- 0:13Oh, the propaganda. It is running rife in Australia
- 0:18at the moment with the Yes campaign.
- 0:21One thing you know, if you keep telling someone a lie, you keep
- 0:24propagating lies. Just repeating them?
- 0:26Repeating them? Repeating them.
- 0:28Prince and repeat, all people eventually believe the lie,
- 0:32believe it as truth now. And if you keep telling telling
- 0:36a group of people that you know they can't do anything on their
- 0:38own, they're absolutely useless. You know, what can they do
- 0:41without without someone else's support, without someone else
- 0:44helping them long? They are disadvantaged in every
- 0:48way. They are not intelligent enough
- 0:50to do anything themselves unless you have the almighty government
- 0:55holding them being their crutch. They can't do anything.
- 0:59They're too silly. The Yes campaign, $20 million.
- 1:05Apparently they're spending on this campaign, on the the
- 1:08creating of this ad and the campaign, the whole campaign in
- 1:11general, 20 million just for what is basically just
- 1:19propaganda. Propaganda.
- 1:21Let's check it out. Like up in a country that is my
- 1:27voice, will I live as long as other Australians?
- 1:32Will I get to go to a good school?
- 1:36Will I be able to learn my people's language?
- 1:39Will I be seen beyond the sports field, recognized by the
- 1:43decision makers of our country? Yes.
- 1:48Makes it possible. OK, stop right there.
- 1:52Cute kid, good looking young fellow.
- 1:55Yes, makes it possible. Oh my goodness.
- 2:00Let's just go back. I'm gonna go back.
- 2:01And for all the points, let's let's stop it.
- 2:04Let's stop it and check out, and we'll go refute a few things
- 2:07here. Will I grow up in a country that
- 2:10is my voice? Will I grow up in a country that
- 2:13he is my voice? Yes.
- 2:15You already grow up in a country that will hear your voice.
- 2:19It's up. It's up to you.
- 2:20We all have a voice. Part of that having a voice is
- 2:25that we all get to vote. We we all get to stand up and
- 2:28and say what we believe you, you have a voice already voting yes.
- 2:35Having the voice referendum, having the voice in parliament
- 2:40is, is not going to change it. You already have a voice.
- 2:43But anyway they they would tell you that no, you don't have a
- 2:46voice. You're just a silent minority.
- 2:48You have to just sit there. Can't say anything.
- 2:50Just shut up, little black boy. Life live as long as other
- 2:55strength. Well, I live as long as other
- 2:57Australians. Well, again, that's really a
- 3:01choice that figures show Indigenous people will not live
- 3:08do not live as long. OK, some, some, a lot of that
- 3:13unfortunately is because of the choices that that we Indigenous
- 3:19people tend to make. OK, you can make.
- 3:23Proper choices. We have the information we have
- 3:25the ability, we have the things that our fingertips which which
- 3:29can enable us to live a long and prosperous life in this country.
- 3:34We're in a country where if something's not going right, we
- 3:38can. We've got plenty of help.
- 3:41We can live longer. We we can find it.
- 3:43The information we can stop. Stop relying on the drugs, stop
- 3:46relying on the alcohol. Stop relying on these crutches
- 3:50that we've been told that we need.
- 3:53Things that basically just pull us back and you know you don't
- 3:56have to live. I know it's hard to move away
- 3:59from your communities, but you can go, You can find excellent
- 4:03medical help in this nation if you educate yourself and you
- 4:07want to live longer. You can live longer, OK, but you
- 4:11have to make the decision and do it for yourself.
- 4:14Because, let's face it, everyone can die early now.
- 4:20Anyway, I I won't get into the spiritual aspects of it that
- 4:22any. But you know it is.
- 4:24Again, it's another thing that's just up.
- 4:26It's up to you. In reality, let's keep going
- 4:29propaganda. Well, I get to go to a good
- 4:33school. Well, I get to go to a good
- 4:36school. Australia has some of the best
- 4:38education in the world. You.
