- 2:28Speaker 4: I'll be your guest host tonight and tomorrow. I do
- 2:31Speaker 4: have I think a great show in store for you
- 2:34Speaker 4: this evening, going to bring on a good friend of mine,
- 2:36Speaker 4: former gubernatorial candidate, politician, businessman, at the bottom of this hour,
- 2:40Speaker 4: Bob Stefanowski get into some of the things going on.
- 2:44Speaker 1: On Wall Street and the tariffs and all of that
- 2:47Speaker 1: good stuff.
- 2:47Speaker 4: And then we're going to bring on Judge John Dezzar
- 2:49Speaker 4: to talk about some of the legal issues that.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Are plaguing Donald Trump for sure.
- 2:55Speaker 4: And there's a couple of news stories out there that
- 2:57Speaker 4: we'll try to touch on. A helicopter crash in New
- 2:59Speaker 4: York tragic, five or six people lost their lives. Also,
- 3:04Speaker 4: a plane carrying representatives congressman in New York was hit.
- 3:09Speaker 4: No one was injured, it was hit on the ground,
- 3:11Speaker 4: So all kinds of chaos in the skies. And as
- 3:13Speaker 4: news develops on that, I will be sure to bring
- 3:16Speaker 4: it to you. I hope you stay with us. I
- 3:18Speaker 4: think it's going to be a great show. I do
- 3:20Speaker 4: want to start with something that I've talked about a lot.
- 3:22Speaker 4: I don't want to put an exclamation point of sorts
- 3:25Speaker 4: on it. My radio show here in Connecticut, we've talked
- 3:29Speaker 4: about this a lot, and I'm going to sort of
- 3:31Speaker 4: backtrack and go over this one more time for folks
- 3:33Speaker 4: across the country who maybe haven't got a chance to
- 3:36Speaker 4: listen to me talk about this one specific issue.
- 3:39Speaker 1: And again, I know the.
- 3:43Speaker 4: Stock market was down again today, up big yesterday, down
- 3:46Speaker 4: a couple days before that, up and down it goes.
- 3:49Speaker 4: I wouldn't panic on any of that stuff.
- 3:51Speaker 1: It's going to shake out.
- 3:52Speaker 4: It's going to be back to somewhat normal once everybody
- 3:55Speaker 4: sits down, and once Trump is able his team is
- 3:57Speaker 4: able to meet with these countries and shakeout deals. And
- 4:00Speaker 4: I do completely anticipate that it's going to happen. But
- 4:03Speaker 4: we'll talk at the bottom of the air a little
- 4:05Speaker 4: bit more about that. I want to talk about. I
- 4:07Speaker 4: want to talk about whether or not this administration and
- 4:12Speaker 4: this president should be magnanimous, should they be a forgiving administration?
- 4:21Speaker 4: And our nation is filled with diabolical traders who wish
- 4:27Speaker 4: to tear everything apart, everything that we hold dear, they
- 4:32Speaker 4: want to rip apart. So these monsters are embedded in
- 4:39Speaker 4: every corner of our society, from media to the universities,
- 4:44Speaker 4: and they've taken a stronghold in Washington, DC, the halls
- 4:48Speaker 4: of government. The people that supposedly represent us have been
- 4:53Speaker 4: deceiving us for decades. So the age old question or
- 4:59Speaker 4: the age old ad is that elections have consequences, and
- 5:04Speaker 4: so does betrayal. Betrayal has consequences. So this is not
- 5:10Speaker 4: a time for Donald Trump and the administration to extend
- 5:15Speaker 4: kindness or forgiveness to those who openly work against America.
- 5:22Speaker 4: And I'm pointing the finger at Shumer, I'm pointing the
- 5:25Speaker 4: finger at a shift aoc elon Omar, all that whole crew,
- 5:32Speaker 4: everybody in Pelosi.
- 5:34Speaker 1: I'm pointing the finger at all of you.
- 5:37Speaker 4: We have extended grace, allowed room for debate, given second chances,
- 5:43Speaker 4: and for what for stabs in the back over and
- 5:47Speaker 4: over and over and over and over again. A famous
- 5:53Speaker 4: proverb says, when justice is done, it brings joy to
- 5:57Speaker 4: their righteous, but terror to the evil doers. So there
- 6:01Speaker 4: was an argument that was going on before Trump became
- 6:05Speaker 4: the president. Again, is that whether or not he was
- 6:07Speaker 4: going to go after his adversaries, whether or not he
- 6:09Speaker 4: was going to go after people who push back against him.
- 6:11Speaker 4: And a lot of people said, no, don't do that,
- 6:13Speaker 4: Let's try to have a harmonious government.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I think they're wrong.
