  Didn't honestly pay attention, just being honest.

  All right, we're going to talk about the fact that I watched a

  little bit of two different games last Saturday.

  We had the big NASCAR race in Saint Louis, so that was most of

  my focus. But went to the track Saturday,

  came back 230 window, Ohio State, Grambling.

  I'm a Buckeyes fan but don't care about that game at all.

  I did predict it was going to be 70 to zip.

  That was the final score. I have no interest in games like

  that. I did check it out.

  End of the first quarter it was 21 zip Ohio State.

  So look, I'm not into games like that.

  So I flipped over to the other game I was interested in even

  more so before and it was a much better game.

  Obviously Mizzou and Kansas, I'm here in Saint Louis, so a lot of

  Mizzou fans. And when I tuned in, so it was

  either end of first quarter beginning a second, I can't
• 1:02
  remember exactly, but it was 21, six Kansas and then Mizzou just
• 1:08
  poured it on second quarter. I think they tied it.

  Whatever it was, they got it real close at halftime, then
• 1:15
  they won close game fourth quarter.

  And look, so I'm watching that game.

  I'm kind of feeling it through social media, everybody on X,
• 1:24
  just an electric factory. When you see all the the fans,
• 1:28
  the student section singing Mr. Brightside and the FKU awesome.

  And all I got to say is they need to play every freaking
• 1:38
  year. I know they have a home in home
• 1:40
  here 2526 and what they take about 5 years off, they do it
• 1:43
  again. That's not good enough.

  All right, I know both sides are going to complain.

  KU says, look, you broke up the rivalry by leaving the Big 12

  going to the SEC Mizzou's like, no, we went to a better
• 1:56
  conference. We wanted to keep the rivalry

  going. Kansas cancelled it.

  I I get it, I get it. It doesn't matter.

  It doesn't matter. That to me is bigger than

  conferences. That's the reason.

  The whole reason you play sports, the whole reason you

  play college athletics is for rivalries like that.

  KU, Mizzou, one of the best rivalries, one of the best

  regional rivalries for sure in college sports.

  To me, that's like Ohio State. Michigan is bigger than the Big

  10, right? Neither of those teams would

  ever leave a conference to not play each other.

  What I'm trying to say is Ohio State and Michigan playing each
• 2:31
  other is more important than their conference.

  And I honestly think that's the same with Mizu and KU.

  What are we doing, folks? What are we doing if we're not

  playing your biggest rival every freaking year?

  Unacceptable. By the way, I remember years ago

  being on the radio the morning after and Mizzou had just

  basically entered the SEC or, or it was being discussed and I

  remember saying like, that's going to kill the rivalry.

  And I remember everybody disagreeing with me.

  And I'm like, dude, once you leave, if you leave and go to

  new conference, especially in football, there's no guarantee

  you're going to play every year, but they should.

  And I put that out there on acts like it should be like Clemson,

  SC. I wasn't trying to compare the

  caliber of rivalry, I was just saying like they're in different
• 3:17
  conferences and they play each and every year.

  Mizzou and KU should be the exact same there.

  This thing goes back to the freaking Civil War man, and

  slavery and Bleeding Kansas. I mean a True Blood feud.

  They need to play in football every single year, full stop.

  OK, the other thing around the Mizzou game, this happened

  before I commented on X about it and I just got just destroyed by

  all of the Mizzou mafia. I feel like every two years

  Mizzou fans come after me. Two years ago it was when I said

  that the bowl game versus Ohio State didn't matter.

  I was 100% right about that. I think everybody, everybody

  realizes that now. Of course you want to win the

  game. Non College Football Playoff

  bowl games don't matter at all at all.

  They just don't You want to win them.

  outs, it's it's not your real team.

  I would hope most people agree with me now, but look, Mizzi won

  the game. It's all good.

  I don't care. Ohio State won the national

  championship the next year. I wish, I wish Mizzi would have

  made the play offs the next year.

  I was rooting for him. The other thing though, was the

  kid, the kid who basically went on his his show, his campus show

  and said that he was picking Kansas and then everybody ripped

  on him. And then I quote tweeted one of

  the players kind of calling him out, which I chose the wrong
• 4:36
  quote tweet. I had nothing look, coach drink

  wits and the players having fun with the kid during the media
• 4:42
  session. I get that.

  I covered sports in the press conferences for years and years
• 4:47
  and years and and they're all tight.

  They talk to each other. It's playful fun.

  It's all good. But the people on the Internet

  who just crushed this kid, It's like you're also this is Mizzou,

  the journalism school. Like you're really that mad

  because a dude picked Kansas to win a game.

  But that's that's the way he actually thought the whole point

  of doing sports content. Do you really want everybody to

  be a Homer? Honestly, do you want everybody

  to be a Homer? We have enough agenda driven

  news and politics with cable news and every regional cable

  network and, and all this. And, and you have you have TV

  channels that are essentially the sanctioning body, right,

  Whether it's MLB Network, NBATV and NFL Network and where I miss

  NHL Network, I mean, the sanctioning body.

  It's it's a message, it's an agenda driven message coming

  straight from the league. NASCAR, which I cover a lot.

  They have channel 90 serious. I mean, it's essentially NASCAR

  programming. You're not going to get a lot of

  pushback on these channels. So I just thought, look, I know

  the kid got the pick wrong and he deserves to get chided for

  that. I totally get that.

  But to me on social media before that, people were ripping on him

  for being disloyal. And it's like, dude, that was

  his opinion. By the way, as a Buckeye fan, I

  bet against the Buckeyes all the time, especially against spread.

  When the line came out against Mizzou a couple years ago, I

  think it started at 7 points and I was like, I'd take Mizzou.

  I'll bet against Ohio State this year versus Michigan.

  I'll I'll probably bet Michigan until Ohio State can show they

  can beat Michigan. I remember saying last year,

  take Michigan with the points. I think it was a 21 point spread

  and frickin Michigan wins the game outright.

  So my whole thing is like, here's the hard thing I'm

  arguing with the underbelly of XX is the worst social media

  platform. It really is.

  It's anonymous trolls in cells, very depressed people.

  Reasonable people, reasonable people don't care.

  I would never care as an Ohio State fan if an Ohio State kid

  journalism school picked against the Buckeyes, I went to Bradley.

  If some kid says, hey, Bradley's going to lose a basketball game

  to frickin Indiana State, I don't think reasonable people

  care about that stuff at all. But it's sports.
