- 0:00Speaker 1: You're waking up to Denver's Morning Show.
- 0:02Speaker 2: With Nina and Josh.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Mix 100.
- 0:05Speaker 3: Josh, we were all over the place. I know you
- 0:08Speaker 3: had quite the fall weekend. I did the same. Like,
- 0:12Speaker 3: tell me one quick snapshot, if you can. What did
- 0:16Speaker 3: you do all weekend? Because there was a lot.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Yeah, everything. No, yeah, really quick. Basically just did all
- 0:22Speaker 1: the fall activities. You know how it is when you
- 0:24Speaker 1: have a girlfriend. It's all hands on deck. I just
- 0:27Speaker 1: want to do everything. And it was fun, though. I
- 0:30Speaker 1: am not one to usually do a bunch of fall
- 0:34Speaker 1: fun activities, so it is kind of nice to have
- 0:37Speaker 1: someone else to do those with. The only thing I
- 0:39Speaker 1: have not done yet, which we're going to this week,
- 0:42Speaker 1: is essentially pumpkin carving. I think we hit everything else.
- 0:45Speaker 1: We hit the haunted corn maze. We've hit every coffee
- 0:47Speaker 1: shop in the entire world.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Which, I love that for you. You're trying more coffee.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Yeah, it's... Interesting.
- 0:53Speaker 2: You're like, it's okay. I still don't get it.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Nina, I'm figuring out there are too many flavors for coffee.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:59Speaker 1: To make coffee not taste like coffee.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:01Speaker 1: And I'm like, I actually don't mind the bitter coffee
- 1:05Speaker 1: bean taste of coffee. And so when you just doctor
- 1:08Speaker 1: the absolute heck out of it.
- 1:10Speaker 3: With almonds and vanilla and pumpkin spice.
- 1:13Speaker 2: And all of it.
- 1:14Speaker 1: I have a question. How many different things can you
- 1:17Speaker 1: freaking milk? There's a lot. There's almond milk. There's goat milk.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Cashew milk. I didn't even know that. Cashew milk?
- 1:25Speaker 2: Cashew milk, yeah.
- 1:26Speaker 1: That's a nut.
- 1:27Speaker 2: It is. So is almonds. Almond milk.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I don't like it here. I don't know. It's just crazy.
- 1:32Speaker 1: So I tried more coffees. Yeah, what I like about
- 1:36Speaker 1: Denver is I didn't realize how fall festivity Denver gets.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Like, there was the Broadway... parade that happened over the
- 1:46Speaker 1: weekend too. Freaking awesome.
- 1:48Speaker 2: First of all, did you go?
- 1:49Speaker 1: Yeah, we, well, we, I didn't, it was funny. I
- 1:51Speaker 1: kind of accidentally went, um, I was in Denver over
- 1:54Speaker 1: the weekend and we kind of just fell into it.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Meaning like we were in Denver earlier, got super, super busy.
- 1:59Speaker 1: And we were like, what the heck is going on?
- 2:01Speaker 1: Why is it so busy? And then we realized, okay,
- 2:03Speaker 1: the parade is tonight. That is cool. I want to
- 2:07Speaker 1: take more of it in next year for sure. Because
- 2:10Speaker 1: I did not realize how in character everything, Everybody gets.
- 2:13Speaker 3: It's a big deal, and everyone dresses up. Everyone is
- 2:18Speaker 3: essentially not themselves. It's an excuse to go be wild
- 2:22Speaker 3: and crazy, go in a costume, and just have some
- 2:24Speaker 3: fun with the other hooligans of Denver.
- 2:27Speaker 1: And that's what I love about Halloween, is it is
- 2:29Speaker 1: literally an excuse to... just be whoever you want. And
- 2:32Speaker 1: literally no one will judge. I can walk around as
- 2:35Speaker 1: Megatron if I want to from Transformers. And everyone's like,
- 2:38Speaker 1: oh yeah, well, it's close to Halloween. You're good, dude.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I love it. Cosplay whoever you want. Live your life.
- 2:43Speaker 1: So we kind of stumbled into that as well over
- 2:45Speaker 1: the weekend. That was awesome. But yeah, I mean, it's
- 2:49Speaker 1: kind of fun to do the couple Halloween activities right now. Oh, yeah.
- 2:52Speaker 2: It's like one of the best seasons for it. It's like, yes.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Christmas is fun and it's very romantic and there's a
- 2:58Speaker 3: lot of family-oriented things for Christmas, but Halloween and fall?
- 3:02Speaker 2: So much to do.
- 3:03Speaker 1: And what's funny is my girlfriend and I already did that.
- 3:07Speaker 1: So when we started dating last year, that was like
- 3:10Speaker 1: we started right during the holiday season. So this is
- 3:13Speaker 1: the last first that we have. Oh, cute. Otherwise, everything
- 3:16Speaker 1: else is going to be boring because we've already done it.
- 3:18Speaker 1: So we're kind of going big this Halloween season because
- 3:22Speaker 1: this is the last time, like last year at this time,
- 3:24Speaker 1: I didn't know her. Yeah. It's kind of fun to
- 3:26Speaker 1: be able to do your last first things together, you know?
- 3:28Speaker 2: Oh, that's adorable. I'd love that for you, Josh.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Oh, it's so much fun.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Thank you. Speaking of carving pumpkins, I did do that
- 3:35Speaker 2: over the weekend.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Did you?
- 3:37Speaker 2: Hubby and I, we carved some pumpkins.
- 3:40Speaker 3: I tried to make a ghost face, you know, like
- 3:42Speaker 3: the scream character.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 3:44Speaker 3: And I did a really good job, but it's only
- 3:47Speaker 3: a good job when it's dark and there's a candle
- 3:49Speaker 3: lit inside of it and you can tell what it
- 3:51Speaker 3: is because outside of that, It's so bad.
- 3:54Speaker 1: During the day, it just looks like, did you butcher it? Yeah.
- 3:57Speaker 2: No, I didn't.
- 3:58Speaker 1: No, you didn't.
- 3:58Speaker 3: It looks fine, but it has to only be with
- 4:01Speaker 3: a candle lit thing inside of it.
- 4:03Speaker 1: That's okay, because that's the point, right?
- 4:05Speaker 3: Usually, but during the day, and you see it on
- 4:07Speaker 3: the porch, you're like, what is that? I had some
- 4:09Speaker 3: friends come over, and they were literally trying to figure
- 4:11Speaker 3: it out. They're like, okay, I see that this one
- 4:12Speaker 3: is a regular jack-o'-lantern. What is this one?
- 4:15Speaker 1: Were your friends trying to be nice? They're like, oh,
- 4:17Speaker 1: it's a pumpkin. It looks so good.
- 4:21Speaker 2: No, I took a picture of it. It does look good,
- 4:22Speaker 2: I swear.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Okay, all right. I trust you. Kind of.
- 4:25Speaker 3: But the squirrels already got to my husband's pumpkin, so
- 4:29Speaker 3: those are going to be eaten up by the end.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Of the week. We talked about this. You've got to
- 4:32Speaker 1: take it in during the day because the bears and
- 4:34Speaker 1: the squirrels will get to it.
- 4:35Speaker 3: I am not going to take it in every day.
- 4:37Speaker 3: I'm just not. That's asking too much of me.
- 4:39Speaker 1: That's fair.
- 4:40Speaker 2: I'm letting you know right now.
- 4:41Speaker 1: I'd forget day one. It's okay. Don't worry. I'm with you.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I also went to go see a show yesterday, Gorillas
- 4:48Speaker 3: at Ballerina.
- 4:49Speaker 1: How was that?
- 4:49Speaker 2: So good.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Was it awesome?
- 4:52Speaker 2: So good.