- 6:19Speaker 4: And the more i watch the Trump derangement syndrome, the
- 6:24Speaker 4: more I'm convinced that I'm right, because we need righteousness,
- 6:31Speaker 4: righteousness to bring consequences to the wicked people who have
- 6:35Speaker 4: been morally bankrupt and have been trying to tear this
- 6:39Speaker 4: country down for the better part of thirty forty years.
- 6:44Speaker 4: And don't forget you come from an amazing stock. You're
- 6:47Speaker 4: an American citizen. You were and this country was forged
- 6:52Speaker 4: in the fires of a revolution men and women who
- 6:55Speaker 4: worked tirelessly, fearlessly.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Facing hardship after hardship.
- 7:03Speaker 4: And I'm not calling for vengeance, nothing wicked, nothing reckless,
- 7:09Speaker 4: nothing cruel.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I just call for justice, resolute justice.
- 7:13Speaker 4: Find the folks who have been pushing against America and
- 7:17Speaker 4: get them out.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Purp walk them, find them, charge them if.
- 7:21Speaker 4: They've been stealing, if they're afraid of doge, if they've
- 7:24Speaker 4: been speaking out because they're afraid that they're little pill
- 7:31Speaker 4: of money slush fund of money is gonna get ferreted
- 7:34Speaker 4: out and found out.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Purp walk them out. It's time.
- 7:37Speaker 4: For too long, we've watched our leaders play nice in
- 7:41Speaker 4: the sandbox with those who have shown disdain for this
- 7:44Speaker 4: country and everything that it represents. And if you look around,
- 7:48Speaker 4: the betrayal is everywhere. Cities crumbling, borders were overrun. Until
- 7:54Speaker 4: Trump became president. Our youth are being poisoned by nonsense,
- 7:57Speaker 4: these ideologies that are tearing down everything we try to
- 8:01Speaker 4: build these kids up to get ripped apart by this wokeism.
- 8:04Speaker 4: And it didn't happen overnight. It happened because again, we
- 8:08Speaker 4: allowed serpents to crawl into the highest positions of power
- 8:12Speaker 4: and influence, and they've been whispering poison into the ears
- 8:15Speaker 4: of these kids. And there they were to keep the
- 8:20Speaker 4: gatekeepers of America.
- 8:22Speaker 1: So I go back to this old term.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Trump, you got to drain the swamp, and that means
- 8:26Speaker 4: you've got to go after these folks with reckless abandon
- 8:29Speaker 4: I know you're busy. I know you've got trade deals
- 8:32Speaker 4: to work out, But as Doge uncovers more waste, fraud,
- 8:37Speaker 4: and abuse, we've got to figure out who is the
- 8:40Speaker 4: beneficiary to this, and they've got to go, and you've
- 8:44Speaker 4: got to You've got to make a concerted effort to
- 8:46Speaker 4: do that. And all of us out here will I
- 8:49Speaker 4: promise you will stand shoulder to shoulder. We'll stand right
- 8:53Speaker 4: alongside you and fight that good fight. But for those
- 8:57Speaker 4: of you who are out there who wish to destroy
- 9:00Speaker 4: the constitution, who mock the values, undermine everything that we
- 9:04Speaker 4: hold dear to so discord among us every single day.
- 9:07Speaker 1: There's no mercy for you.
- 9:09Speaker 4: And I'm not talking about physical violence. I'm talking about
- 9:12Speaker 4: righteous violence. Not violence, but the righteousness of making sure
- 9:17Speaker 4: that you are held accountable for what you've done. It's
- 9:21Speaker 4: not just by the way, it's not just a duty.
- 9:25Speaker 4: It's the right thing to do to rid your nation
- 9:29Speaker 4: of traitors.
- 9:31Speaker 1: You can't ignore the responsibility of this. You can't turn
- 9:34Speaker 1: a blind eye. You can't just shrug your shoulders and say, well,
- 9:37Speaker 1: that's what it was.
- 9:37Speaker 4: No, you've got to find these folks out and hold
- 9:40Speaker 4: them accountable and safeguard this nation for your kids and
- 9:44Speaker 4: your grandkids. It's very, very important our founding fathers had
- 9:49Speaker 4: courage to make this happen. And again, remember, elections have consequences,
- 9:56Speaker 4: and we have witnessed firsthand what happens when you put
- 10:01Speaker 4: the worst of the worst in power, got a clean house,
- 10:06Speaker 4: put America back in the hands of those who actually
- 10:09Speaker 4: cherish it, those who want to restore honor and integrity
- 10:15Speaker 4: and strength in our leadership.
- 10:18Speaker 1: And I'm convinced that as.
