Good news for anglers and families: Kanopolis Kid’s Fishing Pond, Marion Reservoir, and Kirwin Lake are off the algae advisory list—but don’t relax yet. Nineteen other waters still carry warnings or watches. Avoid swimming or letting pets near water marked “warning,” including Lake Charles, Gathering Pond, and King Lake. “Watch” areas may have visible blooms; stay alert and keep animals away.