- 4:53Speaker 3: It is worth the exhaustion that I'm feeling right now
- 4:55Speaker 3: because we stayed for.
- 4:56Speaker 2: The whole thing.
- 4:57Speaker 1: I know. What time did you get home?
- 4:58Speaker 2: I didn't get home until after 11.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Look, for us, people are like, after 11? No, for us,
- 5:03Speaker 1: that is like 2 in the morning.
- 5:04Speaker 3: No, it is 6.30 a.m. We're on the radio right now.
- 5:08Speaker 3: It takes a lot out of you. But yeah, going
- 5:10Speaker 3: to bed after 11 yesterday, it was rough. It was rough.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Getting up this morning, it was rough.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Yeah? Oh, yeah. Did you hit snooze? I did.
- 5:15Speaker 3: I did. But I also slept in my makeup, so
- 5:21Speaker 3: I had to do less this morning.
- 5:22Speaker 2: So, you know.
- 5:24Speaker 1: You're just laying on your back like, don't move, don't move,
- 5:27Speaker 1: everything's fine, it's okay. Literally!
- 5:29Speaker 3: It's no before you go.
- 5:31Speaker 2: And then now we push this button.
- 5:34Speaker 1: There we go.
- 5:35Speaker 2: There we go.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Okay, okay. Now I was like, we're missing something. Right?
- 5:38Speaker 2: Okay, okay. Let's get back on track.
- 5:40Speaker 3: It's no before you go.
- 5:42Speaker 2: It is powered by Mountain High Appliance.

- 5:57Speaker 3: Oh welcome to monday uh.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Welcome to monday with no sleep for either.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Of us yeah anyway it's good it's it's going great
- 6:04Speaker 3: uh anyway no before you go so we we all
- 6:06Speaker 3: have our irrational fears right totally josh yours is butterflies
- 6:10Speaker 3: and moths.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Which by the way i saw like 15 of them
- 6:13Speaker 1: this for uh this weekend yeah Horrible weekend.
- 6:15Speaker 2: They're beautiful creatures of this earth.
- 6:18Speaker 3: But anyway, mine is sinkholes.
- 6:21Speaker 2: I am so terrified of sinkholes.
- 6:23Speaker 3: And ever being around a sinkhole. And now a sinkhole
- 6:27Speaker 3: just popped up in Brighton.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Yo, they're coming after you.
- 6:32Speaker 3: No. Yes. So the city of Brighton is asking residents
- 6:36Speaker 3: to avoid the area near South 22nd Avenue and East
- 6:40Speaker 3: Bridge Street because a giant sinkhole appeared actually is causing
- 6:45Speaker 3: some damage right now. They've cleared off this area. It's
- 6:48Speaker 3: like four or five blocks. And it broke a water line.
- 6:52Speaker 3: So crews had to shut off the water in that
- 6:54Speaker 3: area to repair everything. They're hoping that everything will be
- 6:58Speaker 3: done by today. But yeah, residents in that area, no water.
- 7:02Speaker 3: There's streets blocked off and there are sinkholes popping up
- 7:05Speaker 3: in Brighton.
- 7:06Speaker 1: You know what's funny? I know that's an irrational fear.
- 7:08Speaker 1: That's a good irrational fear, though, because those things are horrifying.
- 7:12Speaker 1: It's funny. I read a story over the weekend. that
- 7:15Speaker 1: there was a man in the 80s, I believe, where
- 7:18Speaker 1: he was just laying in bed and he felt vibrating.
- 7:21Speaker 1: And he was like, what the heck is that? Like,
- 7:22Speaker 1: is it a small earthquake? He didn't really live in
- 7:24Speaker 1: an area that had earthquakes. Oh. He was swallowed by
- 7:28Speaker 1: a sinkhole.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Dude.
- 7:30Speaker 1: And Nina, he was never found.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Don't tell.
- 7:32Speaker 2: How do we know about this man?
- 7:34Speaker 3: What do you mean?
- 7:35Speaker 1: It's a story. Well, his house was swallowed. And they're like,
- 7:37Speaker 1: where did he go? He was swallowed in the sinkhole.
- 7:39Speaker 1: He was not found.
- 7:40Speaker 2: I hate this so much. So thank you so much
- 7:42Speaker 2: for that. You're very welcome.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Brighton, watch out. The sinkholes, they're coming. I thought I
- 7:46Speaker 3: was safe in Colorado. Apparently not.
- 7:48Speaker 1: No, actually, it's funny. Colorado has horrible dirt when it
- 7:51Speaker 1: comes to the resistance versus water. It doesn't hold it
- 7:55Speaker 1: very well. So sinkholes are a little bit more prone here.
- 7:57Speaker 1: So that's a fun fact for you. Cool.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Yes, that fear.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Literally shivers down my spine.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Thank you so much for that.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Getting a little more rational. All right, so we did
- 8:06Speaker 1: talk about last week Winnie the Pooh's 100th birthday, and
- 8:09Speaker 1: it is so sweet. And how ironic is this? A
- 8:13Speaker 1: real-life bear celebrated Winnie the Pooh's 100th birthday in a
- 8:17Speaker 1: very fitting fashion. It raided a California library, and guess
- 8:21Speaker 1: what it was raiding for, Nina?
- 8:23Speaker 2: Honey?
- 8:23Speaker 1: Honey! Shut up! It was raiding the library for honey.
- 8:27Speaker 1: The Mono County Libraries in California shared a video that
- 8:30Speaker 1: it had of a bear entering its branch, and around
- 8:34Speaker 1: 6 a.m., It was looking and wandering through the actual
- 8:38Speaker 1: part of the kitchen, and the bear headed straight for
- 8:41Speaker 1: the snacks, helping itself to things like peanut butter, peach cups, cookies.
- 8:46Speaker 1: And yes, it went through the jar of honey and
- 8:49Speaker 1: licked the thing clean. I'm like, okay, I didn't know
- 8:52Speaker 1: they actually wanted jars of honey.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:54Speaker 1: I have no idea.
- 8:55Speaker 3: It's like a natural thing that they can find out there,
- 8:58Speaker 3: you know, in the woods and stuff.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Yeah, and I get that.
- 9:00Speaker 3: But, like, it's so sweet, too, and their sense of
- 9:03Speaker 3: smell is so good, so he was tracking down that honey.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Oh, I bet he was. Oh, yeah. They said no
- 9:08Speaker 1: shelves or anything like that were toppled or destroyed, so
- 9:11Speaker 1: the books were totally fine. They were not harmed. However...
- 9:14Speaker 1: That jar of honey will never be returned to normal,
- 9:17Speaker 1: they said. The bear's wear amounts remained unknown. He literally
- 9:19Speaker 1: went in there to get honey and just dipped.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Oh, cool.
- 9:22Speaker 1: It might have been Winnie the Pooh.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Got what I needed. Bye.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I absolutely love it. I think that's really cute that
- 9:27Speaker 1: a real-life bear kind of celebrated with everybody.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Oh, that is cute.
- 9:31Speaker 3: And Chipotle, they made the world's biggest takeout bag, and
- 9:34Speaker 3: they want you to win one.
- 9:35Speaker 2: So it's funny.
- 9:36Speaker 3: They took these promo pictures of what you can fit
- 9:39Speaker 3: in this huge bag, and And you can put a
- 9:42Speaker 3: person inside this bag.
- 9:44Speaker 2: It's gigantic.
- 9:46Speaker 1: What?
- 9:46Speaker 2: It holds 170 liters.
- 9:48Speaker 3: It measures 36 inches wide, 24 inches tall, and 12
- 9:52Speaker 3: inches deep. And they are giving out these huge takeout bags.
