April 30 - Making Room for One Another · Bible Chat Devotional

• 0:02
Welcome to Bible Chat, where we have devotional conversations
• 0:06
rooted in scripture and relevant for today, April 30th.
• 0:11
Words that build lives that shine.
• 0:14
Your words can either add weight to someone's burden or help them
• 0:17
breathe again. Proverbs chapter 15 verses 7 to
• 0:21
8 says the lips of the wise spread knowledge and reminds us
• 0:25
that the prayer of the upright is acceptable to the Lord.
• 0:29
God cares about both what comes out of our mouths to people and
• 0:33
what rises from our hearts to Him.
• 0:36
Romans chapter 15 verse 5 asks the God of endurance and
• 0:40
encouragement to help believers live in harmony with one
• 0:43
another. Romans chapter 16, verse 17
• 0:47
warns us to watch out for those who cause division and create
• 0:51
obstacles against the truth. Together, these passages remind
• 0:55
us that followers of Jesus are called to be people of life,
• 0:58
unity and sincere prayer. That matters because division is
• 1:02
easy. Gossip is easy, sarcasm is easy,
• 1:07
complaining is easy. But encouragement takes
• 1:09
  intention. Harmony takes humility.
• 1:12
Prayer takes sincerity. God is not looking for empty
• 1:15
religious performance. While our words tear people
• 1:18
down, He wants hearts that are upright, mouths that speak
• 1:21
wisdom, and lives that shine with love.
• 1:24
Think about your conversations lately, your texts, your posts,
• 1:27
your comments, your tone at home.
• 1:30
Are your words spreading knowledge, peace, and
• 1:33
encouragement, or are they feeding drama, negativity, and
• 1:36
division? You do not have to speak
• 1:38
perfectly, but you can surrender your speech to God.
• 1:42
You can ask Him to make your words more thoughtful.
• 1:44
You can choose prayer over performance and unity over
• 1:47
conflict. In a world full of noise, a wise
• 1:50
and gracious voice stands out. Let your words build.
• 1:54
Let your prayers be sincere. Let your life shine in a way
• 1:57
that honors the God who hears you.
• 1:59
Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for
• 2:02
hearing my prayers and caring about my words.
• 2:05
Help me speak with wisdom, encouragement, and grace.
• 2:08
Keep me from division, gossip, and empty performance.
• 2:12
Teach me to live in harmony with others and to honor You and what
• 2:15
I say, how I pray and how I love in Jesus name, Amen.
• 2:22
What if you could rise up and declare with full spiritual
• 2:25
authority, I shall not die but live Death Defeated is a
• 2:29
powerful five book prayer series for believers who are ready to
• 2:33
confront premature death, break demonic cycles, and enforce
• 2:36
God's covenant of life over their destiny and household.
• 2:39
Book 1, Deliverance from Death, breaks chains of premature death
• 2:43
and generational attacks. Book 2, Destruction of Death's
• 2:46
Devices exposes hidden traps and dismantles the enemy schemes.
• 2:50
Book three, Divine defense against Death, activates
• 2:53
  supernatural protection and divine preservation.
• 2:56
Book 4, Disarming the Destroyer overthrows deadly assaults and
• 3:00
  silences the spirit of destruction.
• 3:02
Book 5, Dominion over Death establishes resurrection
• 3:05
authority, victorious living, and destiny fulfillment in
• 3:08
Christ. This series equips you with
• 3:10
Scripture anchored prophetic prayers to reject fear, cancel
• 3:13
dark decrees, and walk in divine preservation.

• 3:20
Now I invite you to spend time with God in today's three-year
• 3:23
Bible reading plan. Proverbs chapter 15 verses 7 to
• 3:28
9 World English Bible. The lips of the wise spread
• 3:32
knowledge. Not so with the heart of fools.
• 3:35
The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, but
• 3:39
the prayer of the upright is His delight.
• 3:42
The way of the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, but he
• 3:45
loves him who follows after righteousness.
• 3:48
Romans, chapters 15 to 16, World English Bible.
• 3:53
Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of the weak,
• 3:56
and not to please ourselves. Let each one of us please his
• 3:59
neighbor for that which is good to be building him up.
• 4:03
For even Christ didn't please himself.
• 4:06
But as it is written, the reproaches of those who
• 4:09
reproached you fell on me. For whatever things were written
• 4:12
before, were written for our learning, that through
• 4:15
perseverance and through encouragement of the Scriptures
• 4:18
we might have hope. Now the God of perseverance and
• 4:22
of encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one
• 4:25
another, according to Christ Jesus, that with 1 accord you
• 4:30
may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
• 4:33
  Christ. Therefore accept one another,
• 4:37
even as Christ also accepted you, to the glory of God.
• 4:41
Now I say that Christ has been made a servant of the
• 4:44
circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the
• 4:47
promises given to the Father's, and that the Gentiles might
• 4:50
glorify God for His mercy as it is written.
• 4:54
Therefore I will give praise to you among the Gentiles, and sing
• 4:57
to your name. Again he says, Rejoice you
• 5:00
Gentiles, with his people. Again, praise the Lord, all you
• 5:04
Gentiles, let all the peoples praise him.
• 5:08
Again, Isaiah says there will be the root of Jesse, he who arises
• 5:12
to rule over the Gentiles. In him the Gentiles will hope.
