- 1:05Speaker 2: Whists stuck in fun Ball and they were a whist
- 1:09Speaker 2: So yeah, it's too bad, But what did you expect.
- 1:12Speaker 1: It's a podcast called twenty five Whist souls wine, Oh
- 1:18Speaker 1: blow it up right? We do have RG three coming up?
- 1:22Speaker 1: Or is that called a mister G three?
- 1:24Speaker 3: That was funny.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Well, you never know when you don't know somebody and
- 1:28Speaker 1: we actually share an agent, I don't know if he
- 1:30Speaker 1: knew that. And I never want to be the guy
- 1:31Speaker 1: that's like we have the same agent, because.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Legit like to share an agent, well, to have an
- 1:37Speaker 3: agent one is.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I didn't say that to get this reaction. For the record,
- 1:41Speaker 1: my point was you never know if like somebody you know,
- 1:45Speaker 1: because what if like he's like, I'm like, hey, we
- 1:48Speaker 1: have the same agent and he hates him. Oh It's
- 1:51Speaker 1: like if you're like, oh, we have a mutual friend
- 1:53Speaker 1: Jim and it's like I hate Jim, I'm like, oh
- 1:55Speaker 1: that's awkward because yeah, like Jim and I he Jim
- 1:58Speaker 1: smashed up my window, impete in the and we don't talk,
- 2:02Speaker 1: so I didn't want to be like, we got the
- 2:03Speaker 1: same age and RG three, mister G three, but we do.
- 2:06Speaker 1: That's pretty cool, And that was it, so by it
- 2:10Speaker 1: felt awkward to bring up. He was nice, right, he
- 2:13Speaker 1: was warm, way warmer.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Is so nice.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I had no expectation of that. He wouldn't be nice,
- 2:19Speaker 1: but sometimes people are just so pleasant to talk to
- 2:21Speaker 1: while also being really good at their job. And that's
- 2:24Speaker 1: how I felt with him. But he's coming up.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Is it cool when people know your name? I mean,
- 2:27Speaker 3: I know he sees probably on the list like, oh,
- 2:29Speaker 3: I'm talking to Bobby Bones, got it. But when they
- 2:32Speaker 3: call you Bobby, isn't that cool? Like that they call
- 2:35Speaker 3: you by your first name and automatically feels like he
- 2:38Speaker 3: knows you.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Well. That's why we're saying he's warm because he did
- 2:41Speaker 1: the little things. He had no idea who I was.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I'm virtually certain, but I felt like he did. I
- 2:46Speaker 1: never expect anybody to know who I am, nor do
- 2:49Speaker 1: I think they will. We're in what's called like pocket fame.
- 2:54Speaker 1: We're in a little pocket. Everybody's kind of famous at
- 2:57Speaker 1: something like if you're just trying, you're kind of famous
- 3:00Speaker 1: at something I never suspect anybody knows anything about me,
- 3:04Speaker 1: So I do not think he knew who I was
- 3:05Speaker 1: before he went on. And if he did, that's awesome,
- 3:07Speaker 1: But I didn't think about that. I just thought he
- 3:10Speaker 1: was good at what he did and he felt warm.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Because there are little tricks that even if you don't
- 3:15Speaker 1: know somebody, hey, you just say somebody's name, they will
- 3:17Speaker 1: like you more, just generally in life, Like if I
- 3:20Speaker 1: just meet Kevin and we're like, hey, we're gonna work together. Hey,
- 3:23Speaker 1: let's go to lunch, talk about stuff, and I'm like, yeah, Kevin, Kevin, Kevin,
- 3:26Speaker 1: not weird like that, But if you say the name,
- 3:28Speaker 1: it feels like an investment, like they know who you are.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Even if it's subconsciously, you feel like, oh, I like
- 3:34Speaker 1: this person more. They're addressing me specifically.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Yeah, Because most people will just say, and I do
- 3:38Speaker 4: it all the time, what's up, man, man, or nothing
- 3:40Speaker 4: at all, and you don't lose anything by it. But
- 3:43Speaker 4: there is gain in things like saying someone's name, eye contact, smiling. Now,
- 3:50Speaker 4: if you do them all a little too much at
- 3:52Speaker 4: one time, it's a little.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Weird, it's creepy Kevin, But all of those the greatest politicians, actors,
- 4:03Speaker 1: the greatest communicators are those that do those little micro
- 4:07Speaker 1: communications the best. And I don't know if you knew
- 4:10Speaker 1: I was or not. I don't expect him to, but
- 4:12Speaker 1: he was great at that and that could have been
- 4:14Speaker 1: why he was so warm. Anyway, we're here, got a
- 4:16Speaker 1: lot of games this weekend. The really cool one is
- 4:19Speaker 1: the Buffalo and Baltimore game. Yeah, like that's there are
- 4:24Speaker 1: a couple of games that I'm really excited about. There's
- 4:25Speaker 1: one I give no craps about it all, but the
- 4:28Speaker 1: Baltimore Buffalo. One of those quarterbacks is going to be
- 4:31Speaker 1: sad and is going to continue their legacy of the
- 4:34Speaker 1: quarterback that can't do it in the playoffs. And both
- 4:38Speaker 1: of them deserve at some point to win a super
- 4:41Speaker 1: Bowl because they're are they the top three court mahomes
- 4:47Speaker 1: And then those two Oh yeah right, I mean, Burrow,
- 4:49Speaker 1: you got to put in in the conversation, but I
- 4:52Speaker 1: mean that they're two and three. However, you want to
- 4:54Speaker 1: switch them, right, yeah?
- 4:55Speaker 2: Yeah, So.
- 4:57Speaker 1: It's like Phil Mickelson to Tiger Woods, though weird time
- 5:02Speaker 1: to exist. If you Phil Michelson any other decade, he
- 5:04Speaker 1: would dominated you win multiple majors. These guys any other time,
- 5:09Speaker 1: they probably win multiple Super Bowls, and they still might.
- 5:13Speaker 1: But we're in a golden age of the quarterback.
- 5:15Speaker 3: But even if they would have just gone to another
- 5:17Speaker 3: the conference, like if one of those could be in
- 5:19Speaker 3: the NFC, they have a really good chance at winning
- 5:21Speaker 3: the Super Bowl.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Probably. There's a lot of what the environment is, who
- 5:26Speaker 1: the coach is, what scheme is, et cetera. But we're
- 5:29Speaker 1: we're in the golden age of the quarterback, and a
- 5:31Speaker 1: lot of times we don't know we are while we're
- 5:33Speaker 1: in it. We only know we are when we're out
- 5:35Speaker 1: of it. Not even just this specifically, but different eras. Yeah,
- 5:39Speaker 1: we got to appreciate now like we're in it. But
- 5:42Speaker 1: the league rules have also made that able to be done,
- 5:45Speaker 1: meaning you obviously can't hit the quarterback well any harder
- 5:51Speaker 1: than they deserve. You can't you know, hit them low,
- 5:54Speaker 1: you can't hit them high. East, canam West, can North.
- 5:59Speaker 1: But that protects their ability to do what we celebrate.
- 6:04Speaker 1: And so therefore this era is kind of presented to
- 6:06Speaker 1: us and it's awesome, and we got Mahomes at one.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Let's just put Lamar at two for the sake of
- 6:12Speaker 1: the argument because I don't feel like arguing. At three,
- 6:15Speaker 1: we'll put Josh Allen, or we will go to a two.
- 6:17Speaker 1: B who gives a crap at four will put Joe Burrow.
- 6:20Speaker 1: That's four, legit, guys. Okay, let's go to five. Somebody
- 6:23Speaker 1: suggests a five because I think that's where the gap is,
- 6:26Speaker 1: right from that A tier to the B plus tier.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I think right there is where the next set of
- 6:33Speaker 1: quarterbacks goes. GoF No, I mean, I'm trying to give
- 6:39Speaker 1: some love to the NFL.
- 6:39Speaker 5: I think that.
- 6:42Speaker 1: The trouble with Gough is he was seen as not
- 6:46Speaker 1: as good for a long time. He was traded. Yeah,
- 6:49Speaker 1: he went to Detroit. He was just and he wasn't
- 6:51Speaker 1: a throw in, but no one expected him that whole thing.
- 6:54Speaker 1: We're gonna trade all these picks and okay, Golf for Stafford,
- 6:58Speaker 1: even though Golf have been to a super Bowl, but
- 7:00Speaker 1: he was never seen as the guy. So what happens is,
- 7:04Speaker 1: and I would say, I can compare this into the
- 7:06Speaker 1: business world. There are people that were my bosses when
- 7:10Speaker 1: I got hired into this company or when my show
- 7:13Speaker 1: become a syndicated show thirteen years ago, that are still
- 7:16Speaker 1: my bosses. That are still in this company, they still
- 7:18Speaker 1: look at me as the guy that I don't know
- 7:23Speaker 1: if he'll make it. It's intern syndrome, Like you hire
- 7:26Speaker 1: somebody as an intern, but they end up being a
- 7:28Speaker 1: freaking massive executive. The people that are there that saw
- 7:31Speaker 1: them as the intern still see them as the intern.
- 7:33Speaker 1: And there are people that look at me in the
- 7:34Speaker 1: same way and they're like, well, you're still just the
- 7:37Speaker 1: dude that you're like, oh, he's crazy, let's risk it
- 7:39Speaker 1: and see if he'll do it. And that's just natural.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Same thing with Jared Goff, like we still see him
- 7:45Speaker 1: as I don't know, he's a ram. He kind of sucks,
- 7:48Speaker 1: but he's kind of good. But he's really not going
- 7:49Speaker 1: to be great, but he's awesome.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, yeah yeah.
- 7:52Speaker 6: The thing about these eight tier quarterbacks too is that
- 7:54Speaker 6: they're you know, they can run and they can throw.
- 7:56Speaker 6: I feel like goth is just really a pocket passer,
- 7:59Speaker 6: very good at it actually with this team, but that's
- 8:01Speaker 6: really what's separating these two tiers.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Great point too, about that golf doesn't have a lot
- 8:06Speaker 1: of because well we love to see are dynamic run
- 8:11Speaker 1: hurdles like run through, run through somebody, all that like
- 8:18Speaker 1: that's what so so he's also not doing that, and
- 8:20Speaker 1: he's also got so many weapons compared to his own weapons,
- 8:24Speaker 1: he's not dynamic. Yeah, okay, I can put golf in
- 8:28Speaker 1: the level two categories such.
- 8:30Speaker 5: A drop off, such a drop off, because then you
- 8:33Speaker 5: talk talk about.
- 8:35Speaker 1: And I think that's that category, right, So I'd put Hurts. Boy,
- 8:40Speaker 1: Hurts almost was that so close he was there. I
- 8:48Speaker 1: would put Jalen Hurts. I would put golf Jordan Love.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I think has it has gotten into like the ball
- 8:56Speaker 1: he come he came up through the id put him
- 8:59Speaker 1: in that second. Because in my mind there's four categories.
- 9:03Speaker 1: There's the a's, the bees, the seeds that didn't quite
- 9:07Speaker 1: maybe you either thought they would. And then the d's
- 9:09Speaker 1: who are just overrated and only have a job because
- 9:12Speaker 1: they happen to be the twenty ninth best, or they're
- 9:15Speaker 1: lucky that so and so's backup is under contract. Yeah,
- 9:18Speaker 1: or a team is not wanting to spend money and
- 9:20Speaker 1: they're gonna lose for a bit. Yeah, like that they
- 9:22Speaker 1: would be like to aid o'connells. That would be like
- 9:24Speaker 1: the Gardner Minshew type games.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Yep.
