- 0:09Speaker 1: who's joining me today? If you're guessing, it's Island. If
- 0:13Speaker 1: you're guessing it's Avery, you're guessing it's the boys. Guess
- 0:17Speaker 1: what wrong? Rong wrong? We have a special edition joining
- 0:22Speaker 1: me tonight. And stay out of my fridge? Is my wife,
- 0:25Speaker 1: my co host of the Your Town podcast, Meg?
- 0:29Speaker 2: What is hey?
- 0:32Speaker 1: Turns out we're super busy. When you get home the
- 0:35Speaker 1: night before the episode releases, you don't have one and
- 0:38Speaker 1: it's nine thirty pm. I say, hey, wife, how much
- 0:42Speaker 1: do you love me? When I go to a podcast?
- 0:44Speaker 1: I'll sweeten you up with a little drive through food.
- 0:48Speaker 1: And you got yourself a snack wrap. And let's be
- 0:50Speaker 1: honest you. I saw the excitement in your eyes when
- 0:53Speaker 1: you heard the snack wrap was back at the McDonald's.
- 0:56Speaker 2: You know what's going back?
- 0:57Speaker 3: As soon as they released the Chicken Tenders, Chicken Strips, Yes,
- 1:01Speaker 3: the brun a book, but but I was still waiting
- 1:05Speaker 3: for the Salad Shakers.
- 1:07Speaker 1: You think they'll make a return.
- 1:08Speaker 2: I want them to they were so good, so handy.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I can see that. I don't you think they'll
- 1:14Speaker 1: make a I mean everything comes back from the style
- 1:18Speaker 1: to eighty style, all that good stuff. How was the
- 1:20Speaker 1: snack wrap? Was it everything you helped for?
- 1:23Speaker 2: I thought it was good. Yeah, I did try one before.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Not so good.
- 1:28Speaker 2: They gave me the wrong one. I wanted this spicy
- 1:32Speaker 2: ranch one.
- 1:34Speaker 3: So they had the ranch, they had spicy, and then
- 1:37Speaker 3: they had a spicy ranch. Wanted the spicy ranch. They
- 1:39Speaker 3: just gave me extra spicy.
- 1:42Speaker 2: No ranch.
- 1:43Speaker 1: It was.
- 1:44Speaker 3: It was just like a lot of sauce and not good. No,
- 1:47Speaker 3: but this one was just the ranch, and it was
- 1:50Speaker 3: what I remembered.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Oh that's good. That's good. Kids seemed to of course,
- 1:56Speaker 1: the youngest seems about be the most expensive with that
- 1:58Speaker 1: solid six piece order. I crushes that. But she got
- 2:02Speaker 1: the Golden Road War the Golden Toy. All I had
- 2:07Speaker 1: to do was buy McDonald's for the first time in
- 2:09Speaker 1: probably a year, and boom, Golden toys galore. Yep, good stuff.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Life on the road has been pretty busy. We spent
- 2:17Speaker 1: four street days in Philadelphia and New York. No cream cheese.
- 2:21Speaker 1: It's not always sunny. It turns out a lot of softball.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Oldest kid Thursday on this show, we call her Sissy.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Then Avery had a tournament Friday, Saturday, Sunday and they
- 2:31Speaker 1: ended up with a the first banner in program history
- 2:36Speaker 1: with a silver medal. It was it was a long day,
- 2:41Speaker 1: championship day. We got there at like seven ish, left
- 2:43Speaker 1: about seven ish. But yeah, but you've been doing some
- 2:47Speaker 1: camping with the kids and the dogs. Yeah, the big
- 2:51Speaker 1: boy was not so good.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Huh, it's been a lot.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Yeah, we haven't seen each other in a couple of
- 2:57Speaker 1: days now, so date three days down. The name of
- 3:02Speaker 1: a band, right, did you miss me? Yeah, she said
- 3:07Speaker 1: it with some confidence. Yeah, no, it's pretty good. It's
- 3:12Speaker 1: pretty good. And unfortunately, when she walked into seeing me
- 3:16Speaker 1: for the first time in several days, I was putting
- 3:19Speaker 1: together a sauna and self admittingly, I put together the
- 3:23Speaker 1: sauna against my better judgment and decided that I was
- 3:26Speaker 1: gonna put it together outside. Turns out it didn't fit
- 3:32Speaker 1: coming through the door. And if anybody's wondering, it is
- 3:34Speaker 1: a Casui k as u e sauna. It's a portable sauna.
- 3:40Speaker 1: I'm excited for it. I've read so much into the
- 3:43Speaker 1: benefits of a sauna. I know you grew up in
- 3:45Speaker 1: a house with a sauna, right, and did you spend
- 3:48Speaker 1: a lot of time in the sauna.
- 3:50Speaker 3: I did, but it wasn't while I was growing up.
- 3:52Speaker 3: It was when, like the oldest was little, so I
- 3:57Speaker 3: was already moved out, So it was when I went over,
- 4:00Speaker 3: but used.
- 4:02Speaker 2: It every time I was there.
- 4:03Speaker 1: It's so good.
- 4:04Speaker 2: You find us pretty much everything.
- 4:06Speaker 1: She feels so good after a sauna session, sweating it out,
- 4:09Speaker 1: better sleep, better mental health. I'm excited for my kiss, Sue.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Is that how you take ka s u eat cassoue sauna?
