- 0:00Speaker 1: Mister New York Marcealone on wor.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Well the breaking news straight of hormones open, stock market soaring,
- 0:19Speaker 2: It's heading to fifty thousand. Stock market up over one
- 0:23Speaker 2: thousand points, S and P five hundred at an all
- 0:27Speaker 2: time record high. Check oil prices here, yep. Still dropping.
- 0:37Speaker 2: US oil WTI eighty one dollars a barrow, Brent crude
- 0:41Speaker 2: dropping to eighty six dollars a barrow, but that'll continue.
- 0:46Speaker 2: It's an amazing victory for the United States. The war
- 0:51Speaker 2: should be wrapping up pretty soon. This is not going
- 0:54Speaker 2: to make Democrats happy. Morning Joe on suicide Watch lot
- 1:00Speaker 2: of over the New York Times. Very gloomy over there.
- 1:04Speaker 2: They did not want to see us win this, President Trump.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Look at look how righty turned out to be yesterday.
- 1:09Speaker 3: I will say the Warren Iran is going along swimmingly.
- 1:14Speaker 1: We can do whatever we want, and it should be.
- 1:19Speaker 1: It should be ending pretty soon.
- 1:20Speaker 2: It was perfect. Yeah, very upset over at MS now CNN,
- 1:28Speaker 2: very upset over there. I'm sure the Pope's not too
- 1:32Speaker 2: happy about us doing so well in our in the
- 1:34Speaker 2: President continuing to speak out about the Pope.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Nothing against the Pope. His brother's maga all the way.
- 1:39Speaker 3: I like his brother Lewis, I'm not fighting with us.
- 1:42Speaker 3: The Pope made a statement he says Iran can have
- 1:45Speaker 3: a nuclear weapon. I say Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
- 1:48Speaker 3: And if the Pope looked at the forty two thousand
- 1:51Speaker 3: people that were killed over the last two or three
- 1:53Speaker 3: months as a protester with no weapons, no nothing, I mean,
- 1:58Speaker 3: you take a look at that. So I could disagree
- 2:00Speaker 3: with the.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Yeah, you to. You don't want to ever go after
- 2:05Speaker 2: a pope or say anything negative about a pope. But
- 2:08Speaker 2: in this case, the guy brought it on himself, this
- 2:10Speaker 2: Pope Leo, and he's got a history of this all
- 2:12Speaker 2: of his life, sounding off on politics, going way out
- 2:16Speaker 2: of his lane. He got no business speaking about all
- 2:20Speaker 2: of this stuff. But this pope has been huge for
- 2:24Speaker 2: open borders. He wants open borders everywhere. He does not
- 2:29Speaker 2: think we should go after Iran, the most terrorist awful
- 2:32Speaker 2: regime in the world. We should leave him alone and
- 2:35Speaker 2: not bother them. Strange views for a pope. Even if
- 2:38Speaker 2: you had those views, even stranger that you would go
- 2:40Speaker 2: public with him. It doesn't make much sense at all.
- 2:43Speaker 2: So that's the good news. Eric swallwell as we mentioned
- 2:49Speaker 2: earlier this week, facing criminal charges in New York, now
- 2:52Speaker 2: facing possible criminal charges in Los Angeles, and it looks
- 2:56Speaker 2: now like the Justice Department will go after him. Jeanine Piro,
- 3:00Speaker 2: US attorney in d C now investigating, so he may
- 3:03Speaker 2: be facing three criminal cases. President Trump yesterday asked about
- 3:08Speaker 2: Eric Swalwell. Three word response, He's a sleeze bag. Well,
- 3:15Speaker 2: that sums it up. He's a sleeze bag, always has been.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Trump said, he's a bad guy. I don't know anything
- 3:22Speaker 2: about the charges, but he's a bad guy. Every Democrat
- 3:25Speaker 2: now coming out in Congress, the ones that were defending
- 3:27Speaker 2: them all along, some of them are running and hiding,
- 3:29Speaker 2: like Adam Schiff and those type of guys that kept
- 3:32Speaker 2: promoting him, Jimmy Kimmel. Nobody promoted him more than Jimmy Kimmel.
- 3:37Speaker 2: They're all running and hiding. But a lot of Democrats
- 3:39Speaker 2: and a lot of Republicans coming out and saying he
- 3:40Speaker 2: was just a bad, bad, bad guy.
- 3:44Speaker 4: Now.
- 3:45Speaker 2: The other thing is with a lot of these women
- 3:47Speaker 2: in these accusations that what happened with the women, it
- 3:50Speaker 2: was in hotels. And the problem is that every time
- 3:53Speaker 2: you do this, you go to a hotel. There's a
- 3:54Speaker 2: paper trail, there's surveillance video. You know, you can back
- 3:58Speaker 2: up the woman's case. And it turns out he spent
- 4:01Speaker 2: a lot of money on these hotels, five hundred thousand dollars,
- 4:05Speaker 2: and it turns out it was donor money. The donors
- 4:08Speaker 2: cash was spent on all these luxury hotels. Five hundred thousand.
- 4:15Speaker 2: In just the last year. He racked up thirty seven
- 4:18Speaker 2: thousand in hotel bills. US and Mexico spent a lot
- 4:22Speaker 2: of money on hotels. All right, let's get to something
- 4:26Speaker 2: more important. You know, you used to have cable TV,
- 4:30Speaker 2: and the cable bills got out of control. Your cable
- 4:33Speaker 2: bill used to be fifty sixty bucks. Next thing you know,
- 4:35Speaker 2: it was one hundred buck. Then it was two hundred bucks.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Now it got to be three hundred. Your cable bill
- 4:40Speaker 2: was insane. You had two thousand channels. You only watched
- 4:44Speaker 2: ten of them, but you had thousands of It was ridiculous.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Then cutting the cord began. People began cutting the cord.
