Mega Edition: Jeffrey Epstein's Legal Problems And The Fixer He Used To Get Rid Of Them (9/1/26) · The Vault: The Epstein Files

0:00
Speaker 1: We've talked a lot about Darren Indyk on the program
0:05
Speaker 1: and how he was very much involved with Jeffrey Epstein
0:10
Speaker 1: and the day-to-day operations of the criminal enterprise. In tonight's article,
0:16
Speaker 1: we're going to add a little more context to that.
0:20
Speaker 1: And this article is going to explain how Darren Indyk
0:26
Speaker 1: and the pattern of transactions made from Deutsche Bank signal
0:33
Speaker 1: the patterns of somebody who is engaging in money laundering.
0:37
Speaker 1: We've talked about CTRs here. We've talked about different ways
0:44
Speaker 1: that the government has to keep an eye on these
0:48
Speaker 1: sorts of transactions. And when I say CTR, I mean
0:53
Speaker 1: cash transaction reporting. So the government has all of these
0:58
Speaker 1: guidelines in place To make sure that money laundering doesn't occur.
1:03
Speaker 1: And Deutsche Bank and Darren Indyk and Jeffrey Epstein, obviously,
1:08
Speaker 1: ignored all of those rules. And it looks like Darren
1:14
Speaker 1: Indyk was engaging in something called structuring. And what structuring is,
1:19
Speaker 1: is when you withdraw money from the bank in increments
1:24
Speaker 1: that do not trigger you to have to sign CTR
1:28
Speaker 1: paperwork or for it to be a CTR type of transaction.
1:33
Speaker 1: And that would be anything over $ 10, 000. So $ 10, 000 and
1:38
Speaker 1: one cent makes it a CTR transaction. So what you
1:42
Speaker 1: do if you're trying to structure from... let's say a
1:47
Speaker 1: sports wagering perspective, because in the sports books, it's the
1:50
Speaker 1: same deal. You have to keep track of what these
1:53
Speaker 1: players are wagering. And any time $ 10, 000 goes across the
1:58
Speaker 1: counter in one transaction or multiple, it has to be CTR'd.
2:03
Speaker 1: So what will happen is you'll have people that try
2:06
Speaker 1: and do something called structuring, where they'll make sure that
2:09
Speaker 1: the $ 10, 000 is never coming across the counter one way
2:13
Speaker 1: or the other. And when you notice a pattern of
2:16
Speaker 1: people trying to do that, you sark them. Suspicious activity report.
2:21
Speaker 1: And the bank, they have the same mechanisms in place
2:25
Speaker 1: to try and stop money laundering. And Deutsche Bank and
2:28
Speaker 1: other financial institutions, by the way, were looking the other
2:32
Speaker 1: way when Jeffrey Epstein and his minions like Darren Indyk
2:36
Speaker 1: were engaging in in this bit of smurfing. So let's
2:40
Speaker 1: jump into our article from Law and Crime and let's
2:44
Speaker 1: add a little bit more meat to the bone here
2:46
Speaker 1: and some more context to the money laundering angle. This
2:50
Speaker 1: article is from Law and Crime. The headline, Brutal Rebuke
2:55
Speaker 1: of Deutsche Bank Raises Serious Questions About One of Jeffrey
2:59
Speaker 1: Epstein's Lawyers. This article was authored by Jerry Lamb on
3:04
Speaker 1: July 7th of 2020. Deutsche Bank on Tuesday agreed to
3:11
Speaker 1: a $ 150 million settlement over its relationship with since-deceased sex offender,
3:16
Speaker 1: pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, shining a light on the German-based bank's
3:21
Speaker 1: consistent failure to comply with financial regulations concerning millions of
3:26
Speaker 1: dollars of suspicious transactions. And it's not just Jeffrey Epstein
3:30
Speaker 1: who was using this bank, right? We know that a
3:32
Speaker 1: lot of these billionaire types of people were using Deutsche
3:36
Speaker 1: Bank or are still using it. A lot of Russian oligarchs,
3:40
Speaker 1: Donald Trump had money there. A lot of these billionaires
3:43
Speaker 1: used this bank. And I said from the very outset,
3:47
Speaker 1: if the American Congress was serious about looking into Trump
3:51
Speaker 1: and if he did have any kind of relationship with
3:55
Speaker 1: the Russians, it would have been through the financials. Not
3:59
Speaker 1: the way they went about it. And Deutsche Bank is
4:02
Speaker 1: the common denominator here, though, folks. That's what's really important.
4:06
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank seems to always be embroiled in some sort
4:11
Speaker 1: of money laundering scheme or financial... irregularities, as they like
4:17
Speaker 1: to call it. For me or you, that's money laundering, or,
4:20
Speaker 1: you know, washing our money, or avoiding taxes. For me
4:24
Speaker 1: or you, forget it. We're going to prison. End of story.
4:28
Speaker 1: These guys, ah, they don't even get in trouble. Their
4:30
Speaker 1: bankers get clipped with a fine. But the details contained
4:38
Speaker 1: in the blunt consent order between the bank and New
4:41
Speaker 1: York State Financial Regulators... may potentially provide prosecutors with a
4:45
Speaker 1: new route for unearthing vital information pertaining to Epstein's alleged
4:50
Speaker 1: criminal network. And this is what I've been talking about
4:52
Speaker 1: from the jump, right? When I talk about RICO and
4:55
Speaker 1: I talk about financial forensic accountants, that's what you need.
5:01
Speaker 1: You need financial forensic accountants digging into all of these transactions.
5:07
Speaker 1: They need to find the origin of where the transactions
5:11
Speaker 1: originated from And they need to find the destination. And
5:14
Speaker 1: every single person who is involved in facilitating these transactions
5:19
Speaker 1: or fattening their pocket from these transactions needs to be
5:23
Speaker 1: caught up in this RICO investigation just like anybody else
5:27
Speaker 1: would be. Again, that's all I'm talking about here. Fairness
5:31
Speaker 1: under the law. One law for everybody. I don't care
5:35
Speaker 1: if you're a big banker at one of these stupid-ass
5:39
Speaker 1: large banks. I don't care if you're Jeffrey Epstein. I
5:42
Speaker 1: don't care if you're the ice cream man. Everybody should
5:46
Speaker 1: get a fair shake if they get in trouble or
5:50
Speaker 1: if they got to go before a judge. The deck
5:53
Speaker 1: shouldn't be stacked against the common man or the common
5:56
Speaker 1: woman where people like Jeffrey Epstein and his big buddies
6:00
Speaker 1: at Deutsche Bank just get a slap on the wrist.
6:08
Speaker 1: According to the agreement, an unnamed personal attorney working for
6:12
Speaker 1: Epstein made 97 separate cash withdrawals from Epstein's accounts at
6:17
Speaker 1: the same Manhattan location between 2013 and 2017. An unnamed
6:24
Speaker 1: personal attorney, huh? I'll give you guys one guess, okay?
