- 1:10Speaker 1: I eat it to a wonderful ninety five.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Ninety five. That's hot.
- 1:16Speaker 1: That's not a hot tub. That is far. You see
- 1:18Speaker 1: how the black people are like, lovely, all the white
- 1:22Speaker 1: people are like, that's too hot. I turned red and
- 1:26Speaker 1: water like that.
- 1:27Speaker 4: You you got some blood, It just gets to the
- 1:30Speaker 4: front of the skin.
- 1:31Speaker 1: You can see it.
- 1:33Speaker 2: You got some spoiled ass kids swimming in a ninety
- 1:36Speaker 2: five degree pool.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I had to tell you this, bro, but you're right
- 1:40Speaker 1: because my wife said the exact same thing. She was like, Yo, listen,
- 1:44Speaker 1: when I was a kid, the temperature was the temperature. Yeah,
- 1:50Speaker 1: and we got in that ship. That's just how it was.
- 1:53Speaker 1: And I can I can attest.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Your kids are gonna test and your kids are like,
- 1:57Speaker 2: it's not heated.
- 1:58Speaker 1: That's me too, though.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:00Speaker 1: I get it hard for the money, y'all keep it
- 2:02Speaker 1: one hundred.
- 2:03Speaker 2: I hate my pool too, but not the ninety five.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I work hard for the money. So you better treat
- 2:08Speaker 1: a nigga right.
- 2:11Speaker 2: The money for the money, so you better treat a
- 2:19Speaker 2: nigga right, I'm excited for a Christmas party, Don't get
- 2:22Speaker 2: me wrong. It's gonna be everyone we know and love
- 2:25Speaker 2: is going to be there. Everyone.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Are you excited for?
- 2:30Speaker 2: Sarah chalk Call texted me. She's like, Christmas present is
- 2:35Speaker 2: not going to be here in Canada on time? Is
- 2:38Speaker 2: there a way I could send the present to your
- 2:40Speaker 2: house so it will arrive on you know? All flabbergasted?
- 2:44Speaker 1: What are you bringing for? What are you getting Christmas?
- 2:46Speaker 2: I didn't figure out a present for you? Have you?
- 2:48Speaker 1: It's hard, man, It's hard pretty much everything well.
- 2:51Speaker 2: You can't think of like a monetary thing because she
- 2:53Speaker 2: don't need that. It's you have to think about something sentimental.
- 2:59Speaker 2: I was gonna have a pick sure of her blown
- 3:00Speaker 2: up because she loves that. But I don't know. I've
- 3:05Speaker 2: done that so many times. You guys have any ideas too? Well,
- 3:09Speaker 2: you're thoughtful man.
- 3:11Speaker 5: Ladies in my life, I look like I'm always getting
- 3:13Speaker 5: them spot packages.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Spot package is good.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Does she like to ride horses?
- 3:18Speaker 2: She does? She she does like horses. You want to
- 3:20Speaker 2: get her a horse? You want to puit a horse?
- 3:22Speaker 6: Me?
- 3:22Speaker 1: How much would a horse cost?
- 3:24Speaker 5: Us?
- 3:25Speaker 2: Horses cost of you know, any range? It's like a car.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Can get Can we get it? Can we get a thoroughbread?
- 3:32Speaker 2: Well, that's going to be very expensive. I think that's
- 3:34Speaker 2: like a quarter million dollars for a thoroughbread. Oh well,
- 3:38Speaker 2: I'm just pulling that out of my bread. I'm pulling
- 3:40Speaker 2: that out of my butt. Though, I don't really know
- 3:41Speaker 2: the thoroughbed prices.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Because then she could enter it in races and all thought.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Hey, it's a thoughtful idea. So you're suggesting we buy
- 3:50Speaker 2: her a thoroughbed, and we'll also need the trainers and
- 3:53Speaker 2: the and all the staff, the jockey, and then we
- 3:56Speaker 2: need a jockey, or maybe one of your kids could
- 4:00Speaker 2: the jockey.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Because they're light, they're very they're very they're very light.
- 4:04Speaker 5: According to the Internet, a thoroughbread costs between one hundred
- 4:07Speaker 5: and three hundred thousand dollars to purchase and forty five
- 4:09Speaker 5: thousand dollars a year in expenses.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Okay, well it's a very thoughtful gift, Donald. But here's
- 4:15Speaker 2: the thing. If it were to win prize money, we
- 4:18Speaker 2: could tell her that here's the thing, we're spending so
- 4:20Speaker 2: much money on this horse. Donald and I get to
- 4:23Speaker 2: split the prize money.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Yeah right, I mean, that's only fair, isn't it.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Yeah, so you're willing to lay out two fifty and.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Then we get some of that money back, So we
- 4:34Speaker 1: get the money all back.
- 4:36Speaker 2: So wait, let me just I want to. I want to.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I want to get the plan. We get a horse there,
- 4:40Speaker 2: we're gonna get her a thoroughbread and then we're gonna
- 4:42Speaker 2: need to spend forty five a year, Joelle says, training
- 4:47Speaker 2: and taking care of it. And then we.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Get a baby one, so it can we can we
- 4:52Speaker 1: can do the proper things that are needed for that
- 4:55Speaker 1: thing to be.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Like, uh, yeah, we'll probably get a discount if it's
- 4:59Speaker 2: a baby.
- 5:00Speaker 5: Yeah right, yeah, I know, I think I think reading
- 5:03Speaker 5: right out the gate, it's a hundred thousand, three hundred
- 5:06Speaker 5: thousand dollars.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Because we need to be able to we need to
- 5:08Speaker 1: be able to mud this bad boy. We need to
- 5:10Speaker 1: be able to track this bad boy all these things
- 5:12Speaker 1: down from here.
- 5:13Speaker 2: And also maybe it can do yeah well maybe Also
- 5:16Speaker 2: if we're gonna spend that much money, you could do
- 5:17Speaker 2: chores around our yard, you know, like pull pull on yeah,
- 5:22Speaker 2: like help help yeah, helpful, helpful. It could it could
- 5:26Speaker 2: chew our.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Grass, maybe help plow.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Yeah, plow if we're doing any that.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I don't know how much.
- 5:34Speaker 2: I don't know how much plowing you're doing. But we
- 5:35Speaker 2: would have a very nice horse to do the plowing.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Yes, not only a very nice horse. I don't know
- 5:41Speaker 1: if it's equipped properly to do I don't think the
- 5:43Speaker 1: legs are strong. I think it's just equipped to run, right.
- 5:46Speaker 2: It might not be. It might be a waste of
- 5:48Speaker 2: our money to borrow buy a thoroughbread for plowing. I
- 5:51Speaker 2: think you can get a plow horse for way Teaber.
- 5:53Speaker 2: But Christa doesn't want a plow horse.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I don't think she wants a plow horse, although she
- 5:58Speaker 1: can name a Daisy because you know they have the
- 6:00Speaker 1: long mane and the big, big Budweiser legs and ship
- 6:04Speaker 1: like that.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Oh that's a Clydes deal with Budweiser legs, all right.
- 6:09Speaker 2: I like this plan. We've solved it. We were getting
- 6:10Speaker 2: Chrystal two hundred and fifty thousand bread horse. She would
- 6:17Speaker 2: love it. She would love it, by the way, Hell yeah,
- 6:21Speaker 2: she would love it. And we would have so much fun.
- 6:22Speaker 2: We could go to the track, you and me and
- 6:24Speaker 2: bet on it.
- 6:25Speaker 1: We could dress up in nice seersucker suits with are.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Allowed to bet on our own horse. Are you allowed
- 6:30Speaker 2: to bet on our own horse?
- 6:31Speaker 1: Hell yeah, that's how these motherfuckers get paid.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Dude, Okay, well we're gonna bet on our horse, well,
- 6:35Speaker 2: Christa's horse.
- 6:37Speaker 1: These things. You got to be allowed to bet on
- 6:39Speaker 1: your own horse. There's no way the.
- 6:40Speaker 5: Gaming Commission will allow you to bet on your against
- 6:44Speaker 5: you in the race.
- 6:45Speaker 1: You can't.
- 6:46Speaker 2: I thought that was the whole point. You can't bet
- 6:48Speaker 2: on your own horse.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I don't.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Yeah, you gotta be able to bet on your own horse.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Is it just is it just prize money that you get.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Is that the idea? Well, I'm going to bet on
- 6:55Speaker 2: Christal's Like you lose the right to bet, but you
- 6:57Speaker 2: get prize money.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Maybe. Well it wouldn't be our horse, it would be
- 7:00Speaker 1: Christmas horse.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it's Chris is going to have the documents. You're
- 7:03Speaker 2: friend of the horse.
- 7:05Speaker 5: If you're in a horse race, you can't bet it
- 7:08Speaker 5: across the board. So you can't bet on any horse
- 7:10Speaker 5: in the race. If you're actively I can bet.
- 7:13Speaker 2: On Chris, I can bet on christas horse.
- 7:15Speaker 1: We're not in the race.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I'm gonna bet on Christa's horse. Speaking of sports, Donald,
- 7:21Speaker 2: I've been watching the Rangers, and uh, it's really fun.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Have they won any game that you've been at you're.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Dick A and B. They won in Florida.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Were you at the game? No, I was not in Florida.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Yeah, so you're positing that I am bad luck for
- 7:38Speaker 2: the Rangers.
- 7:39Speaker 1: You're bad luck for New York sports because you're B.
- 7:42Speaker 2: You're a dick straight up. I finally like a sport
- 7:45Speaker 2: or two, and you got to come with the bad
- 7:48Speaker 2: luck until you shake.
- 7:51Speaker 1: The bad luck. Man, you are the fucking you are.
- 7:54Speaker 1: You are the cooler for all.
- 7:57Speaker 2: They got another game tonight in Florida.
- 8:01Speaker 1: That's good. That's good. That's good.
- 8:05Speaker 2: It's really fun once you get once you get invested,
- 8:08Speaker 2: I get it. I get it now, guys. It's like
- 8:10Speaker 2: forty nine years, but I get it. Once you get invested,
- 8:12Speaker 2: it's fun. I don't know that I would be well,
- 8:14Speaker 2: I don't know that I would want to watch like
- 8:16Speaker 2: regular season that it's to me, it's really fun when
- 8:19Speaker 2: it's like, holy shit, they could win, it's all on
- 8:21Speaker 2: the line. It's so exciting. And also, going, I gotta say,
- 8:24Speaker 2: is a big difference.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely, going to the game is way different than
- 8:27Speaker 1: watching it.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I mean, you know, because you said that last week.