- 9:26Speaker 1: But that B category, I mean you got to put
- 9:29Speaker 1: I think you put Stroud in there, Baker.
- 9:33Speaker 5: We didn't put Stafford on there, did we.
- 9:35Speaker 1: I think, for a second, I think Stafford was up
- 9:37Speaker 1: in that A. Yeah, he like winked at it for
- 9:39Speaker 1: a minute, because even though he was great in Detroit,
- 9:42Speaker 1: they didn't win. So I don't think when that's if
- 9:45Speaker 1: you're not winning, I don't think you can be up
- 9:47Speaker 1: in the A even if you're amazing. But then he
- 9:50Speaker 1: got moved to LA and he winked at it and
- 9:51Speaker 1: won a super Bowl. Yeah, and then they suck because
- 9:54Speaker 1: they people were tired, you know. They they went all
- 9:56Speaker 1: in their first round pick, they went all in. Absolutely.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 1: So yeah, he has a talent for sure, but hasn't
- 10:03Speaker 1: been on enough winning teams to like live in it.
- 10:05Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 10:05Speaker 4: But man, when he's rollings, they can win against the fight,
- 10:08Speaker 4: they can get to the super Bowl. I don't think
- 10:11Speaker 4: they will be shocked. But but it wouldn't Yeah, I
- 10:14Speaker 4: wouldn't be, Like this is unbelievable. Could you take him
- 10:16Speaker 4: in the NFC? Like which NFC quarterback in it now
- 10:20Speaker 4: is better than him?
- 10:21Speaker 8: Like?
- 10:21Speaker 5: Who would you rather have than him?
- 10:22Speaker 1: Great question? Yeah, So okay, let's just go the NFC
- 10:25Speaker 1: teams Detroit Lions. Would I rather have Jared And this
- 10:27Speaker 1: is the big trade. I think I'd still rather have
- 10:28Speaker 1: Matt Stafford. Yeah, I would too, I'd rather per the trade.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Then they would rather have Matt Stafford because they give
- 10:35Speaker 1: up golf and a bunch of picks. The difference is
- 10:37Speaker 1: Stafford is going to be done before golf is right, Yeah,
- 10:40Speaker 1: the Stafford's probably got maybe next year, and then you
- 10:44Speaker 1: start to flirt with maybe not, who knows. Yeah, I
- 10:49Speaker 1: I think I'd rather have Stafford than Jalen Hurts. I
- 10:55Speaker 1: would different quarterbacks seems more clutch. I think I'd rather
- 11:00Speaker 1: Now are we in a vacuum a single season? Right now? Okay,
- 11:04Speaker 1: going into the playoffs right now, I'd rather have Stafford
- 11:06Speaker 1: than Hurts. Yeah, Okay, the I'd rather have Stafford than
- 11:10Speaker 1: Jay and Daniels. Yeah, if we're going only this this playoff? Right,
- 11:17Speaker 1: So of the four teams, I think Stafford is the
- 11:20Speaker 1: NFC quarterback I like to have the most. Yeah, and
- 11:24Speaker 1: he's won a Super Bowl. He talking to Matt Castle.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Dudes apparently like a genius as far as remembering things
- 11:33Speaker 1: like is he's like, dude, remember like the sixth play
- 11:36Speaker 1: they called in twenty thirteen on it and something like
- 11:40Speaker 1: McVeigh has that they have to be together. They happen
- 11:42Speaker 1: to be together, So I'm sure that's that's it. But
- 11:44Speaker 1: he talks about Stafford that way. Whoa like he can
- 11:46Speaker 1: just remember everything.
- 11:48Speaker 3: I can't remember what I did yesterday.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Dude, where are we right now?
- 11:52Speaker 8: You know?
- 11:52Speaker 1: Uh so here are the games on Saturday? You got
- 11:55Speaker 1: the Texans again? Correculation, This Texans your a Saturday game.
- 11:58Speaker 1: You know, if there's an NFL game on Saturday and
- 11:59Speaker 1: the postseason and the Texans are in the playoffs, just
- 12:02Speaker 1: ride it down. It's there. Put it put on a tablet,
- 12:04Speaker 1: like because the NFL thinks, probably the Texans they haven't
- 12:09Speaker 1: been around long enough to have a massive fan base,
- 12:10Speaker 1: they haven't won a lot to have a massive fan base,
- 12:12Speaker 1: so they put them in the least desirable spot.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Do you see their halftime show last week? Love Mariachi
- 12:17Speaker 3: band not mariad cool man.
- 12:20Speaker 5: What's the difference.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Mariactu. They got the hats and all the bells and
- 12:23Speaker 3: the violin and everything that Hanno's like, it's more like
- 12:28Speaker 3: a band with like drums.
- 12:30Speaker 5: Like a Mexican band.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, good question. I would have said, ones at
- 12:34Speaker 1: a restaurant, ones not, that's probably a better way, like
- 12:38Speaker 1: you No, No, that's not a better way.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Then band is not going to go to your table.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Correct. I would think it's to Hano band is just
- 12:42Speaker 1: like pop Mexican my mind, is just like a pop
- 12:45Speaker 1: Mexican band with guitars and stuff, but just from Mexico
- 12:48Speaker 1: that they're probably not called Tejano in Mexico. They're probably
- 12:51Speaker 1: just called a band.
- 12:51Speaker 3: That would be a band.
- 12:52Speaker 1: I don't know if that's true. Would that be accurate? Yeah,
- 12:55Speaker 1: like Manacchi doesn't plug in, they're just like I'm not
- 13:01Speaker 1: fighting from my perspective, I'm just saying that's what I
- 13:03Speaker 1: would have said. We only call it a to Hano
- 13:05Speaker 1: band because it's like a popper rock band from Mexico.
- 13:10Speaker 1: But if you go to Mexico, it's probably just a band.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Yeah, Well to Hana is a Texas Mexican band.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Texan oh, Tohna Texas, Texas and Mexico. Right, to Hano Mexican.
- 13:22Speaker 3: No, like I'm a Titano, like I'm a Texan born
- 13:24Speaker 3: and Mexican, right, I think that's just what you're saying Spanish, right,
- 13:27Speaker 3: Mike So.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Like Miranda Lambert is technically tana. I always thought it
- 13:33Speaker 1: was a Texas Mexican, or like the family was from Mexico,
- 13:37Speaker 1: or like they were Mexican.
- 13:40Speaker 3: George straight to Hano.
- 13:42Speaker 5: Ben So the team named the Texans like the hands. Wow,
- 13:49Speaker 5: they should change it to that.
- 13:51Speaker 1: My mind is blown. Yeah, so I guess maybe a
- 13:55Speaker 1: person that I'm thinking would be called a text Mexican.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Like the food.
- 13:59Speaker 5: Yes you're thinking of, not choose?
- 14:00Speaker 1: I am, I didn't know that. That's good? That okay.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Also on Saturday, the Commanders and Lions a good game.
- 14:09Speaker 1: I think these are the least desirable games.
- 14:12Speaker 3: You don't think the Commanders can be a contender?
- 14:14Speaker 1: Here a little more, Jaden Daniels Matt No, I don't interesting.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I think Detroit takes BTA and goes bright. You know,
- 14:23Speaker 1: well yeah, belt, yeah, let make surebody knows it again,
- 14:25Speaker 1: because one time I said it, nobody I got it.
- 14:28Speaker 1: That's why they're the Saturday games. I think those are
- 14:32Speaker 1: the least interesting games. I think the Chiefs probably take
- 14:36Speaker 1: it to Houston to how knows, and I don't know
- 14:40Speaker 1: how Washington stops Detroit. Yeah, I die don't that's a
- 14:44Speaker 1: difference that that is the difference. And then on Sunday,
- 14:48Speaker 1: Rams and Eagles. That's a good game. That's a seven
- 14:51Speaker 1: out of ten game, Like that's exciting. I'm not super
- 14:54Speaker 1: super INChO in either team, but I'm quite interested in both.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Both have B level storyline. That's again, that's a fun game,
- 15:03Speaker 1: and either one of those teams winning the NFC, I
- 15:07Speaker 1: would not be shocked by the only time I would
- 15:09Speaker 1: be shocked by the NFCB the Commanders that won the
- 15:11Speaker 1: NFC because it's so wide open. Yeah, every the Lions,
- 15:15Speaker 1: the Eagles, or the Rams to go to the Super Bowl.
- 15:17Speaker 1: H Okay, I could kind of see that coming. But
- 15:21Speaker 1: then the Ravens and the Bills six thirty I guess
- 15:24Speaker 1: five thirty Central on Sunday Night on CBS Paramount. Plus
- 15:27Speaker 1: that's the thing, man, that game that's gonna be so
- 15:31Speaker 1: tense for those guys, Like I'm nervous for them and
- 15:33Speaker 1: I don't give a crap about them.
- 15:35Speaker 6: Yeah, I just hope it's not a blowout like the
- 15:36Speaker 6: game during the season was, because I think Ravens blew
- 15:39Speaker 6: them out thirty five to ten. Oh, I just gotta
- 15:42Speaker 6: hope it's a good one.
- 15:42Speaker 1: That was in Baltimore. That was in Baltimore though, so
- 15:45Speaker 1: and this is in Buffalo, and then it's the playoffs.
- 15:48Speaker 1: I don't know, actually the forecast, would mind looking at
- 15:51Speaker 1: forecast for Sunday.
- 15:54Speaker 4: Be sad that one of those two quarterbacks is going
- 15:56Speaker 4: to be our same Yeah, it's like America Stories.
- 15:59Speaker 5: Can you to the NFC for a little bit or something?
- 16:02Speaker 3: Could it be where like the whole game, both of
- 16:04Speaker 3: them just run the ball the whole game, like, yeah,
- 16:07Speaker 3: screw the team, I'm doing this, and lamar myself and
- 16:13Speaker 3: then Josh give me the ball.
- 16:14Speaker 2: I'm doing this.
- 16:16Speaker 1: I think they've already had the MVP voting, Okay, So
- 16:20Speaker 1: so I don't know that any of them can prove
- 16:23Speaker 1: anything at this point. They just probably want to win
- 16:25Speaker 1: the game. But that'll be a fun one. I hate
- 16:28Speaker 1: that one has to lose. Two sucks because I'm not
- 16:30Speaker 1: totally invested in either one same and it sucks that
- 16:33Speaker 1: because they're both competitors, they are both so freaking good.
- 16:35Speaker 1: It sucks that they both can't win. But I'm not
- 16:39Speaker 1: going to advocate for participation trophy and division weekend Reid.
- 16:43Speaker 9: So Saturday, the highs are thirty nine degrees with the
- 16:45Speaker 9: low of eighteen degrees. It's going to be cloudy with
- 16:47Speaker 9: rain and snow in the morning, with a little bit
- 16:50Speaker 9: of snow in the afternoon.
- 16:51Speaker 1: And that's great. That's the day before the game. What
- 16:52Speaker 1: about the day of the game.
- 16:54Speaker 10: Oh yeah, on Saturday, on Saturday, I mean Sunday. Yeah,
- 16:57Speaker 10: sorry weather man here. Eighteen percent chance of snow flurries.
- 17:02Speaker 10: High of twenty two degrees, low of ten cold.
- 17:05Speaker 3: That's very cool.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Yeah. I guess Baltimore, though, they're going to be fine
- 17:08Speaker 1: and cold because they're used to it, and Derek Henry
- 17:10Speaker 1: is just like the X factor.
- 17:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Odds makers as far as overall odds to win the
- 17:15Speaker 1: Super Bowl, the Detroit Lions at plus two to eighty five.