- 4:17Speaker 1: Sure it's got the infrared lights. We're gonna get a
- 4:20Speaker 1: little red light therapy, a little theme sessh. So I
- 4:23Speaker 1: do have to give Meg all the props in the world.
- 4:25Speaker 1: So I try to. I try to put this sna together.
- 4:27Speaker 1: I get it all out, I get it all framed out,
- 4:29Speaker 1: don't put the cover on it in then go to
- 4:30Speaker 1: move it inside. It's way too big to fit in there.
- 4:33Speaker 1: So every once in a while the dad has a
- 4:35Speaker 1: little bit of a moment, so I start ripping and
- 4:37Speaker 1: tearing and chucking. Meg was able to the puzzle master
- 4:41Speaker 1: that she is. She takes it all, puts it all together,
- 4:45Speaker 1: and it's ready to go pretty much. Are we gonna
- 4:48Speaker 1: use it tonight? Meg hasn't slept in an actual bed
- 4:53Speaker 1: in several about a week, so I've actually slept and
- 4:57Speaker 1: actually slept, So yeah, we're gonna do that. But either way,
- 5:01Speaker 1: feel free to check those saunas out. It's the official
- 5:04Speaker 1: sauna of the Beard Laws Studio and I will report
- 5:06Speaker 1: back next week on how good it feels and how
- 5:09Speaker 1: much better And to be honest with you, I heard
- 5:11Speaker 1: that a good sauna is good for beard growing. We'll
- 5:15Speaker 1: have to see, right, I'm wondering how hot it actually gets.
- 5:19Speaker 1: I'm excited for it. I don't know about you, but yeah,
- 5:23Speaker 1: we're we're gonna be on the road again, so lot
- 5:27Speaker 1: of late night podcast and again this week and we're
- 5:30Speaker 1: the oldest old Sissy's playing in a softball tournament in
- 5:34Speaker 1: lovely Syracuse, So we are going back to Syracuse, probably
- 5:37Speaker 1: get ourselves some crumble cookie and who knows what else
- 5:41Speaker 1: we'll we'll figure it out, but it's going to be
- 5:42Speaker 1: an interesting weekend. And super excited that that she has
- 5:47Speaker 1: brave It's a brave moment for her to kind of
- 5:51Speaker 1: get over some fears or anxiety or whatever it might be,
- 5:53Speaker 1: and decide, Hey, I'm going to go play some softball
- 5:56Speaker 1: with these kids. It's going to be hopefully a fun weekend.
- 5:58Speaker 3: It's not the softball that she's nervous about. It's the
- 6:01Speaker 3: new people that's not knowing somebody. It's hard for most people.
- 6:08Speaker 1: And it's something that I don't overly know because it's
- 6:11Speaker 1: not hard for me. I'm a social butterfly. I was
- 6:13Speaker 1: gifted the gift of gab, and I can talk to anybody,
- 6:16Speaker 1: and I have talked to anybody. I've talked. Being next
- 6:19Speaker 1: to somebody in a urinal hoping next to somebody in
- 6:21Speaker 1: a stall, or hanging out in an elevator doesn't matter.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Like that's me. And it's hard for me to sometimes
- 6:26Speaker 1: understand not only the female dynamic in this house, because
- 6:29Speaker 1: I am filled with all sorts of women in this
- 6:32Speaker 1: house or young women I guess in this house. And
- 6:35Speaker 1: I didn't grow up with a sister, so the dynamic
- 6:36Speaker 1: is very hard. And I have to thank Meg for
- 6:39Speaker 1: being like, no, this is normal. When I just come
- 6:41Speaker 1: home and everybody's crying, that's something I'm trying to get
- 6:45Speaker 1: used to.
- 6:45Speaker 2: It's me.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Lots of tears and it's a different dynamic for a
- 6:51Speaker 1: dad that didn't grow up like this. But figuring it
- 6:52Speaker 1: out slowly but surely. But either way, I'm super proud
- 6:56Speaker 1: of the kids and everything. But I don't know. We
- 7:00Speaker 1: got a couple of different little things that I thought
- 7:03Speaker 1: it would be fun to talk about. Okay, let's go
- 7:07Speaker 1: into what about one of our pettiest fights and get
- 7:11Speaker 1: a little spicy gill o there. I couldn't think of one.
- 7:14Speaker 1: I was like, you know what, I think it'd be
- 7:15Speaker 1: funny to talk about maybe a little bit of a
- 7:17Speaker 1: petty fight, a little petty argument, you know, where we
- 7:20Speaker 1: each just kind of talk about something that seemed petty
- 7:24Speaker 1: and we defend our sides. Maybe we debate. Nothing popped
- 7:27Speaker 1: in my head. I don't know if there's anything that
- 7:29Speaker 1: did with you know. I know every once in a
- 7:33Speaker 1: while we get a little bit spassy about certain things,
- 7:35Speaker 1: but nothing really, no, not really. Maybe we're still fresh,
- 7:39Speaker 1: and I mean we're approaching six years together, two years married.
- 7:43Speaker 1: This is the year we have a petty fight. I
- 7:44Speaker 1: hope not. But there's just nothing like six or seven.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Oh no, I can't do math. I'm not the one
- 7:50Speaker 1: that's skipping an entire grade of math, which is wild
- 7:53Speaker 1: to me. We'll bring that up next week. Did you
- 7:56Speaker 1: just roll your eyes counting head interesting twenty nineteen?