- 8:29Speaker 2: You said hockey games live are really fun.
- 8:32Speaker 1: You can see the puck.
- 8:34Speaker 2: You can see the puck.
- 8:36Speaker 1: How do we get into the show now that we're
- 8:37Speaker 1: not watching a show?
- 8:39Speaker 2: Now, Well, we're gonna have a guest. I have six
- 8:41Speaker 2: seven eight, Yeah, we do, we have a guest.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Is the theme song still going to be the same.
- 8:48Speaker 2: We haven't changed the theme song. Donald, There's still gonna
- 8:51Speaker 2: be some stories about a show we made.
- 8:54Speaker 1: That's true, about a bunch of docs and nurses and
- 8:57Speaker 1: a janitor who loves to hate.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Speaking of a janitor who loves to hate, Donald and
- 9:02Speaker 2: I are going to be on a charity version of
- 9:07Speaker 2: Who Wants to Be a Millionaire with Jimmy Kimmel.
- 9:10Speaker 1: It's not a charity version. It's a celebrity version, bro.
- 9:13Speaker 1: And the money goes to charity.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Well, what's the difference, That's what I was saying.
- 9:17Speaker 1: A charity version sounds like it's done in like a
- 9:20Speaker 1: community center, Jim.
- 9:23Speaker 2: It's who wants to It's who Wants to be a Millionaire?
- 9:27Speaker 2: And uh and and and Donald and I are on together,
- 9:32Speaker 2: and our money will go to charity if we win,
- 9:37Speaker 2: I mean.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Get the alligated question again.
- 9:42Speaker 2: I know, I don't. The problem with you and I
- 9:44Speaker 2: on Celebrity Millionaire is we don't really know anything.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Well. I know that an alligator can climb a fence.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think that's going to come up on
- 9:52Speaker 2: our second Celebrity for Charity game show experience.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Yeah, and that was a hype of medical question too.
- 10:01Speaker 2: So like, but bro, we don't. I'm not just being
- 10:04Speaker 2: self deprecating. We don't really know.
- 10:07Speaker 1: No, we don't. I don't. I'm like half the ship
- 10:10Speaker 1: I talked to you guys about. I'm making up as I'm.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Going I know, but I feel like you could do
- 10:14Speaker 2: well on like eighties nineties hip hop.
- 10:17Speaker 1: I can do well on pretty much all hip hop
- 10:20Speaker 1: except for today's hip hop. I can't gay well with
- 10:22Speaker 1: anything but Drake.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Anything but current hip hop you would do well.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I would do well with the Kendrick and Drake Beef
- 10:27Speaker 1: I could do.
- 10:28Speaker 2: I think that's gonna come up on Celebrity.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I mean it might be like where how did it start?
- 10:33Speaker 1: It might be I know, you know, it might be like.
- 10:35Speaker 2: So Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy kimbl will be like Kendrick Lamar
- 10:41Speaker 2: and the Rapper Drake are in a battle. What is
- 10:45Speaker 2: it about? Is it a you know that kind of thing?
- 10:50Speaker 1: Yeah, we could, we would totally, we would totally get
- 10:52Speaker 1: that one.
- 10:54Speaker 2: We would get that. You know the whole story, you
- 10:55Speaker 2: know the whole trajectory, the whole story, I know.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Some of the story.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Is it over?
- 11:01Speaker 1: I mean pretty much?
- 11:04Speaker 6: No.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I just wondered if they were. They're both nodding.
- 11:06Speaker 6: I just it's over.
- 11:07Speaker 2: It's over.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Okay, it's been finished.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Oh, because because of Kendrick's track was so fire that
- 11:14Speaker 2: it just was over.
- 11:15Speaker 1: They not like us is one of the it's a
- 11:17Speaker 1: it's a it's a It seems like it's a world
- 11:19Speaker 1: anthem right now.
- 11:21Speaker 2: People are playing it all over the world. You sent
- 11:23Speaker 2: to the group, Chad, sac was hilarious. I sent the
- 11:26Speaker 2: group audience. My nephew sent me this. It's a compilation
- 11:30Speaker 2: of of reaction videos to people listening to that track
- 11:34Speaker 2: for the first time. I love that. It was pretty funny.
- 11:37Speaker 2: People people would go crazy, are you?
- 11:40Speaker 1: I mean? Shit?
- 11:40Speaker 2: Said which I've seen your guys reaction videos.
- 11:44Speaker 1: I lost where everybody loses it. I think everybody lost
- 11:48Speaker 1: it at a minor. I think a minor is one
- 11:50Speaker 1: of the most classic lines. I think everybody lost it
- 11:54Speaker 1: at a minor, I think universally, universally when he goes,
- 11:58Speaker 1: and it's probably a minor, everybody.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Went, they not like us, they not like us.
- 12:05Speaker 1: And then he holds it for a few But what
- 12:07Speaker 1: does that mean?
- 12:08Speaker 2: They not like us?
- 12:10Speaker 1: Because they're not like us. Bro, It's just it's all
- 12:13Speaker 1: over there.
- 12:13Speaker 5: You're not one of us.
- 12:15Speaker 1: They're not like a dog. You could say that. Anybody
- 12:18Speaker 1: could say that ship they not like us. Yo, that's
- 12:21Speaker 1: what that's. It's a fucking anthem. Dude, they not like us. Anybody.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I don't give a fuck who it is. They not
- 12:27Speaker 1: like us.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Go ahead, Daniel, I was gonna say. Specifically, the song
- 12:31Speaker 2: is about how fake Drake is. Like he calls him
- 12:34Speaker 2: a colonizer. Opens you say you're a colleague, but really
- 12:36Speaker 2: you're a colonizer. It's like he's just you know, you
- 12:39Speaker 2: are not one of us, and I think one of
- 12:41Speaker 2: us is a rapper in this particular contest. I mean,
- 12:44Speaker 2: it's in general you are not like us, but in
- 12:46Speaker 2: this particular context that's why.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I well, sure they're not like us. That's that's the
- 12:52Speaker 1: literal version, but the Kendrick version is the whoever you're
- 12:57Speaker 1: talking too when they they're not like us? Bro, what
- 13:01Speaker 1: do you mean you're not like me? They not like us?
- 13:05Speaker 1: None of these motherfuckers is like us.
- 13:06Speaker 7: Zach about how you know Drake is a club rapper,
- 13:11Speaker 7: whereas Kendrick is more like about the people making them
- 13:15Speaker 7: think as opposed to like, you're just over hear maing
- 13:16Speaker 7: people dance. There was a whole conversation about Drake. You
- 13:20Speaker 7: know you're from Canada, your experiences are different than.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Well, yeah, those are the like I said, those are
- 13:26Speaker 1: the exact metaphors of what he means by But as
- 13:31Speaker 1: an anthem for the world, all it means is whoever
- 13:34Speaker 1: your ops is, whoever your adversary is, they not like you.
- 13:39Speaker 1: And that's all it means. It's pretty amazing.
- 13:41Speaker 2: I mean, correct me if I'm wrong. It's gonna sound
- 13:43Speaker 2: very naive. But traditionally, Drake isn't from a traditional environment
- 13:48Speaker 2: for that the most popular rappers come from, right, because
- 13:51Speaker 2: he's Canadian and he was a child actor, right or
- 13:55Speaker 2: that's not.
- 13:56Speaker 1: You could be a child actor and you could be
- 13:58Speaker 1: a Canadian rapper and all that stuff. The argument is
- 14:01Speaker 1: your lingo, the way you're talking, you didn't have the
- 14:06Speaker 1: struggles that Americans had. Your struggle is your struggle. Your
- 14:11Speaker 1: struggle is a lot different. You can't claim you can't
- 14:14Speaker 1: really say nigga because your ancestors or you know, for
- 14:20Speaker 1: the most part, you don't come from your culture didn't
- 14:26Speaker 1: teach you about slavery and America and four hundred years
- 14:32Speaker 1: and all of that shit. You're claiming you know all
- 14:35Speaker 1: of this American violence and stuff. But dog, you're from Canada, and.
- 14:39Speaker 2: If I'm correct, that's kind of my question.
- 14:41Speaker 1: And if I'm correct, the violence in Canada ain't really
- 14:45Speaker 1: that high. So how you claiming all of this tough
- 14:48Speaker 1: guy shit, which you really should stick to. This is
- 14:52Speaker 1: all Kendrick speaking. What you really should stick to is
- 14:55Speaker 1: making people dance. You're really good at that. Ship, Dude.
- 14:57Speaker 1: You write great songs, but you know you and your
- 15:00Speaker 1: ghost writers, you guys write some fucking dope ship.
- 15:03Speaker 2: All your thoughts on that.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Because this this hard ship, ain't you, bro.
- 15:08Speaker 2: I don't disagree with what Donald said, but he's just
- 15:10Speaker 2: saying exactly what you said. Yes, don Drake does not
- 15:13Speaker 2: come from the traditional what I'm saying, So you're saying
- 15:17Speaker 2: also that, like Kendrick is fine with Drake being like
- 15:21Speaker 2: a club party rapper. He's just saying, don't try and
- 15:23Speaker 2: act like your your you've.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Don't try to imitate American violence, dog because you're not
- 15:29Speaker 1: from it. You don't know it. You're portraying something not
- 15:32Speaker 1: like us, and it's they're not like us.
- 15:39Speaker 2: I got it. Well, I'm glad that. I'm so glad
- 15:41Speaker 2: that I'm not in a in a in a in
- 15:42Speaker 2: a rap beef because I'm too sensitive.
- 15:45Speaker 1: So am I man? Like I remember when Nick Cannon
- 15:50Speaker 1: was like, you should come on wild'n out, and in
- 15:52Speaker 1: my mind all I could think of was the rap
- 15:53Speaker 1: battle at the end.
