- 1:15Speaker 2: Sat Catharine's for Inequddo and Austin brought her live with
- 1:18Speaker 2: you of Elite Prospects to break down the Sabers three
- 1:21Speaker 2: to two victory in Game four of their second round
- 1:24Speaker 2: of playoff matchup against the Montreal Canadians on the road,
- 1:27Speaker 2: evening up the series two games of peas going back
- 1:30Speaker 2: to Buffalo on Thursday nights for Game five. Austin felt
- 1:35Speaker 2: like the sky was sort of falling after the last
- 1:37Speaker 2: two games, after the Sabers had been outscored eleven to
- 1:40Speaker 2: three and really looked all out of sorts in that
- 1:43Speaker 2: third game. But Lindy Ruff and the Sabers obviously had
- 1:47Speaker 2: a bounce back game. They got a little bit of
- 1:48Speaker 2: luck along the way, made some lineup changes and were
- 1:51Speaker 2: able to get the split in Montreal.
- 1:54Speaker 3: That right there at the end was the key, right
- 1:56Speaker 3: because obviously going down to one is not necessarily the
- 2:01Speaker 3: end of the world. Going down to one in the
- 2:03Speaker 3: fashion that they went down to one was obviously atrocious.
- 2:08Speaker 3: But I always had the mentality, even after you know,
- 2:10Speaker 3: splitting at home, all you had to do was just
- 2:13Speaker 3: take one in monthly at all and the series would
- 2:15Speaker 3: have a new life. So I did my best to
- 2:17Speaker 3: kind of stay even keeled over the last couple you
- 2:20Speaker 3: know days, even though I understand why nobody wanted to
- 2:25Speaker 3: because it was really bad, like there was no reason
- 2:27Speaker 3: to be confident in this team after games two and three,
- 2:32Speaker 3: especially Game three. Game two I think was a little
- 2:34Speaker 3: bit of some bad plays at the at a bad time,
- 2:38Speaker 3: and the penalty kill was really bad and the power
- 2:40Speaker 3: players really bad, but I felt like they were still okay.
- 2:44Speaker 3: But that first game in Montreal, especially after the start
- 2:46Speaker 3: that they had, it kind of just went off the
- 2:48Speaker 3: rails fast and they were not really able to bounce back.
- 2:51Speaker 3: But they still found themselves in a chance tonight just
- 2:55Speaker 3: win this game and you're going back to Buffalo tied
- 2:57Speaker 3: to two, and they found a way to get it done.
- 2:59Speaker 3: And I hope that not only for the fans, but
- 3:02Speaker 3: for the team they can all kind of sit back,
- 3:04Speaker 3: take a breather, and be like, all right, new series
- 3:06Speaker 3: starting now, because that's kind of where that's where they
- 3:08Speaker 3: sit now, best two out of three going forward.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Yeah, Luckily Game three was only one game, right, and
- 3:14Speaker 2: you know, it was an atrocious Game three, and they
- 3:16Speaker 2: were able to have some adversity and be able to
- 3:18Speaker 2: bounce back tonight. Again, they got some help from you
- 3:21Speaker 2: know a little bit of lucky breaks here and there,
- 3:23Speaker 2: but they played a much better game than they did
- 3:26Speaker 2: in Game three, and again that was a really a
- 3:28Speaker 2: must win. I know that's a term that's thrown around
- 3:31Speaker 2: a lot Austin and we you know, laugh about it too,
- 3:34Speaker 2: but it felt like if you went down three to
- 3:35Speaker 2: one and had to win the next three, that would
- 3:37Speaker 2: have been really hard to overcome.
- 3:38Speaker 1: And right now, now you feel better.
- 3:40Speaker 2: You're going back home for the next two or three
- 3:42Speaker 2: and you know, at the very least you'll have an
- 3:44Speaker 2: opportunity to reach a game six.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Yeah. Absolutely, that's that's the key right there. Not only
- 3:49Speaker 3: are you tied, but you're tied, and now you come
- 3:51Speaker 3: home right like, say what we want? You know nothing.
- 3:55Speaker 3: The Montreal building is insane, so being able to split
- 3:59Speaker 3: in there and I know that the Montreal didn't, you know,
- 4:01Speaker 3: win every home game in the first round either, but
- 4:04Speaker 3: that environment is crazy. And when you're able to kind
- 4:07Speaker 3: of reset yourself, take one of those games, and now
- 4:10Speaker 3: you get to go back home with a fresher, better
- 4:13Speaker 3: look and you feel a little bit better about yourself.
- 4:17Speaker 3: They definitely played better today. There are still some glaring
- 4:20Speaker 3: concerns that I think need to be addressed, but winning
- 4:23Speaker 3: this game was huge. Winning the way that they were
- 4:25Speaker 3: able to win this game was huge. Overcoming some of
- 4:28Speaker 3: the things that happened tonight, whether it was mental mistakes,
- 4:31Speaker 3: whether it was weird calls by the ref, whether it
- 4:34Speaker 3: was a shaky start by your starting goalie who you
- 4:37Speaker 3: just went to, you know what I mean, Like there
- 4:40Speaker 3: was it was a lot of weird weirdness tonight and
- 4:42Speaker 3: Buffalo being able to overcome that and steady this series
- 4:47Speaker 3: up is huge. And I mean there's no doubt about
- 4:51Speaker 3: who's been the best players for the Sabers in this round,
- 4:54Speaker 3: and those guys continue to be the best players. And
- 4:57Speaker 3: these are the guys that are gonna have to steady
- 4:59Speaker 3: the ship for the same as well. The big guys
- 5:01Speaker 3: kind of find their footing in the series. But they've
- 5:03Speaker 3: given them a golden opportunity. You know, you're going at
- 5:07Speaker 3: guaranteed two more games, one of them at home. Potentially,
- 5:13Speaker 3: we can probably get into it because I'm about to
- 5:15Speaker 3: say a bunch of stuff about the officiating and a
- 5:17Speaker 3: bunch of stuff about some of the things that went down,
- 5:20Speaker 3: but I'll wait till we kind of delve into the
- 5:21Speaker 3: game here. But just crucial, crucial win for these guys
- 5:24Speaker 3: and hopefully they they've kind of settled themselves and realized
- 5:30Speaker 3: that you don't have to have an overreaction as a
- 5:34Speaker 3: as a team and as a fan base. You just
- 5:37Speaker 3: need to lock in and fight through things. It's a
- 5:41Speaker 3: serious there's a reason it's a series. I understand why
- 5:44Speaker 3: everyone was so down after being down to one, but
- 5:46Speaker 3: this is why you got to win four games and
- 5:48Speaker 3: the Sabers responded very very well, and that's all that matters.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Yeah, the highs and lows of a seven game series, right,
- 5:55Speaker 2: you got to battle through it. I just quickly want
- 5:57Speaker 2: to throw up the statistic because it's a tough one
- 6:00Speaker 2: for the Sabers. You know, most series losses without a
- 6:04Speaker 2: series win when trailing two games to one and the
- 6:07Speaker 2: best of seven, the Sabers have fourteen all time. Nashville
- 6:10Speaker 2: is second with twelve. So again, the history not in
- 6:13Speaker 2: the Sabers favor, but they do get this one tied up.
- 6:15Speaker 2: But I had ESPN posted that graphic earlier today and
- 6:18Speaker 2: I figured it was a funny one to bring up
- 6:20Speaker 2: to put Regardless of what happened tonight, the lineup is
- 6:23Speaker 2: a big topic of discussion Austin that we want to
- 6:25Speaker 2: just rattle off here.
- 6:26Speaker 1: First, we know what sort of happened there. Keric not
- 6:28Speaker 1: in the lineup.
- 6:29Speaker 2: We don't know if that was injury related after he
- 6:31Speaker 2: took that shot at the end of the game from JACKI,
- 6:33Speaker 2: or if it was just Lindy Rough looking for some
- 6:35Speaker 2: more offense, getting consta Helenius in the lineup. Ryan McLeod
- 6:38Speaker 2: got moved down to the fourth line center role. You
- 6:40Speaker 2: had Luke Shen come in for Logan Stanley, a more
- 6:43Speaker 2: of a veteran look there. I'm glad that they didn't
- 6:45Speaker 2: stick with the Stanley and Shen pering. They let Timmins
- 6:48Speaker 2: remain in the lineup there, which I think was big
- 6:50Speaker 2: at times with with sheltering Shen's minutes. And then Luken
- 6:53Speaker 2: in as you mentioned off the top, got the start
- 6:55Speaker 2: in net for Lion. You haven't seen him since the
- 6:57Speaker 2: second game against Boston where he lost coming off the
- 7:00Speaker 2: game one victory. But again, these guys have split basically
- 7:03Speaker 2: all year and Ruff's rode the hot hand with Lucan
- 7:06Speaker 2: and Ellis and Lion all season long. It hasn't really
- 7:10Speaker 2: been one guy taking the load. And now Lucanan comes
- 7:12Speaker 2: in in a tough situation really you must win for
- 7:15Speaker 2: the team, and he's able to get it done and
- 7:17Speaker 2: was the first start tonight.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Yeah, we kind of set it after the Bruins series.