- 17:18Speaker 1: They are the favorite. A lot of that favorite is
- 17:21Speaker 1: that they're on the side of the bracket that they
- 17:24Speaker 1: think they can win the most, and then you put
- 17:25Speaker 1: them in the Super Bowl. Uh. Then you have Kansas
- 17:28Speaker 1: City at two, Philadelphia at three, Baltimore and Buffalo tied
- 17:33Speaker 1: for fourth, and all those are they're pretty close. The
- 17:38Speaker 1: Rams Commanders Texas. You know, I think I should take
- 17:40Speaker 1: a fly on the Rams. They're a plus twenty two hundred.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Oh and I don't think they're going to win the
- 17:44Speaker 1: super Bowl, but that's a great they could definitely make.
- 17:47Speaker 1: That's a great odd to put ten bucks on it.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Yeah right, I'm doing that now because if they lose,
- 17:52Speaker 1: it was only ten bucks. But if they win, you're like, man,
- 17:55Speaker 1: I thought they were better than what they were being
- 17:56Speaker 1: given credit for.
- 17:57Speaker 5: And yeah, and you can even cash out if you
- 18:00Speaker 5: get there.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Dude, you're telling me.
- 18:02Speaker 3: It's ten bucks. Well that's when you don't cash out
- 18:05Speaker 3: and it's ten dollars.
- 18:06Speaker 5: Yeah, but then you can hedge it and or put
- 18:10Speaker 5: it on the AFC team, the Chiefs.
- 18:13Speaker 1: The lines are Chiefs are minus eight right now in
- 18:21Speaker 1: Kansas City. That'll be probably a cold game read cheaps weather.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Let's see Sunday in Kansas City. Oh, yes, Saturday. But
- 18:30Speaker 1: it's like they had to deal with two bad like
- 18:31Speaker 1: the Chiefs, which is the most popular team, and the Texans,
- 18:35Speaker 1: which are probably the least popular team. It's like they
- 18:39Speaker 1: had to decide which team do we want to focus on? Andy,
- 18:43Speaker 1: I guess they couldn't put it like Saturday at midnight,
- 18:45Speaker 1: which middle ground.
- 18:48Speaker 9: I have twenty five degrees low of nine degrees.
- 18:51Speaker 1: It looks so cold in the Stadium because that stadium
- 18:53Speaker 1: is old too. Everything about playing in Kansas City, like it.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Hurts is arrowhead old.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it's been around for a while.
- 19:00Speaker 5: Yeah, I think it's called Geha Stadium.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Now what is it?
- 19:05Speaker 1: But I mean, I guess it's still referred to it.
- 19:07Speaker 5: Right, because that's what everyone knows about legally.
- 19:10Speaker 1: You know they have done to jail.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Oh true, g e a field and it's in the
- 19:15Speaker 3: shape of an arrowhead.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Dude, I don't know. I've just been there. I've never
- 19:17Speaker 1: been to a game there, but I've been a Kaufman Stadium,
- 19:19Speaker 1: which is at the baseball They're right beside each other,
- 19:22Speaker 1: and so I go watch the Royals play, and then
- 19:24Speaker 1: it's like, there's what the Chiefs play.
- 19:25Speaker 3: That's cool.
- 19:26Speaker 5: Nineteen seventy two.
- 19:28Speaker 6: Dang, that is old school.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Lions are minus nine and a half. That is in Detroit.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Eagles are minus six over the Rams Baltimore, minus one
- 19:39Speaker 1: at Buffalo, so they're a point favorite in Buffalo. That's fun.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to it. I'm looking forward to Chiefs
- 19:47Speaker 1: should just run away with it in that game quick,
- 19:49Speaker 1: so I can spend time with my wife. Yes, so
- 19:51Speaker 1: then I can use that time for other games you
- 19:53Speaker 1: build points. Yeah, I would love him to be up
- 19:56Speaker 1: like by twenty one and a half so I don't
- 19:57Speaker 1: have to watch second half and then I can just
- 20:00Speaker 1: go hang out with my wife. So when I do
- 20:01Speaker 1: want to break away later, it's not as much of
- 20:04Speaker 1: an ask, which she will always say yes to.
- 20:06Speaker 8: But I know.
- 20:08Speaker 1: To not be able to hang out with me, that's tough. Yeah,
- 20:11Speaker 1: Or I do this, but you can watch the game
- 20:13Speaker 1: with me. She never want that too. They never want
- 20:16Speaker 1: to watch, but you watch the game with me.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:19Speaker 1: So a fun weekend ahead DraftKings is crowning a king
- 20:24Speaker 1: of the end zone every NFL game day this weekend.
- 20:26Speaker 1: It's super easy to do. You place a five dollars
- 20:29Speaker 1: pre game bet on an offensive player to find the
- 20:32Speaker 1: end zone, and if they have the longest rushing or
- 20:35Speaker 1: receiving touchdown that day, they are king of the end
- 20:37Speaker 1: zone and you want to share of two million dollars
- 20:39Speaker 1: in bonus bets. Think about that, a five dollars pre
- 20:42Speaker 1: game bet, you can be the king of the end zone.
- 20:44Speaker 1: It's like Derrick Henry to me is a for sure
- 20:47Speaker 1: end zoner, but is he the longest? Like That's where
- 20:50Speaker 1: it gets a bit tricky. He does have breakaway ish
- 20:53Speaker 1: ish speed. He can but like sake one would probably
- 20:56Speaker 1: be a guy as far as like rushing. Even last
- 21:00Speaker 1: week when he slid right, he that was killer. He
- 21:04Speaker 1: breaks that second level gone money on him.
- 21:07Speaker 4: You know he's super fast toos James Cook, he is
- 21:10Speaker 4: good to He gets those corners and it's.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Like dang, yeah. So if I were going to bet
- 21:15Speaker 1: running back, probably Saquon receiving touchdown. That's a crapshoot.
- 21:22Speaker 6: Maybe Jalen Hurts gives AJ Brown some love after the
- 21:25Speaker 6: whole book everything going on.
- 21:27Speaker 1: What's weird is when A J. Brown would be mad
- 21:29Speaker 1: he didn't get the ball when they lost. That was
- 21:31Speaker 1: always weird to me because you're not gonna win public
- 21:34Speaker 1: favor with that. When your team is winning winning, you
- 21:37Speaker 1: hold that when you're losing, and then you'd have it split.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we gotta get the ball, so we got
- 21:41Speaker 1: to win. But if like you're winning, you're like, only God,
- 21:42Speaker 1: I need the ball more. That ain't really politically a
- 21:45Speaker 1: good move.
- 21:46Speaker 5: Can't back that up? Yeah, no, in anyway can't.
- 21:50Speaker 3: And what's going on with Cooper Cup, Like they'll go
- 21:52Speaker 3: a whole half of a game without him getting the ball.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Well, if they're bracketing him the whole time, like if
- 21:56Speaker 1: there if their job is to shut down Cooper Cup,
- 22:00Speaker 1: I feel like the Rams, because they do have Pooka.
- 22:03Speaker 1: I feel like the Rams will go, Okay, we will
- 22:06Speaker 1: let you have that small victory. If not, we'll just
- 22:08Speaker 1: give it to this guy. And I feel like part
- 22:11Speaker 1: of their offensive philosophy is somebody's gonna get shut down,
- 22:14Speaker 1: and you continue to be shut down because you're making
- 22:17Speaker 1: it easier on everybody else. So I don't feel like
- 22:21Speaker 1: Cooper is an AJ Brown type player, which I would
- 22:24Speaker 1: be an AJ Brown type player, like I need the ball.
- 22:26Speaker 1: But I feel like he knows his role in that
- 22:28Speaker 1: offense is if he's being bracketed or double teamed or
- 22:32Speaker 1: or they're they're rolling over on him, he needs to
- 22:35Speaker 1: continue to do that so it opens up the rest.
- 22:38Speaker 1: And he's not gonna pull out a book. If he
- 22:41Speaker 1: does on the sidelines, it be like cat in the hat.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Something easy to read, something easy to read. Draft King

- 23:47Speaker 1: three Robert Griffin the third mister G three. Robert was
- 23:52Speaker 1: Jade Daniels before Jane Daniels was jayde Daniels. Oh yeah,
- 23:55Speaker 1: and had he not been hurt, he probably would have
- 23:59Speaker 1: been killing it for years in years to come the
- 24:00Speaker 1: same draft. Remember that they took RG three and then
- 24:03Speaker 1: Kirk Cousins.
- 24:04Speaker 5: Oh yeah later on in the yeah fourth round or something.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Yeah. He now does his own podcast and YouTube channel
- 24:10Speaker 1: with his wife called out of Pocket with RG three.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Check it out. We love spending time with him here
- 24:14Speaker 1: he is RG three. Hey, mister G three, Hey, what
- 24:18Speaker 1: do people what do people call you? They call you
- 24:19Speaker 1: Rob the RG three. What are people like that? Like
- 24:22Speaker 1: meet you for the first time, I call you.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Mister Bones.
- 24:26Speaker 11: People who meet me for the first time call me
- 24:28Speaker 11: RG three, But it's it's just my initials. So you
- 24:31Speaker 11: can call me Rob Griff three if you want to
- 24:34Speaker 11: call me RG or if you want to call me
- 24:36Speaker 11: RG three, go for it.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Yeah, he gets like I've been following your career, Like
- 24:40Speaker 1: I know people that know you and they're like we
- 24:42Speaker 1: love them, but like first time you meet him, if
- 24:44Speaker 1: it's formal, mister G three like that, So we really
- 24:48Speaker 1: appreciate you spend a little bit of time with us.
- 24:50Speaker 1: I want to start obviously with the quarterbacks and Ravens
- 24:53Speaker 1: and Bills, like that's the game. Both quarterbacks have a
- 24:58Speaker 1: different pressure on them, but a lot of pressure on both.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Who's got the most Is it Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson?
- 25:05Speaker 11: No, I mean it's it's Lamar Jackson. And you know,
- 25:08Speaker 11: the bottom line is this is an MVP showdown, Like
- 25:11Speaker 11: this is the kind of game that you wish the
- 25:14Speaker 11: MVP trophy could actually be on the line during this game.
- 25:18Speaker 11: To have it in the divisional round shows you that
- 25:20Speaker 11: the football gods have really been looking good upon us
- 25:23Speaker 11: and blessing us in this moment. But but honestly, the game,
- 25:28Speaker 11: there's more pressure on Lamar because of how he has
- 25:31Speaker 11: performed in the playoffs, especially in his second game. You know,
- 25:34Speaker 11: the stats support that. You know, he's won the majority
- 25:37Speaker 11: of his first round games, but in his second game
- 25:39Speaker 11: in the playoffs, his numbers are really really bad, not
- 25:42Speaker 11: numbers that you would expect from a two time MVP.
- 25:45Speaker 11: And Josh Allen, other hand, in the playoffs has actually
- 25:47Speaker 11: performed extremely well. I think his QBR is over one hundred,
- 25:51Speaker 11: or his quarterback rating is over one hundred. He's just
- 25:53Speaker 11: run into a buzzsa all a bunch of times with
- 25:55Speaker 11: Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. So I think
- 25:57Speaker 11: there is more pressure on Lamar Jackson being the two
- 26:00Speaker 11: time MVP, But I don't think it comes down to
- 26:03Speaker 11: whether or not Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson plays better.