- 4:50Speaker 2: I don't need the cable system. That was pretty easy.
- 4:54Speaker 2: At YouTube. Maybe I'll get Netflix. You know, he had
- 4:56Speaker 2: a couple of streaming services. Well, now there's so many
- 5:01Speaker 2: streaming services, and every time you got a streaming service,
- 5:04Speaker 2: every two seconds they're raising the price. And between your
- 5:08Speaker 2: this streaming service and net streaming service, you're right back
- 5:11Speaker 2: up that two three hundred a month on this stuff.
- 5:13Speaker 2: But people are starting to rebel. The lot of cord
- 5:17Speaker 2: cutters are now what would you call this, stream cutters?
- 5:20Speaker 2: Stream cutting is going nuts right now. Netflix, HBO Max
- 5:26Speaker 2: are having subscriber revolts. You know, it was nine dollars
- 5:30Speaker 2: a month, and it was a lot of them. It's
- 5:32Speaker 2: now twenty seven dollars a month for Netflix, HBO Max
- 5:36Speaker 2: is twenty three dollars a month. You all adds up.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Because it used to be the problem with cable you
- 5:42Speaker 2: had to have all, you know, five hundred channels, and
- 5:45Speaker 2: it's the same thing with streaming. If you want to
- 5:47Speaker 2: watch everything, you got to have Netflix, Disney, Hulu, HBO Max.
- 5:52Speaker 2: The problem was Netflix was the original and it was great,
- 5:57Speaker 2: and Netflix paid a fortune to all all the different
- 6:00Speaker 2: studios for content. They bought all the movies and TV
- 6:03Speaker 2: shows and everything, and they bought them from Disney and
- 6:05Speaker 2: from Paramount and from Universal, and Netflix was booming, and
- 6:12Speaker 2: then the heads of those companies like Bob Eiger. They
- 6:15Speaker 2: even said it publicly. He said, you know, I started
- 6:17Speaker 2: looking at this Netflix and how much money they were making,
- 6:19Speaker 2: and I thought to myself, well, why are we giving
- 6:23Speaker 2: them content? Why don't we set up our own channel
- 6:25Speaker 2: and stop splitting it with them? So they created their
- 6:28Speaker 2: own Disney channel, and then Paramount said, huh, why are
- 6:31Speaker 2: we doing that? So then there's a Paramount channel. And
- 6:34Speaker 2: then so all the suppliers, all of a sudden, have
- 6:36Speaker 2: their own channel. And now it's too expensive. Who's going
- 6:39Speaker 2: to pay for all these different streaming services? And I
- 6:42Speaker 2: don't know what the answer to this is. You know,
- 6:45Speaker 2: if you have YouTube, it's free. There's not a lot
- 6:49Speaker 2: of new stuff. Well there is, but I mean far
- 6:51Speaker 2: as series and movies, not a lot of new stuff.
- 6:53Speaker 2: But you can watch everything in the world on YouTube.
- 6:56Speaker 2: And hey, I'll give you another one. This is my
- 6:58Speaker 2: new favorite streaming servis it's free, doesn't cost anything. Pluto TV.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Pluto TV, just put that app on your computer, on
- 7:08Speaker 2: your phone. It's got like one hundred and fifty channels.
- 7:11Speaker 2: And what they do is every show has its own channel.
- 7:15Speaker 2: It's not a lot of new stuff, but there's a
- 7:16Speaker 2: blue Bloods channel, there's a Breaking Bad channel, there's a
- 7:20Speaker 2: law and Order channel. It's free. I mean it has commercials.
- 7:23Speaker 2: They break for commercials. But Pluto TV it's you'll love it.
- 7:28Speaker 2: You'll look. There's a Colombo channel and it's got old
- 7:30Speaker 2: stuff too. This and all in the Family channel and
- 7:33Speaker 2: each show has its own twenty four hour channel. You'll
- 7:35Speaker 2: love it. Pluto TV. It's great. So hey, now President
- 7:41Speaker 2: Trump's trying to build the ballroom. So this crazy left
- 7:45Speaker 2: wing judge Richard leonce, first they stop construction. Now the
- 7:51Speaker 2: new ruling from a new judge, senior District judge, construction
- 7:55Speaker 2: cannot continue without congressional approval. President Trump saying, well, a
- 8:00Speaker 2: lot of the stuff under the ballroom is very important
- 8:03Speaker 2: national security. There's military stuff, there's a situation room, there's
- 8:08Speaker 2: a bunker, and there's all sorts of stuff. So the
- 8:11Speaker 2: judge said, okay, you can continue construction underground, but not
- 8:16Speaker 2: above ground. Absolutely ridiculous. So they'll keep pushing this to
- 8:21Speaker 2: higher and higher court. I'm sure he'll get permission for
- 8:24Speaker 2: the ballroom. Listen, it's been done a million times. They
- 8:27Speaker 2: added things to the White House, the West wing that
- 8:30Speaker 2: wasn't there originally. That was added to the White House.
- 8:32Speaker 2: You can add stuff to the ballroom. Looks a little
- 8:35Speaker 2: too big, but I mean the building from the outside
- 8:37Speaker 2: looks almost as big as the White House itself. But
- 8:40Speaker 2: we got very lucky in that the current president is
- 8:43Speaker 2: the world expert and now to build a ballroom. He's
- 8:46Speaker 2: done it all over the world. So when are you
- 8:48Speaker 2: gonna ever have that situation again? We have a president
- 8:50Speaker 2: who happens to be the world's greatest expert on building ballrooms,
- 8:53Speaker 2: so let him build the ballroom. Now, the next battle
- 8:56Speaker 2: will be the arch, and the Trump wants to build
- 9:01Speaker 2: the Victory Arch. It looks like the Arc de Triumph
- 9:05Speaker 2: in Paris or the one down in Washington Square Park,
- 9:08Speaker 2: although it's much much bigger, much bigger, two hundred and
- 9:12Speaker 2: fifty feet high. White House is only seventy feet high.