- 15:55Speaker 4: I'm way too sensitive that even I watched the Tom
- 15:57Speaker 4: I was like, now Don Brady roast and I was like,
- 16:00Speaker 4: would fuck me up for a year, Like, oh my god,
- 16:04Speaker 4: I can't watch it, Like it fucked Tom Brady got
- 16:09Speaker 4: dollars to be diss that would that would ease the pain?
- 16:13Speaker 1: Well, did it ease his kids pain? Because I know
- 16:15Speaker 1: his kids are hurt.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Really, why you think they watched it? They didn't watch it.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Everybody on the planet watched that ship, everybody on the planet.
- 16:24Speaker 1: And he did make a statement, Well.
- 16:26Speaker 2: He's the one that's what's gonna happen if you take
- 16:28Speaker 2: twenty five million dollars for comics to make fun of you.
- 16:32Speaker 1: It's like being a mom of six and being a
- 16:36Speaker 1: person in the community and thinking that you could get
- 16:39Speaker 1: away with doing porn and nobody finding nobody fucking finding out. Dude,
- 16:44Speaker 1: like you're throwing yourself on Front Street when you do
- 16:47Speaker 1: that ship. And he was standing there in front of everybody,
- 16:51Speaker 1: button naked, ready to get smacked.
- 16:54Speaker 2: He probably didn't think it is as bad as it
- 16:57Speaker 2: was going to be. In his mind. It was probably
- 16:59Speaker 2: way work.
- 17:03Speaker 1: He just don't know about it.
- 17:04Speaker 2: But he must have said to his kids, I'm sorry
- 17:06Speaker 2: you're upset. I'm sorry, I said, well, I got twenty
- 17:09Speaker 2: five million, so after taxes, let's say I got thirteen.
- 17:15Speaker 2: What do you guys want with it?
- 17:19Speaker 1: They'll be like, my dignity, dad, my dignity back dad.
- 17:23Speaker 2: I don't think this kid said that.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I went to school and everybody at school said that
- 17:27Speaker 1: my mom is fucking Taekwon. Don't hurt jo.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Whatever, Judo or Taekwond. I don't even know what the
- 17:36Speaker 2: story is. She had an affair with the martial arts teacher.
- 17:39Speaker 2: I mean, I gleaned from watching the roast that she
- 17:41Speaker 2: must have They not like us, They not like us.
- 17:46Speaker 2: So do you want to talk about areas if he
- 17:48Speaker 2: wants to man or that we that we're strong in.
- 17:51Speaker 2: I think debating the merits of Vla La Land If
- 17:53Speaker 2: that comes up, I'm really yeah, we'll crush that.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I think I could totally think.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Well, and Daniel, what do you think areas of who
- 18:03Speaker 2: wants to be a millionaire? Are areas that Donald and
- 18:05Speaker 2: I would do well? Okay, let me let me just
- 18:07Speaker 2: except for current day La La Land, planes, cameras, musical theater, golf, basketball,
- 18:17Speaker 2: But Donald could do video games Star Wars. Donald, will
- 18:19Speaker 2: you be able to do current day video games?
- 18:22Speaker 1: Some of them?
- 18:23Speaker 2: Okay?
- 18:24Speaker 1: All the current day video games are like five years old.
- 18:27Speaker 5: I mean, he's not wrong, It's crazy.
- 18:30Speaker 2: What else can I tell you? I'm seeing a plan.
- 18:32Speaker 1: You've seen any movies?
- 18:34Speaker 2: You know? What I saw which I really liked is Challengers. Okay,
- 18:39Speaker 2: so you liked it, Yeah you didn't like it. I
- 18:42Speaker 2: haven't seen it yet, but I've just heard I've heard
- 18:44Speaker 2: every opinion. I've heard every opinion, and it's making me
- 18:47Speaker 2: want to see it more. No, I recommend it. I
- 18:49Speaker 2: got to say, it's the new movie with Zendaya Donald.
- 18:52Speaker 1: She plays it where she did the Menaja the Devil's Threesome.
- 18:58Speaker 2: That's very much from not to know foilers. But that's
- 19:01Speaker 2: way more hyped for marketing than it's the point of
- 19:03Speaker 2: the movie. Really, but really, yes, absolutely, are you. They
- 19:09Speaker 2: sold you? They sold you a bill of goods.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Everybody's like in a freaking.
- 19:16Speaker 2: It's about a love triangle. I'll just say it's about
- 19:18Speaker 2: a love triangle. It's not really about an orgy.
- 19:22Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not happy about this now. I started
- 19:27Speaker 1: going to be something I did.
- 19:29Speaker 2: I did think it was more gonna be a more
- 19:32Speaker 2: risque film than it is, because that's how they marketed it.
- 19:35Speaker 2: But it's very I think it's really well done, and
- 19:38Speaker 2: the actors are all great and uh I read look
- 19:40Speaker 2: like she could play tennis. Yeah, they all. They are
- 19:44Speaker 2: all cut very well to make them look good. I
- 19:48Speaker 2: don't know what their skill level is, but they clearly
- 19:50Speaker 2: knew how to hit a forehand and serve, and then
- 19:52Speaker 2: they add the sound effects and then they clearly cut
- 19:55Speaker 2: lots of cuts to make it. I couldn't tell. I'm
- 20:00Speaker 2: pretty sure what they do a lot of the times
- 20:02Speaker 2: is they just don't have the ball in. So if
- 20:04Speaker 2: you got a perfect stroke and then you put a
- 20:07Speaker 2: CGI ball in, then just make it go fucking so fast.
- 20:11Speaker 2: It really sells the hell out of it. So I'm
- 20:12Speaker 2: sure that they trained their asses off and got and
- 20:17Speaker 2: how to sell it. And then so many of the
- 20:20Speaker 2: shots if you if you know what you know, you
- 20:22Speaker 2: can see that it's a CGI ball, so they just
- 20:24Speaker 2: like they add all the speed and then of course.
- 20:28Speaker 1: A really smart thing to do for golf movies, then
- 20:31Speaker 1: instead of putting the ball there and making these actors
- 20:33Speaker 1: actually hit the fucking golf ball.
- 20:35Speaker 2: That's what we did for Joey King That's what we
- 20:38Speaker 2: did for Joey King in in my movie. We may
- 20:42Speaker 2: have cut the scene. I forgot, No it's in you.
- 20:45Speaker 2: I think it's in. I think there's a shot of
- 20:46Speaker 2: in the movie. But joe, poor Joey, she trained a
- 20:48Speaker 2: lot to be able to a pitch of a softball,
- 20:54Speaker 2: and uh, she got pretty good for someone that was training,
- 20:58Speaker 2: you know, for like a month from scratch. But then
- 21:02Speaker 2: on the day we go to shoot it and she's
- 21:04Speaker 2: doing it in front of a girls softball team, and
- 21:07Speaker 2: she got in her head and uh, understandably, and they
- 21:13Speaker 2: weren't good at all. And then I realized, like, why
- 21:15Speaker 2: are we even doing this? Just take out the ball,
- 21:20Speaker 2: and so she just did the emotion perfectly looking, and
- 21:24Speaker 2: then in post we put in the fastest fucking softball
- 21:27Speaker 2: you've ever seen and it was perfect.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Yeah, that's all you gotta fucking do, Bro, I'm telling you,
- 21:32Speaker 1: I just that's a great fucking idea. All these golf
- 21:36Speaker 1: movies for not necessarily basketball but or football, but for
- 21:41Speaker 1: movies where you got to make baseball where the contact
- 21:44Speaker 1: is so important, just make it. Just have them swing
- 21:48Speaker 1: their normal swing with nothing there, and then put that
- 21:51Speaker 1: shit in post. It'll look way better than them actually
- 21:53Speaker 1: trying to fucking hit.
- 21:55Speaker 2: It's it's cool too and challenges. What's cool too is
- 21:59Speaker 2: they put the camera in place that where they get
- 22:02Speaker 2: these incredible shots because it's right on the net right,
- 22:05Speaker 2: and so if you have a CGI ball, it's going
- 22:07Speaker 2: right by the lens because you can put the ball
- 22:11Speaker 2: wherever you want, you know, so you've got them doing
- 22:14Speaker 2: their their perfect stroke, then you can have the ball
- 22:17Speaker 2: just go like inches by the lens perfectly every time. Cool.
- 22:21Speaker 1: It's kind of like in a lot of ways.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Oh Jesus, how could it possibly be like Star Wars?
- 22:26Speaker 1: Well, it's laser blasters going at lightsabers and pretending that
- 22:30Speaker 1: you're blocking shit and you're not really blocking anything, and
- 22:33Speaker 1: you're not really holding anything. Form that's right there. Try
- 22:39Speaker 1: if your form is if your form looks great, right,
- 22:42Speaker 1: that shit looks like I'm ad Best comes back in
- 22:45Speaker 1: Star Wars in h the Boba Fett SI or the
- 22:51Speaker 1: Mandalorian series, and he fucking holds lightsabers, and because he's
- 22:57Speaker 1: a dancer and a martial art his form is so sick.
- 23:03Speaker 1: This motherfucker's in action star. I don't know what the
- 23:05Speaker 1: fuck thinking back, I love I love George Lucas. I
- 23:09Speaker 1: love you to death, sir, and I listen to the podcast.
- 23:13Speaker 1: George Lucas totally listens to this fucking podcast.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Well, we should book a mod Best because I would
- 23:18Speaker 2: like to talk to him about this journey that he
- 23:20Speaker 2: went on. First of all, he went we went to
- 23:21Speaker 2: the same high school, yes, with Lauren Hill. But I
- 23:25Speaker 2: don't think Lauren's going to come on the show. But
- 23:27Speaker 2: I would like to get a mod Best. I will
- 23:29Speaker 2: ask him because I would like don wouldn't you like
- 23:31Speaker 2: to chat with him about this whole journey from.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Like, well he wrote a book about it.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Well, then he can plug his book, because I want to.
- 23:38Speaker 2: I want to know about all the ship that he
- 23:40Speaker 2: took for just accepting a role and how that impacted
- 23:44Speaker 2: his life.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Dude, you know what's crazy is that, you know, the
- 23:50Speaker 1: journey is so fucking long, and some of us, you know,
- 23:53Speaker 1: some people decide to get off the train before their
- 23:58Speaker 1: time and stuff like that. But it's so long, and
- 24:01Speaker 1: sometimes the reward is is great and sometimes it's not.
