Troy’s shortstop Aaron Piasecki just got drafted by the Houston Astros in the eighth round—making him the first Trojan off the board this year. After transferring from Central Michigan, Piasecki had a breakout season, slashing .337 with 10 homers, 10 stolen bases, and helped lead Troy to their first-ever College World Series appearance. The Astros clearly saw something special in him, and his performance earned Troy their highest national ranking since moving to Division I.