6:27
Speaker 1: I'm gonna go out on a limb here, and I'm
6:29
Speaker 1: guessing this limb that I'm out on is pretty strong.
6:34
Speaker 1: It's going to be Darren Indyke who was involved in
6:36
Speaker 1: all of this. We know he was handling the day-to-day
6:39
Speaker 1: operations for Jeffrey Epstein from a legal standpoint. We know
6:43
Speaker 1: that it was Darren Indyke who was the bag man.
6:47
Speaker 1: We know all of this. His name was all over,
6:49
Speaker 1: littered all over documentation. And you think Jeffrey Epstein would
6:56
Speaker 1: have somebody involved in his smurfing scheme? His structuring plot
7:00
Speaker 1: that he couldn't trust? Somebody that wasn't ironclad and already
7:05
Speaker 1: locked into the conspiracy? Come on, folks. The transactions, which
7:11
Speaker 1: occurred two to three times per month... were all in
7:14
Speaker 1: the amount of $ 7, 500 Deutsche Bank's limit for third-party withdrawals.
7:20
Speaker 1: So basically, he was acting as, Indyk, who we're speculating
7:25
Speaker 1: was the lawyer here, he was acting as a third-party
7:29
Speaker 1: agent for Jeffrey Epstein. Now, again, in the financial sector,
7:35
Speaker 1: so far as the sportsbook world, we have the same thing.
7:38
Speaker 1: Somebody can act as your agent and wager on your
7:41
Speaker 1: behalf if all of the proper documentation is filled out.
7:46
Speaker 1: And if that documentation is not filled out and you're
7:49
Speaker 1: giving somebody money to wager on your behalf, well, it
7:52
Speaker 1: is technically illegal. And the same goes here, right? If
7:56
Speaker 1: you're going to act as an agent for somebody, there
7:58
Speaker 1: are certain guidelines that must be followed. And I mean,
8:03
Speaker 1: I'm shocked that they even followed the $ 7, 500 guidelines. I
8:07
Speaker 1: guess they didn't want to trigger FinCEN too much, so
8:10
Speaker 1: they had to, you know, sprinkle a little bit of
8:12
Speaker 1: truth in with their lies. Under federal regulations, banks and
8:17
Speaker 1: other financial institutions must file currency transaction reports with the U.S.
8:22
Speaker 1: Treasury Department when there are cash transactions with an individual
8:26
Speaker 1: in excess of $ 10, 000 in one day. And that's what
8:31
Speaker 1: I was talking to you about just a second ago
8:33
Speaker 1: as far as the sportsbook goes. So, you know, I
8:36
Speaker 1: would deal with that quite a bit. The sportsbook I
8:39
Speaker 1: worked for, we would take huge, gigantic wagers. It was
8:44
Speaker 1: nothing for me to take $ 100, 000 or more on a
8:48
Speaker 1: football game on a Thursday night. So I was dealing
8:53
Speaker 1: with a lot of big money. And anytime $ 10, 000 went
8:56
Speaker 1: over the counter one way or the other... well, we
9:00
Speaker 1: had ourselves a CTR situation. And if I missed a
9:04
Speaker 1: CTR or one of them didn't get filed and something occurred,
9:09
Speaker 1: forget it. It was a big deal. It was a
9:12
Speaker 1: serious transgression. Gaming would get involved and it would become
9:16
Speaker 1: a big, serious, serious situation. So the fact that Deutsche
9:19
Speaker 1: Bank was able to get away with shit like this
9:22
Speaker 1: and let it fly under the radar, I just don't
9:24
Speaker 1: understand how that could happen Unless they had people directing
9:28
Speaker 1: their auditing team to do so, because that's what happens
9:32
Speaker 1: right at the end of the night, at least from
9:35
Speaker 1: the sports book, everything gets packed away, sent up to auditing.
9:38
Speaker 1: They go over it and they look for discrepancies. And
9:42
Speaker 1: if you screwed up, you'll get notified in the morning.
9:47
Speaker 1: And I'm sure it's the same within this banking system.
9:53
Speaker 1: Breaking up transactions to avoid the CTR reporting is a
9:57
Speaker 1: criminal offense commonly referred to as structuring the agreement stated
10:02
Speaker 1: and that's exactly what it is again i dealt with
10:05
Speaker 1: it quite a bit when i was working in the
10:07
Speaker 1: financial sector sports gaming and um it was a big
10:11
Speaker 1: problem right you had a lot of people trying to
10:12
Speaker 1: game the system They don't want their names in this database.
10:16
Speaker 1: They certainly don't want to fill out the government paperwork, right?
10:20
Speaker 1: They don't want to fill out that W-9. They don't
10:22
Speaker 1: want to give over their ID and their social. So
10:25
Speaker 1: they have to fill out that W-9 if they don't
10:26
Speaker 1: have their social. And forget it. It becomes a whole thing.
10:29
Speaker 1: I can't tell you how many arguments I got into
10:32
Speaker 1: with customers who did not want to pony up the
10:35
Speaker 1: proper documentation. You would think if somebody won 10 grand
10:39
Speaker 1: and a few bucks more would want to pony up
10:42
Speaker 1: whatever sort of documentation that's coming your way, right? If
10:45
Speaker 1: you're going to get that kind of dough, but these
10:47
Speaker 1: people were resistant and you can't explain CTR to them.
10:52
Speaker 1: It's illegal while I'm at work for me to explain
10:55
Speaker 1: to you how to structure a bet or how to
10:57
Speaker 1: structure a money laundering move. So there was a lot
11:02
Speaker 1: of things that had to occur and we weren't able
11:05
Speaker 1: to get into the particulars with the customers and that
11:08
Speaker 1: really launched them into orbit. We had these little cards
11:11
Speaker 1: we could hand out that explained what Title 31 was.
11:14
Speaker 1: I swear to you, I shit you not. As attorney
11:19
Speaker 1: Adrian Lawrence noted, this type of conduct is a classic
11:23
Speaker 1: indicator of money laundering. And there's a tweet embedded into
11:27
Speaker 1: the article by this lawyer Adrian Lawrence. During one period,
11:32
Speaker 1: Epstein made 97 cash withdrawals of $ 7, 500. 00. Now, why would
11:40
Speaker 1: you make the withdrawals at $ 7, 500? Why wouldn't you just
11:44
Speaker 1: make them for the $ 10, 000? Why wouldn't you make them
11:47
Speaker 1: for $ 3, 600? So it's $ 7, 500 at a clip. Why don't
11:53
Speaker 1: you just transfer that money? Because they're trying to deal
11:56
Speaker 1: in cash. And of course, you can't trace cash the
11:59
Speaker 1: way you can digital transactions and money transfers. So of course,
12:05
Speaker 1: they want to make sure that cash is the king.