- 9:16Speaker 2: But this is huge, this arch. But it's absolutely magnificent.
- 9:20Speaker 2: The Commission of Fine Arts voted approval of it, so
- 9:24Speaker 2: he can continue. Now people will take this to court
- 9:27Speaker 2: and try to stop it. It's called the Victory Arch,
- 9:29Speaker 2: not the Trump Arch. It's at the National Mall. Now
- 9:34Speaker 2: they're arguing all kinds of the left wing coops that
- 9:37Speaker 2: hate anything Trump does. They're arguing that it obstructs the
- 9:41Speaker 2: view from Arlington National Cemetery. If you're Arlington National Cemetery
- 9:48Speaker 2: and you're looking towards d C, it obstructs the view.
- 9:51Speaker 2: But I hate to say it, but it's a cemetery.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Everybody's dead. I don't think they need a view the
- 9:59Speaker 2: people that are in the sense materia. It's really good,
- 10:01Speaker 2: not gonna be that important. It also seems to dwarf
- 10:04Speaker 2: the Lincoln Memorial. But it looks beautiful and it's a
- 10:09Speaker 2: great thing to do for the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary,
- 10:14Speaker 2: which is coming up. Two hundred and fiftieth anniversary is
- 10:18Speaker 2: this summer. It's going to be quite so be great
- 10:21Speaker 2: to have it done by then. Hey, our old buddy
- 10:26Speaker 2: Brian Williams. I know he got in a little trouble
- 10:28Speaker 2: here and there. I know he went a little left
- 10:30Speaker 2: wing on that ms NOW show, MSNBZ show. But Brian
- 10:34Speaker 2: Williams a good guy who's a regular on this show
- 10:37Speaker 2: all the time. We love Brian Williams. He's coming back Netflix.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Netflix has just signed him up. He will launch a
- 10:45Speaker 2: video podcast called We're Back with Brian Williams Interviews with newsmakers, actors, musicians, journalists.
- 10:54Speaker 2: He's quite a personality. He's good newsman, but he can
- 10:56Speaker 2: talk about entertainment all that stuff. So look for this
- 10:59Speaker 2: Brian Williams podcast soon. And Williams was quoted as saying,
- 11:04Speaker 2: with scientists predicting that every American will have a podcast
- 11:08Speaker 2: by twenty thirty, I thought it was time for me
- 11:10Speaker 2: to get in the game. All right, I agree. Gavin K. Newsom,
- 11:14Speaker 2: the crazy governor California. You know, he wants to run
- 11:18Speaker 2: for president. I don't think he's gonna make it, but
- 11:20Speaker 2: he wants to run for president. And he's been the
- 11:22Speaker 2: worst governor in America. Under his leadership, California has become
- 11:27Speaker 2: a total disaster. So what do you do about that?
- 11:30Speaker 2: He doesn't know how to fix it, so he can't
- 11:32Speaker 2: clean it up and fix it. So he's done what
- 11:35Speaker 2: he can do, which is he's hired a PR firm.
- 11:39Speaker 2: He came to New York. Edelman is a big political
- 11:41Speaker 2: PR firm. He's hired Edelman, big powerful PR firm, twenty
- 11:45Speaker 2: million dollar contract, and what he wants them to do
- 11:48Speaker 2: is clean up the image of California. California may be
- 11:52Speaker 2: a disaster economically, everything may be terrible there, but too
- 11:57Speaker 2: complicated to fix it, so hire a PR firm to
- 11:59Speaker 2: make it sound like it's great. Twenty million dollar contract. Now,
- 12:03Speaker 2: I imagine the other thing in this is he wants
- 12:06Speaker 2: them to make him look great, and since he's the
- 12:09Speaker 2: one given out the contract, they'll be sure to make
- 12:12Speaker 2: him personally look great. However, a lot of lawmakers in
- 12:19Speaker 2: the legislature in California are starting to take a look
- 12:21Speaker 2: at this deal. They think it's a little sleazy that
- 12:23Speaker 2: he's spending taxpayer money on this, and they want to
- 12:27Speaker 2: look at the contract. They want to know how they
- 12:29Speaker 2: got this contract with the selection process was. So there's
- 12:32Speaker 2: going to be a little bit of fighting over this
- 12:35Speaker 2: whole thing and see what happens a you know, you'd
- 12:41Speaker 2: see certain things a certain restaurant, like there's a New
- 12:45Speaker 2: York restaurant or another restaurant and all of a sudden
- 12:47Speaker 2: they're all over the country, you know, or certain things
- 12:50Speaker 2: all of a sudden, there's like a Popeyes everywhere, or
- 12:52Speaker 2: how did Burger Kings? You know, like Jersey Mikes is
- 12:55Speaker 2: a good example, like kind of a local Jersey Mikes.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Next thing, you know, they're all over the country. How
- 13:00Speaker 2: did that happen? Well, it's these big big hedge funds, Blackstone,
- 13:05Speaker 2: Bain Capital. They find a good little restaurant, a little something,
- 13:10Speaker 2: and then they pump in a fortune and take it national.
- 13:14Speaker 2: And they look for a kind of place like dunkin Donuts.
