Transcript
- 0:03Speaker 1: This is a podcast called twenty five whists Stuck in
- 0:07Speaker 1: football and they are war a whist so yet it's
- 0:10Speaker 1: too beat? But what did you expect? It's a podcast
- 0:14Speaker 1: called twenty five Whistles Wine twenty five Whistles presented by
- 0:20Speaker 1: DraftKings sports book and official sports betting partner of the NFL.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Download the DraftKings app and use to code Bobby Sports
- 0:26Speaker 1: to get in on the action. Wearing his podcast glove,
- 0:31Speaker 1: still rocking his Cowboys hat, blowing that whistle. Here's producer,
- 0:35Speaker 1: ready ahead. Oh that's how I feel, too, buddy. It's terrible.
- 0:38Speaker 1: It's terrible. Who has it worse? Me or Eddie or
- 0:45Speaker 1: fans of the Miami Hurricanes Hurricanes.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Hurricanes.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Maybe I mean it's not good. It's not good either way.
- 0:53Speaker 3: I mean, I think they're all the same for different reasons. Listen,
- 0:56Speaker 3: I'll go first. We lost again. We were I was
- 0:59Speaker 3: on stage age We're playing.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I was trying not to watch the game because I
- 1:02Speaker 1: want to focus on being on stage, and I walked
- 1:04Speaker 1: off during a little video montage and we wrought by
- 1:07Speaker 1: seven in the fourth quarter. Close fourth class, like, oh
- 1:09Speaker 1: we're gonna win this freaking game. Only watched the first
- 1:11Speaker 1: half before I got to go on stage and we
- 1:12Speaker 1: lost again, Arcas, I lost again. I hate it and
- 1:14Speaker 1: it sucks, and we're what two and four? Three? No, yeah,
- 1:21Speaker 1: it's two and four. Yeah. I don't want to say it,
- 1:24Speaker 1: it is. It sucks and I was trying to be helpful. Yeah,
- 1:26Speaker 1: it sucks. So anyway, I'm moving on. I did make
- 1:30Speaker 1: a lot of money on that game, though, because Arkansas covered.
- 1:32Speaker 1: I knew they would cover. Is my guarantee, so I
- 1:34Speaker 1: keep my money. Yep, I made it. I made good,
- 1:37Speaker 1: but but it sucks and it's kind of spoiled this
- 1:41Speaker 1: whole football season for me. Now, Eddie, you still have usually.
- 1:45Speaker 1: I was lost bad. It was really bad, really bad.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Really Cowboys lost bad. And I lost a lot of
- 1:49Speaker 1: money on the Cowboys because I kept betting more to go, like, oh,
- 1:52Speaker 1: for sure they're going to cover now fourteen by more
- 1:53Speaker 1: than goun cover for sure. But it was embarrassing for
- 1:56Speaker 1: you guys.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:58Speaker 3: It's it's to the point where, like I no longer
- 2:00Speaker 3: think we could win the Super Bowl.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Overnight.
- 2:03Speaker 3: I said, with this team, the way we played last
- 2:07Speaker 3: night and the way we lost the Cardinals, I just
- 2:09Speaker 3: don't think there's a chance.
- 2:10Speaker 1: The Cardinal though, wasn't fair you had you were missing
- 2:12Speaker 1: at least two linemen.
- 2:13Speaker 4: I know.
- 2:14Speaker 3: And we're still getting hurt. We got we lost four people,
- 2:16Speaker 3: five people yesterday too. I mean it's it's just at
- 2:19Speaker 3: this pace, we can no longer win the Super Bowl.
- 2:22Speaker 3: In my mind, we can make it to the playoffs
- 2:23Speaker 3: and probably get beat by San Francisco again.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Maybe though, if you go in as the two, you
- 2:29Speaker 1: don't play until the NFT Championship, right, and hopefully somebody
- 2:31Speaker 1: else can take them out, Yeah, or anything, anything's possible.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Eddie has been so moony and pissy this morning because
- 2:38Speaker 2: of his Cowboys.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Well it's the first time I've I've turned off a
- 2:41Speaker 3: Cowboys game.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I've never turned it off. I've never done that. That sucks.
- 2:46Speaker 1: But I couldn't watch the last eight minutes of the game.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm done. I'm considering not going to an
- 2:50Speaker 1: Arkansas game now later in the year that I was
- 2:52Speaker 1: planning on going to, just because I don't want to
- 2:54Speaker 1: go be sad.
- 2:57Speaker 3: So you got to look, you gotta look after your heart,
- 3:00Speaker 3: protend your heart.
- 3:01Speaker 1: I know. So being an Arkansas fan sucks. Being a
- 3:04Speaker 1: Cowboys fan sucks right now, although you guys are still
- 3:06Speaker 1: winning and you're still I still believe the Cowboys can
- 3:09Speaker 1: do it being a Patriots fan.
- 3:11Speaker 2: So it's awful, dud.
- 3:12Speaker 1: You guys got ran again.
- 3:13Speaker 2: We were very very very bad, very bad.
- 3:16Speaker 1: I mean, we had a pretty miserable weekend, let's be honest,
- 3:19Speaker 1: all of us, and then Mike D's Texas Longhorns.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Yeah, it was awful, dang, I don't want to make
- 3:25Speaker 3: it worse. It's a sad freaking show.
- 3:27Speaker 1: What I beat him in fantasy?
- 3:28Speaker 2: I lost everything. Everything was lost.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I scored the second highest point total in the league,
- 3:33Speaker 1: that's what, one hundred and sixty points and lost the
- 3:36Speaker 1: guy who scored one hundred and eighty number one, number
- 3:39Speaker 1: two score. It was not a good week. Isn't good?
- 3:42Speaker 1: So that are we done? We go home now, Well,
- 3:45Speaker 1: we know we can do. We can do the tittle tattle.
- 3:47Speaker 1: All right, here we go, name the tittle tattle.
- 3:57Speaker 2: With one of the best offenses in college football, do
- 3:59Speaker 2: you think gets USC's defense that'll hinder them from making
- 4:02Speaker 2: the College Football playoff?
- 4:04Speaker 1: Defense sucks? So I think we already know they sucks.
- 4:08Speaker 1: It's gonna be their offense. If their offense can't produce
- 4:10Speaker 1: every single week at a high level, they're not going
- 4:12Speaker 1: to win. Their defense can't stop anybody. They know that,
- 4:15Speaker 1: so yes, but no, they have to rely on their offense.
- 4:18Speaker 1: So yeah, they're giving out thirty forty points a game.
- 4:21Speaker 1: They're gonna have to because all the teams are playing.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I think five of their next six opponents are ranked,
- 4:27Speaker 1: and you're just playing a numbers game with teams that
- 4:29Speaker 1: have skills. So what defense travels well? Sometimes offense doesn't
- 4:36Speaker 1: basketball and football, they just better be on offensively. And
- 4:40Speaker 1: I think if they're not able because their defense is
- 4:42Speaker 1: just gonna not be good, it's just not gonna be good.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I think a good game is their defense being below average.
- 4:49Speaker 1: That's a good game. Below average, just below average. They're
- 4:53Speaker 1: an offense can be great at times, but you better
- 4:56Speaker 1: make sure it's great every week. Because we're looking at
- 4:58Speaker 1: Notre Dame.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Utah, cal Washington, Still Oregon.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Yeah, and their defense gives up almost thirty points of games.
- 5:05Speaker 1: So so we already know the defense sucks. So you
- 5:07Speaker 1: can't be mad at something you already know. You can't
- 5:09Speaker 1: get mad at your husband. You wake up one morning
- 5:12Speaker 1: and he's five foot three, he's five three when you
- 5:13Speaker 1: married him, Why you'm mad at it? Why you'm mad
- 5:15Speaker 1: at him? And five three? Now you can't get better though,
- 5:17Speaker 1: Like I get it.
- 5:19Speaker 3: It's got to be frustrating when your defense sucks, but
- 5:20Speaker 3: you can't like get better in three, three weeks, four
- 5:23Speaker 3: weeks improve certain things.
- 5:25Speaker 1: You can get better all kinds of stuff, but so
- 5:27Speaker 1: are the offenses that you're playing a good point, probably
- 5:29Speaker 1: at the same rate or faster. And then also, you
- 5:32Speaker 1: can only get so good if you do not have
- 5:34Speaker 1: the actual talent or skills or coaching. And it just
- 5:38Speaker 1: seems so weird that Lincoln Riley cannot get a defense
- 5:40Speaker 1: it doesn't matter where he is.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:42Speaker 1: I was talking to my father in law, who was
- 5:45Speaker 1: a massive Oklahoma fan and love Lincoln Riley at Oklahoma.
- 5:47Speaker 1: It's hurt by him leaving, and I was like, what's
- 5:51Speaker 1: the deal, Like, if I were Lincoln Riley, I would
- 5:53Speaker 1: go Obviously I suck at defense, So I'm gonna get
- 5:56Speaker 1: somebody that I trust to do it. And I'm just
- 5:58Speaker 1: stepping away from the defense run it because they've done
- 6:01Speaker 1: it wrong for so many years and it's kept me
- 6:02Speaker 1: from national championships that we keep doing stuff the same way.
- 6:06Speaker 1: It's always gonna have the same result. So it's happening
- 6:09Speaker 1: again at USC. So why can they not just find
- 6:11Speaker 1: a defensive expert that's not been with them forever? Yeah,
- 6:14Speaker 1: which is the case, and go the defense is now yours.
- 6:16Speaker 1: I'll check in occasionally, but it's yours, and let's see
- 6:19Speaker 1: if something different happens. And I understand that there's recruiting
- 6:22Speaker 1: as well, or where you gonna put the emphasis and recruiting.
- 6:25Speaker 1: But if you don't change, nothing changes. And you know
- 6:28Speaker 1: what I see happening, nothing changing. Where he'll they'll have
- 6:31Speaker 1: a great season, they'll lose two games, one or two
- 6:32Speaker 1: games and miss the national championship, or if they get
- 6:35Speaker 1: in the final four, they'll lose the first one because
- 6:38Speaker 1: once they play one of these teams who can stop
- 6:41Speaker 1: their offense from running all over them, one of these
- 6:43Speaker 1: speed based teams like a even an Oregon's gonna be
- 6:45Speaker 1: tough for them. But you play Georgia, Heck, you go
- 6:48Speaker 1: play Alabama, the USC might win. But it's a whole
- 6:52Speaker 1: different ballgame when you're playing with just players generally who
- 6:55Speaker 1: are bigger and faster and stronger.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Yeah, even the physicality of like Utah always gives them
- 6:59Speaker 2: a tough, and then you mix in athleticism of a
- 7:01Speaker 2: Georgia that'd be rough.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Utah needs a quarterback, yes, and if they had a quarterback,
- 7:07Speaker 1: I'd be trouble. If they don't have camp, then they're
- 7:10Speaker 1: not gonna win the game. But I do think that
- 7:12Speaker 1: us he probably loses two games and they're awesome offensively,
- 7:16Speaker 1: Kayla Williams is awesome. So I'm gonna blame it on
- 7:19Speaker 1: their offense though, because we already know the defense sucks.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Yes, So what's your fall on? What did your father
- 7:22Speaker 3: in law say about that whole theory?
- 7:25Speaker 1: I just kind of lid it out to him. He's like,
- 7:26Speaker 1: that's a good point. Then you moved on. Yeah, I
- 7:28Speaker 1: moved on. I didn't really need any analysis back. He
- 7:31Speaker 1: was like, I don't know, man, He's like that was
- 7:33Speaker 1: always already. We couldn't put up a defense, all right.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Else, which one loss team do you still think has
- 7:38Speaker 2: the best chance to make the playoff? Alabama or Texas.
- 7:41Speaker 1: He gets Alabama because they can still pretty much play
- 7:45Speaker 1: their way into it. I mean Texas can too, but
- 7:48Speaker 1: Alabama for sure can. If you win the SEC and
- 7:49Speaker 1: you have one loss year in Yeah, if you win
- 7:53Speaker 1: the big twelve and you have one loss, you're probably in.
- 7:56Speaker 1: But we'll see. And if there's a one lost Big
- 7:59Speaker 1: twelve team and there's a one SEC team, they're going
- 8:01Speaker 1: with the one lost SEC team. So just based on that,
- 8:05Speaker 1: Alabama has a better shot. And again they look pretty
- 8:10Speaker 1: good this last week. The quarterback was finally chunking. Before
- 8:15Speaker 1: the game, they were like, oh, if he doesn't, all
- 8:17Speaker 1: they gotta do is stop the run. He threw three
- 8:19Speaker 1: hundred yards a and M's got a really salty defense too,
- 8:23Speaker 1: So I think Alabama. But Alabama's next three games or
- 8:26Speaker 1: against Arkansas, Tennessee and LSU, Now those are all three
- 8:34Speaker 1: games they have to show up for. It's gonna be
- 8:36Speaker 1: tough and it's going yes, And so Arkansas is in
- 8:39Speaker 1: Tuscaloosa makes me sick to my stomach. Come on, Manna,
- 8:45Speaker 1: you can do this. It's gonna be rough. Tennessee in Tuscaloosa,
- 8:48Speaker 1: that should be a pretty good game. And then LSU,
- 8:51Speaker 1: even though LSU doesn't have defense, again, they're gonna push them.
