- 0:44Speaker 1: Mallory coming up. I'm gonna replay an interview we did
- 0:48Speaker 1: this past summer. Because hockey season has started again. That
- 0:53Speaker 1: means Daryl Ray's Ray is back on the air again
- 0:57Speaker 1: with the Dallas Stars, and we talked to him at
- 1:01Speaker 1: the end of last season. Of course, there's not a
- 1:04Speaker 1: lot of time between seasons. This was back in June,
- 1:07Speaker 1: but Razor was awarded the Forest Hewitt Memorial Award for
- 1:12Speaker 1: contributions to hockey, one of the highest honors the sports gives,
- 1:17Speaker 1: and always entertaining, always generous with his time, and always
- 1:23Speaker 1: fun to catch up to The Dallas Stars color analyst eloquence.
- 1:29Speaker 4: For Stars fans over decades.
- 1:32Speaker 1: His unique approach to painting a vivid picture as he
- 1:36Speaker 1: analyzes the play brings life and enjoyment for all to hear.
- 1:42Speaker 1: His use of language is nothing short of sheer wizardry.
- 1:47Speaker 1: He has earned his place among the best NHL broadcasters.
- 1:53Speaker 4: It's Macedonian. I added that part, razor, how are you?
- 2:00Speaker 6: I I'm fine.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Congratulations, my man.
- 2:07Speaker 6: Oh thank you.
- 2:08Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:08Speaker 6: It's a It's an incredible honor, obviously, but it's equally
- 2:15Speaker 6: as stunning to me. Like I'm just like, I'm not
- 2:18Speaker 6: one of those guys, but I guess I will be.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Uh you you were you are, you will be uh
- 2:27Speaker 1: and uh thank you always for for taking your time.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I've got so many questions in so little time.
- 2:36Speaker 6: Okay, fire away, Okay.
- 2:38Speaker 4: I was that.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I was at Game two, and it wasn't a great effort,
- 2:43Speaker 1: for sure, But when Darryl when when Darnell Nurse took
- 2:49Speaker 1: out repay heats, the air went out of the building
- 2:54Speaker 1: and I don't think the team ever recovered from that.
- 2:58Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, look in in uh and in the
- 3:04Speaker 6: moment I was hoping somebody do something. Look, there's always
- 3:10Speaker 6: the balance of you don't want to do anything completely
- 3:14Speaker 6: idiotic that loses you a game because you only get
- 3:17Speaker 6: four of those in a series. And at the same time,
- 3:22Speaker 6: I think a situation like that can have accumulative effect,
- 3:28Speaker 6: whether it's subconscious or or whatever. I mean, you got
- 3:32Speaker 6: like when you watch the Florida Panthers now and throughout
- 3:36Speaker 6: the playoffs, like if you mess with one of them,
- 3:39Speaker 6: you last night, somebody touched Bobrovsky, their goaltenders, Yes, and
- 3:44Speaker 6: basically the game came after them, Yes, after Arvidson. And
- 3:51Speaker 6: you don't have to, you know, go over the line
- 3:53Speaker 6: and do something idiotic and stupid and and put your team,
- 3:57Speaker 6: you know, shorthanded for a while. But you got to.
- 4:00Speaker 6: You got at least send a message that you know
- 4:02Speaker 6: we're not you want to do that to our guy? Okay,
- 4:05Speaker 6: well we'll go find your guys.
- 4:07Speaker 4: Hasn't that always been hockey?
- 4:09Speaker 6: Yeah? I mean to me, it has that. That's I
- 4:13Speaker 6: grew up on that in Western Canada. And you know,
- 4:18Speaker 6: our our championship teams of the late nineties were we're
- 4:22Speaker 6: certainly that, you know, just ask Jeremy Ronik's jaw.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Hey, I was just going to bring that up.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Darien Hatcher never would have left something like that stand.
- 4:34Speaker 6: Yeah, it's just it. Look, yeah, I mean I believe
- 4:39Speaker 6: in it. Some people do, some people don't. Some people
- 4:44Speaker 6: think and they and they're correct a lot of times
- 4:47Speaker 6: that Look, we're not going to retaliate. Our retaliation will
- 4:51Speaker 6: be we'll be beating you in the series, beating you
- 4:55Speaker 6: on the scoreboard, and ultimately beating you in the series.
- 4:58Speaker 6: But then if that doesn't happen, and and your guy
- 5:01Speaker 6: got his foot broke and they went after the injury again,
- 5:05Speaker 6: thank you.
- 5:05Speaker 1: I'm glad you brought that up, because the next game,
- 5:08Speaker 1: because they knew they could do whatever the hell they
- 5:10Speaker 1: wanted without getting retaliated against, they tap him on the
- 5:15Speaker 1: ankle on the way to the bitch and I wanted
- 5:17Speaker 1: to jump through the screen and tackle the guy.
- 5:22Speaker 6: Yeah, I look, I was the same. I mean, look,
- 5:25Speaker 6: they can probably stay from their side, you know. Mason
- 5:29Speaker 6: Marchman injured Zach Hyman knocked him out for the rest
- 5:33Speaker 6: of the playoffs with a hit I didn't see anybody
- 5:36Speaker 6: go over and and try to capitate marchmen.
- 5:40Speaker 4: But was it that? Was it that a little cleaner hit?
- 5:43Speaker 6: Yeah, a little bit, but still it doesn't matter.
- 5:46Speaker 4: I mean, you get it.
- 5:47Speaker 6: You injured guy, you injured guy. But yeah, it was
- 5:52Speaker 6: I found it. I found it weird. That would be
- 5:55Speaker 6: the way I would summon that that they were like
- 6:00Speaker 6: it was. It looked like it was the conscious decision
- 6:05Speaker 6: not to do anything. I'm sure there were lots. Look,
- 6:08Speaker 6: I know those guys. There are plenty of guys that
- 6:10Speaker 6: were probably just foaming wanting to do something about it.
- 6:14Speaker 4: You know, Razor, you're on the air.
- 6:16Speaker 1: But I think it was Emily Kaplan between periods who
- 6:22Speaker 1: said the message was clear from the locker room from.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Pete to Boor.
- 6:26Speaker 1: That's not who we are, guys. We're not gonna take,
- 6:30Speaker 1: you know, an unnecessary penalty. Let's just go out and
- 6:34Speaker 1: play the game. And whether that or was or wasn't said,
- 6:38Speaker 1: that was what was reported.
- 6:40Speaker 6: I'll put it this way. I played with guys that
- 6:43Speaker 6: have ignored with the coach, sure to.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Which brings me to this point.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Had Pete de Boor lost the locker room before he
- 6:52Speaker 1: took down Otter in the post game.
