Tragic Crash Claims 82-Year-Old Auburn Man | Huntsville News
An 82-year-old Auburn man, Hugh W. Smith, died from injuries sustained in a crash two weeks ago in Tallapoosa County, where his truck was struck by a 23-year-old driver, Cheaney M. Keel. The collision sent Mr. Smith’s vehicle off-road into a tree; his 79-year-old passenger, Wanda Smith, was also injured. He was transferred to a Montgomery hospital and passed away on July 14.