- 9:57Speaker 3: They're selecting winners from their app. You use the app
- 10:01Speaker 3: to order a family meal or you can order at Chipotle.com
- 10:05Speaker 3: and you're automatically entered for a chance to win. They're
- 10:07Speaker 3: giving away these giant bags for the next few weeks.
- 10:10Speaker 3: And they're saying that this is the world's largest bag.
- 10:13Speaker 3: But honestly, I would love to see it measure.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Up to an Ikea bag. You know those Ikea bags
- 10:19Speaker 2: are huge.
- 10:20Speaker 1: The massive one. That's funny.
- 10:22Speaker 3: I mean, Chipotle, if you're going to talk the talk
- 10:24Speaker 3: like that, I think we need a side-by-side.
- 10:26Speaker 1: How bored are they over there at Chipotle? I know, right?
- 10:29Speaker 2: They're like, what can we do next? Takeout bags.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Yes.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Yes. Good for you guys. You know what? I like
- 10:34Speaker 1: the gimmick. I'm in. I want a big bag.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Okay, there you go.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I want to win one.
- 10:37Speaker 3: You just have to order a family meal on their
- 10:39Speaker 3: app and you will be entered to win.
- 10:41Speaker 1: I live alone. Okay, never mind.
- 10:44Speaker 3: After 7 o'clock, Josh, over the weekend you did all
- 10:47Speaker 3: the fun things, fun fall things, yes. On top of that,
- 10:51Speaker 3: you got some spooky scaries as well because you were
- 10:55Speaker 3: hanging out.
- 10:56Speaker 2: On Riverdale Road.
- 10:57Speaker 1: I was. We've got to talk about that.
- 10:59Speaker 3: Bruh. We've got to really talk about this. It's coming
- 11:01Speaker 3: up in less than 10 minutes on Mix 100. Yesterday,
- 11:04Speaker 3: we launched a new thing on Mix 100.
- 11:07Speaker 2: It is the 13 Days of Halloween.
- 11:11Speaker 3: And we are giving you a new scary story every
- 11:14Speaker 3: day until Halloween. And so yesterday, it was kicked off, Josh,
- 11:19Speaker 3: during your show.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:21Speaker 3: And someone had shared a story about Riverdale Road. And
- 11:24Speaker 3: Riverdale Road is known for being haunted.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's funny. Jessica was the one that shared
- 11:31Speaker 1: her story and kind of her experience. And I have never... Nina,
- 11:37Speaker 1: I'm not like... a truther, if you will, but I
- 11:40Speaker 1: don't necessarily believe in, like, ghosts and ghouls and goblins
- 11:45Speaker 1: and all that stuff. Maybe I just choose not to
- 11:47Speaker 1: because it's scary, to be honest.
- 11:49Speaker 2: I think that's what it is.
- 11:50Speaker 1: But the girlfriend and I were up in Thornton area
- 11:53Speaker 1: last night, and we did the Maze in the City. Maze, M-A-I-Z,
- 11:57Speaker 1: is that how you say it?
- 11:58Speaker 2: Yeah, you just say it regular, like maze.
- 11:59Speaker 1: So Maze in the City, which is next to, which
- 12:03Speaker 1: I didn't know this, Field of Screams, which is a very,
- 12:06Speaker 1: very popular movie haunted corn maze so we did the
- 12:09Speaker 1: maze in the city uh one and it was a
- 12:11Speaker 1: scary you know you know frightening time and it was
- 12:13Speaker 1: awesome it was so cool if you have any chance
- 12:15Speaker 1: to do some fun halloween stuff go up there it's
- 12:17Speaker 1: great um that being said it is literally across the
- 12:22Speaker 1: street from riverdale road okay and i saw that on
- 12:25Speaker 1: my google maps uh-huh and i was like we gotta go.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Come on so you went down you just took like
- 12:31Speaker 3: a little.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Detour to go on purpose. So one nice thing about
- 12:37Speaker 1: my girlfriend is that her family lives up there as well.
- 12:41Speaker 1: So because of that, we were like, yeah, she knows
- 12:45Speaker 1: this area pretty darn well. And she was like, oh
- 12:48Speaker 1: my gosh, I also have some haunted experiences on that road.
- 12:53Speaker 1: And I'm like, Dude, has everybody had this?
- 12:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, it's known for being haunted, so yes.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Okay, so I knew of it, but I did not
- 13:01Speaker 1: know it is considered one of the most haunted roads
- 13:04Speaker 1: in the world.
- 13:05Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I did not know that. So I did look up
- 13:10Speaker 1: and see what's so scary about this, and the well-known
- 13:13Speaker 1: hauntings are this thing called the Gates of Hell, which
- 13:16Speaker 1: is the Wolpert household, which he apparently... burned down with
- 13:21Speaker 1: his family in.
- 13:22Speaker 2: It wow cool.
- 13:24Speaker 1: There's the phantom jogger which is exactly where i was
- 13:27Speaker 1: so this is near 120th avenue where there was a
- 13:32Speaker 1: murdered jogger who uh chases vehicles taps on windows leaves
- 13:36Speaker 1: handprints on windows i hate that they say sometimes if
- 13:39Speaker 1: your windows are down you can feel his cold breath
- 13:42Speaker 1: on the back of your neck i'm getting goosebumps when
- 13:44Speaker 1: i say this There's also a Phantom Camaro, which is
- 13:48Speaker 1: about a Camaro that has one light out, and the
- 13:52Speaker 1: teens that were driving it went off the road, and
- 13:54Speaker 1: they all died in it. Crazy. And then there's the
- 13:56Speaker 1: Woman in White. The Woman in White is a hitchhiking
- 13:58Speaker 1: woman who is the lady that is the most famous.
- 14:02Speaker 1: She is said to leave you looking white like you
- 14:06Speaker 1: saw a ghost, essentially. Yeah. So all these things, and
- 14:09Speaker 1: I'm looking at all these things, Nina, while I'm on
- 14:11Speaker 1: Riverdale Road. Yeah. Scariest thing ever. It was crazy. I
- 14:16Speaker 1: might have seen the woman in white.
- 14:18Speaker 2: No way!
- 14:18Speaker 1: I'm not kidding. I saw something that when we got up,
- 14:22Speaker 1: and this is the notorious thing, when you get up
- 14:23Speaker 1: to the spot where you think you see her, she's gone.
- 14:26Speaker 1: And I didn't see anything when we got up there.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Scary.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I don't like that.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I don't know if it was just in my mind,
- 14:31Speaker 1: but I saw a shadowy figure, and.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Man.
- 14:34Speaker 1: It gave me chills.
- 14:35Speaker 3: The fact that you went up there after hearing that story.
- 14:38Speaker 3: I mean, if you missed out, if you missed that
- 14:40Speaker 3: episode of 13 Days of Halloween, it is up on
- 14:43Speaker 3: our socials at Mix 100 Denver on Instagram and on Facebook.
- 14:47Speaker 3: You can always catch up on those stories. We're going
- 14:49Speaker 3: to post them online. The Academy Music Gala. It was
- 14:52Speaker 3: over the weekend and every celebrity was there. I swear
- 14:55Speaker 3: to you. Sabrina Carpenter, Jacob Eldori, Hailey Bieber, and Taylor Swift,
- 15:00Speaker 3: of course, was there. And this was actually a big
- 15:02Speaker 3: night for Taylor specifically because she performed The Fate of
- 15:06Speaker 3: Ophelia for the first time live. So fans were excited
- 15:09Speaker 3: for that. Even though that's been out for a year,
- 15:12Speaker 3: she has never performed it live until now.
- 15:14Speaker 2: So there you have it. And she actually performed a
- 15:17Speaker 2: whole lot.