- 13:17Speaker 2: It's pretty easy to run a dunkin Donuts. It's pretty
- 13:21Speaker 2: you know, they make it pretty simple. They streamline the
- 13:23Speaker 2: whole process. So all these big, big, big hedgehunds are
- 13:27Speaker 2: now looking at bagels, now, great bagels. That was strictly
- 13:31Speaker 2: a New York, Los Angeles, Florida kind of thing, but
- 13:34Speaker 2: they're now looking at bagels. You know, you had a
- 13:36Speaker 2: hand roll a bagel, make it perfect. There's certain places
- 13:40Speaker 2: Utopia Bagels and Queen's probably the best. In New York.
- 13:43Speaker 2: There's a Essa Bagel, and there's a lot of great
- 13:47Speaker 2: bagels in New York. But these hedge funds the apparently
- 13:50Speaker 2: there's better technology now it's not so complicated to make
- 13:53Speaker 2: these bagels. So the hedge funds are now getting into
- 13:57Speaker 2: the bagel business. They want to take these bagels and
- 14:00Speaker 2: make them national. Like the biggest, newest, hottest one is
- 14:02Speaker 2: pop up Bagels, which started as a pop up. But
- 14:06Speaker 2: now I got a whole bunch of stores in New York.
- 14:08Speaker 2: They can actually start in Connecticut. There's Connecticut, and there's
- 14:11Speaker 2: pop up bagels all over New York. The big hedge
- 14:14Speaker 2: ones are about to pump tens of millions and they
- 14:17Speaker 2: want to open these pop up bagels all over the place.
- 14:19Speaker 2: They are delicious. You can't buy one. That's part of
- 14:23Speaker 2: the it's a great deal for them. You have to
- 14:26Speaker 2: buy twelve. You have to buy a minimum of three.
- 14:29Speaker 2: But they're delicious. Z one hundred. Right down the hall,
- 14:32Speaker 2: there's a pop up bagel buffet this morning. They're great.
- 14:34Speaker 2: But you're going to start see bagels all over America.
- 14:39Speaker 2: So no matter where you are, you could be in
- 14:41Speaker 2: the middle of a green acre's Georgia and they'll be
- 14:45Speaker 2: pop up bagels there. Hey, what's gonna happen with the
- 14:47Speaker 2: Ed Sullivan Theater? Colbert is going off the air. I've
- 14:52Speaker 2: been trying to look into this. So far at CBS,
- 14:54Speaker 2: nobody has any plans to sell the theater. It's a
- 14:58Speaker 2: big Broadway theater. Was a Broadway theater for you. You
- 15:01Speaker 2: got like sixteen hundred seats. If you reconfigure it the
- 15:03Speaker 2: way it was it was a TV studio all through
- 15:06Speaker 2: the fifties and sixties, not just Ed Sullivan, but you
- 15:10Speaker 2: know that's where they did Password and I've Got a Secret,
- 15:13Speaker 2: and What's My Line? And Candid Camera. They were all
- 15:16Speaker 2: coming out of the Ed Sullivan Theater. Then it was
- 15:21Speaker 2: the Ed Sullivan Show went off. In the seventies, it
- 15:23Speaker 2: became a private TV studio. I think it was Reeve's
- 15:27Speaker 2: Teletape owned it and all through the eighties and into
- 15:31Speaker 2: the nineties, like from late seventies until about ninety two
- 15:36Speaker 2: when Letterman moved in. It was a TV facility. You
- 15:39Speaker 2: could rent it and Kate Nally came out of the
- 15:42Speaker 2: Ed Sullivan Theater and a lot of you know, I
- 15:45Speaker 2: remember doing telethons every year like that was that big one,
- 15:48Speaker 2: the Cerebral Palsy Telethon was done out of the Ed
- 15:50Speaker 2: Sullivan Theater. I used to be on that every year.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Was great because you'd find one of the old guys
- 15:55Speaker 2: that've been working there since the Beatles and he'd show
- 15:57Speaker 2: you that this is where the Beatles dressing room was,
- 15:59Speaker 2: this is where they came down. It was also behind
- 16:04Speaker 2: the scenes there a disgusting place where rats and everything around.
- 16:07Speaker 2: But they cleaned it up when they CBS bought it
- 16:10Speaker 2: for Letterman, So, uh, Colbert's about to go in there.
- 16:14Speaker 2: What are they going to do with it? No plans yet,
- 16:16Speaker 2: although a couple people at CBS have told me privately
- 16:19Speaker 2: they don't know if they'll keep it for They want
- 16:21Speaker 2: to continue doing stuff TV shows, But to run that
- 16:24Speaker 2: theater is very expensive, that big theater. It's much easier
- 16:29Speaker 2: just to move it into a TV studio, whatever late
- 16:31Speaker 2: night thing they do. Then try to run that huge
- 16:34Speaker 2: theater takes a lot of ushers, a lot of manpower,
- 16:36Speaker 2: a lot of this. Hey, well, take some calls. Next
- 16:38Speaker 2: eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
- 16:42Speaker 2: the number eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 16:46Speaker 2: If you're listening to Mark on the iHeartRadio.
- 16:49Speaker 1: App, save time and tap the preset button.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Now.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simone show on woor.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to uh Katie
- 17:01Speaker 2: and Deep River? Katie? How you doing?
- 17:04Speaker 4: I'm doing well? Mark?
- 17:05Speaker 2: Hi, where's Deep River?
- 17:07Speaker 4: I wanted to Yeah, Deep River, Connecticut?
- 17:10Speaker 2: Where's that?
- 17:14Speaker 4: Old Saybrook?
- 17:15Speaker 2: Oh, okay, I'll talk, I'll talk.
- 17:19Speaker 4: It's Yankee Magazine said, it's Uh the scruffy neighbor of
- 17:25Speaker 4: Essex and Old saybrook Well, that is quite something.