- 10:19Speaker 4: Of right now, whether you like what he has tried
- 10:23Speaker 4: to accomplish or not, I think Trump represents all of
- 10:26Speaker 4: those things. He represents a strength that we haven't had
- 10:29Speaker 4: in a long long time. And he puts America first,
- 10:32Speaker 4: and that above all else should be paramount in what
- 10:35Speaker 4: we're talking about. And for every single patriot who's listening
- 10:40Speaker 4: on this network, who's listening in all over radio stations
- 10:43Speaker 4: across this country, from again the Long Island radio stations,
- 10:47Speaker 4: the Hartford radio stations, out across the plans of this country,
- 10:50Speaker 4: all the way out to Vegas and beyond.
- 10:53Speaker 1: You got to stand up. You got to speak out.
- 10:55Speaker 4: Whenever you're at someplace where discussions are happening, make sure
- 10:58Speaker 4: you're relentless, be bold, don't let anything stop you from
- 11:02Speaker 4: defending what is right. This right now, this right now
- 11:07Speaker 4: is our moment to take back a country that was
- 11:11Speaker 4: stolen from us.
- 11:13Speaker 1: For I got in twenty plus years. Don't let this
- 11:18Speaker 1: moment pass you by.
- 11:20Speaker 4: Once again, my name is LEELSI I get a chance
- 11:22Speaker 4: to fill in for Wayne Allen Root. He is in

- 16:14Speaker 4: April sixteenth at eight pm Eastern b There text goal
- 16:17Speaker 4: to eight five five four five so markets down again today.
- 16:22Speaker 4: Like I said, bottom of the hour, we'll get to
- 16:24Speaker 4: a businessman who's run multiple billion dollar companies, he ran
- 16:28Speaker 4: for governor, and we'll get into some of the economic
- 16:31Speaker 4: turmoil that's going on in this country right now.
- 16:33Speaker 1: But I want to I want to touch.
- 16:35Speaker 4: On one thing before we run out of time and
- 16:37Speaker 4: have a lot of time in this break. But you know,
- 16:39Speaker 4: on on during the course of the week, on Tuesday
- 16:44Speaker 4: and on Wednesday, you had these It was Tuesday Wednesday,
- 16:50Speaker 4: the CNNs of the world, the NBC news is of
- 16:52Speaker 4: the world, the Reuters of the world all went out
- 16:55Speaker 4: of their way to heavily criticize Trump. Okay, there was
- 16:59Speaker 4: a plunge in this dock market. Obviously, it went down
- 17:01Speaker 4: thousands of points. People were panicking, but the news could
- 17:05Speaker 4: not get this information out faster with incredible It felt
- 17:10Speaker 4: like it was incredible.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Glee is the.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Word I guess I'm looking for. So then the markets
- 17:17Speaker 4: ticked back up on Wednesday. I'm getting there on my days,
- 17:20Speaker 4: back back up. Monday and Tuesday they went down, Wednesday
- 17:23Speaker 4: they came back up, Thursday went they went back down.
- 17:25Speaker 4: But Wednesday you couldn't find any of these left leaning
- 17:32Speaker 4: outlets to report that the market was bouncing back. Instead,
- 17:36Speaker 4: they went out of their way to criticize Trump once again,
- 17:40Speaker 4: which is this is a pet peeve of mine. If
- 17:42Speaker 4: you're a news supposedly a news organization, report the news,
- 17:48Speaker 4: why do you have to take a slant? Why can't
- 17:51Speaker 4: you just make it informational?
- 17:53Speaker 1: I get it.
- 17:53Speaker 4: Your CNNs of the world they you know, they want
- 17:56Speaker 4: to have this this bias, but it goes in almost
- 18:00Speaker 4: every single newspaper across the country.
- 18:03Speaker 1: It's the same thing.
- 18:05Speaker 4: They all take their shots at Trump constantly building this narrative,
- 18:09Speaker 4: and that's why it's hard for fifty percent of the
- 18:12Speaker 4: country or forty five percent of the country to actually
- 18:16Speaker 4: come to grips with reality that demand, despite all of
- 18:20Speaker 4: his flaws, is actually trying to break a broken system.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Does that make sense.
- 18:29Speaker 4: He's trying to smash to smithereens this system that has
- 18:33Speaker 4: been bleeding us dry for so long. I can't say
- 18:36Speaker 4: this enough. We're thirty six trillion dollars in debt. We
- 18:40Speaker 4: are hemorrhaging money. This particular situation where you doze is
- 18:45Speaker 4: finding the waste, fraud and abuse, trying to slow down spending,
- 18:48Speaker 4: trying to save a trillion dollars has to happen otherwise
- 18:52Speaker 4: we're going over the cliff. And I'm sick and tired
- 18:55Speaker 4: of these news outlets who emphasize these these things in
- 18:59Speaker 4: such an negative way that half of the population can
- 19:02Speaker 4: never come to grips with the idea that Trump is
- 19:05Speaker 4: actually trying to do the right thing here and actually
- 19:07Speaker 4: trying to save this country from going over that fiscal cliff.