- 24:08Speaker 1: That's just what life is. But you know what, the
- 24:11Speaker 1: journey is the most important part. And I don't know, man,
- 24:16Speaker 1: I'm really excited to not to finish my journey, but
- 24:20Speaker 1: to continue this journey that we've started with this show.
- 24:23Speaker 1: I don't know what is. I don't know what's ahead
- 24:25Speaker 1: of us. I don't know what we've got coming. But
- 24:30Speaker 1: this could be something special.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Again it is it is going to be special. The
- 24:36Speaker 2: journey keeps going. We're working on it. I'm flying back
- 24:38Speaker 2: not just for Christ's party, but for another secret project
- 24:41Speaker 2: with Donald.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Holy shit, we're doing secret things again.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Another talking about one fucking journey, another one.
- 24:51Speaker 1: The fucking journey, z fucking journey.
- 24:55Speaker 2: I need another one in my sound machine. Another one,
- 25:00Speaker 2: another one. You can put it where this one is.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Eat these balls, Zach. Are you gonna get DJ Khaled?
- 25:06Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll just we'll just rip it another one. I
- 25:10Speaker 2: don't think of mine. I can do that, all right,
- 25:13Speaker 2: Countes Sin. And then we have a doctor, Darren Bagsby,
- 25:17Speaker 2: an incredible surgeon on the show today, who's gonna tell
- 25:20Speaker 2: us something he did that was pretty miraculous. And also
- 25:23Speaker 2: he's a very sweet gentleman. And he's a real surgeon.
- 25:26Speaker 1: And his fucking name is real too, people, that's his
- 25:29Speaker 1: actual name, Darren.
- 25:31Speaker 2: So Countessen, baby girl, Joelle, No, that's you. Yeah.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Stories that show we made about a bunch of he's
- 25:53Speaker 3: a story.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Yeah there, yeah in bags be Zach's wanting these chants
- 26:16Speaker 1: now because he's going to freaking sports games.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Yes, I've been attending Rangers games, so I know things
- 26:21Speaker 2: like Darren bags bet Da. You know up in the
- 26:27Speaker 2: up in the MSG they got a real organ player.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Some people think that that's just like canned music. No,
- 26:31Speaker 2: there's a real dude up there playing the organ. You
- 26:35Speaker 2: didn't even know that. You didn't know that, Donald.
- 26:37Speaker 1: I did know that, bro, No, you didn't know that
- 26:40Speaker 1: my whole life.
- 26:41Speaker 2: It's the same dude for like thirty five years. I
- 26:43Speaker 2: saw a whole video on him.
- 26:44Speaker 1: My guy. I've known it since.
- 26:46Speaker 2: I've been going, don't my guy me, please don't mind.
- 26:49Speaker 1: I don't say some dumb shit then, and I won't
- 26:51Speaker 1: say dumb shit then.
- 26:52Speaker 2: I don't like my guy or my I don't.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Like you trying to act like I don't know nothing
- 26:56Speaker 1: about sports. Bro.
- 26:58Speaker 2: You know I love Mark Cubans so much. But on
- 26:59Speaker 2: an episode of Shark Tank he said my my guy,
- 27:03Speaker 2: and it really hurt my feelings because I was like,
- 27:05Speaker 2: not you too, Mark, not you too.
- 27:08Speaker 1: I think I think everybody uses it as a condescend
- 27:11Speaker 1: at least I do as a condescending tone, as a cond.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Well, really sorry, doctor Bagsby's here, Sorrynding.
- 27:25Speaker 1: I do too.
- 27:25Speaker 2: I bet I bet you that when doctor Bagsby is
- 27:28Speaker 2: about to operate on a patient, he's like, all right,
- 27:30Speaker 2: here we go go under my guy.
- 27:33Speaker 1: You're going under my guy. You're going under guy.
- 27:37Speaker 2: I'll see you in four hours. My guy went on.
- 27:41Speaker 2: We met Darren doctor Darren Bagsby because he donated to
- 27:45Speaker 2: a charity for wounded warriors that Jake Tapper, the CNN
- 27:49Speaker 2: anchor hosts and Darren tell us how you came to
- 27:54Speaker 2: do that. You were telling Donald and I on a
- 27:55Speaker 2: on a zoom we did together that you decided to
- 27:59Speaker 2: treat your friends to some things. That was really nay
- 28:04Speaker 2: that the amount of surgeries you were doing.
- 28:07Speaker 6: Yeah, So, first off, I love wounded warriors.
- 28:09Speaker 8: I work Inville, North Carolina, where Fort Bragg is. We
- 28:13Speaker 8: take care of a huge veteran population, and so that's
- 28:18Speaker 8: a wonderful cause.
- 28:19Speaker 6: But essentially with this.
- 28:21Speaker 8: New job, I am very very busy. We're a very
- 28:25Speaker 8: underserved part of the state. The statistics say that we
- 28:29Speaker 8: should have between seventeen and twenty two orthopedic surgeons for
- 28:33Speaker 8: our area, and we have ten.
- 28:36Speaker 6: So we all have to work very, very hard. And
- 28:38Speaker 6: so in the month.
- 28:40Speaker 8: Of October leading up to your donation, I ended up
- 28:45Speaker 8: doing about three thousand, almost three thousand units of work
- 28:49Speaker 8: in one month, where the average orthpeedic surgeon does about
- 28:52Speaker 8: ten thousand units in a year.
- 28:55Speaker 1: So yeah, So how do you say units?
- 28:57Speaker 2: When you say units, what is that to the layman?
- 28:59Speaker 2: What does that mean? It's a procedure.
- 29:01Speaker 8: No, So every procedure has a set of units assigned
- 29:07Speaker 8: to it. They're called rvus or work value unit relative
- 29:10Speaker 8: value units.
- 29:12Speaker 6: But basically, so like a.
- 29:13Speaker 8: Small surgery a carpal tunnel is worth five, a big
- 29:17Speaker 8: surgery like a k nee replacement is worth twenty, a
- 29:20Speaker 8: huge surgery like a spinal.
- 29:21Speaker 6: Fusion is worth fifty. Oh wow, So someone came up
- 29:25Speaker 6: with all of this well before my time.
- 29:28Speaker 8: But it's a way to kind of gauge, allow for
- 29:32Speaker 8: a standardization of how much work you're putting in.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Right, because how do you measure that as a surgeon
- 29:37Speaker 2: like that? You know, how how do you how do
- 29:40Speaker 2: you compare and contrast the amount of work you're.
- 29:43Speaker 6: Kid And so we're not like lawyers where we build
- 29:46Speaker 6: by the hour.
- 29:48Speaker 8: It's based on how many surgeries we do, how many
- 29:50Speaker 8: patients we see. And so this is a way to
- 29:52Speaker 8: kind of standardize everything. Now, if you're really good at
- 29:55Speaker 8: what you do, and you can do a nee replacement
- 29:57Speaker 8: in forty five minutes and you're versus somebody is really
- 30:00Speaker 8: bad it takes two hours, you still get paid the
- 30:02Speaker 8: same amount.
- 30:03Speaker 6: It's still the same number of units.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Got it? So is for you? Guys? Is it for you?
- 30:08Speaker 1: Was it like you know, speed dating? Pretty much then
- 30:11Speaker 1: where you were, it.
- 30:12Speaker 6: Was a very busy month. It was a very busy month.
- 30:15Speaker 6: There was some weekends, there were some long nights marking weekends.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Really.
- 30:20Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I do about one weekend a month.
- 30:24Speaker 8: We break it up so you either work Friday Sunday
- 30:27Speaker 8: or you work all day Saturday.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Can we talk about the people that you're doing the
- 30:30Speaker 1: surgery on. Yeah.
- 30:33Speaker 8: So, like I said, I'm in kind of semi rural
- 30:37Speaker 8: North Carolina.
- 30:38Speaker 6: We have a huge veteran population.
- 30:40Speaker 8: I do mainly door replacements, so hip and knee replacement,
- 30:44Speaker 8: and then fracture works so people with broken bones. And
- 30:48Speaker 8: we're very busy just because we're a very populated area.
- 30:51Speaker 8: And then we also have one of the major highways
- 30:54Speaker 8: that connects Raleigh, Durham Chapel Hill, one of the most
- 30:57Speaker 8: populated areas North Carolina to the beach. So people drive
- 31:01Speaker 8: through our area along the major interstate and heaven forbid
- 31:04Speaker 8: they have an accident, they usually end up coming us.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Oh wow, So you do a lot of you do
- 31:09Speaker 2: a lot of broken trauma stuff. Do you get called
- 31:14Speaker 2: in even when you're not working because they're like, we
- 31:16Speaker 2: got a really bad case.
- 31:18Speaker 8: Yeah, So I am the only person for about three
- 31:21Speaker 8: or four counties that does really complicated hip.
- 31:24Speaker 6: And knee replacements.
- 31:25Speaker 8: So if you have a knee replacement and you break it,
- 31:28Speaker 8: if you have a hip replacement and it's infected, all
- 31:31Speaker 8: that stuff comes to me and so I do a
- 31:34Speaker 8: lot of that stuff that traditionally hasn't been done in
- 31:37Speaker 8: our area. It would have to go to one of
- 31:39Speaker 8: the big centers like Duke or UNC. But that's my specialty,
- 31:44Speaker 8: is the really really complicated stuff.
- 31:46Speaker 6: So like today, before the call, we had a lady.
- 31:48Speaker 8: Who had an infected knee replacement that had to come
- 31:51Speaker 8: out and an antibiotic knee replacement put in to treat
- 31:54Speaker 8: her infection.
- 31:55Speaker 6: And then the other one that.
- 31:57Speaker 8: We did was a lady who had a second time
- 32:00Speaker 8: knee replacement with a really long rod that went down
- 32:02Speaker 8: her shin bone and she fell and she broke right
- 32:05Speaker 8: below that. So normally when you break your shin bone,
- 32:07Speaker 8: we put a rod in there to stabilize it. Well,
- 32:10Speaker 8: she already had stuff in place, so we had to
- 32:12Speaker 8: use a plate and screws. We could put the screws
- 32:14Speaker 8: through the rod she has in place, and then we
- 32:16Speaker 8: have to use these big metal zip ties to.