- 26:07Speaker 11: I personally believe it it comes down to the running backs,
- 26:10Speaker 11: Derrick Henry and James Cook. In their first matchup in
- 26:13Speaker 11: Week four, James Cook had thirty nine yards rushing and
- 26:15Speaker 11: Dereck Henry at one hundred and ninety nine. So when
- 26:18Speaker 11: you look at that, the big fellows up front who
- 26:21Speaker 11: don't get the most love in the world, those offensive linemen,
- 26:24Speaker 11: But it's gonna come down to how well they play
- 26:26Speaker 11: and the running backs are going to truly take this
- 26:28Speaker 11: game over and determine who wins.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Would it be fair to say that there's the most
- 26:31Speaker 1: pressure on Lamar in the playoffs, but Josh Allen's pressure
- 26:34Speaker 1: would be against Patrick Mahomes because other than the regular season,
- 26:38Speaker 1: he has not been able to win that situation.
- 26:41Speaker 11: Yeah, I think that is fair, But the bottom line
- 26:44Speaker 11: for Josh Allen is he's not going against Patrick Mahomes
- 26:46Speaker 11: in this game. And when you look at the first
- 26:49Speaker 11: round games for each teams, the Ravens beat the Steelers,
- 26:52Speaker 11: and of course the Bills beat the Broncos. But the
- 26:55Speaker 11: Bills went one for five in the red zone against
- 26:58Speaker 11: the Denver Broncos, and if they do against the Baltimore Ravens,
- 27:01Speaker 11: they're not going to win the game. In their first
- 27:03Speaker 11: matchup in Week four, they went one for two in
- 27:05Speaker 11: the red zone. The Ravens went four for four and
- 27:07Speaker 11: blew them out thirty five to ten. So Josh Allen
- 27:11Speaker 11: cannot focus on what could be ahead, and Patrick Mahomes
- 27:15Speaker 11: and the Chiefs, if they both get there, they have
- 27:17Speaker 11: to take care of Baltimore Ravens teams that beat the
- 27:20Speaker 11: breaks off of them earlier in the season. And truly,
- 27:24Speaker 11: it's kind of like a little bit of their kryptonite
- 27:26Speaker 11: right now, because what the Ravens are great at, the
- 27:28Speaker 11: Bills aren't.
- 27:29Speaker 1: The Eagles did not throw the ball well last week.
- 27:31Speaker 1: They did win the game, but they did not throw
- 27:33Speaker 1: the ball well. You know, you got book reading on
- 27:35Speaker 1: the sideline. It's not like they don't have the receivers.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Was that obviously not purposeful, But do they have to
- 27:42Speaker 1: get a lot better at throwing the ball or are
- 27:43Speaker 1: they just establishing Saquan in the run and then anything
- 27:46Speaker 1: else is just gravy, Bobby.
- 27:48Speaker 11: It all comes down to perspective here, Okay, if you
- 27:51Speaker 11: want to look at the glass half full, you say, listen,
- 27:54Speaker 11: Sakwan ran the ball extremely well, Jalen Hurts didn't need
- 27:58Speaker 11: to throw the football all that often, and they're going
- 28:01Speaker 11: up against the La Rams, who they dominated in the
- 28:03Speaker 11: running game. I think Saequon had two hundred and fifty
- 28:06Speaker 11: five yards rushing in their game earlier this season as well.
- 28:10Speaker 11: So that's a glass half full if you want to
- 28:12Speaker 11: be negative and you want to look at a glass
- 28:14Speaker 11: half empty. There's no way in hell that Aj Brown
- 28:17Speaker 11: should ever finish a game that he was healthy in
- 28:20Speaker 11: with one catch for ten yards. And I think when
- 28:23Speaker 11: you look at the Eagles Super Bowl run, their passing
- 28:25Speaker 11: game was humming. And when you have guys like Devontae Smith,
- 28:28Speaker 11: Dallas Godd, AJ Brown and Sakwon Barkley also catching passes
- 28:32Speaker 11: out of the backfield, there's no excuse for the Eagles
- 28:35Speaker 11: to not be clicking on all cylinders when it comes
- 28:38Speaker 11: to their passing game. And the only caveat there is
- 28:41Speaker 11: that Jalen Hurts missed the last two games in the season,
- 28:44Speaker 11: So could he be getting back into the swing of things,
- 28:46Speaker 11: you know, knocking off a little bit of rust. Yes,
- 28:49Speaker 11: But aj Brown reading that book on the sideline was
- 28:53Speaker 11: something that I've heard he does a lot. It's not
- 28:55Speaker 11: the first time he's done it. But the way they
- 28:57Speaker 11: caught him reading it seemed like he was trying to
- 28:59Speaker 11: wooz saw himself some Martin Lawrence to make sure that
- 29:02Speaker 11: he didn't know completely freak out on the entire team.
- 29:06Speaker 11: And Ah is a team guy. I got to say
- 29:07Speaker 11: that he's a team guy. He only cares about winning.
- 29:10Speaker 11: He had great spirits on the sideline. But if I'm
- 29:12Speaker 11: a quarterback, I'm not finishing the game with him having
- 29:15Speaker 11: one catch for ten yards. He's getting one catch for
- 29:18Speaker 11: ten yard per drive. Like he's that important to their
- 29:21Speaker 11: passing game. And when he's clicking, they're clicking. They got
- 29:23Speaker 11: to find a way to get him the ball at
- 29:25Speaker 11: least five times in the first quarter of this game
- 29:28Speaker 11: coming up.
- 29:28Speaker 1: It could be Redskins, Browns, or Ravens. But when you
- 29:32Speaker 1: were playing, was there a receiver that you felt I
- 29:35Speaker 1: gotta get him the ball early just so he stays
- 29:38Speaker 1: involved mentally in the game.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Who was that, Yeah, my best receiver at the time
- 29:42Speaker 2: was Pierre Garson.
- 29:44Speaker 11: He was my first touchdown pass in my career against
- 29:47Speaker 11: the New Orleans Saints in the Superdome, so I knew
- 29:51Speaker 11: I needed to get him the ball early.
- 29:52Speaker 2: But it was also because he was our best player.
- 29:55Speaker 11: And when you're an offensive coordinator, I know Kellen Moore
- 29:57Speaker 11: is known for having these number one offenses and being
- 30:00Speaker 11: able to do it either through the air on the ground.
- 30:03Speaker 11: But you have that scripted fifteen plays when you start
- 30:06Speaker 11: the game, and you have to find ways to have
- 30:09Speaker 11: at least five plays in that script that you know
- 30:12Speaker 11: guaranteed AJ Brown is getting the football.
- 30:15Speaker 2: I'm telling you. When you do that and you get your.
- 30:17Speaker 11: Star receiver involved early, it eliminates a lot of the consternation.
- 30:22Speaker 11: It forces the defense to have to play coverage to
- 30:25Speaker 11: that guy and opens up everybody else in the passing game.
- 30:28Speaker 11: So that would be my note to Kellen moorees get
- 30:31Speaker 11: the ball to AJ Brown. He's your best player.
- 30:34Speaker 2: I know sa Kwon bark is pretty beastly too. AJ
- 30:37Speaker 2: Brown is your best pass catcher.
- 30:38Speaker 1: Go get him the Ball Chiefs and Texans Chiefs basically
- 30:42Speaker 1: had two weeks off because all those guys didn't play
- 30:44Speaker 1: the last week of the season. But those guys are vets.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Andy Reid's done it, so they don't need it, right.
- 30:50Speaker 2: No, they don't.
- 30:51Speaker 11: The thing I always say about the Kansas City Chiefs
- 30:53Speaker 11: is they're not playing to win like the T shirt
- 30:57Speaker 11: Olympics or or to look sexy during the regular season.
- 31:01Speaker 11: They have one mission, and their mission is to three peat,
- 31:03Speaker 11: and I think they're poised to do it. Their defense
- 31:05Speaker 11: is one of the top five in the NFL, and
- 31:08Speaker 11: they got Patrick Mahomes at quarterback with a healthy slate
- 31:12Speaker 11: of wide receivers, and Travis Kelsey, who seemed like he
- 31:15Speaker 11: took the entire regular season off, is now back a
- 31:18Speaker 11: ready to roll in the postseason, and in their last
- 31:21Speaker 11: game you kind of saw him come to life on
- 31:24Speaker 11: Christmas Day. So for the Chiefs, they they were probably
- 31:27Speaker 11: bored during the regular season knowing that their mission was
- 31:30Speaker 11: to be the first team ever to threepeat, and I
- 31:33Speaker 11: don't think that two.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Weeks off will bother them.
- 31:35Speaker 11: It's more of them coming out and establishing the line
- 31:38Speaker 11: of scrimmage on both sides of the ball against the
- 31:40Speaker 11: Houston Texans team that looked really, really good.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Last week, when Kevin Durant was drafted at Texas, the
- 31:45Speaker 1: story was he's so slight. Yeah, he's tall, he can
- 31:48Speaker 1: shoot for a big guy, for a tall guy, but
- 31:50Speaker 1: he's so slight. Same thing with Jayden Daniels a bit right,
- 31:52Speaker 1: it was he's thin, he's thin, he's thin. With Kevin Drant,
- 31:57Speaker 1: nobody talks about how how thin he is anymore. Well,
- 31:59Speaker 1: that part of the conversation end. With Jayden Daniels, after
- 32:03Speaker 1: seeing what he's done this year.
- 32:05Speaker 2: I think it's already ended.
- 32:06Speaker 8: You know.
- 32:07Speaker 11: I heard those murmurs about, hey, he's too skinny, Can
- 32:10Speaker 11: he take a hit? Does he protect himself? And I
- 32:13Speaker 11: think throughout his first year in the NFL, he's proven
- 32:15Speaker 11: that he's not too skinny, that he can take a hit,
- 32:17Speaker 11: and he's actually gotten smarter about sliding and getting down
- 32:20Speaker 11: to avoid a lot of those big collisions. But the
- 32:24Speaker 11: special thing for me with Jayden Daniels is just his demeanor.
- 32:27Speaker 11: You know, you hear people say the old Stewart Scott
- 32:31Speaker 11: saying he's cool on the other side of the pillow.
- 32:34Speaker 11: This guy, when the stakes get higher, his emotions and
- 32:38Speaker 11: his demeanor stays the same. It's almost like he rises
- 32:42Speaker 11: as the stakes get higher in the game, and he's
- 32:44Speaker 11: got five game winning drives this year. The Commanders have
- 32:47Speaker 11: won their last five games, all on the last play
- 32:51Speaker 11: from scrimmage. So I've heard some people call him the
- 32:54Speaker 11: cardiac Commanders, and to me, it's just you know, right now,
- 32:58Speaker 11: if you're the Washington Commanders, if you get the ball
- 33:00Speaker 11: and you're down by three, you're down by five and
- 33:02Speaker 11: Jadeen Daniels is your quarterback, that you're gonna win that
- 33:05Speaker 11: football game. And that's a situation. If you're the Detroit Lions,
- 33:08Speaker 11: you do not want to let the Commanders hang around
- 33:11Speaker 11: because Jaden Daniels has a knack, especially in his rookie year,
- 33:16Speaker 11: of finding ways to get the Commanders to win the
- 33:18Speaker 11: game and their Cinderella season can continue. And I think
- 33:21Speaker 11: that's the beautiful thing about it. Obviously, I played for
- 33:23Speaker 11: the Commanders and I'm very excited about the team and
- 33:26Speaker 11: what Jaden's done. There's no better city to win in
- 33:29Speaker 11: than in Washington, DC. But at the end of the day,
- 33:32Speaker 11: the Detroit Lions are the favorites to win the Super
- 33:34Speaker 11: Bowl right now, and if you're them, you don't want
- 33:37Speaker 11: to allow the Cinderella story to continue. Don't let them
- 33:40Speaker 11: hang around, Otherwise Jayden Daniels will beat you.
- 33:43Speaker 1: So speaking of Jayden like that reminds me of your career.
