- Shamus: Ready, buddy? Yep. All Herbie: Yeah. Shamus: right. Three, two, one. Ta-da! Welcome to the new and improved version of the pork roll egg and cheese podcast. My name is Seamus. Herbie: Her b Shamus: And as always, you could be anywhere in the world, but you're here with us. And for that, we thank you. Herbie: Yeah, definitely. Shamus: we finally did it, man. Yeah. We finally made it to video. Video kids. What do you think? How does it feel? Herbie: Yeah, it's good. It feels nice. Very nice. To like tiger. It does. Like it. Shamus: Yeah, it's it's been a long time coming, man. It's been a long road. It's been about four months since we decided to make this jump. And after construction and, you know, pulling some hairs out and a couple curse words here and there and half a bottle of whiskey, here we are. Herbie: So eat it, Shauna. We did the video. She was always asking, Where are you going to the video? Shamus: Yeah, I got a lot of that too. Yeah. Herbie: but thank you, Shauna. Yeah, Shamus: Yeah, thank all of our fans. Herbie: all you guys, man. This is awesome that you guys actually still listen, so we're gonna keep doing it and we want you and sit back and enjoy the show. Shamus: Yeah, we I kinda wanted to start off the new era of the P Rec by, you know, thanking not only our fans, our audience, all the people who wrote in the meal bag, the people that helped us out along the way. I've got a lot of advice from different people, even at my new job. Yeah. They have a tech department and a photography department there that were tremendous in helping me out with any information I need and stuff like that. But like I said, without the fans I I wouldn't even call fans because I mean that makes us sound like we have an ego on some shit. But you know, the people that just watch, just to hear some of the goofy shit that we say and write in and stuff, we want to thank you. We also want to thank every guest that has been a part of this, the first fifty episodes. I know we touched on it in the last episode, but I mean, these guys gave up, you know, time away from their families, time away from their small businesses or you know, time doing whatever, just to come in here to help us out and to give you guys something to listen to. And and I know we help push their brand and all that stuff like that. But I mean we we owe a tremendous debt to everybody who's given the time come in and talk to us. So Herbie: Man, just hanging out. Shamus: Yeah. And like I said, it without them, I mean we wouldn't have anything to talk about. We wouldn't be here. Herbie: I mean no, there's always stuff for us to talk about, trust me. Shamus: No, absolutely. But like I said, I wouldn't have s I probably wouldn't have even started a podcast if I wasn't like I said to scooper hero guys. Yeah. Not to pooper scoopers. Like I said in the last episode for that I apologize, Barry and Andrew. But like I saw their advertisement and I was just kinda like How do you get into that line of work and da da da da? And I just kind of like and I'm sure I'm not I'm sure I'm not the only person that thinks this way. And that's when I was just like, okay, I want to do a podcast now. And I'd gone up, and we'll touch on this in a minute. With I went on a previous podcast, and I was like, man, I kind of got butt bit by the bug. And I was like, now who could I ask to help me out with this? Because I need a partner. Nobody just wants to see me. And who better than Pure podcast gold. And that's not my words. That's an exact quote from somebody else. Herbie: That's not true. This is that I'm goofy and stuff. And I'm you know, I'm always I'm down to hanging out with you anytime. Shamus: no doubt. No doubt. So and like I like I said before, we just wanted to thank everybody for coming in. Whether it was they came in and told us about their jobs, we had come people come in and tell us about their, you know, their hobbies, their small businesses. we had somebody come in, Miss Charlene came in and told our, you know, her story, her personal story, just to help some people out if they have any questions, stuff like that. and because of that I think they are gonna s they're gonna do a spin off podcast from us. They're gonna do their own podcast, that's in the works, and we will keep you guys posted on that. let you know where you can reach them when they finally get their act well, not act together, make it sound like a dad or a teacher or something. But once they once they get once they get organized and they get going, I'm gonna help out a little bit. we'll let you guys know where you can, you know, find their podcast if that's something you're into. Herbie: Not only that too, man. Actually, thank you to the people that actually are listening, that are watching now, and also the people that are agreed to do more future interviews with us. So. Shamus: I was just gonna get to that too. We already got some pretty cool guests scheduled for the month of