- 32:17Speaker 6: Kind of buckle plate in place. Yeah, so it was
- 32:21Speaker 6: a tough one.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Aren't these people in so much pain? After you've gone
- 32:24Speaker 2: in there with your screws and your zip ties?
- 32:27Speaker 6: Well, broken bones hurt. I mean, anybody who's broken a
- 32:30Speaker 6: bone will tell you that hurts.
- 32:31Speaker 8: And so the screws and the plate and thing helped
- 32:34Speaker 8: to stabilize things so those edges aren't rubbing up against
- 32:36Speaker 8: one another. But you know, the trauma is hard because
- 32:41Speaker 8: you know, your goal is to get people back to
- 32:42Speaker 8: where they were beforehand, but depending on the injury, that
- 32:46Speaker 8: might not be possible. That's why I love joint replacement
- 32:49Speaker 8: because we take people who have, you know, spent years
- 32:53Speaker 8: and years of arthritis, just kind of losing their mobility
- 32:56Speaker 8: over time, and we you know, replace things and get
- 32:59Speaker 8: them back to where they were a long time ago.
- 33:02Speaker 8: And so it you know, it's really rewarding. I love
- 33:06Speaker 8: what I do. I'm very grateful to be able to
- 33:09Speaker 8: do it. But it's really enjoyable to, you know, get
- 33:13Speaker 8: people functioning again.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Why are there only ten of you? How come there's
- 33:18Speaker 1: not more there? Should? You said? They're supposed to be
- 33:20Speaker 1: thirty of you? Right? Yeah?
- 33:22Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, I think Raleigh is a much fancier
- 33:28Speaker 8: place to live.
- 33:28Speaker 6: We're a little bit more rural. That's a little bit
- 33:30Speaker 6: harder to recruit to.
- 33:32Speaker 8: We're kind of in between the big city and the beach,
- 33:34Speaker 8: and so people to choose one of those two things.
- 33:38Speaker 6: It's hard, I mean. And just in general, all of
- 33:41Speaker 6: medicine is underserved.
- 33:43Speaker 8: You know, COVID really changed that, not unlike you know,
- 33:48Speaker 8: military people dropped off after two thousand and one.
- 33:52Speaker 6: You know, they weren't able to recruit as well.
- 33:54Speaker 8: And I think you know, all sectors of healthcare, be
- 33:57Speaker 8: it nurses, PA's assistant, you know, all of that, the
- 34:02Speaker 8: staffing is is just continues to be a problem.
- 34:05Speaker 2: That's because of COVID. You think people were like had
- 34:07Speaker 2: enough turned off.
- 34:08Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean we lost a lot of people to retirement.
- 34:11Speaker 8: I think the incoming people weren't nearly as great. And
- 34:16Speaker 8: then you know, just the demands are rising, right, patient
- 34:19Speaker 8: population is getting older. Older people break their bones more
- 34:22Speaker 8: easily because they're more fragile.
- 34:23Speaker 6: Older people have more arthritis, they have.
- 34:25Speaker 8: More torn tendons that need shoulder surgery, they have more
- 34:29Speaker 8: you know, of everything, and so you know, but the
- 34:32Speaker 8: number of medical schools is staying the same. The number
- 34:34Speaker 8: of orthpedic residencies is staying the same, and so we
- 34:37Speaker 8: just don't have that increase. And then here in North Carolina,
- 34:42Speaker 8: there's a very interesting set of laws where it's called
- 34:46Speaker 8: certificate of need, where hospital systems can't just build rooms
- 34:51Speaker 8: and o rs and facilities if they want to, they
- 34:54Speaker 8: have to go to the state government and get a
- 34:56Speaker 8: permission slip called a certificate of need that says, oh, yeah,
- 35:00Speaker 8: think there's enough need in that area for you to
- 35:03Speaker 8: build more stuff.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Wow.
- 35:06Speaker 8: So it slows things down, particularly from twenty twenty to
- 35:09Speaker 8: twenty twenty two, where government officials weren't in the office
- 35:12Speaker 8: they you know, that all that stuff slowed down, and
- 35:16Speaker 8: so growth I think slows down a little bit too.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Was Raleigh, North Carolina was that area hit hard with COVID.
- 35:23Speaker 8: We were very busy. You know, I worked over two
- 35:26Speaker 8: different hospital systems, both of which you know, just I
- 35:31Speaker 8: think at one point we had one hundred and seventeen
- 35:32Speaker 8: percent capacity, so like every bed in the hospital was full,
- 35:36Speaker 8: plus you had all of the beds in the er
- 35:40Speaker 8: were full.
- 35:40Speaker 6: And so we were you know, we had we had
- 35:43Speaker 6: surges like everywhere else.
- 35:46Speaker 8: You know, my community did a pretty good job of
- 35:48Speaker 8: getting the elderly vaccinated. We were one of the best
- 35:51Speaker 8: counties in the in the state, but unfortunately for people
- 35:54Speaker 8: who were thirty and under, we were one of the worst.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Let's take a break.
- 35:58Speaker 2: We'll be right back after the fine words. How long
- 36:09Speaker 2: does it take to do a knee replacement?
- 36:12Speaker 1: For me?
- 36:12Speaker 6: It takes about forty five minutes.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Wow, I don't know.
- 36:19Speaker 6: I've done a couple, so it makes it a little
- 36:21Speaker 6: bit faster.
- 36:22Speaker 2: So you you just kind of speed through it. What
- 36:25Speaker 2: do you play? What do you play? In the in
- 36:27Speaker 2: the in the in the.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Welcome to Funny Games.
- 36:33Speaker 8: H Yeah, you gotta be peppy, for sure, it has
- 36:36Speaker 8: to be peppy. No, I mean it takes it takes
- 36:41Speaker 8: me as long as it takes me. I mean we
- 36:42Speaker 8: don't delay dally. We we try to get people in
- 36:44Speaker 8: and out of the operating room because the longer you're
- 36:46Speaker 8: under anesthesia's never a good thing. The longer your wound
- 36:49Speaker 8: is open, the higher your risk of infection. And so
- 36:52Speaker 8: you know a lot of them.
- 36:55Speaker 2: Less time I went under it was for a colonoscopy,
- 36:58Speaker 2: and I gotta tell you, Doc, I I wish they
- 37:02Speaker 2: had put me under before I went in the room
- 37:04Speaker 2: because they were man handling me and I wasn't out
- 37:08Speaker 2: yet and they were they were just treating me like
- 37:11Speaker 2: a piece of meat.
- 37:13Speaker 1: I always wonder that, I do wonder because we don't
- 37:17Speaker 1: there's no cameras that I know of in the O R.
- 37:20Speaker 2: There's only one camera and it's going inside.
- 37:24Speaker 1: But like, I wonder if that's what it is. I
- 37:27Speaker 1: wonder if it's like freaking you get roofed and then
- 37:30Speaker 1: they just freaking flip your ass open.
- 37:33Speaker 2: Well, that's kind of what happened. Listen, that's kind of
- 37:36Speaker 2: what happened. Donald. I remember going getting a little twilight something,
- 37:39Speaker 2: a little I don't know what you're saying. Yeah, a
- 37:42Speaker 2: little verse set. Ooh, that's the good stuff. Verse set,
- 37:44Speaker 2: that's what makes you feel like good. And I didn't
- 37:47Speaker 2: get enough verse set this time because they were just
- 37:49Speaker 2: man handling me and putting me in position for the
- 37:51Speaker 2: camera and they're all talking, and I was like, shouldn't
- 37:54Speaker 2: I be under already? Because I don't really.
- 37:56Speaker 1: You weren't under yet. No second.
- 38:00Speaker 8: You can ask Michael Jackson that medicine has some risks
- 38:03Speaker 8: to it.
- 38:04Speaker 6: So we try not to knock.
- 38:08Speaker 8: Yeah, so we try not to knock people out before that,
- 38:10Speaker 8: it's like ready, ready, time. But yeah, there's there's definitely
- 38:13Speaker 8: a gray zone in there where you know you.
- 38:16Speaker 6: Have to you want.
- 38:17Speaker 2: I felt like I saw. I felt like this saw
- 38:20Speaker 2: like you know when you go to a nice restaurant
- 38:21Speaker 2: and it's so beautiful and the lighting's perfect and it's romantic,
- 38:25Speaker 2: and then you go to the bathroom and you pass
- 38:27Speaker 2: like the brightly lit you know, kitchen and all the
- 38:29Speaker 2: mayhem behind the scenes. I felt like I was behind
- 38:32Speaker 2: the scenes. I was seeing stuff I wasn't supposed to
- 38:34Speaker 2: see it, you know what I mean? The verse said
- 38:38Speaker 2: they think they skipped the verse head I would have
- 38:40Speaker 2: I would have liked it.
- 38:42Speaker 1: I'd asked when I remember when I got my coldon scopy.
- 38:45Speaker 1: I asked straight up. I was like, you tell me.
- 38:49Speaker 2: You wanted to out. I don't wanted to fight it.
- 38:53Speaker 2: Don't want to fight it.
- 38:54Speaker 1: I want to see if I can ride the ship.
- 38:57Speaker 1: He was like, oh really, I was like yes. He
- 38:59Speaker 1: was like, you're not going to be able to do it.
- 39:00Speaker 1: I was like, yes, I am na wake up, wake up.
- 39:09Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 39:09Speaker 2: So nice. That first said I wish I could ride
- 39:12Speaker 2: it too, because you're like, it feels nice.
- 39:18Speaker 8: And then you're gone, and then you're out, people say
- 39:21Speaker 8: some stuff as they said to sleep.
- 39:24Speaker 2: I know I took up, okay, Doc, I was I
- 39:30Speaker 2: was coming out of I had hernia surgery and I
- 39:34Speaker 2: remember waking up from that and I just couldn't stop talking.
- 39:38Speaker 2: And he told me, the doctor told me when I
- 39:41Speaker 2: was a little more, I said some really embarrassing ship.
- 39:44Speaker 2: I remember saying it, but I couldn't stop saying it,
- 39:48Speaker 2: and he later he told me that it's what the
- 39:50Speaker 2: CIA used to use, what they call truths here because people, uh,
- 39:54Speaker 2: people just they can't stop talking and they start saying ship.
- 39:57Speaker 2: And I was like, I remember being this is so embarrassed.
