- 1:43I mean, I'm not a, I'm not a Dodger fan, but I, I like it.
- 1:46I like the colors. I'm liking it here.
- 1:48I'll flip the hat. You wear the Dodger hat.
- 1:51I'll wear the Yankee hat. Ladies and gentlemen, we are now
- 1:54talking to owner of Rough Shot. Yes, Rough Shot Supply company
- 1:59and MLB content creator, our friend Jake Savicky.
- 2:03Jake, what's? Up how we doing, boys?
- 2:05We good, We're good. Sounds like it.
- 2:06Yeah, we're, we're a little explosive, I mean.
- 2:09I tell you what, if anybody ever asked me what is, what is New
- 2:12York like, I'm just going to say go listen to the Job in the
- 2:15Mouth show. That'll tell you.
- 2:16I feel like that's going to tell you exactly what New York is
- 2:19like. You guys are, you guys are a fun
- 2:22listen, I'll tell you that well. Thank you, Jake.
- 2:23I, I mean, you're a fun listen too.
- 2:25I, I check out your Instagram all the time.
- 2:28Some of the crazy posts you on a baseball field, some of the
- 2:31stuff that you do is absolutely hilarious.
- 2:34Before we get in to your take on what's going on with the WBC,
- 2:39some of the off seasons, I know you're a Dodger guy as you're
- 2:42wearing a Dodger hat. I'm a Yankee guy, so I'd like to
- 2:44hear your take on that. How did what what influences you
- 2:49to go out there and what makes you kind of think of the content
- 2:53that you put out there? Not a whole lot, I'll tell you
- 2:55that I just I see stuff I said. I think This is why I'm Whatever
- 3:01success is considered in the social media world.
- 3:04I think This is why I'm successful.
- 3:06If I if I post a video that is 18 seconds long, there's a
- 3:09pretty good chance from thinking about it to posting it, it took
- 3:13me two minutes and 18 seconds. And if it flops, I don't give a
- 3:16fuck. If it does bad, Oh well, if it
- 3:18does good, I'm like that's awesome.
- 3:20I know so many creators that put in all this time and editing and
- 3:23more power to them. I wish I could, but I just don't
- 3:27get. I don't ride the roller coaster
- 3:29of social media. I do what I want.
- 3:31People like it, people don't like it.
- 3:33I'm in and out that it doesn't matter to me.
- 3:35So I think that's where you know, the, the success, we'll
- 3:39call it, comes from. And as far as thinking it, I, I
- 3:43coached it for a long time. I, I played it and I, I was
- 3:48extremely athletic and I wasn't good enough at the game.
- 3:53So I think for me when I coached it, I'm like, man, I don't want
- 3:57any athletic kid to, to not be good enough because they weren't
- 4:00taught all the right ways. And this is not a oh, my coaches
- 4:03didn't teach me. They'll tell you they were, I
- 4:05went to a small high school that our our coach was the
- 4:08construction worker dad of a senior, you know what I mean?
- 4:11They'll tell you. So I think just seeing the game
- 4:16in that way when I was coaching and now watching it now I just
- 4:18see little things that, you know, I, I just part as a fan
- 4:23and part as a coach, I think is where my content really comes
- 4:25from. But you know, I and there's an
- 4:27empowerment to it. I don't need anybody's
- 4:31validation, but when all you're doing is like throwing your own
- 4:34thoughts out there and people like it, you're like, alright,
- 4:36cool. Yeah, it makes you want to keep
- 4:38doing it. I'm not thinking of content, I'm
- 4:40just speaking my mind. So I'm sure you guys are very
- 4:43familiar with that. I hate it.
- 4:44I hate social media. I don't even I have my guys run
- 4:48my social medias because I don't even want to go on.
- 4:50I don't want to look at it. I don't get it.
- 4:52I don't I don't get the Instagram and now Facebook is
- 4:56getting more popular for some reason.
- 4:57People are going on that more the old timers.
- 5:00It's like a my base of, you know, the new or the new
- 5:04improved Instagram. So I don't get it.
- 5:07And then there's TikTok people dancing and prancing, singing
- 5:11their little Heidi Doo, you know, that stupid crap that
- 5:14they're singing. I, I don't get it.
- 5:16But hey, you know what? We have to do it.
- 5:19I we're still trying to figure it out.
- 5:20We, we do have the Spotify and Apple pretty much conquered.
- 5:24We're doing such a great job, our contents out there.
- 5:26We're we're, we're gravitating in all parts of the world and
- 5:30we're still trying to, to figure out the YouTube because the
- 5:32YouTube is, if you're not a niche, if you're not just
- 5:35talking about Yankee baseball or Dodger baseball or New York
- 5:39Knick basketball, you're, you're, we're talking about
- 5:42everything. We're speaking about everything.
- 5:44It's hard to get the algorithm to, to get these guys and press
- 5:49these guys because everybody's got content out there.
- 5:51And let me tell you something, Jake, the content out there is
- 5:53garbage. It's really, really bad.
- 5:57And I don't care what anybody says, everybody's going to say
- 5:59I'm a hater. All right?
- 6:00You want to contradict what I'm saying on this show, that's
- 6:03fine. I'm not afraid.
- 6:04I will tell you right to your face what I think of you.
- 6:07If if you want my honest opinion, I'll tell you the
- 6:09truth. But it's garbage.
- 6:11And Jake, when I look at your stuff, it's unique because I'm
- 6:14not trying to blow your head up. You're just different.
- 6:16You don't give in here. I don't curse on this show.
- 6:19You don't give a shit and and that's, that's the way you put
- 6:22your content out there. And that to me gravitates and
- 6:25draws me to go check out what Jake Savicki is doing because I,
- 6:29I think first of all, your apparel is great.
- 6:32What you're doing right now, selling your apparel is
- 6:35sensational. You're very everything that you
- 6:38do, everything that you're putting out there, I think it
- 6:41gravitates to the younger fan and that's what you're trying to
- 6:43draw. You're trying to bring the
- 6:44younger baseball fan to kind of check out what you're doing
- 6:47because that's what that's what people are doing right now.
- 6:50What the younger fans are on Instagram all day long.
- 6:53The younger fans are on TikTok all day long.
- 6:55Not the older people like me and you that are getting up there in
- 6:58age and saying, why the hell am I going to sit on Instagram all
- 7:02day when I can put my thumb in my ass and watch a ball game?
- 7:05You know what I mean? That's just me.
- 7:07I'll say this to that point, when I do events like if I like
- 7:11I worked one for Bruce Bolt and I'll do these things called not
- 7:14your average baseball camp, and that's with like the coach racks
- 7:17of the world who they're they're huge.
- 7:19They're huge in this space and they do it for a living.
- 7:22And I do as well, but on a different scale.
- 7:25I'll go to those and the, and I mean, you're my people.
- 7:28There's a reason you like my content.
- 7:30These kids will show up to these camps with their dads and dads
- 7:33will see me and be like, what's up, buddy?
- 7:35You know him. And they're like, Nope.
- 7:36And then dad's like, I do what's up, my man?
- 7:38I'm like, yeah, you're my, these are my people.
- 7:41So, you know, my content is it goes both ways.
- 7:44The kids love it. The the adults, I think the kids
- 7:47love it. The adults get it.
- 7:48I think they understand it. It's I always say like if you
- 7:50don't know baseball and you watch my content, I'm an
- 7:54asshole. I don't.
- 7:55I won't cuss on this show, no. That's fine, That's fine.
- 7:58That's. Fine, OK, we got you.
- 7:59OK. I used to tell my kids when I
- 8:01coached, I'm like, look, I'm going to cuss sometimes.
- 8:03If I'm censoring myself. You're just not going to get the
- 8:05best version of me because I'm going to be thinking about how
- 8:07to say something the right way instead of just saying it.
- 8:09So I just say things. But the kids, I think they like
- 8:13it. The adults kind of understand
- 8:14it. Like I always tell people like,
- 8:16if you, if you don't know baseball, you watch my content.
- 8:18I'm an asshole. If you know baseball, you're
- 8:20like, yeah, he's speaking the love language.
- 8:21This is what we do. We talk shit to each other.
- 8:23This is how this is how we show love.
- 8:25Like am I going to take Tarek's, Google's fastball that's 100 and
- 8:29one 450 dead center? Absolutely not.
- 8:31He knows that. But some of my followers don't,
- 8:34they think I really would. And I'm like, well, the last
- 8:36time I took live at bats, I literally pulled my groin taking
- 8:39a pitch. So you know, but.
