- 0:05Speaker 1: The problem?
- 0:06Speaker 2: This is am I the problem? Where you send us
- 0:09Speaker 2: your side of the story and we let you know
- 0:12Speaker 2: if you're in the rite or if maybe, just maybe
- 0:15Speaker 2: you are the problem. Gabe, we had someone right in
- 0:20Speaker 2: who we have to keep them anonymous.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Okay, Wow, hi gave an angie.
- 0:25Speaker 2: I have a question that I would like the listeners
- 0:27Speaker 2: to give their opinion on, and can you let me
- 0:30Speaker 2: know am I the problem? I would like to remain
- 0:33Speaker 2: anonymous because I don't think my boyfriend listens to you guys,
- 0:37Speaker 2: how dare you?
- 0:37Speaker 3: He's the problem on.
- 0:40Speaker 2: A daily basis, But I know he has family members that.
- 0:43Speaker 4: Do Oh hello, boyfriend's family members.
- 0:45Speaker 2: So we will call her anonymous Sita because she wants
- 0:49Speaker 2: to be anonymous.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Okay, I'm really proud of that.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Yeah. I have been living with my boyfriend for almost
- 0:56Speaker 2: a year. He has a class reunion coming up. He
- 0:59Speaker 2: met to me the date and location. I went and
- 1:03Speaker 2: got got addressed, scheduled nail appointment, et cetera. I jokingly
- 1:09Speaker 2: asked him who he was taking and he said himself.
- 1:12Speaker 2: I said, wait, you mean I'm not going? And he
- 1:15Speaker 2: said it is expensive and you won't know anyone. I
- 1:18Speaker 2: told him I would cover the cost for myself. If
- 1:21Speaker 2: that's a concern. He still said that I would be bored.
- 1:25Speaker 2: I want to know from the listeners. Was I presumptuous
- 1:28Speaker 2: to assume I was going. Here's the deal I struck
- 1:30Speaker 2: up with him. If the listeners agree with me, he
- 1:33Speaker 2: has to make arrangements with the person coordinating the responses
- 1:38Speaker 2: and tell them I am coming. If they agree with him,
- 1:42Speaker 2: I will drop it and not mention it again. I'm
- 1:45Speaker 2: going to tell you this right now, Ananymosita. He doesn't
- 1:48Speaker 2: want you to go because there's a high school flame
- 1:51Speaker 2: that he wants to rekindle or see if there's like
- 1:54Speaker 2: something still there. That's where my head's at. I think
- 1:58Speaker 2: he doesn't want you to go because he's trying to
- 2:01Speaker 2: see if there's anything left with any of his old
- 2:03Speaker 2: hookups back in high school.
- 2:05Speaker 3: You think, I think so one hundred percent.
- 2:09Speaker 4: Maybe he just wants to like harmless. I can't even
- 2:12Speaker 4: say this.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Maybe he just wants to like harmlessly and openly flirt
- 2:18Speaker 1: with you, not a route.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Wow, I think that's just as bad. Here's the thing.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Yes, that is like a form of cheating. If you're
- 2:27Speaker 1: going to act away, that's different. Yeah, Partners around very sketchy.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Let us know what you think seven oh one two
- 2:36Speaker 2: eight on one nine eight seven. I think that anonymous
- 2:39Speaker 2: Sita because they've been they've only they've been together for
- 2:42Speaker 2: almost a year, is what she said. And I feel
- 2:46Speaker 2: like maybe he just doesn't think that it's serious enough
- 2:50Speaker 2: to bring her as his Yeah, like, but that would
- 2:54Speaker 2: make me mad.
- 2:55Speaker 3: And you better know that I'm the one.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Before the year, I will say to play devil's advocate
- 3:01Speaker 1: a little bit. To go out and like buy a
- 3:03Speaker 1: dress and grab all these things to get ready before
- 3:05Speaker 1: you even have a clue of if you're going or
- 3:07Speaker 1: not is kind of a weird move.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Why would you so.
- 3:11Speaker 2: You think it is presumptuous of her? You think she
- 3:13Speaker 2: should have confirmed.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I'm just saying you could have saved yourself some money
- 3:17Speaker 1: and not about the dress and asked about going first,
- 3:20Speaker 1: not asked, that's not the word, but confirmed. Wouldn't you
- 3:23Speaker 1: just like check in with that, like, oh, I'm going
- 3:25Speaker 1: to this right, and then go buy the dress?