- 15:18Speaker 3: It wasn't just the one song because like this is
- 15:20Speaker 3: Taylor Swift we're talking about. And if we're doing a
- 15:22Speaker 3: gala like this, you're like, oh, she might do one song.
- 15:25Speaker 3: She might do two songs, but she just kept going.
- 15:28Speaker 2: She did. Fate of Ophelia, love story, blank space, I
- 15:33Speaker 2: knew it, I knew you. She just kept going.
- 15:35Speaker 1: The patrons were like, okay, one more?
- 15:37Speaker 2: Okay.
- 15:39Speaker 1: No, that's awesome.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Yeah, it was the Taylor show for sure.
- 15:43Speaker 3: On top of that, the Swifties are a little bit
- 15:45Speaker 3: in a frenzy because Taylor wore a dress from the
- 15:49Speaker 3: same designer as her wedding dress. So the Swifties are like,
- 15:53Speaker 3: does this dress look like her wedding dress? Because we
- 15:56Speaker 3: still don't know. Oh, you're right. Because it's the same designer,
- 16:00Speaker 3: they're like, ooh, is this our very own Taylor Swift
- 16:03Speaker 3: wedding Easter egg? Is part of Taylor's wedding dress in
- 16:07Speaker 3: this design? So the Swifties are going crazy right now.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I don't know. She looked good, though. I saw her dress.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I liked it.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Yeah, she looked good. Whatever she has done, girl, is
- 16:17Speaker 3: looking good.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Taylor is looking good, for sure.
- 16:21Speaker 1: I got to give a shout out to my girl, Sabrina.
- 16:23Speaker 1: She looked fantastic.
- 16:25Speaker 2: She did.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Sabrina, I know you're listening. Please reply to my DMs. Anyway,
- 16:30Speaker 1: Miley Cyrus, she has finally taken back the stage. And
- 16:33Speaker 1: she had a huge concert at the Hollywood Bowl over
- 16:36Speaker 1: the weekend. And it got pretty darn emotional to the
- 16:39Speaker 1: point where she was kind of sobbing. On stage and
- 16:42Speaker 1: for many reasons. I mean, this is her first time
- 16:44Speaker 1: kind of going back to Hollywood performances on stage. And
- 16:50Speaker 1: on top of that, she had a very emotional Dolly tribute,
- 16:53Speaker 1: which was beautiful. It was so well done.
- 16:56Speaker 3: I posted on my story just because it was like,
- 16:59Speaker 3: I don't know, Miley Cyrus and Dolly. And she was
- 17:01Speaker 3: up on stage and I love Miley so much. And
- 17:04Speaker 3: it was just such a moment.
- 17:06Speaker 1: It really was.
- 17:07Speaker 2: I was like, oh, I love this.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Plus, I mean, performing Jolene, that's unbelievable. That's my favorite
- 17:12Speaker 1: Dolly song, and I'm sure it's many's. But yeah, Miley,
- 17:16Speaker 1: she was obviously visibly emotional. She did pay tribute to, which,
- 17:19Speaker 1: by the way, for those that don't know, Dolly was
- 17:21Speaker 1: her godmother. Thank you. Her late godmother, Dolly Parton, obviously.
- 17:26Speaker 1: She said, me and Dolly, we are absolutely eternal. She said,
- 17:30Speaker 1: through tears. Like I said, she was very, very emotional
- 17:32Speaker 1: about this. She also surprised fans by bringing out other
- 17:35Speaker 1: people as well for certain songs. She had a couple
- 17:37Speaker 1: features on there as well. And I like this. I
- 17:40Speaker 1: like that she has two sold-out Hollywood Bowl shows. I
- 17:43Speaker 1: love that Miley Cyrus is kind of getting back out
- 17:45Speaker 1: there again. creating music, because it has been a little
- 17:47Speaker 1: bit since she's done this. It has. And I, for one,
- 17:51Speaker 1: I love Miley. I think she's a great actor, artist.
- 17:54Speaker 1: I've known her, or watched her since her Hannah Montana days,
- 17:56Speaker 1: like many of us have. I was one of those
- 17:59Speaker 1: kids that grew up on the Disney Channel, and I
- 18:01Speaker 1: really enjoyed watching her. So seeing her kind of get
- 18:03Speaker 1: back out into the performing world makes me really excited.
- 18:07Speaker 1: She also had her second show last night, I believe.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Yeah, she has like a series of shows coming out.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Yeah, which like the Hollywood Bowl is iconic, first of all.
- 18:14Speaker 1: That's awesome. So- I'm happy for her and I hope
- 18:17Speaker 1: she keeps doing this tribute to Dolly and Jolene because
- 18:19Speaker 1: she sings that song so well. I saw some videos
- 18:22Speaker 1: of it and I love the way she sounds.
- 18:25Speaker 2: So talented.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Yeah. And I didn't realize this, but the Victoria's Secret
- 18:28Speaker 3: fashion show is still happening, apparently.
- 18:30Speaker 1: I didn't know that either. I didn't realize. Like, I
- 18:32Speaker 1: saw a bunch of videos of people there afterwards, and
- 18:34Speaker 1: I was like, oh.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Oh, this is still going on.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Megan Thee Stallion was a celebrity model, and Kylie Jenner
- 18:41Speaker 3: made her debut at the Victoria's Secret fashion.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Show in a $ 50 million bra.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Million?
- 18:46Speaker 2: Million.
- 18:47Speaker 1: $ 50 million.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Just this bra.
- 18:51Speaker 3: So over 4,000 diamonds all over this bra. The centerpiece
- 18:56Speaker 3: was this 75.54 carat. 75 carats, okay? This yellow diamond.
- 19:03Speaker 1: What?
- 19:04Speaker 2: 75 carats. That's absurd.
- 19:05Speaker 3: But it was in the middle of the bra hanging
- 19:08Speaker 3: above her belly.
- 19:08Speaker 2: And it's just ridiculous.
- 19:10Speaker 3: I don't know who Victoria's Secret thinks They are to
- 19:14Speaker 3: be able to sell a $ 50 million bra, but Kylie
- 19:16Speaker 3: Jenner was wearing it.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Can I Google that on my work computer?
- 19:20Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 19:21Speaker 1: I'm nervous now, but I need to see that.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Do it on your phone just in case.
- 19:23Speaker 1: That's a great 75-carat diamond?
- 19:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:26Speaker 1: What the heck? Absurd.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Who can buy that?
- 19:29Speaker 3: No one. It's just for Kylie Jenner to wear the
- 19:31Speaker 3: one time on the runway.
- 19:33Speaker 1: But then what do you do with that? Do you
- 19:34Speaker 1: take the diamonds off? I don't know.
- 19:35Speaker 2: That is a great question. I don't know. Maybe they'll
- 19:37Speaker 2: be repurposed for something later.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Is that the bra you just throw in the hamper
- 19:41Speaker 1: and just leave it there?
- 19:42Speaker 2: Just toss it in the corner.
- 19:43Speaker 1: That's crazy. Good for her. That's awesome.
- 19:46Speaker 3: This is very cool. I think it's cool just because
- 19:49Speaker 3: I'm such a huge fan. huge fan of everything Red Rocks.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Nine News did an insider report of the time between
- 19:56Speaker 3: 11 p.m. when the shows end at Red Rocks and
- 20:00Speaker 3: 5 a.m. when the first visitors start to arrive. Red
- 20:04Speaker 3: Rocks is a 24-hour operation, and that's just not a
- 20:07Speaker 3: thought that had come across before. Before.
- 20:09Speaker 2: I just never really thought about it.
- 20:11Speaker 1: No, we only think about it when we're there, to
- 20:13Speaker 1: be honest. So it makes sense.