- 6:55Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I don't look, that was a big that
- 6:59Speaker 6: was a big deal. But it wasn't the only thing.
- 7:02Speaker 6: I don't believe the win on you know there there
- 7:07Speaker 6: had to have been a little little bit more to it,
- 7:10Speaker 6: that isn't you know, not that it was just a
- 7:12Speaker 6: one off. Yes, you know, it was just such a mess. God,
- 7:17Speaker 6: it was just it was uncharacteristic and it was it
- 7:21Speaker 6: was shocking to hear, like we were sitting in our
- 7:24Speaker 6: booth after after they had lost out. Yeah, and you know,
- 7:30Speaker 6: stuff happened in the game. It was a weird feeling
- 7:34Speaker 6: in the building. You know, two shots, seven minutes in,
- 7:37Speaker 6: they're down two to nothing. It was like we were rewitnessing
- 7:41Speaker 6: Game seven against Saint Louis in twenty sixteen, again where
- 7:45Speaker 6: everybody was expecting one thing and the game was over
- 7:48Speaker 6: in ten minutes. They were down three nothing. But you know,
- 7:53Speaker 6: so whatever, you know, coaches, these coaches that one of
- 7:56Speaker 6: the tricks in their bag is they can pull a
- 7:59Speaker 6: goaltender and it can shake things up. And I've said
- 8:03Speaker 6: it before, you know, it's it's a kin to the
- 8:07Speaker 6: general managers always saying, well, look, we can't fire you know,
- 8:11Speaker 6: ten hockey players, so we had to fire the coach.
- 8:14Speaker 6: Yet you know that I always I always try to
- 8:17Speaker 6: point out to people there there are there are two
- 8:19Speaker 6: individuals within our sport really that have wins and losses
- 8:24Speaker 6: attached to them. One one aren't coaches and the other
- 8:27Speaker 6: are goaltenders. Like like, you don't you don't have a
- 8:31Speaker 6: left winger that has a win loss record like he has.
- 8:35Speaker 6: He has a statistics.
- 8:38Speaker 1: He's not plus mind us, but right.
- 8:43Speaker 6: But goaltenders have goals against average, and they have whatever.
- 8:46Speaker 6: But they they have they have losses and wins. Coaches
- 8:50Speaker 6: have losses and wins. So they're a little bit of
- 8:53Speaker 6: a different animal. And and they're they have this symbiotic
- 8:56Speaker 6: relationship with one another because I've never met a coach
- 9:01Speaker 6: that is worth his weight that doesn't have an elite goaltender, right,
- 9:07Speaker 6: or the other way around, a coach that got seward
- 9:10Speaker 6: somewhere along the way, and you can usually trace it
- 9:14Speaker 6: back to the you know, he didn't get great goaltending, right,
- 9:17Speaker 6: So anyway, it's a long way to go around to
- 9:20Speaker 6: the actual incident. And that which was here here was
- 9:25Speaker 6: my thing chip, Like you have you have two weapons
- 9:29Speaker 6: that you're avail as a coach in that situation, like
- 9:32Speaker 6: you need the game to stop right, like it's going
- 9:34Speaker 6: in a right terrible direction.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Yes, so you can.
- 9:39Speaker 6: You can do the slow poll of your goaltender. And
- 9:42Speaker 6: I've seen this before. I think this is what he
- 9:44Speaker 6: should have done. Should have pulled Jake told Jake, as
- 9:48Speaker 6: he's pulling him, you're going back in. Yeah.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I kept waiting for that too, especially after they kind
- 9:53Speaker 1: of got it close once or twice.
- 9:55Speaker 6: Yeah. Yeah, but I'm saying like right away, like okay,
- 9:59Speaker 6: Like my idea would be, you can use your time,
- 10:03Speaker 6: you can use your your pull. You can pull a
- 10:05Speaker 6: goaltender as many times you want in the game. Sure,
- 10:08Speaker 6: you only have one time out. So the idea would
- 10:12Speaker 6: be that you pull your goaltender as he's as he's
- 10:15Speaker 6: leaving the game and the other guy's you know, you
- 10:17Speaker 6: tell the other guy take your time getting in there,
- 10:20Speaker 6: you know, So he's putting his gear on it, that's
- 10:23Speaker 6: the time that he can gather in the whole team
- 10:25Speaker 6: and talk to them and settle them down. At the
- 10:28Speaker 6: same time, Jake gets a moment to reset himself. And
- 10:33Speaker 6: then you know, if the idea being that within the
- 10:39Speaker 6: next five to ten minutes, you're going back in there again,
- 10:43Speaker 6: like we're just doing this just to settle down, and
- 10:45Speaker 6: then you're gonna go back and sell you down, settle
- 10:47Speaker 6: the team down. But what he did is he took
- 10:50Speaker 6: his time out and he pulled the goaltender at the
- 10:54Speaker 6: same time, which to me, to me was bizarre because
- 10:59Speaker 6: he wasted essentially wasted both of those things. And you know,
- 11:04Speaker 6: he was mad and he wanted to yell at him,
- 11:06Speaker 6: he wanted to gather him, he wanted to stop the game.
- 11:08Speaker 6: All those things. Well, then you get to the end
- 11:11Speaker 6: of the game and that that's when we were just
- 11:14Speaker 6: like we were just looking at each other, like is
- 11:16Speaker 6: he really saying this?
- 11:17Speaker 4: Where'd that come from?
- 11:19Speaker 6: Yeah? I think I'd never I'd never heard him like that,
- 11:25Speaker 6: and you know, like Jake didn't deserve it. And again
- 11:29Speaker 6: I go back to, you know, wins and losses. It's like,
- 11:32Speaker 6: you know, he's pointing out like he'd lot you know,
- 11:34Speaker 6: Jake lost six to seven. It wasn't just change, it
- 11:39Speaker 6: was all of.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Sir, you played.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Did do you not want a coach to come out
- 11:44Speaker 1: and first, first and foremost take responsibility right and say, hey,
- 11:50Speaker 1: this was terrible and this is on me. You know,
- 11:53Speaker 1: it's my job to have this team prepared and ready
- 11:56Speaker 1: to play in a huge game.
- 11:59Speaker 4: And I didn't do that.
- 12:01Speaker 6: Yeah, of course, doesn't.
- 12:03Speaker 4: Every player in the locker room want to hear that.