- 7:22Speaker 3: We both were under like we both did not think
- 7:24Speaker 3: that that was the last we were going to see Lucanan. Honestly,
- 7:29Speaker 3: this was one of the moves that I did not anticipate,
- 7:32Speaker 3: mostly because the way Ruff was talking, you know, didn't
- 7:37Speaker 3: love lyon in games two or three. But far from
- 7:39Speaker 3: the problem. In Games two and three, Lucan and I
- 7:44Speaker 3: thought after the first period really settled into the game
- 7:47Speaker 3: and played extreamly well. I thought it was an abysmal
- 7:49Speaker 3: first period by him. Obviously, that first goal just a
- 7:54Speaker 3: complete defensive breakdown in front of him, which is kind
- 7:56Speaker 3: of been the theme for the Sabers in this series.
- 7:58Speaker 3: So I don't want to blame that all on him
- 8:00Speaker 3: at all. But just that second goal that Coffield scored
- 8:05Speaker 3: on the power play was just the classic thing of
- 8:07Speaker 3: the difference between Lucanan and Lion. Lucanan, with his size
- 8:11Speaker 3: and athleticism, is so big and can move so quickly
- 8:14Speaker 3: through the crease, but he's so overly aggressive, and he
- 8:16Speaker 3: literally lifted his pads off the ice and just allowed
- 8:18Speaker 3: Coffield to slide it in. Now, don't get me wrong,
- 8:21Speaker 3: the team put him in a really bad spot by
- 8:22Speaker 3: taking dumb penalties. We could talk about if that tage
- 8:25Speaker 3: penalty in the first period was actually warranted of a
- 8:27Speaker 3: penalty that's beside the point, it was still a penalty,
- 8:31Speaker 3: and to just I thought he was shaky. I thought
- 8:34Speaker 3: he was the Ucapecca Lucanan that we saw in that
- 8:37Speaker 3: second Bruins game. But then the second period hit and
- 8:41Speaker 3: he just eased himself into that game and made some huge,
- 8:44Speaker 3: huge saves on Coffield on another power play, you know,
- 8:48Speaker 3: whether it was the cross ice one time or where
- 8:52Speaker 3: he slid over and made a huge stay, like he
- 8:53Speaker 3: just he settled himself into that game so nicely and
- 8:55Speaker 3: started looking more like the Uca Pecca Lucan that was
- 8:57Speaker 3: playing down the stretch. And I think that's huge for
- 8:59Speaker 3: him for him going forward, because if we know anything
- 9:02Speaker 3: about Lindy Rough, we know who's starting the next game,
- 9:05Speaker 3: or at least we can safely assume who started next game,
- 9:06Speaker 3: and it's gonna be ukupecka.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Lucan in Yeah.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I mean he said that game was not online in
- 9:10Speaker 2: game three, but he ended up going to Lucan in
- 9:13Speaker 2: in game four today and even with the lines at
- 9:16Speaker 2: practice with stan Leyod he goes, how do you know
- 9:18Speaker 2: that Schen's playing? So he's it's games have been ship right,
- 9:21Speaker 2: like it's part of playoffs, I guess, But Ruff's been
- 9:24Speaker 2: doing this all season long with you know, just a
- 9:26Speaker 2: flip flopping, I guess, with certain certain lineup decisions things
- 9:30Speaker 2: like that. But yeah, I mean we'll get into it
- 9:32Speaker 2: with the scoring summary and stuff. Lucan In you know,
- 9:35Speaker 2: settled in after that that first period there. Let's start
- 9:38Speaker 2: off with the game stats is always brought to you
- 9:39Speaker 2: by Janel Flooring. If thin get a better deal anywhere
- 9:41Speaker 2: else you don't know, Jack, check him out a Janel
- 9:43Speaker 2: Flooring dot Com visitor Niagar Falls location to be in
- 9:45Speaker 2: your quality flooring project today, Austin, do you have anything
- 9:47Speaker 2: you want to mention from the game stats?
- 9:49Speaker 1: Tonight Sabers outshot thirty to twenty two.
- 9:51Speaker 2: They outshoot Montreal in the first but get out shot
- 9:54Speaker 2: in the last two periods.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Their face off percentage was a lot better today.
- 9:57Speaker 2: They were fifty two point five per sent to Montreal's
- 10:00Speaker 2: forty seven. That was a big point of emphasis. They
- 10:03Speaker 2: were only thirty seven percent last game. The power play
- 10:06Speaker 2: obviously has started to come to life now after it
- 10:08Speaker 2: was so abysmal for a long period of time.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Two for four tonight.
- 10:11Speaker 2: The penalty kill goes six for seven, which is massive
- 10:14Speaker 2: against a great you know, power play unit that Montreal
- 10:16Speaker 2: can throw out there. And then Sabers had six takeaways
- 10:19Speaker 2: and twenty seven block shots to Montreal's only six. And
- 10:23Speaker 2: there was a couple of big ones at the end
- 10:24Speaker 2: by Timmins and Samuelson to keep the lead alive for
- 10:27Speaker 2: the Sabers.
- 10:27Speaker 1: But anything you want to mention there tonight, yeah, I.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Mean, it's let's just highlight the two the face offs
- 10:33Speaker 3: and the power play, right. I guess penalty kill you
- 10:36Speaker 3: can do too, because they were they were six for seven.
- 10:38Speaker 3: But the face offs and the power play were huge today, right.
- 10:42Speaker 3: The power play you went through for four, getting the
- 10:45Speaker 3: game tying, game winning goals big, even if the second
- 10:48Speaker 3: goal was pere puck cluck, but you know what that happens.
- 10:51Speaker 3: But the face offs was big. It's I am a
- 10:53Speaker 3: very outspoken face offs matter, but I don't get two
- 10:58Speaker 3: worked up about them. But in a game like this,
- 11:01Speaker 3: in a game where, even in a series like this,
- 11:04Speaker 3: where you're playing a team that has you know, equal to,
- 11:08Speaker 3: if not better speed than you, and equal skill than you,
- 11:11Speaker 3: you don't want to be chasing the puck, particularly on
- 11:14Speaker 3: the power play. So for the face offs to be
- 11:16Speaker 3: a plus for the Sabers, and for the power play
- 11:18Speaker 3: to be an advantaged today can't be overstated to how
- 11:21Speaker 3: important it probably was tonight. And getting real specific, I
- 11:25Speaker 3: thought Constant Helenius was really good on face offs, which
- 11:27Speaker 3: is very notable for a twenty year old rookie in
- 11:29Speaker 3: his playoff debut. So those are two that are obviously big,
- 11:33Speaker 3: and the shop block being that heavily favored towards the
- 11:37Speaker 3: Savers can be one of two things. I'm gonna choose
- 11:40Speaker 3: to view it as a positive today. They're getting bodies
- 11:43Speaker 3: on shots and Connord Timmins is a guy that we've
- 11:45Speaker 3: seen that do that regularly, making key blocks. So just overall,
- 11:50Speaker 3: those are the stats that people always harp on, especially
- 11:53Speaker 3: with the Sabers team. Right the power play has been
- 11:54Speaker 3: bad face offs, We're just notoriously awful at it, So
- 11:57Speaker 3: for those to be in the Sabers favor tonight can't
- 12:00Speaker 3: You just can't overstate how important that was to them
- 12:02Speaker 3: getting to win.
- 12:03Speaker 2: And I think it's correlated, right, because when they lose
- 12:05Speaker 2: the face off, they have a tough time getting the
- 12:07Speaker 2: zone entry and the power play, and that has been
- 12:09Speaker 2: a result of the struggle as of late.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, I mean that the biggest issue with the
- 12:15Speaker 3: power Play unit now like is the entries, and it's
- 12:18Speaker 3: always gonna be the entries. I thought before rough kind
- 12:20Speaker 3: of switched to the units that we're seeing now. The
- 12:23Speaker 3: whole power play was awful, but watching that Benson and
- 12:26Speaker 3: Thompson like that top unit work the last game and
- 12:28Speaker 3: a half two games, you can see that they're very
- 12:31Speaker 3: good unit once they get the puck in the zone,
- 12:33Speaker 3: but because of their face off issues, they aren't able
- 12:36Speaker 3: to stay in the zone and because their entries are
- 12:38Speaker 3: so abysmal, and so just watching the entries from Buffalo
- 12:42Speaker 3: to Montreal, it's just insane how dumb the saber strategy
- 12:45Speaker 3: is and how poorly they execute it. So yeah, getting
- 12:49Speaker 3: ahead on the face offs is a big thing for
- 12:51Speaker 3: this power play and will be a big factor for
- 12:53Speaker 3: the power Play especially in this series.
- 12:55Speaker 2: The scoring summary is brought to you by the Nagar

- 13:02Speaker 2: dot O and dot seed to find your next work opportunity.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Today wasn't quite fifty five seconds in tonight Austin like
- 13:08Speaker 2: it was last game with Tage Thompson, but that game
- 13:10Speaker 2: didn't end up turning in Buffalo's favor. But the Sabers
- 13:13Speaker 2: go up one nothing really good play by Don't Define
- 13:16Speaker 2: Norris and he goes cross ice to Missias Samuelson and
- 13:19Speaker 2: beating you know, jak Abdobish to be able to get
- 13:23Speaker 2: another lead on the road early. I mean, the Sabers
- 13:25Speaker 2: are now four and one on the road in the playoffs.
- 13:28Speaker 2: But that was big after you know, they were questioned
- 13:31Speaker 2: and ridiculed after that that third game.
