New Mexico Alleges Indyke and Kahn Helped Sustain Epstein Operation (10/22/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

• 0:00
Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. Over the past 24 hours, we learned that
• 0:07
Speaker 1: the state of New Mexico has filed a suit, a
• 0:10
Speaker 1: civil suit, against Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn. And the
• 0:14
Speaker 1: idea behind this civil suit is to assure that Indyke
• 0:18
Speaker 1: and Kahn don't get any money from Epstein's estate. And listen,
• 0:22
Speaker 1: I know it's not a criminal investigation as of yet,
• 0:26
Speaker 1: but these civil cases have a way of morphing into
• 0:28
Speaker 1: that later on down the road. And we've seen that
• 0:30
Speaker 1: multiple times already when it comes to the Epstein story,
• 0:34
Speaker 1: especially with Ghislaine Maxwell. She got sued by Virginia. She
• 0:39
Speaker 1: lost that lawsuit. And then what she said during those
• 0:42
Speaker 1: depositions and what other people said was used to build
• 0:46
Speaker 1: the foundation of the case against Ghislaine Maxwell. And I
• 0:50
Speaker 1: suspect the same thing is going to happen here. And
• 0:52
Speaker 1: I doubt it's only going to be the state of
• 0:54
Speaker 1: New Mexico that ends up going after Conan Indyke. So
• 0:58
Speaker 1: what we're going to do today... is we're going to
• 1:00
Speaker 1: dive into an article from The Independent, and we're going
• 1:03
Speaker 1: to get an idea of what's going on, and then
• 1:05
Speaker 1: after that, we're going to dive into the lawsuit itself,
• 1:08
Speaker 1: which is very explosive. Some of the allegations being made
• 1:12
Speaker 1: by the state of New Mexico are the kind of
• 1:14
Speaker 1: allegations where you usually find yourself facing criminal charges on
• 1:18
Speaker 1: the back end. So, obviously we'll have to see what
• 1:22
Speaker 1: the state of New Mexico ends up doing, but this
• 1:25
Speaker 1: is not good news for Indyke and Khan. especially considering
• 1:28
Speaker 1: we've heard that they're under federal investigation as well. So,
• 1:32
Speaker 1: with that said, why don't we just dive right into
• 1:35
Speaker 1: this article and see what's up. Epstein lawyer and accountant
• 1:41
Speaker 1: knowingly participated in his sex trafficking, New Mexico AG claims,
• 1:45
Speaker 1: in a new suit. This article was authored by Alex Woodward.
• 1:50
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's attorney and accountant are accused of having knowingly
• 1:54
Speaker 1: participated in the dead sex offender's alleged trafficking enterprise, the
• 1:58
Speaker 1: New Mexico Attorney General claims, in a federal lawsuit. I
• 2:01
Speaker 1: love when they call it an alleged enterprise, as if
• 2:04
Speaker 1: there's any doubt what Epstein was up to. And you
• 2:07
Speaker 1: know what the biggest tell is? The fact that the
• 2:09
Speaker 1: banks were so willing to pay out roughly a billion dollars.
• 2:14
Speaker 1: You show me a bank that's trying to come out
• 2:16
Speaker 1: of the pocket when they don't have to. Epstein's longtime
• 2:20
Speaker 1: personal attorney, Darren Indyke, and accountant Richard Kahn knowingly participated
• 2:24
Speaker 1: in Epstein's abuse and used their positions of power and
• 2:27
Speaker 1: access to Epstein's accounts and companies to finance and conceal it,
• 2:31
Speaker 1: according to the office's state attorney general, Raul Torres. Well,
• 2:35
Speaker 1: finally somebody said it. I mean, let's be real. There's
• 2:39
Speaker 1: no doubt that that's what they were doing, and there's
• 2:41
Speaker 1: no doubt that Indyke and Kahn were gigantic parts of
• 2:44
Speaker 1: Epstein's whole operation. And they were never even investigated. You
• 2:50
Speaker 1: would think that somebody like Epstein, who has all these
• 2:53
Speaker 1: people around him, all these accountants, these attorneys, etc. And
• 2:57
Speaker 1: he gets nailed and they're looking at him for trafficking
• 3:00
Speaker 1: and money laundering and a whole bunch of other things.
