Canceled Too Soon #246 | "The Idol" (2023)

Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd lead a staggeringly impressive cast in Sam Levinson's prurient, cynical, baffling erotic (?) thriller (?) drama (?) about a young music star who falls in with a creepy abuser, whose humiliations and tortures bring out the best in her music.
Was it CANCELED TOO SOON? By god, we are about to find out.