- 12:07Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean you want to know that you're all
- 12:08Speaker 6: in it together and and that that he you know,
- 12:15Speaker 6: he's going to have your back.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:17Speaker 6: There's that old saying that that coaches win players and
- 12:20Speaker 6: players win games, and with it seemed like the polar
- 12:26Speaker 6: opposite to that. And a lot of it started early
- 12:29Speaker 6: in the game, Like he we were sitting at the
- 12:33Speaker 6: press conference in the morning, and you know, and I
- 12:36Speaker 6: feel bad for these coaches. They have to talk every
- 12:39Speaker 6: day and it can be a grind, and I think
- 12:42Speaker 6: sometimes they say things they don't even mean. They're just
- 12:45Speaker 6: you know, filling the time allotment and then trying to
- 12:49Speaker 6: get out of there. But but he somebody asked him
- 12:52Speaker 6: about because they weren't scoring. It wasn't you know, like Jake,
- 12:56Speaker 6: it wasn't like they were losing six to five every
- 12:58Speaker 6: game and score goals. And in the morning he said, well,
- 13:04Speaker 6: if somebody asked me, said well, look I can't, you
- 13:06Speaker 6: either said I can't or we can't coach the puck
- 13:09Speaker 6: end of the net. And I was kind of like,
- 13:12Speaker 6: all right, then, why are you here. Well, somebody's somebody's
- 13:16Speaker 6: basically stated I got you know, I got my man
- 13:19Speaker 6: and exactly you know so, and the rest of it
- 13:22Speaker 6: can go that way. So it was just again just
- 13:26Speaker 6: the just a mind bending and to what had been
- 13:32Speaker 6: another great run to the Western Conference final, you know, like.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I mean, they've got a scratch and claw and fight
- 13:39Speaker 1: against two great teams and you knew edmundton'sload and everybody
- 13:45Speaker 1: knew that, but the way they did it, they're finally,
- 13:49Speaker 1: well they righted the ship after the horrible way the
- 13:52Speaker 1: season and that they have fought and clawed back and
- 13:54Speaker 1: they have won these games, and you're going, well, I
- 13:58Speaker 1: think this team as well, and it takes to call
- 14:01Speaker 1: the distance.
- 14:02Speaker 6: Yeah, well, you wouldn't find anybody that would argue against
- 14:07Speaker 6: you on that. After they dispatched the Winnipeg Jets in
- 14:11Speaker 6: six games, you know, Jake out played a guy, absolutely,
- 14:18Speaker 6: and he's up for MVP of the Year and Jake
- 14:21Speaker 6: out played him, and the team played played well like
- 14:24Speaker 6: they were a better team and you were, and they
- 14:27Speaker 6: were getting guys back, and you were just like, okay,
- 14:30Speaker 6: here you go. Like I had him beat in Edmonton.
- 14:33Speaker 6: I thought they'd be in the Stanley Cup Final for sure.
- 14:36Speaker 6: And then and then all of a sudden, all the
- 14:40Speaker 6: things that happened the year prior against Edmonton happened again.
- 14:43Speaker 6: They couldn't score. The difference I guess would be either
- 14:47Speaker 6: their their power play actually did score a little bit
- 14:51Speaker 6: the one game that they won. They only won it
- 14:54Speaker 6: because of their power play, which was different than the
- 14:57Speaker 6: year before. But you know, Jake, you could sit there
- 15:00Speaker 6: and and as a former goaltender, I could say, yeah,
- 15:03Speaker 6: their guy played better, there's no question. But he played better.
- 15:08Speaker 6: But so did their best players. You know. They they
- 15:13Speaker 6: had their they had their top dogs that that could
- 15:16Speaker 6: just take over games and score at the right time
- 15:18Speaker 6: and and all those things, and and they moved on.
- 15:22Speaker 6: The one that was really strange watching it was, uh,
- 15:27Speaker 6: you know, stars teams of past have always been able
- 15:32Speaker 6: to muster something up when they when they were up
- 15:36Speaker 6: against his third periods, and these guys couldn't get it.
- 15:40Speaker 6: They couldn't get out of their own shadow. You know,
- 15:43Speaker 6: they were generating like three and four shots. There was
- 15:46Speaker 6: no desperation. I didn't understand. I didn't understand the way
- 15:49Speaker 6: they were playing there. All of a sudden, they were
- 15:51Speaker 6: playing like a very territorial, you know, dump and go
- 15:56Speaker 6: bump style of play, and that's not really the way
- 15:59Speaker 6: that that they played there, puck possession team, and they
- 16:04Speaker 6: essentially they were just giving the puck back to the
- 16:06Speaker 6: Oilers over and over again and couldn't mount any kind
- 16:09Speaker 6: of attack, and and then went out with a with
- 16:12Speaker 6: pretty much a whimper. In the final few games after that,
- 16:17Speaker 6: you know, heroic power play driven Game one, they get
- 16:22Speaker 6: shut out. They they couldn't score up in Edmonton, and
- 16:25Speaker 6: then and then they obviously couldn't score enough to win
- 16:30Speaker 6: in the elimination game in game five.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Okay, I'm not saying it would have changed the whole series,
- 16:34Speaker 1: but somebody driving Darnell h a nurse into the boards
- 16:39Speaker 1: may have changed.
- 16:41Speaker 8: I like you.
- 16:43Speaker 6: I like your thinking. Look, I don't know, I have
- 16:46Speaker 6: no idea what the conversations were on the ice and
- 16:50Speaker 6: or what the conversations were in the room and that,
- 16:53Speaker 6: but I'm with you, like I wanted at least somebody
- 16:56Speaker 6: with a Harry, you know, thank the Harry eyeball, thank.
- 16:58Speaker 4: You, thank you. That's all I'm asking, man, that is
- 17:01Speaker 4: all I'm asking so.
- 17:02Speaker 6: And and the actual injury itself was you know, look,
- 17:08Speaker 6: he could have slashed rope probably you know, five times
- 17:12Speaker 6: in different spots and you know it wouldn't have been anything.
- 17:15Speaker 6: But he nailed them with the heel of a stick
- 17:18Speaker 6: in the very perfect spot that broke his foot.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:22Speaker 6: Yeah, like it just that that that happened. But at
- 17:27Speaker 6: the same time, the repercussions seemed to be seemed to
- 17:31Speaker 6: be pretty limited. And uh and in the hindsight, they
- 17:35Speaker 6: probably are all feeling like, man, we probably should have
- 17:38Speaker 6: just went over and and you know, cross checked him
- 17:41Speaker 6: across the throat.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Okay, I'm glad I had you on it for nothing else.
- 17:49Speaker 1: I think I'll sleep better now because.
- 17:53Speaker 7: I just.
- 17:55Speaker 1: I clearly haven't gotten over that I paid for my
- 17:58Speaker 1: own seat and they're not shape for that game and
- 18:01Speaker 1: I totally demoralized, and I believe the team did too.