- 8:55Speaker 1: So I could see Alabama possibly losing one of those,
- 8:57Speaker 1: but I think they're probably gonna be big favorites in
- 8:59Speaker 1: all three Texas next three games. At Houston, they'll kill them.
- 9:02Speaker 1: At BYU. No, byusing in Austin, they should whoop them
- 9:06Speaker 1: pretty good. But the Kansas State Texas game looks to
- 9:10Speaker 1: be pretty solid game. I'm gonna say this. I watch
- 9:12Speaker 1: Kansas State and I hate they lost to Oklahoma State
- 9:14Speaker 1: this last week. I love their coach. I love how
- 9:17Speaker 1: he coaches. Yeah, it's freaking fourth and four on like
- 9:20Speaker 1: the minus twenty six, and he's like, well, we got
- 9:23Speaker 1: to go for it, let's go, and he goes because
- 9:24Speaker 1: he also trusts their defense to hold him to a
- 9:26Speaker 1: field goal. Because I would love playing for that dude.
- 9:29Speaker 1: And Cooper yeah, Cook was awesome. Yeah, and they're our
- 9:33Speaker 1: latest episode of too Much Access. But like that Kansas
- 9:37Speaker 1: State coach, aggressive, offensive minded, trust the defense to hold
- 9:42Speaker 1: him to a field goal. And they ended up losing
- 9:44Speaker 1: the game and that sucked. But I did like watching
- 9:48Speaker 1: that game and how they play. Somebody said to me,
- 9:51Speaker 1: to hey, looks like the Too Much Texas curs is
- 9:53Speaker 1: still happening. We choose what episode of peves to me,
- 9:57Speaker 1: we could have easily put out the Western Kentucky episode.
- 9:59Speaker 1: They won, It wasn't like we put it out and
- 10:02Speaker 1: then they lost.
- 10:03Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, people are saying, we're putting like the one
- 10:06Speaker 5: person because he's want that.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Remember, yeah he's upset. And it wasn't even somebody listened
- 10:12Speaker 1: to the show. It was just like some Kansas State
- 10:13Speaker 1: fans upsets Kate State ninety five. Yeah, we can do
- 10:17Speaker 1: whatever we could put off. We could have put up
- 10:20Speaker 1: UNLV and they were had a buye week. We could
- 10:23Speaker 1: have put up Western Kentucky. I guess we could have
- 10:27Speaker 1: waited on you ANDV. We could have put up Cincinnati,
- 10:29Speaker 1: but we put up Kansas State because it was a
- 10:30Speaker 1: really good episode. It's right, yeah, back off now. If
- 10:33Speaker 1: we start putting everything out and they start losing the
- 10:35Speaker 1: week after over like everybody trouble, that's trouble. That's the
- 10:38Speaker 1: Madden cover. Yes, yes, if Joey Harrington ends up being
- 10:42Speaker 1: on our show, that's bad news. If Dante Culpepper ends
- 10:47Speaker 1: up being on our show, If Peyton hillis ends up
- 10:49Speaker 1: being on our show. So, but that's that's what's up.
- 10:52Speaker 1: I really like Kansas State. I think Kansas State could
- 10:54Speaker 1: actually play Texas pretty strong. Right.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Next question, After another weekend full of injuries around the NFL,
- 10:59Speaker 2: what do you think is more likely to happen next
- 11:01Speaker 2: off season, turf fields change the grass or the brotherly
- 11:04Speaker 2: love shove rule changed.
- 11:06Speaker 1: The turf to grass. Mostly. I really the brotherly shove
- 11:11Speaker 1: is pretty fair. It is fair. There's a lot of
- 11:13Speaker 1: teams not making it. Everybody can do it, everybody can
- 11:16Speaker 1: try to do it, and some teams I think I
- 11:18Speaker 1: saw that the Eagles were like ninety one percent yeah
- 11:23Speaker 1: in it, and I think that other teams are like
- 11:25Speaker 1: eighty three percent. It's that dead numbers off a little bit.
- 11:28Speaker 1: So it's a most. But also if you quarterbacks think
- 11:30Speaker 1: for one yard most of the time, you're gonna get it. Hey, man,
- 11:32Speaker 1: the Eagles did it like a yard and a half
- 11:34Speaker 1: two year crazy.
- 11:35Speaker 3: I know, wild, it's crazy. Hey, the Cowboys did it too.
- 11:38Speaker 3: I mean it was a terrible game, but we.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Did the shove. Yeah. But now everybody's got to learn
- 11:41Speaker 1: how to do shove right. I think the key I
- 11:43Speaker 1: dissected a little bit. I think the key is just
- 11:45Speaker 1: to stay low.
- 11:46Speaker 3: But those front guys stay low, and I think if
- 11:48Speaker 3: you do that, you can't you can't beat it.
- 11:50Speaker 1: What if you just like Troy Polamalu and just jumped over.
- 11:55Speaker 1: I just think the momentum if you time it and
- 11:58Speaker 1: you jump and then you wrap your arms around their
- 12:00Speaker 1: waist that you're going jumping over them. Then you pull
- 12:02Speaker 1: them back because it's hard to stop. I mean, can
- 12:05Speaker 1: you like boost you throw people over. It's a full
- 12:09Speaker 1: steam train coming through and it's coming. They know the
- 12:12Speaker 1: count and they know the count. That is the factor.
- 12:15Speaker 1: If everybody knew it was going to go one, two, three, go,
- 12:19Speaker 1: it would be different. It's pretty amazing.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Man and Jalen can what squatted?
- 12:24Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah truck Yeah so that also, Yeah, I think
- 12:28Speaker 1: I don't think the brotherly shove gets changed this year.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Brotherly Chef like Toush push, brother brother show because it's Philadelphia.
- 12:37Speaker 2: I know, I get it. It's cool.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Brotherly show.
- 12:40Speaker 2: The Cowboys do it. Do you call it the Toush
- 12:42Speaker 2: push or what.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Do you mean? I call it the cowboys are doing it.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I probably just call it the Toush push. Yeah, this
- 12:47Speaker 1: is the quarterback sneak with friends attack. But justin Jefferson's hurt,
- 12:58Speaker 1: Kelsey's hurt. Yeah, a chain's now hurt. I think the
- 13:02Speaker 1: turf to grass, though, that is an advantage or disadvantage
- 13:07Speaker 1: that you can't control. Even if it's injuries, you can
- 13:09Speaker 1: change your grass filled out. It's harder to go up
- 13:12Speaker 1: and down with grass, obviously than it is turf. Turf
- 13:15Speaker 1: you can pick up quickly and change your stadium to
- 13:18Speaker 1: be Ye Disney on ice whatever whatever you want, Taylor
- 13:21Speaker 1: Swift concert exactly. So I do think that's probably the
- 13:25Speaker 1: turf turf's bad news. It seems like I don't know,
- 13:28Speaker 1: I've messed around on it, but I didn't get hurt.
- 13:30Speaker 1: And then all the guys look like idiot's all a
- 13:31Speaker 1: little pebble, black pebbles o the face? All right? What else?
- 13:35Speaker 2: Last? Some one here getting out scored seventy two to
- 13:37Speaker 2: three in the last two games. Do you think Belichick's
- 13:39Speaker 2: seat is officially starting to heat up.
- 13:42Speaker 1: I think he's probably like, I don't want to be
- 13:44Speaker 1: here anymore more than they're going, Hey, you don't need
- 13:46Speaker 1: to be here. I think he's going, I I don't
- 13:49Speaker 1: know about this anymore. And a lot of it's on
- 13:51Speaker 1: him too. Let's not act like it's not. And you're
- 13:53Speaker 1: a die hard Patriots fan, and I admire you still
- 13:56Speaker 1: wearing your Patriots hat. I wore some Arkansas shorts to
- 13:59Speaker 1: therapy yesterday, and my therapist is like, brave, shut up.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Like I'm at therapy for a recons That's right.
- 14:06Speaker 1: So I could see Belichick not leaving after this year.
- 14:11Speaker 3: But next year I saw that he applied to a
- 14:13Speaker 3: few jobs at Duncan. I don't know if that was
- 14:14Speaker 3: real or not, but I saw him probably wasn't.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Yeah, but it also does it tarnish his legacy a
- 14:20Speaker 1: little bit because now we have a like a bigger
- 14:23Speaker 1: palette on where he's been able to perform without Brady.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Yeah, the sample size is much bigger now than it
- 14:28Speaker 2: was two three years ago, where you're starting to think,
- 14:30Speaker 2: I don't.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Know, May will have to do it, but Brady couldn't
- 14:33Speaker 1: leave and Belichick can't do it and gets worse.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Yeah, it's yeah, it's getting worse by the game.
- 14:37Speaker 1: How do you feel about it?
- 14:39Speaker 2: It's definitely starting to heat up. I honestly could see
- 14:42Speaker 2: him leaving after the season. It's just that roster is
- 14:44Speaker 2: so bad. But that's also on him because he's a GM,
- 14:46Speaker 2: of course, and I could see him just being like,
- 14:48Speaker 2: you know what, I do not want to rebuild here,
- 14:50Speaker 2: maybe go somewhere else after this year, and Kraft is
- 14:53Speaker 2: just I think Kraft will be over it too.
- 14:54Speaker 1: He's old though, you want to go somewhere else.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Go to like a good roster, like say Staley gets
- 14:59Speaker 2: f the Chargers.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I guess he's just so old it's hard to start over.
- 15:04Speaker 1: That's true. He does have his son with him. I
- 15:07Speaker 1: mean that might be a part of the reason he's
- 15:08Speaker 1: sucking too, that he puts his sons in his old decordinators.
- 15:11Speaker 3: I've always thought that when like coaches put their sons
- 15:14Speaker 3: in like Buddy Beaheim or whatever, like all that that's
- 15:16Speaker 3: kind of weird to me.
- 15:17Speaker 2: So hand worked out.
- 15:19Speaker 1: How many years do you think has go?
- 15:23Speaker 2: I'll say right now, at the end of this year,
- 15:26Speaker 2: I don't even know. It won't be like you want
- 15:28Speaker 2: him to go? Oh, good question, greatest coach of all time?
- 15:31Speaker 2: Do you want to fire your greatest? I never want
- 15:35Speaker 2: to fire him. But at the same time, like I'm
- 15:37Speaker 2: watching San Francisco and all these offenses Miami.
- 15:40Speaker 5: Good question, and this and that that's wanted him to go.
- 15:43Speaker 5: I never want him to go, But do you want
- 15:45Speaker 5: him to go? I think it's a change of tides
- 15:48Speaker 5: is coming. Yes, I want a change of tides.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Next three games, Raiders, they could win that. But the
- 15:52Speaker 1: Raiders did win last night and they don't like great,
- 15:55Speaker 1: but they look good enough to beat the Patriots. It
- 15:58Speaker 1: was a sloppy game. The Bills, I'll lose that. The
- 16:01Speaker 1: Dophense I'll lose that.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Yeah, we're done. Tank for Caleb, I'm all in on
- 16:05Speaker 2: the train, tank train.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Mac Jones done done, done, done done done.
- 16:10Speaker 2: It's not all him, but he just doesn't.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Have it, you know, in his cam's not going, oh,
- 16:13Speaker 1: you don't have any weapons, like you're hearing word from
- 16:16Speaker 1: his his group.
- 16:17Speaker 2: You know what Brady did for years with a bunch
- 16:19Speaker 2: of guys that nobody knew.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Come on, yeah, I hear you, and he did well.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Hold on. He did have tools at times. Gronk, Yeah,
- 16:26Speaker 1: was a tool. I would say that Randy Moss was
- 16:29Speaker 1: about as freaking tool as you can get. Awesome, so
- 16:31Speaker 1: he did. But yes, at times too, he did not
- 16:33Speaker 1: have Chris Hogan, you don't have to go to the
- 16:35Speaker 1: bad bad I think, Edelman, Oh stud yeah, so regardless,
- 16:43Speaker 1: I feel bad for you, and you should feel bad
- 16:44Speaker 1: for me because it sucks about it.
- 16:45Speaker 2: We can feel bad for each other.
