- 1:00[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much for being here.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: If you're new to the B.A.T.C.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: at Podcast, I'm going to do an interview on Tuesday.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: Every cap sound Thursday.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_01]: And this is my time to share a win of yours.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: You can send your wins into B.A.POD.com slash questions.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: As we can send your questions as well, but you can also send your wins.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I want them.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: I want more wins from you.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_01]: So, some that inspired me are, like, sometimes I feel like it should, it can be educational.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_01]: So, they erased the 13th month.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_01]: because it was ruled by women.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: So this is from Stellaport on Instagram.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: And this is interesting because I definitely had done some research and learned how like we got the Roman calendar, which is like, makes no sense.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_01]: And we have went to starting the new year off in the middle of winter, which makes zero row sense.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: We should start the year off at spring, right?
- 1:44[SPEAKER_01]: I just think so.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_01]: But okay, here we go.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_01]: before the church ruled time, women followed a different calendar, one based not on the sun, but on the moon.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: It had 13 months of 28 days, marrying the menstrual cycle.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: This wasn't just myth, it was myth.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: 13 times 28 equals 364.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: Plus, one holy day equals 365.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: Brad just walked in and then I just blew his mind.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_01]: So, by the way, the Instagram has sources, so if you're like, this is baloney, no, it's not.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: There's like little sources.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_01]: This lunar calendar shaped everything.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_01]: It had a four-sake, six-grid weeks per month, new, whaxing, full, and waning.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: Sabis were tied to moon phases, and a full year called a year and a day, a phrase, still found in spells and folklore.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: I have seen that in some stuff, and I was like,
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: So you're in a day.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: Right, cultures around the world honored it.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: Maya, Maya women, said that their calendar came from administration.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: Chinese women divide the sky into 28 lunar mansions.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: And in Gaelic words for menstruation and calendar are the same.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_01]: Mios, miosac, and miosacan.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, M-I-O-S-A-C-H-N-M-I-O-S-A-C-H-A-N.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_01]: So there you go.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_01]: The Romans used the word menstruation for measuring time.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_01]: It comes from mensura, measure.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: From the same route we get mensies, month, and the word mensies, the monthly cycle.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_01]: So one is men's, this may be en mensies.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: A woman's body was the first clock.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: mind blown.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: But this body, based time, was slowly erased.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: The church replaced the 13th moon, year with a 12 months solar one.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: They called 13 unlucky moon rights became witchcraft, even menstruation became taboo.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: Still, the signs survived.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: Witchcovins honor the number 13.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: The 13 treasures of Britain.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: So, with 13 teats and multis tempels, 12 in night fire, 12 small flames plus one large one to represent the 13th moon of the new year.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: So, lots of people just like keeping that history around, I love it generation of hundreds of years later.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_01]: The church flip time inside out pagans began their days at sunset.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: The Saxon word for day actually meant night.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_01]: Good night was once good den or good moon day.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: Christianity didn't release the goddess calendar.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: It was rebranded.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: Christmas Eve equals the pagan night of the mother.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: Easter equals set by the first full moon after the spring equinox.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_01]: May Eve mid-sever's Eve, Alamus Eve, all house Eve, all began as a lunar right.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_01]: This is interesting.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: This source that's here, I started on another podcast, but pretty much every amazing holiday, used to be a pagan holiday, and then the church just rebranded it.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: So anyways, always good to know where these things came from, because I just think you should know.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think you should know what things really are.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: They try to rewrite time to flatten her curves and to straight lines, but the moon cycles never left.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_01]: They pulse in the mirror of stories and the tides of women in the
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: So hopefully I can get this girl who posted this on the pod.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: I really, she was cool.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought this information was cool.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: And with ladies, when you know, right?
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: Time was actually all about us.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I just think that's amazing.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: So, okay, a win of yours.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: Lisa McDonald had a summer cancellation hole in my schedule, but turned what could be considered negative to a positive and did boom boom pow with Leslie on the reformer finished with my boom ring on the mat stood up and said awesome out loud it felt great such a win coming off my do at session with Leslie and Melissa Hargrove last night.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: I felt strong, connected and fabulous.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Leslie, for inspiring me to look for a win and celebrate.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: Lisa McDonald, of course.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, Lisa's an OPC member.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_01]: She's done my mentorship program.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: And so the boom boom pal was one of the OPC classes.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: And at OPC, we have a name for every class.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: You have access to it for two weeks.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: And it's really fun when you get, if you're a teacher, you get a cancellation and you take class because then you get to have extra time with your
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: My win didn't get celebrated last week.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_01]: We were out of town and I wanted to make sure I told you.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: Brad and I celebrate 10 years of being married last week, which is insanity.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's so crazy.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: If you, maybe this is, maybe I'm not the only one.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_01]: But please let me know.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: If you feel like you are like, hold on.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_01]: How long have I been?
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: But this person or how long have I been doing any anniversary, right?
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: Like, how long have I been doing this?
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it felt like we just got married and actually, obviously, we have it.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: But like, doesn't feel like it's been 10 years, which I guess is great.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: in 10 years like in insane amount in 10 years and it's really cool because this is like the first time we have so much more to go and so much more to grow but just really grateful that we got to celebrate that together because sometimes our universities line up where we are on a plane and we're together but like one of them probably sleeping and also several times it's happened where we've like taken off on a flight on the second we've landed on the fourth
- 6:54[SPEAKER_01]: because we lost today.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_01]: So it's really nice that we were around together in the day light, av hours, not on the plane, able to actually celebrate our tenure anniversary, which is really really great.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: So normally the winds are something that you want to celebrate, sometimes they're big, like a 10 year, you know, also a little bit 11 as well.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_01]: But I think it's important that, you know, we celebrate winds bigger small.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_01]: In the coming months, we're going to have a habit series on the program.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: And one of the biggest things you can start doing to make habits happen is start to notice the things that you actually are getting done.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_01]: The wins that are actually happening in your life.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: All right, there's little ones every single day, and we are just not taking enough time to celebrate what we did do.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: And you know what, maybe you've got a lot going on in your life.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: And the only thing to celebrate is that you took a shower.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: And you put on a different change of clothes.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_01]: That's a huge win.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: If that was a hardest thing you could do in the day.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I think we have to start giving ourselves credit for what we have done.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_01]: And I really, I interviewed someone to be on the pod and I really, what they're saying, there's so many people are doing outward actions to get outward affirmation versus looking and glowing from within.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: And you can only do that if you're actually recognizing that you're doing really great stuff.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: Basin Grace, babe, all right, your mantra, you ready for it?
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: I do not rise and fall for another.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: I do not rise and fall for another.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: I do not rise and fall for another.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_01]: No, you don't.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: You rise.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_01]: You rise for you.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_01]: Got it?
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: So easy to do it for other people.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: And it hurts because it's hard that way.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: So I do not rise and fall for another.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_01]: You guys have an amazing week.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_01]: We've got a great guest coming up next week.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_01]: Can't wait for you to hear it.