- 8:42I have, I've had my back and forth banter with Jabba because
- 8:45me and him have gone back and forth saying I, I told him, you
- 8:48give me five chances to steal against you.
- 8:49I'm stealing against him. I, I, I'm telling you right now,
- 8:52100% a hundred. I was fast on the bases and, and
- 8:56remember I told him to pick your catcher, but I get to pick the,
- 8:59the hitter. You give me 3 hitters and I get
- 9:01to pick the hitter because I want the hitter to swing.
- 9:04And if you pitch, you pitch it over the plate, they're going to
- 9:06smack the ball. That's your problem.
- 9:08I, I'm, I'm going to read your kick.
- 9:10I'm going to read your, your throwing motion.
- 9:12I'm going to read if it's going into the dirt and if I read
- 9:15right, I'm beating you to the second base.
- 9:17So, and that's your fault. If you throw it in the dirt,
- 9:20that's not my fault. I, so I've got back and forth.
- 9:23I never said I can hit 95 mile per hour pitch by him.
- 9:26But if I'm in the batting cage 5, you know, 5-6 times a day and
- 9:31I'm, I'm getting 100 pitches and I'm getting the timing down.
- 9:34Eventually I'm going to figure out how to hit a 9095 mile per
- 9:37hour fastball. It's all timing.
- 9:39It's seeing the ball. You see the ball, you hit the
- 9:41ball. So for all those Jabba and the
- 9:43Jabba and the Mouth fans are just Jabba fans.
- 9:46And I love you Jabba. But I'll be quite honest with
- 9:49you, Jabba thinks that I have no athletic ability whatsoever.
- 9:52Meanwhile, I was a great hockey player.
- 9:54I was a great athlete and he just did well.
- 9:56You weren't a professional athlete.
- 9:57Well, hold on one second, Jabba. I could have been a professional
- 10:02hockey player if I didn't hurt my knee.
- 10:04But Jabba doesn't want to give me any credit for that.
- 10:06He doesn't want to. I could have done mixed martial
- 10:08arts. I could have fought in
- 10:09professional mixed martial arts. I could have been a professional
- 10:12boxer. But he says, well, that that's
- 10:14not baseball. What the What is baseball,
- 10:16Jabba? What is it so?
- 10:19It's it's difficult to play of. Course, it's difficult.
- 10:22Everything's difficult. I mean, seriously.
- 10:25Listen, I'm, I'm not going to lie to you, I'm going to side
- 10:27with job on this only because. Of course you.
- 10:29Will every no, because everybody once I heard the story of I
- 10:33could have if I didn't hurt my knee.
- 10:35This is like that's like the story everybody uses as a joke
- 10:38and for you to use it seriously, I got I got to side with job on
- 10:41this. First of all, injuries.
- 10:43First of all, this is a injury avoidance is part of being a
- 10:46professional. So these guys, you know, that's
- 10:48part of the journey there. Just say it all adds up.
- 10:51Just saying that I was getting a full ride to Niagara University.
- 10:54I was only to play one year and I was being quoted as a possible
- 10:58late first round, early second round pick so.
- 11:01This is hockey. Hockey I was a.
- 11:03Hockey player Hey, yes I will. What I will give you credit on
- 11:05is I think that when it comes to skilled sports that to me it's
- 11:11probably my favorite. Outside of baseball, it's
- 11:14probably my favorite sport for so many reasons.
- 11:16One, the skill that it takes unbelievable. 2, it's a fucking
- 11:20man. It's a man's sport.
- 11:22That's the bot. It's the man Leus.
- 11:24Maybe, maybe you could count rugby and those guys out there.
- 11:27But like hockey to me is just I even all the way down.
- 11:32I just thought about this because I own a clothing
- 11:33company. I I send stuff to some
- 11:35basketball guys. I send stuff to baseball guys.
- 11:38I'm like, I hope they wear this down the tunnel for pre game.
- 11:41I would never send one to a hockey guy because they're not
- 11:43wearing shit. Dude.
- 11:44This is the culture. I'm like they're they're just
- 11:47man, dude. You could look at the whole
- 11:49team. They're going to be probably
- 11:50wearing a a black sweatshirt, a black T-shirt, a Gray shirt with
- 11:54some generic Gray pants, black pants, white, whatever.
- 11:57They're not dressing up for nothing.
- 11:59And I'm like, I love these guys for, for so many reasons, but
- 12:02hockey to me is the second best sport in the world.
- 12:05Jake, you were mentioning that the athletes used to work on
- 12:07Wellness management. Doesn't mean they have to hire
- 12:08their own version of Alex Guerrero.
- 12:13You. Had to mention him, you did.
- 12:15It's easy to make fun of him. For what he's been allegedly
- 12:18trying to do. Oh, Wellness coordinator,
- 12:20please. I, I, what is a Wellness
- 12:22coordinator? I would love to hear what the
- 12:24Raiders take, what a Wellness coordinator does.
- 12:28Because to me, it's a position that nobody's ever heard of.
- 12:31He's probably making hundreds of thousands of dollars sitting on
- 12:34his ass and twiddling his thumbs and maybe doing some other
- 12:36things to, you know, athletes in the locker room.
- 12:39I'm just saying we are talking. He's sitting, he's sitting in
- 12:42private telling somebody, I can't believe this actually
- 12:44worked. I can't believe they bought
- 12:46this, this job title. I told him this is what I was.
- 12:48They said yeah, here's 250 KA year, go get them.
- 12:51The only one that was the only one was buying Tom Brady's
- 12:54drinks was Aaron Rodgers the TB 12 anyways here talking to the
- 13:03owner of roughshod supply and company and MLB content creator
- 13:08Jake Savicki. He's been a friend of the show.
- 13:10He does such a great job on Instagram, TikTok, all all the
- 13:13platforms he's great. He has such a great platformer
- 13:16of content out there. His a powerless is something you
- 13:20never sent me anything which I'm upset at you Jake because.
- 13:23Listen, there's there's, there's a big story to that.
- 13:26The main story is I'm the worst, but there's a full story to that
- 13:29too. We could talk about that.
- 13:30Later, we'll talk. We'll talk off air because we we
- 13:32got to be, we got to have a conversation off air.
- 13:34But I want to get it to the WBC. I mean, we've we've gone on and
- 13:37off with everything that's going on in our lives.
- 13:40But the WBC, I've been watching it and I'm AUSA fan.
- 13:44I want USA to do well. They have, as we've had AJ
- 13:48Pierzynski come out and say, oh, this is the dream team, like the
- 13:5292 basketball team. And I sit there and I say, AJ,
- 13:56please, I don't want to hear this college, please.
- 13:59All right, I, I we understand this is probably the best USA
- 14:03team we've ever seen put together.
- 14:05If you want to call him a dream team, fine, They're a dream
- 14:07team. The fact here is there's a lot
- 14:10of mistakes going on with these foreign teams.
- 14:12We we saw it against Brazil, the young pitchers, they don't know
- 14:16what a pitching clock is. Balks.
- 14:18There were so many mistakes going on and I think this is the
- 14:21problem with baseball right now. And I'll say this about Rob
- 14:24Manfred. I'm not a big fan of his I, but
- 14:26I understand why he's doing it. He wants to bring the younger
- 14:29fans to like this board, draw them to come away from the NFL
- 14:33or or the NBAI understand what he's doing.
- 14:36But does this help the younger player that wants to go and play
- 14:40professional baseball in the future?
- 14:41When you're in a tournament like this, a 17 year old, not no
- 14:45understanding what the pitch clock is because he holds the
- 14:47ball too long and how many times is he is he making these
- 14:51mistakes? And I, I just I don't like it.
- 14:53I think it hurts the game. Your thoughts to these rules and
- 14:57and regulations that baseball is bringing to the forefront not
- 15:00only on a national stage but an international stage?
- 15:03Thank you. Overall, at the end of the day,
- 15:06it's good. It has to be good.
- 15:07It's electric, it's fun. It's all over social media.
- 15:09This is where the kids are, They're watching.
- 15:11I saw a clip. I work obviously with baseball
- 15:14Dugout. They posted a clip of Ronald
- 15:16Acuna doing the gritty what he scored and I'm like, man, he
- 15:20must have hit a bomb and gritty to cross home plate.
- 15:22It was a sacrifice fly and he was on 3rd and it was to the
- 15:26warning track in dead center. So he knew he had time.
- 15:28He runs home and Gritty's the last 10 feet looking in the
- 15:31other team's dugout. And I'm like, this is what kids
- 15:34like. This goes viral.