- 20:14Speaker 3: I mean, shout out to all the workers, even the
- 20:17Speaker 3: overnight staff over there at Red Rocks. I mean, think
- 20:20Speaker 3: about after a concert, all the beer cans, all the food,
- 20:23Speaker 3: it's all under the seats.
- 20:24Speaker 2: So they have to clean up all of the garbage.
- 20:27Speaker 3: They have to spray down all the seats of any stickiness,
- 20:31Speaker 3: you know, spilled beer and stuff like that.
- 20:33Speaker 2: They're also cleaning all the stairs.
- 20:35Speaker 3: They spray them down every single day and just get
- 20:38Speaker 3: it ready for all the visitors. And people come all
- 20:41Speaker 3: the time for the sunrise and everything, too.
- 20:43Speaker 1: And their yoga on the rocks. I mean, they're working
- 20:45Speaker 1: out over there. It's funny. The last time I was there,
- 20:48Speaker 1: I brought a pack of gum, like a brand new
- 20:51Speaker 1: unopened pack of gum. And I was like, it should
- 20:53Speaker 1: be fine. Like, it's unopened.
- 20:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:56Speaker 1: And they had to do like a little bag check
- 20:58Speaker 1: and they looked in my like fanny pack thing that
- 21:01Speaker 1: I brought. Yeah. And they like, you know, I could
- 21:04Speaker 1: have had, you know, anything in there and they go,
- 21:06Speaker 1: no gum. You can't bring it in there. And I'm like,
- 21:08Speaker 1: what the heck? Why? Makes total sense now. If you
- 21:10Speaker 1: put gum, I mean, you are bound to spit it
- 21:13Speaker 1: out or something and put it on the seats and
- 21:15Speaker 1: the stairways and stuff. And it's so messy. Actually, I
- 21:18Speaker 1: was kind of upset by it, but I love that
- 21:20Speaker 1: they do that and they have a no gum policy. Yeah.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Because it does help it keep it clean, right? No,
- 21:23Speaker 1: it does.
- 21:24Speaker 3: And it's funny because a lot of people don't realize this,
- 21:26Speaker 3: but you can bring food and stuff into Red Rocks
- 21:29Speaker 3: for a show and stuff.
- 21:30Speaker 2: But yeah, no gum.
- 21:32Speaker 3: I know a lot of venues don't let you bring
- 21:34Speaker 3: in stickers as well because people will stick them on
- 21:37Speaker 3: the bathroom stall or on the wall here and there.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Which makes sense.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I've been... My stickers have gotten confiscated before and
- 21:43Speaker 3: I was so mad because I paid for those. But yeah,
- 21:46Speaker 3: a lot of venues, they don't let you bring stickers
- 21:50Speaker 3: or gum. But shout out to everyone working over there
- 21:53Speaker 3: overnight and everything like that at Red Rocks. I just
- 21:56Speaker 3: never really thought about it, but it makes sense. that
- 21:58Speaker 3: it is a 24-hour operation.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Yeah, y'all are doing the Lord's work out there. Seriously,
- 22:02Speaker 1: getting it ready. All right, Nina, when you were driving
- 22:04Speaker 1: over the weekend, did you happen to run into, I
- 22:07Speaker 1: don't know, a giant 28-foot inflatable pumpkin rolling down the road?
- 22:11Speaker 2: Nope, not, I didn't see that.
- 22:13Speaker 1: This is hilarious. So Casper Police set out and said
- 22:18Speaker 1: on Facebook, hey- We have had a massive giant pumpkin,
- 22:22Speaker 1: a 28-foot inflatable Halloween pumpkin, get ripped from its roots
- 22:27Speaker 1: and start blowing down the road because it was so
- 22:31Speaker 1: windy up in Casper, Wyoming over the weekend. They said
- 22:34Speaker 1: that we had gusts of winds up to 75 miles
- 22:36Speaker 1: an hour, and that has now made this pumpkin roll
- 22:39Speaker 1: more than 60 miles from where it originally started down
- 22:44Speaker 1: the eastern plains of Wyoming. The police, the Casper, Wyoming police,
- 22:48Speaker 1: have chased this pumpkin now more than 60 miles down
- 22:50Speaker 1: the road until it made its way into Colorado.
- 22:55Speaker 3: What?
- 22:55Speaker 1: And that is where their jurisdiction ended. And they stopped.
- 22:59Speaker 1: They called Colorado police and said, hey, by the way,
- 23:02Speaker 1: keep an eye out for a giant 28-foot inflatable pumpkin.
- 23:06Speaker 1: As they finished their Facebook post now, Wyoming officials officially
- 23:11Speaker 1: closed this incident, dot, dot, dot, The pumpkin belongs to
- 23:14Speaker 1: Colorado now.
- 23:15Speaker 3: Wow.
- 23:16Speaker 1: That's how they ended their post. And Nina, this is
- 23:19Speaker 1: a massive pumpkin.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Wow, you just showed me the picture.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Showing on YouTube right now, too.
- 23:23Speaker 3: That is crazy. So that's, was that someone's decoration? Was
- 23:28Speaker 3: that part of like a corn maze type place?
- 23:30Speaker 1: I don't know. They didn't go into detail. It's huge.
- 23:33Speaker 1: It's huge.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Like that looks like it could go up at Anderson Farms.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Versus your neighbor's front yard. I don't know about that.
- 23:39Speaker 2: That's like.
- 23:40Speaker 1: It's too big. No, no, no. It's too big for
- 23:42Speaker 1: a front yard. Also, shout out Anderson Farms. If you
- 23:44Speaker 1: do see a pumpkin, take it. It's yours now.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Take it, right?
- 23:46Speaker 1: Yeah. Wyoming police kind of gave you jurisdiction of it now. So, yeah,
- 23:49Speaker 1: I just think it's so funny they made this whole
- 23:50Speaker 1: Facebook post. We chased it for 60 miles. And once
- 23:53Speaker 1: it crossed the border, they're like, you know what? It's
- 23:55Speaker 1: Colorado's problem now.
- 23:56Speaker 2: There's nothing we can do now.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Yeah. So it's up for grabs. Whoever wants it, go
- 23:59Speaker 1: take the 28-foot pumpkin. Wow.
- 24:01Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 24:02Speaker 3: So you know how we just had those new water
- 24:04Speaker 3: restrictions in Denver that started October 1st?
- 24:07Speaker 1: Yes.
- 24:07Speaker 3: Well, we're halfway through the month, and the numbers are
- 24:10Speaker 3: coming in. $ 175, 000 in fines have already been issued since
- 24:12Speaker 3: October 1st. Wow.
- 24:20Speaker 1: You people do not listen, do you?
- 24:22Speaker 3: What the heck?
- 24:24Speaker 2: So that's what a lot of it is.
- 24:27Speaker 3: It's 252 reports against residential properties of people who just, like,
- 24:31Speaker 3: didn't get the memo that they were going to be fining.
- 24:33Speaker 3: They tried to tell you, and we tried to tell you, too,
- 24:36Speaker 3: that they were going to be serious about all of
- 24:38Speaker 3: these restrictions and fining you, and it was going to
- 24:42Speaker 3: be expensive. And right now, these restrictions are going to
- 24:46Speaker 3: stay in place. These are staying in place right now
- 24:48Speaker 3: till spring at.
- 24:50Speaker 2: The very least.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Well, and look, like, I don't know. I was kind
- 24:53Speaker 1: of pissed about it, too. I am like that guy.
- 24:55Speaker 1: I love a good front lawn, okay? So I notice, obviously,
- 24:59Speaker 1: my front lawn getting more and more dry. And, like,
- 25:01Speaker 1: when it's still nice and 75 degrees out and stuff,
- 25:04Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't want to, you know, have it
- 25:06Speaker 1: go to waste, right? I want my green lawn. And
- 25:09Speaker 1: then I saw pictures of what Lake Dillon looked like.