12:08
Speaker 1: And that's how they roll. Making numerous cash transactions beneath
12:14
Speaker 1: the $ 10, 000 reporting threshold is called smurfing, an indicator of
12:19
Speaker 1: money laundering. Deutsche Bank was on notice, but it evidently
12:22
Speaker 1: looked away. And again, look, I find it hard to
12:25
Speaker 1: believe that everybody missed the signs that this was obvious
12:31
Speaker 1: money laundering and at the very least, Title 31 CTR violations.
12:37
Speaker 1: That alone should have triggered a huge investigation. It should
12:40
Speaker 1: have triggered all kinds of action on the part of
12:43
Speaker 1: the authorities. But at Deutsche Bank, they obviously didn't care, right?
12:49
Speaker 1: They were ignoring it. Because it's not just, you know,
12:52
Speaker 1: for instance, you have several lines of defense for things
12:55
Speaker 1: like this. At the end of the day, it ends
12:57
Speaker 1: up in auditing. And auditing goes through everything with a
13:01
Speaker 1: fine-tooth comb. And they're supposed to be the people who
13:04
Speaker 1: find these indiscretions and then call down to the bank
13:08
Speaker 1: and say, what in the F is going on? But
13:12
Speaker 1: it looks like none of that occurred here. And that
13:15
Speaker 1: Darren Indyke, allegedly, was able to be involved in about
13:19
Speaker 1: 97 transactions in just one period where he was structuring
13:25
Speaker 1: the withdrawals. The term smurfing refers to a common structuring
13:30
Speaker 1: technique where a money launderer employs individuals or smurfs to
13:35
Speaker 1: make unlawful transactions. Now, in my industry, we call them beards.
13:40
Speaker 1: And a beard is somebody who comes in... And wagers
13:44
Speaker 1: for somebody who we call a sharp. Now a sharp
13:47
Speaker 1: is somebody who has... A very good track record against
13:51
Speaker 1: the book. Or somebody who has perhaps... Found a way
13:55
Speaker 1: to game the system. Or whatever the circumstances may be...
14:00
Speaker 1: Their action is no longer welcomed with the book. So
14:03
Speaker 1: what they do is they employ somebody called a beard.
14:06
Speaker 1: And that person acts as if it was their money...
14:10
Speaker 1: And they are the ones who come and wager and
14:13
Speaker 1: collect and pay into their accounts, whatever it may be.
14:18
Speaker 1: Which is not legal, by the way. Furthermore, on at
14:23
Speaker 1: least two occasions, Epstein's attorney also inquired how he could
14:28
Speaker 1: withdraw cash on behalf of Mr. Epstein without triggering an alert.
14:33
Speaker 1: That is so insanely illegal. out of bounds when it
14:38
Speaker 1: comes to a financial institution. The fact that he even asked,
14:42
Speaker 1: he should have been sarked right there. Suspicious activity report.
14:46
Speaker 1: It should have went into the FinCEN database and the
14:50
Speaker 1: alarm should have been buzzed up high because this is just,
14:55
Speaker 1: this is what I was just talking about. You can't
14:58
Speaker 1: help somebody's structure. You can't give them tips on how
15:01
Speaker 1: to beat Title 31. And that's what he was asking
15:04
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank to do. And obviously it was on two
15:08
Speaker 1: separate occasions and the people told somebody because we're hearing
15:12
Speaker 1: about it here, but nothing occurred. Epstein's accounts should have
15:16
Speaker 1: been frozen that moment. Former federal prosecutor, Hanato Mariotti, a
15:23
Speaker 1: CNN legal analyst said, pointed out that prosecutors in the
15:26
Speaker 1: Southern District of New York could very likely use this
15:29
Speaker 1: information against this unnamed lawyer to make him cooperate with
15:34
Speaker 1: their investigation into Epstein's other associates. Now, remember, this dude,
15:40
Speaker 1: I'm speculating, is Darren Indyke. And if that's the case,
15:43
Speaker 1: he's an executor of the estate. After all we've learned
15:48
Speaker 1: about Darren Indyk, folks, after everything we've heard about him,
15:51
Speaker 1: about the criminality he's been engaged in from day one
15:54
Speaker 1: with Jeffrey Epstein, do you really think that this man
15:58
Speaker 1: should be administering the estate of Jeffrey Epstein? Of course not.
16:05
Speaker 1: There has to be some sort of mechanism to remove
16:08
Speaker 1: this man. Epstein's attorney should be concerned about his own liability,
16:15
Speaker 1: given that he asked how to evade requirements. I would
16:18
Speaker 1: not be surprised if SDNY federal prosecutors tried to put
16:21
Speaker 1: pressure on this attorney in order to convince him to
16:25
Speaker 1: cooperate against Epstein's other associates, Mariotti wrote, but any cooperation
16:30
Speaker 1: would be complicated by potential attorney-client privilege issues. I've prosecuted lawyers,
16:36
Speaker 1: and later represented lawyers who were under investigation, and And
16:40
Speaker 1: prosecuting a lawyer is never easy. Immunity in exchange for
16:44
Speaker 1: the lawyer's cooperation is a possibility, depending on what the
16:48
Speaker 1: lawyer did and how helpful he can be. Well, we
16:52
Speaker 1: know for a fact that the SDNY goes after lawyers.
16:57
Speaker 1: They went after Cohen, Trump's lawyer, right? And not only
17:00
Speaker 1: went after him, they hung old boy from on high.
17:04
Speaker 1: So we know that the SDNY is not going to
17:06
Speaker 1: shy away from that. because they will go after lawyers
17:10
Speaker 1: they have done it obviously already so i would not
17:14
Speaker 1: be shocked to see them go after indyke i've already
17:17
Speaker 1: said on record here that i believe that after all
17:19
Speaker 1: is said and done indyke's going to need lawyers of
17:22
Speaker 1: his own um In an interview with Law & Crime,
17:30
Speaker 1: CNN legal analyst Eli Honig, a former SDNY prosecutor, said
17:35
Speaker 1: he largely agrees with Mariotti's take. Basically anything that will
17:40
Speaker 1: give SDNY leverage can potentially be used to flip those
17:44
Speaker 1: who may have been involved in criminal activity, Honig said.