- 19:12Speaker 4: One of the other things I was looking at is,
- 19:14Speaker 4: you know what exactly this because obviously right now we're
- 19:16Speaker 4: talking China's we raised the tariff again, I think the
- 19:18Speaker 4: one hundred and forty five percent today. So what do
- 19:22Speaker 4: we get from China? What do we what actually do
- 19:25Speaker 4: we import from China? And I found this interesting. We
- 19:27Speaker 4: import mostly cell phones, clothes, TV, and toys. These are
- 19:33Speaker 4: the things that are the most important thing from China
- 19:37Speaker 4: to us. The rest of it, pardon my language, is crop.
- 19:41Speaker 4: I mean everything that's in a dollar store, turn upside
- 19:45Speaker 4: down and look where it's from.
- 19:46Speaker 1: It's made in China. We hold all the cards in.
- 19:50Speaker 4: This poker game with China, and we should stay very
- 19:53Speaker 4: firm where we are. Make them buckle. I understand they're
- 19:56Speaker 4: quote unquote a proud people. But most of the things
- 19:59Speaker 4: that we get aside from the cell phones, and again,
- 20:02Speaker 4: we had to try to build cell phones here, they'd be.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Very, very expensive. We have to figure out a way
- 20:06Speaker 1: with that.
- 20:07Speaker 4: But cell phones, closed TVs and toys, we can make
- 20:10Speaker 4: that stuff. And again, we don't need to continue to
- 20:12Speaker 4: import garbage from China, who's been stealing our intellectual properties
- 20:18Speaker 4: for decades. It's time for us to buckle up and
- 20:20Speaker 4: this once we can get these guys to the table,
- 20:24Speaker 4: it's a win win for everybody. All Right, we're gonna
- 20:26Speaker 4: come back. A good friend of mine's joining me next.

- 23:43Speaker 4: mine ran for governor here in the state of Connecticut,
- 23:45Speaker 4: and I'll tell you we'd be a lot better off
- 23:47Speaker 4: had he won either one of those races.
- 23:50Speaker 1: CEO at ge.
- 23:52Speaker 4: And I'm just finding out now, Bob, I just saw this.
- 23:55Speaker 4: I didn't know this, But you ran in the New
- 23:57Speaker 4: York Marathon and the London Marathon.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Is that true? Welcome Bob Stefanowski to the show. Bob,
- 24:03Speaker 1: you there, Yes, but true, my friend, how are you doing.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I'm doing really good. You ran in both of those marathons,
- 24:10Speaker 1: is that true? Yeah?
- 24:13Speaker 7: I finished them both. I came in the next morning
- 24:15Speaker 7: when the sun was coming up.
- 24:16Speaker 1: But I may all right. Well, that's all right though.
- 24:20Speaker 1: That's pretty good man. That's I'm impressed by that. I
- 24:23Speaker 1: really am.
- 24:24Speaker 8: Well.
- 24:24Speaker 4: Listen, I used to do a weekly segment on my
- 24:26Speaker 4: radio show and it was always a lot of fun
- 24:28Speaker 4: getting you in.
- 24:28Speaker 1: And nobody knows more ins and outs and business than
- 24:31Speaker 1: you do.
- 24:31Speaker 4: And I guess I want to start with asking you
- 24:34Speaker 4: you don't like tariffs, and I want to ask you
- 24:37Speaker 4: why you don't mind the way Trump is using them.
- 24:39Speaker 4: But in a general sense, you don't like tariffs, right.
- 24:43Speaker 7: Yeah, Well, I think I'll give you a thirty second
- 24:46Speaker 7: economics lesson. One of my best friends in life is
- 24:50Speaker 7: a guy by the name of doctor Arthur Laffer. He
- 24:53Speaker 7: was Ronald Reagan's chief economists. Some of your listeners may
- 24:57Speaker 7: remember the Laugher curve from their days in college. But
- 25:01Speaker 7: what Art talks about are two types of incentives. There
- 25:04Speaker 7: are positive incentives and there's negative incentives. And I know
- 25:08Speaker 7: you're a big dog lover, Lee. If a positive incentive
- 25:11Speaker 7: would be if you come home from the restaurant, you
- 25:14Speaker 7: got a big meaty bone and you give it to
- 25:16Speaker 7: your dog, what's he going to do. He's got to
- 25:20Speaker 7: run right up to you, and you're going to know
- 25:21Speaker 7: exactly where he is at all times, so you're going
- 25:24Speaker 7: to You're going to tell that dog run right up
- 25:27Speaker 7: to me. A negative incentive would be the dog comes
- 25:30Speaker 7: in and you grab the newspaper and you stop him
- 25:32Speaker 7: on the nose and he runs away.