- 18:06Speaker 6: Yeah. Yeah, I just I don't like that. I I like,
- 18:11Speaker 6: I like the idea, and they've been that way in Pact.
- 18:14Speaker 6: I don't I don't know what. I don't know what
- 18:17Speaker 6: it was like, Like you think of the series before
- 18:20Speaker 6: and you know, Jamie Ben left Game five early after
- 18:24Speaker 6: punching their best player. Yeah, in the head, like they
- 18:28Speaker 6: had lots of fight, They had lots of pushback in that. Yes,
- 18:32Speaker 6: and then and then that that I had more of
- 18:36Speaker 6: an issue with Bouchard and going after it up in Edmonton,
- 18:41Speaker 6: you know in game what would that have been Game four? Yeah, yeah,
- 18:46Speaker 6: just because like he was, he's trying to injure him again,
- 18:49Speaker 6: like like he's trying to.
- 18:50Speaker 4: Injure the last game three that was the next game.
- 18:53Speaker 6: No, because he didn't play game.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Oh, you're right, you're right, you're right, all right. So
- 18:59Speaker 1: and Jim mill I trust Is that a good slogan?
- 19:05Speaker 6: Well, yeah, I'm I mean, the rest of the general
- 19:08Speaker 6: managers all think he's the best GM in the league.
- 19:10Speaker 6: So you can argue against that, son be I don't God,
- 19:15Speaker 6: I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Like
- 19:19Speaker 6: like I if you listen to what what Jim is said,
- 19:24Speaker 6: you know, like he it's it's not something that you
- 19:27Speaker 6: want to do, right. I can't imagine as a as
- 19:29Speaker 6: a GM, like like you're knocking on the door, like
- 19:32Speaker 6: you've got a right there, back to back Western Conference
- 19:36Speaker 6: finals last the previous two years, you've been six six
- 19:40Speaker 6: wins away from winning a Cup. This year you were seven,
- 19:44Speaker 6: and and you're you're sitting there and you're like, Okay,
- 19:47Speaker 6: now we're gonna We're going to change pass here at
- 19:51Speaker 6: one of the most critical positions, your you're head coach.
- 19:56Speaker 6: But I've seen it before where where franchises have have
- 20:00Speaker 6: basically said, with the guy that they have, we we've
- 20:03Speaker 6: plate owed this is where we ain't getting through this. Now.
- 20:08Speaker 6: I believe it could go. It can go two ways,
- 20:12Speaker 6: and both of them can be healthy, you know. They
- 20:16Speaker 6: they can they can hire somebody, they can get back
- 20:18Speaker 6: to the same spot. They can push through, they can
- 20:21Speaker 6: get to the final, they can win a cup, or
- 20:24Speaker 6: they can hire somebody different. They might have to take
- 20:26Speaker 6: a mini step backwards, you know, sort of reassert themselves
- 20:33Speaker 6: and then push through and and be a good team again.
- 20:36Speaker 6: Like there's too many good players and too much of
- 20:40Speaker 6: a of a championship pedigree looking corps for it to
- 20:46Speaker 6: just say well, because I've I've heard some people already
- 20:49Speaker 6: try to try to you know, their windows.
- 20:52Speaker 7: Now.
- 20:52Speaker 1: I don't believe that they have got a great core
- 20:55Speaker 1: of young young stars.
- 20:57Speaker 6: Yeah, they and they're they're really they're there guys are
- 21:02Speaker 6: just coming into their prime that are that are sort
- 21:05Speaker 6: of the soul of this thing, you know, the course,
- 21:08Speaker 6: So what would they do for a coach, Like if
- 21:13Speaker 6: it was three years or excuse me, three months ago,
- 21:16Speaker 6: four months, No, it's an easy it's probably an easier
- 21:20Speaker 6: avenue to go like there there would then you then
- 21:23Speaker 6: you would at least introduce the thought of hiring someone
- 21:27Speaker 6: at that position that has won a cop or cops before.
- 21:31Speaker 6: So you know Joe Quinville, uh, Creig Craig Berub and
- 21:37Speaker 6: know there's still some guys out there towards is out
- 21:40Speaker 6: there and he's won in that. But I I don't
- 21:42Speaker 6: know that they're going to go that way. I I
- 21:44Speaker 6: could see them going going younger, but but maybe not
- 21:51Speaker 6: super young with no, I can't see them going young
- 21:54Speaker 6: with no experience at the NHL level that that would
- 21:57Speaker 6: be surprising. But you know, like you look back a
- 22:03Speaker 6: couple of years ago when when Montgomery was hired here,
- 22:08Speaker 6: ye like, yeah, I think we were in a bit
- 22:13Speaker 6: of a different spot at that time, but still it
- 22:16Speaker 6: was like, this is a guy I could see coming
- 22:20Speaker 6: in who's been a champion at a different level and
- 22:22Speaker 6: can coach this thing and and we're going to get
- 22:25Speaker 6: better and and we think, we think this is a
- 22:28Speaker 6: guy we can win it all with. And then things
- 22:30Speaker 6: went sideways with him. But you can see that, you know,
- 22:35Speaker 6: you saw him in Boston, you can see him in
- 22:37Speaker 6: Saint Louis like he can coach. Uh. You can see
- 22:40Speaker 6: why they thought that way and why Jim would have
- 22:43Speaker 6: thought that way. So maybe there's maybe there's a two
- 22:47Speaker 6: point zero of that out there available. I know Graham's
- 22:53Speaker 6: well thought of with the American Hockey League team, and
- 22:55Speaker 6: I'm thinking, you know, if the Texas Stars WINNA, if
- 22:59Speaker 6: they if they could, if they want it this year
- 23:02Speaker 6: with that change, you know, your view of him thinking, well,
- 23:07Speaker 6: he needs maybe a little bit of NHL seasoning. I
- 23:11Speaker 6: don't know. I don't know, Like I think one of
- 23:14Speaker 6: the good examples right now is is the guy who
- 23:16Speaker 6: just won Coach of the Year in the NHL, Spencer Carbury.
- 23:21Speaker 6: But but if you you know, he in Washington, he
- 23:25Speaker 6: had to deal with an older, you know, an older,
- 23:28Speaker 6: younger team like they were introducing some younger, faster players.
- 23:31Speaker 6: He's still dealing with Ovechkin and that as his captain.
- 23:35Speaker 6: But had some really good uh, you know, a guy
- 23:37Speaker 6: like Kirk Muller, a veteran assistant coach with him there,
- 23:42Speaker 6: but when you looked at his resume, like Carbury's been
- 23:46Speaker 6: named coach of the Year at every level he's coached in,
- 23:50Speaker 6: like in the East Coast Hockey League, the American Hockey
- 23:53Speaker 6: League and now the National Hockey League. Like like the
- 23:56Speaker 6: guy can coach, you can, you can, you can see it.