October. It's pretty much booked. we have the crew from Exciting and New coming in. They're exciting and New podcast. like I mentioned like two seconds ago. They were the first ones who had me on a podcast. first one I they what they do is review movies. I went up there and did Commando, I think was my first movie. And I was kind of hooked after that and I think I went back for a second movie. I think that was during their Halloween thing. It was for Fright Night and I like, Yeah, I'm definitely doing this. So they're responsible for this. Good. So just wanna give them a shout out because like I said without them we wouldn't be here. Herbie: Yeah, Jason was yeah, we and we known Jason for like forever and another Shamus: Sure. Herbie: reason why we got the porkwell leg and cheese thing was the song. Shamus: Halloween sucks, Jay. So But they're coming in to help us out with our Halloween special. on that episode, we'll talk about horror movies, some of our favorite horror movies, some of the most popular ones, all that stuff like Herbie: Costumes. Shamus: that. Yeah, we're probably gonna dress up a little bit. I don't know about them, but I know me and Herbie are. I know Herbie. And Herbie: Herbie definitely will. Shamus: we know we'll you know, get their background, why they started a podcast and all that stuff like that, and who they are and what they do for a living and all that. Stuff. we've had Jay on before for our Star Wars episode. and we had him on for something else, too. Was it just Star Wars or Herbie: Well he he we did we did the Star Wars one twice 'cause I wasn't able to make the first one. So re we shot that one and then I think we were talking about autographs and stuff like that too. 'Cause like he goes to Comic Comic Shamus: I was gonna say I know he came down and told us about the nine thousand autographs 'cause he's one of those guys that collects that stuff. and his collection is absolutely amazing. Herbie: So many people dude. I'm like jelly. Shamus: I'll have to go back and look, but I'm they're coming in for a Halloween special. we got my buddy TJ coming in. He owns a security company, whether it's personal security, club security, like I think he covers a lot of that gambit. we'll have a lot to discuss because I've work in that line of work now. through, you know, school security. he also owns a an art company. I think it's called Oceans Creations. and he does pretty cool stuff with stuff he finds. I he lives down near the Jersey store. And he makes art out of you know seashell stuffs he finds along the the shorebanks. Yeah. Not diapers and needles, but like organic sea stuff. So he's coming in to tell us all about that. And not only is he a friend of the show, but I've known that dude for over 30 years. it started back in elementary school when we went to St. Peter's in Riverside. went to high school together, graduated high school together. so we his cousins are really good friends with my brother, his older cousins. So I mean We've kind of been intertwined for a long time. Yeah, he's a good dude, man, and I'm glad he's coming on. It it's been a while since I've seen him. He's had a pretty tremendous journey journey. I don't know if he wants to talk about it. I'll let him figure that out when he gets here. But it'll be good to see him and I'm glad he's coming in. So and like I said, we got other people lined up. there's two or three other people I've got lined up that we're just kind of trying to work out what we're calling the dates. Herbie: That's pretty much all it really is. So there are so many people that say yes. Shamus: And I was gonna say I know you got a couple of people you're working on now on down. Herbie: Well, like we both know so many people and that's another great thing that we have the ammunition to do the podcast 'cause we know so many Shamus: It's like I said, the list is like you said, it's not about finding people. The list is absolutely insane. Which is it's just nailing these people down, pulling them away from like I said earlier, pulling them away from their families or their loved ones. With the holidays quickly approaching, it's gonna be a little bit harder to do. But yeah, we're gonna try. It's like I said, October's already booked up and everybody else seems pretty excited about the video part of this. So we'll see how many people we can get up in here. And you know. Keep it interesting for you guys. Herbie: We will, don't worry. Shamus: All right. I guess we'll take a quick break. All right. When we get back, we'll talk about the set, what you're looking at, how it came to be, and what it's all about. We'll be right back. Hey, everybody. Welcome back to the Pork Roll Egg and Cheese podcast. Glad you're still with us. Hopefully you're still with us. Yeah. So all right. What this segment's going to be about is about the set, what you're looking at, how it came to be, how it was built, why it was built, and how it's ever, it'll be ever evolving. It'll