- 25:35Speaker 8: You don't know where he's going to run to. You
- 25:36Speaker 8: don't know what he's going to do next.
- 25:38Speaker 7: So there's two types of incentives, and economics as well,
- 25:42Speaker 7: and unfortunately, tariffs are what's called a negative incentive. Basically,
- 25:48Speaker 7: we're telling the world right now not to trade internationally,
- 25:51Speaker 7: and that's a dangerous place to be in most economies.
- 25:56Speaker 8: You're with me so far, I am.
- 25:58Speaker 1: I am with you. Are you going to keep going?
- 26:01Speaker 1: You want me to ask?
- 26:03Speaker 8: No?
- 26:03Speaker 1: No, keep going, keep going.
- 26:07Speaker 7: If I were lucky enough to be in the President
- 26:10Speaker 7: Trump's cabinet, I would be advocating for positive incentives. I mean,
- 26:14Speaker 7: the objective is really to get more manufacturing in the US,
- 26:17Speaker 7: and we're doing that by disincentivizing foreign companies from coming here.
- 26:23Speaker 8: A much much better.
- 26:24Speaker 7: Way to do that would be the lower taxes in
- 26:26Speaker 7: the US, to have less regulatory stringency in the US,
- 26:31Speaker 7: and make the US a better place to do business.
- 26:34Speaker 7: Now he's doing that as well, Lee in fairness, he's
- 26:37Speaker 7: got every one of his cabinet members trying to make
- 26:39Speaker 7: it easier to do business in our country. But that
- 26:44Speaker 7: would be a better way to stimulate growth in the
- 26:47Speaker 7: United States. And our home state of Connecticut is a
- 26:50Speaker 7: great example of that. And reversely, in Connecticut, we've got
- 26:54Speaker 7: high regulation, we've got high taxes. So what are all
- 26:57Speaker 7: the manufacturers doing. They're moving down to Tennessee. They're moving
- 27:00Speaker 7: down to Florida. They're all moving out of the state
- 27:02Speaker 7: because it's too hard to do business. Even our current
- 27:06Speaker 7: governor a couple of years ago said, well that I'm
- 27:08Speaker 7: done with Connecticut. I'm going to tell my wife to
- 27:10Speaker 7: go do business down in Tennessee. And this is the
- 27:14Speaker 7: governor of the state. So classic economic theory, they would
- 27:18Speaker 7: tell you that tariffs are not a good thing.
- 27:22Speaker 4: What about the idea of leveling the playing field. They
- 27:24Speaker 4: teariff us, so we tariff them. I explain, how come
- 27:28Speaker 4: that isn't factored into this equation in your mind.
- 27:32Speaker 7: Well, there's something to that. And this is where it
- 27:34Speaker 7: gets to the good news with President Trump. If your
- 27:37Speaker 7: listeners have not read the Art of the Deal, they
- 27:40Speaker 7: should do it. It's a small book. You can read
- 27:42Speaker 7: it in a couple days. And what President Trump is
- 27:45Speaker 7: doing is he's negotiating with these tariffs. I don't think
- 27:48Speaker 7: President Trump agrees in anything other than free trade, but
- 27:52Speaker 7: he's got the leverage, he's got the cards right now.
- 27:55Speaker 7: It is much more damaging for China to have tariffs
- 27:59Speaker 7: imposed on them that it is to have China impose tariffs.
- 28:02Speaker 8: On the US.
- 28:03Speaker 7: He has all the leverage in this equation. So I
- 28:07Speaker 7: don't think three months from now or even thirty days
- 28:10Speaker 7: from now, you're going to see tariffs. But what he's
- 28:12Speaker 7: doing is he's using the power of the United States,
- 28:15Speaker 7: which thank god, somebody's finally doing it right. We had
- 28:19Speaker 7: presidents that kind of just took it for years. They
- 28:21Speaker 7: got slapped in one cheek and they turned around and
- 28:24Speaker 7: got slapped in the other. Thank god, somebody's standing up
- 28:27Speaker 7: for the US realizing that we have leverage. And he said, listen,
- 28:31Speaker 7: if you're going to tear if for me, I'm going
- 28:32Speaker 7: to tif you and we will win that argument because
- 28:36Speaker 7: we're a much better place. We've got the cards, we've
- 28:38Speaker 7: got the leverage, and we will win this battle. So
- 28:41Speaker 7: I got a lot of calls over the weekend. Is
- 28:43Speaker 7: the market going to crash that I get out of stock?
- 28:46Speaker 8: You know, Lee?