- 13:33Speaker 1: But for Samrsen to come up with a with a big.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Goal after he had the big block before they transitioned
- 13:39Speaker 2: out of the zone to create that offensive opportunity, that
- 13:42Speaker 2: was a That was a big momentum boost for Buffalo
- 13:44Speaker 2: on the road.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Yeah. Absolutely, And that style of goal has been there
- 13:51Speaker 3: for the Sabers this entire series. Off the rush, the
- 13:54Speaker 3: cross ice passing, that's one area where you can really
- 13:57Speaker 3: get to jak Abdobish as good as he has been
- 13:58Speaker 3: in as steady as he has been. Obviously the same
- 14:01Speaker 3: for any goalie, but he, like Lukenan, is extremely aggressive
- 14:04Speaker 3: and athletic with his movement. So if you're able to
- 14:06Speaker 3: get him moving across ice, you can take advantage of it.
- 14:09Speaker 3: And if you look at the same as some goal
- 14:10Speaker 3: that started this off to night to a t if
- 14:12Speaker 3: you look at the some of the goals that the
- 14:13Speaker 3: Saber scored, especially in game one, that's how they were
- 14:16Speaker 3: able to get to Dobish. And even the Tage goal
- 14:20Speaker 3: in game game three, it wasn't a cross ice, but
- 14:22Speaker 3: it was he was over pursuing the puck and then
- 14:24Speaker 3: Tage was able to take advantage of it, banking it
- 14:26Speaker 3: and coming through the backside there. So that is a
- 14:29Speaker 3: goal that if Buffalo can try to mimic, I think
- 14:30Speaker 3: will be huge for them going forward in the series.
- 14:33Speaker 3: But yeah, scoring first in three out of four games
- 14:36Speaker 3: has been big starts in the first round. We're kind
- 14:39Speaker 3: of an issue for the Sabers. The starts haven't been
- 14:41Speaker 3: an issue for the Sabers in this round because they've
- 14:43Speaker 3: started hot in most of the games.
- 14:45Speaker 2: And then we thought it was too nothing and we're
- 14:47Speaker 2: not gonna spend as much time on it as this
- 14:48Speaker 2: the review took. But oh my goodness, Jack Wynn is
- 14:52Speaker 2: able to go on the backhand and beat yak Abdobish.
- 14:55Speaker 2: His glove looks to go into the net with the
- 14:57Speaker 2: puck and it crossed the line, reviewed it for over
- 15:00Speaker 2: six minutes. They did declare it a goal on the ice,
- 15:04Speaker 2: and then instantly Montreal challenged for goaltender interference because Constant
- 15:08Speaker 2: Hellnius swiped through the crease when the initial play happened
- 15:12Speaker 2: to result in the scramble to get Quinn the puck,
- 15:15Speaker 2: and then it was deemed that it was goaltender interference.
- 15:17Speaker 1: After that long delay, it.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Ended up taking about twelve minutes between the two delays
- 15:21Speaker 2: and the two reviews. It was ridiculously long of a time.
- 15:25Speaker 2: So it was called no goal, then a goal, and
- 15:28Speaker 2: then waved back because of goaltender interference. Lindy Ruff was
- 15:31Speaker 2: not happy about that call, and again the Sabers didn't
- 15:34Speaker 2: really let that let it dwell on them. But man,
- 15:37Speaker 2: it would have been nice to go up to nothing
- 15:38Speaker 2: in that sense, and they technically did, but they had
- 15:41Speaker 2: goaltender interference right beforehand.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Yeah, and again I won't spend too much time on it.
- 15:46Speaker 3: I think the goalie interference on Hellnius, because that's what
- 15:49Speaker 3: they ended up ruling. They ruled it on Helnius. I
- 15:51Speaker 3: thought that was a little ticky tack the sports Net
- 15:55Speaker 3: broadcast was just obsessed with Mattia Samuelson on this play,
- 15:58Speaker 3: which I thought was very funny because Gooley was in
- 16:01Speaker 3: between Dobish and Samuelson. So I don't don't really know
- 16:04Speaker 3: why they were so obsessed with Samuelson on that play.
- 16:07Speaker 3: That being said, I thought the Hellennious was tick attacked.
- 16:10Speaker 3: I would have understood it a little bit more if
- 16:12Speaker 3: they said, hey, Quinn stick pushed Dobis's glove and that's
- 16:14Speaker 3: why it went in, I wouldn't have liked it. But
- 16:16Speaker 3: like I could have understood that, I thought the Hellennious
- 16:18Speaker 3: one was a little bit ticky attacked because he had
- 16:20Speaker 3: possession of the puck, drove the crease. Did he make
- 16:22Speaker 3: some contact there, Yeah, sure, but I don't think in
- 16:24Speaker 3: any way, shape or formed. But that impeded, Yeah, Dobis's
- 16:27Speaker 3: ability to make the save. He wanted to know why,
- 16:29Speaker 3: because he made the save just so happens that his
- 16:31Speaker 3: puck went and his glove went into the net. So
- 16:34Speaker 3: that's why I thought that was a little bit whatever.
- 16:38Speaker 3: But yeah, from going up to nothing to then almost
- 16:42Speaker 3: immediately given not immediately, but giving bunch of y'all the
- 16:46Speaker 3: tying goal and then being down at the end of
- 16:48Speaker 3: the period. What a momentous thing that was and should
- 16:52Speaker 3: have been. But I'll give the Sabers credit. They did
- 16:54Speaker 3: not let it kill them when they pretty much could
- 16:57Speaker 3: have had any any reason to just be that, but
- 17:00Speaker 3: they were able to battle through it.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Yeah, as you mentioned, Montreal gets two goals new Hook.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Uh yeah, just.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Byram mountains apparently. Yeah, I mean, what is this eighth
- 17:10Speaker 2: goal the playoffs already six? Yeah, imagine if he was
- 17:14Speaker 2: still on Colorado too. I don't know, but Byram and
- 17:17Speaker 2: mountain Stein just collectively couldn't get that puck out, and
- 17:20Speaker 2: then yeah, I was able to kind of vary it
- 17:22Speaker 2: after the Jake Evans chance. And I'm not going to
- 17:25Speaker 2: blame Lucan in a ton on that one because the
- 17:27Speaker 2: Sabers should have been able to get that puck out.
- 17:29Speaker 2: You know, I'll I'll give fifty percent each to byrom
- 17:32Speaker 2: A Moleinstein on that one. But you know, that was
- 17:35Speaker 2: I don't know if the Sabers were just still a
- 17:36Speaker 2: little bit deflated after that second goal got called back
- 17:39Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden the game's tied, and
- 17:41Speaker 2: you know, it is what it is.
- 17:42Speaker 1: But you know, I just didn't like that. Uh, that
- 17:44Speaker 1: collectiveness there.
- 17:46Speaker 3: No, that goal against pretty much epitomizes every Saber's mistake
- 17:49Speaker 3: that they've made a series, and it's failure to get
- 17:51Speaker 3: the puck out in just abysmal net front coverage, failure
- 17:54Speaker 3: to get the puck out whatever puck ends up rating
- 17:57Speaker 3: the slot. I don't know if Lukenan got a piece
- 18:00Speaker 3: of it right away like on that first one, or
- 18:02Speaker 3: if they just missed the net. But then even after
- 18:05Speaker 3: the puck went behind the net, you saw I think
- 18:07Speaker 3: it was a McCloud and Byron both chased the guy
- 18:10Speaker 3: behind the net and then just leaving new Hook wide
- 18:12Speaker 3: open in front of the net. Samuelson was late to
- 18:14Speaker 3: react pucks in the back of the net. So just
- 18:18Speaker 3: that's just kind of how Montreal has been able to
- 18:20Speaker 3: take advantage of the Sabers in this series. And that
- 18:22Speaker 3: goal right there just again highlighting every major issue that
- 18:26Speaker 3: the Sabers have had, and that is something that Ruff
- 18:29Speaker 3: absolutely needs to be stressing. And I think it improved
- 18:33Speaker 3: a little bit more as this game went along, but
- 18:35Speaker 3: you're not going to be able to get away with
- 18:36Speaker 3: making these mistakes on a consistent basis, and that's a
- 18:38Speaker 3: big reason why the Sabers got hammered in games two
- 18:41Speaker 3: and three because they made these mistakes consistently.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Another thing that could have an irate Sabers team that
- 18:50Speaker 2: you know has had to battle through a lot of
- 18:52Speaker 2: you know, highs and lows of emotions. Zucker Drod drew
- 18:54Speaker 2: the penalty on the on carrier for the trips the
- 18:57Speaker 2: Savers out of power play and then Dallene gets called
- 18:59Speaker 2: for inner you're and so on gooli and he was
- 19:01Speaker 2: irate about it. It ends up being four on four
- 19:03Speaker 2: on that play, you know, just I know Darling's frustrated there.
- 19:07Speaker 2: But again, like technically on the in the rule book,
- 19:09Speaker 2: it is interference, so I don't know.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Yeah, there's there's there's two penalties in this game that
- 19:16Speaker 3: the Sabers took that I will call soft and ticky tack.
- 19:20Speaker 3: I think that was one of them. Now granted by definition,
- 19:24Speaker 3: could interference, right, he kept skating blah blah blah, set
- 19:29Speaker 3: a pick, tried to set a pick. We know what
- 19:31Speaker 3: he was trying to do there, because everyone does it.