• 3:02
Speaker 1: And they know damn well that Epstein wasn't doing this
• 3:04
Speaker 1: shit on his own. They know damn well that it
• 3:06
Speaker 1: takes other people all working in coordination to keep a
• 3:10
Speaker 1: machine like this running. And they chose to only investigate
• 3:14
Speaker 1: Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. And even more You have the
• 3:18
Speaker 1: United States Justice Department out here telling you that there's
• 3:21
Speaker 1: nothing left to investigate. Well, the state of New Mexico disagrees.
• 3:28
Speaker 1: The men helped facilitate, finance, and conceal Epstein's alleged crimes,
• 3:32
Speaker 1: including alleged abuse of young women and girls, at the
• 3:35
Speaker 1: wealthy and well-connected sex offender Zorro Ranch in Santa Fe County. Well,
• 3:41
Speaker 1: that's a guarantee. That is an absolute guarantee. And of course,
• 3:45
Speaker 1: that's why there was never any meaningful investigation in the
• 3:48
Speaker 1: state of New Mexico or at Zorro Ranch. Because they
• 3:51
Speaker 1: knew if they investigated, what they would find. And when
• 3:54
Speaker 1: I tell you they're trying to manage the blast radius,
• 3:57
Speaker 1: this is what I'm talking about. They had all this
• 3:59
Speaker 1: information during the original investigation. And instead of actually pursuing it,
• 4:04
Speaker 1: the SDNY walled it off. And that's why the feds
• 4:08
Speaker 1: had the state of New Mexico cede their investigation back
• 4:11
Speaker 1: to the SDNY. That way it could all be maintained
• 4:15
Speaker 1: and managed from a central location. Whereas if you have
• 4:18
Speaker 1: a bunch of different states going after these people at
• 4:21
Speaker 1: the same time, it's going to make things much more
• 4:23
Speaker 1: difficult to keep under wraps, right? And that was always
• 4:27
Speaker 1: the goal. So that the people that were around Epstein
• 4:30
Speaker 1: that supported them and gave them all of that help
• 4:32
Speaker 1: for all those years weren't outed. And I think that
• 4:36
Speaker 1: this lawsuit, this pursuit of these people in New Mexico
• 4:38
Speaker 1: at the state level is going to prove fruitful. And
• 4:42
Speaker 1: that's because the federal government can't really put their fingers
• 4:45
Speaker 1: in the pie. The lawsuit, which was announced at a
• 4:49
Speaker 1: Wednesday press conference, also names the Epstein estate. Both men
• 4:53
Speaker 1: are beneficiaries of the trust and co-executors of the estate.
• 4:57
Speaker 1: The office is bringing the suit under Federal Trafficking Victims
• 5:01
Speaker 1: Protection Act and the New Mexico Racketeering Act. So, serious charges, right?
• 5:07
Speaker 1: Basically a SECO case. A civil RICO case. and it's
• 5:11
Speaker 1: the same thing we saw down in the Virgin Islands.
• 5:14
Speaker 1: Denise George utilized the same exact laws and went after
• 5:17
Speaker 1: them the same way. Of course, they ended up settling,
• 5:21
Speaker 1: and nothing came of it. But I don't know if
• 5:23
Speaker 1: the state of New Mexico is going to be so
• 5:25
Speaker 1: keen on settling anything. I think that they've talked a
• 5:29
Speaker 1: big game, and now they're going to have to back
• 5:31
Speaker 1: that up. Jeffrey Epstein did not operate alone, and his
• 5:36
Speaker 1: death does not end the pursuit of accountability for the
• 5:38
Speaker 1: people who helped make his crimes possible. Torres said in
• 5:41
Speaker 1: a statement announcing the lawsuit. And I think that's the
• 5:45
Speaker 1: right way to go, too. There's a lot of people
• 5:47
Speaker 1: that were involved that were never held accountable. They need
• 5:52
Speaker 1: to be investigated. Everybody needs to be investigated. There should
• 5:56
Speaker 1: be no rock left unturned. And if you were somebody
• 6:00
Speaker 1: that was intimately involved with Epstein, financially or otherwise, you
• 6:04
Speaker 1: should be on the hook. Now, does that mean everybody's guilty?