- 3:27Speaker 2: But that's her question. Was she presumptuous to assume that
- 3:30Speaker 2: she is going? So you were saying that she's the
- 3:33Speaker 2: problem in this scenario.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Well, I imagine this, right, Corey and I are sitting
- 3:36Speaker 1: at the old dinner table. Okay, she has some work
- 3:40Speaker 1: function she needs to go to, and I sprint to
- 3:44Speaker 1: Target to get a brand new button up shirt and
- 3:46Speaker 1: brand new pants and shoes and get home. And then
- 3:49Speaker 1: she's like, oh, it's actually just a work thing, Like
- 3:51Speaker 1: You're not going that?
- 3:53Speaker 4: Isn't that a bit?
- 3:54Speaker 1: Like?
- 3:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I would, I gets do that.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Well, yeah, okay, I see what you mean.
- 4:00Speaker 2: But I am thinking that he's the problem because I
- 4:05Speaker 2: don't know. I just think he's trying to hook up
- 4:06Speaker 2: with someone from the past.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Definitely is trying to talk to that girl that kind
- 4:10Speaker 1: of shot him down when he was seventeen one hundred percent.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Let us know seven oh one two eight zero one
- 4:16Speaker 1: nine eight seven. What do you think who's at fault?
- 4:19Speaker 1: What should what? What's her name again? Anymous Anonymousita? Let
- 4:23Speaker 1: us know what she should do? Here? On Big ninety
- 4:25Speaker 1: eight point seven, we.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Had an anonymous person ride in. She we're calling her Anonymousita,
- 4:35Speaker 2: and it's her boyfriend of almost a year who she
- 4:38Speaker 2: lives with. It's his class reunion and she assumed that
- 4:42Speaker 2: she was going to go, and then when she went
- 4:45Speaker 2: to confirm with him, he was like, no, you're not.
- 4:47Speaker 2: He did not invite her to go to this reunion,
- 4:50Speaker 2: and so she wants to know is she the problem?
- 4:53Speaker 2: Was she being presumptuous or is he the problem? Because
- 4:57Speaker 2: what do you mean You're not bringing me your girlfriend
- 4:59Speaker 2: of a year to your class reunion.
- 5:02Speaker 4: That's right, And we do have Alisha on the phone, Alisha,
- 5:05Speaker 4: what's up? But I just have some.
- 5:06Speaker 5: Input on our anonymous Tita.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I kind of think.
- 5:09Speaker 5: They're both to get the wrong. Actually, she was presides
- 5:14Speaker 5: making the assumption. She feels like, just be going. But
- 5:18Speaker 5: I do think it's a little weird that he is
- 5:20Speaker 5: not bringing her. If they live together and they bend
- 5:23Speaker 5: together that fall.
- 5:25Speaker 3: They're both the problem. I like that. I don't think
- 5:27Speaker 3: we've ever had that before.
- 5:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I feel like you should want to bring your
- 5:31Speaker 5: partner and show them.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Off that part. My reunion is next year, and.
- 5:38Speaker 2: I sure as heck I'm going to bring Mike and
- 5:40Speaker 2: be like, look.
- 5:40Speaker 3: At my mans.
- 5:41Speaker 5: I did imagine not having brought my boyfriend to my reunion.
- 5:45Speaker 5: I was showing him off, like crazy, look.
- 5:48Speaker 2: At my man.
- 5:49Speaker 1: That's right, because he looked better than all them crusty,
- 5:52Speaker 1: dusty dudes.
- 5:52Speaker 4: You went to school with right. Oh, oh, you know it.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Thank you for the call a Lisia. We appreciate it.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Here's the thing, though, we did get a text message
- 6:03Speaker 2: from Leah that maybe is on the boyfriend's side. She said,
- 6:07Speaker 2: maybe he wasn't popular in school and he doesn't have
- 6:11Speaker 2: any friends and he's embarrassed.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Could you I bet you feel real guilty right now
- 6:18Speaker 1: if you are blaming this fella for that. Okay, I
- 6:20Speaker 1: bet you feel terrible. This dude is clearly in the right.
- 6:24Speaker 1: You leave her at home, all right, Broday's.
- 6:29Speaker 4: Variety, Big ninety eight point seven.
- 6:31Speaker 1: It's gave an Angie a lot more fall like today
- 6:34Speaker 1: sunshine and fifty nine, which for Angie is almost like
- 6:37Speaker 1: a massive victory today.