- 17:28Speaker 2: They'll really be proud of that. Old probably probably the
- 17:33Speaker 2: only person that's ever actually read Old Yankee magazine.
- 17:36Speaker 4: But okay, it's big news around here.
- 17:39Speaker 5: Yeah, Old Yankee Magazine.
- 17:42Speaker 2: I would expect to see like Mickey Rivers on the cover,
- 17:45Speaker 2: but go ahead.
- 17:48Speaker 4: It's usually like a Norman Rockwell painting of some kind,
- 17:51Speaker 4: something like that.
- 17:52Speaker 2: It sounds very nice.
- 17:55Speaker 4: It is, it's pretty good. I'm from I'm from Yorktown
- 17:58Speaker 4: Heights originally, so you know, I moved over to Connecticut.
- 18:02Speaker 4: So anyway, Well, I wanted to you mentioned mel Brooks
- 18:05Speaker 4: and this movie Spaceballs yesterday, and coincidentally, I had watched
- 18:10Speaker 4: Spaceballs the night before and I thought, well, that's really neat.
- 18:14Speaker 4: And then also coincidentally, Ronda Shear makes a little cameo
- 18:19Speaker 4: in that movie in the diner scene.
- 18:21Speaker 6: She does yeah.
- 18:23Speaker 2: And then when they called me last hour, I could
- 18:25Speaker 2: have talked to her about it.
- 18:26Speaker 7: I did.
- 18:27Speaker 4: I didn't get through. I didn't get through. Yeah, And
- 18:31Speaker 4: then I was like, I wonder what the chances are
- 18:33Speaker 4: that Ronda Shear is going to be on She's one
- 18:35Speaker 4: of my favorites and you had her on. So I
- 18:37Speaker 4: don't know what to do with that information, but I
- 18:39Speaker 4: think it's pretty neat.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Well, you are a coincidence machine. Well, Katie, nice to
- 18:44Speaker 2: talk to you. Thanks for calling call us again. Let's
- 18:46Speaker 2: go to uh Stewart in South Carolina. Stuart, how you doing, hey, Mark?
- 18:51Speaker 7: You know, I just want to mention the Liberals have
- 18:53Speaker 7: spent decades vilifying the police. Remember that used to pour
- 18:57Speaker 7: markets of war on the officers, and the officers did
- 19:01Speaker 7: absolutely nothing. I mean, nobody has any clue what it's
- 19:06Speaker 7: like to be a police officer, what it's like to
- 19:08Speaker 7: work every day on the street knowing you may never
- 19:12Speaker 7: go home. The Liberals have created this situation where people
- 19:18Speaker 7: think that it's perfectly okay to fight the police and
- 19:21Speaker 7: resist arrest because they know nothing's going to happen to them.
- 19:24Speaker 7: And then when you get an incident like this where
- 19:26Speaker 7: people are resisting arrest and the police have to fight them,
- 19:29Speaker 7: then the public is all up in arms. When they
- 19:31Speaker 7: have created this situation, it is just phenomenal. This is
- 19:36Speaker 7: we have a lot of NYPD officers who have left
- 19:38Speaker 7: that have come south and working down here in Florida.
- 19:41Speaker 7: South Carolina, Georgia, because it has just gotten so intolerable.
- 19:47Speaker 7: What it's like. There's like seven hundred and fifty thousand
- 19:50Speaker 7: uniformed officers across the United States for well over three
- 19:53Speaker 7: hundred and thirty million people. We are out manned, we
- 19:56Speaker 7: are out rhunned. And now the courts are against us,
- 20:00Speaker 7: rules are against us, not in the South but in
- 20:02Speaker 7: the North.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Now, it all started with those Jill Deblasio who came
- 20:05Speaker 2: up with this, oh, decriminalized the resisting arrest, and Alvin
- 20:09Speaker 2: Bragg who decided to decriminalize resisting arrest. And if you
- 20:14Speaker 2: do that, exactly what you get a guy like this
- 20:16Speaker 2: resisting arrest.
- 20:18Speaker 7: Absolutely And then they put Alvin Bragg back in, which
- 20:21Speaker 7: just it was phenomenal.
- 20:23Speaker 4: Me.
- 20:23Speaker 7: How could they put this guy back in from the
- 20:26Speaker 7: bodega when he wanted to charge this guy from murder
- 20:29Speaker 7: to penny on the subway who saved those people's lives.
- 20:32Speaker 7: I mean, the loost is endless more.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Well, great call, Stuart, thanks for calling. The only answer
- 20:37Speaker 2: to this. Vote for Bruce Blakeman for governor. You need
- 20:40Speaker 2: a common sense governor. You know, the governor can fire
- 20:44Speaker 2: Alvin Bragg. The governor can get rid of district attorneys.
- 20:47Speaker 2: The district attorneys actually work for the governor. It's a
- 20:50Speaker 2: state shop. That's why there's no term limits on these
- 20:53Speaker 2: district attorneys. So another reason you got to vote for
- 20:56Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman for governor. Let's go to Don in New
- 20:58Speaker 2: York City. Don.
- 20:59Speaker 6: How you doing, Yeah, Mark, Yes, I believe that Showane
- 21:03Speaker 6: mcclaim was very involved with the rat Pack.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Well, yeah, she was kind of the mascot of the
- 21:08Speaker 2: rat Pack, but we were more talking about the hot
- 21:11Speaker 2: women they were lusting after. That wasn't Shirley mcclainch She
- 21:15Speaker 2: was like a sister.
- 21:17Speaker 6: What she was pretty hot?
- 21:20Speaker 2: You better sit down, you need to rest. She was
- 21:23Speaker 2: very nice, but she was more like a like a
- 21:25Speaker 2: kid's sister to them. Let's go to Ben in New Jersey, Ben,
- 21:29Speaker 2: how you doing, Hey, Mark?