• 6:07
Speaker 1: Of course not. I'm not going to sit here and
• 6:10
Speaker 1: tell you that. What I will tell you, though, is
• 6:12
Speaker 1: there's a lot of people who have to answer a
• 6:15
Speaker 1: lot of questions. And I think a lawsuit like this
• 6:19
Speaker 1: is a good first step. The allegations in this lawsuit
• 6:22
Speaker 1: describe a network of people and financial arrangements that help
• 6:26
Speaker 1: sustain and conceal the abuse of vulnerable girls and young women,
• 6:29
Speaker 1: including here in New Mexico, he added. Those who allegedly
• 6:33
Speaker 1: enabled this exploitation should not be allowed to profit from
• 6:37
Speaker 1: it while survivors continue to live with its consequences. Well, yeah,
• 6:41
Speaker 1: all these properties should have been seized. That's really what
• 6:45
Speaker 1: should have happened. They should have been auctioned off and
• 6:48
Speaker 1: all the money should have went to the survivors. That's
• 6:51
Speaker 1: what should have happened. The government should have seized everything
• 6:54
Speaker 1: and it should have been auctioned, just like in any
• 6:56
Speaker 1: other RICO case. But no, when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein,
• 7:00
Speaker 1: let's compartmentalize it all. Let's break it down into little pieces.
• 7:04
Speaker 1: That way we can defend it and we can make
• 7:06
Speaker 1: sure our friends aren't being damaged by it. And the
• 7:08
Speaker 1: whole last thing is sickening. In a statement to the Independent,
• 7:12
Speaker 1: lawyers for Indyk and Kahn called the lawsuit baseless and
• 7:16
Speaker 1: said the men emphatically reject allegations that they were complicit
• 7:20
Speaker 1: in or in any way knowingly facilitated Epstein's abuse or trafficking,
• 7:25
Speaker 1: conduct that by all accounts occurred behind closed doors and
• 7:28
Speaker 1: in secluded locations when neither men was present. Well, I'll
• 7:33
Speaker 1: tell you what. You know the guy that handles the
• 7:35
Speaker 1: money for the Sinaloa cartel? He wasn't present when the
• 7:39
Speaker 1: drugs were sold. He still got caught up in the conspiracy,
• 7:43
Speaker 1: still got his ass sent to prison, or shot, whatever
• 7:46
Speaker 1: you want to call it. It doesn't matter if you're
• 7:49
Speaker 1: handling the money, or if you're actually doing the abuse.
• 7:52
Speaker 1: You're part of the conspiracy, and that makes you culpable
• 7:55
Speaker 1: for all of it. So Darren Indyk and Richard Kahn,
• 7:59
Speaker 1: they can say all they want that they never put
• 8:01
Speaker 1: their hands on women, and that's true. We've never heard that.
• 8:04
Speaker 1: But their accountability is in a different realm. Their accountability
• 8:07
Speaker 1: has to do with facilitating and enabling Jeffrey Epstein's abuse
• 8:12
Speaker 1: throughout the years. Not a single woman has ever accused Mr.
• 8:19
Speaker 1: Indyk or Mr. Khan of committing sexual abuse or witnessing
• 8:23
Speaker 1: sexual abuse, nor claimed, at any time, that she or
• 8:26
Speaker 1: anyone else reported to them any allegation of Mr. Epstein's abuse.
• 8:30
Speaker 1: The statement added, The New Mexico Attorney General's complaint does
• 8:33
Speaker 1: not allege anything to the contrary. The men reject the
• 8:37
Speaker 1: allegations as categorically false and are confident that they will
• 8:41
Speaker 1: prevail on the claims asserted against them. The statement says, okay, cool.
• 8:45
Speaker 1: So that means they won't settle. They're not going to
• 8:47
Speaker 1: look for a settlement, right? They just want to clear
• 8:49
Speaker 1: their names. So let's go to discovery. Let's have some
• 8:52
Speaker 1: depositions and let's see what's what. You know, they always
• 8:56
Speaker 1: talk about how they're going to defend their name. They're
• 8:58
Speaker 1: going to do this. They're going to do that. And
• 9:00
Speaker 1: then the chips are down and they look for a deal.
• 9:05
Speaker 1: And my guess is, Kahn and Indyk are going to
• 9:07
Speaker 1: be willing and dealing. According to the complaint filed in
• 9:10
Speaker 1: the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico,
• 9:13
Speaker 1: Indyk and Kahn authorized transactions connected to the trafficking operation,
• 9:17
Speaker 1: including the 2011 transfer of Zorro Ranch's title to a
• 9:21
Speaker 1: company that Epstein controlled. Between 2011 and 2019, Indyk received
• 9:27
Speaker 1: more than $ 16 million from Epstein and related entities, and
• 9:32
Speaker 1: Kahn received more then $ 10 million according to the complaint.
• 9:36
Speaker 1: They stand to receive millions of dollars from the estate.