- 15:35This gets them excited about it and I'm all for it because only
- 15:40because I think the culture, that kind of culture in
- 15:43baseball, those guys that do that fully expect repercussions
- 15:48as well. They're not stupid and they're
- 15:50going to deal with them, but they're willing to do it because
- 15:52that's what they do. So but the like you said, the
- 15:55pitch clock, I was not a fan of it.
- 15:57Every guy I've ever talked to that has played professionally
- 15:59actually likes it because at the end of the day, them it's a job.
- 16:02It's still a job and they're getting home from their job an
- 16:04hour earlier because of it. That's great.
- 16:07It it speeds the game up. The thing I say this all the
- 16:10time, baseball itself is, is boring.
- 16:15If you don't know, if you don't know the game, look at that's a
- 16:18sacrifice fly. That's crazy.
- 16:22So, you know, look at the other team on the fucking rail just
- 16:26going Jesus. And nobody's getting drilled for
- 16:29that. I guarantee the next guy didn't
- 16:30get hit in the back. It's just this part of the game.
- 16:32So I think that stuff helps. I think it's good for him when
- 16:35it comes to the pitch clock, everybody I've talked to that
- 16:37actually plays the game has said they like it.
- 16:40It speeds things up it we're it's a job and that's fair.
- 16:43But when it comes to growing the game, you know that 17 year old
- 16:46when you talk about, you know, World Baseball Classic, Yeah, he
- 16:49doesn't know that. And I don't know if it's the
- 16:51same kid, but a senior in high school, friggin jam job, Aaron
- 16:55Judge double play to get out of an inning.
- 16:57Like that's pretty freaking cool for kids to go.
- 16:59Yeah, that's sick. I want to, I could do that, like
- 17:02it. And that's baseball.
- 17:03I mean, baseball is to your point against, against Jabba,
- 17:08could you steal a bag it it's anybody's game on any anybody's
- 17:12day. I mean, the, the Dodgers were
- 17:15built to dominate baseball last year.
- 17:18And it it took 3 inch and a half plays from the Blue Jays to to
- 17:24win the World Series. They could have gone either way.
- 17:26And I didn't know 70% of the Blue Jays roster before that
- 17:30playoffs didn't know them, never heard of them.
- 17:33And they were unbelievable. So these things, you know, look
- 17:36at this, I mean, watching Judge do this, yeah, I will also say
- 17:40how cool it is to watch him do this after I say watching him,
- 17:44you know, get a get a jam job, ground ball to end an inning.
- 17:49But that's what it shows kids like, hey, this game can be
- 17:51played fun. I think this is some of the best
- 17:53baseball we see. And to me, I say it all the
- 17:57time, the fun changes as you grow up, but you want to keep it
- 17:59the whole time. These guys have it.
- 18:01I coached high school baseball and I watched 16 year olds play
- 18:04a tournament in the middle of summer in the middle of nowhere
- 18:06with no scouts anywhere. They go over 3 and feel like
- 18:09they they're never going to get a scholarship.
- 18:11I'm like, nobody freaking saw it dude, who cares?
- 18:14What are you stressed about? And then I go to an Angels game
- 18:17that night and I see three guys I've never heard of, which means
- 18:20they're 1 / 4 day away from going back to AAA and making 5
- 18:24grand a month instead of five grand a day.
- 18:26And they're all dancing, having a great time pregame.
- 18:28I'm like, these guys are enjoying their time.
- 18:30This is why they're good. They're loose, they're having
- 18:32fun. So I think the World Baseball
- 18:34Classic overall for the younger generation is, is really good.
- 18:40I think the publicity it gets it's it's the only thing going
- 18:42on. It Trump's spring training.
- 18:45I mean, if if you're trying to get a kid into baseball, you go
- 18:47watch this World Baseball Classic.
- 18:48You're not going watch this quiet boring spring training
- 18:52game where nobody gives a shit and and all the even even the
- 18:55best players on the team, they leave in the 4th inning after
- 18:58their second at bat. That's not getting you into
- 19:00baseball. I guess.
- 19:02I guess you're right. You know, I, I think, I think, I
- 19:05think the World Baseball Classic does a good job.
- 19:07But yeah, as a fan, I prefer the the four minute at bat where a
- 19:12pitcher's taking his time, the hitter's taking their time and
- 19:15you're like, OK, this is a chess match.
- 19:16That's that's baseball. So I guess to my point, if you
- 19:20don't know baseball, it's a boring game.
- 19:21That's all there is to it. You don't understand why this
- 19:24third inning, you know, at bat with Aaron Judge when it's a
- 19:29pitcher's duel. Like what if you don't
- 19:30understand why this at bat is the game, then you're you're
- 19:33just gonna be like, cool, that guy hit the ball.
- 19:35Yeah. But Jake, Jake, you have
- 19:37somebody like Speedy, let's say he's doing a play by play and,
- 19:39and there's 4 minutes and they're standing on a box.
- 19:42Could you imagine how many words Speedy can get out in a minute?
- 19:45So you go 4 minutes, you have 4000 words.
- 19:47But no, no, no, no. You know that guy that's trying
- 19:52to sell things? Oh, but $2.00, three dollar,
- 19:55four dollar, $5. You know that.
- 19:56That's sweetie. Right there that auctioneer
- 19:58yeah, I feel that I I think I do think for me personally, I.
- 20:03I would prefer no clocks, no nothing, but I don't I don't
- 20:07hate it. I thought I would more than I
- 20:10do, but I don't hate it. It moves the game along.
- 20:12That's fine. Same result.
- 20:14I I originally hated it for the players because if you, if I'm
- 20:17up there in the box and I got 15 seconds, it feels like between
- 20:21pitches and scoobles pitching, I want a few seconds to collect my
- 20:25thoughts and try to take a guess of what he's going to throw me
- 20:27because that's the only way I'm hitting it.
- 20:28If I guess right, if I'm like, shit, he just broke me off of,
- 20:32you know, disgusting change up and now it's 1-2 and I have 3
- 20:37seconds to dust my cleats off and get in the box and get ready
- 20:40to hit. I don't get to think I'm just in
- 20:41defense mode. I don't want that.
- 20:43I want to at least give me 10 seconds to think about it.
- 20:46So but they don't seem to mind and they're good.
- 20:48These guys are so good. So I don't know.
- 20:51I As a fan, it is what it is. As a purist, I prefer it's not
- 20:56there. Yeah, I want to go to the other
- 20:57controversy that was going into the WBC, which was that
- 20:59insurance controversy that Lindor and a couple other
- 21:03players on the on the Puerto Rican side didn't play.
- 21:05You had a couple of Dominican players, not one of the most of
- 21:07the big names, but they dropped out.
- 21:09Is that something that you think that maybe either MLB could help
- 21:11on or some other professional leagues around the world could
- 21:13help on? So you even get more of those
- 21:15bigger names into the WBC like you were saying these to younger
- 21:17eyes to see these flashy guys like the acunias that are injury
- 21:20prone players but very good when they're healthy.
- 21:23I guess I would have to really look at the connection between
- 21:25the WBC and MLB, which it sounds like there is none other than
- 21:29obviously the players and the stadium.
- 21:32They play in Dayton Park, they play in Florida.
- 21:35Other than that, I don't. It sounds like there's zero
- 21:38connection between the two. This is where the MLB drops the
- 21:41ball in a lot of things. It's like get involved with the
- 21:43people that are pushing your business.
- 21:45This is a phenomenal tournament. Everybody loves it.
- 21:49Why are you not making it more accessible for your best players
- 21:52and covering what what the chances of them getting hurt are
- 21:56there? They are slim.
- 21:58They're going to be playing spring training or they're going
- 22:00to be playing in these games. They're going to be playing
- 22:03either way. Honestly, it might be less with
- 22:05the World Baseball Classic because they're just playing a
- 22:08game and then they're taking a day.
- 22:09They're not playing 35 straight games and spring training and
- 22:13going. So I I would prefer to see the
- 22:16MLB just recognize the things that help you and take part in
- 22:21them. Of course, we want to see the
- 22:23best players on the planet playing in this tournament.
- 22:25Look at look at Team USA. Scooble.
- 22:27I think Scooble, this is a probably unpopular take.
- 22:31He pitches once and that was all he's going to do.
- 22:33And he's like, man, that was pretty fun.
- 22:35I didn't see that coming. I'm I'm going to see what I can
- 22:38do to pitch again in my head. I love America.