- 21:31Speaker 6: Good morning, Mark. About that Ed Sullivan Theater. Back when
- 21:35Speaker 6: I was fourteen, back like around sixty seven, there was
- 21:37Speaker 6: recording studios actually upstairs from that side entrance where you
- 21:43Speaker 6: go in to hide in the theater, and that was
- 21:45Speaker 6: known as Tin Pan Alley. A lot of single room
- 21:48Speaker 6: little studios where you paid a guy a few bucks.
- 21:50Speaker 6: He sat at a piano and banged out a tea.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Well, that was one. That was one place. Tinpan Alley
- 21:55Speaker 2: was a series of buildings, including the Brill Building. It
- 21:58Speaker 2: was a lot of places. It's where it's where the
- 22:00Speaker 2: songwriters all worked.
- 22:03Speaker 6: I went to a session with BT Puppy Records, who
- 22:07Speaker 6: was the producers for See You in September by the Happenings. Yeah,
- 22:10Speaker 6: just so happened that Bob Rivera, the lead singer, was
- 22:13Speaker 6: a neighbor of a friend of mine.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Oh my god, wait give me a minute. This is fascinating.
- 22:19Speaker 6: Who are you talking to on the session? So I
- 22:22Speaker 6: sat it on the session and I ended up playing
- 22:24Speaker 6: tambourine on one of the tracks, and that would See
- 22:28Speaker 6: You in September.
- 22:28Speaker 2: My god, you should be This should be a Netflix documentary.
- 22:32Speaker 2: This is the most.
- 22:32Speaker 6: Incredible life I missed.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Yeah, the names that you. Wow, you got to write
- 22:38Speaker 2: a book about this. You met Bob Ravera of some
- 22:41Speaker 2: group we don't know and played tambourine on a record
- 22:44Speaker 2: we didn't hear. But otherwise it sounds great. Good call,
- 22:48Speaker 2: thanks for calling. Uh uh oh, that's Miranda Divine. What
- 22:53Speaker 2: is she calling you about the cancel? Well, hopefully when
- 22:56Speaker 2: we come back We'll talk to her next, Miranda Divine.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Brilliant columnists coming up next on seven to ten wor.
- 23:05Speaker 5: Mister New York Ps mar Simone on wor Well.
- 23:09Speaker 2: One of the greatest columnists on Earth, Miranda Divine her
- 23:13Speaker 2: columns in The New York Post. In fact, Oliver columns
- 23:16Speaker 2: are up on the New York Post website. She also
- 23:19Speaker 2: hosts an excellent podcast called pod Force one, Interviewing the
- 23:24Speaker 2: biggest people in America. Pod Force one. Listen to the podcast,
- 23:27Speaker 2: get her columns at the New York Post and it's
- 23:30Speaker 2: great to have her with us. Miranda Divine, how you doing.
- 23:34Speaker 1: I'm well, Thank you, Mark, thanks for having me on.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Hey, I hear over at MSNBC they've brought in now
- 23:39Speaker 2: grief counselors because of Iran reopening the straight Oh hor
- 23:43Speaker 2: Moose and it looks like the worst pretty much over.
- 23:45Speaker 5: What do you think, Well, I never believe what Iran says,
- 23:50Speaker 5: but yes, they certainly are rooting for America to lose.
- 23:55Speaker 5: And I think that goes for the New York Times
- 23:58Speaker 5: and everyone else. And on the friend of mine from
- 24:03Speaker 5: Australia sent me an article in the Citney Morning Herald.
- 24:06Speaker 5: There they are even more demented over there?
- 24:09Speaker 1: Really they now, yeah.
- 24:11Speaker 5: They now have interviewed this story, interviews all these American
- 24:16Speaker 5: psychiatrists who have decided that Trump is either got dementia
- 24:23Speaker 5: or he's insane and the whole world is being dictated
- 24:28Speaker 5: to by a madman.
- 24:30Speaker 1: It's just so.
- 24:33Speaker 5: And then every time you see Donald Trump come out
- 24:36Speaker 5: and give these lengthy door stops or give a long
- 24:38Speaker 5: interview or big press conference, is totally lucid and in control.
- 24:44Speaker 1: He knows exactly what he's doing. And honestly, it's been
- 24:49Speaker 1: a it's been a wild ride, this around thing.
- 24:51Speaker 5: But hopefully, I mean it's not over, but hopefully it's
- 24:55Speaker 5: going to come to a good end for us.
- 24:58Speaker 2: But what is the prime here is that they can't
- 25:00Speaker 2: put their finger on why they hate them, so they
- 25:02Speaker 2: come up with these crazy He's insane, he's this, He's that,
- 25:05Speaker 2: he's a murderer, he's a liar, he's a bank rubber.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Is it that they can't figure out what it is
- 25:10Speaker 2: exactly that they hate?
- 25:12Speaker 5: No, No, they do know what they hate, which is
- 25:16Speaker 5: that he is. He doesn't go along to get along
- 25:19Speaker 5: like all the Republicans before him. He just says with
- 25:23Speaker 5: common sense that is ridiculous. We're not having any more
- 25:28Speaker 5: gender surgeries paid for by the taxpayer for children.
- 25:33Speaker 1: And in fact, I'm going to stamp it out all
- 25:34Speaker 1: together because that's child abuse.
- 25:37Speaker 5: Or he will say, you know, this Green New Deal
- 25:41Speaker 5: garbage is just nonsense.
- 25:43Speaker 1: We're gonna drill, baby, drill. And you know who cares
- 25:46Speaker 1: about carbon dioxide. It's we breathe it in.