17:47
Speaker 1: If you have a lawyer who is intentionally breaking off
17:50
Speaker 1: transactions to avoid triggering reporting requirements, that's a violation of
17:55
Speaker 1: federal law, which is certainly something that could be used
17:58
Speaker 1: as leverage to flip somebody. For sure. And that's what
18:01
Speaker 1: I've said to you here forever, right? That's what they
18:05
Speaker 1: do in these federal investigations. I've seen it with my
18:08
Speaker 1: own eyes. I've seen people get broken down by the
18:11
Speaker 1: federal government this way. They will use whatever they can
18:15
Speaker 1: to get you to flip on your friends or flip
18:17
Speaker 1: on your associates. And that's how it works. And if
18:21
Speaker 1: they have some leverage on Indyke in this regard, you
18:24
Speaker 1: better believe Allison Moen Company are going to use it
18:28
Speaker 1: and they're going to leverage him. Honig explained that while
18:34
Speaker 1: attorney-client privilege would certainly complicate the matter, that privilege would
18:39
Speaker 1: not attach to criminal conduct. There's a crime fraud exception
18:44
Speaker 1: to attorney-client privilege, meaning that if the conversations were in
18:48
Speaker 1: furtherance of a contemplated or ongoing crime, then the content
18:52
Speaker 1: of those conversations are no longer protected by privilege, Honig added.
18:58
Speaker 1: Former federal and state prosecutor Daniel R. Alonzo suggested SDNY
19:04
Speaker 1: was likely already investigating the unnamed attorney. 100%. This is
19:09
Speaker 1: a vast investigation. And the grand jury is still convened.
19:14
Speaker 1: They're investigating many angles and many people. And unnamed lawyer, a.k.a.
19:22
Speaker 1: Darren Indyke, is most assuredly, in my opinion, one of them.
19:28
Speaker 1: Here's a tweet from Daniel R. Alonzo talking about how
19:32
Speaker 1: he agrees with Renato Mariotti's breakdown of the situation. Very true.
19:40
Speaker 1: And note that structuring is also used very frequently to
19:44
Speaker 1: establish probable cause to obtain search warrants. Given what we know...
19:40
Speaker 1: And this is all part of the larger, grandiose investigation, right?
20:01
Speaker 1: And they only need something like this to use as
20:03
Speaker 1: probable cause to get their foot in the door. And
20:06
Speaker 1: then once the foot is in the door, we see
20:09
Speaker 1: how that ends up. According to the consent agreement, which
20:14
Speaker 1: did not sugarcoat Deutsche Bank's turning of a blind eye
20:17
Speaker 1: to Epstein. The bank properly classified Epstein as a high-risk client,
20:22
Speaker 1: but didn't take necessary precautions and didn't examine suspicious transactions
20:27
Speaker 1: associated with exorbitant cash spending. So basically, they looked the
20:32
Speaker 1: other way. They didn't take any of their FinCEN responsibilities seriously,
20:37
Speaker 1: and they avoided all of these obvious money laundering type transactions.
20:44
Speaker 1: The bank was well aware not only that Mr. Epstein
20:47
Speaker 1: had pled guilty and served prison time for engaging in
20:50
Speaker 1: sex with a minor, but also that there were public
20:52
Speaker 1: allegations that his conduct was facilitated by several named co-conspirators.
20:58
Speaker 1: Despite this knowledge, the bank did little or nothing to
21:01
Speaker 1: inquire into or block numerous payments to named co-conspirators and
21:07
Speaker 1: to or on behalf of numerous young women or to
21:12
Speaker 1: inquire how Mr. Epstein was using, on average, more than $ 200, 000
21:18
Speaker 1: per year in cash, the agreement stated. They basically gave
21:24
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein the keys to the kingdom and told him, financially,
21:29
Speaker 1: you can run amok, do whatever you want. You can
21:33
Speaker 1: move as much money as you want here. put as
21:37
Speaker 1: much money as you want in the bank, take it out,
21:40
Speaker 1: whatever you want. And while you're at it, go ahead
21:42
Speaker 1: and just send over your smurf, your beard, and he
21:45
Speaker 1: could take out as much as he wants to. Well,
21:50
Speaker 1: they never thought the house of cards was going to
21:53
Speaker 1: come down around them. And now all of these chickens
21:59
Speaker 1: are coming home to roost and people like unnamed lawyer
22:05
Speaker 1: here a.k.a. Mr. Indyke, are looking at a world of pain.
22:14
Speaker 1: If you'd like to contact me, you can do that

Speaker 1: at bobbycappucci at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com. You can

Speaker 1: also find me on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. All

Speaker 1: of the links that go with this episode can be
22:33
Speaker 1: found in the description box. All right, everybody, I'll be
22:36
Speaker 1: back tomorrow. On to our article for the day. Today
22:40
Speaker 1: we have an article from the Daily News. And this
22:43
Speaker 1: article has to do with Darren Indyke. Now, we've talked
22:47
Speaker 1: about Darren Indyke plenty on the podcast. We know that...
22:51
Speaker 1: He has been less than an honorable man when it
22:55
Speaker 1: comes to his relationships with Jeffrey Epstein. And I am
22:58
Speaker 1: also on record saying that I don't believe he should
23:00
Speaker 1: have any part of being an executor for the estate
23:04
Speaker 1: considering how wrapped up he was with Jeffrey Epstein. So
23:08
Speaker 1: we have a new article out today from the Daily
23:10
Speaker 1: News that's covering that subject. The headline, co-executor of Jeffrey
23:15
Speaker 1: Epstein's estate faces questioning under oath over extensive ties to pervert.
23:20
Speaker 1: This article was authored by Stephen Rex Brown. The co-executor
23:28
Speaker 1: of Jeffrey Epstein's estate faces questioning under oath next month
23:31
Speaker 1: about his longtime ties to the pervert, a source tells
23:35
Speaker 1: the Daily News. Yeah, he should be facing questions. Darren
23:38
Speaker 1: Endyke was attached to Jeffrey Epstein's hip for years. And
23:42
Speaker 1: I've coined him as Jeffrey Epstein's in-house lawyer. We know
23:45
Speaker 1: that that's the case. We know that Indyke was involved
23:48
Speaker 1: in all of these Epstein moves. We know that Indyke
23:51
Speaker 1: was there guiding his hand. And the fact that he
23:54
Speaker 1: is the executor of the estate is a joke at
23:57
Speaker 1: this point, in my opinion. And I've said it from
23:59
Speaker 1: the beginning. This man should have nothing to do with
24:02
Speaker 1: dispersing funds to survivors of Jeffrey Epstein, considering he was
24:06
Speaker 1: complicit in their abuse. Darren Indyk is scheduled to be
24:12
Speaker 1: deposed by attorneys representing Epstein survivors on June 22nd. It
24:17
Speaker 1: is perhaps the first time Indyk has been questioned under
24:20
Speaker 1: oath about his more than two decades of work as
24:23
Speaker 1: Epstein's lawyer. This is significant. Getting him under oath and
24:27
Speaker 1: asking him these questions is a big deal because hopefully
24:29
Speaker 1: he perjures himself. and then they have a reason to
24:33
Speaker 1: arrest him because, in my opinion, Indyke is very, very,
24:37
Speaker 1: very corrupt and he is up to his chin in
24:40
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's misdeeds. Epstein named Indyke and accountant Richard Kahn
24:46
Speaker 1: as co-executors of his estate only two days before hanging himself, allegedly,
24:51
Speaker 1: in his lower Manhattan cell while awaiting trial for sex
24:54
Speaker 1: trafficking of underage girls. A source said the attorneys will
24:58
Speaker 1: look to grill Indyk about his possible role helping Epstein
25:01
Speaker 1: maintain his supervillain lifestyle. Yeah, those are questions that shouldn't
25:05
Speaker 1: only be asked by the attorneys. Where are the prosecutors
25:08
Speaker 1: asking these questions? Where is the state or the federal
25:11
Speaker 1: government stepping in and telling Indyk and Khan that they
25:15
Speaker 1: can't be involved in this? There's none of that. Why
25:17
Speaker 1: would they care? The state doesn't care about this case.