- 40:00Speaker 2: But I remember being like, Doc, seriously, like your friends
- 40:04Speaker 2: and my friends, like we should all get together and
- 40:06Speaker 2: you should bring some of this stuff. I remember being like,
- 40:12Speaker 2: I remember being like, Doc, have you ever done ecstasy?
- 40:14Speaker 2: Because this is like this is kind of like I
- 40:17Speaker 2: can see, but it's better. It's like we need to
- 40:20Speaker 2: hang out. And he was laughing in my face and
- 40:26Speaker 2: I but I couldn't stop mm hmm.
- 40:30Speaker 8: Experienced that we I've had a couple of people say
- 40:34Speaker 8: some stuff. I had one lady who got incredibly graphic
- 40:39Speaker 8: with the more than a little bit of a crush
- 40:42Speaker 8: she had on me, and unfortunately I was not able
- 40:44Speaker 8: to see her back. One of my assistants had to
- 40:46Speaker 8: see her for all of her follow up because I
- 40:48Speaker 8: was no.
- 40:51Speaker 1: Relationship.
- 40:53Speaker 6: She took it a little too far.
- 40:56Speaker 2: Doc, I'm so glad to make you.
- 41:01Speaker 6: It doesn't make new thoughts, it just lets those thoughts out.
- 41:05Speaker 2: I know. That's why they called truth here, because I
- 41:07Speaker 2: did want to party with the doctor and his friends
- 41:09Speaker 2: in this drug. I was just I was being truthful.
- 41:12Speaker 1: That would be Yeah, that's tough, man. I I I
- 41:15Speaker 1: remember waking up and then being like it's over, and
- 41:19Speaker 1: me wanting and me being like five more minutes, dude, Just.
- 41:25Speaker 2: But yeah, is there a way that's what happened to
- 41:28Speaker 2: Michael Jackson because he fucking used it to sleep well?
- 41:31Speaker 1: No, he also had a freaking doctor who wasn't the
- 41:34Speaker 1: correct person to administ.
- 41:36Speaker 2: I don't think you're supposed to be giving it to
- 41:37Speaker 2: anyone for nightly sleep, right, Doc.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Yeah, nobody was getting.
- 41:43Speaker 6: House.
- 41:44Speaker 1: He wasn't even an anesthesiologist though, to do right well.
- 41:47Speaker 2: It was all shady. We know that.
- 41:49Speaker 1: Let's take a break.
- 41:50Speaker 2: We'll be right back after these fine words can I
- 42:00Speaker 2: something that's way below your pay grade? But tennis elbow?
- 42:03Speaker 6: Mm?
- 42:03Speaker 2: Hm, how do it sucks? It sucks a lot. I've
- 42:06Speaker 2: got really bad tennis all but I think I don't
- 42:08Speaker 2: play not playing tennis. I think from weightlifting I was doing.
- 42:11Speaker 2: I was doing chin ups. I think that's how it happened.
- 42:15Speaker 2: And now it's I just had my first pet appointment.
- 42:19Speaker 2: But I was wondering if you I'm sure there's plenty
- 42:21Speaker 2: of people listening that suffer from this, if you have
- 42:23Speaker 2: any advice.
- 42:24Speaker 8: Yeah, So the stretching exercises, they're showing you where you
- 42:27Speaker 8: really stretch those that that tendon group out is really important.
- 42:33Speaker 6: You know.
- 42:33Speaker 8: Sometimes if it gets really bad, they can put a
- 42:35Speaker 8: little shot in there of some medicine to try to
- 42:38Speaker 8: knock down some of the inflammation. There's a little strap
- 42:41Speaker 8: that provides kind of a counter pressure.
- 42:43Speaker 6: Yeah, that can be nice.
- 42:45Speaker 8: You know, when you're doing your workout stuff, trying to
- 42:48Speaker 8: keep things close to your body. So instead of doing
- 42:51Speaker 8: the big wide shoulder flies where it's way out.
- 42:54Speaker 2: Yeah I can't see that.
- 42:55Speaker 6: You can't see this on the camp.
- 42:56Speaker 8: Where it's way out here, tried doing it with a
- 42:58Speaker 8: ben elbow because it'll take that pressure off right there.
- 43:02Speaker 8: I get this from operating all the time because we
- 43:04Speaker 8: use this big electric cheese grater to put in hip
- 43:08Speaker 8: replacement parts.
- 43:09Speaker 6: It's like a big drill and I have to hold
- 43:11Speaker 6: it like.
- 43:12Speaker 8: This, and so I'm really squeezing and it puts a
- 43:14Speaker 8: lot of stress there. It's probably the most frustrating problem
- 43:18Speaker 8: you can have with your elbow. But that stretching will
- 43:21Speaker 8: really help, not only help it go away, but you
- 43:25Speaker 8: want to make that kind of like brushing your teeth,
- 43:26Speaker 8: like a maintenance program, because once you've had this once,
- 43:28Speaker 8: you're more likely to get it again.
- 43:30Speaker 2: How long does it take to go away? I read
- 43:31Speaker 2: on the interwebs like eight weeks.
- 43:33Speaker 6: Yeah, it can be a while.
- 43:35Speaker 8: Mine took like six months because I was operating every
- 43:38Speaker 8: single day.
- 43:39Speaker 6: This is when I was in training, and so I
- 43:41Speaker 6: never like late.
- 43:42Speaker 8: I would operate from seven to two and then I
- 43:46Speaker 8: go to the gym from like three to five, and
- 43:48Speaker 8: so like, I just never.
- 43:49Speaker 6: Let it relax. But this stretching is really the only
- 43:54Speaker 6: way to truly fix it.
- 43:55Speaker 2: Did you feel that Scrubs was accurate about the portrayal
- 43:59Speaker 2: of surgeon being stereotypically more jockish.
- 44:02Speaker 1: And.
- 44:04Speaker 6: So I think you guys did a great job.
- 44:06Speaker 8: I think Donald's speech in season one about competition and
- 44:10Speaker 8: how that leads you in that is one of the most.
- 44:13Speaker 6: Underrated scenes in the whole show.
- 44:17Speaker 8: My only major complaint was your orthopedic surgeon was the
- 44:20Speaker 8: weirdest human being on the entire show of the SENSEI
- 44:24Speaker 8: he was so weird and so kind of off into
- 44:27Speaker 8: a different direction, And I mean, you guys had it
- 44:31Speaker 8: right at the beginning of episode orth big surgeons are
- 44:33Speaker 8: the most jockish of the jockish, where the middle school
- 44:36Speaker 8: football players of medicine, Like.
- 44:39Speaker 2: How do you think that is? Why do you think
- 44:41Speaker 2: that is?
- 44:42Speaker 6: It's a fair question. I mean orthopedics.
- 44:44Speaker 8: I think is a lot of ex athletes that have
- 44:46Speaker 8: had injuries that find it interesting. A lot of orthopedics
- 44:50Speaker 8: is very physical. I mean when I do a new
- 44:53Speaker 8: replacement on someone in North Carolina, the legs down here
- 44:55Speaker 8: are a little different than the legs you guys have
- 44:57Speaker 8: in California, and so you need that physicality when two
- 45:01Speaker 8: bones are sitting opposed and all the muscles of someone's
- 45:05Speaker 8: leg or holding them in that position, and you have
- 45:07Speaker 8: to overpower that to put it back where it's.
- 45:09Speaker 6: Supposed to be.
- 45:10Speaker 8: I mean that takes physicalness, and so I think if
- 45:14Speaker 8: you don't enjoy being physical like that, it might not
- 45:18Speaker 8: be the right specialty for you.
- 45:20Speaker 2: My orthopedist in la is ripped too. I don't think
- 45:23Speaker 2: I've ever seen a non ripped orthopedist.
- 45:26Speaker 8: What exist, But I think I think it's I think
- 45:30Speaker 8: it definitely lends itself to people who like being physical
- 45:33Speaker 8: because it's a very physical job.
- 45:34Speaker 6: That's what I like about it.
- 45:35Speaker 1: Right. What about your feet? You're always on your feet, dude,
- 45:39Speaker 1: Like I'm an animator. I'm always on my feet at
- 45:42Speaker 1: the table and I'm doing stop motion animation. What advice
- 45:45Speaker 1: do you have for people who are on their feet
- 45:47Speaker 1: all day? Because this is something that I you know,
- 45:51Speaker 1: I didn't realize if you're standing long enough, you could
- 45:56Speaker 1: really fuck your backup. I thought that was the I
- 45:59Speaker 1: thought that was the way to get your back straight
- 46:01Speaker 1: in all of that.
- 46:02Speaker 2: What about one of those cushions that people stand on.
- 46:05Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean those for Donald that would probably work
- 46:08Speaker 6: in the o R.
- 46:09Speaker 8: You don't want that because then all the blood and
- 46:11Speaker 8: the goo soaks into it and it gets kind of nasty.
- 46:14Speaker 6: But you know, it's interesting. People think, oh, you're you're
- 46:16Speaker 6: standing all day.
- 46:17Speaker 8: You're you're being very active, But standing in one spot
- 46:20Speaker 8: very still is not being active. But I think, you know,
- 46:25Speaker 8: having a great pair of shoes is super important. I
- 46:27Speaker 8: change out my O R shoes every six to twelve
- 46:29Speaker 8: months just because they get so much wear on them.
- 46:32Speaker 8: I really like compression socks and shirts and pants and
- 46:38Speaker 8: are like kind of under my scrubs to help with
- 46:41Speaker 8: that kind of stagnant blood flow.
- 46:42Speaker 6: I think it makes a big difference.
- 46:45Speaker 2: But so donald can wear compression sucks.
- 46:49Speaker 8: And then the other thing I do is, you know,
- 46:51Speaker 8: one of the things I like about my stuff is,
- 46:53Speaker 8: like I said, we're surgery takes forty five minutes, an hour,
- 46:57Speaker 8: two hours.
- 46:57Speaker 6: It's not like some six hours buying little tiny movements
- 47:01Speaker 6: standing very but.
- 47:03Speaker 8: I couldn't handle that, And so you know, I get
- 47:05Speaker 8: to move around a little bit more than the average person.