- 25:50Speaker 5: You know, he just he kills all their sacred cows
- 25:53Speaker 5: at once, and they're reeling there's no politeness about it.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Well, you know, Reagan or Bush, they would do that
- 26:02Speaker 2: in a gentle, very formal presidential way express some negative.
- 26:07Speaker 2: He just comes right out and says it. Is it
- 26:10Speaker 2: that too, that he just speaks plain language like a
- 26:12Speaker 2: normal person, no formality about him at all.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that is. And you know, I guess
- 26:19Speaker 1: he could be more subtle about it.
- 26:21Speaker 5: But the problem with the problem with you know, being subtle,
- 26:26Speaker 5: is that that is used as a weakness by the
- 26:29Speaker 5: left who utterly ruthless. You just have to look at
- 26:32Speaker 5: what the way they dispatched Eric Swolwell, so clinically and swiftly.
- 26:38Speaker 5: They are utterly ruthless, and so they will destroy you.
- 26:43Speaker 5: We saw what happened with January sixth, what happened with
- 26:47Speaker 5: all of President Trump's allies and President Trump. They will
- 26:51Speaker 5: stop at nothing to maintain power, and so if you
- 26:55Speaker 5: show them politeness, they see that as weakness. Donald Trump
- 26:59Speaker 5: just said, no, We've had enough of being polite. And
- 27:03Speaker 5: that's why the American people voted for him twice, because
- 27:07Speaker 5: I think conservatives in this country, which is the majority,
- 27:10Speaker 5: are just sick of being taken for a ride.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Speaking of Eric Swawa, we're talking to Miranda the Divine,
- 27:16Speaker 2: the great Calmnist. This whole thing seems to have been
- 27:19Speaker 2: perfectly packaged up and organized and paid for. And who
- 27:26Speaker 2: do we think was behind all that.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Well, it's the Democrat machine.
- 27:32Speaker 5: And you know, one of the greatest operators of that
- 27:36Speaker 5: machine has been Nancy Pelosi. And he was her mentor.
- 27:40Speaker 5: She was one of Nancy's boys, and he spotted him
- 27:46Speaker 5: early on, and you know, when he came into Congress
- 27:50Speaker 5: thirteen years ago, he was her protege and he did
- 27:54Speaker 5: absolutely everything that she wanted him to do, which was
- 27:57Speaker 5: basically to be an attack dog against Donald Trump, against
- 28:03Speaker 5: Brett Kavanaugh, against any Republican so that she could pretend
- 28:07Speaker 5: she had clean hands. He did all the wet work,
- 28:10Speaker 5: and she also put him on these important committees like
- 28:14Speaker 5: the Intelligence Committee, where he had access to the nation secrets.
- 28:19Speaker 5: And you know, this is a guy whose sexual proclivities
- 28:24Speaker 5: were well known for many years, and so it was
- 28:28Speaker 5: very reckless of the one time Speaker and certainly leader
- 28:33Speaker 5: of the Democrats in the House to put this very
- 28:37Speaker 5: unsuitable character on the Intelligence Committee.
- 28:40Speaker 1: But she did it.
- 28:41Speaker 5: And even when he got caught having an affair with
- 28:45Speaker 5: the Chinese spy Fang Fang, she.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Defended him and kept him on the committee. And when Kevin.
- 28:52Speaker 5: McCarthy, to his great credit, threw Swolwell off the committee
- 28:57Speaker 5: many years later, the Democrats just how and shrieked, and
- 29:01Speaker 5: how right he was because Swolwell was black mailable. He
- 29:07Speaker 5: was doing things that he did not want his wife
- 29:11Speaker 5: or the world to know. And if half of the
- 29:15Speaker 5: allegations are true, and honestly, the women seem very credible,
- 29:20Speaker 5: and their allegations go beyond just mere bad behavior or
- 29:25Speaker 5: as his former roommate Ribbon Galago called it, flirty flirtiness.
- 29:32Speaker 5: It goes to alleged rape, choking, you know, just sexually
- 29:39Speaker 5: harassing women, abusing them.
- 29:43Speaker 1: It just vile behavior. Five women have come forward.
- 29:48Speaker 5: The lawyer for one, who's Gloria Aldred's daughter. She has
- 29:53Speaker 5: said that there are another three that have come forward
- 29:56Speaker 5: to them in the wings waiting.
- 29:58Speaker 1: So he had to resign from Congress.
- 30:02Speaker 5: Obviously, he had to give up his, you know, goodernatorial ambitions.
- 30:07Speaker 5: But he's likely facing court time, if not jail time.
- 30:13Speaker 2: If you were doing all this stuff, if you had
- 30:15Speaker 2: the stuff that you were hiding, why would you run
- 30:17Speaker 2: for governor and run against a billionaire like Tom Steyer
- 30:20Speaker 2: who might uncover all.
- 30:21Speaker 5: This h Exactly? Why would you do that? And why
- 30:25Speaker 5: would you even run for president? You would do that
- 30:28Speaker 5: because you are a made man of Nancy Pelosi and
- 30:32Speaker 5: the Democrat machine, and you are untouchable.
- 30:36Speaker 1: No one can hurt you.
- 30:37Speaker 2: H Hey, Miranda Devine, let me ask you this. It appears,
- 30:41Speaker 2: according to reports, Hunter Biden has left the country. One
- 30:46Speaker 2: reason is to avoid his massive legal bills. What's the
- 30:49Speaker 2: deal with Hunter?
- 30:50Speaker 5: Now, well, I'm not sure if it's actually true that
- 30:54Speaker 5: he's left the country. That's what his lawyer told the
- 30:57Speaker 5: court as part of a reason why he can't pay
- 31:03Speaker 5: seventeen million dollars Hilariously to Abby Loll, his vile lawyer,
- 31:08Speaker 5: So I mean.