25:20
Speaker 1: That's surely the way it seems to me. All they
25:23
Speaker 1: care about is making sure that it doesn't blow up
25:25
Speaker 1: in their face. They don't care about justice for the survivors.
25:29
Speaker 1: They don't care about making things right. Nope, none of that.
25:36
Speaker 1: Indyk was Epstein's in-house lawyer of the Epstein Enterprise, the
25:39
Speaker 1: source said. Yeah, I've been saying that for months. Now
25:43
Speaker 1: it's finally coming out in the legacy media. They're saying
25:45
Speaker 1: the same thing, which is good. I don't care about
25:48
Speaker 1: any of that stuff. I don't care who said it first.
25:50
Speaker 1: I don't care who talked about it first. All I
25:52
Speaker 1: care about is that the information is getting out there
25:55
Speaker 1: to you, the public. This is not about me. Some
25:58
Speaker 1: content creators and some people who cover these cases, they
26:01
Speaker 1: like to make it about them. This is not about me.
26:04
Speaker 1: This is about those girls who were abused and taken
26:08
Speaker 1: advantage of by Jeffrey Epstein and his friends. And it's
26:11
Speaker 1: about the corrupt government that provided protection for him. Anybody
26:17
Speaker 1: who's trying to conflate the issue and make it about
26:19
Speaker 1: themselves is detrimental to the case. The deposition will likely
26:25
Speaker 1: lead to thorny conflict of interest questions about Indyke's status
26:29
Speaker 1: as executor of Epstein's $ 634 million estate and possible witness
26:35
Speaker 1: to alleged crimes committed by the financier. Pedophile. Yeah, you
26:39
Speaker 1: would think that there would be a bit of a
26:41
Speaker 1: conflict of interest here. The guy has been his in-house
26:44
Speaker 1: lawyer for years and years and years and years, and
26:47
Speaker 1: now he's involved in doling out the dough? Now he's
26:50
Speaker 1: involved in making sure everybody is taken care of as
26:53
Speaker 1: far as settlements go? So what you're telling me is
26:57
Speaker 1: that we should be trusting Darren Endyke to be, I
27:02
Speaker 1: don't know, the arbiter of a moral decision? Well, I'm
27:06
Speaker 1: not willing to do that, and the court shouldn't be
27:08
Speaker 1: willing to do it either. The court should remove him
27:11
Speaker 1: however they can and get rid of him. He shouldn't
27:14
Speaker 1: be doling out money for the survivors. He should be
27:18
Speaker 1: hiring his own defense lawyers to defend his actions within
27:22
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's enterprise. He'll also be questioned about whether he
27:27
Speaker 1: has any knowledge of surveillance footage from inside Epstein's properties
27:30
Speaker 1: that has seemingly disappeared, the source said. Oh, it just disappeared, huh?
27:35
Speaker 1: I thought the FBI raided the house. I thought the
27:37
Speaker 1: FBI was in possession of all of these videos. Now
27:39
Speaker 1: they disappeared? No, they didn't disappear. If anything, they were
27:43
Speaker 1: destroyed by people like Indyk, by people like Sarah Kellen Vickers,
27:47
Speaker 1: by people like Leslie Groff, etc., etc. The same people
27:51
Speaker 1: that are still running around right now escaping justice. Indyk
27:56
Speaker 1: will be asked about whether he helped secure living arrangements
27:59
Speaker 1: for Epstein survivors. Public records show the 55-year-old Long Island
28:03
Speaker 1: native had a former address at 301 East 66th Street
28:07
Speaker 1: where many Epstein survivors, employees, and guests also stayed. Yeah,
28:13
Speaker 1: we know that that building was filled with Epstein associates,
28:16
Speaker 1: filled with people that were being abused by Epstein. And
28:19
Speaker 1: we know that Mark Epstein was heavily involved in that
28:21
Speaker 1: as well. So we've established that Indyke had an office there.
28:26
Speaker 1: All of these people were involved with Jeffrey Epstein, all
28:29
Speaker 1: had these apartments and these offices, et cetera, et cetera,
28:33
Speaker 1: at this building at East 66th Street. The federal government
28:39
Speaker 1: can't put the two and two together? They can't tie
28:42
Speaker 1: these pieces together? He can expect questions about whether he
28:46
Speaker 1: has any knowledge of VIPs and young girls on Epstein's plane,
28:50
Speaker 1: which was nicknamed the Lolita Express. He'll also be quizzed
28:53
Speaker 1: about his involvement managing Epstein's payroll, including any role he
28:57
Speaker 1: may have had in payments to employees after the pedophile
29:01
Speaker 1: was arrested last year, the source said. Yeah, look, we
29:04
Speaker 1: know that Epstein was paying these girls big time dough, $ 200, 000
29:08
Speaker 1: a year, not because they were good at what they did,
29:11
Speaker 1: but because they were loyal, but because they were wrapped
29:14
Speaker 1: around his little finger and they were willing to lie
29:16
Speaker 1: for him. That is why they got that money, basically
29:19
Speaker 1: hazard pay. And the fact that Indyke was in charge
29:22
Speaker 1: of doling out dough like that, basically hush money. That's
29:26
Speaker 1: not a problem with anybody. The federal government doesn't have
29:28
Speaker 1: a problem with that. What's Maureen Comey doing right now?
29:31
Speaker 1: sipping some tea with her dad up in Westchester County?
29:36
Speaker 1: Is anybody chasing down the co-conspirators? in this case? Or what?
29:42
Speaker 1: We just forgot about everything? Moving on? What's the deal, SDNY?
29:49
Speaker 1: An alleged Epstein survivor claims in a lawsuit against the
29:52
Speaker 1: estate that Epstein's longtime New York attorney arranged the legal
29:56
Speaker 1: paperwork for her sham marriage in 2013 to another Epstein
30:01
Speaker 1: survivor who was not a U.S. citizen. The suit does
30:04
Speaker 1: not identify the attorney. Well, we know who the attorney was, okay?