- 22:42Don't pitch Scooble. It's not smart.
- 22:44I don't think you're going to get hurt, but you are.
- 22:46You're talking 456 generations of money you're about to get.
- 22:49I agree with you. America will will be here.
- 22:54Just get your bags, stay healthy, do your thing.
- 22:57And I hope it's with somebody other than Detroit because I
- 22:59don't, I don't love the way they've treated him.
- 23:01But, you know, and I don't think they've treated him bad and he
- 23:04understands it's business. And, you know, treat anybody
- 23:06well, we know. This Yeah, yeah, I just I to me,
- 23:09that's going to be an Otani situation with the Angels where
- 23:12they say we're going to we're not going to we're not going to
- 23:16give you the bag. We're going to let this ride
- 23:18out. We're not going to trade you for
- 23:19a whole bunch of very talented guys.
- 23:22We're going to let the season end give you our most
- 23:25competitive offer and see what happens.
- 23:26It's like that's what the Angels did and part of me respects them
- 23:30for it because they didn't trade away the greatest player in
- 23:32history that they won't go down as that team.
- 23:35They'll go down as a team that just had him for six years and
- 23:38then got outbid and he went somewhere else.
- 23:40But you don't want to be the team that traded Babe Ruth, You
- 23:44know what I mean? Like, I do respect the Angels a
- 23:47little bit in that factor, but I think their program, their
- 23:50organization would have been a lot better if they would have
- 23:52traded for about six of the best prospects in baseball for Otani.
- 23:55Ladies and gentlemen, just so you know, we are talking to the
- 23:57owner of Roughshod Supply Company and MLB content creator
- 24:02Jake Savicki. I want to say something.
- 24:04His glasses that he's wearing are not meta glasses.
- 24:06Just so everybody knows. He's not getting that
- 24:08information on his meta glasses because if he is, well, then I
- 24:12don't know. He he's a content creator that
- 24:14likes to use better. But I want I want to get into
- 24:18this Yankee stuff. And I know you're a baseball
- 24:21enthusiast. And I was one that took shots at
- 24:25the New York Yankees on the Spencer Jones thing.
- 24:27And I, I thought, I think Spencer Jones is a star.
- 24:30I knew he was a star when they drafted him.
- 24:33He was a late first round draft pick, just like Aaron Judge.
- 24:36I, I said it on this show two years ago and I told Speedy when
- 24:39he was drafted. I believe that this guy is the
- 24:43left-handed power or the left-handed Aaron Judge in the
- 24:47future. I, I think he's that type of
- 24:49player. Now, when you look at his
- 24:50numbers in AAA and AA and Aaron Judges AAA and AA numbers,
- 24:56they're almost identical, almost identical.
- 24:59And when you look at both of these guys, they're both coming
- 25:02into the majors. Aaron Judge came at the end of
- 25:0524. And if you look at Spencer
- 25:07Jones, he is coming into the league at the end of 24.
- 25:11You look at both these guys, they're almost identically
- 25:13profiled. And I, I, I went back and forth
- 25:16with Fish on the show. I've gone, I've, I've gone all
- 25:19over the place with people on social media.
- 25:21I have attacked fans, Yankee fans, trade them.
- 25:24Let's get as much as we can for him.
- 25:26I'm going to be like, do you guys actually know what you're
- 25:28talking about? And and by the way, Brian
- 25:30Cashman is an idiot for him to come out and say that I'm going
- 25:33to send Jason Dominguez down and Spencer Jones is going to be
- 25:36pushed down even further than Jason Dominguez.
- 25:38When this this, I'm going to say Mother Effa is better than Jason
- 25:43Dominguez and I don't care what anybody says, this guy should be
- 25:47on this roster in the beginning of the season.
- 25:49I'm tired of hearing the Yankees say, well, I don't know if he's
- 25:52good enough. I don't know if his best funny
- 25:54fast enough or he strikes out too much.
- 25:57So did Aaron Judge. So did Aaron Judge.
- 26:00He's the best hitter in baseball, the best power hitter
- 26:03in baseball. I don't want to hear this
- 26:04rubbish anymore. Jake, sell this to the Yankee
- 26:07fans. Is this guy a star or not?
- 26:10Listen, I'm, I'm with you as much as anybody could be with
- 26:13you on this, this topic. I, I coached against him in high
- 26:17school. If I don't know if you know that
- 26:19four years I watched him from yeah, I watched him from
- 26:22freshman year to senior year. He was 96 off the mound in the
- 26:26All American Games as a lefty. He is an absolute gazelle.
- 26:31He, we had him up with the bases loaded up by three and I was
- 26:36like almost, I almost intentionally walked him,
- 26:39actually, I, I was that close. But instead I was like, put
- 26:42everybody on the right side of the field, throw him in, and if
- 26:44he hits a Grand Slam, I can live with that.
- 26:47Fair enough. We throw him in, he gets inside
- 26:49this ball and slices a triple down the left field line.
- 26:52My left fielders like basically in center field, I'm like this
- 26:55friggin kid and he's flying. And you know what I had to do?
- 26:59I had to load the bases with intentional walks because he was
- 27:01on 3rd and as the winning run. I'm like, I can't even we can't
- 27:05even go infield in and like field it looking back and throw
- 27:09it to 1st. He'll score.
- 27:10He's an athlete. The kid is an athlete.
- 27:12So when he went to Vandy and just started hitting, I said
- 27:16this makes so much sense. It's crazy.
- 27:18And to me, I also I also watched Mickey Moniac one one in 2016.
- 27:23I I watched him same school. They went to the same school.
- 27:26I watched both of them and I love Mickey good dude.
- 27:31He's a true five tool like guy as far as the, the skill there,
- 27:36the the athleticism, all that. Obviously not A5 tool.
- 27:40You know guy throughout his career, but he's got he's got a
- 27:43good makeup. It's not Spencer Jones.
- 27:45Spencer Jones in high school is a different animal.
- 27:47He is now. If I'm doing it, I, I know
- 27:49everybody was kind of pissed about Grisham for 20 mil.
- 27:53And it's like, hey, you knew you were going to bring belly back.
- 27:56Why didn't you do that real quick?
- 27:58Why didn't you put Spencer in right?
- 28:00You put belly in center or you put just keep Aaron Judge in
- 28:05right, put put Spencer in in left.
- 28:08Now you got a a glove on his right hand going to the line.
- 28:11That makes it easier. You don't have the backhand
- 28:12double S down there. He's got speed.
- 28:14He's good. You have two, in my opinion,
- 28:18Gold Glove type of outfielders and Aaron Judge, who is very
- 28:22good. He's a he's a good outfielder.
- 28:24He also plays right field, the easiest position in baseball, so
- 28:28it's like why? Why risk anything more with him?
- 28:31He's getting a little older by baseball means.
- 28:33Put Spencer in right for all I care.
- 28:35Put Dominguez and left if you want him there and DA chair and
- 28:38Judge. Let him be Otani.
- 28:40Let him friggin just hit sit and hit, not wear and tear on his
- 28:44body. You got about a three or four
- 28:46year window with Aaron Judge to win.
- 28:48Hopefully a couple for the Yankees.
- 28:50And everyone thinks I hate the Yankees.
- 28:51I hate how the Yankees are run. I'm like everybody I grew up
- 28:55wearing #2 and playing shortstop.
- 28:57I had him on my wall. It was him and Seattle Mariners,
- 29:00a rod. That was my guy.
- 29:02I didn't, OK, I did not Adam as a Yankee fan.
- 29:05I wasn't a Derek Jeter fan. Everybody that listens to the
- 29:07shows. I did not root for Derek Jeter.
- 29:10I met Derek Jeter 3 or 4 times. I wasn't too fond of him after
- 29:13it. As a matter of fact, I wanted
- 29:15to. Squeeze the cheese.
- 29:16Squeeze the cheese when he was around me.
- 29:18But yeah, I, I wasn't a big fan of Derek Jeter.
- 29:22I met Alex Rodriguez. I sat down for 15 minutes, 15
- 29:26minutes, Jake speaking about everything but baseball with
- 29:30Alex Rodriguez. Everybody tells me Alex is a
- 29:32piece of garbage. He's this, he's that.
- 29:35Not what I not that I remember I, I actually had a good
- 29:38conversation with the guy. He loves sports.