- 8:00Speaker 2: Right, yeah, I think so.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Yeah, that's six, yeah, approaching six. But yeah, I mean
- 8:05Speaker 1: there's just I mean, there's a time in every relationship
- 8:08Speaker 1: where you just argue over something. Maybe you know, you
- 8:12Speaker 1: double dipped in the salsa, or you know, you change
- 8:15Speaker 1: the thermostat, or maybe you forgot to turn the lights
- 8:18Speaker 1: off or something like that. It's just petty. I mean
- 8:21Speaker 1: think that's more like what the kids do with each other.
- 8:24Speaker 2: The whole, like leaving the covered doors open.
- 8:27Speaker 1: I drives your bananas, it does. Speaking of bananas, we
- 8:30Speaker 1: don't have any in there for my smoothie in the morning,
- 8:33Speaker 1: and I just ate up my triple berries. So sorry
- 8:35Speaker 1: about it. I'm gonna be dipping into your smoothie stash.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Anybody doesn't know we're We're a big smoothie house. Now.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I've been crushing the smoothies. I feel good with them,
- 8:44Speaker 1: do you. It's like a treat in the morning that's healthy.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I like them.
- 8:49Speaker 4: I'm feeling good. Black ass shit. Oh, she got to
- 8:53Speaker 4: sneez upcauzoon dight RuSHA Russia. All right, so we don't
- 8:59Speaker 4: really have the petty fight. So how about this?
- 9:01Speaker 1: I thought this would be a little bit interesting. What
- 9:04Speaker 1: did you think back in the day that marriage would
- 9:08Speaker 1: be like verse what it actually is. You know what
- 9:12Speaker 1: I mean? Because me and you we got married later
- 9:14Speaker 1: in life. I mean, there's a lot of our friends, brothers, sisters,
- 9:18Speaker 1: whatever it might be, relatives that they all got married
- 9:21Speaker 1: pretty young. We and you, we we decided to know
- 9:24Speaker 1: what marriage wasn't for us in our early life. We
- 9:26Speaker 1: found love a little bit later and we got married
- 9:29Speaker 1: what two years ago, so late thirties, you know what
- 9:31Speaker 1: I mean? Like growing up as a girl, did you
- 9:34Speaker 1: have a dream in your head? Did you did you
- 9:36Speaker 1: have something a magical marriage in your brain? Like is
- 9:39Speaker 1: that something girls did? I'm gonna admit I didn't. I'm
- 9:43Speaker 1: a dude. I don't think that's normal for us. Like
- 9:45Speaker 1: I didn't have like this is the perfect wedding for me.
- 9:48Speaker 1: I didn't dream about that day.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Was it something talking about the wedding or like the relationship? Sure?
- 9:54Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 9:54Speaker 1: Both?
- 9:54Speaker 3: Well, I mean I assumed i'd have a big because
- 10:02Speaker 3: my family is huge I didn't want anything too fancy.
- 10:06Speaker 3: I was singing, like, he's not that quite like the
- 10:08Speaker 3: old aunts making uh you know, hot look food, make
- 10:13Speaker 3: good wedding food.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I agree, I agree, I forbody it doesn't know. We
- 10:16Speaker 1: did a lope. We went to Vegas. We went to
- 10:18Speaker 1: the Little Neon Chapel in Vegas, and we just kind
- 10:22Speaker 1: of did our thing. We both have huge families. I mean,
- 10:26Speaker 1: for us to have a wedding with our just immediate
- 10:30Speaker 1: family like first cousins, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, all the
- 10:33Speaker 1: I mean, we were talking hundreds of people trying to
- 10:37Speaker 1: find a venue, and let's be honest, we don't have
- 10:40Speaker 1: a lot of money with three kids. I mean, we're
- 10:41Speaker 1: not over here balling. We're not over here just eating
- 10:43Speaker 1: ramen every night at least this week, because well, let's
- 10:46Speaker 1: be honest, we're eating out of hotel rooms and stuff
- 10:49Speaker 1: like that. But like you know, and I think it's
- 10:52Speaker 1: old school and I'm saying this and I hope the
- 10:54Speaker 1: kids listen. Where the father pays for the weddings, Like
- 10:57Speaker 1: there's no chance I'm gonna be able to afford three
- 10:59Speaker 1: weddings for three girls. And we both kind of felt
- 11:02Speaker 1: like we didn't want to put the burden on our parents.
- 11:04Speaker 1: We went to Vegas, and I'm pretty sure your dad
- 11:07Speaker 1: and my real sad about that.
- 11:09Speaker 3: Oh they wanted us to do it by a pool
- 11:11Speaker 3: and floorida right next to the pool in ours, which.
- 11:15Speaker 1: I don't know if that's a knock on me or no,
- 11:18Speaker 1: just kidding, no, obviously, But I mean, how how many
- 11:22Speaker 1: years can you really go by without having a wedding
- 11:24Speaker 1: party before it's too weird and too awkward and we
- 11:26Speaker 1: could renew our.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Vowels That's what I said. I said maybe three years, yeah,
- 11:32Speaker 2: picking up three a renewal, Yeah, I would say like
- 11:35Speaker 2: between three and five.
- 11:37Speaker 1: All right, summer summer at twenty twenty six, we'll surprise everybody.