- 19:33Speaker 3: And I think that's why I'm a little bit angry
- 19:35Speaker 3: with that one is because that's a play that just
- 19:37Speaker 3: everyone does unfortunately was it. I don't even think it
- 19:41Speaker 3: was that overly aggressive, but because Googie fell the way
- 19:44Speaker 3: that he fell, the ref called it. But yeah, it
- 19:49Speaker 3: is unfortunate because that was again a chance to capitalize
- 19:53Speaker 3: on power play early and you killed it thirty seven
- 19:56Speaker 3: seconds in with the offensive zone penalty, which, whatever do
- 20:00Speaker 3: you think of the penalty itself. This team has taken
- 20:03Speaker 3: away too many offenses and penalties in this series, and
- 20:05Speaker 3: there were more that came after that dollying one, and
- 20:08Speaker 3: that's a killer.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Yeah, and they did it in Game three too, and
- 20:11Speaker 2: it was their detriment. And then you know, we saw
- 20:14Speaker 2: the Coffield goal, Thompson gets called for cross checking on Goolie.
- 20:17Speaker 3: I don't like that one either.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I know you're you're not a big fan of
- 20:20Speaker 2: that one.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, could you have called it? Sure? I mean,
- 20:24Speaker 3: did Thompson put his stick and lean on him a
- 20:26Speaker 3: little bit? But again, that's just that just seems to
- 20:29Speaker 3: be a play that we see all the time. And
- 20:32Speaker 3: I know they're humans and they're inconsistent and everything, but
- 20:35Speaker 3: if you gotta find some consistency with with these specific
- 20:39Speaker 3: penalty calls, A lot of the other penalties that happened
- 20:42Speaker 3: after this. I you know, the high sticks and stuff.
- 20:44Speaker 3: You can't really argue those because those are just straight
- 20:46Speaker 3: up penalties. This one, I think it's a soft call
- 20:50Speaker 3: and it bit him. It bit him in the.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Butt, yep.
- 20:54Speaker 2: It Coffield scores the goal late at the end of
- 20:57Speaker 2: the period. There comes in tight and a little shifty
- 20:59Speaker 2: move there goes backhand and lucan and opens up the
- 21:02Speaker 2: five hole and right there Montreal's got a two one
- 21:04Speaker 2: lead when Buffalo had a chance to go up to nothing,
- 21:06Speaker 2: and all of a sudden it's two one month you're
- 21:07Speaker 2: off to twenty and you're thinking, oh, man, is this
- 21:09Speaker 2: going to be it here?
- 21:10Speaker 3: No? I mean yeah, I oddly felt not good because
- 21:14Speaker 3: they were down too one, But like that, after that period,
- 21:17Speaker 3: I was just like, there's just no like Buffalo at
- 21:20Speaker 3: even strength, at five and five was controlling that period.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Bad goal against the time, the game up, bad power
- 21:25Speaker 3: play goal given up. But I felt relatively good, thinking
- 21:28Speaker 3: if Buffalo plays that way, they're gonna find a way
- 21:32Speaker 3: to win this game. But yeah, there's just giving up.
- 21:36Speaker 3: That's the second I can't remember game two exactly, but
- 21:40Speaker 3: it's the second time that they've given up a power
- 21:43Speaker 3: play goal in the last minute of the first period. Thankfully,
- 21:45Speaker 3: in game one it didn't kill him. This tonight, it
- 21:47Speaker 3: didn't kill them either, but it absolutely could have. And
- 21:49Speaker 3: that unfortunately, again, whether whatever you think of the call,
- 21:53Speaker 3: I think it was soft, but an offensive home penalty
- 21:55Speaker 3: by one of your leaders is just a killer. And
- 21:58Speaker 3: that's exactly what happened there again, and.
- 22:00Speaker 2: A lot of late late period penalties as well for Buffalo,
- 22:03Speaker 2: right like, they've had a hard time of taking penalties
- 22:06Speaker 2: late into periods and I'm sure Lindy Ruff not happy
- 22:08Speaker 2: about that. I will say one of the biggest momentum
- 22:11Speaker 2: shifts in the game that isn't going to show up
- 22:13Speaker 2: on the box score, but early in that second period,
- 22:15Speaker 2: when Montreal had the power play, Lucanan came up with
- 22:17Speaker 2: two massive saves on col Cawfield.
- 22:20Speaker 3: Yep.
- 22:20Speaker 1: That could have made this game three to one.
- 22:22Speaker 2: And I think that's part of the reason why Lucanan
- 22:24Speaker 2: gets number one start a night, because if Cowfield scores
- 22:26Speaker 2: on either of those opportunities, and we know that he's
- 22:29Speaker 2: now getting hot and feeling it he scored in the
- 22:31Speaker 2: last game, and how lethal he is on the power play,
- 22:34Speaker 2: you know if he scores one of those two goals,
- 22:36Speaker 2: I think it's over.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely, And I think those two saves are a
- 22:39Speaker 3: big reason. Like I said earlier, that's why Lucanan was
- 22:41Speaker 3: able to settle himself and get back into the game.
- 22:43Speaker 3: I think he desperately needed those and the fact that
- 22:45Speaker 3: he's able to make them, and it kind of set
- 22:47Speaker 3: the tone for the rest of the game for Lucanan
- 22:50Speaker 3: because without those saves, like you said, the game is
- 22:52Speaker 3: getting away from him yet again. But that's what you
- 22:56Speaker 3: need from your goalie and that's what we've seen Lucanan
- 22:58Speaker 3: in line be able to Dotty consistently this year. And
- 23:02Speaker 3: extremely extremely glad that Luca was able to make those
- 23:04Speaker 3: saves because I kind of said to myself after again
- 23:10Speaker 3: opinion on the penalty aside just penalties in general, I said,
- 23:13Speaker 3: Buffalo is going to get some power plays coming now
- 23:16Speaker 3: if they keep the game at five on five, if
- 23:18Speaker 3: they be smart and control play the way that they were.
- 23:21Speaker 3: These rest were calling everything, as evidenced by the amount
- 23:23Speaker 3: of power plays that were in this game. Knew that
- 23:26Speaker 3: there was gonna be able to flip back in Buffalo's favor,
- 23:29Speaker 3: so being able to kill that off was massive. And
- 23:34Speaker 3: that's twice early in the period, early in the second
- 23:37Speaker 3: and early in the third. The penalty kill comes up
- 23:39Speaker 3: huge for Buffalo and those those can't like. Those are
- 23:42Speaker 3: huge momentum swings that work in Buffalo's favor from the
- 23:45Speaker 3: penalty kill, which is something that we had not seen
- 23:48Speaker 3: from the Savers this year, is a penalty kill actually
- 23:50Speaker 3: giving them momentum, and I think it was able to
- 23:52Speaker 3: give them a ton of momentum.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Tonight, and especially that five man unit Montreal puts out there.
- 23:56Speaker 2: It's pretty lethal.
- 23:57Speaker 3: It's nasty. Yeah, it's insane to watch them move the puck,
- 23:59Speaker 3: their entry is, their tip passes. It's just night and
- 24:01Speaker 3: day watching that power play where it compared.
- 24:03Speaker 2: To the Sabers, and everybody has an identity and a
- 24:06Speaker 2: role of what they're supposed to do on that power
- 24:07Speaker 2: play and it runs through Lane Hudson. Dahalene gets a
- 24:11Speaker 2: high stick in the face. That's a double minor. The
- 24:13Speaker 2: Sabers again just get a very lucky break accounts as
- 24:17Speaker 2: a power play goal and I don't know if this
- 24:18Speaker 2: saves their season or not. But Tage Thompson rims one
- 24:21Speaker 2: in and to note, Montreal was defending on the end
- 24:26Speaker 2: where the Zamboni entrance is, so it rimmed off of
- 24:29Speaker 2: the Zamboni entrance door area and went off of yak
- 24:33Speaker 2: Abdobis into the net. So again not how they draw
- 24:35Speaker 2: it up for a power play goal, but the way
- 24:37Speaker 2: Tage Thompson has been, you know, really trying to get
- 24:40Speaker 2: things going here. You know, they'll take it for sure,
- 24:43Speaker 2: And Sabers get a lucky break to tie this game
- 24:45Speaker 2: at two in the middle of the period.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Puck don't lie, right, that's what like, that's what they say, like,
- 24:51Speaker 3: that's just lucky, all that stuff. But a bounce finally
- 24:57Speaker 3: went the Sabers way, because I thought there was a
- 25:01Speaker 3: couple bounces that did not go their way in game
- 25:05Speaker 3: in game three, whether it was the puck that bounced
- 25:10Speaker 3: off the backboards into Lions' legs, through his legs in
- 25:12Speaker 3: Montreal's able a bigger goal, whether it was the Benson
- 25:15Speaker 3: chances on that big power play that Buffalo had that
- 25:17Speaker 3: could have brought the game back within one. Pucks weren't
- 25:20Speaker 3: bouncing their way the other game. They were bouncing the
- 25:23Speaker 3: Sabers way tonight, especially on that one. And you know,
- 25:26Speaker 3: I'm sure, I'm sure Habs fans and Habs players know
- 25:30Speaker 3: that bounced all too well, so it probably sucks for
- 25:33Speaker 3: them that it bit him in the butt tonight. But
- 25:35Speaker 3: you got to take goals anyway you can get them,
- 25:36Speaker 3: especially when things aren't necessarily going your way. But that
- 25:40Speaker 3: was another moment where one sequal kind of went in.
- 25:43Speaker 3: Buffalo didn't take over or anything like that, but they started,
- 25:46Speaker 3: they settled themselves down again and they were able to
- 25:47Speaker 3: kind of build going from there. They honestly had a
- 25:51Speaker 3: couple of huge chances on the rest of that power play,
- 25:53Speaker 3: just weren't able to convert there. But that was you
- 25:57Speaker 3: gotta be lucky to be good, and tonight the Sabers
- 26:00Speaker 3: luck on their side.