- 25:11Speaker 2: And it's so bad.
- 25:12Speaker 1: It's so bad. I mean, seriously, save where you can. Yeah.
- 25:15Speaker 1: I totally agree with this now. Yeah. Save the water.
- 25:19Speaker 1: And I think it's something.
- 25:20Speaker 2: And just, like, let's really, really hope that snow.
- 25:24Speaker 2: We need snow.
- 25:25Speaker 3: We desperately need some snow, and hopefully these restrictions will
- 25:28Speaker 3: be lifted by spring.
- 25:29Speaker 2: But we'll see.
- 25:30Speaker 1: I know there's a rain dance. Can we do a
- 25:31Speaker 1: snow dance?
- 25:32Speaker 2: Right?
- 25:32Speaker 3: We need that.
- 25:33Speaker 1: We just have to put ski clothes on?
- 25:34Speaker 2: Yeah, that's all.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Miley Cyrus has been performing at the Hollywood Bowl this
- 25:39Speaker 3: past weekend. She has a couple more shows lined up.
- 25:42Speaker 3: And I have seen a few videos. Maybe it's just
- 25:46Speaker 3: my timeline. And let me tell you, I'm a Miley fan.
- 25:49Speaker 3: I am not a Miley hater by any means. But
- 25:51Speaker 3: I have seen these videos come up on my timeline
- 25:54Speaker 3: about Miley Cyrus, and she's getting a little bit of
- 25:57Speaker 3: heat right now because of her performances for two reasons.
- 26:02Speaker 3: Reason number one, she said, I don't want a tour.
- 26:06Speaker 2: I'm not gonna tour.
- 26:07Speaker 3: I just want to do a couple shows at the
- 26:09Speaker 3: Hollywood Bowl because she wants to go home afterwards. And
- 26:13Speaker 3: she's like, the fans can come to me, which the
- 26:15Speaker 3: fans were kind of.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Like, whoa.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Ooh.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Whoa.
- 26:19Speaker 3: To say that and kind of treat the people who,
- 26:23Speaker 3: you know, have given her a career that way to
- 26:26Speaker 3: be like, you need to come to me.
- 26:27Speaker 2: I will not come to you type of deal.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Usually you are a little more prolonged in your career
- 26:33Speaker 1: at that point. Like I think of people that do
- 26:35Speaker 1: like Vegas residencies or things like that. You're a little...
- 26:38Speaker 1: You've toured for years and years and years, let's say that.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Which I'm not saying Miley hasn't. Miley has been a
- 26:43Speaker 1: childhood star. She has given a lot to the people.
- 26:46Speaker 2: She's had like a 30-year career already, basically.
- 26:50Speaker 1: I'm a little shocked by that, though. I will say that.
- 26:52Speaker 3: So that was just one of those things where, yeah,
- 26:54Speaker 3: people were a little shocked that she said it the
- 26:56Speaker 3: way that she did say it in this interview. And
- 26:59Speaker 3: then beyond that, too, people were saying that her performance
- 27:03Speaker 3: over this past weekend at the Hollywood Bowl was wasn't
- 27:07Speaker 3: the greatest Miley performance they've ever seen.
- 27:09Speaker 2: And it was unfortunate because of a few things.
- 27:13Speaker 3: They said that you can tell Miley's going through some stuff,
- 27:17Speaker 3: obviously with the passing of Dolly and she got very
- 27:19Speaker 3: emotional on stage.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Besides that, her dad, who she doesn't, like.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Sometimes she gets along with him, sometimes she doesn't.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Up and down, yeah.
- 27:28Speaker 3: And it feels very like their relationship currently is very
- 27:31Speaker 3: surface level.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Which has to be hard because she used to be
- 27:35Speaker 2: very close to her dad.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Yeah, that's her dad.
- 27:37Speaker 3: He's also just got engaged to his girlfriend, Elizabeth Hurley.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Yes.
- 27:41Speaker 3: So maybe Miley's feeling some feelings about that as well.
- 27:44Speaker 3: And so all these different things that are potentially going
- 27:47Speaker 3: on in Miley Cyrus' life kind of came to light
- 27:50Speaker 3: on stage when she was performing over the weekend. Wasn't
- 27:53Speaker 3: the greatest performance. And because of that, she didn't give
- 27:56Speaker 3: it her all. And she even said during one of
- 27:58Speaker 3: her performances that, you sing it for me, because the
- 28:01Speaker 3: fans were singing all of her classics. And she was
- 28:04Speaker 3: letting the fans do a lot of the singing rather
- 28:07Speaker 3: than her actually performing, which is what people paid money
- 28:11Speaker 3: for to see her, to hear her.
- 28:14Speaker 1: That's a tough look. I don't know. I will say
- 28:17Speaker 1: I saw some clips of her singing the climb, and
- 28:19Speaker 1: I really liked that. The nostalgia factor of that is awesome.
- 28:23Speaker 1: But it's true. There have been many different artists that
- 28:26Speaker 1: kind of do the whole, hey, you sing it, you know,
- 28:28Speaker 1: my throat is killing me. Like, I don't know.
- 28:31Speaker 3: But when she just started this little series, she's not
- 28:34Speaker 3: even touring.
- 28:34Speaker 2: It's not an everyday thing.
- 28:35Speaker 3: So fans have already kind of been a little disappointed
- 28:39Speaker 3: with Miley Cyrus's performances at.
- 28:41Speaker 2: The Hollywood Bowl.
- 28:42Speaker 3: And I don't know, I'm not here for the Miley
- 28:44Speaker 3: slander by any means because I just adore her.
- 28:48Speaker 2: I love her music. I always have.
- 28:50Speaker 3: But it's just unfortunate that I think the mindset Miley
- 28:54Speaker 3: Cyrus is in right now for these performances.
- 28:57Speaker 1: When your heart's not in it, obviously it's really hard
- 29:01Speaker 1: to get up and get going and be like, okay,
- 29:02Speaker 1: let's do this show. And to put your energy and
- 29:05Speaker 1: all into something when you are not feeling it is
- 29:08Speaker 1: tough to do. I mean, that's one of the hardest
- 29:11Speaker 1: things to do, I would say. I mean, we do
- 29:12Speaker 1: a show that is also... We perform here as well.
- 29:15Speaker 1: And if you're feeling under the weather or sick, you
- 29:17Speaker 1: have something on your mind.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Or tired.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Or tired, like a lack of sleep. But it is hard.
- 29:21Speaker 1: It is hard to give your all to something like that.
- 29:24Speaker 1: And so I understand it. But you're right. I mean,
- 29:26Speaker 1: it is kind of, I will say I'm kind of
- 29:27Speaker 1: disappointed too that she doesn't want to go on tour anymore.
- 29:30Speaker 1: A little bit. Or go see her fans. Because without
- 29:32Speaker 1: her fans, I mean, literally she's nothing. So that is
- 29:36Speaker 1: a little disappointing.
- 29:36Speaker 3: It was weekend one. Maybe she's just going through some
- 29:40Speaker 3: hard times right now. We'll see weekend two. This upcoming
- 29:42Speaker 3: weekend is when she's going to be doing some more shows.
- 29:45Speaker 1: That's interesting. We'll have to stay updated on that.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Yeah. I'm rooting for you, Miley. I really am, girl.