30:08
Speaker 1: We know that Dershowitz isn't handling things like that. For
30:10
Speaker 1: all of Dershowitz's faults, we know that he's a high-powered
30:13
Speaker 1: trial attorney. He's not going to be sitting around handling paperwork.
30:17
Speaker 1: So we can forget about that. There is no chance
30:20
Speaker 1: that's happening. Obviously, it's Darren Indyke. It is obviously Darren Indyke.
30:29
Speaker 1: What you're describing is a conflict of interest, probate attorney
30:32
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Weinstein said. He can't be representative of the estate
30:36
Speaker 1: if he's a witness to charges that may affect the
30:38
Speaker 1: estate financially. Yeah, no shit. I'm glad somebody else is
30:41
Speaker 1: finally saying it. I'm just, you know, a regular average
30:44
Speaker 1: guy and I've been chirping about this for how long?
30:46
Speaker 1: And now we're starting to hear it in the legacy
30:49
Speaker 1: media finally? I mean, come on, catch up, folks. The
30:53
Speaker 1: Daily News exclusively reported in March that Epstein's Eastern European
30:56
Speaker 1: girlfriend at the time of his death, Corinna Shulak, married
31:00
Speaker 1: an Epstein survivor in 2013 and finalized a divorce after
31:05
Speaker 1: his arrest. Shulak and the woman divorced in July 2019,
31:08
Speaker 1: shortly after the pervert was arrested. We've seen this several
31:11
Speaker 1: times from Epstein. maneuvering, finding ways to keep people in
31:19
Speaker 1: this country, finding ways to get people into this country.
31:22
Speaker 1: And once they're in this country, keeping them under his thumb.
31:26
Speaker 1: Over and over again, we've seen this behavior. And you
31:30
Speaker 1: know what is so weird and so odd? That Darren
31:35
Speaker 1: Indyk seems to be involved in all of it. Epstein
31:39
Speaker 1: appears to have been Indyk's client for his entire career,
31:42
Speaker 1: according to an August 2009 Yahoo Finance article. Indyk's name
31:47
Speaker 1: appears on documents linked to Epstein's charities, properties, investments, and
31:51
Speaker 1: business dealings. All of that alone is enough to have
31:54
Speaker 1: this man taken off of this case. He should be
31:57
Speaker 1: nowhere near this, he should be worried about his own defense,
32:00
Speaker 1: and he should be fighting RICO charges at this point.
32:04
Speaker 1: Epstein filed his will in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The
32:07
Speaker 1: estate is seeking court approval there from an independent claims
32:11
Speaker 1: program that would allow victims to receive compensation from the
32:15
Speaker 1: pervert's abuse and keep their cases out of court. Approval
32:19
Speaker 1: of the program has been tied up in court due
32:21
Speaker 1: to the opposition of the Virgin Islands Attorney General. In
32:24
Speaker 1: the meantime, survivors' lawsuits against the Epstein estate are proceeding
32:28
Speaker 1: into a phase in which both sides exchange evidence. Yeah,
32:33
Speaker 1: I don't think the... I don't think the estate is
32:35
Speaker 1: going to like the evidence that gets brought to them
32:37
Speaker 1: because Indyke is certainly going to be named within this evidence.
32:41
Speaker 1: I mean, in my opinion, anyway, he has to be right.
32:43
Speaker 1: He was such a huge factor in all of this
32:46
Speaker 1: that it would be impossible to keep him out of that.
32:51
Speaker 1: Emails to Indyke's criminal defense attorney and attorney for the
32:54
Speaker 1: estate were not returned. Isn't that odd? We never get
33:00
Speaker 1: anything returned from these people when they're asked, right? They
33:03
Speaker 1: never have anything to say. Mum's the word. We didn't
33:06
Speaker 1: do anything. Look, it's a joke that Darren Indyk is
33:09
Speaker 1: involved with this estate. It's a joke that nobody has
33:13
Speaker 1: stepped up and removed him. And it's really a joke
33:16
Speaker 1: that he thinks that people are going to believe that
33:19
Speaker 1: he is some sort of moral participant in releasing funds
33:23
Speaker 1: to people that he took a part in helping be abused.
33:29
Speaker 1: In my opinion, Darren Indyk is one of the biggest
33:33
Speaker 1: parts of this whole entire operation and somebody who must
33:39
Speaker 1: be scrutinized further. If you'd like to contact me, you
33:43
Speaker 1: can do that at bobbycappucci at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com.
33:51
Speaker 1: You can also find me on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I.
33:58
Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
34:01
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. What the congressional depositions of Darren Indyke, Richard Kahn,
34:07
Speaker 1: and Les Wexner have exposed is not just a failure
34:11
Speaker 1: of execution, but a blueprint of avoidance that was baked
34:15
Speaker 1: into the Epstein investigation from day one. These aren't peripheral
34:20
Speaker 1: names pulled from the edges of the case file. These
34:24
Speaker 1: are structural beams that held Epstein's world together. Indy controlled
34:29
Speaker 1: the legal scaffolding, Kahn monitored the financial bloodstream, and Wexner
34:33
Speaker 1: supplied the capital and credibility that allowed Epstein to operate
34:37
Speaker 1: at scale. When those individuals are absent from the original
34:41
Speaker 1: investigative record, you're not looking at an incomplete case. You're
34:46
Speaker 1: looking at a case that was deliberately hollowed out. Investigators
34:50
Speaker 1: did not miss them because they were obscure. They missed
34:53
Speaker 1: them because acknowledging their importance would have forced the case
34:56
Speaker 1: into territory that could not be easily contained. And that's
35:01
Speaker 1: the distinction that matters here. This wasn't a matter of oversight.
35:05
Speaker 1: It was a matter of direction. The investigation was steered
35:08
Speaker 1: away from the very people who could have exposed its
35:10
Speaker 1: full scope. And once you understand that, everything else about
35:14
Speaker 1: the outcome starts to make a lot more sense. Now
35:19
Speaker 1: let's start with Indyk because his role alone should have
35:22
Speaker 1: triggered immediate and aggressive scrutiny. This is a man who
35:25
Speaker 1: who didn't just represent Epstein in a conventional legal sense.
35:29
Speaker 1: He helped design the machinery that allowed Epstein to move money,
35:33
Speaker 1: control assets, and insulate himself from exposure. He was named
35:38
Speaker 1: executor of Epstein's estate, which tells you how deeply embedded
35:41
Speaker 1: he was in Epstein's trust structure. That kind of proximity
35:46
Speaker 1: is not passive. It's operational. And any serious investigation into
35:51
Speaker 1: financial crimes would have treated Indyk as a primary source
35:54
Speaker 1: of truth not a background character. His billing records, his communication,
36:00
Speaker 1: and his involvement in trust formation would have been dissected
36:04
Speaker 1: line by line. Instead, he was effectively left untouched during
36:08
Speaker 1: the initial investigation. It's not how competent prosecutors operate when
36:12
Speaker 1: they're trying to dismantle a network. That's how prosecutors operate
36:16
Speaker 1: when they're trying to avoid triggering one. You don't ignore
36:20
Speaker 1: the architecture unless you're trying to keep the building standing.