constantly change and move. you'll see some of the figures switched out and everything like that. This started with we had already started the audio vodka. I was working at Olsen Middle School in Tabernacle. I've since moved on. One day we were talking about going to video and I was just like, okay, what does that look like? Da da da and I was walking the halls of that school while everybody was supposed to be in class and I was thinking to myself, I don't want to do, you know, two guys and and I'm not kicking anybody's back in or anything like that. you know, I d I didn't want to do the two guys in front of one camera kind of deal. I didn't want to do, you know, just iPhone kind of deal or I wanna do something that, you know, I Not only us, 'cause I mean we're ugly. So w we want to draw your eye away from Away Herbie: So yeah. Shamus: from that. You know, and as you're listening to us talk and all that stuff, maybe kind of wander and, you know, okay, what's going on in the background? So and this is what I came up with. This is what my brain kind of manufactured. As I was thinking that, some of the maintenance guys at OMS were throwing away that year's like they do like a play. Yeah. Herbie: Isn't it? Shamus: And they were throwing away the background. set so these were act these are actually on wheels and stuff like that but it had like different backgrounds and I was like what and I was like what do you guys do with that and they were just like hey we're throwing it out they're done with I was like really they're not gonna repurpose that and they're like no and this is probably why they don't have any money anymore but they were just like I'll school buy all new stuff next year. So I was just like well don't throw it out I said can I come back and get it and they're like what are you gonna do with it and you I told them I was gonna go I'm gonna build a set for a podcast and they're like Yeah man So I started grabbing all the wood and stuff that they throw out and started building this. And then I was driving home from work one day and they were ripping down a house down the street and they had these granite or I think they're marble or quartz. These are Herbie: I know they're very freaking heavy. Shamus: Yeah. they were throwing these out. Some of them have cracks in them. I don't know if you could see. I had to do the epoxy thing, which was a Herbie: Yeah. Shamus: I I I just happened to stop and I was like, Hey, what are you guys doing? Those and guy was like, We're throwing them out. You want them? And I was just like, sure. And of course, me being me, I have the gym membership. I got out and was like, I was just like, You want me to get some of the boys? And I was like, That would be great. Yeah. So they helped me load it up and I went back with a case of beer. I'm like, here you guys go. And so we you know, we got that from there. all the wood and stuff like that. I did have to use a couple new pieces behind the thing. I mean, these are really heavy. So we had to get some four by fours, but like a lot of the stuff is all repurposed. Not that we're, you know, super psycho about re you know gr going green or recycling and stuff like that. But you know, it's kind of nice to help the planet out as much as you can. If you can. And and actually saved me a couple bucks too. So Herbie: Now we upcycled. Shamus: yeah. And a couple of the rummage. there's a place, and I'm gonna give them a shout out. They probably have no idea. I'll probably mention it next time I'm in there. There's a place right up the street from me on the corner of Hartford and Old Marlon or Old Medford Pike or Marlon Pike, I forget what it's right across from the Goodwill. It's called A and W Clean Out Services. What they do is they go into people's homes. Like usually elderly people or estate sales and stuff like that. Or, you know, if you just have a bunch of junk in your attic and stuff, they'll come up clean it out. And what they do is they repurpose it too. So they'll clean it up and they put it on their shelves. And it's kind of like a permanent yard sale there every Saturday from eight to two. Herbie: I like A and W cream soda. Shamus: I do too. I do too. I haven't had that in a while. Herbie: Like in the back of my mind I'm like, cream soda. I like cream soda. Nothing against like you know, refurbishing and stuff like that, but Shamus: Reach out, maybe it'll sponsor us. Herbie: yeah. Shamus: But that's where I got the bookcase from. I got the T V from there. most of the toys me and you have had. Yeah. but like some of the games I've you know, I kinda lost. So we picked up some of that stuff. And if you look, we're not gonna go through everything, but if you look, some of the stuff we actually talked about in some of our previous episodes. Herbie: Easter eggs, especially for all the nerds. The other people are just like, Okay, we know. We you guys are a bunch of geeks. Tell us some funny stories or something, but yeah, this