- 11:42Speaker 1: We'll have a little Does that seem good?
- 11:46Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 11:47Speaker 1: What about it? Let's do it? So, I guess. So
- 11:50Speaker 1: going back to that, I mean, marriage can't be what
- 11:53Speaker 1: we have going on, exactly what you dreamed of as
- 11:56Speaker 1: a child, Like I can't wait to move an hour
- 11:58Speaker 1: away from my house and live in this craziness is
- 12:02Speaker 1: pretty close. I mean, there's there's gotta be reality and
- 12:06Speaker 1: then just like dream expectations, I mean, you're gonna have
- 12:10Speaker 1: the big fancy wedding, the big dress, tons of people.
- 12:13Speaker 1: You know, maybe you dream that you're gonna you know,
- 12:15Speaker 1: land a rich man, right, that's Jack did not Harry.
- 12:20Speaker 2: I wanted to wear my mother's dress, but.
- 12:24Speaker 3: You know, after having kids and yeah, that didn't quite
- 12:30Speaker 3: fit the way it should have when I was like,
- 12:34Speaker 3: when I tried it on the.
- 12:35Speaker 1: First time, you know, things change, they definitely do.
- 12:40Speaker 2: And then I ended up in a short dress in
- 12:43Speaker 2: a hot environment.
- 12:44Speaker 1: But let me ask, I mean, the whole story of
- 12:47Speaker 1: getting the dress something that that we'll remember for the
- 12:51Speaker 1: rest of our life. Just a nightmare, and we're I mean,
- 12:55Speaker 1: I don't think we need to get into it at
- 12:56Speaker 1: this point. Maybe it'll be a special Unless you want
- 12:58Speaker 1: to get into it, that's okay. But it's a moment
- 13:01Speaker 1: in our lives that we'll never forget. And I kind
- 13:04Speaker 1: of appreciate it. It wasn't fun at the time, pretty chaotic,
- 13:08Speaker 1: pretty wild, but it's something that we'll definitely remember. Pretty sketchy, Yeah, sketchy,
- 13:15Speaker 1: shout out to sketchy. All right, So let me ask
- 13:17Speaker 1: you this. If we had met in high school, Meg,
- 13:21Speaker 1: would you have liked me?
- 13:22Speaker 2: This is a loaded question.
- 13:24Speaker 1: It is a very loaded question. You know, I don't know,
- 13:27Speaker 1: tell me about it.
- 13:28Speaker 3: I think in the right circumstances, yes, but I didn't
- 13:32Speaker 3: really Now that I know what you looked like in
- 13:35Speaker 3: high school, I remembered you from high school, but not
- 13:39Speaker 3: in the best circumstances understandable.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Yeah, do you want to explain yourself a little bit
- 13:44Speaker 1: or are you just going to leave it at that?
- 13:46Speaker 3: Well, well, you you and your sweat band. Yeah, I've
- 13:51Speaker 3: seen him in the sports cases and I was like, oh.
- 13:54Speaker 1: That was you. And what she's referring to. She was
- 13:58Speaker 1: a cheerleader and a little bit of a rival school
- 14:00Speaker 1: in some small town. I happened to be the basketball
- 14:03Speaker 1: player that rocked a sweat band, high socks, maybe an
- 14:07Speaker 1: arm band. He is a punk, she says. I was
- 14:09Speaker 1: a little bit of a punk. I don't know, poor,
- 14:13Speaker 1: just because of one little scenario that you might remember.
- 14:16Speaker 1: And your entire cheerleading team got thrown out of a game,
- 14:19Speaker 1: and I got the blame for it. I didn't do
- 14:22Speaker 1: anything wrong Mountain girls, Yes, but come to find out,
- 14:25Speaker 1: there was somebody that she knew that I was really
- 14:28Speaker 1: close with, you know, from that school. So you're trying
- 14:30Speaker 1: to tell me, so I guarantee you if you would
- 14:33Speaker 1: have came with old what is he a reverend Pasture
- 14:37Speaker 1: the man of God? Oh Josh, if you would have
- 14:41Speaker 1: made a trip to old Lisbon and hung out with me,
- 14:45Speaker 1: you would have fell for me. Probably life would have
- 14:48Speaker 1: been a lot different.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it would have been a lot different.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Yeah, but it didn't.
- 14:54Speaker 2: We probably wouldn't be in New York.
- 14:56Speaker 1: There is a one thousand chance we would not be
- 14:59Speaker 1: in this state.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:00Speaker 1: But and it's sad to think about because, like, if
- 15:02Speaker 1: that would have happened, the three kids we have, we
- 15:05Speaker 1: wouldn't have any of them. It's true, you'd probably have
- 15:08Speaker 1: much different, smarter, classy or more expensive punk style kids.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Maybe a boy though, that would have been kind of cool.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Just one boy. That's all we needed either way. So yeah,
- 15:18Speaker 1: you would have definitely liked me. And hmm, what do you?
- 15:22Speaker 1: I was I was going to ask you, do you
- 15:23Speaker 1: have any like irrational fears that you've never told me
- 15:26Speaker 1: that I can know and hold it against you, And
- 15:29Speaker 1: you don't really.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Know irrational fears? Yeah, dark deep water.
- 15:34Speaker 1: That's not irrational, that is reasonable.