- 29:40He loves football. He loves basketball as he bought
- 29:43the Timberwolves. I mean, the guy is a genius when
- 29:46it comes to business. If I sat down for more than 5
- 29:49minutes and got some business information from him, I'd
- 29:51probably be rich right now. So I, I, I mean, the guy is a
- 29:56genius. So I again, I know you're a
- 29:58Derek Jeter fan. I know there's a lot of Derek
- 30:00Jeter fans that have have come on this show and told me ex
- 30:03baseball players or baseball enthusiasts, how do you not like
- 30:06Derek Jeter? It's not that I didn't like him.
- 30:09I liked him as a player. I was just not one of those guys
- 30:13that I drooled all over him. Oh, that's Derek Jeter.
- 30:17He's the greatest. That's fair, that's fair, that's
- 30:20fair. I don't I don't judge anybody's
- 30:23opinion of anybody. You know, we all have different
- 30:25experiences. I you know, I interviewed Josh
- 30:27Donaldson, not a not AI told him I'm like the Yankee fans are the
- 30:30worst. He's like, well, they don't like
- 30:32me. So we got that in common.
- 30:33I start laughing, but like, you know what, Hey, we talked and he
- 30:37was, he was like, well, yeah, I did.
- 30:39I didn't do shit over there. That's why they don't like me.
- 30:41Rightfully so, yadda, yadda. But a guy like that, right, he's
- 30:45got this personality that some people love, some people, Hey,
- 30:47we talked. I asked him for 20 to 30 minutes
- 30:50on the podcast. We ended up doing a 2 hour
- 30:52interview and then when I said, hey, hang on here for 2 minutes,
- 30:55let it load. We sat there off camera for
- 30:58another hour and a half just talking baseball hitting like it
- 31:00was a he's a guy I would now see in real life and be like, you
- 31:03want to I got let me get you a beer.
- 31:05Let's hang out, talk, whatever. But so, yeah, everybody's got
- 31:07their story on guys. My whole thing is the Yankees
- 31:11are good enough. They're not super far off from
- 31:14the Dodgers, where the Dodgers know they're making playoffs.
- 31:17They don't have a let's try to win this many games and make
- 31:20playoffs and make a good run. Their World Series are bust.
- 31:24And the Yankees, it doesn't matter if they go 30 years
- 31:26without a championship. It's always World Series or
- 31:28bust. That's the way it is.
- 31:30They should make playoffs every year.
- 31:32They have that kind of talent. Their pitching staff this year
- 31:34is very good. Is it going to kill you or 30
- 31:38games to put Spencer Jones and just say fuck it, hit before
- 31:41Aaron Judge. You're going to get a lot of
- 31:43good pitches to hit. Maybe that'll help you.
- 31:44Maybe it'll help you because they they don't want to pitch to
- 31:47judge. So they're going to go out right
- 31:49after you. Maybe he gets in a groove.
- 31:51Maybe he learns a little bit, maybe he doesn't.
- 31:53But if you're you know, 15 and 15 after 30 games is the
- 31:56Yankees, you move Spencer Jones if it's not working out and
- 32:00there's a pretty darn good chance you still make your
- 32:01playoffs and do what you need to do.
- 32:03So my whole thing is that I, I and everyone's like, well, what,
- 32:07what will it do to him mentally if they bring him up and he
- 32:09sucks? It's like not any worse than
- 32:11what it'll do to him. Dominating AAA for fucking two
- 32:14years. That's worse.
- 32:16That to me is worse. I'd rather, if I was a pitcher,
- 32:19I'd rather get called up and have a 12 ERA and four outings
- 32:22get sent back down and go, at least I know that's good.
- 32:25At least I'm not sitting in AAA for 2-3 years with a 28 ERA
- 32:30thinking I should be up there. At least I know.
- 32:32Give me a chance one way or another.
- 32:33And I know everybody's like, he's young, he's 24.
- 32:36That's not young in baseball anymore.
- 32:38This is this. You're getting there.
- 32:40Like get the guy into the game. I want to see him do something.
- 32:43You got the shortest little right field porch.
- 32:46Let him pull the shit out of that ball.
- 32:47And I it blows my mind that they did what they did and they're
- 32:52doing what it sounds like they're going to do with them.
- 32:54It's crazy. Let's.
- 32:55Go to your team now, the Dodgers, the team that's
- 32:56everyone's blaming for this potential lockout that is
- 32:58apparently going to come next year.
- 33:00Obviously exciting Kyle Tucker after winning their second
- 33:02straight World Series. And now all the owners are
- 33:04seeing like they're crying poor and wanting all this salary cap
- 33:07stuff. Like what are your thoughts of
- 33:08that whole? Congress.
- 33:11Let me say this real quick. You complimented this hat.
- 33:14I'm going to I'm do it. I did an ad for lids.
- 33:17That's why I even have this hat. They hooked me up with some
- 33:19hats, but I walked in. They said, go into the store,
- 33:22get yourself some stuff, yada, yada.
- 33:24I said, all right. And you guys know, the Yankee
- 33:25fans truly hate me. They hate my guests.
- 33:29And I'm in there and I'm like, they're like, if you can, you
- 33:32know, maybe film some content while they're customizing an hat
- 33:36with some embroidery. I'm like, all right, cool, I'll
- 33:37showcase everything lids does. They got this, this, you know,
- 33:43embroidery custom thing with Freddie Freeman holding up the
- 33:46bat on the walk off against the Yankees.
- 33:48They got they got it and his signatures underneath it.
- 33:51If you know the the game, you immediately see it and go, Oh
- 33:54yeah, that's the friggin walk off with Cortez.
- 33:56Beautiful. I said, Hey, can I, can I put
- 34:00this on a Yankee hat? They're like, Nah, I'm like,
- 34:02damn it, this would have been great content.
- 34:04Like, hey, I got a Yankees hat. It's all good.
- 34:06And then turn to the side. And here's here's the reminder
- 34:09guys. So they wouldn't let me do that.
- 34:11But shout out lids for for, you know, the the good hats.
- 34:14Now the Dodgers, if you're asking me, I think it's good for
- 34:18baseball. And I would say that if I wasn't
- 34:20a Dodger fan, I thought it was good for baseball when the
- 34:22Yankees did it back in the day. Every good story needs a
- 34:26villain. When the when your team gets
- 34:28bumped. There's now 29 other teams
- 34:31rooting for the Toronto Blue Jays.
- 34:34Beat those. Beat them, please.
- 34:36That would be awesome. And people are watching.
- 34:38I have talked to so many people and Yankee fans, maybe not
- 34:41because you hate the Blue Jays, probably more than the Dodgers,
- 34:43maybe, but it it makes people watch beyond when their team
- 34:48gets out. That's all it is.
- 34:50OK, I have to cut you off. Hold.
- 34:52On one second. Hold on one second.
- 34:54Did you just say that the Yankees did it in those days?
- 34:58Let's let's go back, let's go back in the 90's.
- 35:01The Yankees built around a core. They they drafted Derek Jeter,
- 35:05they drafted Andy Pettitte, they drafted Mariano Rivera, they
- 35:08drafted Jorge Posada. They built around Bernie
- 35:11Williams. They built around a core.
- 35:13And then they brought a bunch of veteran players in Paul O'Neill.
- 35:16They traded for for Roberto Kelly.
- 35:18Remember that? Then they brought in Charlie
- 35:20Hayes and Scott Brosius, all guys, guys that nobody wanted.
- 35:23OK, Yeah. Then they brought Wade, old man
- 35:25Wade Boggs in the on this team. They brought Jimmy Key, old man
- 35:29Jimmy on this team. Then they brought old man David
- 35:33Wells on this team. Now, let's go back in time when
- 35:36the Yankees were dominant. And This is why I hate, I'm not
- 35:39talking about you, but Dodger fans saying, oh, typical Yankee
- 35:43fan complaining and bitching and moaning about what we're doing.
- 35:47Yeah, here's what I'm going to say.
- 35:49Let me ask the Dodger fans. Tell me, besides your catcher on
- 35:54your team, on your starting roster, how many guys did you
- 35:57draft as far as your lineup is concerned on your starting
- 36:01roster? And the answer is none.
- 36:04So you're going to sit here and I'm not saying you, but the,
- 36:07the, the stupid Dodger fans that come out here and attack me all
- 36:10over social media. Yeah, my dude.
- 36:12The, the one or two stupid fans that direct message me and tell
- 36:16me, well, you're a Yankee fan. Typical that you would say
- 36:19something so stupid and dumb. And I say, you know what?
