- 1:05SPEAKER_01: Fear and Confidence in Bloom with the Divas That Care Network, I, Tina Spoletini, speak with women living in their own self-confidence about who they truly are, how they found themselves, and how they care for themselves.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: Today, I'm speaking with Jessica Dirksen.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: Jessica Dirksen, transformational speaker and coach, is the founder of True To You Lifestyle.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: She is a certified health and life coach, speaker, facilitator, author, mentor to women in business, and host of the True To You podcast.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: Jessica's purpose is to encourage, inspire, and offer tools to help women empower themselves to be the hero of their own story.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: She focuses on the cycle of transformation to help her clients master their minds, up-leveling their thoughts, change their habits so they can get the results in any area of their life they desire and live a life that they truly love while feeling incredible from the inside out.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: Jessica wants to show the world that we can have the life of our dreams and that it starts from within.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: Her motto, if...
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: If you want a different ending, tell a different story.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: Hi, Jessica.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: How are you today?
- 2:17SPEAKER_01: Hi, Tina.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: I'm good.
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: How are you?
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: I'm really good.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: I'm really good.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: The sun is shining.
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: It's always good when you see the sun in the morning.
- 2:27SPEAKER_01: Jessica, where do you call home?
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: I'm in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: Awesome.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: Just like me.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: Can you tell me a little bit more about your coaching business?
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: So I focus a lot on health coaching that really results in a lot of life coaching because I've recognized and noticed that how we do one thing is how we show up in all areas of our life.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: And so I love to focus on health in terms of Physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual, all things health.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: So it's not just the way you look and a number on a scale and your weight and that kind of thing.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: It's really about having a healthy mindset, having healthy thoughts, feeling really good about yourself from the inside so that you can show up and do really great things in your external life.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: So I focus a lot around mindset and a lot around changing your habits to create the life of your dream.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: So when you say...
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: the way we show up in one area, we show up in others.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: Like, do you mean, like, if we're sort of, I don't want to say negative because I don't think that's the word I'm looking for, but if we're maybe lack or we're, you know, less educated in one area, we tend to not show what we know in others?
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: Like, do we kind of hide back?
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: No, I think more what I mean by that is, you know, if you are not putting attention into an area of your life, and I really look at the life of like your relationships, your financial situation, your career or your creativity, your health, how you're spending your time.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: So if there's like one of those areas that you're really not putting that love, that care, that attention into, it starts to create a ripple effect in all other areas of your life.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: So if you're showing up in your health poorly, well, you're probably now that's creating a ripple effect and you're not feeling so good.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: So now you're not showing up in your career or your business as much as you'd love to in a way that you would love to.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: You're not showing up in your relationship.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: So in my own life, there's like certain things that I do every day to take care of my health.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: And when I don't do them, I'm grumpy.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: I'm not fun to be around.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: I don't show up as a great wife.
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: I don't show up as a good stepmom.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: I'm not great in my business.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: Like it just affects every other area.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: And I start to slack in every area in the same way that I'm kind of slacking in my health.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I can totally resonate with that.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: The only thing that I don't understand is I hate exercise.
- 5:01SPEAKER_01: But if I don't move my body, it affects my entire day, and yet I don't enjoy it, right?
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: Do you enjoy just walking?
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: Do you enjoy just going out in nature or walking, dating, swimming?
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: Nope, I don't enjoy any of that.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: I do like yoga.
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: I do have to say I do like yoga.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: I love yoga.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but you know what really energizes me is chatting with other people.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: You know, ask me to go for a coffee, doesn't matter what time of the day, I'm ready.
- 5:33SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 5:33SPEAKER_01: But yeah, and go for a walk.
- 5:34SPEAKER_01: And I've got every excuse under the sun.
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and when I think of health, I really think of, you know, are you moving your body in a way that works for you, however that works?
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: You know, are you drinking water?
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: Are you eating foods that give you energy?
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: Are you sleeping enough?
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: And then one of the most important parts is do you have positive relationships in your life, those connections?
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: That's a huge part of living a healthy life because healthy isn't just about our physical health, right?
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: It's about our mental health, our emotional health, that spiritual piece.
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: And having really positive relationships and connections, those coffee dates, really help us feel good about ourselves and 100%.
- 6:09SPEAKER_01: And I've learned over the years that healthy is body, mind and soul.
- 6:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: What are you celebrating this week?
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: Well, I just came back.