- 15:36Speaker 2: But I feel like my reason is irrational.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Tell me more.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Well, they had the high rocks where I lived in
- 15:42Speaker 3: the lake, and my friends always told me there were
- 15:44Speaker 3: sixty foot catfish that lived under the in the caves
- 15:47Speaker 3: under the high rocks, and if you jump too deep
- 15:52Speaker 3: they eat your feet, and so I was terrified to
- 15:56Speaker 3: go and they talked me into jumping off the rocks
- 16:00Speaker 3: one time. I was like, I'll do it once and
- 16:02Speaker 3: then leave me alone. I don't ever want to go
- 16:04Speaker 3: down too deep in this water because you can't see anything.
- 16:07Speaker 3: And I decided to do it with a life jacket on.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Yikes.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, physics happened and I hit the water
- 16:17Speaker 3: in the life jacket, came up and pretty much broke
- 16:20Speaker 3: my nose.
- 16:20Speaker 2: No catfish cut my feet.
- 16:23Speaker 1: You didn't think to just jump in.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Just bled a lot? No, No, I did not. I
- 16:31Speaker 2: wanted to be like a bobber.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Did you ever get into rope swings as a kid.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Yeah, somewhat.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Did you like them? I hate?
- 16:37Speaker 2: No, I didn't like them at all.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Because I was growing up, I was always the chunky kid,
- 16:42Speaker 1: didn't have the upper body strength like all my farming buddies.
- 16:45Speaker 1: So I was the one that like barely made into
- 16:47Speaker 1: the water.
- 16:47Speaker 2: And just by the time you get to like the
- 16:49Speaker 2: edge of the water. Your toes are already dangled, and
- 16:51Speaker 2: then you just like splat.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Yeah, stupid rope swings. North people are lessening to be
- 16:57Speaker 1: like rope swings. But all right, well, you know what, Meg,
- 17:03Speaker 1: on this segment, when we have the kids, we decide
- 17:06Speaker 1: to be fridge detectives. I think it's time for you
- 17:09Speaker 1: to introduce. So what we do is we look at
- 17:11Speaker 1: a fridge, we talk about it, and we try to
- 17:13Speaker 1: make a guess on who owns this fridge. Typically, Islah
- 17:18Speaker 1: sings us a little bit of a fridge detective introduction
- 17:22Speaker 1: and outro. Is this something that you want to you
- 17:24Speaker 1: want to take on? Don't you just want to get
- 17:25Speaker 1: into it? Freege detective?
- 17:28Speaker 3: Who who is it?
- 17:30Speaker 2: Fredge detective?
- 17:32Speaker 1: Who's it gonna blunttive? I like that way better than
- 17:37Speaker 1: we're gonna pin you down and nail you're or something
- 17:40Speaker 1: beat you or whatever came out of there and unbelievable.
- 17:44Speaker 1: But all right, let's go ahead. We're gonna share the
- 17:47Speaker 1: screen all right here and here is is a fridge
- 17:51Speaker 1: of the day. And it's a little bit harder to
- 17:52Speaker 1: see for whatever reason, on my screen on the Google chromes,
- 17:56Speaker 1: I'm not seeing a magnifying glass. Usually we can click
- 17:58Speaker 1: into it. So the first I want to ask, h Meg,
- 18:00Speaker 1: what is the first thing when you're looking at this
- 18:02Speaker 1: fridge that pops into your Like what catches your eye
- 18:06Speaker 1: right out the gate?
- 18:09Speaker 2: The Great Value brand Della Meat.
- 18:12Speaker 1: That's the first thing that pops in your mind?
- 18:14Speaker 2: Isn't that what it is in the middle?
- 18:15Speaker 1: Yeah, it definitely looks like like a like a honey hen.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Great Value brand. That's what I see first see.
- 18:23Speaker 1: I saw this purple bag and my brain was like,
- 18:25Speaker 1: what do we got going on in here? And then
- 18:27Speaker 1: it got even crazier behind it with the like the
- 18:29Speaker 1: reflective thing. It's a teacher, You're going right for it.
- 18:33Speaker 1: What do you think is in the bag? What you've
- 18:36Speaker 1: gotten that bed lunch stuff for the next day. Oh,
- 18:39Speaker 1: they're propping both bags, so like you're saying teacher and kid.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yep, I am saying teacher and kid.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Okay, interesting, we don't need to make the final guesses.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Let's detect a little bit harder. Some apple jump in. No,
- 18:52Speaker 1: it's okay, you're good.
- 18:53Speaker 2: You're good.
- 18:53Speaker 1: It's your first time you're here. We got some apple juice,
- 18:55Speaker 1: almond milk. Don't like that, but we still got some
- 18:57Speaker 1: whole milk. What do you think got back here? You
- 19:00Speaker 1: think more apple juice? Or this looks like a tea.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Is this some tea? Maybe a jug of tea?
- 19:05Speaker 2: Maybe?
- 19:07Speaker 1: Obviously there we got a little leftover. It's typical for
- 19:09Speaker 1: a family. Some English muffins. All right, all right? What's this?
- 19:14Speaker 1: It's it looks like the meat almost from there, like
- 19:18Speaker 1: they cut a steak but only cook part of it
- 19:20Speaker 1: and then put it in a freezer bag in the fridge.
- 19:22Speaker 1: I don't know what this is. I don't like it.