- 26:01Speaker 2: And again the penalty kill comes up big as you
- 26:03Speaker 2: mentioned again, like Byroom gets called for a double minor
- 26:06Speaker 2: late in the period for high sticking on Texia and
- 26:08Speaker 2: early in the period, yeah, early in the third Lukenin
- 26:11Speaker 2: has one squeaking by him and Samilson's able to sweep
- 26:14Speaker 2: it right off the goal line. And Samuelson, you know,
- 26:16Speaker 2: was good on the offensive and defensive side of the
- 26:18Speaker 2: game tonight, and you know, Montreal almost had they had
- 26:21Speaker 2: the game tied there or go ahead.
- 26:23Speaker 1: The go ahead goal.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Excuse me, but again, just the discipline for the Sabers
- 26:26Speaker 2: at the end of periods its really, you know, been
- 26:29Speaker 2: something that I've noticed in the last two or three
- 26:32Speaker 2: games here.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Yeah, discipline in general, right, I mean, in key moments,
- 26:35Speaker 3: it's been really dumb. And like I said, like those
- 26:39Speaker 3: types of penalties, the high sticking ones like that, there's
- 26:41Speaker 3: just how you can't argue against those. Those are just
- 26:43Speaker 3: those are just penalties. And that one was a double
- 26:47Speaker 3: minor that could have again been a dagger, but the
- 26:51Speaker 3: penalty kill was was massive for Buffalo. It felt like
- 26:55Speaker 3: they're high sticking was like the theme of the night
- 26:59Speaker 3: in this game, I guess, because there probably could have
- 27:02Speaker 3: been two or three more called or not called. But
- 27:06Speaker 3: dear lord, I don't know if I've seen so many
- 27:08Speaker 3: stick in fractions in one game. I was gonna say
- 27:13Speaker 3: Disabers obviously scored on their double minor, but I couldn't
- 27:15Speaker 3: remember the last time I've seen each team get a
- 27:17Speaker 3: double minor power play in a game.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and this was one of those games, right, And
- 27:22Speaker 2: then you know, later in the period, Buffalo on the
- 27:25Speaker 2: power play once again gets their second power play. Marker
- 27:28Speaker 2: Benson finds the positioning there, you know, right in front
- 27:31Speaker 2: of the net, and makes no mistake on the backhand
- 27:33Speaker 2: going over top Adobish.
- 27:34Speaker 1: And what can you say about Zach Benson.
- 27:36Speaker 2: He's continued to be one of the major heart beats
- 27:38Speaker 2: of this team throughout the playoffs. He's developed, you know,
- 27:42Speaker 2: quite the identity and quite the reputation around the league,
- 27:46Speaker 2: especially in that first game first series against the Boston Bruins.
- 27:49Speaker 2: He can beat you in a lot of different ways,
- 27:51Speaker 2: and he does it with a smile, which pisses the
- 27:52Speaker 2: other team off even more.
- 27:54Speaker 1: He's just a player with no fear.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Small guy, you know, gets in the dirty areas and
- 27:58Speaker 2: he's so shifty and and so you know, get gifted
- 28:01Speaker 2: with his stick handling that he's able to get that
- 28:03Speaker 2: one in and tight and go over top Adobitsch for
- 28:05Speaker 2: the eventual game winning goal.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean it's Zach Benson and Josh Doones. Those
- 28:11Speaker 3: the two guys we always talk about. The two guys
- 28:13Speaker 3: we've been talking about most of these playoffs, but especially
- 28:15Speaker 3: in this series. So the two that have showed up
- 28:16Speaker 3: every game. Benson getting that goal on his birthday just massive.
- 28:20Speaker 3: That was a goal that I literally went from my
- 28:23Speaker 3: worst fear to like the most jubilation I've had on
- 28:25Speaker 3: night because watching Tage sort of fumble the puck at
- 28:28Speaker 3: the top there before he gets the puck down to Don,
- 28:31Speaker 3: I was like, oh no, it's just another Tage turnover
- 28:34Speaker 3: that leads to a goal against. But he was able
- 28:35Speaker 3: to recover get it to doan done to Benson in
- 28:38Speaker 3: the slot, and Benson uses his feet to control the
- 28:40Speaker 3: puck and he's not He's not gonna missed from in
- 28:42Speaker 3: there a lot of times, so he was able to
- 28:45Speaker 3: capitalize there and get a huge, the game winning goal
- 28:48Speaker 3: on your birthday. The kid's got to feel great. He's
- 28:50Speaker 3: he's been consistently showing up. He can do it all,
- 28:54Speaker 3: whether it's pretty, whether it's grimy, whether it's dirty, Like
- 28:57Speaker 3: there's just nothing that the kid can't do. And I
- 28:59Speaker 3: think this is his coming out party. It's good to
- 29:03Speaker 3: see him get rewarded with a game winning goal and
- 29:06Speaker 3: at least prolonging his playoff run by two more games
- 29:09Speaker 3: because he's just he's been a joy to watch.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Oh absolutely.
- 29:12Speaker 2: And I think those those adjustments on the power play,
- 29:14Speaker 2: as far as the you know, switching the guys around
- 29:18Speaker 2: a little bit in the personnel. Right, you put Doan
- 29:20Speaker 2: and Benson on that top unit, you take off Zucker
- 29:24Speaker 2: and Norris, and right there it pays dividends.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Oh, it's made a huge difference. Like I said, I
- 29:29Speaker 3: think the entries are not going to be pretty for
- 29:31Speaker 3: that power play unit because you know, nothing as good
- 29:34Speaker 3: as Benson is getting the puck over the blue line.
- 29:36Speaker 3: They don't really have burners and they're still for some
- 29:39Speaker 3: reason employed that drop pass. But that's beside the point
- 29:41Speaker 3: the unit that they're rough assembled. For that top unit,
- 29:44Speaker 3: once they get the puck in the offensive zone, they've
- 29:46Speaker 3: been really effective and it's good to see them. You know,
- 29:49Speaker 3: the Caage goal is whatever, it's a power play goal,
- 29:51Speaker 3: but it's not really them working. But that goal right
- 29:53Speaker 3: there was just the good puck movement, getting the puck
- 29:56Speaker 3: to the slot and being able to capitalize. And that's
- 29:59Speaker 3: basically what this unit strategy is gonna have to be
- 30:01Speaker 3: because aside from Tatus, they're not elite shooters. They're just
- 30:04Speaker 3: guys who will outwork you and get the puck to
- 30:06Speaker 3: the dirty areas. And that's that's what they did there.
- 30:09Speaker 2: And the Sabers could have actually had a couple more
- 30:11Speaker 2: goals here there was two separate two on ones from
- 30:13Speaker 2: Zucker to Helenius and one hit the post and one
- 30:17Speaker 2: Dovis went across and made a marvelous save on Helenius,
- 30:21Speaker 2: who was a little snake bit on that same play twice.
- 30:24Speaker 2: That could have extended the Sabers lead there, but they
- 30:26Speaker 2: had the three to two lead. Montreal pulls the goaltender.
- 30:28Speaker 2: They get the time out as well, but they're not
- 30:30Speaker 2: able to beat Uko pecaluc and a couple of big
- 30:32Speaker 2: blocks at the end by Timmins and Samuelson who was
- 30:35Speaker 2: obviously noticeable tonight, and the Sabers were able to hold
- 30:39Speaker 2: on there and take a big road victory to even
- 30:42Speaker 2: the series up absolutely.
- 30:45Speaker 3: And I mean, I know he didn't score, but I
- 30:46Speaker 3: think Hellnius was an interesting guy to discuss, especially in
- 30:50Speaker 3: regards to this game and kind of the narrative that
- 30:52Speaker 3: was around him, because I know I said it right
- 30:55Speaker 3: after the last game he needs to be in the lineup,
- 30:57Speaker 3: and there was some pushback on you know, Twitter, there
- 30:59Speaker 3: was some push back from a couple of Sabers writers
- 31:01Speaker 3: being like, can't put the twenty year old in the moment,
- 31:03Speaker 3: would be too big for him in that environment. All
- 31:05Speaker 3: this stuff, blah blah blah. I really wish he would
- 31:10Speaker 3: scored one of those goals because it would just it
- 31:11Speaker 3: would make his impact so much greater. But he was
- 31:14Speaker 3: phenomenal tonight. He's one of their more point and responsible
- 31:17Speaker 3: centers already as a rookie at twenty years old. The
- 31:22Speaker 3: dude's been playing pro hockey for years, whether it's in Finland,
- 31:25Speaker 3: HL or Buffalo now. He is not the type of
- 31:29Speaker 3: guy to wither away. And I don't care that he's twenty.
- 31:31Speaker 3: You know who else is twenty, Zach Benson, and he's
- 31:35Speaker 3: the best player that the Savers have. Age is not
- 31:38Speaker 3: a reason to hold the kid out. Experience is not
- 31:40Speaker 3: a reason to hold the kid out in the series
- 31:42Speaker 3: where speed and defensive play matters, that's what constant Helllnius
- 31:47Speaker 3: brings to your lineup, and I thought him, Quinn and
- 31:49Speaker 3: Zucker were awesome. They This was another night where they
- 31:52Speaker 3: that line deserved a goal and Helenius should have had.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Two, Quinn had one. It just got called back.