- 6:39Speaker 2: This is so great to me because I live for
- 6:42Speaker 2: the fall weather.
- 6:43Speaker 3: I overheat.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I'm a hot blooded broad and so when it's chilly
- 6:49Speaker 2: to most, I'm like, Okay, I'm finally comfortable.
- 6:51Speaker 4: All right, that's where I'm ready to go. Yeah, all right.
- 6:55Speaker 1: We start off the show every day with some little victories.
- 6:57Speaker 1: We like practicing gratitude here on Big ninety eight point
- 6:59Speaker 1: seven because we think it's important. What's a little victory
- 7:05Speaker 1: you have, Angie? Boy do you have a lot to
- 7:06Speaker 1: choose from that involved me?
- 7:08Speaker 3: That is true, Gabe.
- 7:10Speaker 2: I feel like could we kind of joint celebrate victories
- 7:14Speaker 2: because I feel like we had an Angie moraless gave
- 7:17Speaker 2: Gliden mash up weekend. So on Saturday morning, I got
- 7:22Speaker 2: to go thrifting with your beautiful wife Corey, which actually
- 7:27Speaker 2: just turned to we went to the mall, but we
- 7:30Speaker 2: only shopped sale racks, and I feel like that's like
- 7:34Speaker 2: the compromise between thrifting shopping at the mall.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Did I hear you stock for your first time? Yes?
- 7:41Speaker 5: Stock.
- 7:42Speaker 2: No. I didn't even know what it was and I
- 7:43Speaker 2: had asked Corey. I was like, what is even this storm?
- 7:46Speaker 2: She goes, I honestly can't explain. You just have to
- 7:48Speaker 2: go in it. Yeah, I can't explain it. But there
- 7:51Speaker 2: was a victory there because I got myself a new
- 7:54Speaker 2: flannel for Flannel Friday.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Yeah, so that was great.
- 7:59Speaker 2: But then also we had you guys over for game night,
- 8:03Speaker 2: which was so fun.
- 8:05Speaker 4: I'll what is your little victory, I'll let you like
- 8:08Speaker 4: take over.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Well, I was just I was gonna jump on board
- 8:11Speaker 1: with this. I was in a kind of piggyback. Yeah, Saturday,
- 8:14Speaker 1: we went to Angi's house. Corey and I and just
- 8:17Speaker 1: had dinner in a game night and hung out with
- 8:19Speaker 1: you and Mikey and the two boys. And then Sunday
- 8:23Speaker 1: it was the boys turn to run around. I went
- 8:26Speaker 1: golfing yesterday. We both made a long putton. We each
- 8:30Speaker 1: got a birdie on one hole yesterday, which is always
- 8:32Speaker 1: kind of the goal. Hey, can I get one birdie
- 8:34Speaker 1: and we'll take it? And we did that while listening
- 8:38Speaker 1: to the Vike's playing golf.
- 8:39Speaker 3: What a great weekend.
- 8:41Speaker 2: I will say this, Mikey has a huge sweet tooth
- 8:45Speaker 2: and your wife made this amazing like no baked cheesecake,
- 8:51Speaker 2: delicious sweet treat dip that you can like dip apples
- 8:54Speaker 2: in it. Yeah, yeah, Karma white chocolate chips like it
- 8:59Speaker 2: was just a really gorgeous dip. And my family devoured yes,
- 9:06Speaker 2: especially in the middle of the night. I knew Mike
- 9:09Speaker 2: he was going to wake up at one in the
- 9:10Speaker 2: morning and go in the fridge and get down on
- 9:12Speaker 2: this like sweet treat dip, So he was very happy.
- 9:15Speaker 2: We were all very impressed with all the treats that
- 9:17Speaker 2: you guys brought over.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it was definitely all Corey's doing. Actually, I contributed
- 9:22Speaker 1: zero to that I carried the bag, so okay, see
- 9:25Speaker 1: I tried to do something.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Oh and then the last thing is that you and
- 9:29Speaker 2: my eight year old Liam created a hand We.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Got a little secret hands secret hands secret.
- 9:37Speaker 2: No because also I took a video of it and
- 9:39Speaker 2: I posted it to the Big ninety eight point seven
- 9:41Speaker 2: Facebook page. If you want to see Gabe and Liam's handshake.
- 9:44Speaker 2: It's so adorable.
- 9:45Speaker 1: He was so happy. It was a big moraless glitten
- 9:49Speaker 1: weekend call it.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Who knew?
- 9:51Speaker 2: We're friends in real life?