- 33:46Speaker 1: And so my question to you is, how do you
- 33:47Speaker 1: go in as a rookie into a position that is
- 33:50Speaker 1: traditionally the leadership position and lead when everyone's like, dude,
- 33:55Speaker 1: you're a kid, Like, how hard is that to do?
- 33:58Speaker 2: It's very hard.
- 33:59Speaker 11: And listen, I have, you know, the honor to play
- 34:02Speaker 11: with guys like London Fletcher, who calls the games I
- 34:05Speaker 11: believe for NBC, you know, during the during the week
- 34:09Speaker 11: and during the postseason for the Commanders, I got to
- 34:11Speaker 11: play with with Santana Moss. And when you walk into
- 34:15Speaker 11: that locker room, you got two legends that you've looked up.
- 34:17Speaker 2: To your entire life. Basically, uh I see that.
- 34:20Speaker 11: As being essentially similar to what Jayden experienced walking into
- 34:24Speaker 11: a locker room with Bobby Wagner as your middle linebacker.
- 34:27Speaker 11: There's a certain level of respect that you have towards
- 34:30Speaker 11: that player, and the number one thing you have to
- 34:32Speaker 11: do is show them you don't got to tell them.
- 34:35Speaker 11: Don't tell them what you're gonna do. Don't tell them
- 34:36Speaker 11: you're gonna do this and we're gonna do that. You
- 34:38Speaker 11: show them what you're gonna do. And that's what Jayden did.
- 34:41Speaker 11: He went in, he worked his tail off, he earned
- 34:43Speaker 11: their respect, he earned the starting job, and now he's
- 34:46Speaker 11: shown them with his play that he is their leader
- 34:50Speaker 11: and that they should follow him. He's he's risen the
- 34:52Speaker 11: level of everybody around him. Their leading receiver last week
- 34:56Speaker 11: was Diami Brown. I know who Diammy Brown is. I'm
- 34:58Speaker 11: sure his family and friends know who he is too,
- 35:00Speaker 11: But that was a career game for him, and he
- 35:02Speaker 11: had big plays in the biggest moments, and Jaden never
- 35:05Speaker 11: even batted an eye at throwing the football in his
- 35:08Speaker 11: direction in those moments. So to me, I just look
- 35:11Speaker 11: at what he's been able to accomplish, and I'm very
- 35:15Speaker 11: obviously proud of what he's been able to do. But
- 35:18Speaker 11: he has shown them that they can trust him and
- 35:20Speaker 11: they can believe in him.
- 35:21Speaker 2: Look at his reaction.
- 35:23Speaker 11: Go back and watch his reaction after Zaye made the
- 35:26Speaker 11: field goal to doink them into the divisional round. He
- 35:29Speaker 11: didn't react at all because he has a higher mission
- 35:32Speaker 11: in mind. It's not just about winning one playoff game.
- 35:35Speaker 11: He wants to bring the Super Bowl back to Washington, DC.
- 35:38Speaker 11: And I think that's what he's going to eventually do
- 35:40Speaker 11: in his career, and he has a good chance of
- 35:42Speaker 11: doing it this year.
- 35:44Speaker 1: How slow were the defenses in high school to you?
- 35:48Speaker 7: Like?
- 35:48Speaker 11: Was it?
- 35:49Speaker 1: Yea turtles?
- 35:54Speaker 11: Now like, you don't realize it until you get out
- 35:57Speaker 11: of it. Okay, So I grew up in a one
- 36:00Speaker 11: thousand square foot home.
- 36:01Speaker 2: If that.
- 36:02Speaker 11: Well, when I turned pro in my first house was
- 36:05Speaker 11: six thousand square feet. So when I went back after
- 36:08Speaker 11: a few months of living in that house to the
- 36:10Speaker 11: house I grew up in, you tell yourself, holy cow,
- 36:13Speaker 11: I didn't realize that this house was actually this small,
- 36:17Speaker 11: because when I grew up in it, I thought it
- 36:19Speaker 11: was a mansion. So when you go back and you
- 36:23Speaker 11: watch high school football after you've been in college for
- 36:25Speaker 11: a few months, you realize the how high of a
- 36:29Speaker 11: level college football is. My biggest offensive lineman was Let
- 36:34Speaker 11: me take that back. My starting center in high school
- 36:37Speaker 11: was five ten, two hundred and fifty pounds. My starting
- 36:40Speaker 11: center in college was six four, three hundred and twenty
- 36:43Speaker 11: five pounds. So just from your eyes and what you see,
- 36:47Speaker 11: it's completely different. It's a completely different game. So when
- 36:51Speaker 11: I watch high school football now, yes, it's the slowest
- 36:53Speaker 11: thing I've ever seen. It's like watching basketball at the
- 36:56Speaker 11: YMCA or at Lifetime Fitness.
- 36:59Speaker 2: You're like, oh man, that's that's something you know. Did
- 37:02Speaker 2: they it's part it's part of it.
- 37:04Speaker 1: They have you played multiple positions when needed in high
- 37:06Speaker 1: school because you were the athlete I did.
- 37:09Speaker 2: I played quarterback and I played safety.
- 37:11Speaker 1: So and you played both ways all the day like
- 37:14Speaker 1: you were. You weren't like the nickel or dime guy
- 37:16Speaker 1: like you were the safety.
- 37:18Speaker 2: No, I didn't play. I didn't play both ways the
- 37:20Speaker 2: entire time.
- 37:21Speaker 11: Now, you know, like Travis Hunter, Yeah, playing every single snap.
- 37:25Speaker 2: White out and dB. I did not do that.
- 37:27Speaker 11: I played spot duty safety, which basically meant if we
- 37:29Speaker 11: were going against a team that had a guy that
- 37:31Speaker 11: was faster than everybody else on the defense, then they
- 37:33Speaker 11: put me at safety because that was my child. Hey,
- 37:36Speaker 11: just go run that guy down. Okay, go run that
- 37:38Speaker 11: guy down and make sure he doesn't score. But uh,
- 37:41Speaker 11: I actually started off playing outside linebacker and quarterback, so
- 37:45Speaker 11: that was fun for a little bit. But uh no,
- 37:48Speaker 11: I didn't I didn't play full time both sides of
- 37:49Speaker 11: the ball in high school.
- 37:50Speaker 1: I feel like if you're playing linebacker, if you're playing
- 37:53Speaker 1: off ball, there's a lot of finger and risk injuries
- 37:56Speaker 1: that can easily happen. I didn't want my quarterback who
- 37:59Speaker 1: needs their fingers, wrist and arms like. I think that's
- 38:01Speaker 1: probably why I would not. Even though you're like the
- 38:03Speaker 1: great athlete of the conference division state, I wouldn't want
- 38:07Speaker 1: you to play a linebacker, right, that had to be why?
- 38:09Speaker 8: Uh?
- 38:10Speaker 11: Yes, if we were we threw the ball a little bit,
- 38:12Speaker 11: we ran the ball a fair share, and had an
- 38:14Speaker 11: all state running back behind me by the name of
- 38:16Speaker 11: Troy videl Uh serving the military, my brother you know,
- 38:19Speaker 11: appreciate his service. But playing linebacker and having a long
- 38:23Speaker 11: arm guys and set the edge of the line of
- 38:25Speaker 11: scrimmage and make sure everything gets turned back inside can
- 38:28Speaker 11: be a little bit more difficult on the shoulder region,
- 38:31Speaker 11: if you know what I'm saying. So that that's probably
- 38:33Speaker 11: why I stopped playing linebacker.
- 38:35Speaker 1: The jump from high school to college or the jump
- 38:37Speaker 1: from college to pros which speed differential shocked you most?
- 38:42Speaker 11: Ooh, I think the jump from that is a tough question.
- 38:48Speaker 11: That is a very tough question. See Boby, this's while
- 38:50Speaker 11: you do this. I would say the jump from from
- 38:54Speaker 11: college to the NFL was more drastic because when you
- 38:58Speaker 11: go from high school to college, the talent travels with you.
- 39:03Speaker 2: Right.
- 39:03Speaker 11: So I used to go to camps in the summer
- 39:05Speaker 11: and I'd be throwing the receivers, who are five star,
- 39:07Speaker 11: four star guys.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Going all these big schools. They catch everything.
- 39:11Speaker 11: You know, you throw it at their toes, their baby
- 39:14Speaker 11: towneil on their pinky toe, they scrape it off the ground.
- 39:17Speaker 11: They make a great player. They make a one hand
- 39:19Speaker 11: of grab behind their back. I didn't have a ton
- 39:21Speaker 11: of that in high school. I had great receivers though,
- 39:24Speaker 11: but not a ton of that. Well, when you go
- 39:26Speaker 11: to college, now all those guys are coming with you.
- 39:29Speaker 11: So the talent level is a big jump, but the
- 39:32Speaker 11: talent around.
- 39:33Speaker 2: You is also a big jump.
- 39:35Speaker 11: I feel like in the NFL, you take the one
- 39:38Speaker 11: or two guys I played against von Miller in college.
- 39:40Speaker 2: He went to Texas A and M.
- 39:42Speaker 11: Well, now there's like seven von Miller's on one team
- 39:46Speaker 11: and they're all rushing you at the same time. And
- 39:48Speaker 11: now your offensive line doesn't have the advantage because you
- 39:51Speaker 11: don't got to focus on one edge. You got to
- 39:53Speaker 11: focus on both edges, and that to me is where
- 39:56Speaker 11: the speed difference kind of became bigger. And the hashes
- 39:59Speaker 11: are tighter in the NFL than they are in college,
- 40:03Speaker 11: so there's more space to cover for the defense in
- 40:06Speaker 11: college than there is in the NFL. So everything is tighter,
- 40:09Speaker 11: the throwing windows are tighter. The talent is every single
- 40:12Speaker 11: guy on the field with somebody in high school and college.
- 40:16Speaker 11: They were all American in high school, all American in college,
- 40:19Speaker 11: and now the whole defense is all Americans. That's why
- 40:23Speaker 11: it's a lot more difficult in the NFL. Tighter field,
- 40:26Speaker 11: better athletes, and.
- 40:28Speaker 2: They're getting paid.
- 40:29Speaker 11: So if you score a touchdown on them where they
- 40:31Speaker 11: miss a tackle, it's taking food off their plate. And
- 40:34Speaker 11: I don't think people understand how hungry guys are when
- 40:37Speaker 11: they get to the NFL because they have to take
- 40:39Speaker 11: care of their families.
- 40:40Speaker 2: That's a big.
- 40:41Speaker 11: Difference then growing into becoming a man.
- 40:43Speaker 1: In college football, as kids, we would watch our favorite teams,
- 40:46Speaker 1: it didn't matter with the sport, and we had freaking rivals.
- 40:48Speaker 1: Like grew up a Cubs fan hated the Cardinals. Grew
- 40:51Speaker 1: up you know of Cowboy fans. I'm super close with
- 40:54Speaker 1: hated you know whatever. O they're NFC So.
- 40:57Speaker 3: For Redskins, sure fair enough?
- 40:59Speaker 1: Yes? How real is that in the locker room? Though? Like,
- 41:02Speaker 1: how does that translate? And if it does, is it
- 41:04Speaker 1: media driven that makes you hate the other team or
- 41:06Speaker 1: do you at all?
- 41:08Speaker 11: I think it's it's a combination. It depends on how
- 41:11Speaker 11: long you're there.
- 41:12Speaker 2: Right, I go to Baylor.