- 16:46Speaker 1: That's all right. That's the tittle tattle, the tittle tattle,
- 16:54Speaker 1: Thank you, Kevin twenty five Whistles presented by Draft Kings
- 16:56Speaker 1: sports book and official sports betting partner of the NFL.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Download the Draft King app and used the code Bobby
- 17:01Speaker 1: sports to get in on the action. We went three
- 17:04Speaker 1: for four in the old parlay, but you missed one.
- 17:07Speaker 1: It's over. I did hit a nine game parlay though
- 17:09Speaker 1: nine Yeah I hit a nine er.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Yeah, you pulled an eddie, but you actually hit it.
- 17:12Speaker 1: I did hit it nice. He didn't miss it by
- 17:14Speaker 1: one like I've done two. But nobody cares that they're
- 17:17Speaker 1: betting with. But you can follow me on the on
- 17:18Speaker 1: the DraftKings app. It's like Bobby and the Whistlers.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like a social one. Yeah, so you.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Can see all my bets and I'll go over the
- 17:24Speaker 1: bets in a second. But here we go. Georgia hit
- 17:27Speaker 1: Alabama money line, hit Arkansas plus eleven and a half.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Hit the Washington State UCLA game. And I thought, even
- 17:36Speaker 1: at the end, I thought Washington State was going to
- 17:37Speaker 1: do it. Because they ended up losing by eight point seventeen.
- 17:40Speaker 1: I thought they were going to score a touchdown at
- 17:42Speaker 1: the end and cover and they did not. And it
- 17:45Speaker 1: was sad and I'm sorry. That's all I can say,
- 17:47Speaker 1: but I'm not that sorry because they hit a nine
- 17:48Speaker 1: gamer and I had a decent weekend. You're good, but
- 17:50Speaker 1: the Arkansas loss. I'd give it all up for the
- 17:52Speaker 1: Arkansas loss. To have that as a win, I give
- 17:55Speaker 1: it all up.
- 17:55Speaker 2: All your money smiles, Yeah.
- 17:57Speaker 1: All of it. If you want to take the twenty
- 17:59Speaker 1: four Boe partl like, you can check out Draft King
- 18:01Speaker 1: Sports Book. I don't have the new one for next
- 18:03Speaker 1: week right now because I'm still in morning. Take your time.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Thank you. New users use to code Bobby Sports when
- 18:07Speaker 1: you download the app twenty one and up in most
- 18:09Speaker 1: eligible states, but age varies by jurisdiction. Eligibility and deposit
- 18:12Speaker 1: restrictions apply. Gambling problem called one hundred gambler in New
- 18:15Speaker 1: York called eight seven seven eight hope and why or
- 18:18Speaker 1: text hope and why? You know? I was watching clips
- 18:22Speaker 1: of the Vikings and Chiefs and how on TikTok everybody
- 18:26Speaker 1: thinks the Vikings got cheated? Have you seen many of
- 18:28Speaker 1: the millions of tiktoks about how the Vikings got cheated?
- 18:30Speaker 2: Twitter?
- 18:31Speaker 1: But yeah, okay, do you feel like the Vikings got cheated?
- 18:34Speaker 6: Cheated?
- 18:35Speaker 2: There's no pass interference, but the helmet was a little skeptic.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Taking his helmet off. Yes, when the ref's like, put
- 18:39Speaker 1: your helmet on you and get a flag.
- 18:40Speaker 2: And I was watching the game and out loud, I
- 18:42Speaker 2: was like, wait, his helmet's off or are you not
- 18:43Speaker 2: allowed to do that? And then they started talking about it,
- 18:45Speaker 2: and now it's everywhere.
- 18:46Speaker 1: He did pull his helmet off, and you do see
- 18:47Speaker 1: the ref go put your helmet on him with all
- 18:49Speaker 1: a flag on you. Yeah. Now I can understand a
- 18:52Speaker 1: ref near the end of a game not wanting to
- 18:54Speaker 1: throw a flag. It's going to change into the game.
- 18:56Speaker 1: We're just going like, hey, it's like if two people
- 18:57Speaker 1: are fighting on the field, if you guys don't stop,
- 18:59Speaker 1: if tho AFA and then they stop fighting, Like I
- 19:01Speaker 1: get it. But it's so borderline, and so are some
- 19:04Speaker 1: of the other things. The pass interference, there were like
- 19:06Speaker 1: three things all at once that happened.
- 19:09Speaker 2: There was like a hand into the face and.
- 19:11Speaker 1: All that too, but they missed those every play. You know,
- 19:15Speaker 1: every place somebody's going hands with the face or holding
- 19:17Speaker 1: the ref's not seeing. You only got so many refs.
- 19:20Speaker 1: But I feel like where there's money, there's corruption. All
- 19:24Speaker 1: im saying there's corruption, But if you don't think at
- 19:26Speaker 1: some point a ref's gonna like know that the Chiefs
- 19:30Speaker 1: should probably win because they're the story. They're the story
- 19:34Speaker 1: because I'm a home that really did the story. Because
- 19:35Speaker 1: Taylor Swift, who wasn't there by the way right.
- 19:38Speaker 2: And Kelsey almost went down.
- 19:39Speaker 1: He lived a bit with he came back, but he
- 19:42Speaker 1: has a high ankle sprain. Now, yes, what they're saying
- 19:45Speaker 1: so but uh, yeah that that was tough if you're
- 19:48Speaker 1: a Vikings fan to see all that, but also stop
- 19:50Speaker 1: being a sore loser.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Yeah, the Chiefs are now getting that. And I'm not
- 19:53Speaker 2: saying this is that a Patriots fan just saying Patriot's
- 19:56Speaker 2: treatment right where you know.
- 19:57Speaker 1: I call it Michael Jordan Tree, And it's funny you
- 19:59Speaker 1: call it Patriots true.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Yeah, things just go your way and then everyone looks
- 20:01Speaker 2: for a way to like pounce on you. Oh you
- 20:05Speaker 2: I thought you made it a good way. No, well
- 20:07Speaker 2: it's good because that means you're winning and you're relevant. Yes,
- 20:09Speaker 2: it's good as a Patriots fan or a Bulls fan,
- 20:11Speaker 2: got it. But if your team's playing them, or if
- 20:13Speaker 2: you don't want them to win, then it sucks.
- 20:16Speaker 1: It sucked for Miami, which we mentioned earlier. All they
- 20:18Speaker 1: had to do is neeed the ball, and so then
- 20:21Speaker 1: let's go, Okay, they didn't need it. They run the
- 20:22Speaker 1: ball off the middle. Then all they got to do
- 20:24Speaker 1: is hold onto the ball. And then let's say he
- 20:26Speaker 1: didn't hold on the ball, then all you is recover
- 20:27Speaker 1: the ball. Okay, cool, didn't do that either. Then all
- 20:30Speaker 1: you gotta do is stop them for one play. And they
- 20:32Speaker 1: didn't do that either. What was the reason.
- 20:34Speaker 3: And I saw a clip where the coach was talking
- 20:36Speaker 3: about why he did it, but I didn't.
- 20:38Speaker 1: It makes sense to me why it was crystal ball
- 20:42Speaker 1: and it was a press conference that with the camera
- 20:43Speaker 1: was like below him. Is that what you saw too?
- 20:46Speaker 1: And he started talking some nonsense to and I just
- 20:47Speaker 1: flipped off. That's it, That's that's the same one.
- 20:50Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 20:50Speaker 1: It was like, you know the momentum of that exactly,
- 20:53Speaker 1: and I'm like, I don't get any of this.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Did you see he did that in eighteen too? If
- 20:56Speaker 2: he does an eighteen with Oregon against Stanford.
- 20:58Speaker 1: I do that on Madden, but I need extra yards
- 21:00Speaker 1: my running back. There you go, you're pat stat that's
- 21:02Speaker 1: not real. You know, lost a bunch of money on
- 21:07Speaker 1: Dallas you mentioned that you mentioned that I made some notes.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Do you want to go, let's do my betting for
- 21:12Speaker 1: the week if you want to hear some stats here.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I try to keep it open and honest with you guys.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Last weekend and I have a great week. I went
- 21:20Speaker 1: to the negatives for the first time overall. So here
- 21:24Speaker 1: we go in C double A this month, this excuse me.
- 21:28Speaker 1: This last weekend, I made twenty one bets in C
- 21:30Speaker 1: double A for two one hundred and forty seven dollars
- 21:34Speaker 1: winnings three thousand nine dollars plus eight sixty two. Okay,
- 21:38Speaker 1: let's go. It's a good Saturday. NFL bets wagered eighteen
- 21:42Speaker 1: hundred dollars winnings seventeen to twenty nine.
- 21:46Speaker 3: And this Cowboys. I was up at parlay. I mean,
- 21:50Speaker 3: you were looking good with that parlay, huh yeah. And
- 21:53Speaker 3: then the Cowboys Cowys, Yeah, you go chasing, dude, you
- 21:56Speaker 3: tried try to chasing.
- 21:57Speaker 1: I was base and I just thought that I really
- 21:59Speaker 1: thought they could do it. I wasn't for the fact
- 22:00Speaker 1: about money. I was chasing because I thought the would
- 22:02Speaker 1: cover fourteen I agree. Weekend summary. I made thirty nine bets.
- 22:06Speaker 1: I wager thirty nine hundred dollars. I made forty seven
- 22:09Speaker 1: thirty eight plus seven ninety one on the weekend Nice
- 22:13Speaker 1: and season summary so far total bets one forty three.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I've bet sixteen four hundred and forty one dollars. That crazy,
- 22:23Speaker 1: I'm plus seven twenty three. Wow, And Kevin goes through
- 22:26Speaker 1: my account. I'm not pat statting or affecting. I give
- 22:29Speaker 1: him my phone and just say, hand me the numbers.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Would you verify that, Kevin? Yes, Yeah, sixteen thousand to
- 22:34Speaker 1: make seven hundred. Hey, look, I'm happy at sixteen thousand.
- 22:37Speaker 1: That's not super negative. If it were sixteen thousand to
- 22:40Speaker 1: lose a thousand or so, I'd be like, that's fun.
- 22:41Speaker 1: I'm doing it for entertainment anyway. It's fun to do.
- 22:43Speaker 1: I'm not trying to do it to pay the bills.
- 22:46Speaker 1: But sixteen thousand, what's seven hundred? That was your investment? Interesting?
- 22:51Speaker 1: It's pretty good though. Yeah. Yeah, you're making money, yeah,
- 22:54Speaker 1: and having fun having fun doing it. The I bet
- 22:57Speaker 1: on Alabama to be Texas and bet them but minus
- 23:02Speaker 1: two and a half. And do you see the catch
- 23:05Speaker 1: where they got his knees down? This is like one
- 23:07Speaker 1: of the catches the end of the game. His knee
- 23:09Speaker 1: is down and the ball hits him in the hands
- 23:11Speaker 1: and his knee is down. If he catches it, the
- 23:14Speaker 1: play's over. He's down, but he bobbles it. So when
- 23:17Speaker 1: he bobbles, he lifts his knee up, then catches it
- 23:20Speaker 1: and his knees off the ground. Then he takes off.
- 23:22Speaker 2: It was for A and M or Alabama.
- 23:24Speaker 1: It is Alabama, I believe. Okay, I'm almost positive as
- 23:26Speaker 1: Alabama because I was on stage when it happened, and
- 23:30Speaker 1: I went and I do on YouTube TV. You can
- 23:32Speaker 1: do show me all the clips because it says you
- 23:35Speaker 1: can join live or show me all the big clips.
- 23:36Speaker 1: And I watch all the big clips, and I saw
- 23:37Speaker 1: the play and it's unbelievable because Alabama wasn't white, right, yeah, yeah, right, yeah,
- 23:44Speaker 1: I'm almost positive. Anyway, you should look at that clip
- 23:46Speaker 1: because its unbelievable, the big catch at the end of
- 23:47Speaker 1: the game. Had he caught it like he was supposed to,
- 23:49Speaker 1: his knee would have been down the plays over. But
- 23:51Speaker 1: because he bobbled it, he didn't have to stand up
- 23:53Speaker 1: to catch it, and because he did that, he took off.
- 23:55Speaker 1: You can look it up if you haven't seen it,
- 23:58Speaker 1: and I'm ninety eight percent sure that's what the play was.
- 24:00Speaker 1: But I did show me all the plays. Okay, so
- 24:02Speaker 1: what is that on YouTube? Like? So that YouTube TV
- 24:05Speaker 1: and it shows you all the big plays of the day.
- 24:07Speaker 1: So no, if you go to a game, it'll say
- 24:09Speaker 1: do you want to join live or do you want
- 24:10Speaker 1: to catch up by all the big plays? Ah? Yes,
- 24:13Speaker 1: I have seen that. Okay, it's like the second it's
- 24:15Speaker 1: pretty cool too.