• 9:40
Speaker 1: And that just can't occur, right? They can't get any
• 9:43
Speaker 1: of that money. Whatever the estate has left should be
• 9:46
Speaker 1: divvied up to the survivors. Nobody that was associated with
• 9:50
Speaker 1: Epstein should benefit on the back end of this. Epstein's
• 9:56
Speaker 1: operation depended on the appearance of legitimacy and access to
• 9:59
Speaker 1: money characterized structured to avoid exposing his crimes, according to
• 10:03
Speaker 1: a joint statement from six survivors of his abuse. This
• 10:07
Speaker 1: lawsuit is aimed at the two men most responsible for
• 10:10
Speaker 1: that appearance and structure, they added. Well, I agree with that.
• 10:14
Speaker 1: I think Indyk and Khan are culpable. And I think
• 10:17
Speaker 1: it's a long time coming that they answer some real questions.
• 10:20
Speaker 1: And I don't mean that bullshit we saw at Congress. Like,
• 10:24
Speaker 1: talk about a shit show. Talk about a joke. Because
• 10:28
Speaker 1: that's what it was. Now this, this here, well it
• 10:31
Speaker 1: has some teeth. And when you start rummaging around in
• 10:36
Speaker 1: a civil lawsuit, it usually ends up bad. Epstein handsomely
• 10:41
Speaker 1: rewarded their value and loyalty. and they now occupy a
• 10:44
Speaker 1: position of profound and deeply troubling conflict, helping determine what
• 10:48
Speaker 1: victims receive, while standing to gain what is left over
• 10:52
Speaker 1: after the victims are paid for their damages, survivors added. Again,
• 10:56
Speaker 1: how is that correct or okay with anybody? Because from
• 11:00
Speaker 1: where I'm sitting, it is not. Those dudes shouldn't be
• 11:03
Speaker 1: the arbiters of who gets what and when. They should
• 11:07
Speaker 1: be sitting in a jail cell, as far as I'm concerned.
• 11:10
Speaker 1: You mean to tell me there was no wire fraud? Okay, sure.
• 11:15
Speaker 1: Torres' office separately sued Donald Trump's Department of Justice earlier
• 11:18
Speaker 1: this year for complete and unredacted access to files stemming
• 11:22
Speaker 1: from investigations into Epstein for the state's own criminal probe
• 11:26
Speaker 1: into alleged crimes at Zorro Ranch. The Attorney General has
• 11:30
Speaker 1: accused the Trump administration of obstructing access to evidence in
• 11:34
Speaker 1: connection with the state's investigation into the 26,700 square foot
• 11:39
Speaker 1: hilltop mansion in Santa Fe County that was once owned
• 11:42
Speaker 1: by Epstein. The property is referenced thousands of times in
• 11:46
Speaker 1: the Epstein files, and Torres' office says the Justice Department
• 11:50
Speaker 1: has ignored at least 10 requests for access to the documents.
• 11:54
Speaker 1: And that's the lawsuit that we recently went through. And
• 11:57
Speaker 1: the allegations are damning. And if the state of New
• 12:00
Speaker 1: Mexico can get it over the finish line, it's going
• 12:03
Speaker 1: to be bad news for the DOJ. The question is,
• 12:06
Speaker 1: will they be able to get it over, right? Indyk
• 12:10
Speaker 1: and Kahn have previously denied that having any knowledge of
• 12:13
Speaker 1: Epstein's crimes and have not been criminally accused of wrongdoing. Yet,
• 12:17
Speaker 1: they're under investigation, allegedly. In March, they testified to members
• 12:22
Speaker 1: of Congress that federal investigators never interviewed them about their
• 12:26
Speaker 1: late client, raising questions about the depth and scope of
• 12:29
Speaker 1: the government's probes into the disgraced financier. Oh, finally catching on, huh?
• 12:35
Speaker 1: The Legacy Media, about seven years too late. The craziest
• 12:39
Speaker 1: part is, when we were trying to tell people this,
• 12:42
Speaker 1: They were calling everybody crazy. Ah, come on, there's no way. Ah,
• 12:46
Speaker 1: it's overblown. There's no way that this guy had that
• 12:48
Speaker 1: much access. He was friends with a few people, not
• 12:51
Speaker 1: a big deal. You're blowing it out of proportion. When
• 12:53
Speaker 1: the truth is, they were underplaying it the whole entire time.
• 12:57
Speaker 1: And only when the story became politically expedient did people
• 13:01
Speaker 1: start caring. During his testimony to the House Oversight Committee,
• 13:07
Speaker 1: Indyk said he had no knowledge whatsoever of Epstein's crimes.