- 28:47Speaker 7: I think in the long term we're going to be
- 28:49Speaker 7: just fine. There's going to be some ups and downs
- 28:51Speaker 7: in the short term. You saw the binion increase yesterday,
- 28:54Speaker 7: you see another decrease today. But I'd be willing to
- 28:57Speaker 7: bet President Trump no matter what you think of him,
- 28:59Speaker 7: and I'm a fan, he is not He is a
- 29:02Speaker 7: smart person, and he is not going to go through
- 29:05Speaker 7: his administration with the stock market not being up from
- 29:08Speaker 7: the day he got in. So I think good times
- 29:11Speaker 7: are ahead. People just need to keep the confidence. I
- 29:14Speaker 7: know it's a little bit scary, but we will get
- 29:17Speaker 7: through this, and I'd be willing to bet the economy
- 29:19Speaker 7: in the long term will be much better than it
- 29:21Speaker 7: is today.
- 29:22Speaker 4: Do you think they're calling it sort of a pullback
- 29:26Speaker 4: of these tariffs. He gave this reprieve for ninety days.
- 29:30Speaker 4: Do you think that was part of the plan. Do
- 29:31Speaker 4: you think that was something that like an audible that
- 29:34Speaker 4: he called at the last minute because he saw the
- 29:36Speaker 4: stock market tank so badly.
- 29:39Speaker 7: I don't know, but that's another key factor. You know,
- 29:42Speaker 7: some people blame the tariffs for the depression, the smoot
- 29:45Speaker 7: holy tariffs, someone argue called the Great Depression. The difference is,
- 29:49Speaker 7: back then, tariffs need to be passed by the legislature.
- 29:53Speaker 7: You needed a law, You needed Congress to vote on
- 29:56Speaker 7: these tariffs either put them in or take them out,
- 29:59Speaker 7: so you could be flexible. The benefit that President Trump
- 30:03Speaker 7: has is he can do it with a stroke of
- 30:04Speaker 7: the pen, so he can be nimble around these traffs.
- 30:07Speaker 7: He can put them on, he can take them off,
- 30:10Speaker 7: he can put them back on, and that provides them
- 30:13Speaker 7: Between that and the leverage of the United States has
- 30:16Speaker 7: is the greatest economy in the world. That gives him
- 30:19Speaker 7: tremendous power to negotiate better deals with each of these countries.
- 30:23Speaker 8: So was yesterday in audible or not?
- 30:25Speaker 7: I don't know, but I'll tell you if I were
- 30:27Speaker 7: putting my money on China or the US to win
- 30:30Speaker 7: this terror for I know we're all put my money
- 30:33Speaker 7: because it's hurting them a lot more than it's hurting honestly,
- 30:36Speaker 7: and you got to give them credit for be willing
- 30:38Speaker 7: to take some static. I heard you earlier saying the
- 30:41Speaker 7: Democrats love to point out when the stock market is down,
- 30:44Speaker 7: but when it's up, it's like, you know, crickets, right,
- 30:47Speaker 7: So people need to keep their heads that we're going
- 30:49Speaker 7: to get through this and in the long run it's
- 30:52Speaker 7: going to help Lee.
- 30:53Speaker 8: It's definitely going to help.
- 30:54Speaker 4: We're talking to a very good friend of my Bob Stefanowski,
- 30:56Speaker 4: and he ran for governor a couple of times here
- 30:58Speaker 4: in the state of Connecticut, and I can guarantee if
- 31:00Speaker 4: he had won either one of those times, the state
- 31:02Speaker 4: of Connecticut would be a lot better place to do
- 31:05Speaker 4: business certainly, and just to live in general. So if
- 31:08Speaker 4: you had, if we had like a crystal ball, and
- 31:11Speaker 4: let's say Trump was able to negotiate deals with all
- 31:14Speaker 4: of these countries, they all finally came to the table
- 31:17Speaker 4: and we got an acceptable deal from all the countries
- 31:21Speaker 4: and maybe even China. Maybe it wasn't exactly what we wanted,
- 31:24Speaker 4: but we got something from China. What do you think
- 31:27Speaker 4: our economy would look like? How would that change things
- 31:30Speaker 4: for the average everyday American?
- 31:34Speaker 7: Well, I think it's the first thing that's going to
- 31:36Speaker 7: do is great jobs, Lee. I mean, there's been so
- 31:38Speaker 7: many businesses that moved off. Sure, I've been doing this
- 31:41Speaker 7: for thirty years.
- 31:42Speaker 8: And I remember the days.
- 31:44Speaker 7: I was a general electric for fifteen years, and you know,
- 31:48Speaker 7: I'm a little bit embarrassed about it now. But we
- 31:50Speaker 7: were sending people overseas. You know, we're sending people over
- 31:54Speaker 7: to China because the cost of manufacturing was cheaper. And
- 31:57Speaker 7: if you're trying to get your stock price up, you
- 31:59Speaker 7: kind of owe it to your share gareholders to produce
- 32:01Speaker 7: things where it's the cheapest to produce them. But the
- 32:04Speaker 7: beauty of what the President is doing is he's going
- 32:06Speaker 7: to make it cheaper to produce goods and services here,
- 32:09Speaker 7: and that's going to draw back people.