- 19:23Speaker 2: I can see that.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I'm having a hard time seeing as well, because we're
- 19:26Speaker 1: a little bit.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Old and liker I am. It looks like chicken farm.
- 19:31Speaker 1: It's so from Oh maybe it's a plate. I was
- 19:33Speaker 1: thinking it was styrofoam, like they cut the meat, you
- 19:36Speaker 1: know what I mean. And I was like, hey, I'm
- 19:37Speaker 1: only going to cook half a steak, but you're maybe
- 19:40Speaker 1: you're more right with leftover, maybe some pizza on a plate.
- 19:43Speaker 1: I'm not out of sent sure on that. But then
- 19:45Speaker 1: you get into the crisper drawers. What's in our crisper? Geors?
- 19:48Speaker 1: Mag it's okay? Liquid? What kind of liquid?
- 19:53Speaker 2: And cans.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Yeah, it's kind of like we don't exactly have a
- 19:56Speaker 1: beer fridge. But although we did go beer fridge summer.
- 19:59Speaker 1: We threw a beer fridge next to now where the
- 20:01Speaker 1: sauna is. That's pretty fitting and so we did that,
- 20:05Speaker 1: but we still had a little bit that didn't fit
- 20:07Speaker 1: in there. So our crispers are actually some adult beverages, which, hey, second,
- 20:12Speaker 1: that's what you do when you sacrifice when you got kids,
- 20:13Speaker 1: sometimes you throw some booze in a bottom.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Yeah, they got a whole shelf.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Mm hmm. So let's see what we got in here.
- 20:19Speaker 1: And these look like slim gems, am I right?
- 20:21Speaker 2: I was gonna say, like those.
- 20:24Speaker 1: The beef sticks, okay, yep. And this looks like maybe
- 20:29Speaker 1: some lettuce and some apple sauce. And what are these
- 20:32Speaker 1: like some gogurt packets or something A lot of like
- 20:35Speaker 1: kid stuff, which makes more sense, like hey, kid, just
- 20:37Speaker 1: go in there and grab it, all right, So let's
- 20:39Speaker 1: slide over here. We're gonna see what's on the doors.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Very organized. This is way more organized than that, which
- 20:46Speaker 1: is going to be a clue of some stuff. We
- 20:48Speaker 1: got some pickles, and man, these a lot of condiments.
- 20:50Speaker 1: And the condiments here I mean, what, what typically do
- 20:53Speaker 1: you put into the fold up thing? Like, what's the
- 20:55Speaker 1: purpose of the fridge when you do the fold up things? Eggs? Butter?
- 20:58Speaker 2: But what is of butter?
- 21:00Speaker 1: But like what did the fridge salespeople say, Hey, this
- 21:03Speaker 1: is your is it your butter thing? Is it your
- 21:05Speaker 1: egg thing? Like? What is the purpose?
- 21:07Speaker 2: I would say, eggs are bread?
- 21:08Speaker 1: Okay, I'm asking. I don't know. I've always had one
- 21:11Speaker 1: in a fridge and I never knew the exact purpose.
- 21:14Speaker 1: But a lot of the newer fridges they don't have these.
- 21:16Speaker 2: That one looks big though, like it could be a
- 21:19Speaker 2: loaf of bread size, because.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Yeah, it's got some minced garlics, some maybe some paste,
- 21:24Speaker 1: some lemon juice, and maybe a pudding or something.
- 21:27Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 21:27Speaker 1: But then they got the condiments lined up. Then they
- 21:29Speaker 1: got the yogurts and more condiments. Pickles love it. Then
- 21:32Speaker 1: at the bottom you got some water protein. That's awesome.
- 21:38Speaker 1: That's my favorite thing in this fridge right now, maybe
- 21:41Speaker 1: some energy drink, some juice. We're gonna slide over here.
- 21:43Speaker 1: It's gonna show the other Oh, it's gonna show the freezer.
- 21:46Speaker 2: I like this.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Some bonus content we got some meat balls. We got
- 21:49Speaker 1: some pizza rolls, We got some pancakes, some eggoes, some
- 21:53Speaker 1: chicken that looks like it's been in there unwrapped for
- 21:55Speaker 1: a long time. That's what we do. Colliflower margeritea pizza.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Don't love it, but there's probably a reason. Maybe some
- 22:02Speaker 1: frozen veggies. We think the orange bag is sausage, chicken nuggets,
- 22:07Speaker 1: chicken nuggies. Then maybe that, Yeah, I'm going chicken eeveles.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Chicken nuggets is practical little ice maker, which we don't have.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Then we got a fourth slide. Oh the other door there,
- 22:18Speaker 1: we got a double ice cream vanilla chocolatte. I don't
- 22:22Speaker 1: know what that is. Some French fries, some texas to
- 22:28Speaker 1: Oh what's this like? Some rolls, some biscuits or something.
- 22:31Speaker 1: What do you think is in the blue bag? More fries,
- 22:34Speaker 1: more chicken nuggies. Maybe all right, so pretty solid, little fridge.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Let's go ahead, Meg, if you're ready, let's make your guests.
- 22:43Speaker 3: I'm still saying a teacher okay with a child, Okay,
- 22:47Speaker 3: that's going to school with.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Them, single mom, married mom, you know what I mean?
- 22:54Speaker 1: What do you think of one kid, two kids, multiple kids,
- 22:56Speaker 1: three kids, four kids.