- 31:59Speaker 3: Another point there too, But it's just like that, that line,
- 32:02Speaker 3: that line was I don't love McCloud being the fourth
- 32:05Speaker 3: line center, but I even thought him on that fourth
- 32:07Speaker 3: line brought some juice to that fourth line because you
- 32:09Speaker 3: have two of your faster guys and your more responsible
- 32:12Speaker 3: guys on that line with Allen Saint Greenway and McCloud. Like,
- 32:16Speaker 3: I thought the lineup construction by Lendy Ruff was good
- 32:18Speaker 3: because up until this game four, I thought Lendy Ruff
- 32:21Speaker 3: was getting his butt handed to him by Martin Saint
- 32:23Speaker 3: Louis in terms of coaching and in game adjustments and
- 32:25Speaker 3: things like that. This was a nice response by Roff
- 32:28Speaker 3: and a nice response by the team here. And I
- 32:30Speaker 3: think constant Helnius just showed one you should never care
- 32:35Speaker 3: about burning someone's entry level contract. I think that was
- 32:37Speaker 3: the dumbest argument for not letting him into a playoff lineup.
- 32:40Speaker 3: And two, play your best players. I don't care what
- 32:43Speaker 3: their age or experience is. Constant Helinius is one of
- 32:45Speaker 3: their best players, and I think he showed it tonight.
- 32:47Speaker 2: And a bounce back from Zucker as well, because there
- 32:49Speaker 2: was a lot of talk after he played under seven
- 32:51Speaker 2: minutes last game. Rough kind of downplayed it, saying because
- 32:54Speaker 2: there were penalty teams things like that.
- 32:56Speaker 3: Down played it. But I think it was valid questions
- 32:59Speaker 3: right because.
- 33:00Speaker 2: His linemates at the same amount of minutes like that
- 33:02Speaker 2: were normal.
- 33:03Speaker 3: Exactly, so good response to see him there. I know
- 33:06Speaker 3: he I think it was a shop block. He was
- 33:09Speaker 3: in some pain on the bench again, and I know
- 33:10Speaker 3: he's had a couple of scares in these playoffs, which
- 33:12Speaker 3: is why people were justifiably so wondering about his health.
- 33:16Speaker 3: But it's good to see him play. You know, his
- 33:18Speaker 3: eleven minutes that he played tonight and the line be effective.
- 33:21Speaker 3: Like I said, I really wish Ideas would have buried
- 33:23Speaker 3: those because those guys that line deserves something tonight.
- 33:27Speaker 2: They definitely did for those listening on our on demand

- 38:21Speaker 2: evening the series up at two games apiece autoin before
- 38:24Speaker 2: we go to head coach Lindy Rouff with his postgame thoughts.
- 38:27Speaker 2: You know, Thursday night back at the back at Key
- 38:29Speaker 2: Banks Center. I'm sure it's going to be a rocking
- 38:31Speaker 2: crowd there. I know the sky was falling after that
- 38:34Speaker 2: the second and third game, how those ended, and the
- 38:36Speaker 2: Sabers span some of them were already planning the funeral
- 38:39Speaker 2: for this season. But it's gonna at least be three,
- 38:41Speaker 2: at least two more games than possibly three, because this
- 38:43Speaker 2: thing's now tied. And as you mentioned, the ebbs and
- 38:46Speaker 2: flows and the roller coaster a series, one day you
- 38:49Speaker 2: go from thinking it's over and the next you think
- 38:50Speaker 2: to wow, you gained home ice advantage back.
- 38:54Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the beauty of a playoff series, right, like
- 38:56Speaker 3: I said it. It was a great response by the Sabers.
- 39:00Speaker 3: It was a great pushback from everyone who played in
- 39:03Speaker 3: in this game tonight, and even the Luke shen thing, Like,
- 39:06Speaker 3: we haven't really talked about it that much, and I
- 39:08Speaker 3: know people were like, why the heck is Luke shen
- 39:10Speaker 3: in blah blah blah this stuff. It could have been
- 39:12Speaker 3: kess Ring too. But I love I love the idea
- 39:16Speaker 3: of putting someone in who you know is only going
- 39:18Speaker 3: to play seven minutes tops, because that means one of
- 39:22Speaker 3: Dollyen Biram, Power or Samuelson are always going to consistently
- 39:26Speaker 3: be on the ice. Because that's what Rough has done.
- 39:28Speaker 3: He's done the rotation of the top four and just
- 39:31Speaker 3: using the bottom pair. It's basically a break a breather
- 39:34Speaker 3: every now and then, and that's when the Sabers were
- 39:37Speaker 3: clicking and humming at their best. And what better time
- 39:40Speaker 3: to load up on your top four than in the playoffs,
- 39:42Speaker 3: because that's the reason you do all this stuff. And
- 39:46Speaker 3: I think it worked out well because you know, either
- 39:49Speaker 3: were some struggles from Dolleen and Biram, particularly those two
- 39:52Speaker 3: where he had were not great. But I think Samuelson
- 39:55Speaker 3: stepped up big and I think oh In Power was
- 39:57Speaker 3: just again another guy. Points might not be Owen Power,
- 40:00Speaker 3: but he is rising to the occasion in these playoffs,
- 40:03Speaker 3: and I thought he was. He was excellent tonight. I
- 40:05Speaker 3: think he was by far their best defenseman.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Two penalties for Dollen and a double minor plus another
- 40:10Speaker 2: miner for Bowen Byram, so as you mentioned, there their
- 40:12Speaker 2: two best defensemen. Really we're off the ice for a
- 40:15Speaker 2: lot of this game, so you had to rely on
- 40:17Speaker 2: Tim and Samuelson Owen power. I know Luke Sheen only
- 40:20Speaker 2: is going to play seven minutes tonight, but as you mentioned,
- 40:23Speaker 2: a couple of big blocks, didn't you know, look completely
- 40:26Speaker 2: out of place? And get his teeth kicked in when
- 40:28Speaker 2: he was out there. You know, it was a stable,
- 40:30Speaker 2: you know, veteran presence back there in place of Logan Stanley.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Timm In stepped up big tonight, playing over twenty one
- 40:36Speaker 2: minutes tonight.
- 40:36Speaker 1: I had five blocks.
- 40:37Speaker 2: He was really good on the penalty kill when guys
- 40:40Speaker 2: like Byram and Dolleen were in the box, and as
- 40:43Speaker 2: you mentioned, you know, everybody on that decor and collectively
- 40:46Speaker 2: just picked up the slack and even the seven minutes
- 40:48Speaker 2: from SHN, I don't think it's going to go unnoticed
- 40:50Speaker 2: as well.
- 40:51Speaker 3: Yeah, no, absolutely not. And again penalty related obviously, but
- 40:54Speaker 3: it is pretty notable that, aside from Lucen, I think
- 40:57Speaker 3: Rasmus Dallien was the lowest for any defenseman, and again
- 41:03Speaker 3: a lot of that is the penalties and stuff. But
- 41:06Speaker 3: wasn't the best game from your two star defenseman environment Dollen.
- 41:10Speaker 3: But the other one stepped up, and that's huge. Like
- 41:13Speaker 3: Samuelson hitting block shots, Timmins hits block shots, power making
- 41:18Speaker 3: the breakouts and the transition play well because that's what
- 41:21Speaker 3: he does, carrying the puck and things like that. If
- 41:23Speaker 3: you have you know, if those guys are clicking you
- 41:26Speaker 3: can get away with playing pretty much five defensemen, and
- 41:30Speaker 3: I think it'll be interesting to see. We know how
- 41:33Speaker 3: Rough is with his lineup. When something works, he tends
- 41:35Speaker 3: to stick to it, So I imagine whether it's Shn, Cassel Ring,
- 41:38Speaker 3: even Stanley coming back in, I imagine the strategy will
- 41:41Speaker 3: be very similar for game five.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Back on Buffalo, I think was that Ryan McLeod was
- 41:47Speaker 2: the lowest forward tonight with nine to thirty five on ice,
- 41:51Speaker 2: and Greenway was the only one under ten minutes is
- 41:53Speaker 2: other than McLeod.
- 41:55Speaker 3: Yeah, that was again McLeod being the fourth line center
- 41:58Speaker 3: kind of made up to it. Helennius was second among
- 42:01Speaker 3: forwards of five on five list time, and he was
- 42:03Speaker 3: out there a couple times late in the game protecting
- 42:06Speaker 3: the lead, which I thought was notable. Again, just continuing
- 42:09Speaker 3: my theory of play your best players. I don't care
- 42:11Speaker 3: what their age or experience is. Helenius stepped up some
- 42:15Speaker 3: Keith moments there. It's just you have to match Montreal's
- 42:20Speaker 3: speed and work ethic, and I think this lineup that
- 42:24Speaker 3: he iced tonight is their best chance at it, especially
- 42:27Speaker 3: particularly the forwards. Defensively, you know, adding shinter lineup makes
- 42:30Speaker 3: you relatively slower, but if you're not going to play him,
- 42:33Speaker 3: it helps.
- 42:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Absolutely, So let's go do a Sabers head coach Lindy
- 42:37Speaker 2: Ruff has always brought you by wild bills out of repair,
- 42:40Speaker 2: helping customers stay safe and confident on the road. In
- 42:42Speaker 2: Nagress the twenty twelve in honor of the late William
- 42:44Speaker 2: Robert Hunter, here's what the Sabers head coach had disabled
- 42:47Speaker 2: his team's three to two victory in Game four.
- 42:49Speaker 3: Tim he won that game, and you said you battled
- 42:51Speaker 3: all the elements.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Do this have a similar feel where just every challenge
- 42:54Speaker 2: was getting thrown at you for sixty minutes?