- 36:22Hey, you're deferred money. And 12 years from now when you
- 36:25have to pay these guys, because we all know what the Dodgers
- 36:27organizations going to do after they win all their titles,
- 36:30they're going to sell the team. These owners are going to sell
- 36:32the team and whoever this team is going to have to owe every
- 36:35single one of those players. So you better be a trillionaire.
- 36:39Maybe Elon Musk will buy them in 15 years because that's the only
- 36:43way he's going to be able to pay these contracts back.
- 36:46OK, I don't want to hear from the Dodger fans because the
- 36:49Dodger fans are typically stupid, dumb, ridiculous.
- 36:55I'm going to, I'm going to give you the secret sauce that I,
- 36:58that I throw on the, on the Yankee fans who jump in my DMS
- 37:02or give me in the comments. I'm and you, you say this to the
- 37:05Dodger fans. I'm sure it'll have the same
- 37:07result. Anytime they tell me how stupid
- 37:09I am, I go, look, I'm sorry, slow day at the office when it's
- 37:12like that. I got to go for the lowest
- 37:14hanging fruit. You guys win.
- 37:16I got to go for the Yankee fans. If I'm looking for engagement, I
- 37:20know you guys are going to give it.
- 37:21It's too easy. The lowest hanging fruit, I'm
- 37:23like, shit, sometimes it's not even hanging.
- 37:25I just pick it up off the floor and they're like fuck.
- 37:27You. So you might want to use that
- 37:30one day. But let me let me counter with
- 37:32this. You you mentioned all the guys
- 37:35the Yankees brought in back then, right, What they did and
- 37:39the Dodgers are, are doing that on a, a bigger scale.
- 37:42Yes, they do not have as many home grown guys.
- 37:45However, the, the trades that they do are because they draft
- 37:48well, they develop well, they give prospects to certain guys.
- 37:52This is not the case today's day and age.
- 37:54They're just buying everybody. And I will be the first to tell
- 37:57you that, but the every everyone single contract of the Dodgers,
- 38:03maybe other than Otani, you know, they're 90% of teams in
- 38:06the league could afford to get one of these guys.
- 38:08But what what brought those old guys in?
- 38:11The Yankees brought the veterans, they brought the
- 38:14studs. They brought a mix of guys that
- 38:16they knew would fit into the Yankee culture.
- 38:18And they did. And that's why they won, because
- 38:21they had This is why today's Yankees pissed me off.
- 38:24I'll be honest, like I, I like the players on the Yankees.
- 38:28I I don't like what the Yankees are today compared to what you
- 38:31just explained. Those guys came in and they said
- 38:34you're a Yankee. Now here's the expectation.
- 38:37There we go. Thank you for pissing me off.
- 38:42I love that. I love that.
- 38:44So it it's the culture, right? Diaz or Diaz came over here.
- 38:49His brother is with the Dodgers and his brother said you have to
- 38:52come here. It's the best.
- 38:53It's the best organization there is.
- 38:54He didn't even go back to the Mets with a counter offer.
- 38:57He said, cool. Three years, 66, whatever it
- 38:59was, I'm in. You know, Cohen would have paid
- 39:01him more, especially to get him away from the Dodgers, just like
- 39:04he did with Soto and the and the Yanks.
- 39:05Like he didn't even go back. He said cool.
- 39:08My brother said, this is the best place to be and I already
- 39:12see who's there. I want to win.
- 39:14Sounds like fun. There's a culture with the with
- 39:16the Dodgers right now that if you are not looking at it from
- 39:20your own team's bias, it's the best in the league and it's not
- 39:23even close. It's not even close.
- 39:25It's not even listen, Hey, hey, let me tell you this.
- 39:29Here's the culture. I was at spring training last
- 39:32year. I watched the Dodgers get beat
- 39:34like 15 to 6 on a random Tuesday, right?
- 39:37And Dave Roberts is in the dugout and some guy yells down
- 39:40to him. Dave, Doc.
- 39:44And Dave turns around, looks at him.
- 39:45I feel like I told you this on the last podcast.
- 39:47I. Remember you telling me this?
- 39:48And the guy just goes, hey, one game closer to the World Series
- 39:52baby. And I'm like, this is this is
- 39:54the expectation. It's like, fuck, get these games
- 39:56out of the way. We don't care.
- 39:58So I will say I do think that the culture they've built, and
- 40:02this comes from a player that was with them last year, then
- 40:05with three or four different teams, he goes, it's not even,
- 40:07it's not even close. They know everybody, they knew
- 40:11me before I got there. They know the janitors name,
- 40:14they know the executives name. Like this whole organization is
- 40:18doing it right. So I, I do think that plays into
- 40:20it. And as I'm a Dave guy, I know a
- 40:22lot of people aren't. I'm a Dave guy in order to give.
- 40:26I'm a Dave guy too. Dave Matthews.
- 40:28Yeah, there you go. She could do China.
- 40:31The Chinese feel like the SAW crash.
- 40:33You know, ants, bare naked ladies.
- 40:34I couldn't even. Get that the ants could eat all
- 40:36the low hanging fruit. It seems like that that the
- 40:38Dodgers are the ants marching. Oh, wait.
- 40:42Yes. And look, it takes it takes the
- 40:44manager and not saying Dave's the only guy that could do this.
- 40:48Yes, he has the talent, but there is not one superstar in
- 40:51that team that acts like a superstar.
- 40:53Me guy, there's not one. And it doesn't matter who gets
- 40:56the job done. The last three home runs they
- 40:58hit in game seven were were 20 million.
- 41:01I I think it was less than 30 million combined salaries.
- 41:04Will Smith 15, Muncie 10, Rojas 5.
- 41:07Like those guys came up when it mattered great.
- 41:10The $700 million guy was there yada yada bit.
- 41:12And the rent of the pitcher in extra innings, too, was.
- 41:15Yeah, yes. And you know what?
- 41:16So that's how you when. That's how you.
- 41:19Sell everybody on, the Dodgers said I'm.
- 41:21They were so happy for Rojas because that's their leader,
- 41:24that's their guy that's dead. They all said it.
- 41:27They said this is our guy, this is our clubhouse guy, he's the
- 41:29leader and you go. I don't think anybody would have
- 41:31guessed. That so so if that's what you
- 41:33need, so if I'm in the dugout and I'm saying I wipe my ass
- 41:35with my hands and they say, well, that's a good idea, I'm
- 41:38going to do it too. I mean, so if everybody's saying
- 41:41it, I guess it it means they're doing it, you know, so, so get
- 41:45out of here, Jake, are you going to actually sell me this that
- 41:48Oh, oh, they were happy for Rosha.
- 41:50Oh, they're happy. Oh, Friedman looks like he's
- 41:52pretty happy because he just won another another ring because he
- 41:55left course. Jake, this is also the same guy
- 41:57that would rather take in Rojas to be a second basement along
- 41:59with others to get rid of Jazz Chisholm I.
- 42:02Would do anything. To get rid of that idiot.
- 42:04Yeah, you guys would have been better off with Rojas playing
- 42:06shortstop. First of all, so I'm watching
- 42:09this. I'm watching by the way, we are
- 42:10talking to owner of rough shots run, rough shot Supply company
- 42:15and MLB content creator Jake Savicky's a friend of the show.
- 42:18And I was watching the show with my so we went to my me and my
- 42:21girl went to my sister's sister's house yesterday and
- 42:25they watched this. Like have you ever seen their
- 42:27show bad? Have you ever seen that?
- 42:29So it's on the Zeus channel. I've never heard of it.
- 42:32OK. And these girls, they they like,
- 42:35beat the hell out of each other. They're they're girls that like
- 42:38they sleep with all these rich guys and all that.
- 42:40And they're just like what? Some of them played college
- 42:43basketball and dude, they beat the hell out of each other.
- 42:46They like their, their, their, their tits are hanging out,
- 42:49their asses are hanging out. They're ripping each other's
- 42:52clothes off. I've never seen anything like
- 42:54that. So I'm watching.
- 42:55Is it a reality show? It's a reality show.
- 42:57Check it out. It's called Betty's.
- 42:58OK, OK. And I'm sitting there and I'm
- 43:00like, what the hell am I watching?
- 43:01Is this a Hood show? And I'm sitting there and all of
- 43:04a. Sudden.
- 43:04Yeah, right. You're like, what am I watching?
- 43:06What am I watching? All the reruns.
- 43:08No, I was giggling and I was laughing.