is Shamus: I d I will say this though, my favorite piece is Eddie the trooper holding the pork roll, egg, and cheese flag. Yeah. That that's pretty well. Somebody gave me that idea. I bought the statue, but somebody's hey man, you should put like a fucking pork roll egg and cheese flag on that thing. And I was like, Ugh. So for all you collectors out there, don't freak out. What I did was the staff with the British flag is still here. You just kinda unconnected it and I made that little wood staff and printed that out and weathered it and so I still have the staff so it's still in mint condition. Herbie: Someone might say though it's still out of the box. Shamus: Exactly. But that's it. That's how I bought it. It was already open. Herbie: Yeah. Shamus: But yeah, this was at at times it was frustrating and like I'd like to rip my hair out, but in the same sense it was a lot of fun doing it. Like Herbie helped me out a lot. you helped me when I needed help. Like you put all the you put all the Herbie: This guy. Shamus: these aren't real bricks, obviously. Those aren't real aren't real Herbie: Seven percent. Shamus: wood planks on the thing, so Herbie helped me with the sticker part of it. Herbie: Yeah, that would that was it, dude. Like you Shamus: You know how frustrating that shit is lining that up? Herbie: He did everything. I'm just the little chubby dude that sits right next to him and just just just yammers on about Dino Nuggets and little Debbie Christmas tree cakes. I do love little Debbie Christmas tree cakes though. Shamus: Yeah, we know about that, brother. So But yeah, it's Yeah it's like I said, it's something that'll just constantly evolve. Every once in a while you just have to look around and see what's behind us because something might change or something might move. A different like a character might have a different pos. Yeah or you know, you never know. It's like what was that movie? not Toy Story, but like Toy Soldiers and stuff where he was talking and like every time he looked back he was in a different pose or something like this. Herbie: But yeah, this this guy put a lot into this people. So we hope that you enjoy the show. You finally get to see the video. Shamus: It's I said, I wanted to do something that I didn't want to do, like I said, sitting in front of a computer talking with like just like a webcam and stuff. And like I said, no disrespect to those guys. Me, I'm always Gene Simmons said it best. you know, if you're gonna go, you know, if you're gonna do something, do it in a way where you show like this is how the big boys do it. Like this is you don't half ass anything and you you you you get a vision and you just run with it. Herbie: I gotta give credit to this guy. Shamus: I didn't want to do like the imp shout out. I'd I love that. The between two ferns thing with yeah. I forget. I can't even pronounce that guy's name. Yeah. Herbie: California. Shamus: I mean that's kind of a cool set and stuff, but I I just wanted to do something that I'm sure somebody else has something similar, but Herbie: It is. It's it's so simple too, but you got like frickin' Brad Pitt and everyone else that comes on the show. So it's So Shamus: on Galvanacasel? Yeah. Yeah. Herbie: it's you know, we gotta jazz ours up a little bit. We're not famous or nothing, man. We're just Shamus: Yeah. That's like I said, I wanted to give you guys something to look at while we talk. keep you interested. And like I said, bring bring some new fresh perspective to a podcast. Herbie: There's probably people from like, you know, Arizona and Florida, everybody else. This is but it's not really what all South Jersey people look like. So don't run. Don't wanna, you know, we might invite you to c you know, South Jersey to go we're Shamus: We're a pretty big example. I mean if you think we're ugly, you should see them fucks in central Jersey. Yeah. The mythical land of central Herbie: Defined line in that place, man. Jesus. We still gotta talk about like you know the thing with the Creek Angels and stuff too, man. Like we should we probably should have done like an audio thing because we gotta go on location to take video of like the Creek Angels. Shamus: No, then we don't have to do the audio part of it. We should have kept it for now. Herbie: I should have got like a b I actually got a big net. So maybe Mike could be able to do like a thing where like almost like capture, tag and release type deal. Okay. And then have like a map. Shamus: Well, like hold that thought monitor. When we come back, we're gonna tell you guys about what you can expect down the road. Yeah. And what our expectations of this podcast. Like what do you want to get out of it and all that stuff like that? So we'll be right back after these messages from our sponsors. we're back. That's right, we're back. And hopefully you're still with us. Yeah. So this is our first video episode ever. So if the editing's a little choppy or something