- 23:59Speaker 6: I don't care how many any shell games he's coached,
- 24:02Speaker 6: but you got to if you're gonna go that way,
- 24:05Speaker 6: I believe you have to give them some some support.
- 24:09Speaker 6: You need, you need a you need sort of a
- 24:11Speaker 6: senior advisor right there with them. So maybe maybe that's
- 24:16Speaker 6: the direction that this thing goes. I I have I
- 24:19Speaker 6: have no idea. It's just that the timing of every
- 24:24Speaker 6: everything is is not advantageous because there aren't a lot
- 24:30Speaker 6: of individuals that you would look at and say, well, yeah,
- 24:34Speaker 6: there's there's a guy that we can bring in here
- 24:37Speaker 6: that that knows the blueprint to get this thing done.
- 24:40Speaker 6: So I'm sure the search is going to be extensive
- 24:45Speaker 6: and the interview process. It's just a weird thing again
- 24:49Speaker 6: to go from that that amount of winning to uh,
- 24:55Speaker 6: you know, essentially a fresh start at the position. But
- 24:59Speaker 6: obviously the feeling from players and management was that that's
- 25:03Speaker 6: that's what's needed, and the way things ended, you wouldn't
- 25:07Speaker 6: get an awful lot of argument from the exterior as well.
- 25:12Speaker 1: I wish I had about another three hours with you,
- 25:14Speaker 1: but I don't, so I'm gonna have to bid you
- 25:19Speaker 1: ad but you're not.
- 25:21Speaker 6: What do you think? Let me ask you, what do
- 25:23Speaker 6: you think they're gonna do? Which direction?
- 25:27Speaker 1: Young kind I'm kind of I'm kind of with you
- 25:30Speaker 1: in that I think they're at a point with this
- 25:34Speaker 1: roster that they might not want to bring in a
- 25:38Speaker 1: guy who doesn't have that experience.
- 25:43Speaker 4: But you know what I would go. You know how
- 25:47Speaker 4: in every sport razor.
- 25:49Speaker 1: You go, you seem to hire the opposite from the
- 25:53Speaker 1: guy you just had. I mean that's always the case,
- 25:56Speaker 1: right if you had this, if you had this rough time,
- 26:00Speaker 1: disciplinarian guy and that didn't work, then you go to
- 26:03Speaker 1: a guy that like Pete Carroll kind.
- 26:05Speaker 4: Of you know what I'm saying. So I don't know
- 26:09Speaker 4: who that is right now?
- 26:12Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't know. I don't either, right. I mean,
- 26:16Speaker 6: there are names, and you can some of them. I
- 26:18Speaker 6: know some of them. I know, But at the same time,
- 26:22Speaker 6: I don't think you're wrong. That is as old as time.
- 26:25Speaker 6: Good cop, bad cop.
- 26:26Speaker 4: Yep, Yeah, you know, like yep.
- 26:28Speaker 6: And but here's the difference. In twenty twenty five. There
- 26:33Speaker 6: aren't as many bad cops remaining because it just doesn't work,
- 26:38Speaker 6: you know, right there, there are harder cops, but there
- 26:43Speaker 6: are not a lot of not of what you would
- 26:45Speaker 6: categorize after.
- 26:46Speaker 1: What I after what I saw in Game two, I
- 26:48Speaker 1: need a harder cop, right, That's that's all I'm saying.
- 26:51Speaker 4: I need a harder cop.
- 26:53Speaker 6: I know, you do. I know. Well this, well, maybe
- 26:58Speaker 6: maybe they'll get back at next year.
- 27:01Speaker 1: You know it took Hey, it took Hatcher the next
- 27:04Speaker 1: season to take out Ronick, didn't it.
- 27:08Speaker 6: Now it took him about a week.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Oh okay, okay, that's a long time ago.
- 27:12Speaker 4: And my I'm all my memory is fuzzy.
- 27:15Speaker 1: So yeah, hey, you're you're you're coming back, right, I
- 27:20Speaker 1: don't have to worry about that, right, You're You're gonna
- 27:23Speaker 1: be in Dallas next year.
- 27:24Speaker 6: No, it's it's the Hall of Fame, not retirement.
- 27:31Speaker 9: This is this is the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award winner
- 27:35Speaker 9: for Outstanding contributions as a hockey broadcaster and as a
- 27:40Speaker 9: guest on this show.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Razor, I can't thank you enough really, so thanks man, Okay,
- 27:48Speaker 1: I appreciate it.
- 27:49Speaker 4: That's the that's the great Razor Ray. Oh my gosh.
- 27:52Speaker 4: I could have him on every every day.
- 27:55Speaker 1: I'd won an award. Will and I were just talking
- 27:59Speaker 1: about that. You know, I wouldn't even have to apply
- 28:03Speaker 1: to win an award. If I could have a Razor
- 28:05Speaker 1: on every day. This would be an award winning show
- 28:09Speaker 1: because he's an award winner.

- 31:47Speaker 1: have more news on the budding Bobby Flay Brook Williamson romance.
- 31:54Speaker 7: A romance I keep forgetting about, but sure yes.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Bobby, answering questions to his Instagram followers, yesterday, was asked
- 32:06Speaker 1: about his thoughts on each of his shows they call
- 32:12Speaker 1: them Titans. On Bobby's Triple Threat, Michael Battaglio, Aisha Nurjaja,
- 32:18Speaker 1: and of course Brook, he wrote, Baltagio's strength is creativity,
- 32:24Speaker 1: that is only his Nurjai brought impact to the show.
- 32:30Speaker 1: I relate mostly to her approach. The flavor is always evident.
- 32:35Speaker 1: As for Williamson, flay says her best quality was quote
- 32:40Speaker 1: the delicious factor. She always finds the balance on every dish.
- 32:51Speaker 1: This has been going on apparently since March. Uh okay,
- 32:57Speaker 1: you know, I told you that we're spotted with some
- 33:00Speaker 1: PDA at the US Open last week celebrating her birthday.
- 33:06Speaker 4: In June.
- 33:07Speaker 1: And I missed this because you know, generally by July
- 33:11Speaker 1: I'm gone, So I missed this whole thing. He did
- 33:14Speaker 1: an interview apparently with People magazine, saying I've been friends
- 33:19Speaker 1: with Brooke forever. He reflected on the similarities. I love
- 33:25Speaker 1: working with Brooke. We have a lot in common. We're
- 33:29Speaker 1: both chefs, we both have kids, we're both parents. Williamson
- 33:35Speaker 1: has a son from a previous marriage to Nick Roberts.