- 29:49Speaker 3: We love you. Oh, Celebrity Quickie. We love to get messy,
- 29:53Speaker 3: especially when it comes to families. And Last week we
- 29:57Speaker 3: had some really sad news. RJ Mitty, the actor, had
- 30:00Speaker 3: taken his life and reports are coming in about his
- 30:03Speaker 3: personal life now. His fiance allegedly did not get along
- 30:07Speaker 3: with his family, particularly his mom. And there are rumors
- 30:11Speaker 3: that his fiance, her name is Kennedy Suarez, gave him
- 30:15Speaker 3: an ultimatum to pick her or his mom, which is
- 30:19Speaker 3: just not fair. I don't like that. I hate that
- 30:22Speaker 3: situations come up where people feel that that's Something that's
- 30:25Speaker 3: okay to do.
- 30:26Speaker 1: It's not.
- 30:27Speaker 3: But now the family is saying that they did not
- 30:31Speaker 3: invite her, the fiance, to his celebration of life this
- 30:34Speaker 3: past Saturday.
- 30:35Speaker 2: So he took his life, it was last Tuesday.
- 30:38Speaker 1: Uh-huh.
- 30:38Speaker 3: They had that celebration of life pretty quick. It was
- 30:42Speaker 3: last Friday. And yeah, they did not invite the fiance.
- 30:45Speaker 3: She did not go.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Uh-huh.
- 30:46Speaker 3: And now the family is saying, well, it's because they
- 30:50Speaker 3: haven't talked to her since he passed away.
- 30:53Speaker 1: So there's definitely something going on there. They didn't like her.
- 30:56Speaker 1: She didn't like them. Whatever it was.
- 30:58Speaker 3: It probably goes back and forth. And we don't know
- 31:00Speaker 3: the whole situation. I don't want to make a bunch
- 31:02Speaker 3: of assumptions of what's going on with them. But it's
- 31:05Speaker 3: just unfortunate that they didn't get along. And in these
- 31:08Speaker 3: situations where.
- 31:09Speaker 2: You know, obviously this news is so public. He was
- 31:12Speaker 2: an actor.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Just the fact that the family didn't invite her to
- 31:15Speaker 3: that celebration of life and they haven't talked to her,
- 31:17Speaker 3: it just feels so messy.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Well, and you can see how heavily it obviously weighed
- 31:23Speaker 1: on his heart. So that is very unfortunate. Obviously, if
- 31:27Speaker 1: you have someone who's your fiancé, you love her so much.
- 31:29Speaker 1: You also love your parents. You love your mom. You
- 31:31Speaker 1: love your dad. So that's a very unfortunate thing, and
- 31:34Speaker 1: I hope that's not the only sole reason. I hope not.
- 31:38Speaker 1: that he decided to do what he did. It's a
- 31:40Speaker 1: heartbreaking situation, and that makes it even more worse that
- 31:43Speaker 1: the fact that the family and her don't even get along.
- 31:45Speaker 3: I know, I know.
- 31:46Speaker 2: It's very messy and unfortunate.
- 31:49Speaker 1: It is. Well, this is a very interesting story. Blue
- 31:53Speaker 1: Bloods actor Donnie Wahlberg, who's also in New Kids on
- 31:56Speaker 1: the Block, this guy's been around, he's Marky Mark's brother,
- 31:59Speaker 1: he just released a video, I'm looking at this, 55
- 32:02Speaker 1: minutes ago, how he was... almost in a plane accident.
- 32:07Speaker 1: And this is what's crazy. I saw this over the weekend,
- 32:10Speaker 1: that a plane had kind of run long over the
- 32:13Speaker 1: runway in Las Vegas. And all of a sudden, if
- 32:17Speaker 1: you know anything about the Vegas airport, there is a
- 32:20Speaker 1: highway that kind of runs.
- 32:21Speaker 2: It's like right by there.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Perpendicular to it, yeah. And then you have to take
- 32:27Speaker 1: off to go over the highway. Well, this plane didn't
- 32:30Speaker 1: quite make it. So essentially what happened was the plane...
- 32:33Speaker 1: was either too heavy, the numbers were run wrong, something
- 32:37Speaker 1: happened there where they did not get the plane off
- 32:39Speaker 1: the ground. So once you hit a certain velocity, like
- 32:41Speaker 1: you are supposed to take off, you have to get
- 32:43Speaker 1: the plane off the ground, otherwise you can't stop in time.
- 32:46Speaker 1: So this plane couldn't take off, and so what it
- 32:48Speaker 1: did was as it was going along the runway, they noticed, hey,
- 32:51Speaker 1: we don't have a lot of runway left here. And
- 32:53Speaker 1: they had to veer off. And essentially, Nina, it looks
- 32:56Speaker 1: like they made a U-turn so that they wouldn't hit
- 32:59Speaker 1: this runway or flip and hit the Vegas sign. The
- 33:01Speaker 1: Vegas sign's right there, too.
- 33:02Speaker 3: Well, I was just going to say, yeah, this part
- 33:04Speaker 3: of the airport, was this the private jet area.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Of the airport?
- 33:08Speaker 1: I am not 100% sure, but both of these airports
- 33:11Speaker 1: are close to the runway.
- 33:12Speaker 3: Yeah, the last time that I was in Vegas, we
- 33:15Speaker 3: finally went and visited the Vegas sign. And that sign,
- 33:18Speaker 3: it's right there, and you can see the planes. The
- 33:20Speaker 3: planes are right there next.
- 33:21Speaker 2: To the Vegas sign.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Very low, I might add.
- 33:23Speaker 3: Because that road is there, there's like a chain link fence,
- 33:26Speaker 3: and then airplanes. Yes.
- 33:28Speaker 1: It's right next to it.
- 33:29Speaker 3: Them missing this and not being able to take off
- 33:31Speaker 3: or whatever happened is very scary. That could have been
- 33:35Speaker 3: way worse. Like, no vehicles, no one was injured.
- 33:37Speaker 1: We're good. It did not hit anything but a fence. Like,
- 33:40Speaker 1: shout out to the pilots, first of all, for getting
- 33:43Speaker 1: them out of this situation because it takes so much
- 33:46Speaker 1: skill to be able to handle that with the ability
- 33:49Speaker 1: that they did. So shout out to them. But, yeah,
- 33:51Speaker 1: I mean, New Kids fans... You know, you're okay. Everybody,
- 33:54Speaker 1: you're okay. The reunion tour can still happen.
- 33:56Speaker 3: Yes.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Because Donnie and his family are okay, you know. So
- 33:59Speaker 1: that's just a crazy thing that happens. I mean, obviously,
- 34:01Speaker 1: airplanes and stuff like that is so, so rare. That's
- 34:04Speaker 1: why it makes the news.
- 34:05Speaker 3: Right, right.
- 34:06Speaker 1: But definitely a scary situation nonetheless, you know.
- 34:08Speaker 2: I think so. I'm glad they're okay.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Yeah, and the Vegas sign is okay, too.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Okay, good, good, good.
- 34:12Speaker 3: And Dakota Johnson and MGK are heating things up. I mean,
- 34:16Speaker 3: they've been spotted together since Taylor Swift's wedding back in July.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Yes.
- 34:19Speaker 3: And more and more, they are just making things public,
- 34:22Speaker 3: being seen together, and Dakota even went as far to
- 34:25Speaker 3: say that MGK is the best in bed that she.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Has ever had.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Whoa. Okay, you know what's funny?
- 34:31Speaker 2: That's a bold statement.
- 34:32Speaker 1: I mean, she is, she's kind of a very sexual
- 34:35Speaker 1: person anyway. She is. I mean, you know the movies
- 34:38Speaker 1: she's been in and things like that, but for her
- 34:39Speaker 1: to just To say that is crazy. I mean, MGK's
- 34:43Speaker 1: probably already got an inflated ego, but now he's like, yeah,
- 34:47Speaker 1: you know, I'm the best. You know what?