like that, just yeah, just bear with us. I went back this week as I was walking the halls of my new school and I listened to I mean early P Rec, bro. Yeah. Early March. April. And I was like, my God, this sounds horrible. Like you'd be like all sudden you'd be like, I I I like the voices would change like 'cause the editing was I was so bad at it. but then I listened to like the last five and I was like, Man, I really got a handle on that. So it'll probably be the same thing for the video part. So j you know, just give me, you know, couple episodes to Herbie: Kinda like hard to regulate TV. I'm a little spazzed too. But I I don't move too much. Which is good. I'm not like jumping up like I normally do. Stationary, so Shamus: No, it'll pick it up anyway. These cameras are actually pretty so good when you took your hat off, I was like ho Herbie: God, yeah. It used to be back in the day that this was actually just my look. Now it's a necessity 'cause I'm freaking bald underneath here, man. I swear to God I was actually hoping that the Puerto Rican half of me was just gonna hold on to those hair follicles and never let go, but after a while Shamus: Yeah, you could actually see where the hair file colon still was. And so I was like, man, these cameras are the shit, bro. These cameras are and then I thought to myself, Herbie: Yeah. Shamus: I'm gonna look horrible. But I mean that's a Herbie: You still got your hair, bro. Shamus: Well, I got a buddy of mine at work, shout out to Tr Sergeant Carr, who lives in Florida now. He me he was like, Man, you got fucking hair like a deer, bro. I was like, what are you talking about? He's like, check this shit out. He took a water bottle and he dripped some water on and it just beat it off. He's like, That's like deer hair, bro. That shit doesn't even go wet, it just beered. He was like you could stand. He was like, You and Jimmy Johnson for the Cowboys, like old coach from back in the day. He's like, You guys can stand in front of wind turbine, man. Yeah, that shit doesn't move. Herbie: Lucky Lucky. I look like the frickin' turtle shell, man. Shamus: And of course he's bald. So that's where yeah, that's where all that hate comes from. Herbie: Others. You know what I mean? Shamus: so what we got coming up in the next couple hopefully months is you know we're gonna bring some more guests in. if you guys have we're gonna have guests with small businesses, people who do interesting jobs who work for big corporations, we're gonna have people, you know, Fortnite, you know, Pokemon cards. Just like anybody Herbie: Turn event. Shamus: who has like any kind of you know, unique high I don't want to say weird. Any kind of you know, unique hobby or because I mean it could be weird to us, but it's unique to other people. True. I was told one time I you know, in that movie Revenge of the Nerds, I would have been one of the athletes. I'd have been one of those nerds. So Yeah, so I don't at this age, at this point in my life, I don't want to disrespect anybody. but if you have a unique hobby Herbie: Something interesting, you know, like people wanna hear about interesting stuff. Shamus: It's like I said, we have a pretty good list already, but we're always down for, you know, any ideas. Yeah. And you can hit us on our mailbag at team porcroll two five at gmail dot com and just drop any kind of I know one of our listeners down in Tampa, Miss Amanda, said she has a friend who's an artist who Herbie: yeah, we're gonna be able to have a lot more. Shamus: it's gonna take me a while to figure out, but maybe we can do like a video segment where we're gonna have people, you know, just pop up on this T V screen and we can talk to them. Yeah. I mean, besides the little logo things, which I think is pretty cool. Herbie: Yeah, this thing is dope. Shamus: we're gonna have people, you know, do a video interview, hopefully on there. I don't know, we'll figure it out. And like I said, anybody that we think is interesting, positive, always positive. There's no politics, there's no religion still. Yeah. and like I said, we're gonna have some friends swing by tell us, you know, about stuff like the Creek Angels and yeah, Scoby Ducks. Herbie: Yep. Shamus: Dunked cabbage and crock pot soup and all that shit. Herbie: Especially in South Jersey, man. It runs a plenty. Shamus: Yeah. And then we're gonna do you know, holiday episodes, like I said. the crew from Exciting and New podcast is gonna come in and help us out with our Halloween special. We're gonna do I guess small Thanksgiving special because that holiday is always overlooked because I went into Lowe's the other day and somebody actually there is a an Instagram. I'll have to bring it up. we'll give them a shout out to I can't remember. Herbie: About how it's all mixed together. Shamus: It's they do this battle where like the Christmas shit at Lowe's is across from the Halloween and somebody's like, What's your name? Herbie: He's like, What? What? Shamus: I was crying, dude. It was like the Santa Claus and the dude from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Jack, whatever his name is. There we go. I was crying, bro. But but like there's no thank you don't see any inflatable turkeys anymore. You don't see like the you know, animatronic pilgrims and Indians and shit. So we are gonna do a small Thanksgiving special because that is one of my favorite well, it was one of my favorite holidays. And then of course the whole month of Christmas we'll probably just just touch on Christmas and you know, we'll also talk to Herbie: Bring the holidays back. I mean, every like if you really think about it touche, I'm like the the way the holidays are done now, it's almost like they're trying to like quietly phase them out. But guess what? We're keeping them and we're doing them right. Shamus: And we're also going to pay respect to, you know, people who celebrate whether it's Kwanzaa or Hanukkah or Herbie: Stuff too. What's wrong with ours? I mean Jesus Christ. Shamus: Yeah, we can mention all them cats. Yeah. 'Cause one of my favorite Christmas songs the Herbie: I like turkey. Shamus: fucking Hanukkah song. yeah. And in part two is even better, I thought Herbie: All the all the all the holidays and stuff. But if you really it just like it just it's almost like everyone's trying to like rush through everything anymore. Take your time, relax. Shamus: Yeah, and then everybody gets to January and they're like, Herbie: What do we do now? Shamus: Yeah. shit, winter sucks. Yeah. And we got another two and a half months of it. Yeah. So, I mean, you got the Super Bowl in there, but I mean last year's Super Bowl after Yeah, man. Yeah. Herbie: If it's not your team, no one's really gonna care. Shamus: Well, it sucked last year and the commercial sucked last year. So but yeah, I mean that's what we're we're trying to do. We're trying to keep everybody interested, trying to give you guys content that you know keeps you interested, or maybe you learn something or Herbie: Yeah. And it's our perspective too. It's not like, you know, we don't know everything and stuff like that. So, you know, other people might say, Well, you said this. Like, well, yeah, but you know what? We don't know everything and neither do you. Shamus: Well that's why I like the I mean, we can like on some of our audio episodes, we'll take like a subject and me and you will just go back and forth on it. when guests come in, that's more I enjoy those because those are more fact oriented. Yeah. 'cause we're just asking questions. Yeah. How'd you get started in the business? How does that like when we were for again as an example, when we were talking to my buddy Paul, who owns Snipe's mobile window tinning and paintless dent removal. Give him a call for all your window tending needs and paintless dent removal. And he also does not just autos, but he does your house windows too if you need them tenant. Give him a call. I think his thing's down there. You're basing your qu like he's giving you facts, like, okay, what's the best kind of window tint? Not in your opinion. Like years. So you we are giving you a lot of facts and knowledge. now sometimes he'll you know, if he goes, Well, I like this tent's the best, but I like working with this tent. It I think it works better. I mean, that's his opinion. Yeah. so but I mean you guys are all entitled to your opinion, or if you think one of our guests is, you know, selling bullshit or something, you know, write in, let us know. Yeah. I mean, most of the time. Not that I'm selling bullshit, but I'm just we just bullshitting. Herbie: Some people might not like dino nuggies. Okay. I mean I don't do them all the time. Shamus: My dude Sharky. I'm waiting to hear back from next. Herbie: Yeah, bro. I hope you enjoyed Air fried. Air fried. Shamus: Air fried. So Herbie: Debbie cakes. Shamus: So what are you expecting to get out of this, dude? Just to have a little and all that. Herbie: Basically just have a lot of fun. I'm like probably other people that I know gonna s you know, I'm sure they're gonna see this and either comment about it or say some things. Cause like even with the audio, everyone was saying, I like this episode and it was funny you guys said this and I remember when you said that and yo, you should actually talk about this because I remember I was there when you were talking about another topic type deal. Because there's so much stuff that you can talk about and cover. Like even just Even if you're saying like with your friends in high school, like a high school party, there's so much you can say and not just one story. There's like so many different side stories and stuff. So it's not like you know, just one fluid story. Shamus: Most of those days were a blur for me. You Herbie: yeah, well yeah. Shamus: know? Those are some good nights I just don't remember. I Herbie: Yeah, high school parties are the bomb. Shamus: have heard the stories