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: Well, not just came back a few days ago.
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: I'm celebrating an incredible event I was part of last weekend in the mountains.
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: And I got to speak in front of women.
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: I got to participate in all of these fun activities.
- 6:37SPEAKER_01: So that was awesome.
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: That was huge.
- 6:40SPEAKER_01: A good celebration for sure.
- 6:41SPEAKER_01: That's excellent.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: How do you celebrate you and your wins?
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: I'm a huge believer in to celebrate all the big and the small things.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: I think we've all been trained to celebrate those big moments, you know, the big birthdays, the big weddings, the big anniversaries, the babies, all those things.
- 7:27SPEAKER_01: But it's the small things every day that if you can focus on and celebrate and really feel that pride, that builds your confidence and that helps move you forward.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: Oh, for sure.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: And without those little wins, you can't have the big wins.
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: Okay, so this question I have, it's kind of confusing.
- 7:46SPEAKER_01: Would you rather be able to express yourself accurately or always have to say the exact truth?
- 7:52SPEAKER_01: So I will explain it a little bit.
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: Sometimes when you're asked a question, depending on maybe who you're talking with, you don't know how to answer it honestly without hurting someone or without sounding negative or without having that heaviness to it.
- 8:12SPEAKER_01: What would you prefer?
- 8:13SPEAKER_01: Would you prefer to just be able to say what you're thinking and not be judged?
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: Or would you prefer having to sort of butter it up so that you're not hurting anyone or being judged?
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: Um, I don't, I would not want to butter it up.
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't want to cover it up and only because I wouldn't want someone to speak to me like that.
- 8:33SPEAKER_01: I want the truth.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: And I perfect example this morning, I was at a really early networking, um, breakfast.
- 8:39SPEAKER_01: And if one of my good friends who invited me to it, she right after she's like, Hey, and she just said something to me.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: And she's like, is this safe that I say this to you?
- 8:47SPEAKER_01: Like, are you comfortable?
- 8:47SPEAKER_01: And it was, like about me and my business.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: And I was like, oh my gosh, like I am so thankful for the feedback because now I can take that and I can adjust and I can change and I can help work this into my own business and into my own life.
- 9:00SPEAKER_01: So I would rather say the, be honest.
- 9:03SPEAKER_01: And if someone takes that in a negative way, that's more about them.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: If they don't understand what I'm saying and I'll, I'll try and explain it, but I don't think buttering up really helps anybody succeed in their own life.
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: I agree.
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: I agree.
- 9:16SPEAKER_01: And there's always a nice way to say bad things.
- 9:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:19SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 9:20SPEAKER_01: And bad doesn't have to necessarily be an insult.
- 9:22SPEAKER_01: You know, it could be just a criticism.
- 9:25SPEAKER_01: We all have to be open to that.
- 9:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:27SPEAKER_01: And you can be really constructive on how you give it.
- 9:30SPEAKER_01: And if someone doesn't want to take it, that's not about you.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: If they judge you for that, that's really about them.
- 9:35SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 9:36SPEAKER_01: A hundred percent.
- 9:37SPEAKER_01: Excuse me.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: What's the common thing that you think about when you're alone?
- 9:43SPEAKER_01: Well, it depends on the day and what's going on in my life.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: If I'm in a really good space, I think of a lot of great things.
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: I am really intentional about focusing.
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: So I do a lot about mindset and mindset work.
- 9:56SPEAKER_01: So I'm really intentional about focusing and connecting back to things that I'm grateful for, things that just put a smile on my heart, things that make me happy.
- 10:06SPEAKER_01: But I'm also human and we get those negative Nelly moments.
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: And if I'm in a you know, a darker place in my life or in a, in a bad season or a not great season that I'm not proud of.
- 10:19SPEAKER_01: I just like everyone else have those negative thoughts that are draining and can you really do this?
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: And is it time to give up?
- 10:26SPEAKER_01: And you know, why are you trying to, I just got a puppy.
- 10:29SPEAKER_01: Why are you, who do you think you are that you can really, you know, raise a puppy and make it happy and healthy?
- 10:34SPEAKER_01: Like these are my thoughts lately.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: This puppy is going crazy at times, but, um, I think it all just depends on the season you're going through.
- 10:42SPEAKER_01: Like sometimes I'm super positive and I'm always looking on the bright side and other times it takes a lot more work to do that.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: Isn't that the truth?