- 24:16Speaker 2: You don't even look at it. I don't think I've
- 24:17Speaker 2: ever realized what it actually says. I just always say
- 24:19Speaker 2: live if you want live, Yeah, without even thinking about it.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Well, sometimes I do watch all the big plays because
- 24:23Speaker 1: I don't want to look like a complete idiot. What
- 24:25Speaker 1: do you see?
- 24:25Speaker 2: I'm pulling it up right now.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Tell me this is Alabama was wearing white. You're right
- 24:29Speaker 1: about this isn't wild. The ball's coming at him.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Yeah, he's knee down, but he juggles it right now
- 24:36Speaker 2: and then catches it. Oh, and he's up and then
- 24:38Speaker 2: he runs and he's gone. Oh and he yeah, and
- 24:43Speaker 2: how late that was with a minu and a half left.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Dang crazy like he.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Did it on purpose, but he didn't. I know.
- 24:51Speaker 1: You can tell it's crazy. That's a crazy play. Uh
- 24:55Speaker 1: Dak's interceptions suck which one all? Then three hit three
- 24:58Speaker 1: hit three freaking interceptions. I think he too, were in
- 25:01Speaker 1: like a five minute span, but that one play just chunked.
- 25:05Speaker 1: First half.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Yeah, he was fired up after the first touchdown too.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:12Speaker 3: Yeah, you throw a touchdown at turpin like that's I mean,
- 25:15Speaker 3: he's what do you call it, he's spray and pray.
- 25:17Speaker 3: That's what he did on that one chunking and he
- 25:19Speaker 3: just chunked it and there's double coverage and he caught it.
- 25:22Speaker 3: I mean, great, good touchdown, But so what I'm saying
- 25:24Speaker 3: and what's crazy about it?
- 25:26Speaker 1: Too?
- 25:26Speaker 3: Like with the with the Niners, you know, you don't
- 25:31Speaker 3: see any receivers downfield. They got the camera on party
- 25:34Speaker 3: with the line whatever.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Party's good, by the way, I keep thinking parties. Okay,
- 25:38Speaker 1: it's pretty good. Got a great he has weapons, but
- 25:40Speaker 1: he's also good. He's awesome. He's awesome.
- 25:42Speaker 3: And every time he threw the ball, you just knew
- 25:45Speaker 3: someone was gonna be wide open. And sure enough, every
- 25:46Speaker 3: time they made the white angle and you saw who
- 25:49Speaker 3: he was throwing to, they were wide open and they
- 25:51Speaker 3: were gonna get twenty plus yards or a touchdown.
- 25:53Speaker 1: It's just ridiculous, like with touch or without touch, or
- 25:56Speaker 1: like he was putting passes where they needed to be. Yeah,
- 26:00Speaker 1: it's scary that he's starting, that he's starting to.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Be good, really good. You guys only had fifty seven
- 26:04Speaker 2: rushing yards too, though. Yeah, you guys have to run
- 26:06Speaker 2: the ball. Not to sound too cliche here, but you.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Have to targets of bars. Always we had like forty
- 26:09Speaker 1: yards rushing. We can't do that. We have to run
- 26:12Speaker 1: the ball.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Yeah, you have to.
- 26:13Speaker 3: I said it from the beginning. I didn't think Pollard
- 26:15Speaker 3: was the dude to be our number one running back.
- 26:17Speaker 3: I mean, he's so he's small. He's fast, but he's small.
- 26:20Speaker 3: We don't have a power back like McCaffrey that can
- 26:23Speaker 3: get seven yards every carrys deuce is too small.
- 26:27Speaker 1: He's smaller than than Pollard. Man, I'm sorry, listen, it
- 26:31Speaker 1: sucks for me, It sucks for you, It sucks for you,
- 26:33Speaker 1: and it sucks for you. Texas lost to OU in
- 26:36Speaker 1: the Battle of the Games. That look at Mica that
- 26:39Speaker 1: I don't. I was just like, can they can they
- 26:41Speaker 1: both lose? Can we tie? Can nobody find enjoyment? I
- 26:45Speaker 1: have to be an ou fan a little bit, but
- 26:48Speaker 1: it had been cool if they won, and then the
- 26:50Speaker 1: arkets A would have won. But after the game, after
- 26:52Speaker 1: my game, I watched, so but at least o you
- 26:54Speaker 1: one I'm gonna give it does nothing for me, nothing
- 26:57Speaker 1: for me. So is is rough?
- 27:00Speaker 7: C J.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Stroud though no interceptions? Yeah, longest ever attempts with no
- 27:05Speaker 1: interception as a rookie. So now a lot of those
- 27:08Speaker 1: attempts were incomplete passes, but it doesn't matter. Brady was
- 27:11Speaker 1: won sixty two, he was second all time, and Dak
- 27:13Speaker 1: was won seventy six, and so once he had won
- 27:16Speaker 1: seventy seven. C. Droud and the text has almost won
- 27:18Speaker 1: that freaking game.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Yeah Atlanta.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Yeah, uh so that was That's kind of a cool deal.
- 27:23Speaker 1: And then I'll mention Chess and our friend Chesson Hadley,
- 27:26Speaker 1: who was a golfer. Did he win? He did not win.
- 27:28Speaker 1: He finished thirty fifth and won thirty eight thousand dollars
- 27:33Speaker 1: in the PGA tournament. There we go. He was like
- 27:36Speaker 1: six or sevenths when I was talking to him this weekend.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Every time I talked to him, though, it seems like
- 27:40Speaker 1: he falls off like I think I might be. I
- 27:42Speaker 1: need to wait till after the tournament.
- 27:43Speaker 2: It's like my text to you last weekend.
- 27:45Speaker 1: It's terrible. Cost me the game, you know now, not
- 27:47Speaker 1: the text.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I don bother him.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Cost me that freaking game, all right. The NFL season

- 29:00Speaker 1: who was a free agent after the draft. He signed
- 29:04Speaker 1: with the Panthers his free agent again. But you know,
- 29:06Speaker 1: when it comes to SEC football, I mean, he was
- 29:08Speaker 1: in it last year. So we'll talk about the SEC
- 29:10Speaker 1: coming up in a few minutes. A couple of NFL notes.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Justin Jefferson gonna miss the next four games with the Vikings.
- 29:15Speaker 1: That's gonna hurt. That sucks. They're having a sucky year, yeah,
- 29:19Speaker 1: and that just makes it way worse. God dang. The
- 29:22Speaker 1: Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson will miss the next four games.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Because of a strained right hamstring that he suffered on
- 29:26Speaker 1: Sunday and the loss to the Chiefs, the Vikings plan
- 29:29Speaker 1: to place Jefferson on IR, which means he cannot come back.
- 29:33Speaker 1: I talked to four weeks, but they have a roster
- 29:35Speaker 1: spot they can build with somebody else. But he's out
- 29:36Speaker 1: for four weeks.
- 29:37Speaker 2: None you come back if you're him and they lose
- 29:41Speaker 2: three out of the next four.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean you gotta play. Yeah, you do.
- 29:47Speaker 2: He's in a contract year.
- 29:48Speaker 1: That's why I asked, Yeah, I think you do. I
- 29:53Speaker 1: think you come back and you play, or at least
- 29:55Speaker 1: you try to act like you're trying to play. You'd
- 29:57Speaker 1: be like, oh, I'm really trying to get out there.
- 29:58Speaker 1: I just I went through warm ups. Tell me somebody
- 30:01Speaker 1: recording you going let me play? Man, just one video,
- 30:05Speaker 1: let me play. They won't let me play. You don't
- 30:07Speaker 1: ever see who he's talking to. It's just on him.
- 30:09Speaker 1: And it turns out there was nobody, and he's like, oh,
- 30:11Speaker 1: come on, And then you post that and you're like,
- 30:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna sit out this game too. So he's obviously
- 30:16Speaker 1: gonna get paid, right, But I understand it was like
- 30:18Speaker 1: last year we were talking about Baltimore and Lamar Jackson.
- 30:22Speaker 1: It's like contract year, he's hurt, does he come back.
- 30:25Speaker 1: It's a business more than it is anything else. I know,
- 30:28Speaker 1: we romanticize sports. One team. Yeah, God woman, it's a
- 30:32Speaker 1: business more than it is anything else, period. And if
- 30:34Speaker 1: you're that player, you want to make sure that you're
- 30:36Speaker 1: the health is you can be going. And he's a
- 30:37Speaker 1: guy that it doesn't matter if he if he had
- 30:41Speaker 1: torn as achilles, He's gonna get a Kevin Durant treatment.
- 30:43Speaker 1: I mean, he can still get a big back contract
- 30:45Speaker 1: because they know how good you will and can be.
- 30:47Speaker 1: So yeah, that sucks though for the Vikings. The Vikings
- 30:49Speaker 1: are not in a good place, nor will they be
- 30:52Speaker 1: this whole year now. Nah, they should just go and
- 30:53Speaker 1: give it a Kirk Cousins toole. Just try him off,
- 30:55Speaker 1: get something for him. A couple teams could use him.
- 30:57Speaker 1: But so far, Jeffers's got thirty six catches, five hundred
- 30:59Speaker 1: seventy yards and three touchdowns. And he was a lot
- 31:02Speaker 1: of people's first overall pick in the fantasy drift. Oh
- 31:05Speaker 1: he was Yep, that sucks. I lost Chubb my first
- 31:08Speaker 1: round pick, Mike lost Jefferson my eighth or ninth round pick.
- 31:13Speaker 1: A Chain likely to be out multiple weeks with an injury.
- 31:16Speaker 1: But you know what, I'm gonna say this, if he's
- 31:18Speaker 1: out the rest of the year, I'm okay, Hey, he
- 31:19Speaker 1: did you well. He came in and freaking one to
- 31:22Speaker 1: two games basically for me. Right. So, rookie running back
- 31:26Speaker 1: Davin ah Chan expected to be out multiple weeks with
- 31:28Speaker 1: a knee injury suffered in Sunday's victory over the Giants.
- 31:30Speaker 1: The injury is not expected to be season ending. The
- 31:32Speaker 1: Dolphins will continue to be gathering information. A Chane leads
- 31:35Speaker 1: the NFL with twelve yards per carry.
- 31:37Speaker 2: It's insane.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Has over four hundred and sixty yards and five touchdowns
- 31:40Speaker 1: in four games this year. But what's got him is
- 31:43Speaker 1: obviously his health, and that was the whole thing. Like
- 31:45Speaker 1: he's not that big. A Chan's not a big guy.
- 31:48Speaker 1: He can fly. You know. The Dolphins have like the
- 31:50Speaker 1: top five six bad plays of the years between Moster
- 31:56Speaker 1: and Hill and a Chain and Jaylaen Waddle's is not
- 31:59Speaker 1: even on one the fastest plays of the year, but
- 32:01Speaker 1: he's still one of the fastest guys in the NFL.
- 32:02Speaker 1: I mean, those are the three fastest players in the NFL.
- 32:04Speaker 1: It's crazy. And you got them all on one team.
- 32:07Speaker 2: And tyreeksha that they have a practice squad guy that's
- 32:09Speaker 2: even faster than all Really.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Yeah is it? What's a guy's name from Jamaica? Oh Bolts. Yeah,
- 32:16Speaker 1: he's just sitting back. He just runs go around to
- 32:18Speaker 1: try to test it. Yeah, I'm ready to go defensive backs.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Last night we watched the Packers and the Raiders. I
- 32:23Speaker 1: say I watched. I watched about almost half of it.
- 32:27Speaker 1: It wasn't that good. I mean I have to kind
- 32:30Speaker 1: of pick and choose, and I get to pick eighty percent.
- 32:32Speaker 1: My wife does not bust my balls about football, but
- 32:35Speaker 1: I want to make sure that she doesn't feel like
- 32:36Speaker 1: I'm watching only football all the time, so that she
- 32:37Speaker 1: doesn't bust my balls about football. Smart So I want
- 32:39Speaker 1: to be proactive. And you know, if there are games
- 32:42Speaker 1: that I don't care as much, I will sacrifice them
- 32:45Speaker 1: just to spend time with her. But I have to
- 32:46Speaker 1: make sure she knows I'm sacrificing games. And I don't
- 32:48Speaker 1: want to be like I'm sacrificing games, but she'll be like, hey,
- 32:51Speaker 1: you have Benner. Yeah, I would love to have dinner
- 32:53Speaker 1: and there's a game on, but I don't even care
- 32:56Speaker 1: to watch it tonight. I'd know they just spend time
- 32:57Speaker 1: with you. I gotta let her know that she's saying
- 32:59Speaker 1: anything to that, like, no, you don't have to say that.