- 9:55Speaker 1: Friday, Big ninety eight point seven. It's Gabe and Angie.
- 9:58Speaker 1: We've got a very fall like day today. Some would
- 10:01Speaker 1: argue the first day that has really felt like fall,
- 10:03Speaker 1: sunshine and high of fifty nine here today and Angie.
- 10:08Speaker 4: I have been reading some of.
- 10:09Speaker 1: The reviews on the Taylor Swift album that song in particular, Yeah,
- 10:14Speaker 1: very interesting, some of these reviews on this new Taylor
- 10:16Speaker 1: Swift album.
- 10:17Speaker 2: I feel like the opinions on this are like polar opposite,
- 10:22Speaker 2: like either you hate it or you love it.
- 10:25Speaker 3: And I'm no Swifty, but I love it.
- 10:28Speaker 2: I feel like there's a lot of discourse about Oh,
- 10:30Speaker 2: but the lyrics isn't she supposed to be a lyricist,
- 10:33Speaker 2: blah blah blah, and it's like you guys decided that
- 10:36Speaker 2: Taylor Shift just makes the music. I feel like, in
- 10:40Speaker 2: this life, I have loved many a song that don't
- 10:44Speaker 2: say anything particularly deep. It's just like a fun song.
- 10:48Speaker 2: So I feel like a lot of people are very
- 10:50Speaker 2: pressed about it in a way that like, if you
- 10:54Speaker 2: don't like it, that's fine, and if you like it.
- 10:56Speaker 3: That's fine too.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Yeah, there's no right or wrong answer. Yeah, it's just subjected.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I feel like it's interesting, you know, for the most
- 11:03Speaker 1: for the most part, for most of the albums Taylor
- 11:06Speaker 1: has put out. I feel like most people or especially
- 11:09Speaker 1: Taylor Swift fans, you know, they love him.
- 11:12Speaker 4: It's the greatest or what have you.
- 11:13Speaker 1: And the people who dislike them are just haters or
- 11:16Speaker 1: they're you know, fifty year old men who she doesn't
- 11:19Speaker 1: write songs for.
- 11:20Speaker 4: Yeah, what I mean.
- 11:21Speaker 1: And it's kind of interesting just to see some of
- 11:23Speaker 1: the reviews and you know, first, first things first, Okay,
- 11:27Speaker 1: Taylor Swift is a billionaire, all right, She's wiping her
- 11:30Speaker 1: tears with one hundred dollars bills.
- 11:33Speaker 4: But I feel like this.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Is the first the first time where like more than
- 11:39Speaker 1: just haters are kind of like, eh, good try not
- 11:42Speaker 1: the not this one for me.
- 11:44Speaker 4: You know, I've never seen that.
- 11:45Speaker 2: That is true, because there are Swifties who are like, uh,
- 11:49Speaker 2: turning on her, so to speak, like yeah, but you
- 11:51Speaker 2: know what, not you're a favorite artist, isn't always gonna
- 11:54Speaker 2: come up with bangers that you love every time. I
- 11:57Speaker 2: will say this, a lot of people are saying, like,
- 12:00Speaker 2: I don't like Taylor Swift in love, like that that's
- 12:03Speaker 2: affecting the music or whatever. For me, I'm finally in
- 12:08Speaker 2: like the best relationship of my life.
- 12:10Speaker 3: So this is the album where I'm like super like, yeah,
- 12:13Speaker 3: I feel you, Taylor. We're so happy.
- 12:15Speaker 1: We were kinna joking here earlier, Angie I was saying,
- 12:18Speaker 1: you know, poor Taylor Swift, right, she's just gotta write
- 12:22Speaker 1: man hating albums for the rest of her life for
- 12:24Speaker 1: people to like these. She can't just have a nice
- 12:26Speaker 1: swap love album about Travis Kelsey.
- 12:29Speaker 3: She cannot. I will Oh.
- 12:30Speaker 2: This is another thing is that everyone like if the
- 12:34Speaker 2: new thing is we don't like in love Taylor, because
- 12:37Speaker 2: then the music is in his like heart wrenching and whatever.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Is this a safe time for her to then pivot
- 12:43Speaker 2: and maybe just like sing songs that other.
- 12:46Speaker 3: People have written.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Let Bruno Mars and Chris Stapleton write you a couple joints.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Yeah, but then will people be mad that No, because
- 12:54Speaker 2: her songs used to be so personal about her.