- 47:08Speaker 8: But I mean the stop motion you're you're making those
- 47:10Speaker 8: tiny tiny movements.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Can't move and you it's it's it's very similar. I
- 47:16Speaker 1: don't have a steady hand like you. Like I drop
- 47:18Speaker 1: a lot of shit. Sincerely, you you're not in a
- 47:21Speaker 1: business where you can afford to drop to somebody.
- 47:27Speaker 8: But but but but making sure the table's up to
- 47:30Speaker 8: the correct heights, so you're not even you're not plunching over.
- 47:33Speaker 6: Yeah, I think that will make a big difference.
- 47:36Speaker 1: I've lifted the table up pretty high.
- 47:38Speaker 6: It's it's it's at.
- 47:39Speaker 1: The point where my hands are literally like this animating
- 47:42Speaker 1: and stuff.
- 47:42Speaker 6: I think that makes a big difference.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Well, Doc, thank you for coming on. We just wanted
- 47:47Speaker 2: to introduce you to our audience because.
- 47:50Speaker 1: You thought you were so cool with very very.
- 47:52Speaker 2: Impressive man and Donald and I have never done three
- 47:54Speaker 2: thousand units of surgery. Well yeah, yeah, yees.
- 47:59Speaker 6: Yet maybe in the reboot, Yeah, maybe.
- 48:02Speaker 2: Maybe if there's a reboot, we'll have to do an
- 48:05Speaker 2: episode where Donald has to do three thousand units of surgery.
- 48:09Speaker 2: The funny thing about Scrubbs is that one thing I
- 48:11Speaker 2: noticed is that Donald just does all surgery, like he
- 48:14Speaker 2: doesn't have any specialty. He just does all.
- 48:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:17Speaker 8: I think that's very common in the TV shows, people
- 48:20Speaker 8: do a little bit of everything. But but I mean
- 48:23Speaker 8: it's it's nice because you can have one character show
- 48:27Speaker 8: a little bit of everything. I mean, you guys were
- 48:29Speaker 8: really far ahead of the game with the whole cold
- 48:31Speaker 8: therapy for spinal cord injuries like that was very controversial
- 48:35Speaker 8: at that time. And you know if he if he
- 48:39Speaker 8: just stuck to belly stuff, you wouldn't be able to
- 48:42Speaker 8: do that storyline. And so I think that's part of
- 48:45Speaker 8: the reason the TV surgeons do a little bit of everything.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I noticed that too though. There was an episode
- 48:50Speaker 2: where like someone was getting an a breast augmentation. It
- 48:52Speaker 2: was like the Todd and Turk were doing it. It
- 48:55Speaker 2: was like, what don't they don't they don't they have
- 48:57Speaker 2: any specialty at all.
- 48:59Speaker 1: But also and they weren't in a plastic surgeon's office.
- 49:03Speaker 1: They were at a then't. It wasn't like cedars. They
- 49:06Speaker 1: were at like teaching hospitals.
- 49:07Speaker 2: So there's got a lot right though, Doctor Bags, we
- 49:12Speaker 2: didn't we get a lot right though.
- 49:14Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 49:14Speaker 8: I mean looking back on after rewatching during during this time,
- 49:20Speaker 8: like like I told you, guys, I've watched it a
- 49:22Speaker 8: couple of times. What amazed to me was you guys
- 49:26Speaker 8: in two thousand and one started talking about people misusing narcotics,
- 49:30Speaker 8: like you were so far ahead of what anybody was
- 49:33Speaker 8: thinking about at that time.
- 49:35Speaker 6: With that girl.
- 49:36Speaker 8: You were Dayton Alex who stole the progrest from the hospital,
- 49:40Speaker 8: and and then you had Sandy, the guy who came
- 49:44Speaker 8: in and played everybody for drugs. I mean that was
- 49:47Speaker 8: really really early in that narcotics time. You know, those
- 49:49Speaker 8: storylines now would be so expected and understood, but but
- 49:55Speaker 8: back then they were. You know, you think about it,
- 49:59Speaker 8: like they that discussion about Jadis and Alex about you know,
- 50:04Speaker 8: the taking that medicine, Like nowadays that's like straight to prison,
- 50:08Speaker 8: Like there's no like if JD doesn't report that, he
- 50:11Speaker 8: goes straight to prison, like there's no tolerance for that stuff.
- 50:14Speaker 2: But I do want to ask you about about the
- 50:17Speaker 2: opious doctor Bagsby, how do you how do you make
- 50:21Speaker 2: sure like you're doing very dramatic things to someone's body,
- 50:24Speaker 2: how do you make sure that they aren't in pain
- 50:27Speaker 2: whilst also ensuring they don't get addicted to these drugs
- 50:31Speaker 2: like oxy.
- 50:32Speaker 8: Yeah, it's it's a great question. I mean it's there's
- 50:35Speaker 8: definitely a balance there. I mean, part of getting a
- 50:37Speaker 8: near hip orplacement is you have to get up, you
- 50:39Speaker 8: have to the rehab and we have people getting up
- 50:42Speaker 8: the same day, and so you can't do that if
- 50:45Speaker 8: you're utterly miserable, and so one of the things you
- 50:48Speaker 8: know we've done is kind of like Donald's talking about
- 50:51Speaker 8: that pendulum swung way in one direction, where it was
- 50:54Speaker 8: just throw narcotics at him and they'll get better, and
- 50:56Speaker 8: throw long axi oxy conton at him and they'll get better.
- 51:00Speaker 8: And then we realize that that is a really bad idea,
- 51:02Speaker 8: and so now we're swinging back the other direction.
- 51:04Speaker 6: And the goal is to use things that aren't narcotics.
- 51:08Speaker 8: So all of my patients are on ask for intilenol
- 51:11Speaker 8: and celebrates, which is like a prescription strength ibuprofen, you know,
- 51:16Speaker 8: round the clock before they ever take a narcotic, Like
- 51:19Speaker 8: you have to take all three of those.
- 51:20Speaker 1: First before you can sit there and say.
- 51:22Speaker 8: Before you can ask for anything more. And then we
- 51:25Speaker 8: use you know, kind of mild pain medicines like tramadol.
- 51:29Speaker 8: We do injections all around where we're working with of
- 51:33Speaker 8: you know, numbing medicines, anti inflammatory medicines. The anesthesia doctors
- 51:37Speaker 8: are getting better about putting numbing medicines around the big
- 51:40Speaker 8: nerves around the knee to kind of numb them up
- 51:43Speaker 8: before you even get started, so those nerves don't get
- 51:46Speaker 8: a chance to overreact because they're numb during the surgery.
- 51:50Speaker 8: You do the same thing with numbing medicine in your
- 51:52Speaker 8: back to make your legs fall asleep versus those old
- 51:54Speaker 8: tube down your throat as it forms, and then just
- 51:59Speaker 8: getting up and moving around, Right, anybody who's had an injury,
- 52:02Speaker 8: the more you sit, the stiffer and sore and weaker
- 52:04Speaker 8: you get, and then that just compounds the pain, and
- 52:07Speaker 8: so certainly it's.
- 52:08Speaker 6: Not pain free.
- 52:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I'd be so afraid if I had something happen
- 52:12Speaker 2: to me like that that you know, all these oxy
- 52:15Speaker 2: horror stories.
- 52:17Speaker 1: It took down the king and it took down the prince.
- 52:19Speaker 1: Let's put it that way. It took down the king
- 52:22Speaker 1: and it took down prince.
- 52:24Speaker 8: Well, I do think that that that's really helped. I mean,
- 52:26Speaker 8: you people talk about these medicines are not benign. You
- 52:30Speaker 8: need to be careful, you need to watch out. You
- 52:32Speaker 8: have to use them judiciously. You know, there there has
- 52:37Speaker 8: been some good legislature that's helped us with that. In
- 52:40Speaker 8: North Carolina, we can only write seven days at a time.
- 52:43Speaker 8: Whereas my wife had a minor foot surgery and the
- 52:45Speaker 8: guy sent her home with ninety oxy cot oonnes because
- 52:48Speaker 8: he didn't want any calls for refills and three.
- 52:51Speaker 1: So yeah, so what happens to the right and so
- 52:54Speaker 1: what happens to those nineties? A responsible person says.
- 52:58Speaker 2: His wife sold them obviously.
- 52:59Speaker 6: Right, you know I had a big, big medical school. Yeah. No.
- 53:04Speaker 6: And the other dangerous.
- 53:05Speaker 8: Things is, you know we we at that time didn't
- 53:08Speaker 8: have kids that we have a daughter now.
- 53:10Speaker 6: You know, one of the biggest issues is people.
- 53:12Speaker 8: Get into mom and dad and grandma and grandpa's medicine
- 53:16Speaker 8: cabinets and that's where they get their first exposure to this.
- 53:20Speaker 1: I was about to say when I was a kid,
- 53:22Speaker 1: I went through my parents' medicine cabinets, and thank god
- 53:24Speaker 1: I didn't kill myself with the ship that I was taking.
- 53:27Speaker 1: I was I don't know what they were, what they had.
- 53:31Speaker 1: I was just experimenting with the.
- 53:34Speaker 2: That's not going to kill you.
- 53:36Speaker 1: I don't think val tracks existed been.
- 53:40Speaker 2: I'm just kidd but like you know, I could.
- 53:43Speaker 1: Have taken my mom's birth control and not know, you
- 53:45Speaker 1: know what I mean, like.
- 53:46Speaker 2: Just you were getting your mom's birth control.
- 53:49Speaker 6: Donalds cholesterol was really really good.
- 53:52Speaker 1: I have great cholesterol. I also could have birthed a child.
- 54:01Speaker 2: All right, Doc, that's all the time we have. Thank
- 54:03Speaker 2: you so much for coming on. We appreciate it, so
- 54:06Speaker 2: thank you for doing much you're doing.
- 54:07Speaker 8: Can but when we did our thing the other time.
- 54:10Speaker 8: And and Daniel can cut this if he needs to.
- 54:12Speaker 8: But I have a very serious question for Donald. So
- 54:15Speaker 8: I purchase, based on your recommendation, a Helix sleep mattress
- 54:19Speaker 8: from my home and from my call room.
- 54:22Speaker 6: And I want to know, and Daniel can cut this.
- 54:25Speaker 6: Did you do me or do you actually use that?