- 33:01Speaker 1: She knows what I'm doing. Yes, And so I only
- 33:04Speaker 1: watched like almost half of it, and some of the
- 33:07Speaker 1: one I was on the toilet. Because YouTube TV is awesome.
- 33:10Speaker 1: It's the greatest.
- 33:11Speaker 2: They have the split screen, they have the split.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Screen, they have Sunday Ticket now, they have all your
- 33:16Speaker 1: local channels. It's the best.
- 33:18Speaker 2: I was watching the Braves and when in football at
- 33:20Speaker 2: the same time. Awesome.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Yes, that's technology guys.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Awesome.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Yeah, but no, but I know, but YouTube TV is.
- 33:26Speaker 1: It's amazing. So being a hater, but I'm just saying there,
- 33:29Speaker 1: they're gonna get there eventually. Like technology. Also Sunday ticket. Yeah,
- 33:33Speaker 1: I mean the Internet was crazy to technology in the world.
- 33:35Speaker 1: But if you don't have the right to Sunday ticket,
- 33:37Speaker 1: it sucks balls. Yeah. Now I'm just saying, like, you
- 33:40Speaker 1: can go to sports bar and watch the Braves game.
- 33:41Speaker 2: I want to go to a sports I'm sitting on
- 33:43Speaker 2: my couch watching have I.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Be yes, okay for you, that's awesome, dude. Jordan love
- 33:49Speaker 1: statline last night, sixteen to thirty, one hundred and eighty
- 33:52Speaker 1: two yards and he went full dak.
- 33:55Speaker 3: Three receptions. Yeah, but dacks were desperate, dumb interceptions. Jordan
- 33:59Speaker 3: was trying to win the game all three times. DA
- 34:02Speaker 3: was trying to get out of the game.
- 34:03Speaker 1: I think, Uh, so I watch a little bit of that,
- 34:06Speaker 1: And I did watch a little bit of the of
- 34:08Speaker 1: the old Chet versus Wimby. Oh yeah, do you watch
- 34:11Speaker 1: that a little bit? Probably like a quarter of it?
- 34:14Speaker 1: Did you buy the pass? The League Pass? I watched
- 34:16Speaker 1: it on like TikTok with somebody was showing on. Yeah.
- 34:19Speaker 1: I watched DFC like that the other night. Yeah. I hard.
- 34:21Speaker 1: And then when I would go off of it, I
- 34:23Speaker 1: would go back to it because the heart of it,
- 34:25Speaker 1: you can go to things you liked. Yeah, and I
- 34:26Speaker 1: watched it on that and so uh Wimby statlane last
- 34:29Speaker 1: night nineteen minutes, eight for thirteen from the field, two
- 34:33Speaker 1: for five from three to twenty points, five rebounds, two steals,
- 34:35Speaker 1: one block. Chet also played really well last night. So
- 34:37Speaker 1: it was just the two really tall guys chat also
- 34:40Speaker 1: with a thunder looks kind of ripped. He's still too skinny. Yeah,
- 34:43Speaker 1: he looks ripped, but he's also he's put on. I
- 34:45Speaker 1: tried to put on fifteen pounds. I don't even know
- 34:47Speaker 1: that somebody can google how much way to shed home
- 34:50Speaker 1: go put on last year. But he didn't play it
- 34:52Speaker 1: all because heard himself playing in that summer fun league
- 34:54Speaker 1: with Lebron Fun league. Yeah, good times. So I think
- 34:58Speaker 1: he's put on. If I were guess fifteen pounds. When
- 35:01Speaker 1: you find the answer to that, let me know.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Says he's two o seven right now. I don't know
- 35:04Speaker 2: what he put on. Said he was one to ninety five.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Okay, dang, look at that ten twelve pounds. Who's got
- 35:12Speaker 1: eyeballs for dude's bodies? You do. Let's go see those muscles.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Thank you. They're thinking about putting flag football in the Olympics.
- 35:19Speaker 1: I like it me too. I think that'd be really cool,
- 35:23Speaker 1: especially if we can beat other countries, because when we
- 35:25Speaker 1: saw flag football at the Pro Bowl kind of sucked
- 35:27Speaker 1: because nobody was taking it seriously. If you're playing country
- 35:30Speaker 1: versus country for a gold medal, it's a bit gonna
- 35:33Speaker 1: get chippy and rugby ish, and it's gonna be awesome,
- 35:36Speaker 1: and we're gonna dominate everbody because nobody plays football, that's right.
- 35:38Speaker 1: It's gonna be us in basketball back in the day
- 35:41Speaker 1: until everybody got better than us of asking the dream team.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Yeah yeah.
- 35:44Speaker 3: And when my kids played flag football, like sometimes they
- 35:47Speaker 3: just tackle because they're just exactly I forget that they're
- 35:49Speaker 3: playing flag football.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Yeah, that's gonna be awesome.
- 35:52Speaker 2: Who competes, Like, who plays, you know, for our country?
- 35:55Speaker 1: Brady Brady comes back and plays.
- 35:58Speaker 2: Because they're a professional flag football team out there.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, no, no no. And here's the dumbest
- 36:02Speaker 1: thing ever I know.
- 36:03Speaker 2: But NFL guys will not want to get hurt.
- 36:05Speaker 1: They're not going to get hurt. It's flag football.
- 36:08Speaker 2: I would contract.
- 36:09Speaker 1: I would say, you would have if not NFL guys,
- 36:11Speaker 1: you would have x NFL guys, yes, Joe Montana. No,
- 36:15Speaker 1: not old guys. You would have guys that are playing
- 36:18Speaker 1: in like the USFL, or those kind of that were
- 36:21Speaker 1: quarterbacks in the NFL for a minute, A great college players.
- 36:24Speaker 3: Vince Young again too old, Okay, I don't think both.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Keeping himself in shape, but I think it would be
- 36:32Speaker 1: super cool. But who plays, right Canada?
- 36:36Speaker 3: Yeah, Canadian Football League, Poland, Germany, American Football Poland.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it would be tough, we dominate everybody,
- 36:43Speaker 1: but it'll be awesome. But that would be fun to want.
- 36:45Speaker 3: Oh, Australia, I bet you they could probably figure it
- 36:47Speaker 3: out pretty quick with rugby.
- 36:48Speaker 1: But the great thing is it would be something for
- 36:51Speaker 1: American football to us to grow because if it's in
- 36:54Speaker 1: the Olympics, you'd have a lot of people seeing it
- 36:56Speaker 1: for the first time or being like, oh, we should
- 36:57Speaker 1: pay more. It's a reason I ever watched soccer Olympics
- 37:00Speaker 1: or World Cup.
- 37:01Speaker 2: The NFL will love it.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Yeah, they're trying to expand their footprints, so that that
- 37:05Speaker 1: would be cool. There should be two American teams though
- 37:09Speaker 1: NFC AFC okay East and West retire or not not
- 37:13Speaker 1: NFL two American teams, maybe one NFL one non NFL
- 37:18Speaker 1: of other player because you're not gonna get the best
- 37:19Speaker 1: NFL players, so you're gonna get some, but you're also
- 37:21Speaker 1: gonna get those guys I'm talking about that aren't in
- 37:23Speaker 1: the league anymore, or oh, I just got a bunch
- 37:27Speaker 1: of or it could be like NBA play or other
- 37:32Speaker 1: professional athletes that want to go play flight football. Yeah.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Oh like those guys always say, oh when I was
- 37:36Speaker 2: in high school.
- 37:37Speaker 1: That's true. A bunch of Uncle Rico's the Americans Super
- 37:41Speaker 1: Bowl odds. Here we go, we got new ones here. Yeah,
- 37:44Speaker 1: I bet those changed a lot. They did. Your number
- 37:46Speaker 1: one team at plus three fifty Sanranisco forty nine, Kan
- 37:49Speaker 1: City Chiefs a plus five to fifty.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Oh really?
- 37:51Speaker 1: Second? Yeah? What do you think was Dolphins? All right? Fourth,
- 37:55Speaker 1: I'll put the Dolphins above the Chiefs. You would, Yeah,
- 37:58Speaker 1: I wouldn't, just because if I got to pick one
- 38:01Speaker 1: of those two to win from the AFC, I'm taking
- 38:02Speaker 1: the Chiefs now because they've done it before. In two Well, Ahane's.
- 38:07Speaker 3: Hurt, sure, yeah, yeah, I mean that's gonna hurt him.
- 38:10Speaker 3: But I think what three games?
- 38:12Speaker 1: I think I can leave in Mahomes until he makes
- 38:14Speaker 1: me not. Man, Mahomes is walking weird.
- 38:16Speaker 3: You guys see it like it just seems like his
- 38:17Speaker 3: body's gone through so much that his walk has even changed.
- 38:21Speaker 1: He does everything where he talks weird.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, close for the huddle weird.
- 38:25Speaker 1: He sounds like a hillbilly is like, hey, everybody get
- 38:27Speaker 1: over here. Yeah that's hilarious. Okay, So forty nine Ers, Chiefs, Eagles,
- 38:31Speaker 1: then Dolphins, then Bills, then the Lions and Cowboys at
- 38:35Speaker 1: plus fifteen line. Oh, that's pretty cool. Do we believe
- 38:39Speaker 1: in the Lions? Yes? Or no?
- 38:39Speaker 2: Yes?
- 38:41Speaker 1: Why do we not believe in the Lions? If you
- 38:43Speaker 1: had to have a reason not to believe in them?
- 38:44Speaker 2: Because they haven't done it yet?
- 38:45Speaker 1: Yeah, that's pretty much the only reason.
- 38:46Speaker 2: I mean, they weren't even in the playoffs last year.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Even even in golf. Like, he hasn't done it yet,
- 38:50Speaker 1: but he's like the greatest quarterback hits spread in like
- 38:52Speaker 1: the last ten years. And don't they blame it on
- 38:55Speaker 1: like the owner's front office, like the owners, Yeah, because
- 38:59Speaker 1: they don't run an organization very well. But Aiden Hutson's awesome.
- 39:03Speaker 1: The interception he made, yeah, from defensive vent boom catches
- 39:06Speaker 1: the ball in his hand, right, awesome. All right, I'm
- 39:09Speaker 1: gonna here's what I'm gonna do right now, because we
- 39:12Speaker 1: did my betting and I'm up on the year, like
- 39:15Speaker 1: eight hundred bucks in my account right now, I have
- 39:19Speaker 1: a couple thousand bucks. I'm gonna take some put it
- 39:21Speaker 1: back in my checking account. I love doing that. But
- 39:23Speaker 1: I'm also gonna put a future in all the numbers
- 39:26Speaker 1: say the same with what I've won lost, But if
- 39:29Speaker 1: it's sitting on my account, then I know then it's
- 39:31Speaker 1: right there to easy.
- 39:32Speaker 3: So that's when you really want. When that money is
- 39:34Speaker 3: in your wallet, that's when you want. Yeah, because if
- 39:36Speaker 3: you keep it in the account, you haven't won yet. Yeah,
- 39:38Speaker 3: still in there to go back. Yeah, I agree.
- 39:41Speaker 1: And I got a future on the Cowboys, and I
- 39:43Speaker 1: got a future on the Ravens that I've made during
- 39:45Speaker 1: the show. I'm gonna make another future bet now because
- 39:47Speaker 1: if I win a bunch, I try to go back
- 39:49Speaker 1: in just a little bit, just take a little nibble,
- 39:51Speaker 1: and it's not investing, but it's like fun vesting. Interesting.
- 39:56Speaker 1: So I'm gonna make a future beats with a lot
- 39:58Speaker 1: of them up with my winnings from this week, a
- 39:59Speaker 1: little bit of it and then who knows, maybe when.
- 40:01Speaker 3: And you had Cowboys and who you said already Baltimore, Okay,
- 40:04Speaker 3: you can put the Niners in there.
- 40:06Speaker 1: I don't let me see what the odds are. Not
- 40:08Speaker 1: the odds, but let me see what the money is though.
- 40:10Speaker 1: Let's see here. Okay, let me go to NFL Boom,
- 40:14Speaker 1: let me go to futures Niners Eagles? Do you take
- 40:19Speaker 1: on that?
- 40:20Speaker 2: Niners?
- 40:21Speaker 1: Okay? If San Franciscos three fifty, I made you go
- 40:23Speaker 1: with Man the Eagles though, or solid at plus eight
- 40:26Speaker 1: hundred no? Oh yes, oh yeah, that's that's great. So
- 40:30Speaker 1: if I do the.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Eagles, that's to win the whole thing.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Yeah. So I'm gonna do the Eagles at three hundred
- 40:38Speaker 1: and fifty bucks to make one d fifty dollars, I'd
- 40:42Speaker 1: be amazing. That's my future now, okay, three fifty.