- 31:09Speaker 1: It couldn't happen to a nicer guy. But it's so
- 31:12Speaker 1: funny with Hunter.
- 31:13Speaker 5: He stiffed so many awful people that you know, sometimes
- 31:18Speaker 5: I think to myself, whose side am I on? So anyway,
- 31:21Speaker 5: he's stiff Dabby Loll and his wife. We think it's
- 31:25Speaker 5: South Africa because his wife current wife is a South
- 31:30Speaker 5: African and they did spend quite a lot of time there.
- 31:33Speaker 1: And we know that because.
- 31:36Speaker 5: He had this vast secret Service retinue, which while he
- 31:41Speaker 5: was in the middle of his visit, Donald Trump yanked
- 31:44Speaker 5: as he should have, so it was a grace and
- 31:46Speaker 5: favor secret service extension of what he was really due
- 31:51Speaker 5: as the vice president, as the president's son.
- 31:54Speaker 1: And of course Joe Biden.
- 31:55Speaker 5: It was one of those things he or the auto
- 31:57Speaker 5: pen signed before he left office. Along with the it
- 32:00Speaker 5: was this very expensive secret service detail for his wayward son,
- 32:05Speaker 5: which you know, imagine how much it costs sending I
- 32:08Speaker 5: think it was six or eight Secret Service agents to
- 32:11Speaker 5: South Africa, plus a vehicle, an Almond a vehicle to
- 32:14Speaker 5: take care of this crackhead. So I don't know if
- 32:19Speaker 5: he's still there because honestly, There have been quite a
- 32:22Speaker 5: few photos and sightings of him, you know, with his
- 32:27Speaker 5: family having holidays. I mean, he doesn't work, so all
- 32:31Speaker 5: he does is have holidays, you know, at the beach.
- 32:35Speaker 5: He seems to apart from going on podcasts and threatening
- 32:40Speaker 5: people and challenging the Trump sons to a cage match, bizarrely,
- 32:47Speaker 5: he doesn't, you know, he seems to be in the
- 32:50Speaker 5: country a lot. So I would think the authorities or
- 32:53Speaker 5: Abby Loll, if they really want their money back, ought
- 32:56Speaker 5: to be finding out how he's paying for all these airs,
- 33:00Speaker 5: because you can bet I know his Champagne chase.
- 33:03Speaker 1: He does not fly economy.
- 33:05Speaker 5: Who is paying for these expensive trips backwards and forwards
- 33:08Speaker 5: from South Africa?
- 33:11Speaker 2: Hey, he's not stupid. And when he was making millions
- 33:14Speaker 2: with the fake paintings and all his schemes, and did
- 33:17Speaker 2: they ever say to himself, when my father leaves office,
- 33:19Speaker 2: this is all going to end and dry up, and
- 33:21Speaker 2: I'd better start saving some money or investing it or
- 33:24Speaker 2: not sane enough to do that.
- 33:27Speaker 5: I don't think forward planning is really an attribute of crackheads.
- 33:33Speaker 5: So no, but I look, I don't rule out I mean,
- 33:37Speaker 5: he made at least tens of millions of dollars from
- 33:42Speaker 5: China and Ukraine and Russia, et cetera. So I would not.
- 33:46Speaker 5: I mean, he's spent it pretty fast. But you know,
- 33:51Speaker 5: maybe he has a nest egg somewhere, but maybe he
- 33:54Speaker 5: just spent it all. And who knows. I think Joe
- 33:57Speaker 5: Biden has a little nestig.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I hope so.
- 34:02Speaker 5: But Jill, Jill's Jill wants that all for herself, for
- 34:06Speaker 5: her diamonds.
- 34:06Speaker 1: So I don't think.
- 34:09Speaker 5: I don't think Hunter is going to be able to
- 34:11Speaker 5: get a hold of any of Joe's money.
- 34:13Speaker 2: That's true. Well, Miranda divine, great stuff. Hey, everybody should
- 34:17Speaker 2: You can read all her columns, they're all up on
- 34:19Speaker 2: the New York Post website, but everybody should listen to
- 34:21Speaker 2: her excellent podcast, pod Force one. Who's on the next edition.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Who's on the next edition?
- 34:29Speaker 5: It's doctor Ohs, doctor met Oz, who is absolutely fantastic.
- 34:34Speaker 1: And when he talks about the fraud.
- 34:37Speaker 5: I touched on it in my column about Eric Sworlwell
- 34:40Speaker 5: and the reason for the illegal migration and the fraud
- 34:43Speaker 5: is basically, the unions come in, they unionize these fraudsters,
- 34:48Speaker 5: or the fraudsters workers pretend workers and they get lots
- 34:54Speaker 5: of dues, lots of money, which they then funnel back
- 34:56Speaker 5: into the Democrat Party, which gives you another quid pro
- 35:00Speaker 5: quote from Electro Power.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Well, don't miss don't miss that. Get Miranda Devine's podcast

- 35:43Speaker 2: Well, the big breaking news this morning. It happened just
- 35:47Speaker 2: as we came on the air. The Straight of Horne
- 35:49Speaker 2: Moose is open. Iran has caved in, given in and
- 35:52Speaker 2: open up the Strait of Horne Moose. Grief counselors have
- 35:57Speaker 2: been called in at CNN and MSNBC. They're very upset
- 36:01Speaker 2: about this big victory for the United States straight sohorn
- 36:03Speaker 2: Moose is open and as a result, stock market has
- 36:07Speaker 2: been soaring in the last two hours. It's up a
- 36:09Speaker 2: thousand points s and P five hundred is at an
- 36:13Speaker 2: all time high. Hang on, let me check oil prices.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Oil is down to eighty three dollars a barrel. Eighty