- 43:10I was trying to pay attention because I was writing a store
- 43:12while I'm doing it. So I'm sitting there and all of
- 43:15a sudden my sister says that girl right there, she's engaged
- 43:19to a famous baseball player. And I'm like, who I was like,
- 43:22I've never seen her. And she looks like a hoochie
- 43:25Mama, you know, And all of a sudden she looks it up and it's
- 43:28Jazz Chisholm's fiance. And I'm like, of course it is.
- 43:34Why wouldn't it be? I mean, why wouldn't she be on
- 43:37this TV show? I mean, it was pathetic.
- 43:40And I'm sitting there and I'm like, I can see why he he would
- 43:43be dating a girl like that one. And and two, I mean, the girls
- 43:48over there are just absolutely insulting.
- 43:51They insult themselves as women. So my, my thought here is, and
- 43:55I'm, I'm not trying, by the way, I'm not taking shots of the
- 43:58show. I thought it was a funny, funny
- 43:59show. If you haven't checked it out,
- 44:01it's called Baddies. It's on Zeus.
- 44:03It's been around for a while, season after season.
- 44:05My, my niece should not be watching it.
- 44:07She's 22 years old. And I'm like, listen to these
- 44:10girls talking and the sexual things that they're saying.
- 44:13And I'm sitting there, I'm like, this is on television, so
- 44:17whatever. But as a kid, if the kids are
- 44:20watching this interview, don't watch Baddies.
- 44:22Stay the hell away from it. Fishing.
- 44:26Fishing, his fiance, I mean fishing his girl, a wife, I'm
- 44:30sorry, fishing. His wife are probably going to
- 44:32tune in and check it out in the very near future.
- 44:34And so is Speedy. Won't watch it.
- 44:36He doesn't like tits and ass anyways.
- 44:39Yeah, if it'll watch it. Kniffin.
- 44:41Kniffin likes Kniffin likes a lot of weird.
- 44:44Joba is not an athlete. Well, or.
- 44:47This I love Lisa Ann or suck my indo.
- 44:50You know, Niffin's a weirdo, but you know, by the way, I got a
- 44:53couple more for you to hear. Hold on, hold on.
- 44:56They call me the ladies man and Mr. Still You girl.
- 44:58I got to go back off now. Do you want to jerk me off?
- 45:01I'm putting you on a leash now. Smell my ass.
- 45:04Bagel hole. Glory hole.
- 45:07Yum Yum butt plug. I want to hit it.
- 45:10So that, ladies and gentlemen, is our PR manager, Nathan.
- 45:14How do you pronounce his name? Ramatandra.
- 45:16Yeah, exactly, Ramatandra. There he is.
- 45:19Mini mean Mr. Care Bear lost in translation.
- 45:22Blue blazer. This guy goes out in public with
- 45:25his blue blazer everywhere he goes to meet athletes and and I
- 45:28don't know if he washes it. So I gave him an idea.
- 45:31I said, listen, Nathan, get the athlete to sign it.
- 45:34As soon as it completely fills out in autographs, you frame it
- 45:38and you can say that is there. It is.
- 45:39He's he's. That was great.
- 45:41Yeah, there is Mr. Stearns as he tied them to a leash.
- 45:45But before we let you go, man, I see we have a lot of fun on this
- 45:50show and. I love it.
- 45:52So I said the answer is always yes to me.
- 45:54Yes. If I'm on this, I'm in.
- 45:56Let's make it happen. Well, don't say yes all the
- 45:58time, because I could do something that could kind of
- 46:00tell you say no in many different ways, but I don't want
- 46:04to, you know? There you go.
- 46:05There you are again. I like it.
- 46:07I mean, you do I, I think you should wear a Yankee hat because
- 46:09I think you'd look more sexier and I think your wife would
- 46:12probably agree with me. I tell you what, I, I will buy 1
- 46:15and I will take it to my own guide Embroidery Freeman on the
- 46:19side. They also had the they also,
- 46:21they also had a patch of the Dodgers championships and I, I
- 46:24wanted to put that on the side of a Yankee hat.
- 46:26Either way, I'm, I will be wearing a Yankee hat at some
- 46:28point this year. I'm sure to do that.
- 46:31We got to do something together off on a show.
- 46:34I think we'd be fun I. Think we'd go back.
- 46:36Hey, listen, I, I am so I'm with I work, I work with steady picks
- 46:40and they're they're over there in Philly, they're East Coast
- 46:43guys. There's a trip to be made out
- 46:45there. And when I do for sure, I think
- 46:48we should all attend to get some.
- 46:50I'd love to go to a Yankee game with some Yankee fans and, and
- 46:53be there. You know, I'm all for that's one
- 46:56thing about my content. Like we talked about earlier,
- 46:58people meet me. They're like, dude, you're like
- 46:59the same guy. I'm like, yeah, this is no act.
- 47:01I just sit here and make my videos.
- 47:02You meet me in real life, same dude.
- 47:04So I would welcome the unpleasantries that Yankees fans
- 47:08have for me. And and it's I tell baseball
- 47:11players the same thing, the big leaguers.
- 47:13I'm like, look, I go after the fans, the team, the owners.
- 47:16I will never really go after the man in the area.
- 47:19I don't fuck with you guys. I will joke around with you.
- 47:22I will not gonna. I know, I know.
- 47:24I will a lot of anybody that knows me on this show, Jake,
- 47:27anybody that knows me, they say, oh, this guys not real.
- 47:30This is anybody that knows Speedy.
- 47:32Am I even crazier off air? Yes, I I, I probably one of the
- 47:37craziest people you'll ever meet.
- 47:38I'm not climbing up poles when my team wins or eating horseshit
- 47:43like some of the Eagles fans will do.
- 47:45I don't do that. OK, that's not something I will
- 47:48do. But everything else, you bet
- 47:51your ass I probably do it. So and it's not even a dare.
- 47:54I'm probably the craziest person and it's not an act.
- 47:57I, I don't act anything. This is not an act.
- 48:00And, and I try to be fair with all the fans that do.
- 48:02Listen to the show all over the country on Spotify and Apple
- 48:05that don't get a chance. And you can actually watch it on
- 48:08video now, Spotify and Apple. So all the fans that have
- 48:11checked it out on video, you get to know us personally.
- 48:14But the one thing I could say about you, Jake, is you're real
- 48:18and I know personally who you are because I do watch your
- 48:23stuff and I do. I do take in your logic when it
- 48:29comes to baseball. The one thing I could say about
- 48:32you is you're completely wrong trying to compare the Yankees of
- 48:36the 90s to the Dodges. Now I will tell you you're
- 48:39completely wrong, and I will tell you what Nathan will do to
- 48:42you. Do you want to jerk me off?
- 48:44OK. That's that's about it.
- 48:46I'll give you that I probably am completely wrong.
- 48:48This team is this Dodgers team is way better than that Yankees
- 48:52team I was comparing to. I had no, I had no business
- 48:55comparing the two. That was a mistake on my end.
- 49:00Well, hey, fruit will be coming for you ladies.
- 49:02Man and Mr. Still your girl. A lot of hot ladies.
- 49:04Well, there's there should be a lot of hot ladies, but guess
- 49:06what? Only one that we always talk
- 49:08about. Speedy.
- 49:09'S mom. Hey, let me, let me ask you this
- 49:13before we go. January 6th I said Dominican
- 49:18Republic win in the World Baseball Classic.
- 49:19This lineup is ridiculous. Who do you guys have in this
- 49:22winning the whole thing? And then I guess a scale one to
- 49:2510. How good do you feel about the
- 49:27Yankees win in the 2026 World Series?
- 49:29Go ahead. That's my 2 questions.
- 49:30I had I picked the US over Japan final, Jamaican Republic has a
- 49:35breakout pitcher or two. They could definitely win it
- 49:37because their offense, I think it's the best in the tournament.
- 49:38But I had USA and Japan Yankees win in the World Series.
- 49:41I will give probably 7. All right, I have USA winning
- 49:46it. I I think USA now it all depends
- 49:49who pitches in the final game. Now we're hearing it could be
- 49:53McClain, depending on his his brain or his head or whatever
- 49:56the hell, his juju. So no, if it's somebody like
- 50:00maybe Schemes will pitch in that game or maybe it'll be a
- 50:02multiple bunch of pitchers that could pitch in that game.
- 50:06I, I think the, I, I think the United States has the best
- 50:08pitching out of all the teams in this tournament.
- 50:10Pitching wins championships. I think the United States will
- 50:14win this. I think it's going to be USA and
- 50:16Japan. I, I don't know how the how
- 50:19everything works out when it comes to the semi finals.