- 40:46Speaker 2: I'm just gonna do a little something with my winnings
- 40:48Speaker 2: this week, No big.
- 40:49Speaker 1: Deal done, and then I'm gonna take a thousand bucks
- 40:53Speaker 1: out of it and put it back on my account.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Nice and get yourself something nice with that. No, you
- 40:57Speaker 1: know what's a nice putting money back on my account?
- 41:00Speaker 1: It is?
- 41:00Speaker 2: It is nice, freaking awesome.
- 41:02Speaker 1: I haven't done that in a long time. So, okay,
- 41:04Speaker 1: feel pretty good about that. We are about to talk
- 41:06Speaker 1: to Bumper Pool. Bumper Pool is a three time second
- 41:10Speaker 1: team All SEC linebacker. He is Arkansas's all time leading
- 41:14Speaker 1: tackler with four hundred and forty one tackles. His name
- 41:16Speaker 1: is legally Bumper Pool. He changed his name from James
- 41:20Speaker 1: to Bumper when he was sixteen years old, and after
- 41:22Speaker 1: he finished at Arkansas, he went as a free agent
- 41:25Speaker 1: to the Carolina Panthers. But now he's a free agent
- 41:27Speaker 1: again and so here he is. He was a beast.
- 41:30Speaker 1: If anybody knows about the SEC, it is Bumper, Pool Bumper.
- 41:34Speaker 1: What's up, buddy on.
- 41:35Speaker 6: The munch, Just hanging out in Charlotte. How are you doing? Well?
- 41:38Speaker 1: Yeah? Why Charlotte?
- 41:39Speaker 7: So I'm still here in Charlotte just because I was
- 41:42Speaker 7: with the Panthers and then just kind of want to
- 41:44Speaker 7: stay out here just in case something happened and I
- 41:47Speaker 7: got to try out later on the year or got
- 41:49Speaker 7: signed later on in the year.
- 41:51Speaker 1: So after the draft, whenever the draft finishes and it's
- 41:54Speaker 1: time to pick, because you are a free agent, but
- 41:57Speaker 1: you basically we're set every tackling record. Like, you know,
- 42:01Speaker 1: did you feel a bit like one of the teams
- 42:02Speaker 1: was going to pick you up in the draft?
- 42:05Speaker 7: Well, the only problem is is I had surgery after
- 42:09Speaker 7: the Old Miss game, So I knew going into it
- 42:11Speaker 7: that getting drafted was going to be tough. But obviously
- 42:14Speaker 7: in the back of my mind, I was like, I
- 42:16Speaker 7: put good tape out there where I thought I had
- 42:18Speaker 7: a chance, and I had visited with Charlotte, actually took
- 42:21Speaker 7: a visit out here, but I think their last draft
- 42:24Speaker 7: pick was in the fifth round. So with them, I
- 42:26Speaker 7: knew it was probably going to be like a free
- 42:28Speaker 7: agent situation.
- 42:29Speaker 1: Whenever you got as a free agent, because we came
- 42:32Speaker 1: to camp a little bit art, a little group did.
- 42:34Speaker 1: And what what is it like when you're in adult
- 42:37Speaker 1: men there you have thirty five year old men. Now
- 42:39Speaker 1: you're in the locker room with where it was you
- 42:41Speaker 1: were the old guy, you know, and now all of
- 42:42Speaker 1: a sudden you're not anymore.
- 42:43Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean most of these guys are talking about
- 42:45Speaker 7: their kids, and that's just a super you know, different adjustment.
- 42:49Speaker 7: And like these guys this is you know, they're either
- 42:51Speaker 7: feeding their family or you're feeding yours. So it really
- 42:54Speaker 7: gets down to that, like, you know, this is a
- 42:56Speaker 7: this is a big business and it's cutthroat and they
- 42:59Speaker 7: mean business.
- 43:00Speaker 6: Like.
- 43:00Speaker 7: The transition obviously was talent wise is one thing, but
- 43:03Speaker 7: the maturity level, like you kind of have to step
- 43:05Speaker 7: into that role of hey, I'm with a bunch of
- 43:07Speaker 7: you know, grown men.
- 43:08Speaker 1: So you're in Charlotte. Still are you working out every
- 43:11Speaker 1: day in or five six days a week, whatever the
- 43:13Speaker 1: schedule is in case you get the call, And do
- 43:15Speaker 1: you feel like, because you've talked to people there, that
- 43:17Speaker 1: it might be the Carolina Panthers since you already have
- 43:21Speaker 1: a relationship with them. Yeah.
- 43:22Speaker 7: So, I mean, I'm staying in shape, running every day,
- 43:24Speaker 7: just trying to make sure my cardio stays there, because
- 43:26Speaker 7: I think that's probably the hardest thing to get back.
- 43:30Speaker 7: But I had to work out with the Denver Broncos
- 43:33Speaker 7: a couple of weeks ago, so really it can be anywhere.
- 43:36Speaker 7: I just wanted to stay out here just because I knew,
- 43:38Speaker 7: you know, this staff and everyone and the best. But
- 43:42Speaker 7: it's the NFL and it's you.
- 43:43Speaker 6: Know, really hard to make a roster.
- 43:46Speaker 7: So I'm kind of being realistic with it, but at
- 43:48Speaker 7: the same time, just staying ready.
- 43:50Speaker 1: What does your agent say to you, like, Hey, just
- 43:52Speaker 1: keep working, this is common or hey, keep working, We'll
- 43:55Speaker 1: see what happens.
- 43:57Speaker 7: My agent is really good about just kind of keeping
- 44:00Speaker 7: things real. I mean, he's obviously like, hey, stay ready.
- 44:02Speaker 7: Anything can happen. People are going to get hurt throughout
- 44:04Speaker 7: the season.
- 44:06Speaker 6: But you know, I'm also someone that is pretty realistic
- 44:09Speaker 6: with myself.
- 44:10Speaker 7: I gave it my best shot earlier this year, and
- 44:13Speaker 7: I'm staying ready if anything happens, but at the same
- 44:15Speaker 7: time making sure that I'm continuing to reach out to
- 44:18Speaker 7: people and kind of figure out what my next step is.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Are you thinking like football media? I mean, is that
- 44:23Speaker 1: the You're a good looking dude. I'm jealous, Like, you
- 44:25Speaker 1: got the chisel chin, you got the you know you,
- 44:28Speaker 1: the pedigree, the football everything that I don't have. You have.
- 44:32Speaker 1: So if if the playing or when the playing career finishes,
- 44:35Speaker 1: even if it's ten years from now, is this something
- 44:37Speaker 1: you'd like to do.
- 44:38Speaker 6: I would.
- 44:38Speaker 7: I think it's something that I've always loved to talk about,
- 44:42Speaker 7: and so if I had the opportunity to be able
- 44:43Speaker 7: to do media going forward, I would love it. But
- 44:47Speaker 7: you know, you know how the industry is, it's hard
- 44:48Speaker 7: to get into. So if I just kind of continue
- 44:51Speaker 7: to do some stuff here and there. I've been on
- 44:53Speaker 7: the SEC Network twice this season, and so it's been
- 44:56Speaker 7: great that they've been able to give me some opportunities.
- 44:59Speaker 1: Well, then let's talk college football. Are you able to
- 45:01Speaker 1: keep up with it?
- 45:03Speaker 6: Oh?
- 45:03Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean Saturday mornings, I'm getting a big sweat
- 45:06Speaker 7: in kind of getting my game day workout in and
- 45:08Speaker 7: then I'm sitting on the couch watching football the.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Entire Yeah, I get my sweat in by watching football
- 45:13Speaker 1: because I'm sweating so much because I'm just like, oh,
- 45:15Speaker 1: so let's start with this. I do want to talk
- 45:17Speaker 1: about the SEC where Georgia wins again, but they win
- 45:21Speaker 1: big and they really haven't played anybody up until Kentucky,
- 45:24Speaker 1: and a lot of people were doubting that Georgia could
- 45:26Speaker 1: be the team that wins the National Championship again. Is
- 45:28Speaker 1: Georgia versus everybody else again? Are they back at number
- 45:31Speaker 1: one in your eyes?
- 45:32Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 45:32Speaker 7: I think they're the most complete college football team. I
- 45:34Speaker 7: think Michigan's probably the closest to them, But in the SEC.
- 45:39Speaker 6: I think it's Georgia.
- 45:41Speaker 7: I think that they're going to run the table in
- 45:42Speaker 7: the East and then they're probably gonna meet Alabama in
- 45:46Speaker 7: the Sea Championship.
- 45:46Speaker 1: Well you think about Alabama because again, same type of situation. Obviously,
- 45:50Speaker 1: they lose the Texas earlier this year, but in the
- 45:52Speaker 1: SEC West SEC, they haven't lost any games to beat
- 45:55Speaker 1: All miss and then they put it to Texas A
- 45:57Speaker 1: and M when most well, a lot of people felt
- 45:59Speaker 1: like A and M was to win that game. So
- 46:01Speaker 1: how do you feel that Alabama's progress is coming along,
- 46:04Speaker 1: especially at the quarterback position.
- 46:06Speaker 6: Yeah, I was kind kind of with the Aggies there.
- 46:09Speaker 7: I thought they were going to take down Alabama, but
- 46:12Speaker 7: Alabama came back on the road had a great performance.
- 46:16Speaker 7: I mean, Jalen Milroe had what three hundred and twenty
- 46:19Speaker 7: something yards three touchdowns, so he kind of put the
- 46:22Speaker 7: I'm not a pastor, you know, conversation to bed and
- 46:24Speaker 7: I think that was the biggest, you know, doubt for Alabama.
- 46:28Speaker 7: But their defense has always been there, and I think
- 46:31Speaker 7: that them taking care of A and M already played
- 46:34Speaker 7: Old Miss, and the way LSU's defense is played, I
- 46:36Speaker 7: think Alabama has a pretty good shot to run the West.
- 46:39Speaker 1: Isn't it weird the LSU's defense sucks because I'm used
- 46:42Speaker 1: to LSU having a really good defense, like always regardless,
- 46:44Speaker 1: and I understand there's a whole new regime there, but
- 46:46Speaker 1: it's weird to see LSU giving up thirty forty fifty
- 46:49Speaker 1: points in a game.
- 46:50Speaker 7: Yeah, it's honestly, I think everyone's surprised. I mean, I
- 46:53Speaker 7: think even Brian Kelly might be.
- 46:55Speaker 6: Surprised by that.
- 46:56Speaker 7: This is a team that usually, like you said, has
- 46:58Speaker 7: the talent from Louisiana and they're really going on defense.
- 47:01Speaker 7: So that's their biggest, you know, biggest problem right now,
- 47:06Speaker 7: and that's something that's not gonna carry over well trying
- 47:09Speaker 7: to get to the SC Championship.
- 47:11Speaker 1: So I've been down Death Valley a couple times, once
- 47:13Speaker 1: in the day, once at night, and the nighttime game
- 47:15Speaker 1: was really loud. As a player, and you're in these
- 47:18Speaker 1: stadiums and it can be Death Valley, it could be
- 47:21Speaker 1: for some be the Swamp, it could be more Memorial,
- 47:24Speaker 1: small stadium, but loud. What is the loudest stadium that
- 47:27Speaker 1: you've played into the point where you're like, holy crap,
- 47:30Speaker 1: I don't even know what's going on. But does it
- 47:32Speaker 1: really also affect you?
- 47:33Speaker 6: It does affect the team.
- 47:35Speaker 7: I mean, I think as a defensive player, it's almost
- 47:37Speaker 7: easier when you're playing on the road because it's quiet
- 47:40Speaker 7: and your communications easier, But your offense is having to
- 47:44Speaker 7: deal with some hectic, you know, environments like Sanford. We
- 47:47Speaker 7: played Georgia College game Day was there and it was
- 47:50Speaker 7: at eleven o'clock in the morning. The place was you know, nuts,
- 47:54Speaker 7: the Death Valley at night is a crazy place to
- 47:58Speaker 7: play at. So I mean those those stadiums, it affects
- 48:01Speaker 7: your offense because they can't communicate and not making checks.
- 48:04Speaker 7: You're getting you know, false starts and whatnot. But as
- 48:06Speaker 7: a defensive player, I almost think it's it's better because
- 48:09Speaker 7: everyone hates you and it's honestly quieter.
- 48:11Speaker 1: I never thought about that, Eddie, the fact that defense
- 48:14Speaker 1: it has kind it is quiet because they want their
- 48:16Speaker 1: offense to actually hear the plays. Yeah, like that would
- 48:18Speaker 1: be pretty legit. I'd be like looking forward to going
- 48:20Speaker 1: to the loud stadiums. Do you ever feel like the villain?
