Operation Rescue from the Heat
As Tucson swelters, the Gospel Rescue Mission launches “Operation Rescue from the Heat” — a full-service lifeline offering cool shelter, three meals a day, showers, clean clothes, housing aid, and job training for unhoused residents. Since launching in late May, the program has served over 11,000 meals and distributed 14,000 essentials through 69 outreach events, mobile units rolling into parks and neighborhoods.