- 54:27Speaker 1: I believe in it. Listen, here's the thing. So here's
- 54:30Speaker 1: the thing. My kid has my mattress and his bed
- 54:33Speaker 1: is the most comfortable bed in the house. And so
- 54:35Speaker 1: I have I have hit up Joelle over and over,
- 54:40Speaker 1: my wife and I over and over again. Get Helix back.
- 54:43Speaker 1: This is going to be figure. I'm gonna use this. Actually,
- 54:45Speaker 1: get Helix back on the phone. We need another mattress
- 54:50Speaker 1: because it's it actually is a very very comfortable You
- 54:53Speaker 1: like it.
- 54:53Speaker 6: I agree, I strongly like it. And but I thought
- 54:57Speaker 6: about that.
- 54:57Speaker 8: I was like, I bought this just because I was
- 55:00Speaker 8: I need a new mattress. And I was listening to
- 55:02Speaker 8: the podcast and I was like, they recommended it, and
- 55:04Speaker 8: I used codes real friends for twenty percent off in
- 55:06Speaker 8: two free pillows, and yeah.
- 55:09Speaker 1: But I was.
- 55:10Speaker 2: Donald loves it. But his kids you didn't get on
- 55:14Speaker 2: earlier when we were talking about how he heats his
- 55:16Speaker 2: pool in ninety five degrees. His kids are so spoiled
- 55:20Speaker 2: that he got the most insane Helix mattress and then
- 55:23Speaker 2: he promptly gave it to his son.
- 55:25Speaker 1: When I was a kid, I didn't have a lot
- 55:27Speaker 1: of shit. And so now that I now that I
- 55:31Speaker 1: can get things, I am going to I spoil my
- 55:34Speaker 1: children with those things. Is it healthy? Probably not. Is
- 55:38Speaker 1: it going to fuck them up? Probably? But guess what,
- 55:42Speaker 1: at the end of the day, they're my kids, and
- 55:43Speaker 1: fuck off everyone else.
- 55:45Speaker 2: On that note, On that note, doctor Bagsby, thank you
- 55:48Speaker 2: so much.
- 55:49Speaker 6: Thank you, gentlemen, Thank you for having me.
- 55:53Speaker 1: Thank you for coming on.
- 55:54Speaker 2: Thank you for coming on.
- 55:55Speaker 1: Let's take a break.
- 55:56Speaker 2: We'll be right back after these fine words.
- 56:05Speaker 1: That was great.
- 56:05Speaker 2: I like doctor Bagsby.
- 56:07Speaker 1: I told you, I told you.
- 56:08Speaker 2: He's a very impressive guy. He is banging out, banging
- 56:11Speaker 2: out knee surgeries in forty five minutes. How long does
- 56:14Speaker 2: it take you Donald.
- 56:16Speaker 1: To bang out a knee surgery?
- 56:17Speaker 2: Yeah, bang out a replacement.
- 56:18Speaker 1: It takes me to bang out a replacement. Shit. Yeah,
- 56:23Speaker 1: I haven't banged out a replacement in a while because
- 56:25Speaker 1: I've been married.
- 56:26Speaker 2: So there's no oh, banged out a replacement. I get well.
- 56:30Speaker 2: I feel like one area we would do well on
- 56:31Speaker 2: Millionaire now is knee replacement surgery.
- 56:35Speaker 1: Well, we know about units, Yeah, we know about units.
- 56:38Speaker 2: If they're like, how do they measure the time of
- 56:40Speaker 2: the doctor in surgeries?
- 56:43Speaker 1: Units?
- 56:43Speaker 2: Jimmy a units?
- 56:46Speaker 1: Final answer, final answer?
- 56:48Speaker 2: Now, listen, when we're on the show, you're not allowed
- 56:50Speaker 2: to say final answer.
- 56:51Speaker 1: Don't do not, you do not say not.
- 56:53Speaker 2: We got to have a meeting, Yeah, we got to
- 56:55Speaker 2: have a meeting, to say, a whispered meeting. Like they're
- 56:59Speaker 2: doing Shark Tank. They're deciding between which deal to take.
- 57:02Speaker 2: They turn to each other and they cover their their lips.
- 57:04Speaker 1: Yeah, so that the audience doesn't know what we're going
- 57:07Speaker 1: to choose also, or when we're going to say final lands.
- 57:10Speaker 2: Well, they do like you to talk it out, Donald,
- 57:12Speaker 2: They do like the audience likes it when you talk
- 57:14Speaker 2: it out.
- 57:15Speaker 1: We're going to talk it out, bro, Yeah, we're going
- 57:17Speaker 1: to talk it all out.
- 57:18Speaker 2: Are you nervous, I'm very nervous.
- 57:19Speaker 1: I'm very nervous.
- 57:20Speaker 2: I want to give a lot. I want to give
- 57:21Speaker 2: a million dollars to our charities.
- 57:24Speaker 1: I would like that too. I'm very afraid that we
- 57:27Speaker 1: go out really early.
- 57:29Speaker 2: Neil Flynn. Oh, I didn't finish saying that. Neil Flynn,
- 57:33Speaker 2: as you all know, played the genitor. I remembered, was
- 57:36Speaker 2: very good at trivia, and I think he was the
- 57:40Speaker 2: kind of guy who did the New York Times Crossford
- 57:42Speaker 2: puzzle every day, and he just seemed wise and good
- 57:46Speaker 2: at this kind of thing. So we asked him to
- 57:48Speaker 2: be our phone a friend. So when we do Millionaire,
- 57:51Speaker 2: Neil is going to and he said, yes, he's going
- 57:53Speaker 2: to be our phone a friend.
- 57:55Speaker 1: Although I will say we wanted to although I did,
- 57:59Speaker 1: I will when we did Family Feud, his team didn't
- 58:02Speaker 1: get one thing right and he was.
- 58:05Speaker 2: But family feuds a different game. That's what did a
- 58:08Speaker 2: hundred people say.
- 58:10Speaker 1: I am just saying it.
- 58:13Speaker 2: Wanted to get what's his name, Neil.
- 58:16Speaker 1: De Grassi Tyson, No, Neil Tyson de Grossi. I wanted
- 58:19Speaker 1: Ken Jennings also.
- 58:21Speaker 2: And we were asking my way, well, we were asking
- 58:24Speaker 2: the million of people like is it cheating if we
- 58:25Speaker 2: if our phone and friend is Ken Jennings or Neil
- 58:27Speaker 2: de grass Tyson And they say also for charity, so
- 58:31Speaker 2: it's all good. Well, then I thought the fans would
- 58:34Speaker 2: appreciate Neil Moore.
- 58:37Speaker 1: They will appreciate Neil Moore.
- 58:39Speaker 2: Yeah, and also Neil's good TV.
- 58:41Speaker 1: But it was great TV. So the other two also
- 58:44Speaker 1: don't get it twisted.
- 58:46Speaker 2: No, but I'm saying, let his say even though it's
- 58:47Speaker 2: for charity, it feels cheating. If our fucking phone in
- 58:50Speaker 2: front is Ken Jennings.
- 58:52Speaker 1: Do you think you disagree? Home boy?
- 58:54Speaker 2: Do you think he would have said? Yes?
- 58:56Speaker 1: Hell, yeah, it's us man. He listens to the podcast.
- 58:59Speaker 2: But I call Neil and be like, you've been replaced
- 59:01Speaker 2: with Ken Jennings.
- 59:04Speaker 1: No you, We wouldn't disneyel like that. We've already made
- 59:06Speaker 1: our choice. But those would have been excellent choices as well.
- 59:11Speaker 2: All Right, I love you. I'm going to see you
- 59:12Speaker 2: on Saturday.
- 59:14Speaker 1: I cannot wait. I have I have been getting my
- 59:16Speaker 1: steps in? Have you been getting your steps in? Yeah?
- 59:18Speaker 6: I have.
- 59:18Speaker 2: I'm in New York City. It's very easy to get
- 59:19Speaker 2: your steps in.
- 59:20Speaker 1: It's so easy to get your steps in if you
- 59:22Speaker 1: can find a place to walk. People listen if you
- 59:24Speaker 1: need to get your steps in, I know a way.
- 59:28Speaker 1: Find a trail and walk that shit.
- 59:30Speaker 2: Like eight times you've been working on trails.
- 59:33Speaker 1: All I do is go to this college, I step
- 59:35Speaker 1: the block from where I live right and I walk
- 59:38Speaker 1: around it and I walk around it twice and I
- 59:40Speaker 1: get eleven thousand to twelve thousand steps.
- 59:43Speaker 2: That's amazing, dude, you found a way I found I uh,
- 59:46Speaker 2: that's great. In New York City, I just ride my
- 59:48Speaker 2: bike and walk everywhere and I get my ten thousand
- 59:51Speaker 2: steps in.
- 59:52Speaker 1: Also, for those of you out there, it's going to
- 59:54Speaker 1: sound a little crude. It's going to sound a little crude.
- 59:57Speaker 1: Jerking off helps with the steps.
- 59:59Speaker 2: Also, Oh, you keep your or ring on when you masturbate.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: Absolutely, because then that's steps, it's steps.
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: Well it's not steps, it's sort of cheating. And then
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: you're getting then you're getting lotions. Then you're getting lotions
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: all over your steps. What about when you're having intercourse,
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: do you keep your orr ring on?
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: Yeah, because my heart rate gets up and that's an activity.
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: Yeah, the or ring will tell you it looks like
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: you've been fucking and.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: It looks like it looks like your activity level has just.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: No, it's mine, mine must I must have a new
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: update because it says it appears you have been fucking,
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: and then you click yes or no. And sometimes we
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: were just on a walk, so you're like, oh, I
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: wish I was fucking. I was just walking. But okay,
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: the hit that you click out the x X out
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: the fucking dude.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, man, I'm missing. I miss I
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: missed in your face. I want to know about you.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: I want to I'm going to see you. I'm going
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: to see you Thursday for our secret project, and I'm
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: gonna see you Saturday at Christa's birthday party. Audience, thank
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: you for tuning in. We love you. We we hope
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: you learn something about out knee surgery and about how
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: Donald's masturbates with his ring.
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: No five secure some stories that show we made about
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: a bunch of talks and nurses in Canada.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: I said, here's the story. NET you all show no
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: So gander round you here, Gada round you here O
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: spec me was SHOWZ and no