- 34:49Speaker 2: Good for him, and quite frankly, good for her.
- 34:51Speaker 1: Fifty Shades of MGK, all right.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Hilary Duff, she just announced an extension on her tour,
- 34:58Speaker 3: because remember when we saw her at Red.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Rocks, Josh?
- 35:01Speaker 1: Oh, she crazy. Crushed it.
- 35:02Speaker 2: It was so good.
- 35:04Speaker 1: The nostalgia hit so hard that night.
- 35:06Speaker 2: It was so much fun.
- 35:07Speaker 3: Yes, and her tour has been so successful that, yeah,
- 35:10Speaker 3: she is going to extend it. She announced a second
- 35:13Speaker 3: date in Denver, but it's not going to be until November.
- 35:17Speaker 2: Of next year.
- 35:18Speaker 1: It's still over a year away.
- 35:20Speaker 3: I know.
- 35:20Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 35:21Speaker 1: That's all right. She's busy. I understand.
- 35:22Speaker 2: But the good news is it's going to be at
- 35:24Speaker 2: Ball Arena.
- 35:24Speaker 3: And Ball Arena, as much as we love Red Rocks,
- 35:27Speaker 3: I mean, Ball is great because more people can enjoy
- 35:30Speaker 3: the show.
- 35:30Speaker 1: It holds way more. Yeah. That's the thing. It holds
- 35:33Speaker 1: way more people, which is good for the state of
- 35:35Speaker 1: Colorado because Red Rocks, I feel like... It almost felt
- 35:38Speaker 1: like it was an exclusive event. Like, hey, you know,
- 35:41Speaker 1: the who's who's here, because only a certain amount of
- 35:43Speaker 1: people can get in there, you know?
- 35:44Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, exactly.
- 35:46Speaker 3: But Hilary Duff is coming back to the Mile High
- 35:48Speaker 3: next year at Ball Arena. You can get all your
- 35:50Speaker 3: ticket info at mix100. com. Thank you so much for listening
- 35:54Speaker 3: to Denver's Morning Show with Nina and Josh. And Josh,
- 35:57Speaker 3: you are finally getting into the world of coffee, which
- 36:00Speaker 3: I can't believe you've been in morning radio for years now,
- 36:03Speaker 3: and you're not a coffee drinker.
- 36:05Speaker 2: That's just... psychotic to me.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Well, and you know what's funny is the coffee that
- 36:09Speaker 1: I've been drinking, you're going to sound, I'm going to
- 36:11Speaker 1: sound even weirder, is decaf. I'm drinking decaf.
- 36:14Speaker 3: No, what?
- 36:15Speaker 1: I know. I know. I've had caffeinated. It's fine. But
- 36:18Speaker 1: I will say the caffeine in coffee is way different
- 36:23Speaker 1: than the caffeine that I've felt from like energy drinks
- 36:25Speaker 1: slash like just caffeinated sodas or anything like that. It's
- 36:28Speaker 1: like a.
- 36:29Speaker 2: Is it because it's real caffeine?
- 36:31Speaker 1: It's too much. Like I need, I want a full
- 36:34Speaker 1: cup of coffee. Like I want a 12 ounce cup.
- 36:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:36Speaker 1: But that being said, I drink a 12 ounce and
- 36:39Speaker 1: I also think I'm having a heart attack.
- 36:40Speaker 3: Oh no.
- 36:41Speaker 1: And I don't love that feeling.
- 36:42Speaker 2: Cause you're just not used to the caffeine. We need
- 36:44Speaker 2: to build up your tolerance is all.
- 36:46Speaker 1: See, I don't think I should. I'm like, I don't
- 36:48Speaker 1: know if that's okay. Like it's okay. I'm too young
- 36:51Speaker 1: to be having heart palpitations. So I don't, I don't
- 36:55Speaker 1: want that.
- 36:56Speaker 3: No, I get it. But it's just so crazy to me. Like,
- 37:00Speaker 3: it's just crazy that you don't, drink it on a
- 37:03Speaker 3: normal basis, and yet we wake up at the time
- 37:05Speaker 3: that we do every morning.
- 37:06Speaker 2: But it's interesting.
- 37:08Speaker 3: There's a debate online right now that coffee shops are
- 37:12Speaker 3: not open early enough.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Wait, what?
- 37:15Speaker 2: It's like an oxymoron.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:17Speaker 3: For real. So there's a lot of debates online because
- 37:20Speaker 3: there's plenty of coffee shops that don't open until like 10,
- 37:25Speaker 3: which is absurd.
- 37:26Speaker 1: What is happening?
- 37:27Speaker 3: But the reason behind it, all of these smaller coffee shops,
- 37:30Speaker 3: these like mom and pop shops, They're saying that people
- 37:33Speaker 3: actually don't go into their coffee shops super early in
- 37:37Speaker 3: the morning. Most people will make coffee at home or
- 37:41Speaker 3: sometimes they'll go into the Starbucks drive-thru.
- 37:43Speaker 2: That one is open early.
- 37:45Speaker 3: But all the smaller mom and pop ones, they don't
- 37:49Speaker 3: see a lot of traffic coming through their doors early.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Early in the morning.
- 37:53Speaker 1: You know what's funny? I can attest to this. I
- 37:56Speaker 1: have been with a buddy of mine earlier this year, actually.
- 37:59Speaker 1: I was at a coffee shop with him. Dude, is addicted. Okay.
- 38:03Speaker 1: He loves coffee. But that being said, we got there
- 38:05Speaker 1: really early and like, this is a one-time thing, but
- 38:08Speaker 1: no one was in there. It was literally the barista
- 38:10Speaker 1: and he and I, and that was it. And I
- 38:12Speaker 1: just sat there. I was like, I thought these things
- 38:14Speaker 1: were kind of hopping early in the morning, like, you know,
- 38:16Speaker 1: workers getting their things done. And then it did not,
- 38:18Speaker 1: we were there for probably, I don't know, two hours,
- 38:22Speaker 1: maybe just chilling. He was sipping his coffee. I had
- 38:24Speaker 1: a little croissant. It was great.
- 38:26Speaker 2: That's crazy. Two hours and you didn't see anyone else
- 38:28Speaker 2: in there?
- 38:28Speaker 1: Literally, it was dead. And then we left. And as
- 38:31Speaker 1: we were leaving, people were getting out of their cars.
- 38:33Speaker 1: And this was probably, I don't know, at that time, 8.30
- 38:35Speaker 1: in the morning, a little bit later. People were getting
- 38:37Speaker 1: out of their cars and starting to make their way in. Finally.
- 38:41Speaker 1: So maybe that is kind of true.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Interesting.
- 38:42Speaker 1: But I also think, do you also think coffee probably
- 38:46Speaker 1: in a lot of ways is like food in that
- 38:48Speaker 1: making it at home is a little cheaper, right?
- 38:50Speaker 2: 100%.
- 38:50Speaker 3: And coffee prices have gone up an insane amount. Have they? Yeah.
- 38:56Speaker 1: See, this is funny. I'm new to the game still.
- 38:58Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm just paying what I pay. I
- 38:59Speaker 1: don't know.
- 39:00Speaker 2: I went to this little coffee shop. I was walking,
- 39:04Speaker 2: not Chatfield, Cheesman Park.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:06Speaker 3: And there's a little coffee shop that's nearby, and it
- 39:08Speaker 3: was so expensive. I got the small cup of coffee,
- 39:11Speaker 3: and I was still paying $ 7, $ 8.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Are you serious? Yeah, it's too much.
- 39:16Speaker 1: That's ridiculous.
- 39:17Speaker 3: We love our coffee shops, but the price has gotten crazy.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