- 33:40Speaker 1: Flay has a daughter, Sophie, who is in the TV business.
- 33:45Speaker 1: We're both in the restaurant business, says Bobby. We have
- 33:49Speaker 1: tons to talk about in terms of the things that
- 33:52Speaker 1: we love to do besides just go and have dinner.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Ever once in a while, it's been really great. One
- 33:58Speaker 1: of the things I like about being in a relationship
- 34:01Speaker 1: with Brooke is she's great to bounce things off of.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Like we ask each other's opinion about things that we're doing,
- 34:10Speaker 1: food wise or restaurant wise, or business wise. It's nice
- 34:16Speaker 1: to have a best friend that you're dating that can
- 34:20Speaker 1: be helpful answering the questions you have. I mean, is
- 34:26Speaker 1: this the first time Bobby has ever been with someone
- 34:30Speaker 1: that can answer questions that he has?
- 34:34Speaker 7: What's been going on in your priory?
- 34:36Speaker 1: You know, after three or four marriages and lots of
- 34:39Speaker 1: other relationships.
- 34:40Speaker 4: It's like, Hey, I could talk to her. Wait a minute,
- 34:47Speaker 4: that's that is crazy. Who knew?
- 34:51Speaker 7: Who knew?
- 34:52Speaker 16: Hey?
- 34:53Speaker 4: Guess what I have? The new bachelorette?
- 34:59Speaker 7: Oh I did hear about this?
- 35:01Speaker 4: Actually announced today.
- 35:04Speaker 1: The bachelorette is Taylor Frankie Paul, star of the Secret
- 35:14Speaker 1: Lives of Mormon Wives. The announcement after ABC confirmed in
- 35:22Speaker 1: March the dating show would not err in July, as
- 35:26Speaker 1: it had for the past three years, but The Secret
- 35:31Speaker 1: Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul thirty one
- 35:36Speaker 1: announced it on I Guess a podcast called Call Her
- 35:45Speaker 1: Daddy with Alex Cooper.
- 35:48Speaker 7: You haven't heard of that podcast?
- 35:49Speaker 6: No?
- 35:50Speaker 4: No, I have not? Should I have not surprised?
- 35:53Speaker 7: But no, it's okay, Okay, thank you, it's fine.
- 35:56Speaker 6: I'll give you a pass.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Okay, I guess surreal. It's not hit me right now,
- 36:01Speaker 1: she says, I'm just thinking about it. It's not real,
- 36:07Speaker 1: and it's not going to be until the limo is
- 36:10Speaker 1: pulling up, you know, adding she's quote nervous.
- 36:16Speaker 4: How did I get here? In my head, I'm like,
- 36:19Speaker 4: how is this happening? The mom of three.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Went on to share that her being on the show
- 36:29Speaker 1: started as a joke three years ago, which she made
- 36:35Speaker 1: on apparently TikTok. I don't know if that got their attention.
- 36:41Speaker 1: It was mainly a joke. Then we had a meeting.
- 36:45Speaker 1: I still don't believe it until I got the invitation.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Will you be our bachelorette?
- 36:53Speaker 4: Paul went on to.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Admit that she has some reservations, as well as confirming
- 37:00Speaker 1: she's still going to be part of the Secret Lives
- 37:03Speaker 1: of Mormon Wives.
- 37:06Speaker 4: How do I make this work? I'm a co parent.
- 37:10Speaker 1: I have two baby daddies, not one. I'm dealing with
- 37:16Speaker 1: two different people, my children, my home base. Can I
- 37:21Speaker 1: travel that long? Can I be gone that long? But
- 37:25Speaker 1: then I'm thinking on the side, the other two moms
- 37:29Speaker 1: that are in the group are doing Dancing with the
- 37:33Speaker 1: Stars and they brought their family out, but they also
- 37:38Speaker 1: have their husbands. So for me, I'm like, is it
- 37:42Speaker 1: possible for me to excuse me? I'm sorry to do
- 37:46Speaker 1: a single mind, let's be serious about this. I'm trying
- 37:50Speaker 1: to be serious about this. That's where husband, Yeah, can
- 37:54Speaker 1: I make it work realistically, no matter how much I
- 37:58Speaker 1: want this? And I was like, I can, if you
- 38:02Speaker 1: want to, you can. It comes down to that. So
- 38:06Speaker 1: I'm like, I will make it work. I can ask
- 38:11Speaker 1: for help more.
- 38:12Speaker 7: She says, do it in the name of love.
- 38:16Speaker 4: This isn't right. This isn't the Golden Bachelorette. This is
- 38:20Speaker 4: just the bachelorette. Since when did we have bachelorettes with
- 38:24Speaker 4: three kids?
- 38:26Speaker 7: Well, it's honestly, I feel like in this day and age,
- 38:30Speaker 7: maybe a little more realistic, although the pose show.
- 38:34Speaker 15: I don't.
- 38:35Speaker 7: Yeah, you know, I don't know.
- 38:41Speaker 1: So I'm assuming for you girl, I'm assuming that on
- 38:45Speaker 1: the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and she already already
- 38:50Speaker 1: talks about having two baby daddies, so that she was.
- 38:56Speaker 4: Married at the same time to a couple of different guys.
- 39:00Speaker 7: So there there's They became famous on TikTok and I
- 39:04Speaker 7: know way more about this than I actually care about.
- 39:10Speaker 7: But I don't watch the show. I would have I
- 39:12Speaker 7: probably would have loved this show. If I would have
- 39:13Speaker 7: watched it, but you know how I am. If I
- 39:15Speaker 7: don't start the first season, it's over for me. I'm
- 39:17Speaker 7: not going to go back and watch it. So I
- 39:20Speaker 7: didn't watch it. And but they all start. It's a
- 39:23Speaker 7: group of Mormon moms, yes, or wives. I guess they're
- 39:27Speaker 7: called mom talk because they all started. It's like a
- 39:30Speaker 7: little gaggle of blondes. There's a couple of brunettes. I
- 39:32Speaker 7: think she's a brunette. They all look the same to me,
- 39:35Speaker 7: I don't know. Two of them are on Dancing with
- 39:37Speaker 7: the Stars, and I was actually surprised that she the
- 39:39Speaker 7: one who's now the Bachelorette, which all makes sense now
- 39:42Speaker 7: because she's a fan favorite. So I was kind of surprised.