- 42:57Speaker 6: Yeah, definitely. I thought we got off to tremendous start
- 43:00Speaker 6: to the game. We talked about getting off too fast
- 43:04Speaker 6: start and trying to quiet the building, and at first
- 43:07Speaker 6: eight minutes I thought it might have been some of
- 43:10Speaker 6: the best hockey we've played.
- 43:13Speaker 7: Lindy, With about two and a half minutes left, Constant
- 43:17Speaker 7: hit a post on a two on one from Zucker.
- 43:20Speaker 7: But I immediately looked up at the clock and saw how
- 43:22Speaker 7: much time was left. In the fact that in his
- 43:25Speaker 7: first playoff game he was out there on the ice,
- 43:27Speaker 7: what did you see from him tonight that you trusted
- 43:29Speaker 7: him in that situation with the lead.
- 43:31Speaker 6: I thought he played a He played an excellent game
- 43:33Speaker 6: from start to finish. I mean they made a save
- 43:38Speaker 6: on him, I don't know what eight ten minutes left
- 43:40Speaker 6: to another two and one where if he gets it
- 43:43Speaker 6: up as a goal, the next one hit the post.
- 43:47Speaker 6: Thought he skated well, competed hard. He gave us a
- 43:50Speaker 6: heck of a game here.
- 43:52Speaker 3: Yeah, Lindy, you know you don't as a young group,
- 43:55Speaker 3: you don't get to get playoff experience until you live it.
- 43:58Speaker 3: And you talked about how.
- 43:59Speaker 7: The Boston Series was big for your team, especially Game
- 44:01Speaker 7: six that come in here tonight, houst Ale Arena, all
- 44:05Speaker 7: the different things that happened tonight, and to grind that
- 44:07Speaker 7: out and to.
- 44:08Speaker 3: Stick with it. What could that do for the growth
- 44:10Speaker 3: of the seed? I could do.
- 44:12Speaker 6: It can do a lot, because there was a lot
- 44:15Speaker 6: of elements that went the other way. You know, the
- 44:19Speaker 6: review where we get the goal, the review where they
- 44:24Speaker 6: take it away, which I totally disagree with, just for
- 44:29Speaker 6: the fact that Dobeesh always.
- 44:30Speaker 3: Is swinging a stick.
- 44:31Speaker 6: He initiated the contact with Helenus with a stick coming
- 44:34Speaker 6: across the crease, and I thought Helenis did a great
- 44:38Speaker 6: job of trying to avoid the goaltender. There guy ends
- 44:41Speaker 6: up hitting the goaltender. So I really thought that that
- 44:45Speaker 6: was going our way, and I know that's my opinion.
- 44:51Speaker 6: By a great play by the kid and just a
- 44:54Speaker 6: tough review on us.
- 44:56Speaker 8: Along those lines, there were guys in your room we
- 44:58Speaker 8: talked about how the emotions got away from them in
- 45:01Speaker 8: game three, just the building and everything. How much do
- 45:04Speaker 8: you sense your team really learned from Game three and
- 45:07Speaker 8: things were going against them in this one too, and
- 45:09Speaker 8: they figured out a way to battle through it.
- 45:11Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, so definitely, but we had some self inflicted pain,
- 45:15Speaker 6: and I think there's a part of the game our
- 45:18Speaker 6: players need to understand that, whether you like it or not,
- 45:24Speaker 6: there are some light penalties getting called both ways. You
- 45:30Speaker 6: got to keep your stick off people. You've got to
- 45:34Speaker 6: it's the time of year where a player is going
- 45:36Speaker 6: to do his best to make whatever call.
- 45:39Speaker 2: It is.
- 45:41Speaker 6: Seem like it's the almost the end of the world,
- 45:45Speaker 6: the Thompson play, the Dolline play, those types of place.
- 45:51Speaker 3: Our guys haven't lived enough of that yet to understand it.
- 45:53Speaker 6: We talked yesterday at length about discipline for the game,
- 45:58Speaker 6: and we didn't pass the discipline test.
- 46:03Speaker 3: Do I like all the calls?
- 46:04Speaker 6: I think you can tell I don't like all the calls,
- 46:06Speaker 6: but I have been there and I've lived all those
- 46:09Speaker 6: calls in the past, and it's something that we have
- 46:13Speaker 6: to be better with.
- 46:17Speaker 7: What was was it?
- 46:18Speaker 3: Was?
- 46:18Speaker 9: It kind of your message after the first because it
- 46:20Speaker 9: feels like there was a lot of frustration after the
- 46:23Speaker 9: lost challenge in the two bills from the half, So
- 46:25Speaker 9: what was the message in locker room between the first
- 46:27Speaker 9: and second.
- 46:29Speaker 6: I just stayed with it, you know, the message all time.
- 46:32Speaker 6: As we're playing a good team. We said it was
- 46:37Speaker 6: going to be a long match, a long series. We've
- 46:41Speaker 6: got to stay with how we're playing. The way we
- 46:43Speaker 6: started the first period. We wanted to start the second period.
- 46:48Speaker 6: We felt that we had the edge five on five,
- 46:50Speaker 6: and I think, you know, penaly killing took a lot
- 46:53Speaker 6: of wind out of our sails, and it took a
- 46:55Speaker 6: lot of our guys out of the out of the
- 46:56Speaker 6: mix for a while, which which hurt us when it
- 46:59Speaker 6: came to.
- 46:59Speaker 5: Five on five.
- 47:04Speaker 3: All right.
- 47:04Speaker 2: There was Sabers head coach Lindy ruff on the wild
- 47:08Speaker 2: Bill's otta are post game as always. Video and audio
- 47:11Speaker 2: courtesy of x dot Com, Slash Buffalo Sabers, MSG, and
- 47:14Speaker 2: the National Hockey League.
- 47:15Speaker 1: Gostenin what were your takeaways from what Lindy said tonight?
- 47:19Speaker 3: I mean, obviously you can't. You never know with Lindy,
- 47:21Speaker 3: but my takeaways are constant. Helenius is not going anywhere.
- 47:24Speaker 3: He will be in the lineup. The moment was not
- 47:27Speaker 3: too big for him. Turns out he was not overwhelmed
- 47:31Speaker 3: by the Montreal atmosphere. Turns out he was not overwhelmed
- 47:33Speaker 3: by debuting in the playoffs, which is kind of funny
- 47:36Speaker 3: because you look at some of the key performances. Not
- 47:39Speaker 3: to Hellnia score tonight or anything, but Zack Benson has
- 47:41Speaker 3: been a key performer. Noel Austlin only played a game
- 47:45Speaker 3: in a period, but his playoff debut was unreal, and
- 47:50Speaker 3: now Helenius having a very solid playoff debut. It's almost
- 47:53Speaker 3: like these young kids, if given the chance, can show
- 47:58Speaker 3: up for you and contribute. And that's what we've kind
- 48:00Speaker 3: of seen with the Sabers so far, and just the
- 48:03Speaker 3: rest of his stuff, right like the discipline test. He
- 48:05Speaker 3: doesn't like all the calls, which none of us do,
- 48:08Speaker 3: but at some point I stopped. You just can't put
- 48:10Speaker 3: yourself in the position to to get yourself called. Right
- 48:14Speaker 3: Like I hate the tage call. I do probably don't
- 48:18Speaker 3: need to put your stick on Gooli's back after a whistle, right,
- 48:22Speaker 3: You probably just don't need to, whether it's a soft
- 48:24Speaker 3: call or not. So discipline is going to be the
- 48:27Speaker 3: message going forward because you're not going to get away
- 48:30Speaker 3: with seven power play chances for Montreal ever again probably
- 48:35Speaker 3: right like they' they're too talented, they're too good. So
- 48:40Speaker 3: those are my two things. The discipline is going to
- 48:41Speaker 3: continue to be the biggest message for Buffalo going forward
- 48:44Speaker 3: because I think at five on five for the most part,
- 48:47Speaker 3: the Sabers have looked very good in the series. There
- 48:49Speaker 3: just hasn't been a lot of five on five play.
- 48:51Speaker 3: And two, I don't expect, at least to the forward group.
- 48:56Speaker 3: I don't expect any changes going forward because that group
- 48:59Speaker 3: look confident and very capable tonight.
- 49:02Speaker 2: Do you think Stanley gets back in for Game four?
- 49:04Speaker 1: For Game five?
- 49:05Speaker 3: For shen That's one thing I don't know. I don't
- 49:08Speaker 3: see why there's any reason why you can't put Stanley
- 49:11Speaker 3: in and just employ the same strategy of playing your
- 49:13Speaker 3: top four more than anyone else, But who knows. Lindy
- 49:18Speaker 3: Roff does like to not tweak things when it goes well,
- 49:22Speaker 3: and tonight it went well, so I genuinely don't know.
- 49:29Speaker 3: I do know. Michael Kesmer's probably never playing again. Shen
- 49:35Speaker 3: played seven minutes, Causlering only played like four when he
- 49:38Speaker 3: got in, so it'll be I don't know, it'll be interesting.
- 49:41Speaker 2: Timmans played twenty one. I don't think he's going to
- 49:42Speaker 2: do that again unless Byram and Dully in take.
- 49:45Speaker 3: Yeah, Timmans played twenty one tonight because the penalties were
- 49:48Speaker 3: just insane and he's their best penalty killing defenseman. But yeah,
- 49:51Speaker 3: I don't. I'm very curious as too. If he stays
- 49:55Speaker 3: with the same group, or throws in Stanley but keeps
- 49:58Speaker 3: the same strategy, or if he just tries to go
- 49:59Speaker 3: back to three even pairs, it'll be very interesting. Because
- 50:03Speaker 3: Byron was very bad tonight, Dallien was very bad tonight.
