the draft starts draft up and
• 2:46
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we're going around the corner and all these mock graphs you've gone through the combine, you've gone through the, um, when you haven't gone through the combine, it's coming up another week or so.
• 2:55
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 2:55
[SPEAKER_01]: And then, but you've gone through all the, the, the, the senior bull, all those types of things, and then you'll have the, uh, the, uh, the pro days and stuff like that, but, so there's, you know, you know, uh, a John Eric Sullivan's neck deep, neck deep right now in what's going on.
• 3:09
[SPEAKER_00]: He, he's got a great game plan.
• 3:11
[SPEAKER_00]: No, by the way, fresh, you know, we got new thoughts, we got,
• 3:14
[SPEAKER_00]: new people in important positions, starting at the top.
• 3:18
[SPEAKER_00]: But listen, boy, it needs to be cleaned up.
• 3:21
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how else to say it nicely, but we had a mass that needs to be the guys we're talking about, listen, I'd love to keep Bradley Chubb.
• 3:30
[SPEAKER_00]: It's one of the best players on the defense.
• 3:35
[SPEAKER_01]: But he's got a big number bow and you know, it's the other guys on this team.
• 3:40
[SPEAKER_01]: He's a guy that wants to play.
• 3:41
[SPEAKER_01]: He wants to be, he wants to be.
• 3:43
  [SPEAKER_01]: He was a leader.
• 3:44
[SPEAKER_01]: He's a guy that's going to go out and play as hard as he can.
• 3:46
[SPEAKER_01]: And, and so yeah, I would love him back.
• 3:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I would love to let the numbers vote.
• 3:50
[SPEAKER_00]: They they're way over and they're trying to they're trying to get this thing back under control and they've so got the big two a hit.
• 3:56
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's, and that's the biggest that that's coming.
• 4:00
[SPEAKER_00]: So they're trying to work around it.
• 4:01
[SPEAKER_00]: That leads to, hey, if you do like Malik Willis, like a lot of people think the former backup quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, they know better than anybody and and bow, they're trying to figure off.
• 4:11
[SPEAKER_00]: They can afford them if they do like them.
• 4:13
[SPEAKER_00]: They might not be able to.
• 4:14
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of teams looking for
• 4:15
[SPEAKER_01]: So let's talk about that.
• 4:17
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, look, like you said, and I've said this before, is that if anyone knows them, they know they know what he is and no head coach, so I'm every day in practice.
• 4:26
[SPEAKER_01]: What he can do, but boy, I come in at like a 20 million, 25 million dollar number.
• 4:33
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that's, that's, you got a jug of that thing in there and I don't know if he's, if he's, he's going to be willing to take a less.
• 4:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what he's going to do on the open market.
• 4:43
[SPEAKER_01]: But boy, I tell you, it's, you know, and then you know they're gonna grab some quarterbacks, and I'm probably not probably on the second or third round, but I would guess somewhere beyond that, they're gonna bring at least one or two, gonna be a bunch of free ages, they're gonna be a crowded room.
• 4:56
[SPEAKER_00]: The only thing that I would say on behalf of Millique Willis, if they like him and again, they'll know one.
• 5:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, if he's the one guy,
• 5:03
[SPEAKER_00]: of all these free agents of all the guys you could trade for the older veteran guys that are going to be back up somewhere.
• 5:10
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 5:10
[SPEAKER_00]: He's the one guy to me.
• 5:11
[SPEAKER_00]: It's got the most upside to potentially not be a banded here.
• 5:14
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 5:15
[SPEAKER_00]: But be the future quarterback with a great arm.
• 5:18
[SPEAKER_00]: He can run and again, that that decision has got to be made.
• 5:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: You made miss.
• 5:23
[SPEAKER_00]: And but well, if you think that guy's got to check.
• 5:26
[SPEAKER_01]: We got to start taking
• 5:29
[SPEAKER_01]: If they go, if they go in and they pay him what he wants, that's going to tell you what they think of it.
• 5:34
  [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
• 5:35
[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to tell you exactly what they think.