- 32:11Speaker 8: It's going to bring back jobs. The other thing.
- 32:14Speaker 7: Is is is tariffs do not necessarily increase inflation. Certainly
- 32:19Speaker 7: on goods coming in, they're going to be higher priced,
- 32:21Speaker 7: and a tariff is attacks. So for things that we import,
- 32:25Speaker 7: the prices are going to be higher, but for things
- 32:28Speaker 7: that we export, the prices are.
- 32:30Speaker 8: Going to be lower. And it's going to net.
- 32:32Speaker 7: There's going to be more supply of goods and services
- 32:35Speaker 7: here because not so much is going to be sold overseas.
- 32:38Speaker 7: So you're going to see a counterbalance between imports and exports,
- 32:42Speaker 7: and I don't think we're going to see a dramatic
- 32:44Speaker 7: increase in inflation net net.
- 32:46Speaker 4: We're talking to Bob Stefanowski, and I'm going to force
- 32:50Speaker 4: him to stay over one more break because I got
- 32:52Speaker 4: a couple other questions. I want to ask him in
- 32:53Speaker 4: general questions about American politics, and then he might be
- 32:56Speaker 4: the foremost expert on the New York Giants, so I'm
- 32:59Speaker 4: going to ask him who the Giants are planning on drafting,
- 33:02Speaker 4: on draft day, which is coming up I think in
- 33:06Speaker 4: two no, two weeks, yeah, two weeks from tonight.
- 33:08Speaker 1: All right, so we'll take a quick time out. My
- 33:10Speaker 1: name is Lee Elsie, filling in for Wayne Allen Root.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Short break, we'll come right back. You're listening to the

- 38:14Speaker 4: That's magavitamin dot com. Our guest is multiple CEO many
- 38:19Speaker 4: different multiple billion dollar corporations and a good friend of mine,
- 38:22Speaker 4: Bob Stefanowski, gubernatorial candidate. A couple runs and we're trying
- 38:25Speaker 4: to squeeze him and twist his arm to get him
- 38:28Speaker 4: to run for something else here in the state of Connecticut.
- 38:30Speaker 4: We could use him. But Bob, let me ask you,
- 38:32Speaker 4: and we don't have a lot of time in this segment,
- 38:34Speaker 4: but I wanted to ask you just in a general
- 38:36Speaker 4: sense about American politics and the increased polarization. I mean
- 38:40Speaker 4: it's really either love them or you hate them. And
- 38:42Speaker 4: that goes for both sides. Both sides are in this
- 38:45Speaker 4: love hate relationship. And it's really it can get nasty, right,
- 38:49Speaker 4: it's really tough.
- 38:51Speaker 7: Well it's tough, and you know, having done it two times,
- 38:54Speaker 7: it's as tough on the candidate's family, quite honestly, as
- 38:58Speaker 7: it is on the candidate. I think that the the
- 39:00Speaker 7: biggest disappointment, you know, looking back, is it's gotten to
- 39:04Speaker 7: the point where the truth is irrelevantly and and nobody,
- 39:08Speaker 7: you know, nobody focuses on the real facts anymore. And
- 39:11Speaker 7: and and people just can arbitrarily say whatever they want, right,
- 39:15Speaker 7: there's no fact checking to it whatsoever, and you can
- 39:19Speaker 7: get away with it. And you know, I'm old enough
- 39:21Speaker 7: to remember the days of Reagan and you know, those
- 39:24Speaker 7: those older days, and and and.
- 39:26Speaker 8: Yeah, it was, it was.
- 39:27Speaker 7: It was competitive, but at least you kind of there
- 39:30Speaker 7: was a founding truth there that at least you knew
- 39:33Speaker 7: what what reality was.
- 39:34Speaker 8: And and and.
- 39:35Speaker 7: Now you know, you watch CNN or or MSN, it's
- 39:40Speaker 7: like it's like watching a fairy tale, right, And I
- 39:43Speaker 7: think most people that don't pay attention like you do,
- 39:46Speaker 7: and your listeners do.
- 39:48Speaker 8: They don't realize that it's a fairy tale.
- 39:49Speaker 7: And and and since it's on TV or or in
- 39:52Speaker 7: the newspaper, they believe it. And and and I think
- 39:54Speaker 7: that's the most unfortunate part of where politics have gotten to.
- 39:58Speaker 4: And it's hard to combat that too, because is they
- 40:00Speaker 4: may take a nugget of truth or something that seemingly
- 40:04Speaker 4: is the truth, and they stretch it as far as
- 40:06Speaker 4: they possibly.