- 48:23Speaker 1: Like you have to have the mindset of like you're
- 48:25Speaker 1: going in and you're the villain and all right, let's
- 48:27Speaker 1: go screw everybody.
- 48:29Speaker 6: Oh yeah, you kind of.
- 48:29Speaker 7: Put yourself in some headspaces before the game, just trying
- 48:32Speaker 7: to like kind of get a crazy, you know, I'm
- 48:34Speaker 7: a crazy villain mindset. And especially at Dead Valley, I
- 48:37Speaker 7: always took that game personally because growing up watching the
- 48:41Speaker 7: Arkansas lsu rivally, it was always.
- 48:42Speaker 1: So big to me. Yeah, me too, And and it
- 48:46Speaker 1: almost didn't matter how good the teams were. It was
- 48:49Speaker 1: one of those where you kind of didn't know where
- 48:51Speaker 1: the game would end up. I mean, I remember when
- 48:53Speaker 1: Arkansas beat LSU and McFadden, you know, in the bat
- 48:56Speaker 1: in Houston, Nutt And we didn't have a great year
- 48:58Speaker 1: that year, but we beat them. It kind of kept
- 49:00Speaker 1: out of it like that. That is a good rivalry.
- 49:01Speaker 1: It's like the Texas OU game. Did you watch any
- 49:03Speaker 1: of that one?
- 49:04Speaker 6: Oh? Yeah, that was an incredible rivalry.
- 49:05Speaker 7: And I'm from the Dallas areas, so like, I know
- 49:07Speaker 7: a whole bunch of guys that went to Texas and
- 49:09Speaker 7: they were just crushed.
- 49:11Speaker 1: So you're watching that game, and Texas was a favorite
- 49:13Speaker 1: going in I think six a six point favorite. My
- 49:16Speaker 1: family's all owe you people, which is annoying too, but
- 49:20Speaker 1: I'd rather than be O you people in Texas people,
- 49:22Speaker 1: if I'm being honest. And so I'm watching and I'm
- 49:24Speaker 1: rooting for OU over Texas. Texas looks great. The game's
- 49:29Speaker 1: wild the first half. It's back and forth, it's one
- 49:31Speaker 1: crazy play after the next. But Texas looked just consistently
- 49:35Speaker 1: good offensive defense until the end of the game. Obviously,
- 49:39Speaker 1: any chance Texas still wins the Big twelve and makes
- 49:41Speaker 1: it to the fourteen playoff, I.
- 49:42Speaker 6: Definitely think they have a shot.
- 49:44Speaker 7: The only problem about Texas is you knew they were
- 49:45Speaker 7: going to lose one game, and I didn't think it
- 49:48Speaker 7: was going to be versus OU. I thought this game
- 49:50Speaker 7: was that they're gonna brow all their chips in, they're
- 49:51Speaker 7: gonna win this one and maybe slip down the road.
- 49:54Speaker 6: But it's always it's Texas.
- 49:56Speaker 7: They're going to lose another one in my opinion, and
- 49:59Speaker 7: it's going to be tough for them to in especially
- 50:00Speaker 7: with four teams.
- 50:01Speaker 1: Where was the easiest place to play on the road
- 50:02Speaker 1: where you went and you were like, man, those kind
- 50:04Speaker 1: of easy, they're quiet, they're like super friendly, and they're
- 50:08Speaker 1: kind of rooting for me.
- 50:10Speaker 6: I mean Missouri.
- 50:15Speaker 1: That's funny. Yeah, I felt that too, because sometimes on
- 50:17Speaker 1: the hill is empty up there and there's nobody. But yeah,
- 50:20Speaker 1: that's a good one. Do you have a question for.
- 50:21Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Bumper. Are you able to be a fan
- 50:24Speaker 3: like especially now like you're you know, you you going
- 50:27Speaker 3: to the NFL, You're looking for teams, like can you
- 50:30Speaker 3: just openly say like, I'm a Cowboys fan, but I'll
- 50:32Speaker 3: play for the Broncos.
- 50:33Speaker 1: Got question?
- 50:35Speaker 7: Oh yeah, I'm a I'm a Cowboys fan at heart.
- 50:38Speaker 6: So that's never gonna change.
- 50:40Speaker 7: And but yeah, whenever you're trying to make a team whatever,
- 50:42Speaker 7: you kind of just don't think about it because it's
- 50:44Speaker 7: just like I need to try to make the team,
- 50:47Speaker 7: you know, it's not necessarily much about how that team does,
- 50:49Speaker 7: so like there's just levels to it. I'm sure if
- 50:52Speaker 7: I ever made a team and got to actually play
- 50:55Speaker 7: for him for a while, it would change, But as
- 50:57Speaker 7: of now, YE still still Cowboys fan.
- 50:59Speaker 1: You dealt with some injuries you're final season. I mean
- 51:00Speaker 1: you deal with injuries your whole career, obviously just playing
- 51:02Speaker 1: the position that you played, but you talked about you
- 51:05Speaker 1: having to have surgery and it probably affected your draft stock.
- 51:08Speaker 1: So the difference between playing hurd and injured and is
- 51:10Speaker 1: it is it always a fine line too as a
- 51:13Speaker 1: player and how much you actually want to let people
- 51:15Speaker 1: know so they don't pull you out.
- 51:17Speaker 7: Yeah, I think that, especially nowadays, you know you can
- 51:20Speaker 7: either leave your legacy in college or take a chance,
- 51:24Speaker 7: you know, not play through an injury and try to
- 51:25Speaker 7: make it into pros. But my thing was I knew
- 51:28Speaker 7: my chances were in the NFL starting out, so I
- 51:31Speaker 7: was going to give everything I had for my college team.
- 51:33Speaker 7: Because you know, if you if you give a fan
- 51:35Speaker 7: base everything you have, like they'll remember it, especially when
- 51:38Speaker 7: you've done playing. But I think some of the guys,
- 51:40Speaker 7: like the top talents that know they're going in the
- 51:42Speaker 7: first round, it makes sense if they get hurt to.
- 51:44Speaker 6: Not play through it.
- 51:45Speaker 7: But for guys that are just grinders, like, go ahead
- 51:48Speaker 7: and play as hard you can for a fan base
- 51:50Speaker 7: and they'll take care of you.
- 51:51Speaker 1: What was it like because you got to be there
- 51:52Speaker 1: in the early days of the NIL where it's new
- 51:55Speaker 1: to everybody. Now there's a little more known about it
- 51:58Speaker 1: and how to do it, and there's you know, folks
- 52:00Speaker 1: they've brought in to make sure that they're running away
- 52:03Speaker 1: that is compliance based. But I mean it just starts.
- 52:06Speaker 1: And how quickly when they go, okay, we now can
- 52:08Speaker 1: have ANIL. Did you start getting calls going, hey, man,
- 52:10Speaker 1: can I give you some money to do stuff?
- 52:12Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 52:12Speaker 7: I mean, honestly, it was the wild West when I
- 52:14Speaker 7: first started, and it wasn't necessarily people just call.
- 52:17Speaker 6: Me up saying like, hey, let me give you money.
- 52:19Speaker 6: Like me and my dad.
- 52:20Speaker 7: He had a bunch of connections, and so we kind
- 52:22Speaker 7: of went out and kind of created a model just
- 52:24Speaker 7: be like, hey, let's go find five different industries, people
- 52:28Speaker 7: that you're close with and just try to get your
- 52:30Speaker 7: you know, your head and the door and are foot
- 52:32Speaker 7: in the door and try to meet these people. So
- 52:34Speaker 7: whenever you're done playing, not only did you kind of
- 52:36Speaker 7: make some money you know in the nil world, but
- 52:39Speaker 7: then you have an opportunity now where your connections are
- 52:42Speaker 7: tight with them whenever you're trying to find a job
- 52:43Speaker 7: or whatnot.
- 52:44Speaker 1: What was like the best guy making don't say who
- 52:46Speaker 1: it is, I don't want you to throw any names out,
- 52:48Speaker 1: but what was the best guy making? And was there
- 52:49Speaker 1: a huge difference in like he's showing up on our
- 52:53Speaker 1: rolls Royce versus you know somebody who's not getting any
- 52:56Speaker 1: nil money at all.
- 52:57Speaker 6: I mean you're talking about like in the country.
- 52:59Speaker 1: How much like around either that you knew or that
- 53:02Speaker 1: was on the team.
- 53:02Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean here's guys that were probably making you know,
- 53:05Speaker 7: mid high you know, six figures. But the time, it
- 53:10Speaker 7: was like there wasn't enough time to spend the money
- 53:11Speaker 7: because it just was so new, you know, there wasn't
- 53:13Speaker 7: guys shown up and like I said, a Roy's Royce.
- 53:15Speaker 7: But I think there's been some car deals where guys
- 53:17Speaker 7: are getting some uh some nice cars and whatnot.
- 53:20Speaker 1: There's always time to spend money. There's always easy Yeah. Yeah,
- 53:24Speaker 1: I get online, I get on the ass, spend it
- 53:26Speaker 1: all there. I want to talk about it.
- 53:28Speaker 6: They keep you pretty busy now in college.
- 53:29Speaker 1: I want to talk about social media for a second.
- 53:31Speaker 1: If a good game or a bad game, obviously same
- 53:34Speaker 1: with me here if it's a good show or a
- 53:35Speaker 1: bad show. People like to say stuff and have opinions
- 53:38Speaker 1: and they don't know what the crap they're talking about
- 53:39Speaker 1: most of the time. So how hard is it after
- 53:42Speaker 1: a game that didn't go your way to look at
- 53:44Speaker 1: social media or did you have kind of boundaries that
- 53:46Speaker 1: you put on yourself that you followed.
- 53:48Speaker 7: I mean, you can put the boundaries out there, but
- 53:50Speaker 7: I think you're eventually going to try to check it out.
- 53:52Speaker 6: Just human nature.
- 53:54Speaker 7: But I mean someone said said like as saying it
- 53:56Speaker 7: was like, why would you listen to someone's criticism if
- 54:00Speaker 7: you wouldn't take their advice? And I think that one,
- 54:02Speaker 7: to me was the biggest thing. Like, you know, hog
- 54:04Speaker 7: Fan ninety five, their their comments on my performance is
- 54:08Speaker 7: not going to change anything because I wouldn't you go
- 54:10Speaker 7: to them and say how do you play linebacker? You know,
- 54:12Speaker 7: they're just you kind of have to take it all
- 54:15Speaker 7: with the grain of salt and kind of look at
- 54:17Speaker 7: it through a different lens if you would. But yeah,
- 54:19Speaker 7: nowadays the way that social media is, people are cruel.
- 54:23Speaker 7: But as a player, you kind of just have to
- 54:24Speaker 7: know who you are. And I think if you if
- 54:27Speaker 7: you work hard.
- 54:27Speaker 6: Enough, then it won't affect you.
- 54:28Speaker 7: But if you're one of those guys that kind of
- 54:30Speaker 7: lives for social media, then I think it affects you
- 54:32Speaker 7: more because you're kind of putting your foundation in the
- 54:35Speaker 7: wrong wrong rock.
- 54:37Speaker 1: I guess I thought when I was Hog fan ninety five,
- 54:38Speaker 1: I would say nice things to you. I didn't realize
- 54:40Speaker 1: I was maybe not saying that the night. Oh man,
- 54:43Speaker 1: So let's let's be very selfish then for a second
- 54:45Speaker 1: and talk about Arkansas. What what's what's happening? Man?
- 54:48Speaker 7: I just think it's one of those seasons where there's
- 54:51Speaker 7: not a ton of guys. Obviously kJ is back, but
- 54:55Speaker 7: like you know, there's not a lot of older leadership.
- 54:58Speaker 7: And I think when you have coaching or whatever, you
- 55:01Speaker 7: need guys that have been through the past, like the
- 55:03Speaker 7: two intend seasons to be like, hey, we've been here,
- 55:06Speaker 7: we know how horrible it is, Like you have to
- 55:08Speaker 7: give that extra step so you don't get back there.
- 55:11Speaker 7: We kind of had a couple winning seasons, so I
- 55:12Speaker 7: think that it can, you know, not get complacent, but
- 55:15Speaker 7: in a way that you can almost forget how bad
- 55:18Speaker 7: losing feels.
- 55:20Speaker 1: It sucks. I'm gonna tell you how it feels. I'm
- 55:22Speaker 1: not even the team. It sucks. I think about it
- 55:25Speaker 1: all the time. I feel like I'm the one losing
- 55:27Speaker 1: the games. It makes me. I hate it, like it
- 55:30Speaker 1: makes me sad. It's all I have bumper. Well that's
- 55:34Speaker 1: not true, but it feels like it's all I have bumper.