• 13:11
Speaker 1: and categorically denied facilitating the trafficking of women and girls.
• 13:15
Speaker 1: Asked whether he considered leaving Epstein after learning that he
• 13:18
Speaker 1: pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting a minor, Kahn said
• 13:22
Speaker 1: he ultimately decided to continue working for him to support
• 13:25
Speaker 1: his family, and that he believed Epstein when he told Kahn,
• 13:29
Speaker 1: this would never happen again. Like you couldn't get another gig, dude?
• 13:33
Speaker 1: Like that's the only job on earth, huh? Let me
• 13:36
Speaker 1: go work for my diddling boss. I don't care that
• 13:38
Speaker 1: he's bringing in young women and having relations with them
• 13:41
Speaker 1: As long as I get paid. As executors of Epstein's
• 13:45
Speaker 1: estate in Daikin Khan have helped negotiate settlements and lawsuits
• 13:48
Speaker 1: brought by survivors of Epstein's abuse. His estate was valued
• 13:53
Speaker 1: as much as $ 650 million at the time of his
• 13:56
Speaker 1: death in July of 2019. And that's just finances we
• 13:59
Speaker 1: know about. Because as you well know, this dude had
• 14:03
Speaker 1: money overseas. Where that money is, I have no idea.
• 14:07
Speaker 1: Who has access to it? Another good question. The estate
• 14:12
Speaker 1: established a compensation fund that has paid out more than
• 14:15
Speaker 1: $ 120 million to survivors, and his remaining assets were recently
• 14:19
Speaker 1: valued at roughly $ 127 million, according to an October 2025
• 14:24
Speaker 1: court filing. Both men are reportedly at the center of
• 14:29
Speaker 1: a Justice Department probe, though the scope of an alleged
• 14:32
Speaker 1: investigation and whether any charges are being considered is unclear.
• 14:36
Speaker 1: Investigators appear to be examining their handling of the financial
• 14:40
Speaker 1: and legal matters involving young women that may have obscured
• 14:43
Speaker 1: Epstein's crimes, according to people familiar with the interviews who
• 14:47
Speaker 1: spoke to the Wall Street Journal earlier this year. So basically,
• 14:51
Speaker 1: a full-on facilitation investigation. Did they facilitate Epstein's crimes? What
• 14:56
Speaker 1: did they do? How deep were they involved with the transactions?
• 15:01
Speaker 1: And where does that paper trail lead? Those are some
• 15:03
Speaker 1: of the basic questions. And if what I think is true,
• 15:08
Speaker 1: all roads lead to indict and con. There have been
• 15:11
Speaker 1: no other arrests in the U.S. in connection with Epstein
• 15:14
Speaker 1: and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, who's serving a 20-year prison
• 15:17
Speaker 1: sentence after she was found guilty of recruiting and grooming
• 15:21
Speaker 1: young women and girls. The protracted release of the so-called
• 15:25
Speaker 1: Epstein files has accelerated demands for additional investigations and prosecutions,
• 15:30
Speaker 1: and members of Congress have issued subpoenas for interviews with
• 15:34
Speaker 1: high-profile figures, former employees, and administration officials connected to Epstein.
• 15:40
Speaker 1: The House Oversight Committee has also conducted a series of
• 15:43
Speaker 1: interviews with survivors whose testimony has led to criminal referrals
• 15:47
Speaker 1: to at least two people connected to Epstein. So look,
• 15:51
Speaker 1: this is just the natural next step, right? A civil
• 15:55
Speaker 1: suit against Indykin Khan in New Mexico. And I would
• 15:58
Speaker 1: not be shocked to see Florida and New York follow suit.
• 16:03
Speaker 1: There's a lot to be gained by these states going
• 16:05
Speaker 1: after these people. And if the federal government won't do it,
• 16:09
Speaker 1: then maybe, just maybe, these states have to flex their
• 16:12
Speaker 1: sovereignty and do it for them. And the lawsuit that
• 16:15
Speaker 1: we see in New Mexico is certainly the first step
• 16:18
Speaker 1: in that journey. And speaking of that journey, we're going
• 16:21
Speaker 1: to begin taking a look at the actual lawsuit in
• 16:24
Speaker 1: the next few episodes. So until then, that's going to
• 16:27
Speaker 1: do it for this one. All the information that goes
• 16:29
Speaker 1: with this episode can be found in the description box.