- 50:07Speaker 3: Doesn't necessarily mean they're going to be bad going forward,
- 50:09Speaker 3: so you can still try the same strategy. But maybe
- 50:14Speaker 3: maybe he thought one game off. Maybe he thinks one
- 50:16Speaker 3: game off for Stanley was all he needed. I don't know.
- 50:18Speaker 3: We'll see. The defense will be the only thing that
- 50:20Speaker 3: I think is worth monitoring going forward because I don't
- 50:22Speaker 3: expect any changes of that forward group. And with the
- 50:26Speaker 3: way the goal irrotation has been luc in one, I
- 50:29Speaker 3: see no reason why he won't give him another shot.
- 50:32Speaker 3: And he played well like he played well and one.
- 50:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and we know he rides the hot hand there. Yeah.
- 50:38Speaker 2: The only comment I had was the self inflicted. Got
- 50:40Speaker 2: to keep your sticks off of people. Embellishment's going to
- 50:42Speaker 2: happen this time of year, so that yeah.
- 50:44Speaker 3: Like I said, a lot of those, a lot of
- 50:46Speaker 3: those penalties, whether you just can't argue those like I
- 50:48Speaker 3: sticked in the face no matter what you think, Like
- 50:51Speaker 3: that's gonna get called. The Dallian interference on Coffield, Like sorry,
- 50:55Speaker 3: that's just a dumb penalty. To the first interference on Goolie.
- 51:00Speaker 3: I didn't like that one, and I didn't like the
- 51:01Speaker 3: one on Tage. The other ones, I don't know. I
- 51:03Speaker 3: don't know how those are penalties, man, Whether I seven's
- 51:06Speaker 3: a lot, and you know, they tell me, they try
- 51:09Speaker 3: to tell us that penalties don't get called in the playoffs,
- 51:11Speaker 3: but apparently they just do. But those a lot of
- 51:14Speaker 3: them are penalties, and there's not much you can do
- 51:15Speaker 3: about it. Just try and, like rough said, keep your
- 51:19Speaker 3: sticks to yourself. Try to be disciplined because you know,
- 51:23Speaker 3: the way this series has gone, power players are gonna
- 51:25Speaker 3: get called. So if you're the disciplined team, you take
- 51:28Speaker 3: advantage of your power play opportunities, that's another plus for you.
- 51:31Speaker 3: But if you give a team like Montreal seven power plays,
- 51:34Speaker 3: they're gonna make you pay. Tonight just happened to be
- 51:38Speaker 3: not one of those Knights.
- 51:39Speaker 2: So lastly, I guess I'll say, uh, you know, there
- 51:42Speaker 2: wasn't as much funny business as there was in the
- 51:44Speaker 2: last game, right like they're I don't know if that
- 51:46Speaker 2: came down from the league as well, with both fines
- 51:49Speaker 2: going both ways to Malenstein and the Jack Guy. We
- 51:51Speaker 2: know what Norris? Did we know Malenstein? Did we know
- 51:54Speaker 2: what happened to Kerrick at the end of the game
- 51:56Speaker 2: with Jack Guy as well? How do you think the
- 51:57Speaker 2: Sabers responded just in the I guess just the toughness
- 52:01Speaker 2: part of the game tonight, I think they responded fine.
- 52:04Speaker 3: I think this is a series where you don't need
- 52:06Speaker 3: to get involved with that funny business It's not like
- 52:08Speaker 3: the Bruins where that's you know, like no offense to
- 52:11Speaker 3: the Canadians. Knanes are a really good team. But I'm
- 52:13Speaker 3: not worried about the Canadians bullying me. I'm worried about
- 52:15Speaker 3: the Canadians beating me with their speed and skill. So
- 52:17Speaker 3: if the Canadians want to do this stuff, and especially
- 52:21Speaker 3: the way it's been officiated, let them do this stuff.
- 52:24Speaker 3: Last game obviously a different story, and near the end
- 52:26Speaker 3: of the game, you're pissed off, you're frustrated. I understand
- 52:28Speaker 3: that emotions get the better of you, but in terms
- 52:31Speaker 3: of just gameplay going forward, you don't need to get
- 52:34Speaker 3: involved with that stuff. That's not that's a bonus to
- 52:38Speaker 3: the Canadians if you're doing that, because that means they're
- 52:41Speaker 3: in your head. And when a team like them are
- 52:43Speaker 3: in your head, with the speed and skill if they have,
- 52:45Speaker 3: you're gonna lose. So if you just stay calm and
- 52:47Speaker 3: play your game like you did tonight, like you did
- 52:50Speaker 3: in game one, it's gonna more times than not be
- 52:54Speaker 3: better off for you than it will be for them.
- 52:56Speaker 2: So before we wrap up, as always our player, the
- 52:59Speaker 2: game is brought you by the Nagardentri Clinic creating natural
- 53:01Speaker 2: smiles in the Nagara region for over twenty five years.
- 53:04Speaker 2: Austin got a lot of good options tonight. But who
- 53:07Speaker 2: are you going with for your player of the game.
- 53:10Speaker 3: Gotta go Benson birthday boy, game winning goal continues to
- 53:14Speaker 3: you know, just his ability to use his footwork and
- 53:17Speaker 3: his his stick and his motor to wear people down,
- 53:21Speaker 3: create loose pucks, things like that get to the slot.
- 53:24Speaker 3: He's been their best performer and he came up big
- 53:26Speaker 3: yet again. So I'm gonna go with Zack Benson.
- 53:28Speaker 2: I'm gonna say my one b option because Benson was
- 53:30Speaker 2: gonna be my guy. I'm gonna say Matia Samuelson. He
- 53:32Speaker 2: logged the most minutes for any defenseman tonight for the Sabers,
- 53:35Speaker 2: had twenty seven shifts, had that first goal for Buffalo,
- 53:38Speaker 2: He had two shots, He had six blocks, six hits,
- 53:41Speaker 2: and a takeaway as well. So Samilson did everything tonight
- 53:43Speaker 2: and even you know, swipe one off the goal line
- 53:46Speaker 2: there early in the third period and came up with
- 53:48Speaker 2: big blocks when Montreal had the goalie pulled trying to press.
- 53:51Speaker 2: So I think number twenty three Samuelson was you know,
- 53:54Speaker 2: a big impact tonight.
- 53:55Speaker 1: I don't want to give him a shoutout.
- 53:57Speaker 3: Love that, and I know we've already talked about him,
- 53:58Speaker 3: but also get some still looking in starting out really
- 54:01Speaker 3: bad in huge saves. That play where he pulled the
- 54:06Speaker 3: puck off the goal line on the penalty kill was awesome,
- 54:08Speaker 3: So he deserves the shout out because even though it
- 54:11Speaker 3: started out shaky, he studied the ship for Buffalo and
- 54:14Speaker 3: ended up being very, very solid.
- 54:17Speaker 1: So Austin.
- 54:17Speaker 2: Final thoughts going into uh Thursday series tied to too
- 54:20Speaker 2: going back home. We know, we know what the you know,
- 54:23Speaker 2: the block parties have been like in downtown Buffalo. You've
- 54:26Speaker 2: been to a couple of them now, I'm sure they're
- 54:27Speaker 2: they're incredible, but I know they've been a better road
- 54:30Speaker 2: team in the playoffs. But now they've got two of
- 54:32Speaker 2: the next three at home and trying to to take
- 54:36Speaker 2: this series. We thought it was going to go all
- 54:37Speaker 2: the way to the to the end here and now
- 54:39Speaker 2: they've given themselves a chance.
- 54:41Speaker 3: Final thoughts basically, please keep the game at five on five,
- 54:46Speaker 3: like playing and simple not even just obviously discipline and
- 54:50Speaker 3: all that stuff. But there are stretches where Montreal is
- 54:54Speaker 3: obviously taking it to him. But I feel like, for
- 54:55Speaker 3: the most part, at five on five in the series,
- 54:59Speaker 3: you feel pretty about how you've performed. If you're Lindy
- 55:01Speaker 3: Rough in the Buffalo Savers, you can match their speed
- 55:04Speaker 3: at five on five. You have the same skill as them.
- 55:08Speaker 3: It's when the other stuff starts coming into it and
- 55:12Speaker 3: you give them power plays and you just give them
- 55:16Speaker 3: kicks at the can? Who kill yourself? And if you
- 55:22Speaker 3: keep this game at five on five, I think that
- 55:24Speaker 3: they've shown the ability to all playoff long. They've shown
- 55:28Speaker 3: the ability that we are a all season long, really
- 55:30Speaker 3: that they're a good five on five teams. So be disciplined,
- 55:33Speaker 3: keep the game at five on five and things will
- 55:35Speaker 3: go your way.
- 55:37Speaker 1: And both these teams know how to respond off losses.
- 55:39Speaker 1: So not real.
- 55:41Speaker 2: You're hoping that you have the same bounce back after
- 55:44Speaker 2: game one that you did in game two. And for
- 55:46Speaker 2: the Savers, you hope that you can keep you know,
- 55:48Speaker 2: this momentum up and really keeping yourself in this series.
- 55:50Speaker 2: So series tied to two. Savers win this one by
- 55:52Speaker 2: a four or three to two score, excuse me? In
- 55:55Speaker 2: game four in Monthreal to tie the series up to two,
- 55:58Speaker 2: going back home to Buffalo Thursday night. That's gonna be
- 56:01Speaker 2: it for our live postgame show here on Sabers Semantics