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: Because life happens, right?
- 10:52SPEAKER_01: And puppies, they're like babies.
- 10:55SPEAKER_01: They are like babies.
- 10:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 10:57SPEAKER_01: Like, you know, as much as, you know, I mean, everybody deserves to be loved, but sometimes you're like, what, what was I thinking?
- 11:04SPEAKER_01: I haven't slept in weeks.
- 11:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: That was my thought like two days ago and then today I'm like, oh my gosh, I'm so in love.
- 11:12SPEAKER_01: I know because they're so adorable, right?
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: They look at you with those puppy eyes and you're like, how could I say no to that face?
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: Now I ask this question and I'm not really looking for a number.
- 11:28SPEAKER_01: How many times have you tried and failed at achieving the same goals in the past?
- 11:35SPEAKER_01: A lot.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: I think that there's a number of ways I can answer this.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: So there's certain things like business goals that I've tried a number of times and reworked it and then achieved it.
- 11:48SPEAKER_01: There are things in my life that I tried to achieve that I didn't.
- 11:53SPEAKER_01: I mean, that I failed at, and I have my air quotes up, but it was really a good redirection.
- 11:57SPEAKER_01: I was told you should grow up and be a lawyer and do all the law things, and I was interested at first, and then I didn't pass the LSAT twice, and so there was this huge failure component, but really it was like a redirect of like, is this really what I want and what I want to experience in my life, or am I doing this for other people?
- 12:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: So that was one, I guess you could say I gave up on, but it's a happy give up because it's not really wasn't true to who I was and what I wanted.
- 12:28SPEAKER_01: I mean, health goals are so many times in my life where I used to attach a number on the scale to my worth.
- 12:36SPEAKER_01: And so I would keep trying to get there and then I'd gain the weight and I'd lose the weight and gain the weight.
- 12:41SPEAKER_01: So millions of times I tried to do health things.
- 12:44UNKNOWN: Yeah.
- 12:44SPEAKER_01: And now I think I've just achieved a happy place, a happy piece in my health.
- 12:49SPEAKER_01: And it's not tied to a number on the scale.
- 12:51SPEAKER_01: It's not tied to having, you know, a certain stomach with a number of abs on it.
- 12:55SPEAKER_01: So I think I try a ton of things and I fail.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: But if I look at it as, is this something that's true to me and that I would love?
- 13:02SPEAKER_01: And if so, okay, let's try it again.
- 13:04SPEAKER_01: How can we learn from this experience?
- 13:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know, I have to agree.
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: It's like, you know, with weight loss, weight loss has been like my, you know, Yeah.
- 13:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: And I would like attach, if I don't have a flat stomach by this day, like you're a failure, you're a loser.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: You can never get abs.
- 13:42SPEAKER_01: Like I've never gotten a six pack of abs.
- 13:44SPEAKER_01: But in my mind, I thought once I did, I would love myself and I would be loved.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: And I was miserable trying to do this.
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: I was miserable trying to do these diets, miserable, you know, counting calories and cutting out all this food.
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: And now I'm just so happy and I don't care about that.
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: And I eat to feel good and I eat to feel energized.
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: And I'm way happier and I enjoy my life a lot more without all this stress of, can I eat this?
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: Can I not?
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: Will this affect my abs that I don't even have?
- 14:12SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: Well, I always claim, you know, because I've got a big belly, I'm always like, I have a six pack.
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: I can't see it, but I got one.
- 14:21SPEAKER_01: Well, we all do, right?
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 14:26SPEAKER_01: We all have one, right?
- 14:28SPEAKER_01: That doesn't mean, you know, I have to show it off, but I know I have one because I'm carrying my body around, right?
- 14:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, exactly.
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: What obstacles are in your way that you maybe are reluctant to face?
- 14:45SPEAKER_01: I think obstacles I have in my way are, I mean, I think we're all in our own way with our own thoughts and our mindsets.
- 14:53SPEAKER_01: And I think there are always stuff that comes up.
- 14:57SPEAKER_01: We color our current reality with things from our past.
- 15:00SPEAKER_01: And I know in my own life, there are things that have happened in the past that I've just been reluctant to deal with because my mind, it's just easier to ignore it.
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: And I know this isn't the right way to go.
- 15:10SPEAKER_01: You know, I coach people around this, but for myself, it's a lot harder to do on your own.