- 22:57Speaker 2: I think two kids.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Two kids would gives you the two kid vibe.
- 23:01Speaker 2: The little packets in the bottom drawer.
- 23:05Speaker 1: You're thinking like both school school one younger, the one
- 23:09Speaker 1: not quite in school one a little bit. What grade
- 23:11Speaker 1: do you think the one kid's in, like third or below?
- 23:14Speaker 2: What's on the lunch box?
- 23:16Speaker 1: I just see like a reflection. I don't I don't
- 23:19Speaker 1: see like a pattern. It just looks like a silver
- 23:20Speaker 1: shiny looks.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Like a Mickey mouse or something from here.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Yeah, it almost looks like if you were watching ghost
- 23:25Speaker 1: Hunters and they were using the thermal camera. I think
- 23:28Speaker 1: it's a reflection.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Probably second or third grade.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Second or third grade. Married couple you think are single moth.
- 23:36Speaker 2: I'm gonna say single mom.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Gives you the single mom vibes.
- 23:40Speaker 2: It's very tidy.
- 23:43Speaker 1: No dude in there, just you know, okay, all right,
- 23:48Speaker 1: Well I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go. Married couple. Is
- 23:52Speaker 1: it a beef sticks? That's a dude thing. I think
- 23:54Speaker 1: he's like, you know what, I get one drawer. I
- 23:56Speaker 1: think he's got some beef sticks in there. He's he's
- 23:59Speaker 1: kind of trying to figure he's got a little salad.
- 24:01Speaker 1: There's some other things in here that doesn't look overly healthy,
- 24:04Speaker 1: and then you got the whole milk. So I'm gonna say, hey,
- 24:06Speaker 1: at least he's gonna have some cereal with some whole milk.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I know you're probably thinking young kid, whole milk, but
- 24:11Speaker 1: I'm guessing this. I would don't want I hate to
- 24:14Speaker 1: agree with it, but I'm thinking teacher vibes as well,
- 24:16Speaker 1: and I think she's like, well, we're gonna get with
- 24:17Speaker 1: the elm and milk and these one kid and then
- 24:20Speaker 1: the second kid there's just like the hell with it.
- 24:21Speaker 1: It's gonna be like dad, you know what I mean.
- 24:23Speaker 1: They have like a soft mo yeah, soft mob. She's
- 24:26Speaker 1: a little bit maybe even allergies. But I think she's
- 24:29Speaker 1: on the health kick or she just thinks for coffee,
- 24:32Speaker 1: you think, so a whole thing like that. I think
- 24:34Speaker 1: they're force feeding the kids this crap. The almond juice,
- 24:37Speaker 1: the nut juice.
- 24:39Speaker 2: No, because it's the apple juices, I understand, but I
- 24:41Speaker 2: don't think.
- 24:42Speaker 3: I think it's for coffee because the new trend is
- 24:45Speaker 3: to like use the cold group. A little bit of
- 24:48Speaker 3: cold grew with like quite a bit of the almond
- 24:51Speaker 3: milk or oat milk or whatever.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Can we call it nut juice? That's what it is. Sure,
- 24:55Speaker 1: sure it's not milk. It doesn't come from any animal.
- 24:58Speaker 1: But then you got the English muffins, I'm thinking, and
- 25:00Speaker 1: the dad's gonna make himself a little you know, egg
- 25:02Speaker 1: McMuffin homemade style in there, got the deli meat. That's
- 25:05Speaker 1: what dad gets underneath there. It looks maybe like some
- 25:08Speaker 1: of those microwavable bacons. This is one hundred percent kid drawer.
- 25:11Speaker 1: I agree with you. I think there's multiple kids. I
- 25:13Speaker 1: think I'm gonna two sticks out in my brain and
- 25:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna say, yeah, I'm gonna agree with him. I'm
- 25:19Speaker 1: gonna go teach your vibe. And the dad, I'm just
- 25:22Speaker 1: gonna say, he's, uh man, what's the dad too? That's
- 25:26Speaker 1: way too organized though, That's that's what kind of throws
- 25:28Speaker 1: me off. But she's sneaking at you who. That's Dad's.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Dad's got the you who. He's like living in there.
- 25:34Speaker 1: He's he's got this little hot sauce here. He put
- 25:37Speaker 1: the upside down barbecue sauce, some sweet baby rays. The
- 25:40Speaker 1: man is that's all dad. That's a dad vibe. This
- 25:42Speaker 1: is mos section. That's a dad section. Look at that right.
- 25:47Speaker 1: She's like, you get one spot on his fridge. So
- 25:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna say he's an accountant. He just kind of
- 25:52Speaker 1: he sits back and he's like, all right, honey, you're
- 25:54Speaker 1: right a little more patience because I feel like accountants
- 25:56Speaker 1: have patients. Okay, so two kids married up patients. That's
- 26:00Speaker 1: dad right there. That pizza things that'll you know, jelly meatballs.
- 26:06Speaker 1: These are for the kids.
- 26:07Speaker 2: That's tired mom.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Colliflower. That's a mothing, come on pizza. And he's like,
- 26:14Speaker 1: the hell with that. I'm having pizza rolls, compromise an
- 26:17Speaker 1: ice cream. Dad's like, give me the chocolate, some Texas toasts.