- 12:56Speaker 3: She can't just pivot now you know what I was
- 12:58Speaker 3: gonna say. She did?
- 13:00Speaker 2: She does, Damned she doesn't, except for this woman is
- 13:02Speaker 2: always winning because she is so rich.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Honey, thank you and bras On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 13:14Speaker 1: It is back, and it is bigger and better than ever.
- 13:18Speaker 1: This is the thirteenth year you have been helping the
- 13:23Speaker 1: Essentia Health Cancer Center and comfort care items for patients.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Thirteen years people have been doing this yere in the
- 13:30Speaker 1: FM area, and Angie and I get to participate in
- 13:33Speaker 1: our very first one this year, and we're very excited
- 13:35Speaker 1: about it.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Yees, super exciting, and we're teaming up with Essentia Health Foundation,
- 13:39Speaker 2: DS Beverages and Corwin Automotive Group four bras On Big
- 13:44Speaker 2: and essentially we want you to help with providing these
- 13:49Speaker 2: cancer care comfort items to those who are going through
- 13:54Speaker 2: cancer treatment and coming up, we're actually going to have
- 13:57Speaker 2: someone in studio, someone who went through these treatments and
- 14:01Speaker 2: who benefited from these comfort items that you can help provide.
- 14:05Speaker 1: That's exactly right, and it's you know, all month long,
- 14:08Speaker 1: and Angie and I have actually tried one of the
- 14:11Speaker 1: Neutral Cranberry vodka seltzers with DZ Beverages and they're so delicious.
- 14:18Speaker 4: If you're out and about and you just want a.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Nice sipper for dinner or whatever, grab yourself one of
- 14:24Speaker 1: those and enjoy your dinner. And you know that you're
- 14:26Speaker 1: helping to provide some of these comfort care items.
- 14:29Speaker 2: That's right, because a dollar for every purchased case and
- 14:32Speaker 2: ten cents of every draft beer or can of Neutral
- 14:36Speaker 2: will be donated to bras On Big to help those
- 14:39Speaker 2: going through cancer treatment with comfort items thanks to ds Beverages.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Yes, I found this out on Friday when we were
- 14:53Speaker 1: done with the show, Otherwise I would have shared it
- 14:55Speaker 1: with you on Friday. But for over forty years, Gary
- 15:00Speaker 1: the Haskins was the man behind the wheel driving the
- 15:04Speaker 1: Moorhead Spud Boys hockey team across Minnesota through snowstorms, back
- 15:11Speaker 1: roads long nights on Interstate ninety four. Originally, he's from Enderland,
- 15:16Speaker 1: North Dakota, and Gary started his career in banking before
- 15:19Speaker 1: switching gears to bus driving after a suggestion from clients
- 15:23Speaker 1: Jay and Mark richards So from nineteen eighty three to
- 15:27Speaker 1: twenty twenty two he became a fixture of Morehead athletics,
- 15:31Speaker 1: known for his dedication and countless road stories. One memorable
- 15:35Speaker 1: trip involved a blinding snowstorm near Crookston where the coach
- 15:40Speaker 1: offered to walk the road's white line to guide the bus.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Wow and offer, Gary politely declined as he safely steered
- 15:49Speaker 1: the bus home.
- 15:50Speaker 4: Who would have thought?
- 15:51Speaker 1: You know, there's just amazing people doing amazing things all
- 15:53Speaker 1: the time in the FM area and you might just
- 15:56Speaker 1: not know.
- 15:57Speaker 2: I am always wildly impressed when anyone's career has to
- 16:02Speaker 2: do with driving. As a bad driver, I'm so fascinated
- 16:07Speaker 2: that someone could like do this for a living and
- 16:10Speaker 2: do a great job at it.
- 16:11Speaker 3: That's amazing.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I wonder if at that point, I mean, I
- 16:13Speaker 1: would assume he kind of just it's almost like it
- 16:15Speaker 1: becomes part of the team in a way. You know,
- 16:17Speaker 1: they see him every day that they got to get
- 16:19Speaker 1: on the bus.
- 16:21Speaker 4: What's up, Gary? You know what I'm saying as they
- 16:23Speaker 4: walk on the bus.
- 16:23Speaker 1: So very very cool story and awesome that those kids
- 16:27Speaker 1: have gary safely navigating the treacherous snowstorms in northern Minnesota.
- 16:32Speaker 1: All Right, the world's full of nice people. If you
- 16:33Speaker 1: can't find one, you gotta be one.