- 39:45Speaker 7: I was like, if these two are not her her,
- 39:48Speaker 7: it's kind of weird. But now it makes sense because
- 39:51Speaker 7: she's on the Bachelorette. So now they're taking not only
- 39:53Speaker 7: have they taken over reality TV, they're now taking over
- 39:57Speaker 7: more reality TV with different jobs.
- 39:58Speaker 1: Wow, So she's she's like the Hannah Brown of the
- 40:02Speaker 1: Bachelorettes now.
- 40:04Speaker 7: With baby daddies, with baby daddies. But I think she
- 40:09Speaker 7: actually is recently like going through heartbreak, like after that.
- 40:14Speaker 1: So you know what, So you know what happens when
- 40:18Speaker 1: you have kids, you have multiple husbands and it all
- 40:22Speaker 1: comes apart.
- 40:23Speaker 4: Then that the next logical step is to be the bachelorette.
- 40:29Speaker 6: Why not?
- 40:29Speaker 7: You know? I mean you don't think her ex baby
- 40:34Speaker 7: daddies aren't a little jealous that they can't be a bachelor.
- 40:37Speaker 7: I mean, I guess anything. Time will tell, but I mean,
- 40:40Speaker 7: why not for you?
- 40:41Speaker 6: Girl?
- 40:42Speaker 7: Look, she's seen her fate, she knows what her life
- 40:45Speaker 7: is like. She's like, I might as well milk this
- 40:47Speaker 7: money train.
- 40:49Speaker 4: I got three mouths, fee let's go up. Let's let's
- 40:53Speaker 4: go jetting around the resorts all over the world.
- 40:56Speaker 7: And if history does repeat itself. To be honest, she
- 40:59Speaker 7: could probably be on the next season, next the next
- 41:03Speaker 7: season of Uh. He has a very strong opinion about this.
- 41:08Speaker 4: A bachelor.
- 41:10Speaker 7: Yeah, well no, she could be. She does Bachelorette this year,
- 41:14Speaker 7: next year, she could be, you know, on Dancing with
- 41:19Speaker 7: the Stars.
- 41:20Speaker 4: And I'm not I don't think she's very far from
- 41:23Speaker 4: the Golden Bachelor atte.
- 41:25Speaker 5: So she's not that old.
- 41:27Speaker 4: I think she's in her she's thirty one. She's thirty one.
- 41:30Speaker 7: Okay, well, Chip, you know what now, You're making me
- 41:33Speaker 7: filled and I appreciate that because I'm usually a young
- 41:36Speaker 7: woman situation.
- 41:38Speaker 4: Okay, welcome to the club.
- 41:40Speaker 7: What do you got I'm not there yet. We talk
- 41:44Speaker 7: way too long about The Bachelor. Can't you do not
- 41:47Speaker 7: watch the Bachelor. Let's talk about something that might make
- 41:52Speaker 7: people snooze or doze off for a minute. King Charles
- 41:55Speaker 7: is heading to London from Scotland, fueling speculation that he
- 41:58Speaker 7: could meet with during his son's current trip to the
- 42:02Speaker 7: UK after spending time at the gosh busy European place
- 42:08Speaker 7: is just a castle. It's a castle, h including spending yes, uh,
- 42:15Speaker 7: I lost my train of sorry. Basically the place where
- 42:19Speaker 7: Queen Elizabeth did die three three years ago. He was
- 42:22Speaker 7: visiting that place. It was fought he was photographed lead
- 42:26Speaker 7: boarding a plane to go to London. So the hellet
- 42:30Speaker 7: reported as a monarch is heading to London where Prince
- 42:33Speaker 7: Harry is spending the day. So this is today. On Wednesday,
- 42:37Speaker 7: he visited, as we talked about, I believe yesterday. Yeah, yeah,
- 42:41Speaker 7: you know, yeah, blah blah blah. We don't need to
- 42:43Speaker 7: go into that. He did arrive September eighth, so he's
- 42:47Speaker 7: staying longer than a lot of people speculated. Again, he
- 42:52Speaker 7: did go to there for charitable reasons.
- 42:54Speaker 4: I can get together and put put aside their differences.
- 42:58Speaker 7: This is the if they do meet, this is going
- 43:01Speaker 7: to be the first time they see each other in
- 43:02Speaker 7: a year and a half.
- 43:03Speaker 6: Wow.
- 43:05Speaker 7: He met with the King in February twenty twenty four,
- 43:08Speaker 7: following King Charles cancer diagnosis, which, by the.
- 43:14Speaker 4: Way, we haven't heard much about that for a while,
- 43:16Speaker 4: have we.
- 43:17Speaker 7: Well, you know how these royals are. They like to
- 43:19Speaker 7: keep it under wraps unless it's something extremely positive. So
- 43:24Speaker 7: I don't know, but here's hoping they can make amend now.
- 43:29Speaker 7: So we wish them the best.
- 43:31Speaker 4: If they need a mediator, they can call me. Oh
- 43:34Speaker 4: my god, I would love Yeah, I.
- 43:37Speaker 7: See that I can help them, you mediating between I
- 43:39Speaker 7: could help him out, Harry and King Charles.
- 43:41Speaker 4: I could help him.
- 43:42Speaker 7: Out, I think so, I think. So give us a call,
- 43:44Speaker 7: give him a call. I have no problem. I'm just
- 43:47Speaker 7: going to talk about it later.
- 43:48Speaker 4: Yeah, moving on.
- 43:50Speaker 7: We don't talk about Jennifer Andison a lot. No, we don't. Uh,
- 43:55Speaker 7: but apparently she has something special in her life.
- 43:57Speaker 6: Sorry, it's about time.
- 43:59Speaker 7: No Bana sin after being discarded by brad Pitt those
- 44:03Speaker 7: years ago. She was in New York City yesterday to
- 44:06Speaker 7: celebrate the fourth season of the Morning Show, and her
- 44:08Speaker 7: boyfriend Jim Curtis joined her at the Museum of Modern
- 44:11Speaker 7: Art for the premiere. She stepped out in a sleek
- 44:15Speaker 7: black dress, sinched in the center to show off her
- 44:19Speaker 7: figure as she posed with co stars Reese Witherspoon.
- 44:24Speaker 6: And other people. I'm sorry, I don't know who they are.
- 44:27Speaker 7: Do you know who they are?
- 44:29Speaker 6: Okay?
- 44:30Speaker 7: Anyways, well if you care, I'm sorry, I don't. Is
- 44:35Speaker 7: Jim Carter, I think? Okay? Oh, Jim curt I don't
- 44:39Speaker 7: know who Jim Curtis is about it?
- 44:41Speaker 4: No, I don't know anything about him.
- 44:43Speaker 7: I'll have to google him later.