- 15:16SPEAKER_01: And so there are things that have affected me in the past, and I keep bringing that experience in this moment with me today.
- 15:23SPEAKER_01: And then it kind of gets in the way of certain areas of my growth.
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: And so...
- 15:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's a big question and it made me really think of I need to work on things from my own past because I know that I'm bringing it into this moment and it's affecting how I show up and my perspective of certain things.
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: And this is what makes you human, right?
- 15:48SPEAKER_01: You can teach the tools.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: You have the tools yourself, right?
- 15:52SPEAKER_01: In order for you to teach them, you have to own them yourself, right?
- 15:56SPEAKER_01: But the reality is our past makes such a huge impact on how our future is going to unfold.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: Yep, absolutely.
- 16:06SPEAKER_01: And if we don't do that work and we don't let go of certain things from the past or change our perspective of it, which is where I really love diving into, if we don't change our perspective of it, then it shows up over and over and over again and we keep reliving the same past in our current moment.
- 16:23SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 16:23SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 16:24SPEAKER_01: And and so, I mean, let's face it, some of us have a past that's really hard to forget.
- 16:29SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 16:31SPEAKER_01: I don't I don't know your full story, but I'm sure there are things in your past where you it's really hard to let go of.
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and we attach stories to them, right?
- 16:42SPEAKER_01: And we cling on to these stories because it's what we know and we think it's safe because it's like if I don't have this, then who am I?
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: What's my identity?
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: But we're so attached to these stories that if we don't change the narrative, then it's hard to change our future.
- 16:57SPEAKER_01: Right, absolutely.
- 17:01SPEAKER_01: So true.
- 17:03UNKNOWN: Yeah.
- 17:03SPEAKER_01: How, so, I mean, obviously you didn't just, you know, like you've had to go through like your own coaching, you know, where you've hired a coach and you've had to learn all these things about yourself.
- 17:17SPEAKER_01: Did it take you, like, did you kind of go into that journey knowing that this is going to be a lot of hard work or did you kind of, you know, open the door slowly and say, okay, let's see what I'm going to find?
- 17:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, I think I knew it would be hard work.
- 17:33SPEAKER_01: So I started with therapy first.
- 17:36SPEAKER_01: I didn't really know much about the coaching world.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: So years ago, I started doing therapy, which was fantastic.
- 17:41SPEAKER_01: And I love it.
- 17:42SPEAKER_01: But then I actually worked in a career in health and safety.
- 17:47SPEAKER_01: And the company I worked for, they did a leadership program.
- 17:50SPEAKER_01: And so in that program, I was actually introduced to a coach.
- 17:54SPEAKER_01: So we had an executive coach running the program.
- 17:56SPEAKER_01: And then we each got like, six sessions with our own one on one life coach.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: And that was kind of my first introduction to like what coaching is and this life coaching.
- 18:06SPEAKER_01: And I remember just talking to this woman and thinking, wow, this is such a, like, I would love this job.
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: I want this career.
- 18:13SPEAKER_01: I want to do what you do and have these conversations with people.
- 18:16SPEAKER_01: And then I started to, well, years later, I got into coaching myself and I was like, I need to hire a coach.
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: And it got even deeper.
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: And it's so much work, but it's so worth it.
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: So I knew, I think because I had that kind of intro to what it was, I knew it would be a lot of hard work and a lot of deep work.
- 18:36SPEAKER_01: But I don't think a lot of people know that when they first start.
- 18:38SPEAKER_01: No.
- 18:39SPEAKER_01: And that's kind of why I asked.
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: Because some people, you know, think, oh, I have a life coach.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: Well, you know, what do they do?
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: Well, she helps me, you know, find my way.
- 18:48SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: But there's so many...
- 18:51SPEAKER_01: different paths that we can all take to find our way.
- 18:55SPEAKER_01: Sometimes some of us just need a little bit of a hand, you know, here, you know, let me walk with you.
- 19:01SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 19:01SPEAKER_01: And, and, you know, I know I've heard, you know, lots of people say, Oh, who needs a life coach?
- 19:07SPEAKER_01: We all, we all, you know, can just gather our own thoughts and figure them all out.
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: But some of us need, some of us need that, right.
- 19:16SPEAKER_01: Some of us need to be guided and, you know, kind of shown the way without, like, by a non-family member or, you know, like, someone who's not a friend.
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I think the biggest thing, if you're working with a, like...