- 4:41Yeah, even. Again, precious moments, even
- 4:47when you're living out in some of these.
- 4:51Rural town, small rural towns. You still have teachers who are
- 4:55very highly educated, university educated.
- 4:59With the Internet the way it is, you can access so much
- 5:03information you can learn. You can go, yes, yes, rural
- 5:08learning with this and this is a struggle that's been going on in
- 5:11Australia for years and years and years with your Blackwater
- 5:14Brindle and the color of your skin does not.
- 5:19Does not prevent you from getting a good education.
- 5:22You can find the books. You don't even have to buy
- 5:25books. You can find it all on the
- 5:26Internet. Keep going.
- 5:29Again, Education is something that very much relies, can rely,
- 5:35you can change, you can make the difference.
- 5:37If you want to be educated, you can be educated in this country.
- 5:43Will I be able to learn my people's language?
- 5:46Yeah, OK. It's not up to the government to
- 5:47teach you your people's language.
- 5:49When when I worked up Far North and other areas that actually
- 5:52speak their own language, it's the community leaders that speak
- 5:57the language. It wasn't up to the school or
- 5:58the government. You can learn your own language
- 6:02usually if you live. If you live in these community
- 6:04areas, the elders speak the language.
- 6:07Other people speak the language. You learn from them.
- 6:10Again, this isn't up to the voice isn't going to change
- 6:12that. The government, that's not the
- 6:14government's responsibility. Stop relying on the government,
- 6:17especially for language. Will I be seen beyond the sports
- 6:21field? Will I be seen beyond the
- 6:24sports? OK, just I'll go just one.
- 6:27One example. Jonathan Thurston, you know,
- 6:32proud Indigenous rugby league player, very famous, especially
- 6:35up here in the North, you know he?
- 6:38He's used the platform that the sports field has given him and
- 6:43he's going on to make other contributions in this world.
- 6:47He is going on to do some great things within the Indigenous
- 6:50community, helping encouraging young Indigenous children to
- 6:54continue in school. He's doing great things.
- 6:56He is being seen for more than just the sportsman, but but So
- 7:02what? It's up to you.
- 7:03Again, it's up to you. It's up to you.
- 7:06You get, you get given this platform.
- 7:08If you're good at sports, you're on this platform.
- 7:11It's up to you. What are you going to do with
- 7:12that platform? Again, it doesn't matter whether
- 7:15you're Blackwater Brindle. This is annoying.
- 7:20I'm really finding this annoying.
- 7:22Recognized by the decision makers of our country.
- 7:26What was that? Let's go back, go back head
- 7:32sports fields because. Of our country Likey.
- 7:36Strike you, mate. Recognized by the decision
- 7:39makers of our country. Ah yeah, the sports field.
- 7:43Makes. It possible?
- 7:44Yes. Makes it possible.
- 7:46OK, this whole thing is just propaganda.
- 7:51Yes, makes it possible. All of it is already possible.
- 7:56Every single bit of it is already possible.
- 7:59A lot of it, if you want it to be possible.
- 8:02A lot of it is driven by will be driven by you.
- 8:06And your family. But it is all possible already.
- 8:12And these same kind of hardships.
- 8:15Like I said, doesn't matter about the color of your skin,
- 8:18doesn't matter about your cultural heritage.
- 8:21Different. Oh sorry.
- 8:25I just found this ad infuriating when I saw it.
- 8:28Infuriating. Let me know what you think.
- 8:32Propaganda. It's propagate.
- 8:33It's just propaganda. Stop lying.
- 8:35Stop lying to people. Stop lying to the indigenous
- 8:38community and feeding them this, this crud that they are just,
- 8:43you know, without the voice, they're just we're just useless.
- 8:47We can't do anything on our own. I don't need the government.
- 8:53Don't don't need the government to help me stay out of my fuss.
- 8:59It's annoying. Let me know what you think.
- 9:02Thanks for listening to this slippery slide.
- 9:04They just