• 5:37
[SPEAKER_01]: If they start kind of chipping away and maybe you know, then maybe you're a waffle a little bit or maybe you do look maybe you get smart and you're able to get them for a little bit less.
• 5:47
[SPEAKER_01]: But I think that's going to be there.
• 5:48
[SPEAKER_01]: If they give him a good salary, I think that they're that's going to say, hey, this is we're stamp putting the stamp on him and he's our guy and anybody else coming in here has got to kind of figure out if they can push me down.
• 6:00
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, no, I wouldn't agree.
• 6:02
[SPEAKER_00]: By the money he's paid, you will know if the dolphins do take him the money that's going to take you have a pretty good feel for how they feel about them.
• 6:10
[SPEAKER_01]: And so Joe, the other conversation certainly we had with you last week when I was on your show was talking about that interior defense of front.
• 6:18
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pretty, I'm pretty sad on let's keep these guys and let's let's let's get another inside tackle.
• 6:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go ahead and find a pass, Russia.
• 6:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe another offensive line to cover corner and get it and well, cover corner's got to be.
• 6:33
  [SPEAKER_01]: It's got to be.
• 6:34
[SPEAKER_01]: To me cover corner got to be first second pick, right?
• 6:37
[SPEAKER_01]: first round pit, second round pit because it's a, they need to shut down guy.
• 6:42
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right.
• 6:43
  [SPEAKER_00]: He do.
• 6:44
  [SPEAKER_00]: I totally agree.
• 6:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm looking, we got listen, they're going to be looking at four or five different positions, best player.
• 6:50
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think offense align getting a guard, a guard tackle,
• 6:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Whether when you want to start I think you add that guy and if he has to start if you like your tackle situation letting start a guard And work them out when you have to there's just a lot of things.
• 7:05
[SPEAKER_01]: I think we got to go better on the offensive Well, so look I'm you know you've got holes you've got holes and certainly the right guard is a hole you're your center and your left tackle You're you're pretty good there you hope for Savaya and I that he can be but but there's no there's no guarantee on that
• 7:21
[SPEAKER_01]: and the one guy that's that if if if you could and look if you can be confident that Austin Jackson is going to come here going to play because he played well when he played and he's going to be able to be on the field for you know a bigger percentage than snaps okay if not I worry about that spot I worry about that whole over there well that's been why not we yeah what have we seen
• 7:45
[SPEAKER_00]: that's got to be a tough decision when they're sitting there in those meetings awesome jacks and that might be one of the toughest decisions they have to make yeah how many games can he state is he durable can he can we can we count on the guy to make it through almost
• 7:58
  [SPEAKER_00]: 100% of the season.
• 8:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you'd like to see him.
• 8:01
[SPEAKER_01]: You'd like to see him play 80% of the snaps of minimum, right?
• 8:05
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, get these like, how many?
• 8:07
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you, you know, Aaron Brewer.
• 8:08
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Aaron Brewer was ever out of the game.
• 8:10
  [SPEAKER_01]: He plays hurt.
• 8:11
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and I don't think after all, Aaron Brewer plays hurt, we seen him banged up and he stays in there wants to play Patrick Paul's one of the special guys on this team right now.
• 8:22
[SPEAKER_00]: But both there's four or five positions.
• 8:24
[SPEAKER_00]: You can go to on this team.
• 8:26
  [SPEAKER_00]: take the best player.
• 8:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think you can go wrong in first couple picks.
• 8:30
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 8:30
  [SPEAKER_01]: No doubt.
• 8:31
  [SPEAKER_01]: No doubt.
• 8:32
  [SPEAKER_01]: So, hey, we'll see, but I got the, you know, it's, it's, there's a different feeling.
• 8:37
[SPEAKER_01]: I think, I think when you walk around South Florida and, and people say, everybody's all, every, you know, everybody comes up, hey, what do you think about the coaches and this net?
• 8:46
[SPEAKER_01]: I just think there's a different, you know, it's, maybe it was stale.