- 26:21Speaker 1: That's a dad thing. Looking. It's not even folded over
- 26:23Speaker 1: when they shut the bridge, it's sticking out. Dad's like,
- 26:25Speaker 1: I'm exhausted as well. Younger kid, other kid boom detecting
- 26:31Speaker 1: that fridge. I think that was pretty good. Somebody posted
- 26:35Speaker 1: this a little bit ago, and they put their guest
- 26:39Speaker 1: was let's see here, single child, household and an adult
- 26:42Speaker 1: takes lunch to work. Younger child probably six or seven,
- 26:45Speaker 1: adult maybe in their thirties, either likes or hates you
- 26:48Speaker 1: who and has let that thing and sit there for
- 26:50Speaker 1: way too long, likes making at home McDonald's breakfast sandwiches. Oh,
- 26:54Speaker 1: I had that call there, McMuffin sandwiches in general. Ever,
- 26:57Speaker 1: let's see who posted this. This was ANONYMO something four
- 27:00Speaker 1: four four. They did not respond to this th red,
- 27:04Speaker 1: so we don't exactly know who owns this fridge yet.
- 27:06Speaker 1: It was the first one on the Fridge Detective, so
- 27:09Speaker 1: we'll have to check back and if you guys want,
- 27:11Speaker 1: make sure you go check it out again. It says
- 27:13Speaker 1: anonymous anonymous something four four four. It was an hour
- 27:18Speaker 1: ago at the time of the recording, So we'll do
- 27:21Speaker 1: an update potentially, or maybe we won't, but either way,
- 27:25Speaker 1: getting late, we gotta go put some kids to bed,
- 27:29Speaker 1: maybe have a little outer pop. We've got some juice
- 27:32Speaker 1: outer pops. But I wanted to finish this with a
- 27:36Speaker 1: little final segment. All right, we're gonna do a twist
- 27:39Speaker 1: on affirmation. So each person, me and you, Meg, We're
- 27:42Speaker 1: gonna start a sentence with I love you, but followed
- 27:47Speaker 1: by a light hearted roast. You know, it could be
- 27:50Speaker 1: something like, I love you, but if I find one
- 27:53Speaker 1: more clump of hair in the shower, then I'm hitting
- 27:57Speaker 1: up EACHR and filing a complaint?
- 28:00Speaker 2: Is that yours?
- 28:01Speaker 1: Kind of? That's pretty good, right, I mean I could
- 28:03Speaker 1: try to do better. It's your hair, Okay, what are
- 28:08Speaker 1: you gonna do? Then? I love you, but I thought
- 28:11Speaker 1: you were going I just did one. Okay, I'll do that.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Not real was will? It came out in my mouth.
- 28:17Speaker 1: It's not my hair though, Oh okay, Well if I
- 28:20Speaker 1: find one more years.
- 28:21Speaker 3: Feel like you were pretending to be me when you
- 28:23Speaker 3: said that kind was yeah, I know, that's why I
- 28:26Speaker 3: was not counting it.
- 28:27Speaker 1: I love you, but if you bring one more animal
- 28:33Speaker 1: into this house, I am calling the Animal Control Department
- 28:38Speaker 1: and saying, hey, does the SPCA have any opening, because
- 28:44Speaker 1: apparently we have a set of potentially pregnant salamanders in
- 28:48Speaker 1: this house on top of fore cats, two dogs, and
- 28:50Speaker 1: a partridge and an apple tree.
- 28:53Speaker 2: You do not have a partridge.
- 28:55Speaker 1: It's out in that apple tree.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Doesn't count as a pet. It's outside.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Okay. I didn't bring the salamanders, so the youngest Eyelad
- 29:05Speaker 1: just happened to drive herself home with them.
- 29:07Speaker 2: She dropped them. Whether I didn't bring them, it wasn't me.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Wasn't me. I love you, but what you got for me? Remember,
- 29:16Speaker 1: keep it light hearted, roasting, don't hurt me, hit me
- 29:19Speaker 1: with it.
- 29:21Speaker 3: I love you, but oh, sometimes you don't see the
- 29:27Speaker 3: end picture when you start something.
- 29:30Speaker 1: I rarely do. Inas yes, because I play checkers in
- 29:35Speaker 1: that chess. You're gonna leave it at that. Is there
- 29:39Speaker 1: something exist? Is there something recently that I didn't see
- 29:42Speaker 1: the big picture on?
- 29:43Speaker 5: Well?
- 29:43Speaker 2: I mean, what's the word you use? You get spazzy?
- 29:49Speaker 1: Yes? Good, that's good. All right, we'll end it on that.
- 29:54Speaker 1: It's all. I appreciate you. How was the vibes of
- 29:56Speaker 1: stay out of my fridge? I like it cool? Well,
- 30:00Speaker 1: thank you for filling in. I know it's past the
- 30:02Speaker 1: kids' bedtime, so I love you, but I gotta do
- 30:06Speaker 1: some editing and artwork and all that fun stuff to
- 30:09Speaker 1: post this. So that's all we got. And again I
- 30:11Speaker 1: do apologize for the ac noise in the background. We
- 30:15Speaker 1: have a very small studio. Was ninety three in the
- 30:17Speaker 1: studio because we walked in the door ate some quick
- 30:20Speaker 1: food jumped in the studio. So I'm sorry that you
- 30:22Speaker 1: guys do have to listen to that, but it is
