- 0:00SPEAKER_00: What's news?
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: Well, sometimes when you call them on the other line.
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: Does that ever happen?
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: When you when you're talking to one person that somebody else calls, isn't that crazy?
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: That is crazy.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: Uh I'm cleaning my studio.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: It's not, it's pretty, it's gotten it's gotten pretty dusty, pretty bad, a lot of a lot of junk everywhere, but I'm getting it tidied up so I can get in here and work again.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: What are you doing?
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: I'm walking to the to the track to do some jogging.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Hey, let's talk sandwiches.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: So PBJ, okay.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: So what are some other sandwiches that you like that you think um you know people should know about?
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: Like here's Well, I'm not big on sandwiches, honestly.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: I'm not a big sandwich guy because I mean I I don't know.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: I don't usually eat mayonnaise, that's a big thing with sandwiches.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: Mustard, I'm not really big on mustard, that's a big thing with sandwiches.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: But I can tell you what I had for lunch today, which was my kids left some turkey.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: So I made a grilled cheese with turkey and apple and pepper.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: And it was delicious.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: Pepper, like like salt and pepper, pepper, or pepper.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, pepper goes good with cheese and apple and turkey.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: It's just you know, I just a lot of pepper.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: No mayo.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: No, because the the bread is buttered, and then it's and then it's grilled.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: It's like a grilled cheese, grilled turkey cheese.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: It was good, it was really good.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: Apple's nice.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: I wanted a little jam, like a little, a little bright jam, like a little raspberry, or a little uh I don't know.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: I I feel like it needed a little bacon jam or a little something.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't have thought apple in a sandwich like that.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: But it makes real thin apple, apple, real thinly sliced with the cheese, apple and cheese and turkey.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: It's yummy.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: Ooh.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: You know what my my wife grew up with liking peanut butter and cheddar cheese.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: Oh, I haven't heard of that one.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I thought that was weird.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: You know, my my kind of go-to sandwich that I invented, I created it.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: Um it used to not be a thing, but then I invented it out of thin air.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: Um, I know what you're gonna say.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: You do?
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I do.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: You're gonna say what everyone else says when I describe the sandwich.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: You're gonna say that's a cheese sandwich.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Nay nay.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: So a pickle sandwich is bread, whether it's toasted or not, doesn't matter.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: Mayo, a little bit of mustard.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: I'm not a big mustard guy, but mayo, a little bit of mustard.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Then cheese.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: Pick your cheese, lettuce, onion, and then pickles.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: Now, I know you're thinking it's a cheese sandwich with with some, you know, with some stuff on it.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: No, it's a pickle sandwich.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: Sounds like pickles the main flavor in there.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: And and for me, it's bread and butter pickles, for sure.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: Absolutely without doubt.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Bread and butter pickles.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: And when you eat it, when you eat that sandwich, you realize, A, yes, Steve is right.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: This is a pickle sandwich.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: I never heard of a pickle sandwich.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: He must have invented it.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: And and you would be right.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: Um, and B- And you feel that's an underappreciated sandwich?
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: I think it's a sub it's a surprise.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: It's unknown even.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: Like, what?
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: There's no pickles are the main thing.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: It's a pickle sandwich.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: People like pickles, a lot of people do.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: And I think people should run with that and create a whole restaurant based around the pickle sandwich.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: Now they can't say like originated in Florida or wherever else.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: It's gotta be originated in Ohio, California.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: And then I I give permission to any restaurateurs out there who are looking for something new, something unique, to use the the pickle sandwich that I just described as your baseline.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: I I you don't have to pay me any residuals.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: You just have it just has to say originated in Ohio, California.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: Then then this is my legal, you know, release of that invention that I invented from scratch out of nowhere.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: In my head, in my brains.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: So yeah, that's you have powerful brains.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: And just think that happened right now on this podcast on Live TV.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: The world now knows of the magic of the pickle sandwich and where where it was created.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: I don't even necessarily care that people know who created it, but that it was created in the hippie town of Oi, California.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: So there you go.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: God, what will you but but it but it needs a better name?
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: No, it doesn't.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: Pickle sandwich.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's good enough?
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: Well, it's what it is.
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: What what else would it be?
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: The OHI Pickle Pickle.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: Huh?
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: Pickle.
- 5:56SPEAKER_01: Pickle, Sando.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: It needs a maybe.
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: I saw you could give a sub like a cute name, like a brand branded a little bit.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: Well, that's your thing.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Maybe you can come up with a logo and everything.
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: And then maybe they have to license that from you.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: Like that's okay.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: You can I give you permission.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: I give you permission to make money off of my idea that I invented out of nothing.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: That nep that didn't exist before that until I created it.
- 6:22SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: Nobody thought about it.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: Nobody ever thought about it.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: Some people made cheese sandwiches that maybe had.
- 6:31SPEAKER_01: Do they put turkey in a cheese sandwich?
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: Isn't that a grilled cheese?
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there you go.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: See?
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: And maybe they had grilled cheese, but then have it done have lettuce.
- 6:37SPEAKER_01: There's no lettuce in a grilled cheese.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: Well, I don't know.
- 6:40SPEAKER_01: Lettuce in a cheese sandwich.
- 6:41SPEAKER_01: Is there?
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: I don't understand it.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: I didn't even know.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: I never heard of a cheese sandwich.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, grilled cheese.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: That's what they said.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 6:49SPEAKER_01: I like it.
- 6:50SPEAKER_01: I mean, of course, I want I I I meant to put a tomato in there too, which I love in a nice.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, you can put tomato in the you can put tomato in the pickle sandwich, but you don't need to because it already has the thing.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: And it's nice when the when the because the pickles are are you know kind of crisp and snappy, and it's nice when the lettuce is like crunchy.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: Snappy.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: Snappy.
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: You like iceberg in there?
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: I'll do any kind, but it needs to be fresh.
- 7:17SPEAKER_01: It's got to be not old wilted stuff like that.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: So we just we this this is this is new.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: This is this is a thing that now people know.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: Right, but not like it's not like the problem we have is that we need everybody in the world to know, and we that it's not, and that hasn't happened yet.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: Like we have like two people that know, and they may not like I don't eat pickles.
- 7:46SPEAKER_01: I don't eat pickles, so that doesn't help me.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: Well, but you can you can uh educate other people when they're looking around for like what do I what can I make?
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: You can go, oh, you can make a pickle sandwich.