- 19:32SPEAKER_01: If you have a good coach, then the biggest thing is they're just asking you the questions that no one else is asking you.
- 19:38SPEAKER_01: They're asking you the questions you never ask yourself, the hard questions to really make you think.
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: And the purpose is to just ask those questions, expand your awareness.
- 19:47SPEAKER_01: We're so tunnel vision.
- 19:48SPEAKER_01: So having a coach ask you questions you never think about or ask yourself, that's where the success starts to happen because that's when you're able to expand your thinking and see different options, see different things that could be available to you in your life.
- 20:03SPEAKER_01: Totally.
- 20:04SPEAKER_01: You know, that's true.
- 20:05SPEAKER_01: I was in a coaching session last night.
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: And I had to explain what happened to me over the last month.
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: And I was so like, I didn't have like a mental explanation for myself.
- 20:19SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm like, I can't, I know that this has happened.
- 20:22SPEAKER_01: But I feel like there's something stopping me from understanding it.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: And the lady I was speaking with, All she said was one sentence, and I went, oh, my God, I got it.
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: And she started laughing at me, and she was like, you had the whole month to think about that, and all you needed for me to say was this one sentence.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, yeah, because that sentence never came to me, right?
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: So it just was like maybe a rewording, right?
- 20:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, exactly.
- 20:47SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 20:49SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: How long did you commit to your success before you gave up?
- 20:56SPEAKER_01: Well, I haven't given up yet, so I'm still committed.
- 20:58SPEAKER_01: Awesome.
- 21:00SPEAKER_01: I love hearing that, right?
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: Because you're still, like you're still, okay, I mean, obviously still growing, right?
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: Your coaching business keeps you doing your own personal development as well.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, for sure.
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: And I work with a coach.
- 21:18SPEAKER_01: I work with a number of coaches, and I would never not work with a coach.
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: I think that having that accountability that says, the proper structures of support is so important.
- 21:29SPEAKER_01: And so even if I wasn't in this career, I would be working with coaches.
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, now that you know how beneficial they are.
- 21:37SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 21:41SPEAKER_01: What do you think your fashion style says about you?
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: And do you think it matters?
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: I do think it matters.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: And I think my style is either...
- 21:51SPEAKER_01: I don't really know.
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: I think it's, like, confident but relaxed most of the time.
- 21:58SPEAKER_01: Like, I just like to be comfortable but not, like, sweatpants-y.
- 22:03SPEAKER_01: Well, sweatpants at home.
- 22:04SPEAKER_01: But I don't know.
- 22:04SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: Really, that's a hard question.
- 22:07SPEAKER_01: That's the hardest question so far.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: Every time I've seen you, you always look comfortable and confident for sure.
- 22:16UNKNOWN: Okay.
- 22:17SPEAKER_01: You know, well, I mean, we're living in a world where we don't have to dress up in suits and high heels anymore.
- 22:25SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 22:25SPEAKER_01: It's very uncommon to see like the average.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: I mean, I've been downtown here in Edmonton and I've seen it all.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: I've seen women dress, you know, with the high heels and the full suit.
- 22:35SPEAKER_01: But I've also seen women wearing like the casual and they look just as nice.
- 22:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: I mean, it depends on how you put your outfit together.
- 22:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 22:45UNKNOWN: Yeah.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: Awesome.
- 22:47SPEAKER_01: Can you tell our listeners maybe something that you're working on with your business?
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, right now I'm actually working on a course called The True Self Blueprint.
- 22:57SPEAKER_01: And this is a really, it's a do-it-your-own-pace course and it's actually coming out next week finally.
- 23:03SPEAKER_01: I've been working on this for pretty much most of the year.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: Just fine-tuning it and getting everything ready.
- 23:09SPEAKER_01: But it's all about getting to know who you are.
- 23:11SPEAKER_01: So many of us lose ourselves.
- 23:13SPEAKER_01: So who are you?
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: What's important to you?
- 23:15SPEAKER_01: What matters?
- 23:16SPEAKER_01: What are your values?
- 23:17SPEAKER_01: What do you care about?
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: And really discovering who your true self is and then you know looking to what would you love to create in your life that aligns with this and so there's all of these activities and videos and things that really take you to this process of getting to know who you are falling in love with yourself so obviously a huge self-love component a mindset component and then okay now what do you want to create in your life how do you want to live your life for you that aligns with who you are oh that sounds amazing That sounds really, really awesome.