though. People are like, Hey man, you remember that time? I'm like Bro, yeah you did it. Herbie: yeah, Yeah. Yo, you remember when you did No, I don't remember. But one buddy Steve's like too, man. Every time I say something, like from back in the day, he can like requote it. I'm like, I totally forgot that I said that. It was like just come up with like a lot of good memories. But it's you know, even for the listeners, I know I know we're just like basically giving you a rundown on on the show right now and it's probably not too eventful on this one, but we're just giving you a rundown and a breakdown and What you're gonna expect? Shamus: Yeah, this episode was just basically here. Ta-da. Yeah. Here we are. We finally made it. this is what you can expect. This is a this is the set. This is how we build it. This what here's what we got coming up, and here's what to expect. Herbie: Where they'd be like, This is what they look like? Go back to audio. Shamus: I was gonna do the jerky boys things like three, two, one and turn around with the smiley face with hoods. Herbie: But like they know that's what they look like. We well like all South Jersey people don't look like us. We're not too bad though. I mean, we're not bad. We're all right. Yeah, Shamus: Mom I was cute. Herbie: my mom said I was a pretty baby, so that got that going for me. Shamus: Another thing we're gonna do is if anybody's interested, we'll probably give away to guests if you come in. But we got coffee mugs coming in with the podcast logo. We have new stickers coming out. I think the ones we had before were three inches. They were kind of small. I know a lot of people like to put on their tumblers or whatever the fuck. Herbie: That's actually cool too 'cause Shamus: I think I have a couple left. You can take them to we'll split up with but we have the five inch guys coming in because I put a three inch on the back of my car and I'm like, Man, that looks dumb as fuck. That's kinda Herbie: So well it's cool, but like it's it's just basically it's just getting the word out. And then thankfully a lot of people took them and not really just took just to take and you find them like on the floor. You know, it's almost like, you know, the people that hand out little pamphlets out on the street and everyone's just like, if they take it, they just throw it in the trash or something. But people are actually keeping these and I see people wearing them and putting them applying them to things, which is awesome. Shamus: It keeps them out of the junk mail category. Okay. Herbie: Yeah. Shamus: But yeah, if we got stickers coming, we got coffee mugs. kind of in the works with a a well, we try to do we try to help small businesses as much as we can, especially local businesses here in Medford. I reached out to funny how how life works. I was talking to one of the lunch ladies, the food server ladies at the high school that I work at now and You know, we were talking about the podcast. She was just kinda laying. I said, you know, I was looking for somebody to do shirts because they do have a good fashion thing at that school at that school. It's like a college campus there. Yeah. And she was just like, my daughter and her son have a print shop, like a screen, like screw whatever to call that. Yeah. And I was like, Really? And she was like, Yeah. So the next day she came in with like a little card that had a QR code on it and I scanned it and I reached out to them and she was just like, Yeah, this is what we do and this is what we're capable of. Cause like some of these have like multiple colors to them. Yeah. I mean, like some of these mom pop shops just have like that one color print. But she was Yeah, we can do anything you want. They 3D printing, they do all that stuff like that. But we've already have a 3D printer guy, and that's my man John Bob Woodworks. And we'll hopefully he's coming in. He's the guy who printed up that big ass Lego Batman for me on the 3D printer. Thank you, Mr. John. But yeah, we're in discussions and talks about t shirts. We're gonna get a couple of different varieties. Most of the stuff you see on the screen, we're gonna end up putting on a t shirt, frosting back. Yeah, different logos. So if anybody's interested in any kind of pork roll merchandise. Yeah. Not Taylor Ham. Pork roll. Let us know. that's on our mailbag or you know, hit me up on a text if you have my number. And we'll get that out to you as soon as we can. Or as soon as T shirts come in, I'll let you guys know. Herbie: Yeah. We're building everybody. We we're at video. We got merch. We got Shamus: No. Herbie: cats. His cats actually like the like the set too. So Shamus: my Herbie: God Yeah, they're the big fans of the of the set. Shamus: Yeah, they're about there. Herbie: Just knocking stuff. Just got blessed. Shamus: Yeah. So if like all of a sudden like beep, stay tuned. Herbie: What happened? Shamus: Well I guess that's it for this episode. Herbie: It's gonna