36:23
Speaker 1: And in this case, the building was Epstein's entire financial
36:28
Speaker 1: and legal ecosystem. Then you have Richard Kahn, who represents
36:32
Speaker 1: the cleanest, most objective path to understanding Epstein's operations, and
36:36
Speaker 1: yet he was bypassed as well. Accountants don't deal in narratives,
36:40
Speaker 1: they deal in numbers. And numbers create patterns that are
36:43
Speaker 1: extremely difficult to disguise over time. Kahn would have had
36:47
Speaker 1: visibility into how money was routed, where it originated, and
36:51
Speaker 1: how it was distributed. he would have known about shell companies,
36:55
Speaker 1: offshore accounts, and any unusual financial behavior that deviated from
36:59
Speaker 1: standard practice. In cases involving trafficking, exploitation, or organized activity,
37:07
Speaker 1: financial patterns often reveal the operational backbone of the enterprise.
37:12
Speaker 1: That's why accountants are routinely treated as critical witnesses or subjects.
37:18
Speaker 1: Ignoring Kahn effectively removed the financial dimension from the investigation
37:23
Speaker 1: which is the equivalent of investigating organized crime without looking
37:27
Speaker 1: at cash flow. And look, it's not a mistake. It's
37:32
Speaker 1: a decision. And the decision is to avoid creating a
37:35
Speaker 1: paper trail that leads to uncomfortable conclusions. And without that
37:39
Speaker 1: paper trail, the case becomes easier to shrink, simplify, and
37:43
Speaker 1: ultimately resolve without broader implications. Then, of course, we get
37:48
Speaker 1: to Les Wexner. And that's where the entire thing becomes
37:51
Speaker 1: impossible to explain away as anything other than intentional. Wexner
37:56
Speaker 1: was not just another wealthy associate who happened to cross
37:59
Speaker 1: paths with Epstein. He was the origin point of Epstein's
38:03
Speaker 1: transformation from a relatively unknown figure into someone with access
38:07
Speaker 1: to enormous wealth and elite social circles. The granting of
38:11
Speaker 1: power of attorney alone should have triggered immediate investigative interest
38:16
Speaker 1: because that level of control over a billionaire's finances is
38:20
Speaker 1: extraordinarily rare. It raises obvious questions about what Epstein was doing,
38:24
Speaker 1: what he knew, and what services he was providing. Those
38:29
Speaker 1: questions go directly to the heart of how Epstein built
38:32
Speaker 1: his network. Yet Wexner was never meaningfully pressed during the
38:36
Speaker 1: original investigation. You can't claim to investigate the rise of
38:42
Speaker 1: a figure like Epstein while ignoring the individual most responsible
38:46
Speaker 1: for enabling that rise. It would be like investigating a
38:50
Speaker 1: corporate fraud without questioning the CEO who signed off on
38:54
Speaker 1: the transactions. The absence of Wexner from the investigative process
38:59
Speaker 1: ensured that the origin story of Epstein's power remained untouched.
39:04
Speaker 1: And when you step back and you look at these
39:06
Speaker 1: omissions collectively, the pattern becomes impossible to ignore. The investigation
39:11
Speaker 1: consistently avoided individuals who had the capacity to expand the
39:15
Speaker 1: scope of the case beyond a manageable narrative. It didn't
39:19
Speaker 1: chase the network outward. Instead, it circled tightly around a
39:23
Speaker 1: limited set of facts that could be prosecuted without disrupting
39:27
Speaker 1: larger systems. And that's not how organic investigations evolve. Organic
39:32
Speaker 1: investigations expand as new information emerges. They follow leads even
39:38
Speaker 1: when those leads are inconvenient or politically sensitive. This investigation
39:44
Speaker 1: did the opposite. It contracted. It stayed within boundaries that
39:48
Speaker 1: appear to have been set early on. And those boundaries
39:51
Speaker 1: conveniently excluded the people who could have forced the case
39:55
Speaker 1: into a much broader and more complex direction. And the
39:58
Speaker 1: plea agreement that ultimately resolved the original case didn't come
40:02
Speaker 1: out of nowhere. It was the natural endpoint of an
40:05
Speaker 1: investigation that had already been stripped of its most consequential elements.
40:11
Speaker 1: By the time prosecutors sat down to negotiate, They were
40:14
Speaker 1: operating within a framework that had been carefully limited. They
40:17
Speaker 1: weren't negotiating from a position of full knowledge. They were
40:21
Speaker 1: negotiating from a position that had been shaped by what
40:24
Speaker 1: they chose not to pursue. And that distinction matters because
40:28
Speaker 1: it explains how such a lenient outcome could be justified internally.
40:33
Speaker 1: If you remove the network, if you ignore the financial architecture,
40:37
Speaker 1: and if you avoid the origin points of power, what
40:40
Speaker 1: you are left with is a much smaller case. And
40:43
Speaker 1: smaller cases are easier to resolve quietly. The plea deal
40:47
Speaker 1: was not an aberration. It was the logical conclusion of
40:51
Speaker 1: an investigation that had been narrowed to the point of containment.
40:56
Speaker 1: And there's a tendency to attribute failures like this to
40:59
Speaker 1: incompetence because incompetence is easier to accept than intent. But
41:03
Speaker 1: incompetence doesn't explain the consistency of the omissions. It doesn't
41:08
Speaker 1: explain why the same categories of individuals were bypassed. It
41:12
Speaker 1: doesn't explain why financial analysis was so limited in a
41:16
Speaker 1: case that should have been driven by financial evidence. Prosecutors
41:22
Speaker 1: and investigators are trained to identify key players. They're trained
41:26
Speaker 1: to follow the money. They're trained to build cases that
41:29
Speaker 1: reflect the full scope of criminal activity. When those fundamentals
41:33
Speaker 1: are absent, you have to ask yourself why. And the
41:37
Speaker 1: answer cannot simply be that people forgot how to do
41:40
Speaker 1: their jobs. The more plausible explanation is that they were
41:43
Speaker 1: operating under constraints, whether explicit or implicit, that shaped their decision-making.
41:50
Speaker 1: And those constraints may not be documented in a single memo,
41:53
Speaker 1: but they're evident in the outcome. The congressional depositions now
41:57
Speaker 1: happening are, in many ways, are an attempt to retroactively
42:01
Speaker 1: fill in the gaps that were left by the original investigation.