- 44:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:46Speaker 7: He was spotted smiling and sitting alongside her side on
- 44:49Speaker 7: the red carpet in an all black attire, including a
- 44:52Speaker 7: sweater and a casual black slack.
- 44:55Speaker 4: Good for him.
- 44:56Speaker 7: The actress did share about eighteen photos on instam talking
- 45:02Speaker 7: about the last few months, writing in the caption thank
- 45:04Speaker 7: You Summer. Among these photos were she did include a
- 45:08Speaker 7: sunset shot of a feature of a back of a
- 45:11Speaker 7: mystery man's home, which fans did speculate obviously that she
- 45:16Speaker 7: probably took standing behind Curtis, whoever this guy is. And
- 45:20Speaker 7: July she was spotted enjoying a yacht trip off the coast. Yeah,
- 45:24Speaker 7: like you do exactly, but she was joined with friends
- 45:28Speaker 7: Jason Bateman and his wife. Of course, there's that Curtis
- 45:32Speaker 7: was on the vacation.
- 45:34Speaker 1: By the way, Jason Bateman has a has a new
- 45:37Speaker 1: Netflix show starting next week that just looks awesome.
- 45:40Speaker 4: What Jude Law.
- 45:41Speaker 1: It's called The Black Rabbit. Yeah, I mean that looks
- 45:46Speaker 1: really good. I'm a big fan of Jason Bateman's I
- 45:49Speaker 1: like him.
- 45:50Speaker 7: I like Jason Bateman too. I'm okay with him. I'm
- 45:53Speaker 7: good with him. But yeah, so there's that. Just normal.
- 45:57Speaker 4: So Jennifer Anison has a boyfriend again.
- 46:02Speaker 7: His name is Jim Curtis. Yeah, I just uh, two
- 46:07Speaker 7: first names.
- 46:08Speaker 4: I don't see it. I don't see it. I'm sorry,
- 46:14Speaker 4: I just don't see it. I mean, she's sorry. She's
- 46:19Speaker 4: been through a lot of men.
- 46:22Speaker 7: Just okay, to be fair, I don't think it's her fault.
- 46:25Speaker 4: Oh it's all her fault. Every bed of it is
- 46:28Speaker 4: her fault.
- 46:28Speaker 7: You bet it well, Jennifer, keep it up. You could
- 46:31Speaker 7: be the Golden Bachelorette.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Yeah, you're Yes, she is very close to being the
- 46:35Speaker 1: Golden Bachelorette.
- 46:36Speaker 7: Actually it looks fantastic, though I'm not saying she doesn't.
- 46:39Speaker 1: She's had great work done. But uh, will be too
- 46:42Speaker 1: much longer she'll be on the Golden Bachelorette when this,
- 46:45Speaker 1: when this Jim Curtis thing all blows up in her face.
- 46:49Speaker 7: Whoever this Jim Curtis guy.
- 46:51Speaker 4: Hey, you google him and have some more information next

- 46:57Speaker 7: Still have no idea. Okay, there's that. You got anything
- 47:08Speaker 7: else to you? When we talk about.

- 47:24Speaker 7: Yes, she did, Jimmy Fallon. No, not with him, Blenny,
- 47:29Speaker 7: Anny blanc Her, Beyonce Chip, not Justin Bieber. She opened
- 47:37Speaker 7: up about who will be the ring bearer mate at
- 47:40Speaker 7: their wedding. Oh, man, could you imagine? It's wonderful. I'm
- 47:45Speaker 7: very lucky, she said of the wedding planning. As she
- 47:48Speaker 7: set to Uh sat next to her only murders in
- 47:52Speaker 7: the building, Coastars Martin Short and Steve Martin. It's going well.
- 47:56Speaker 7: I'm so excited. Asked if Shortened Martin Martin were invited
- 48:00Speaker 7: to the wedding, she did reply, of course, they are.
- 48:03Speaker 7: Marty's the reen bear nice so comedian and actor short
- 48:08Speaker 7: and jokingly acts like he would be the one to
- 48:10Speaker 7: present the rings on the day, which, honestly, that would
- 48:12Speaker 7: be hysterically.
- 48:13Speaker 4: That would be good.
- 48:14Speaker 7: I'd like to see that, honestly, not the worst idea, No,
- 48:18Speaker 7: I think it would be great it.
- 48:24Speaker 1: Let's see Sydney Sweeney and Amanda safe Read are full
- 48:29Speaker 1: of secrets and people's exclusive look at the housemaid. The chemistry,
- 48:37Speaker 1: says director Paul fig Is through the roof. They are
- 48:42Speaker 1: both such powerful talents and works so well off each
- 48:46Speaker 1: other that you very quickly get sucked into their on
- 48:51Speaker 1: screen world. This is an adaptation of the best seller
- 48:56Speaker 1: as Sweeney as Millie, a woman trying to assu escape
- 49:00Speaker 1: her past and restart her life, lands a job as
- 49:04Speaker 1: a live in housemaid for the seemingly perfect Winchesters Nina
- 49:11Speaker 1: and Andrew. Nina, of course, played by Saye Reed, along
- 49:16Speaker 1: with ends with us star Brandon's Slinger. Things take a
- 49:22Speaker 1: turn when the gig spirals, thrusting Milly into a dangerous dynamic.
- 49:29Speaker 1: The logline for the film promises, quote a seductive game
- 49:33Speaker 1: of secrets, scandal, and power.
- 49:38Speaker 4: Wooo, this is gonna be something else. Not sure when
- 49:44Speaker 4: the film's coming.
- 49:44Speaker 7: Out, but when we do find out.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Yeah, Sweeney says, Milly is exactly the type of character
- 49:52Speaker 1: I love to play. Complex, strong, with a little something
- 49:57Speaker 1: up her sleeve. I can't wait for fans to see
- 50:00Speaker 1: how hard we're working to bring the Housemaid to life.
- 50:08Speaker 4: We'll see, We'll see. So exciting, that awesome.
- 50:15Speaker 1: Just a quick note on Hulk Hogan. His daughter Brooke

- 50:23Speaker 1: her at his word. His son Nick filed court documents
- 50:30Speaker 1: which say the Hulkster left two hundred thousand in cryptocurrency,
- 50:35Speaker 1: seven hundred and ninety nine thousand in personal property and
- 50:38Speaker 1: intellectual property, and the right to his publicity, which is
- 50:42Speaker 1: estimated to be about four million dollars. Brooke voluntarily has
- 50:47Speaker 1: to be removed from her dad's will to sidestep any
- 50:50Speaker 1: money disputes or legal battles with those that were closest
- 50:55Speaker 1: to the Hulkster, including his former wife Linda So there