- 41:13Speaker 11: Our natural rivals were the teams that used to beat
- 41:16Speaker 11: the crap out of us all the time. So like
- 41:18Speaker 11: Texas and Oklahoma probably didn't look at us look at
- 41:21Speaker 11: Baylor as a rival, but we certainly looked at them
- 41:24Speaker 11: as rivals. And when we eventually beat them there when
- 41:27Speaker 11: I was in college, it was a big deal.
- 41:29Speaker 8: Uh.
- 41:29Speaker 11: But TCU was was one of our rivals. A and
- 41:32Speaker 11: M was one of our rivals in the NFL. It's
- 41:35Speaker 11: almost like your you guys ever played Dungeons and Dragons?
- 41:40Speaker 1: Familiar with it?
- 41:41Speaker 2: Okay, you're familiar with it. I've never played, by the way.
- 41:44Speaker 1: Well, I only said familiar with it because I didn't
- 41:47Speaker 1: want you to feel like we were judging.
- 41:50Speaker 11: Like I have never played Dungeons and Dragons, But I
- 41:53Speaker 11: mean you know, real life action, live playing all that
- 41:57Speaker 11: what they call them Larper's. It's almost like you're cos
- 42:00Speaker 11: playing whatever team that you're on. You never hear a
- 42:05Speaker 11: player say, man, this fan base is just the worst, right,
- 42:11Speaker 11: It's always hey, man, this fan base is the greatest.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Where they're the best, they're awesome.
- 42:16Speaker 11: So whatever that fan base is passionate about, the players
- 42:20Speaker 11: become passionate about because you want to endear yourself to
- 42:24Speaker 11: the fan base. You want to endear yourself and your
- 42:26Speaker 11: teammates to the people who are supporting you, paying for
- 42:28Speaker 11: the tickets. You know, really, the reason that we even
- 42:31Speaker 11: have a job in the first place is because of
- 42:33Speaker 11: the fandom that they have of these teams. So if
- 42:37Speaker 11: you're the Bears, yeah, you're gonna hate the Packers, If
- 42:41Speaker 11: you're the Commanders, you're gonna hate the Cowboys and the
- 42:44Speaker 11: Eagles and the Giants. And I think it becomes real
- 42:47Speaker 11: the longer you're there. If you're there for three, four,
- 42:51Speaker 11: five years, that's real hatred. It becomes ingrained in you.
- 42:55Speaker 11: It's no longer cose playing it. But when you step
- 42:57Speaker 11: foot into a rivalry and the first and you say,
- 43:01Speaker 11: as a starting quarterback, the Chicago Bears is you know,
- 43:04Speaker 11: f the Packers. It's not really real. You know, you
- 43:07Speaker 11: don't really you don't have any experience with that. You're
- 43:10Speaker 11: just cobs playing that in the moment. But I will
- 43:12Speaker 11: say for guys that were on teams that I was
- 43:15Speaker 11: on for multiple years, it becomes real quickly because of
- 43:19Speaker 11: the animosity between the fan bases.
- 43:22Speaker 3: RG three. How much football do you actually watch? Because
- 43:25Speaker 3: you know, Bobby and I we have we talk about,
- 43:27Speaker 3: you know, telling our wives like, hey, well this is
- 43:30Speaker 3: important to us. We're actually going to watch this game
- 43:32Speaker 3: or work. It's work versus all day Sunday. How much
- 43:35Speaker 3: football are you actually watching on Sundays and especially the
- 43:39Speaker 3: playoffs here?
- 43:40Speaker 8: Right?
- 43:41Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 43:41Speaker 11: I mean for me, I watch the games and and
- 43:44Speaker 11: the NFL has the app now where you can basically
- 43:46Speaker 11: stream the games even if they're not shown in your
- 43:49Speaker 11: whatever part of the country that you're in, which I
- 43:51Speaker 11: used to hate that, right you're stuck with no offense,
- 43:55Speaker 11: you know, the Jaguars going against against the Titans, and
- 43:58Speaker 11: you want to watch the evens and the Bills, you know.
- 44:01Speaker 11: So I do watch a ton of football on TV
- 44:04Speaker 11: when they're actually the games alive, but that pales in
- 44:07Speaker 11: comparison to the amount.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Of football that I that I that I feel like
- 44:09Speaker 1: I have to watch after.
- 44:12Speaker 11: The games are all done, breaking down the film so
- 44:14Speaker 11: that I can be educated when I talk to you guys.
- 44:17Speaker 2: I want to say this is the wrong way. But
- 44:18Speaker 2: there's a lot of people out there who are faking it.
- 44:20Speaker 8: You know.
- 44:21Speaker 11: I watch all this tape, I do all this, and
- 44:22Speaker 11: they don't really do it, and you can tell when
- 44:24Speaker 11: they start talking about the game. But I don't know
- 44:26Speaker 11: if you guys experienced this in your own relationships, but
- 44:29Speaker 11: for me, it's on Sundays and on the weekend. I'm
- 44:32Speaker 11: a girl dad of four. If you can see, you
- 44:34Speaker 11: know the hoodie here, got this from the daughters. I
- 44:37Speaker 11: did not make make this hoodie.
- 44:40Speaker 2: They made it for me, So thank you. Appreciate you guys.
- 44:43Speaker 2: But it's Wifey wants to go do things.
- 44:47Speaker 11: So it's like, hey, we're going to the pumpkin patch,
- 44:49Speaker 11: or we're going to this light show over here, We're
- 44:52Speaker 11: gonna go see Sonic three.
- 44:53Speaker 2: And I'm like, yeah, but you know, the game's on.
- 44:56Speaker 2: I kind of gotta watch this, and so I she.
- 45:00Speaker 11: Wins, of course, right, and we go do these different
- 45:04Speaker 11: things and I make sure that I find ways to
- 45:06Speaker 11: watch the game either on my phone or just keep
- 45:09Speaker 11: track of it on social media.
- 45:11Speaker 2: So that, to me is probably the biggest struggle.
- 45:13Speaker 11: But it's a struggle that I'm willing to take on
- 45:15Speaker 11: because I enjoy being a girl dad and I love
- 45:17Speaker 11: my family and I want to do things with them
- 45:19Speaker 11: as well as watch football.
- 45:22Speaker 1: Last question, where do you keep your heisman?
- 45:24Speaker 2: Right now? It is right there? Do you see it?
- 45:28Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 45:28Speaker 2: Yeah, you guys in the middle.
- 45:30Speaker 3: Oh, right in the middle.
- 45:31Speaker 1: Look, Oh it is right there. Yeah, that's pretty So
- 45:33Speaker 1: I had t Bows in my house for a while.
- 45:35Speaker 1: I think it's very heavy. I was surprised at how
- 45:37Speaker 1: heavy that that like, even when they hand it to you,
- 45:39Speaker 1: are you like, oh god, when you win it, you're like,
- 45:41Speaker 1: oh go god, dang, that thing's heavy.
- 45:43Speaker 11: Right, Yeah, it's it's it's a good forty five substantial
- 45:47Speaker 11: it's and it's distributed weirdly, you know. It's not like
- 45:50Speaker 11: a plate where you can just grab and hold on
- 45:52Speaker 11: to it. Did you win t Bows on like a
- 45:55Speaker 11: in the auction that he does.
- 45:57Speaker 1: Luke Bryan is a friend of mine and we were
- 45:59Speaker 1: doing some stuff on you and so we had and
- 46:01Speaker 1: Luke was messing like, uh, Troll and Tebow have a bulldog,
- 46:04Speaker 1: and so he's having the bulldog licked the heisman. So
- 46:06Speaker 1: it just stayed at the house for a couple of days.
- 46:08Speaker 1: It's a whole thing like Okay, we're playing dungeons Dragons,
- 46:12Speaker 1: we're licking. Yeah there, LARPing whatever.
- 46:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:16Speaker 1: So you mentioned your family, so out of pocket with
- 46:19Speaker 1: RG three's the podcast that you do with your wife.
- 46:22Speaker 1: How like with her involvement, was she like I want
- 46:25Speaker 1: to do this or were you like, hey, this would
- 46:26Speaker 1: be a really cool dynamic if we did.
- 46:28Speaker 11: This, I would say that it was It was probably Uh.
- 46:34Speaker 11: Our families are always there for us when when things
- 46:37Speaker 11: go wrong, so I and when they go right of course.
- 46:41Speaker 11: So when when I ended up getting laid off from ESPN,
- 46:45Speaker 11: you know, my wife was the person that I talked
- 46:48Speaker 11: to about really everything, but also sports, and like, hey,
- 46:51Speaker 11: I got this take.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Would you be able to understand this.
- 46:54Speaker 11: She's a Stonian, so you know football wasn't you know,
- 46:58Speaker 11: the thing that they really focused on on over there
- 47:00Speaker 11: in Europe. You know, it's more football soccer. So if
- 47:04Speaker 11: she could understand what I was saying, then I knew
- 47:05Speaker 11: that the people that I'm talking to whether it's the
- 47:08Speaker 11: most complicated fan or the fan that doesn't know a
- 47:10Speaker 11: lot would would know what's going on. So for doing
- 47:13Speaker 11: that for three to four years, she became very well
- 47:16Speaker 11: versed in football, which is obviously the world that I existed.
- 47:19Speaker 11: But she's also the record holder at Florida State in
- 47:23Speaker 11: the heptathlon, so she's a great athlete of her own
- 47:26Speaker 11: that we connected via track and field. That's a big
- 47:29Speaker 11: bond for the both of us. And I was like,
- 47:32Speaker 11: you know, I kind of want to do this podcast thing.
- 47:35Speaker 11: Let's have some fun, and I wanted to do it
- 47:38Speaker 11: with her. I wanted her to be my co host.
- 47:40Speaker 11: I feel like she adds so much more to the
- 47:43Speaker 11: dialogue of not just football but life, asking people the
- 47:46Speaker 11: questions that people really want to know, not just hey,
- 47:50Speaker 11: what's covered to you know, what's double lurk cover zero?
- 47:53Speaker 11: They want to know how these people are as family
- 47:56Speaker 11: and and who they are behind closed doors. When we
- 47:59Speaker 11: sat down with Notre Dames Marcus Freeman and we asked
- 48:02Speaker 11: him about raising six kids, and he started to talk
- 48:04Speaker 11: about how his wife was the reason that he's able
- 48:07Speaker 11: to do the job that he's able to do and
- 48:09Speaker 11: why they're in the national Championship now, and I think
- 48:11Speaker 11: people want to hear that. So for me being able
- 48:14Speaker 11: to do this with my wife is something that's truly special,
- 48:16Speaker 11: and I think that she would probably say the same
- 48:19Speaker 11: thing that when things hit the fan, we looked at
- 48:21Speaker 11: each other and said, let's just do this together. And
- 48:24Speaker 11: it's been a great journey so far.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Attitude.
- 48:25Speaker 2: It'll continue to.

- 48:36Speaker 1: awesome dude to be around, and I appreciate it. And
- 48:39Speaker 1: hopefully we get a great playoffs and maybe i'll see
- 48:41Speaker 1: you one damn person. Thank you very much.

- 49:45Speaker 1: Slash audio. I was watching some Auburn basketball and I
- 49:54Speaker 1: saw Janai got hurt. He did well, he has like
- 49:58Speaker 1: a few days ago, like friend's ankles so bad, like
- 50:01Speaker 1: a non surgical really terrible ankle sprain. So we did
- 50:05Speaker 1: too much access with Auburn basketball last year and Jenny Broom,
- 50:08Speaker 1: their star, like had a bad, bad sprain. They thought
- 50:11Speaker 1: it could have been a lot worse. But he's out
- 50:12Speaker 1: for I think a while. Here weather Man read, do
- 50:15Speaker 1: you mind seeing how long Journey's out? Not that he listen.
