Blue Velvet (1986) | Ep. 54 - Part 1
A studio gave David Lynch final cut on the condition he took a pay cut and worked cheap. The result is one of the most disturbing films ever made by a major distributor. Luke, Westy, and Matt begin the story.
In Part 1 we cover the film's opening, director David Lynch, the cast, and the second act — including the severed ear in the grass, Kyle MacLachlan's curious everyman, and the menace Dennis Hopper brings to Frank Booth.