42:04
Speaker 1: But they also highlight how much has been lost by
42:07
Speaker 1: not pursuing these lines of inquiry in real time. Witnesses
42:11
Speaker 1: have had years to refine their recollections. Documents may no
42:14
Speaker 1: longer be readily accessible. Context that would have been clear
42:18
Speaker 1: at the time has faded. Depositions can surface information, but
42:23
Speaker 1: they can't fully recreate the conditions of an active investigation.
42:27
Speaker 1: And that means that the current effort is inherently limited
42:30
Speaker 1: by the decisions that were made years ago. It's an
42:33
Speaker 1: attempt to reconstruct a case that was never allowed to
42:37
Speaker 1: fully exist. And while that effort is valuable... it also
42:40
Speaker 1: underscores the magnitude of the original failure. One of the
42:44
Speaker 1: most damaging consequences of this narrowed investigation is the way
42:49
Speaker 1: it has shaped public understanding of Epstein's operation. By focusing
42:53
Speaker 1: on a limited set of facts and ignoring the broader network,
42:57
Speaker 1: the case was effectively reduced to a story about an
43:00
Speaker 1: individual rather than a system. And that framing allows for
43:04
Speaker 1: a certain level of denial and minimization. It allows people
43:08
Speaker 1: to argue that Epstein was an outlier, a single bad actor,
43:12
Speaker 1: rather than a node with a larger structure. But that
43:15
Speaker 1: argument only holds if you ignore the very individuals who
43:19
Speaker 1: connected him to that structure. Indyk, Kahn, and Wexner are
43:22
Speaker 1: not peripheral to the story. They're central to it. Their
43:26
Speaker 1: absence from the original investigation created a vacuum that has
43:30
Speaker 1: been filled with incomplete narratives. And those narratives have persisted precisely...
43:35
Speaker 1: because the underlying evidence was never fully developed. And what
43:39
Speaker 1: makes this even more difficult to ignore is the fact
43:42
Speaker 1: that the tools to conduct a proper investigation were readily available.
43:46
Speaker 1: Subpoena power existed, financial records could have been obtained, witnesses
43:51
Speaker 1: could have been compelled to testify. There were no insurmountable
43:55
Speaker 1: legal barriers preventing investigators from pursuing indict Kahn or Wexner.
44:01
Speaker 1: The barriers were not procedural. There were practical decisions about
44:05
Speaker 1: where to focus time and energy, and those decisions consistently
44:09
Speaker 1: pointed away from the most consequential avenues of inquiry. That's
44:14
Speaker 1: where the argument for design becomes unavoidable. When the tools
44:18
Speaker 1: are available and the targets are obvious, but the action
44:21
Speaker 1: is absent, the explanation lies in the choices that were made,
44:26
Speaker 1: not in the limitations that existed. The idea that this
44:30
Speaker 1: level of investigative narrowing could occur without any awareness of
44:34
Speaker 1: its consequences is very difficult to accept. Investigators understand the
44:39
Speaker 1: implications of not following leads. Prosecutors understand the risk of
44:44
Speaker 1: building a case on an incomplete foundation. These aren't abstract concepts.
44:49
Speaker 1: They're part of the professional training and experience that these
44:52
Speaker 1: individuals are supposed to bring to their roles. When those
44:56
Speaker 1: principles are not applied... It's not because they're unknown. It's
45:00
Speaker 1: because they're being set aside. And when they're set aside,
45:03
Speaker 1: in a case of this magnitude, it raises serious questions
45:07
Speaker 1: about why. And the fallout from these decisions is not
45:10
Speaker 1: confined to the Epstein case itself. It has broader implications
45:15
Speaker 1: for how the justice system is perceived. When people see
45:18
Speaker 1: that key figures were never questioned, it creates the impression
45:22
Speaker 1: that certain individuals are insulated from scrutiny. That impression is
45:26
Speaker 1: reinforced when those individuals continue to operate within elite circles
45:31
Speaker 1: without facing any meaningful consequence, it feeds into a narrative
45:36
Speaker 1: that the system is selective in its enforcement. And whether
45:40
Speaker 1: or not that narrative is entirely accurate, the perception alone
45:44
Speaker 1: is damaging. It undermines confidence in the idea that justice
45:48
Speaker 1: is applied evenly. It suggests that outcomes can be influenced
45:52
Speaker 1: by factors that have nothing to do with the facts
45:55
Speaker 1: of the case. And the denials about what Epstein was
45:59
Speaker 1: and how he operated are sustained in part because the
46:01
Speaker 1: investigation never forced a full accounting. Without that accounting, there
46:06
Speaker 1: is always room for ambiguity. There is always room to
46:10
Speaker 1: argue that the situation was less extensive than it appeared.
46:14
Speaker 1: There is always room to deflect attention away from the
46:17
Speaker 1: broader network. That ambiguity is not accidental. It's a byproduct
46:22
Speaker 1: of an investigation that did not fully engage with the
46:25
Speaker 1: available evidence. And as long as that ambiguity exists, the
46:29
Speaker 1: true scope of the case remains obscured. At this point,
46:33
Speaker 1: the question is not whether the original investigation was flawed.
46:36
Speaker 1: That's evident. The question is whether there's any meaningful path
46:41
Speaker 1: to correcting those flaws. Congressional depositions are a step, but
46:45
Speaker 1: they're not a substitute for a comprehensive, investigative process. They
46:50
Speaker 1: can highlight inconsistencies, expose gaps, and generate new lines of
46:54
Speaker 1: inquiry that but they can't fully replace what was lost.
46:57
Speaker 1: That means any effort to revisit the case must be
47:00
Speaker 1: willing to go beyond surface-level examination. It must be willing
47:04
Speaker 1: to pursue the same individuals who were previously ignored. It
47:08
Speaker 1: must be willing to follow the money and map the
47:11
Speaker 1: network in a way that was not done before. Without
47:14
Speaker 1: that level of commitment, the current efforts risk becoming another
47:18
Speaker 1: incomplete chapter in a case defined by incompleteness. And when
47:23
Speaker 1: you look at it through that lens, the conclusion becomes
47:26
Speaker 1: difficult to avoid. The investigation was not simply inadequate. It
47:31
Speaker 1: was constructed in a way that ensured it would never
47:34
Speaker 1: reach the depths it needed to reach. It avoided the
47:37
Speaker 1: people who mattered most. It sidestepped the evidence that could
47:41
Speaker 1: have broadened the case. It settled for a version of
47:44
Speaker 1: events that was easier to manage. And that's not how
47:47
Speaker 1: justice is supposed to work. And until that reality is
47:51
Speaker 1: fully confronted, The Epstein case will remain less a resolved
47:55
Speaker 1: matter and more a case study in how investigations can
47:59
Speaker 1: be shaped to produce limited outcomes. All the information that