- 50:17Speaker 1: It sucks being an Arkansas fan right now. Our football
- 50:20Speaker 1: team and our basketball team we're zero and four sec play.
- 50:24Speaker 1: It's terrible. So I found myself on an SC network
- 50:28Speaker 1: watching Auburn.
- 50:29Speaker 5: They're really good, right, really.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Good, and I don't hate him, and we spent time
- 50:33Speaker 1: with coach Pearl and played on that court. Aubert's not
- 50:36Speaker 1: hateable anyway, unless you're Alabama. Like they're not like Arrival.
- 50:40Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 50:40Speaker 1: There's just something that's not detestable about Auburn. So Charles
- 50:45Speaker 1: Barkley love too right, No, no, no, do you ever
- 50:48Speaker 1: hear Charles Barkley talk about why I picked Auburn. No,
- 50:50Speaker 1: because he went on his recruiting trip and they all
- 50:53Speaker 1: sucked and he's like, well, I can play here. He
- 50:57Speaker 1: watched him practice and it's like these guys sucked hilarious
- 50:59Speaker 1: because he only got recruited, like all he didn't get
- 51:01Speaker 1: because he didn't grow until late, like he didn't turn
- 51:04Speaker 1: to the le Bloomer. Yeah, but he went to Auburn
- 51:08Speaker 1: practice and thought they sucked and was like, oh, I
- 51:11Speaker 1: can play here, and that's why he went to Auburnan
- 51:13Speaker 1: which is funny.
- 51:14Speaker 9: Says right now he's out indefinitely.
- 51:17Speaker 1: Jennier out, not good. Eddie thinks he may be stronger
- 51:21Speaker 1: than kick off. Kevin saw it, So let me just
- 51:27Speaker 1: resets real quick. We were working out and there's a
- 51:32Speaker 1: one hundred pound ball that you have to lift up
- 51:35Speaker 1: and throw over your shoulder. It's one hundred pounds. It
- 51:37Speaker 1: is a heavy ball. It's way heavier than it looks.
- 51:40Speaker 1: It is concentrated one hundred pounds into a ball. Don't
- 51:44Speaker 1: even know what's in there, but it's heavy. Punds good point,
- 51:48Speaker 1: like what's in there? How can you make that size
- 51:50Speaker 1: thing that heavy?
- 51:51Speaker 3: And what I don't understand is the fifty pound ball
- 51:54Speaker 3: is just a little smaller than the hundred pound ball,
- 51:56Speaker 3: but it weighs double the weight.
- 52:00Speaker 1: So we had finished recording lots to say our NFL show,
- 52:04Speaker 1: and Kevin produces that, and so Kevin stayed back and
- 52:08Speaker 1: he's doing whatever the audio I don't know, mail it
- 52:11Speaker 1: to somebody whatever, he does lick at the microphone. I
- 52:14Speaker 1: don't know what he does, but all I know is
- 52:16Speaker 1: I left to go and meet up with Eddie, read shoots,
- 52:20Speaker 1: lots to say, and we start working out, and a
- 52:23Speaker 1: third the way through the workout, clues like, all right,
- 52:25Speaker 1: here's one hundred pounds ball boom. Kevin is walking through.
- 52:29Speaker 1: Kevin's in great shape, Kevin's very strong, and they start
- 52:32Speaker 1: to like tease, Kevin, can you do it? Kevin? Come on,
- 52:35Speaker 1: ket and I feel bad for Kevin. Kevin's in jeans,
- 52:38Speaker 1: he got a hat on, and I know the pressure
- 52:41Speaker 1: that Kevin what feels because Kevin's like in shape and
- 52:44Speaker 1: got muscles, and he you guys are pushing him. I
- 52:46Speaker 1: wasn't pushing you. I thought you weren't stretched. I did
- 52:49Speaker 1: not want to put you in that situation. But Kevin's like,
- 52:51Speaker 1: I'll do it, let's go. Yeah, And so Kevin does it,
- 52:53Speaker 1: and I don't know what you get. Four one. He
- 52:57Speaker 1: just did it one time.
- 52:58Speaker 5: I just did it one time just to see what
- 52:59Speaker 5: it was like.
- 53:00Speaker 1: And it was heavy, but also you were not in
- 53:02Speaker 1: a place to where you were loose enough to give.
- 53:05Speaker 5: It a real go no, And it was like twenty
- 53:07Speaker 5: degrees out.
- 53:08Speaker 1: Well, but we were also out in the twenty degrees.
- 53:10Speaker 4: Yeah, but you guys are like a half hour into
- 53:11Speaker 4: your workout, you're sweating, yes, and all that.
- 53:13Speaker 1: All that I agree with. Yeah, but Eddie thinks he's
- 53:16Speaker 1: stronger than you because he watched you do it once cold.
- 53:19Speaker 3: I did it what five times? Six times?
- 53:21Speaker 1: You didn't do it six, So let's not I'm crazy.
- 53:23Speaker 5: It was it was your record, whatever it was.
- 53:25Speaker 1: Your record was five.
- 53:26Speaker 3: Probably five then yeah, five man, But I was feeling strong.
- 53:29Speaker 1: Nothing to do with Kevin. That doesn't mean you're stronger
- 53:32Speaker 1: than him. You you had done it before one other time. Yeah, yeah,
- 53:35Speaker 1: and the environment to you you were loose. You had
- 53:39Speaker 1: done it with a fifty pound ball to get.
- 53:41Speaker 3: Loose warmed up a little bit.
- 53:42Speaker 1: Yeah, it was unfair for you to say that you're
- 53:44Speaker 1: stronger than him.
- 53:44Speaker 3: Well, you know, you look at Kevin and like you said,
- 53:47Speaker 3: he's he's a pretty ripped dude, like he's looks built
- 53:50Speaker 3: and everything. And when when he got down there to
- 53:53Speaker 3: pick up the ball, it was kind of slow.
- 53:55Speaker 4: He was in jeans, dude, yeah, sneakers yeah, and like
- 53:58Speaker 4: a big old flannel only get a good grip on
- 54:00Speaker 4: it and a hat.
- 54:01Speaker 5: See I didn't get the grip underneath.
- 54:03Speaker 1: I quote Kevin might be the weakest out of all that.
- 54:08Speaker 3: You did not because read how many did you get?
- 54:10Speaker 1: I got?
- 54:11Speaker 3: I got?
- 54:12Speaker 9: I got six, but it was technically five.
- 54:14Speaker 1: You did not get six. It was a minute in
- 54:16Speaker 1: three second inflating our stats here, I will not allow it.
- 54:18Speaker 1: This is not the steroid era, So to be clear,
- 54:20Speaker 1: it's it's six and one minute.
- 54:22Speaker 4: You have to beat yeah, fifty nine point nine seconds. Yeah,
- 54:25Speaker 4: so I didn't do one in one minute. I just
- 54:27Speaker 4: didn't one just because you guys are like, hey, just
- 54:29Speaker 4: try one.
- 54:29Speaker 3: Pretty sure it took you about thirty seconds.
- 54:31Speaker 1: To do what this was his instruction. Yeah, I don't
- 54:34Speaker 1: need to send up for you because it Yeah, I
- 54:36Speaker 1: have faith in you.
- 54:37Speaker 3: I'm just saying when I saw Kevin do his thing,
- 54:40Speaker 3: in my mind, I'm like, wow, he's not that not
- 54:42Speaker 3: as strong as I thought he was. And then I
- 54:44Speaker 3: saw us do the five both you did seven, and
- 54:47Speaker 3: then under a minu I'm like, gosh, I think Kevin
- 54:49Speaker 3: may be the weakest out of all of it.
- 54:50Speaker 4: So you can base that off of just one rep
- 54:52Speaker 4: of anything in jeans and jeans, Yeah, cold.
- 54:55Speaker 3: I feel like if Arnold schwarz and they were win
- 54:57Speaker 3: showed up, he would have gotten that ball. And yeah,
- 55:00Speaker 3: and then this is not heavy.
- 55:02Speaker 4: But you like struggling well, comparing me to Arnold Schwartzenegger,
- 55:08Speaker 4: I don't know how comparable that is when it comes
- 55:11Speaker 4: to strength.
- 55:12Speaker 3: Not in bodes, you don't think a little bit.
- 55:13Speaker 1: I thought I thought you were very wrong for that, okay,
- 55:16Speaker 1: And I think that Kevin is stronger than probably all
- 55:18Speaker 1: of us. Dang.
- 55:19Speaker 4: I was over there rooting Eddie on and all that
- 55:21Speaker 4: while he was getting his Hey, if I wasn't there
- 55:23Speaker 4: rooting you on, or if I wasn't putting that pressure
- 55:25Speaker 4: on you, you think you would have gotten your new
- 55:26Speaker 4: pr Yeah, I don't know.
- 55:28Speaker 3: Maybe not.
- 55:28Speaker 1: I think you got a little pumped up. There was
- 55:30Speaker 1: a new audience, so I help you, and then you
- 55:33Speaker 1: just knock me down home. I didn't even get the
- 55:34Speaker 1: new audience. I don't think Kevin even watched me.
- 55:37Speaker 3: Did you watch bum Yeah I did.
- 55:38Speaker 7: I did.
- 55:39Speaker 5: But that's right when I was walking up, You're like,
- 55:40Speaker 5: we're in the middle of he was peeking.
- 55:42Speaker 1: Yeah, he's giving me the O come up to the
- 55:44Speaker 1: window late at night.
- 55:45Speaker 5: Look at I's tell you guys from a distance, I
- 55:47Speaker 5: didn't see what's going on.
- 55:48Speaker 1: Someday, Vin, Someday, I got seven, which for me is
- 55:51Speaker 1: my record. And I'm telling you your heart is pounding
- 55:53Speaker 1: out of your chest doing his crab. I think that
- 55:55Speaker 1: ball is heaviest crab.
- 55:56Speaker 4: The hardest part is yeah, picking it up, deadlifting it
- 55:58Speaker 4: and then squatting back down, get in the right grips.
- 56:00Speaker 1: All that jeans I know, I do want to do this.
- 56:04Speaker 1: I want to play a clip here. We had Ian
- 56:05Speaker 1: Rappaport on Lots to Say, And so if you go
- 56:08Speaker 1: over and you google, I guess not Google, but if
- 56:10Speaker 1: you search wherever you podcast Lots to Say. It's Matt
- 56:12Speaker 1: Cassel and myself and we were talking about the latest
- 56:15Speaker 1: coaching situation in Dallas, if the Vikings will keep Sam Darnold, etc.
- 56:18Speaker 1: So here's a clip from Lots to say, what do.
- 56:21Speaker 8: You think is the most attractive job in your opinion
- 56:25Speaker 8: for any of these head coaches that are coming out
- 56:26Speaker 8: because obviously the Jets there there are going to sit
- 56:29Speaker 8: there and you don't know if Aaron Rodgers is coming back.
- 56:32Speaker 8: The pieces in Chicago are very attractive. Jacksonville as well,
- 56:35Speaker 8: with their team, the youth that they have and a
- 56:38Speaker 8: quarterback that obviously has had really high highs but really
- 56:42Speaker 8: low a lot of lows as well, well.
- 56:46Speaker 7: I would say to me, will include the Patriots in that,
- 56:49Speaker 7: even though it's already been filled. The only thing you're
- 56:51Speaker 7: really looking for if you're a coach taken over for
- 56:54Speaker 7: taking over a job is can you win? Like?
- 56:57Speaker 1: Can you win?
- 56:58Speaker 7: What's the infrastructure? Like what are you inheriting? Can you win?