- 55:38Speaker 1: It's like I just float or sink with the team.
- 55:41Speaker 1: And this has been a really difficult year because we
- 55:44Speaker 1: had extremely high expectations, at least I did. And I'm
- 55:46Speaker 1: not mister expectation, but I felt like this year, this
- 55:49Speaker 1: is our year. But whatever, Man, if I start crying,
- 55:53Speaker 1: is that embarrassing Eddie? Right now? If I start Oh man,
- 55:55Speaker 1: you be you bumper dude. Congratus relations on. You know,
- 56:02Speaker 1: such a great career, and I hope you catch on somewhere.
- 56:04Speaker 1: And if you don't catch on, anywhere. Don't think you
- 56:06Speaker 1: ain't getting a call for me and going let's do something.
- 56:08Speaker 1: Let's get it going. You're gonna start a team. No,
- 56:10Speaker 1: no team, no, no, no, no, we're gonna bring No
- 56:13Speaker 1: I'm not playing ball. No no, no, no no. I
- 56:15Speaker 1: think you have the wrong idea we're gonna have. We're
- 56:16Speaker 1: gonna we're gonna do some media, you know some got it.
- 56:19Speaker 1: We gotta get Bumper in here. He's done at all. Man,
- 56:21Speaker 1: Bumper was like the hero of the state for years
- 56:26Speaker 1: and so it just such a good influence on other
- 56:29Speaker 1: teammates and such a leader. Bumper. We appreciate your talk today, buddy,
- 56:32Speaker 1: and stay healthy and hopefully I'll talk to you soon.
- 56:34Speaker 6: Yeah, thanks for having me there.
- 56:35Speaker 1: He is Bumper pool. Everybody we have the broken promises bucket.
- 56:40Speaker 1: It's funny name there, it is, right? And so how much?
- 56:44Speaker 1: How how much money's in there now?
- 56:46Speaker 2: Well read so it was all of his money?
- 56:47Speaker 1: I need cash.
- 56:48Speaker 2: We got thirty bucks in here right now?
- 56:50Speaker 1: What ten's mine?
- 56:51Speaker 2: Twenty mine?
- 56:52Speaker 1: Ed? You haven't lost?
- 56:53Speaker 3: Well lost one? I owe ten dollars. I really just
- 56:55Speaker 3: don't cash. I would pay it an art get cash,
- 56:58Speaker 3: I'll go to them.
- 57:00Speaker 1: So how much do you go? Ten buck's forty three?
- 57:02Speaker 1: How much you thirty? So there's seventy dollars in it. Now.
- 57:05Speaker 1: I was thinking about what we should do with the
- 57:06Speaker 1: money after we do this Broken Promises week. I'm interesting
- 57:08Speaker 1: to hear this. Yeah, me too, I'm interesting too, I'm
- 57:10Speaker 1: interested to hear this. So the broken Promises bucket. I
- 57:15Speaker 1: promised Arkansas would cover plus eleven. They did, so I
- 57:17Speaker 1: put no money in the broken Promises bucket. Good for you, Kevin.
- 57:21Speaker 2: I had Bengals minus two and a half covered easily
- 57:23Speaker 2: one by fourteen.
- 57:24Speaker 1: No broken promises, No broken promises, Keep your money, Eddie.
- 57:27Speaker 3: I had Kansas City minus four and a half. I
- 57:29Speaker 3: mean to me, that was a no brainer. I promised
- 57:31Speaker 3: it and to hit it boom read.
- 57:33Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure I had Lsu and Miszoo and I
- 57:36Speaker 4: had Miszoo minus.
- 57:37Speaker 2: Five plus five five?
- 57:39Speaker 4: Yeah, plus five?
- 57:40Speaker 1: Actually, yeah, do you even know what you're betting? Are
- 57:43Speaker 1: you just pointing it?
- 57:43Speaker 6: So?
- 57:43Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 57:44Speaker 4: Plus five means that they have to.
- 57:46Speaker 1: No, no, I know, but I didn't know if you knew. Yeah,
- 57:48Speaker 1: they after what.
- 57:49Speaker 4: They have to score more than five point or win
- 57:52Speaker 4: by more than five points.
- 57:53Speaker 2: Uh huh, or they have to win.
- 57:56Speaker 4: They know they have to lose buy less than five points, right,
- 58:00Speaker 4: or they.
- 58:01Speaker 1: Can at the end of the game when the score
- 58:04Speaker 1: is there, boom, and you give them plus five if
- 58:07Speaker 1: they win, then then they win. I'll look at that.
- 58:10Speaker 2: That makes it way. You're looking good for a while, Missouri.
- 58:14Speaker 1: So you lost, Yeah, he lost, So now he's got
- 58:16Speaker 1: to go forty in.
- 58:18Speaker 2: He's thirty.
- 58:18Speaker 1: Got it? Have you lost every time?
- 58:21Speaker 4: I've won one?
- 58:22Speaker 1: So we'll do another promise coming out. Good job, guys,
- 58:24Speaker 1: the promise crew. We promised. Uh So here's what we're
- 58:28Speaker 1: gonna do. All the money at the end of the year.
- 58:30Speaker 1: That's in the broken Promises bucket. Before the Super Bowl.
- 58:34Speaker 1: We'll pick a week, we'll determine a week, and then
- 58:36Speaker 1: we'll each go around and do like a three person
- 58:40Speaker 1: draft of the games we want to draft, like the
- 58:42Speaker 1: actual Like let's say it's Carolina plus three. I'm taking
- 58:44Speaker 1: Carolina plus three none, you guys can take it, and
- 58:46Speaker 1: then who remember scores? The best of the three picks
- 58:48Speaker 1: that they drafted gets all the money. So a game
- 58:52Speaker 1: on top of a game, because this already is a game. Yeah,
- 58:55Speaker 1: but how you give away the money? So but the
- 58:57Speaker 1: money is won by whomever has the best, and.
- 59:01Speaker 2: That like that's the very end.
- 59:03Speaker 1: Yeah, that's like the best that week, three or four
- 59:05Speaker 1: games and you'd be like, well, different people put different money,
- 59:07Speaker 1: and yeah, that's the person who stuck the most, has
- 59:08Speaker 1: the worst, could actually lose the most. Okay.
- 59:12Speaker 2: So like if Reid were to win, if we play
- 59:13Speaker 2: that right now, read one, it'd be okay, he invested
- 59:16Speaker 2: the most.
- 59:17Speaker 1: We'd picked three games. This week, we go around the room,
- 59:19Speaker 1: we'd spend it, spend the bottle and make out and
- 59:21Speaker 1: then the bottle lands on. You go first, Eddie. You'll
- 59:25Speaker 1: be like, Okay, this week I'm gonna go Alabama plus
- 59:27Speaker 1: eighteen Alabama minas eighteen versus Arkansas. So you get that.
- 59:30Speaker 1: I can't take that. I can tak Arkansas plus eighteen
- 59:33Speaker 1: versus Alabama, but I can't take your bed. And it
- 59:35Speaker 1: can be college and proy, but we may do five,
- 59:38Speaker 1: give it, give us a little room there.
- 59:40Speaker 2: So it has to be well towards the end of
- 59:42Speaker 2: the college season. Then if we want the full slate
- 59:44Speaker 2: of games.
- 59:44Speaker 1: Yeah, we can probably do it like the first week
- 59:47Speaker 1: of December something like that, and the winner gets all the money.
- 59:50Speaker 1: Exciting and if there's a tie, we could do it
- 59:52Speaker 1: even our bowl season. But if there's a tie, we
- 59:56Speaker 1: will not split it. We'll pick another sudden death game.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: Spin the bottle, Yes, make out, make that chick, whoever
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: was the best makeout?
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Or I'll be the judge. You both make out with me.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: I'll be the judge made out the best out? Uh, quickly,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: give me your one storyline from over the sports weekend? Eddie,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: you go first, I mean, what's this? What's sports Weekend?
- 1:00:18Speaker 6: Like?
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: What? Like? Dude?
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: Honestly, the first time ever, I told you guys, I
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: turned the Cowboys game off because I didn't finish it.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Who wanted to watch the end of that game?
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: And then and then Monday night, I really like didn't
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: have any appetite to watch that game at all. It
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: started and I was still like in the kitchen cooking
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: and my boys, we're.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: Gonna watch the game. I'm like, I'm really not in
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: the mood.
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: But once like I sat down to watch a second
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: of it, I got back into it.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: So it's it's all temporary. Are you excited about this week?
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: Uh?
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Chargers on Monday? I think we can handle that. You
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: know what spread is that one? I don't. It's week away, Okay, Kevin,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: give me.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: Yours mine was we talked about a little bit, but
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: USC and just how they were struggling with you of
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: a a little bit. Now their schedule gets a little
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: bit tougher, a lot more tougher last five six weeks
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: of this season, so I want to see what they have.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: They play Notre Dame. Notre Dame comes off a bad
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: loss against not Bad, but you know, it's a bad loss,
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: kind of a bad loss in Louisville. That's two in
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: the year, so they're gonna be hungry at home in
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: South Bend. So I want to see what USC does
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: this week.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Read.
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: I don't have one, but I do think it's funny
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: that since Taylor Swift didn't go to the last Chiefs game,
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: that everybody was freaking out.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: What do you mean that's the story though? Yeah, that's okay.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: You don't have to have like a super sports about it.
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, cool, you just be you, buddy, Okay, cool,
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: I'll just be me. So basically, yeah, just that the
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: fact that she wasn't therapy. I saw a lot of
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: people were saying that she like wasn't supporting the team. Now,
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: or that something was going on in between.
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: A couple of storylines that were interesting to me. With that,
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: the mom was on the Today Show talking about kind
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: of howse Kelsey's mom how she'd never met Taylor before
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: the time of the Box and then they asked her
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: like what was like, how did all that happen? And
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: she said, I can't really talk about that, and so
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: that's crazy. So to me, that's even more of like
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: this is so fishy. Mom had never met Taylor, movies
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: coming out, her movie's coming out. She doesn't really know
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: what to talk.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: About with all of this, all these commercials now.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: Taylor's brilliant.
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: And also on top of that, what Travis had a
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: birthday last week and she went there. People were there
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: at the restaurant, who saw him in a couple of
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: bud celebrating his birthday. She wasn't there for his birthday.
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: That's weird. Maybe she was there for another part though.
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: You know, there's a lot of things that people have
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: to do, can't get places to and fro.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: If you're dating someone, you're gonna make their birthday maybe
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: unless you're Taylor and you're so busy. Listen. I also
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: feel like there's probably something. But regardless, I enjoy it
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: because they've either they're doing their thing and they are
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: dating and people are like creating all these conspiracy theories
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: and that's hilarious to me. Or they're not dating and
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: everybody believes they are, and that's hilarious to me. All funny.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: This system is just being played regardless, I love it.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: With me. It just is. I don't even like sports anymore,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying, dude, I'm not in the mood.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: It's crazy now and I'm not That's not even gonna
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: be my line. It's just that I hate it. I
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: hate I was having a bad season drives me crazy.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: Mine is actually the club that I'm the golf club
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: that I joined three years or so ago. It's been
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: shut down for over a year and it opens back
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: up in a week. That's excited. They rebuilt the whole thing.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: And so I've been doing nothing. I've been just like
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: mooching golf off Gator and I don't you can pay
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: it back now and I don't get to play that well.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: They don't make me pay there. I just go play
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: with them. They don't make me pay that's cool. It's
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: just crazy. I'll be like, yeah, I'd be like, hey,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: let me pay you. He's like, no, they don't make
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: you pay because they're just they think it's cool you
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: come and play here. And I was like, I also
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: think it's cool I come and play here. That we
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: both went, we agree. So I'm excited about that because
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: then I can play a little bit more. But now
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: it's getting cold. But let's give it around, Let's give
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: it a run. I'm excited about it. And that's it. Okay,
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: So as we conclude today's show, thanks to Bumper Pool
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: for coming on. Thank you all. We had a really
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: bad overall sports week for all of us. Texas lost
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: and that's on Mike. Yeah, I felt rage for the
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: first time, like towards another fan base. Exactly is I
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: watched it with a bunch of like Oklahoma.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Fans just like I just feel it in my soul.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Patriots lost, and that's on you, Kevin. I know, Cowboys loss,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: that's on you, Eddie. That was brutal man. Arkansas lost again,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: that's on me. And Taylor Swift didn't show up and
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: that's on Reed. You guys follow us at twenty five whistles.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: Thanks for the show. Go check out our episode of
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: too Much Access with Kansas State and Eddie. If you
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: want to blow us, we'll get out of here. I
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: got you, mante right, all right, We'll see you guys,