fun, man. Yeah. Shamus: Yeah, I'm kind of excited, man. This is gonna be it's like I said, this episode might be a little bit boring, but like when we when we find Herbie: Start ramping up 'cause we have issues issues. Shamus: But we also haven't done we're cold. We're rusty. We haven't done this in like ten days. I think I forget when our last episode was, the audio episode. Herbie: Yeah, plus I think you know what, I think we're both coming down with a freaking cold, man, 'cause we're both sneffling. So we're just like Shamus: No, I work at a school, so I'm constantly fucking that already started in our school. They sent Herbie: It's the season, man. Like the weather's starting to, you know, cool down and stuff, which was a beautiful day today though. Shoulda went kayaking, but I know. Shoulda went kayaking with my friends. Shamus: Put that in chat GPT and tell them to make a song and they'll probably give you a song. So all right. Like I said, just want to thank everybody for the first 50 episodes. Thank you for being a part of the first video episode. You could find us on Apple Spotified still. I think when you click on the audio part, like you'll see the little window come up with us on there. and we do have a YouTube channel. Yeah. I forgot to put the QR code. Up on the screen and I will do that next episode. You can scan that, or you can just go to the pork roll egg and cheese on YouTube and we will be putting our episodes up there now too. Yeah. So and somebody told me this thing, they were like, We we do pretty decent numbers. Like I we're not making any money off of this or any of that stuff like that. But our numbers are pretty decent for a startup. For somebody who's only been doing this in March, and somebody told me, like, dude, when you hit YouTube, it's gonna probably double. Herbie: That'd be cool. Shamus: So once people can see you 'cause people want to watch, they just don't want to listen. Yep. Yeah. So Herbie: They wanna see shit. Shamus: Yeah, and that's why we built this the way we did. Herbie: Yeah, there's a lot of shit to see. There is a lot of shit to see. Shamus: So yeah, you can find us on Apple, Spotify, and YouTube. And I guess that's it for the first episode, brother. Herbie: God, the first episode on to many more. Shamus: Anything else, brother? Herbie: Yeah, man, just everybody, thank you. Keep watching. Like I said, like this one probably wasn't like that as eventful as, you know, some of the other ones or funny where people were laughing or you know, this one's almost like where like with the audio where you're not really gonna watch this driving home from work or anything like that. You know, maybe when you're flicking through your phone, you're just dead scrolling, you're on YouTube. Check us out. Give us a listen, man, because we're gonna keep doing this stuff. But you know, thanks everybody. Shamus: I almost forgot. I got a call the other night from Junk Mail Steve. Whoa. For those of you don't know or don't remember me mentioning this on a earlier podcast or audio podcast, Steve is a phenomenal musician. and he's one of those guys that once he gets his mind set on something, he's off and running with it. So I got a call at like ten o'clock at night one night. And I was like, my god, I hope this guy's not the You know, he's not down in the in the joint. I gotta go bet you know, bust him out or something. he called me super excited, said he'd worked all weekend. and he was wanted to know if he had carte blanche when it comes to our theme song. That's cool. And I told him, What are you thinking? And he said, Well, I want to do this, but I also wanted and I said, Man, come up with as many different versions as you can. And we'll sit down and Herbie: Yeah, take a listen. Shamus: I'll probably end up doing the drum part of it. Yeah. So Once Steve gets back, so that'll be changing too. I think we're gonna keep it the same way. It's just gonna be a little bit in Steve's kind of Herbie: Yeah. Shamus: yeah, no doubt. Yeah. So and Steve said he wants to keep the you know the bones and the frame of it, but maybe put some distortion and some stank on it. Yeah. So bowels. Herbie: Some b. Shamus: So that'll be changing too. And then other than that, man, thanks for being here. Yeah. This is what it is, and we hope you enjoy it. As always. Control the pet population, get your pet spayed or neutered. And a new thing I am going to do is leave y'all with a little bit of knowledge. Something I see. I have this thing on my phone that gives you like positive quotes and all that stuff like that. And I thought, what better way to end the show than to send you off into the world on a positive note? Somebody shit I don't even understand myself, but just think about it. All right. It's better to be a wolf everyone hates than a donkey everyone rides. Integrity above everything. Thanks for coming by, guys, and you guys have a great day. Herbie say goodbye. Herbie: Goodbye, everybody.