- 57:02Speaker 7: And I think most times during this time of year,
- 57:07Speaker 7: you're kind of like, uh, well, yeah, like I do
- 57:11Speaker 7: want a job, but they don't have a quarterback, or
- 57:14Speaker 7: they're in bad salary cap space, or like they got
- 57:17Speaker 7: to rebuild. Like there's actually a surprising number of places
- 57:21Speaker 7: this year where you could go in and win, Like
- 57:24Speaker 7: Chicago has a quarterback, Like do they need some work?
- 57:27Speaker 7: Yeah they do, but they got a guy. Jacksonville, I
- 57:32Speaker 7: believe has a guy. Is Trevor Lawrence is going to
- 57:34Speaker 7: be Patrick Mahomes? Probably not, but you know, could he
- 57:39Speaker 7: be starting for a playoff team with some better coaching
- 57:41Speaker 7: like he could and he has been like he has.
- 57:45Speaker 8: Right and divisionally right, it's probably when you look at
- 57:48Speaker 8: Jacksonville and the division that they're in.
- 57:50Speaker 2: They can go in and win. Now.
- 57:53Speaker 7: Well, yeah, and like if you look at the roster, like,
- 57:55Speaker 7: they got some pieces. They got three good receivers, they
- 57:58Speaker 7: got a good tight end, they got a good young
- 58:00Speaker 7: offensive line, a tat left tackle who's locked up. They
- 58:03Speaker 7: got a couple of really good pieces off the edge.
- 58:05Speaker 7: And defense, they got a good back end. They have
- 58:07Speaker 7: a highly paid corner. They have a really good linebacker
- 58:10Speaker 7: who's the first round pick. I mean, that's a lot
- 58:12Speaker 7: of good players, right, so and then you know, so
- 58:15Speaker 7: I think those are some of the better ones, and
- 58:18Speaker 7: a surprising number in Dallas. It's like if you're the
- 58:21Speaker 7: Dallas Cowboys head coach, it's a lot okay, Like I
- 58:24Speaker 7: can't even It's like almost nothing else in sports where
- 58:29Speaker 7: you're the head coach slash spokesman, slash Carnival Barker slash
- 58:34Speaker 7: you know, frontman, like all of the things. Just it's
- 58:38Speaker 7: like it's the most all encompassing coach job in sports.
- 58:42Speaker 7: I can't compare it to anything else. But they got
- 58:46Speaker 7: Dak Prescott, they got a good offensive line with some
- 58:49Speaker 7: good young pieces. They got some great receivers. They got
- 58:53Speaker 7: Micah Parsons and a couple all pro corners, like they
- 58:57Speaker 7: got some dudes so you can win there. The toughest
- 59:01Speaker 7: one for me, which may eventually end up being Ben
- 59:04Speaker 7: Johnson's shop, is Las Vegas, but they have Tom Brady
- 59:09Speaker 7: and that in itself for people who like to be
- 59:12Speaker 7: associated with people who are awesome, it's a pretty interesting
- 59:17Speaker 7: place as well.
- 59:18Speaker 3: Well.
- 59:18Speaker 1: The Vikings lost to the Rams. Have any say on
- 59:21Speaker 1: what the Vikings do with Sam Donald or did they
- 59:24Speaker 1: already know?
- 59:27Speaker 7: You know, I would say the Lions game was tough,
- 59:35Speaker 7: and if you were wondering whether or not that was
- 59:38Speaker 7: an anomaly, Donald followed it up with the playoff game
- 59:42Speaker 7: last night, so it's like that game alone wasn't anything
- 59:46Speaker 7: but those two games and then it's almost like the
- 59:49Speaker 7: Sam Donald detractor spent the whole season waiting for that,
- 59:53Speaker 7: being like, all right, well, eventually he's going to turn
- 59:55Speaker 7: into Sam Donald, and then when he did, it's like
- 59:58Speaker 7: every Jets fan in the world text bank yup, I've
- 1:00:00Speaker 7: seen that guy before, and I'm like, I get it,
- 1:00:02Speaker 7: Like everyone wants to say, I told you so. I
- 1:00:06Speaker 7: think a long run in the playoffs would have really
- 1:00:08Speaker 7: helped him. I don't think it means he's not going
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: to be able to get a starting job next year.
- 1:00:13Speaker 7: But it does alter the landscape a little bit, like
- 1:00:16Speaker 7: if you're Minnesota, are you a little little, little little
- 1:00:20Speaker 7: less likely to give him a long term deal? Maybe
- 1:00:23Speaker 7: you want to give him the franchise tag instead, or
- 1:00:25Speaker 7: maybe you want to say, you know what, I've seen
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: the good, I've seen the bad. It's just not enough
- 1:00:30Speaker 7: and we got a young guy we're just going to roll.
- 1:00:34Speaker 7: I think it probably at the very least made them
- 1:00:37Speaker 7: think about, all right, like what really are our options
- 1:00:42Speaker 7: rather than like, this is our franchise quarterback, let's move again.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Subscribe to that. We appreciate you listening here. If you
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: want to listen there, that would be super cool.
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: They crazy, though, huh, like crazy. I talked about Dion
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: and now it's like a possibility kind of a thing.
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: Yeah, you leak the story.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: You think you had anything to do with it.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: I just felt like I said it, you know, just
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: kind of like that would be cool. And immediately after that,
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: like it became like, wow, they had a conversation. Now
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: Dion is having a conversation with Jerry Jones. This is crazy.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Where do you get credit for any single thing that happened?
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: Because I feel like your tone is giving you some
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: sort of credit.
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: No, it's kind of cool, Like you know, you come
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: on here and we talk about a lot of stuff,
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: and we're wrong a lot, but whenever you're right like this,
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: like and then you turn on ESPN and they're having
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: the same conversation that you just came up with like
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: an hour ago, it's pretty cool.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: Okay, you know what I'm saying. I would push back.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: You guys were laughing at no, no, no, no. I
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: didn't even know he had been fired.
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: So true.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: We came on and I hadn't seen the news that
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: morning because we were running. I was running back to
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: back with interviews with the show, and you were like,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: McCarthy's been fired. I'm like, what, that's crazy. You can
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: listen back to it, and then I think any rational
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: person would go, oh, I wonder if Deon Sanders is
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: going to be No.
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: You said, so, what do you like think is going
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: to happen next? And I was like, I don't know.
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: It'd be cool to have Dion That's all I said.
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: He was he was listening, and then all of a sudden.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: I think you're missing the point that I think anybody
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: would have thought Dean Sanders would have been interviewed for
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: that job.
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: Really, because when when I would like, say, like other
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: dads like a basketball factors, They're like, yo, okay, do
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: you guys really want that? That's not a thing.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: I think there's a difference in would the Cowboys talked
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: to him and would you really want that? Yeah, it
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: doesn't matter.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: I hope pretty cool though.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: Yeah, And also Dion was in the Raiders conversation, right,
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: so it wasn't even that Dion wasn't in the NFL
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: world at all as a possibility down man.
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: I said something I think everyone else was saying.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: I think you just think you're stronger than Vin. Really
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: set me on. You just just respect like the work
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Kevin puts in to be strong. But you are getting
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: a lot stronger to look pretty good too.
- 1:02:47Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:02:48Speaker 9: I've lost a decent amount of weight.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: He read has by eating right and doing exercise on
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: the off days.
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: Yeah, consistency, what are you eating?
- 1:02:57Speaker 8: Like?
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: What's what's the difference?
- 1:02:58Speaker 10: So I wake up five eggs and then I do
- 1:03:01Speaker 10: ground turkey with uh, ground turkey with asparagus or broccoli?
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: Five eggs, five eggs? Do you eat them? I?
- 1:03:10Speaker 9: Switch it up.
- 1:03:12Speaker 10: I started out boiling them and then I was like,
- 1:03:14Speaker 10: this is too much, and then I started scrambling them.
- 1:03:17Speaker 10: And then now sometimes I do sunny sad up, but
- 1:03:20Speaker 10: it's just it's a lot of eggs.
- 1:03:21Speaker 7: By that.
- 1:03:21Speaker 9: By that fourth egg, I'm I'm sick of eggs.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:03:25Speaker 10: So I do the five eggs, and I do the
- 1:03:26Speaker 10: ground turkey, which is essentially just dog food that I
- 1:03:29Speaker 10: put ketchup on with some broccoli, and then do the
- 1:03:33Speaker 10: protein shake, and then I'll do like chicken and asparagus
- 1:03:36Speaker 10: or whatever for dinner.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: And you've stayed with it, Yeah, how's that pee?
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: After all that sparagus?
- 1:03:41Speaker 9: Dude, it is raunchy.
- 1:03:43Speaker 8: It is.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a real thing for you. Because I had
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: a sparagus A decent amount of mind. Doesn't smell about it.
- 1:03:46Speaker 8: Really.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Yeah, you think I said all day?
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: Wow, what like you're eating beets?
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: Yeah, and then like you go, I don't eat enough
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: beats to know. I'll eat beats occasionally on like a salad.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: I don't eat beats enough to like monitor my that
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: freaks me.
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: Out one time. Take me to the hospital. I am
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: dying this.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: We're proud of you, man, Thank you We're proud of you.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: All right, who wins straight winners.
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: At lifting one hundred pound ball?
- 1:04:16Speaker 5: Nope, coming sometime.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: Straight winners go this weekend, Kevin, go, Yeah.
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: You gotta go Chiefs, Lions, Eagles, and I'm gonna go
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: Josh Allen, I'm gonna go to the Bills.
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: It's his year.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: I will just do ditto. Marks. Those were all for
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: the same teams. I would have picked the same here.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: Thanks Eddie.
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: All Right, we gotta go Chiefs, and we've got to go.
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: I say, Ravens. Ravens win that, and then Eagles, And
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: this is.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: The switch my Eagles to the Rams.
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: Really, let's go.
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: That's definitely definitely a possible.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna switch my that's Rams are six point underdog.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: They given up almost a whole touchdown. I'm still gonna
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: go with the Ram. Am, I'm ramming it. I'm sorry
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: to interrupt.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: Go ahead. I got Eagles on that one though. And
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: then my big shocker is I think the Commanders beat
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: the Lions. Woh, Casey, I mean I gotta go with yeah,
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: case Detroit. I mean, I like Philly, so I'll probably
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: stick with Philly. And I'm leaning Baltimore. I really think
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: that Derrick Henry thing is gonna kind of change change
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: the outcome of this game.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: So the only thing I guess I would say is
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: the Derrick Henry thing changing the outcome of a game?
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: Is that a thing I think? Isn't that just like
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: a massive part of the game. I guess what I
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: really mean is Lamar getting over the hump. That's what
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: I feel like this new running back. You guys don't
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: know about Derrick Henry. We know, I'm like, that's sometimes my.
- 1:05:41Speaker 6: Words and my thoughts don't quite gel. And then what's
- 1:05:44Speaker 6: the thing that he's on the team and hard I don't.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Know that's thing, Like, what's the thing?
- 1:05:49Speaker 8: We know?
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: Every thing I feel you So mostly the thing that's
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: being changes Lamar and his success in the playoffs.
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: Yes, exactly, exactly.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: Okay, what'll be fun? That's it. Thank you all. There
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: is no update. We're all. I mean, I have five
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: people in for Super Bowl tickets. I mean, what about
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: this one hundred pound ball challenge?
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: Oh, don't start, Casey, you think.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: About that, not to say say I'm gonna get fifteen
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: of them, say not another word. I've talked to each
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: person individually, so they don't feel pressure, Casey, that's hilarious.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: Somebody's nice and I'm down first, I'm not involved, so
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: thank you all read. If people want to watch the show,