- 50:22If the Dominican Republic plays to Team USA or they play Japan,
- 50:25they could beat Japan and they could beat Team USAI don't like
- 50:28the Dominican Republic pitching. That's the only thing I can say
- 50:31about that. As far as the Yankees winning a
- 50:34World Series right now, on paper, I don't think they're
- 50:39going to win the World Series. But there's a lot of baseball to
- 50:44be played and there is a trade deadline.
- 50:46And if the Yankees had another bat to this line up, which I
- 50:50believe they will, and it if Garrett Cole comes back and he's
- 50:54even 90% healthy, watch out for the Yankees.
- 50:57This is the best pitching staff in baseball.
- 50:58If Garrick Hall is even 90% Garrick Hall even better than
- 51:02the Dodgers pitching staff. When when you have Blake Snell
- 51:05and Glass now and Otani and all those pitchers, I think the
- 51:08Yankees pitching is better than the Dodgers.
- 51:11And that's crazy to say, but I think the Yankees need another
- 51:14bat and get rid of Chisholm because you can't win with that
- 51:18idiot. I call him John.
- 51:19I call him, I call him Mr. Jism, because that's all he's worth.
- 51:23Nice little jizz or two. That's it.
- 51:26I do. I do love they're just throwing
- 51:28out these wild predictions on everything now, like whatever,
- 51:31Great Britain, we're going to shock some people.
- 51:32You watch this. OK, well, come on, I'm going.
- 51:37For 8 or 4 strikeouts. Yeah, it's amazing, I suppose.
- 51:40Mexican. It's 00 right now with Team USA
- 51:43and Mexico. Hey, I just looked it up to to
- 51:46your guys's points because I I think the Dominican will play
- 51:49them in the semis. I think the brackets line up
- 51:51that way. I'm not sure I want to say
- 51:54that's what it is. And then most likely Japan on
- 51:56the other side, the Dominican team hits the shit out of the
- 52:01ball. I looked at all three lineups
- 52:04from all three games. I think that they had seven guys
- 52:07with over 1000 OPS and I'm not a big stat guy, but they got 7
- 52:11guys in all three games in the lineup and it it's collective
- 52:15over the three games that are over 1000, which is just pop
- 52:19know how to hit, know how to get on.
- 52:21But then you look at the United States, they have 12345
- 52:24strikeouts against Mexico right now, which puts them at 38 KS
- 52:29and one walk in their in their 2 1/2 games they've played.
- 52:32Breaking news, give me that chicken Curry.
- 52:35Breaking news, I need a gender tonic.
- 52:38Breaking news, I need Brittany also.
- 52:40Breaking news, I want to hit it. Breaking news, Lick it and stick
- 52:45it. Breaking news.
- 52:46Happy kick. I need a soundboard.
- 52:49Make her squirt. Make me jerk.
- 52:51You're gonna get all of those on this hypothetical dates.
- 52:53Start with the Genesee. On the teeth, I get more girls
- 52:56than scoops. Anyways, there you go.
- 52:59So they, they, I love that. I love that I give you those
- 53:02stats to say we could see the the best hitting team of all
- 53:05time against the best pitching team of all time.
- 53:07That would be pretty cool. I got the bubble guts diarrhea
- 53:11down their leg and you got to have the booty.
- 53:16You guys are awesome. This is a this is a show that
- 53:19should be listened to. I will say that as a as a Dodger
- 53:22guy talking to some some New Yorkers, this show should be
- 53:26listened and streamed by a lot of people.
- 53:29You guys do a great job. Which is it's really structured.
- 53:31I'm not licking anyone. Men in Black Memory Eraser.
- 53:35I don't know. Chocolate's a good flavor.
- 53:37I don't drink a lot of milk. That's crazy.
- 53:44I got more. Hold on, here's a couple of
- 53:46mine. Whore bag.
- 53:48I look delicious. Play with your flankies.
- 53:51Thumb up your ass. Why don't you buffed everything
- 53:53out again? I'm anal all sucker he is.
- 53:59Goofy wants. Soda's a bitch.
- 54:02Hey can I say this, the my most favorite times in my life are
- 54:06the times I look back and go how the fuck did I get here?
- 54:09And this is one of those times so thank you for that.
- 54:12Give me that time. Well, we love you Jake and.
- 54:19Keep up the good. Work.
- 54:20Let's talk off air. We we got to do.
- 54:22Something, yeah, I think it's 100%, I think.
- 54:24It'll be fun, but Jake's a Vicky area.
- 54:26But come on, give him a golf clap, Speedy, give him a golf
- 54:28clap. Come on.
- 54:30Golf clap. A little golf clap.
- 54:31We love you man, we love you. I mean Speedy likes to slide it
- 54:34right in as we all know, but he likes to do other things.
- 54:37Go check your lug nuts. Got caught in the throat.
- 54:41Do you know a rooster is a cock? If cocks could kill, who wants
- 54:44to get the ass? And you got to put your tongue
- 54:46on something. It's wild.
- 54:51That is awesome. How much?
- 54:53How much of the show you guys got left?
- 54:54What do you got when? I we got a lot left we got after
- 54:58you we got speedy 6 pack of the week we got Jason Tatum he
- 55:01returns to the Celtics. How does this how does this work
- 55:05for the New York Knicks in Eastern Conference?
- 55:07We got call your shot caged in MMA.
- 55:09We're going to get into the UFC 3/26 as we all know what
- 55:13happened, Oliveira and Max Holloway, which was complete
- 55:17domination. And then we got what's that
- 55:18smell? So we got a lot more to go, my
- 55:20friend. So keep listening.
- 55:21I'm sure you'll get a chance to see some crazy things.
- 55:24There's a lot left on this show. And maybe Speedy will, you know,
- 55:28pull his pants down, maybe scare a lot of people away, right,
- 55:31Speedy? The odds of that happening are
- 55:33are less than the odds of Nathan getting Lee Sam.
- 55:35Well, that's true. I mean, or it could be something
- 55:38like this. Hold on, hold on.
- 55:40Here we go. Anyone Blood I?
- 55:42Didn't say my Weiner. Because they don't have tongues.
- 55:45Sex part in I would not be able to taste in my ass, why would I
- 55:50want to pull jobless panties down?
- 55:55You know, I hope people watch this because those sounds are so
- 55:58much funnier when I look at Speedy and he's like this the
- 56:00whole time he's. Like just the lady.
- 56:06He's just like, when is this going to end?
- 56:08When is this? But it starts for your back.
- 56:13This does the best ones. No, it doesn't matter what we
- 56:18get bareback. He can clean themselves.
- 56:21The gross sexual action of cream on somebody's face.
- 56:24Dissect. Amazing.
- 56:29Absolutely amazing. Oh, Jake, we love you.
- 56:31Keep blessing. I love you guys too.
- 56:33We love you, baby. You are my favorite online
- 56:36Yankee fans. You're my favorite online New
- 56:39Yorkers, I'll tell you that. Well, we don't know.
- 56:41That's the crazy thing. Everybody thinks that we just
- 56:43because we're wearing Yankee stuff and everything, we're not
- 56:46just New York guys. We talk all sports.
- 56:48We talk Dodgers, Lakers, we talk everything.
- 56:50Whatever is the story out there, we kill it.
- 56:53But we're we're, we're going to make a major announcement in the

- 57:22people checking out his stuff. He can, he can give us a, a
- 57:25couple of things, you know, tips or two when it comes to our

- 57:30And you know, it's crazy when we get guys like Jake on the show,
- 57:33We get guys that are content creators and they check out our
- 57:35show and you know, they're, they go on other shows and stuff like
- 57:38that. We want them to feel at home.
- 57:40We want them to feel comfortable and we're not any different than
- 57:44anybody we have on the show. We get an ex athlete or an
- 57:46athlete that's in the game. Jake is a unique individual
- 57:50because he gets athletes on his show and he has a way of
- 57:53interviewing them. When I bring people like Jake on
- 57:56the show, I know his personality because he reminds me of me.
- 58:00You know, he's he's up and upfront with everything that
- 58:03comes out of his mouth. Sometimes a little too upfront
- 58:06and he just gives you his take to it and he's not afraid to
- 58:10smash it on your face. If it's a pie from AJ Burnett or
- 58:13Speedy, dropping some knowledge or hopefully not wearing any
- 58:17dirty underwear, right, Speedy. I'm not wearing any dirty
- 58:20underwear. Anyone.
- 58:21The gross sexual action of cream on somebody's face, No.

- 1:00:09geese, if you know what I mean. Anyways, yeah, thank you, Kenny,