• 8:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Man, you know, maybe you know, maybe stale with Chris, stale with Mike and and and and new blood.
• 8:55
[SPEAKER_01]: I think people feel it and you can kind of feel in the air.
• 8:57
[SPEAKER_00]: The biggest problem you have is you're asking your fans to be patient again, you know.
• 9:06
[SPEAKER_00]: And so I get a little bit of that people are a little frustrated with it, but listen, I said give these guys a chance.
• 9:11
[SPEAKER_00]: I think they know what they're doing, but they're going to need.
• 9:13
[SPEAKER_00]: They can't do it overnight.
• 9:15
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what, I'm just saying this guy damn national football league.
• 9:17
[SPEAKER_01]: you can be in the depths, you can be in the dull drums at the end of the year, but in a month time you go, hey, I think we're going to be pretty good.
• 9:26
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I think we got to do this.
• 9:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we get some off.
• 9:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, we get right back in here.
• 9:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, you get one or two free agents and a good draft pass.
• 9:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you know what, I was looking at this.
• 9:33
[SPEAKER_00]: If we can stay healthy.
• 9:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to have a chip.
• 9:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we can compete with these guys Jordan Brooks.
• 9:39
[SPEAKER_01]: We got dots in back there.
• 9:41
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we got these guys.
• 9:42
[SPEAKER_01]: We got a lot of good stuff.
• 9:44
  [SPEAKER_01]: So it's it's it's it's it's it's funny how hopes brings a turtle in the national football.
• 9:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no matter where you are.
• 9:51
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
• 9:52
[SPEAKER_01]: But that quarterback thing is we got to solidify everything.
• 9:56
[SPEAKER_00]: We have to figure that one out for sure.
• 9:58
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you know how you might need to figure that out.
• 10:00
[SPEAKER_01]: It's get Bobby from Villa Italia bakery to to send some of these coffee cakes and with a cup of coffee in that coffee cake.
• 10:08
  [SPEAKER_00]: Here's your man.
• 10:09
  [SPEAKER_00]: Coffee coffee.
• 10:09
[SPEAKER_00]: You got football day without.
• 10:11
[SPEAKER_01]: He sent me a bag of frozen swoon you'd hell and I don't know if you.
• 10:15
[SPEAKER_01]: And I put him in the oven every day and boy I tell you.
• 10:19
  [SPEAKER_01]: They're those things are.
• 10:21
[SPEAKER_01]: you know we we had that we had the the contest to win for the two in the the yeah the cookies for Valentine's Day my brother one my brother my brother brother and look I wasn't I wasn't you to set that I don't know was it wasn't set up both campers can't be trusted and so so he saw when when when when when when we give them the list of the people that won them and all the people were very happy about it he saw my brothers name now he sent them the the coffee case
• 10:46
[SPEAKER_00]: He's just like you and he worked them.
• 10:48
[SPEAKER_01]: He said, I don't know, he just, he did it, he did it, he did it, he did it on the up and up.
• 10:52
  [SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah.
• 10:54
[SPEAKER_01]: So from California to boy, that's good.
• 10:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Remember, fill it tallyabakree.com, uh, Bo Joe put that in the, in the code and you get 20% obviously, and they send it everywhere, send it all over the world.
• 11:05
[SPEAKER_01]: And when you get it, Joe, when you get it, you put, you open up that thing.
• 11:08
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like they just cook a good taste.
• 11:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Just come out of the oven.
• 11:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Coffee cake is the leader and that's right now.
• 11:13
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's good.
• 11:13
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so that's going to do it for this this version of out the pastor.
• 11:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Joe, we'll see you again the next week.
• 11:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, man, the league that never sleeps for other than what's next.
• 11:22
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's a league, you know, at this point, it's kind of the league of breaking news.
• 11:25
[SPEAKER_01]: On the day, on the day every day.
• 11:27
  [SPEAKER_00]: Little something break.
• 11:28
[SPEAKER_00]: He had it on the day on the yesterday day.
• 11:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Long as he's playing, don't break the leg because before the season starts.
• 11:33
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see you next time.