• 5:17
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace, and
• 5:20
believing that you may abound in hope in the power of the Holy
• 5:23
Spirit. I myself am also persuaded about
• 5:27
you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness,
• 5:30
filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish others.
• 5:35
But I write the more boldly to you in part as reminding you,
• 5:39
because of the grace that was given to me by God, that I
• 5:42
should be a servant of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, serving
• 5:46
as a priest of the good news of God, that the offering up of the
• 5:49
Gentiles might be made acceptable, sanctified by the
• 5:52
Holy Spirit. I have therefore my boasting in
• 5:56
Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God, for I will
• 6:00
not dare to speak of any things except those which Christ worked
• 6:03
through me for the obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed,
• 6:07
in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of God's
• 6:11
Spirit. So that from Jerusalem and
• 6:13
around, as far as to Illyricum, I have fully preached the good
• 6:16
news of Christ. Yes, making it my aim to preach
• 6:19
the good news, not where Christ was already named, that I might
• 6:24
not build on another's foundation, but as it is
• 6:27
written. They will see to whom no news of
• 6:30
Him came. They who haven't heard will
• 6:32
understand. Therefore also I was hindered
• 6:35
these many times from coming to you, but now no longer having
• 6:39
any place in these regions and having these many years of
• 6:43
longing to come to you, whenever I travel to Spain, I will come
• 6:47
to you. For I hope to see you on my
• 6:49
journey and to be helped on my way there by you.
• 6:52
If first I may enjoy your company for a while, but now I
• 6:56
say I am going to Jerusalem, serving the Saints.
• 7:00
For it has been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaea
• 7:03
to make a certain contribution for the poor among the Saints
• 7:06
who are at Jerusalem. Yes, it has been their good
• 7:10
pleasure, and they are their debtors.
• 7:12
For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their
• 7:15
spiritual things, they owe it to them also to serve them in
• 7:18
material things. When, therefore, I have
• 7:21
accomplished this and have sealed to them this fruit, I
• 7:24
will go on by way of you to Spain.
• 7:27
I know that when I come to you I will come in the fullness of the
• 7:30
blessing of the good news of Christ.
• 7:33
Now I beg you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the
• 7:37
love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in your
• 7:40
prayers to God for me, that I may be delivered from those who
• 7:44
are disobedient in Judea, and that my service which I have for
• 7:47
Jerusalem may be acceptable to the Saints, that I may come to
• 7:51
you in joy through the will of God, and together with you find
• 7:56
rest. Now the God of peace be with you
• 7:58
all, Amen. I commend to you Phoebe, our
• 8:02
sister, who is a servant of the assembly that is at sanctuary,
• 8:06
that you receive her in the Lord in a way worthy of the Saints,
• 8:10
and that you assist her in whatever matter she may need
• 8:12
from you. For she herself also has been a
• 8:15
helper of many and of my own self.
• 8:18
Greet Priska and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus,
• 8:22
who risk their own necks for my life, to whom not only I give
• 8:26
thanks, but also all the assemblies of the Gentiles.
• 8:30
Greet the assembly that is in their house.
• 8:32
Greet Epinetus, my beloved, who is the first fruits of Achaea to
• 8:36
Christ. Greet Mary, who labored much for
• 8:38
us. Greet Andronicus and Junia, my
• 8:42
relatives and my fellow prisoners, who are notable among
• 8:45
the apostles who are also in Christ before me.
• 8:48
Greet Amplyas my beloved in the Lord.
• 8:51
Greet urbanists, our fellow worker in Christ and stashes, my
• 8:55
beloved. Greet Apels, the approved in
• 8:57
Christ. Greet those who are of the
• 8:59
household of Aristobulus. Greet Herodian, my kinsman.
• 9:04
Greet them of the household of Narcissus, who are in the Lord.
• 9:08
Greet Trifina and Trifosa, who labor in the Lord.
• 9:11
Greet persists the beloved who labored much in the Lord.
• 9:15
Greet Rufus, the chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine.
• 9:19
Greet asynchronous Phlegon, Hermes, Petrobas, Hermes, and
• 9:22
the brothers who are with them. Greet Phyllagus and Julia,
• 9:26
Nerius and his sister, and Olympus and all the Saints who
• 9:29
are with them. Greet one another with a holy
• 9:32
kiss. The assemblies of Christ greet
• 9:34
you. Now I beg you, brothers, look
• 9:38
out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of
• 9:40
stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and
• 9:44
turn away from them. For those who are such don't
• 9:47
serve our Lord Jesus Christ but their own belly, and by their
• 9:51
smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the
• 9:54
innocent. For your obedience has become
• 9:57
known to all. I rejoice therefore over you,
• 10:00
but I desire to have you wise in that which is good, but innocent
• 10:04
in that which is evil. And the God of peace will
• 10:07
quickly crush Satan under your feet.
• 10:09
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
• 10:12
Timothy, my fellow worker, greets you as De Lucius, Jason
• 10:16
and Saucipater, my relatives. I, Tertius, who write the
• 10:20
letter, greet you in the Lord. Gaius, my host and host of the
• 10:24
whole assembly, greets you. Erastus, the treasurer of the
• 10:27
city, greets you, as does Quartus the brother.
• 10:31
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
• 10:33
Amen. Thanks for joining us on Bible