- 40:07Speaker 1: Can to get away with it.
- 40:08Speaker 4: And like you said, the CNN's, the MSNBC's, they're the
- 40:11Speaker 4: most egregious, and even the print media, the print media
- 40:14Speaker 4: finds their way into doing that over and over against
- 40:16Speaker 4: the socialistic headlines, you know, stories that aren't necessarily exactly accurate.
- 40:22Speaker 1: It's it's unfortunate, but I see that a lot.
- 40:26Speaker 8: Well you see it now with all the people I
- 40:28Speaker 8: heard today.
- 40:28Speaker 7: Stephanopolos came out and said, yeah, he knew Biden was
- 40:33Speaker 7: in his life term. Well, if you know that, and
- 40:36Speaker 7: you're an objective reporter, how the heck do you not
- 40:38Speaker 7: say it on you know, this week in Review on ABC?
- 40:42Speaker 7: How do you not say it? You have a responsibility
- 40:45Speaker 7: to say and not only that a lot of these
- 40:48Speaker 7: women are getting rich writing books about it now after
- 40:50Speaker 7: they allied for the last you know, five four or
- 40:52Speaker 7: five years about Biden.
- 40:54Speaker 1: It's incredible, it is, it is incredible.
- 40:56Speaker 4: And you know, if you I can see I almost
- 40:59Speaker 4: excuse the way away the people who are on his team. Right,
- 41:02Speaker 4: there's that protection mode, even though you've got to think
- 41:05Speaker 4: of the country first. But Stephanopolis and the rest of
- 41:08Speaker 4: the media who knew for a fact that he was
- 41:10Speaker 4: completely debilitated. This is you're talking about the safety, security,
- 41:15Speaker 4: and sanity of America and they did not do their job.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Bob.
- 41:21Speaker 7: Well, the other thing you realize, I know, we don't
- 41:23Speaker 7: have much time at running for office, is you realize
- 41:25Speaker 7: many of these politicians they've never done anything else in
- 41:28Speaker 7: their life other than beyond the public dole, and for
- 41:32Speaker 7: this their reelection is life and death because they can't
- 41:35Speaker 7: feed their families. Their resume says nothing else than being
- 41:38Speaker 7: a public official, and being a public official is a
- 41:41Speaker 7: noble role. I'm not downplaying it, but some of these
- 41:44Speaker 7: people have never done anything else. So if they have
- 41:46Speaker 7: to pick between telling them the truth or doing what's
- 41:49Speaker 7: right for their constituents, or being able to feed their
- 41:52Speaker 7: family by winning the election, again, they're going to do
- 41:54Speaker 7: the latter, and that's unfortunately because it gets to some
- 41:58Speaker 7: perverse outcomes.
- 42:00Speaker 4: And that's why I think they're all so upset about Doze.
- 42:02Speaker 4: They're going to find out, you know, these slush funds
- 42:04Speaker 4: that are hidding here and hidding there that they've been
- 42:06Speaker 4: dipping into.
- 42:07Speaker 1: That's my opinion on that one. For sure.
- 42:09Speaker 7: I love those Connecticut Our state could use a Doze
- 42:13Speaker 7: version two point only.
- 42:14Speaker 8: Imagine.
- 42:14Speaker 1: I agree. Fine, all right, listen, we got Connecticut.
- 42:17Speaker 4: They'd find a ton. We got forty five seconds. Who
- 42:20Speaker 4: should the Giants take with their first pick? Third pick overall?
- 42:23Speaker 7: Yeah, well, the question is going to be Sanders or
- 42:26Speaker 7: not Lee. I don't you know, if you look at Sanders,
- 42:28Speaker 7: he would have been drafted probably the.
- 42:30Speaker 8: Eighth quarterback last year.
- 42:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:32Speaker 8: I don't think i'd die for the quarterback. I think
- 42:34Speaker 8: I'd go for the best person in the draft. What
- 42:36Speaker 8: do you think?
- 42:36Speaker 1: I think the same thing.
- 42:37Speaker 4: I think they should pass on the quarterback and maybe
- 42:40Speaker 4: go with one of those defensive linemen for sure, because
- 42:42Speaker 4: I think that that's an impact player right away. The
- 42:45Speaker 4: great Bob Stefanowski, I thank you so much. I know
- 42:48Speaker 4: you're super busy. Things you don't know about Bob. He's
- 42:50Speaker 4: run two marathons and he's a scratch golfer. He'll take
- 42:53Speaker 4: your money on the golf course every time.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Bob. I appreciate it, Buddy, Thank you so much.
- 42:58Speaker 4: I'll talk to you soon. Okay, friend, you gotta pout.
- 43:00Speaker 4: All right, We're gonna come back top of the hour.
